Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are now so way yo. It's an Angela what
I call it her Yeeyday.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Way up? What's up?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
It's way up with Angela Yee. It's a Friday, and
you know that is my absolute favorite day of the week. Now,
Mano is back from vacation. He's going to be joining
us in a little while when he gets here, because
you know how it is, he was in the Bahamas
for his daughter's birthday and it looked like he was
also you know what, I'm not even gonna talk about
him while he's not here because he'll be here shortening.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
It's also a very special Friday because it's a.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Holiday on Sunday. Now what holiday is that? Well, Angela
Yee Day. Now, the real actual date is August twenty eighth,
but what we've decided is that when we have the event,
it's always going to be on the weekend before, right
around Angela ye Day. And so this Sunday, August twenty
seventh is Angela Yee Day. That is at the Barclays
(01:00):
and we are going to have some amazing performances for
you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm really excited about this. A lot of this is.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Very i would say very Caribbean based because the West
Indian American Day Parade is next week, and so I'm also,
you know, half Caribbean. My mom's Montserrat and so that's
why it's important to me. So I'm excited for you
guys to come out to RECAP. I can promise you
right now on Monday, my energy is going to be high,
(01:26):
but I am going to be exhausted and we'll keep
you updated on everything that's going on. But if you
are in the area, come on out have some fun.
Everything is free. I mean there's massages, henna tattoos, there's haircuts,
hair braiding, everything that you can think of, and free performances.
So I cannot wait for you all to come out.
(01:47):
There's going to be some surprises. Of course, Mana will
be here today, but he'll also be joining me for
angela Y Day and he's got his group, the Stye
Babies that I know he's going to have them just
out circulating around. So excited for you to see all
of that all right, today, the OMD girls are going
to be joining us.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
They are back together.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
It's really this lawsuit against these OMG dolls that kind
of brought them back together. But Zionique is gonna be here,
Basia and Brianna, all of the OMG girls are going
to be in the building with us celebrating, and they're
pretty fun. So I can't wait because last time I
talked to them, they were teenagers and now they're in
their twenties. So if you want to feel old, guys,
(02:27):
you remember when the OMG girls first came out, and
you can see that they are young women.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
As a matter of fact, Zanik is even a mother now.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
So that's what we got for you guys, And as usual,
we start the show where you guys get to shine
a light on them. Eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty is a number. Call us up and
let us know who you want to shine a light on.
It's way up with Angela Ye.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
I'm gonna shine.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Shine the light on them, shine a light on them.
Speaker 5 (02:58):

Speaker 2 (03:00):
What's up. It's about you for Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
I'm Angela Yee and it's a Friday, and it's a
Friday before Angela Yee Day, and so to shine a
light today let me tell you, guys, this is not
an easy event to pull off. There's a lot of
moving parts, and I want to thank everybody who has
been involved, but in particular right now, I want to
thank all of the iHeart staff who has been working
really hard behind the scenes to pull this off, because
(03:23):
there's calls that I missed and these guys are still
on them making things happen and talking with the Barclays
and making sure that everything is smooth. And so parents
who works with me, she's the liaison on my behalf,
but also Joe DeAngelis, Andrew Festo and Paul how do you
pronounce Paul's lest named Freed? Okay, Paul Freed, and Camden Suwiki,
also Nicki, Nicki Coral, everybody that's been working really hard
(03:46):
to make sure that you guys get to come out
and have a good time and not have to worry
about anything, that everything is free, that the artist's lineup
is in according to kaya's supposed to be. But listen, y'all,
I'm gonna tell you how I'm involved. I'm ana be
there and that's what you need, right a team. All
you got to do is show up. So thank you guys,
so much. I've been involved, but y'all have been the
ones that have really been back and forth on the emails.
(04:08):
I've just been checking in, but it's important, so I
appreciate all the hard work that goes into pulling off
an event like this. Now, who do you guys want
to shine a light on? Eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty Hey, James, who you want to
shine a light on?
Speaker 6 (04:21):
I'm shining to light on actually you and your whole show.
There's a lot of things that y'all do everything in
the community, but I I just came out of a
rough time listening to you and you know, everything that
y'all do for the community and everything like that. I
just want to tell you congratulations for what you've done
this year and all your accomplishments. Jazzline and New Maino.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Well, thank you so much. James.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
I appreciate that if you in New York, come to
Angela E Day Sunday and celebrate with us.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Man, I'm coming to New York too. I'm actually from Brookburn,
so I emailed you a while ago because I'm coming
up there soon. But it's been a I haven't been
up there since sixteen. So I want to plan a trip,
but I don't want to do the touring stuff. So
I just want to know what, Like, how do you
know what I'm saying? Get in with what?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Send me a DM. I'm gonna give you a list.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
All right, that'll work.
Speaker 7 (05:14):

Speaker 2 (05:14):
All right, James, Thank you?
Speaker 7 (05:16):
You have a good one.
Speaker 8 (05:17):

absolutely beauty.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Well, thank you, James. I appreciate it. It's probably love broken,
all right. Well that was China Light on them eight
hundred two ninety fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't
get through, you can always still leave a message express
the love. And when we come back, let's talk about
Yet Nicki Minaj will find out who has a warrant
out for their arrest and it's because they've been harassing her.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
It's way up at Angela yee.
Speaker 9 (05:45):
She's like to talk like they Angela ye, like they
Angela jee.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
Man, She's spilling it off.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
This is yet, Well, what's up as way up at
Angela yee. I'm Angela yee, and it is time for
your all right, Nicki Minaj, Now she was getting swatted.
That's when people kept on calling and saying that there
was something going on in her house, calling nine one
one with all of these false reports. Well, Nicki Minaj
(06:12):
had originally posted on social media to the woman who
made those swatting calls to my home, A warrant is
in the system.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Great detective work. So grateful.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
The DA filed one count for the swaten call and
one for the false report to DCFS.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
To God be the glory.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
So according to TMZ, they are saying that there are
two charges of deliberately reporting a false emergency and there
is also a warrant out for this person's arrest. Now,
Nikki did post her name Stephanie Bell on social media,
so I'm quite sure the Barbes have been doing their
research to find out who this woman is.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
All right, And Stephen A.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Smith has announced that Shannon Sharpe will be joining ESPN's
First Take, and that is going to happen September fourth.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Here's what he had to say.
Speaker 10 (06:56):
You know, I honestly didn't know I had an announcement
to make until Little Will Lead sixty seconds BEFO, But
I was informed this morning mister Shannon Shop will be
joining the crew. He will debut Monday, September fourth. He
will be on here every Monday and Tuesday with yours truly.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Right, So after leaving Skip Bayless's undisputed, now he is
going to be on first take.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
So that's a big deal. I think people are going
to really enjoy that.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
And flow Writer, his concert was dangerous according to fans.
There was an infant that was crowdsurfing. I don't know
what parents would be okay with something like this, but
the baby was being held and passed through the audience
and then passed to flow Writer, who held the baby
on stage up in the air like it was Simba.
(07:45):
And I don't understand why somebody would want to do
this to their child. Anything could have happened, and if
I was flow Rider, I would have been like, who
the hell did this to their child?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
That is some bad parenting, all right.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
And Lizzo was planning to counter suit dances as new
evidence comes to light. She is on the end of
some backlash after some of her ex dances have filed
a lawsuit against her.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Now she is planning to.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Strike back some of the things in this lawsuit, which
was obtained by a variety. She's accused of pressuring one
of the women into touching a nude performer at a
club in Amsterdam. According to the report, this happened back
in February. Her accusers have also claimed they were essentially
forced to go to a topless show in Paris, but
her attorney said that this claim contradicts the photos, as
(08:31):
they are seen happily cavorting backstage with these dancers. In
addition to the photos, one month after that visit, one
of the accusers, Arianna Davis, was seeing gushing over Lizzo
in an audition tape. We played that for you guys previously.
Lizzo has denied all of these allegations. She even released
a statement firing back, saying, and usually I choose not
(08:51):
to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable
as they sound and to outrageous to not be addressed.
Keep you guys updated on that countersuit and Young Doug
and ysl are accused of creating security issues in prison.
These are new accusations and response to increased police presence
in court now. According to all hip hop People believe
(09:14):
that the fortress like atmosphere in the courtroom could influence
thugs right to a fair trial. They also claimed that
they increased police presence could have an effect on the jury,
making him look more guilty.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Well.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
The State of Georgia and the DA have responded.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
They said that Young Thug and his fellow ysl CO
conspirators have caused a number of disruptions throughout the court proceedings.
They shared a list of twenty different times since the
beginning of the trial in January that various members have
broken rules either in the courtroom or in jail proceedings,
so it's not looking good for them.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
All right, Well that is your yet. I'm Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
And when we come back, we have about last night,

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Yeah, you know, you gotta make sure you go visit
everywhere on the island, not just the resort.
Speaker 11 (11:28):
Maybe a few dollars at the same time and pull up.
You know it was, I will say it was. It
was very nice.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
All right, Well we're not back for sure absolutely now.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I actually just came from doing the news out here

let me tell you, I do not be out late
at night. And the party did not even start until
like midnight.

Speaker 4 (12:40):

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Yeah, I think they came from something. They saw you.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
As I was at the fiftieth thing. Yeah, you know me,
I had a cape on.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
It was a dinner.
Speaker 11 (12:51):
The dinner it was like a banquet, fund raising things.
A lot of politicians there. You know, I met that
I never met before. I met a day last soul
past the news I met day I saw. I was
really excited about that.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
That is dope. Okay, I actually know them. I love
those guys, all right. Well, yes, and Kevin Lyles was there,
you know, the founder of three hundred Entertainment. Yeah, so
it was a it was a good night. But let
me tell you something. I'm hurting today, okay, because I
was out so late.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
And okay, what time did you go to sleep?

But what time did you go to sleep?
Speaker 2 (13:34):

Speaker 4 (13:37):
So if you went, if you went past three o'clock.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Absolutely one hundred thousand into my world. I shout out
to Rashida Jones. She also came out last night too.
She's the president of MSNBC, so she was there. I
respect her so much for her position and what she's
doing and everything going on. I saw it was a
(13:59):
lot of things going on last night.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
So I'm just and this weekend there's a lot of
things happening.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Spike Lee is having like a Prince Versus Michael Jackson
event in Brooklyn.
Speaker 4 (14:08):

Oh yeah, you got to get a k because I
know you love Kate Cake and I know what else
you love. Tell us a secret, right, let us know,
Mano gets nervous anytime I'm about to say something because
you don't know what I'm about to say.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
But tell us a secret when we come back.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Y'all know this is Mayno's birthday coming up next week,
and so just in time for that, let us hear
some juicy secrets. We missed you on a couple of them.
There was some that got told that people were like,
if Mana was here, he would have lost his mind.
There was one woman who called last week and she
is dating I guess a baller who plays overseas and
(15:25):
told him that she's pregnant even though she's not, and
he is so stressed out. Yeah, they were like, if
Mana was there, he would have called her a legend.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Yeah, no, she's not a legend. Pocket.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Well, listen, you guys called us up because you know
Mano loves this and tell us a secret. Eight hundred
two nine two fifty one fifty is the number again,
that's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty it's
way up at Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Oh, this is a judgment.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Freeze on, tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
All right, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Mayo is here, look right looking judgmental. Uh it
looks like you got that judgment, Gene, say listen.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
I mean people want the truth. People want to be
the need direction and correction.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
So you want people to start trying to justify the
things that they do.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Right way and the wrong way to do even wrong.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
But we also want people to feel like this is
a space where you can tell us anything without judgments.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
It's a balance, all right.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Hello, anonymous caller, how are you?
Speaker 13 (16:32):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (16:32):
I'm good and I'm good.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
You want to tell me a man of a secret?
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (16:37):
Absolutely. I had this lady I was dealing with, right,
she was my ex and we broke up whatever, We
linked back up some years later, and you know, we're
killing we're doing our thing.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Man.
Speaker 7 (16:50):
I got that man not even thirty seconds and study
you know, we're letting me go. And before I know,
my pride got in my way and I couldn't just
be honest, so I I told her, like though, this
is trash. Don't you ever call me le good and
tell me to come stay with you? Hey, you know
pretty much, I ain't gonna lie that think that thing
was nice? Man, I ain't gonna hold you. But I
(17:11):
couldn't let hundred that that one up on me. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
So that was the end of it.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
I mean we're still friendly, cool like she she just
love it, brother, But I just couldn't come and tell
her like how good that thing was.
Speaker 11 (17:23):
I didn't want to let her know that it was
really good. So you told her it was trash.
Speaker 7 (17:28):
Yeah, in fact, that's what I did. I ain't gonna
hold you.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
That feels like you hurt yourself more than you hurt
anybody else.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
I'm not enjoyed that.
Speaker 7 (17:35):
Yeah, hey listen, he listen, man, she would never know
unless she hear his time here, this and this, oh that,
that's such and such.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
So basically, you're scary. You're scary.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
I don't wouldn't scary. I did put that, put that
in the universe, that's all.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
So let me ask you this, How does she not know?
You don't make a noise or shake or nothing?
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Shake?
Speaker 7 (17:56):
Oh nah, I ain't gonna finck. We was young around
that time, were talking like twenty five thirty years ago.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Okay, MANA wants to know what's here on Facebook?
Speaker 7 (18:04):
My Facebook said, I don't do social media. Listen real
quick as your man o, Man, I just want to
let you know I see your transition. I've been where
you've been. I know your homeboy, Gino, that was my
dieing sing thing, and I just want to let you know, man,
like I preach like dude like you let me know
that I can. I can make you. That's all I can.
(18:25):
Only like five years and I'm doing real well for myself,
brother man. And if you see your boy, Gino, you
better know I still love him. I still say they reach.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Out to me, okay, right.
Speaker 7 (18:36):
You know, by the way, my name is Buddy. So
at the end of the day, just let them know
Buddy to shouting them out.
Speaker 3 (18:43):

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I'm good, I'm good. It's me and maina and we're
not gonna judge you. We want to hear your secret.
Speaker 14 (19:12):
Hey, okay, so I had sex with the twenty one
year old son of the president of my job.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
How did that even happen?
Speaker 4 (19:22):
That was nice? Was drugs?
Speaker 8 (19:24):
Just drinking?
Speaker 14 (19:25):
I'm saying one thing with another? And I was like,
he actually think I got a bar around the corner
from his house. So not only did I have sex
with his son, but I stayed in.
Speaker 15 (19:34):
His house too.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
He still lives with his dad.
Speaker 14 (19:37):
He's like twenty one.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
So okay, all right, Oh my gosh, were you scared
that his dad was gonna come home or see you?
Speaker 14 (19:44):
No, because you know I got the I mean, he's
gonna be but I was scared, to be honest, that
I was gonna get caught on the ring camera.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
I know, like is that such? So did you only
do one time? Or is this an ongoing thing?
Speaker 14 (20:02):
Not just the one? But you know, in my mind,
I had to secure the bad.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
So it's secured.
Speaker 14 (20:09):
Yeah, how you what you're gonna saying?
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Like, was it your fall?
Speaker 14 (20:12):
Was it my fault? Was a harassment? Did you come
on to me? And I'm unslerible?
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Okay, So she's saying she if they tried to fire her,
she could be like, this happened, and now that.
Speaker 15 (20:26):
Out here.
Speaker 11 (20:27):
So you so you would say that it was harassment,
you were like spend the story of that.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
No, you can't do that. See, this is the right
way or the wrong way to do wrong. That's what
I'm saying. Oh my god, wrong like that. You can't
do that, you got it.
Speaker 11 (20:40):
You can't say that it was a harassment or he
came on to you when you could take it to
the whole exactly. She's playing with that man life.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
She was just threatened.
Speaker 14 (20:51):
He's young, he got time to figure out.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
So he got time to figure it out. That's a
messed up way to be thinking.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Well, thank you for sharing your secret. And look, let
this be like listen to everybody listening. There is a
right way and a wrong way to do wrong.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
That's a fact. Man.
Speaker 11 (21:04):
She lay down with the little boy and then then
turn around to say that he harassed her.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Well, hopefully she don't do that.
Speaker 14 (21:10):
If I mean to give my money, I'm secure my bag,
I'm trying to buy a house.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
I feel I feel you. But it's other ways. You
get to one about that.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Black queens all right, well, thank you for calling.
Speaker 14 (21:21):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
That took a turn.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
Yeah, that was bad. That's exact right. That's you see
how girls plot on on on young men. You see
what she said.
Speaker 11 (21:34):
If she got to say that it was harassment and
all this other stuff to save her, to secure her bag,
she gonna say that lying.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Listen, and I know this is normally a no judgment zone,
but don't mess.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Up that kid's life.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I'm judging. All right.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Well, when we come back, we have your yee tea,
and let's talk about the Real Housewives of Atlanta. The
reunion trailer is out and it looks like it's gonna
be extra super messy.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
It's way up with Angela.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
Ye yea t next Oh, she's about to blow the
lead ab off this by let's get it. Angela's feeling that.
Speaker 11 (22:02):
Yeete, come and get the tea.
Speaker 15 (22:05):
What up?
Speaker 4 (22:05):
This way up at?
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Angela?
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Yee?
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Angela yee? And Mana was here?
Speaker 4 (22:09):
No man Yeah?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Back from the behind is tanned up, Cassie. You look,
are you peeling a.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Little of the jet skis?
Speaker 3 (22:16):
But we are doing yeet and listen, Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The reunion trailer is available. It's going to be a
two part reunion and it all kicks off on Sunday,
September third, And man, this looked like it is going
to be a mess. Uh So, First up, Kenya Moore
versus Marlow Hampton. It looks like Kenya is serving Marlo
Hampton with a subpoena.
Speaker 16 (22:39):
It's a little thing on Discovery.
Speaker 17 (22:42):
Her phone number appears in Mark's fall records.
Speaker 16 (22:44):
You will have to appear in Core. Here is your subpoena.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
All right, So she's saying that she saw your phone
number and my husband or soon to be ex husband's records.
It's also Charae versus Candy.
Speaker 16 (22:59):
You always talk about shot.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Oh yes, you were turned out running you could never
in your face.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Okay, it's really getting spicy. And then Jerusaleora versus her
husband Ralph. You know they're getting divorced and it hasn't
been amicable one and here's what happened.
Speaker 16 (23:18):
I don't know why you're here.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Do you too think there's any hope for a reconciliation?
Of course, I love my way.
Speaker 13 (23:24):
You just told me you are getting bossed around the world.
Speaker 7 (23:27):
Who is this?
Speaker 1 (23:28):
It said?
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Are you gonna bring me back?
Speaker 16 (23:30):
That you constantly throw it on my name, and you
think I up with that.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
You're acting right.
Speaker 12 (23:37):
Out.
Speaker 16 (23:38):
I'm not sitting here. I'm not doing this right now.
Speaker 12 (23:41):
I don't take it.
Speaker 16 (23:42):
I don't take it at home. I'm not gonna take
it here.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Listen, I don't know their relationship is going. That's Juice
and her husband, Ralph. She's the actress. So the main
thing on the show, I got to educate you, right.
The main thing on the show is that every time
that that happens, they say that she's acting, so they
don't believe when she's emotional about anything or when something
bothers her.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Yes, she is.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
And her and her husband, Ralph, they've definitely been rocky.
He's done a lot of things, and so she went
to file for divorce, but he tried to race and
do it first, and it's just a messy situation. He'll
come someplace, say hi to everybody but her at the events.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Really, yes, I would do something like that.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Give this man a peach, right, petty, you're petty like
that all right? And in other Housewives news, you know
Kim Zoziak who was on Real Housewives, Her and her
husband were going to get divorce. Kroy Berman and they
actually decided to work on their relationship. But now he
has again filed for divorce. So he's refiled for the
(24:45):
second time in four months. They both filed to legally
dissolve their marriage. They've been married twelve years. Back in May.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Remember she had the son don't be tirdy for the
putty that Candy did for her.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
They decided not to split just last month, and now
he has refiled again, and so there you have it.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
We'll see what happens. People kind of went her back
on the show.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Really.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
I was asking Mane behind the scenes, if you had
a choice, which one would you be on? Basketball Wives,
Real Housewives, or Love and Hip Hop?
Speaker 11 (25:11):
And I said Basketball os R's that's the one I
know more.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
I don't know Real Housewives. I never watched one episode.
Oh you should God.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah, you'll like it all right?
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Well yeah, so and other news, Uh, you're guys, Jim Jaye,
I said, Jim Jones, Mace and Cameron. It looks like
they are adding Antonio Brown to there. It is what
it is show and that is for a football season.
They posted that September fourth, He's going to be added
to the show.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
To them, Yeah, I mean I hope that.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
You know, if he does it, he's gonna commit to
it and really show up.
Speaker 11 (25:52):
And they got it. They probably don't need him every episode.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Right, even if he doesn't, Who knows what he might say?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Who knows? All right?
Speaker 3 (26:00):
And speaking of love and hip hop, love and hip hop,
Atlanta a little scrappy. You know, he is also single
now and it's kind of new for him. He's excited
about it. It feels like he and and Chaotic are
really good friends now, hanging out all the time. Well,
here's what he had to say about forgetting that he
was single.
Speaker 18 (26:19):
I was in the club the other night and Emo
said all the single people in the market, like, throw
your hands up, you single, put your hands up, And
I forgot I was single. I would like just sending
there my home over, like, hey, bro, all the single
I was like, Oh, I put my mom in. Uh
it didn't feel good. It feel good when I wake
(26:42):
up and I'm I'm at peace. But I ain't like that.
I was like part of the single crew.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Nothing wrong with being part of the single crew.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Forget sometimes you forget your single.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Well, he's been in a relationship for so long, he
went from one to another to another.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
And sometimes you forget you like, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
I'm allowed to do this. I'm so used to sneaking around,
sneaking around. All right, well that is your ut. And
when we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are under the radar. So I guess we can't
talk about Donald Trump's mug shot. It's way I put
Angela yee news.
Speaker 5 (27:19):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yes, it is way I put Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
And may know is here yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
And it's time for under the radar, the stories that
are not in the headlines. They are under the radar,
but you need to know about them.
Speaker 7 (27:37):
Now.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Apple, if you sleep with your phone while it's charging
next to you, they are warning that that could lead
to fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the phone
or property. All right, So, nearly one point five million
people use iPhones, and sixty four percent of those people
live in America, and they charge their phones while they sleep.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
I do.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
I do too. I leave my phone the charge of
while I'm sleeping. So they said, the phone and USB
power adapters can get hot while charging, which can lead
to discomfort or injury. And so basically just use common
sense and don't charge a phone near liquid and discard
damage charges immediately. And that can also cause issues if
(28:19):
there's moisture present. By the way, So just letting you know, man,
I stop sleeping with your phone.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
I have two phones charging at the same time.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Next to you.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
I always wonder about overcharging too, like.
Speaker 13 (28:33):
Is it bad?
Speaker 4 (28:34):
And then when you touch your phone it's hot.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah, well that's not a good sign. All right.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Now, another thing we're going to teach you about today
is how many times you should wipe after taking a
number to a dump.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
All right, So you.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
May be saying, you know, how come when I go
and I wipe myself there's still more stuff afterward. Well, now,
physiotherapists from Australia he uh, you know, is actually giving
you that answer.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
And here is what she had to say on tiktop.
Speaker 12 (29:06):
So when you're wiping more than two or three times,
that's called fecal smearing. So it's essentially when too much
fecal matter stays at the entrance of the anus even
after you've finish shapoop. A technique you can use to
reduce the number of times you wipe is squeezing your
public floor in a waterfall formation. So start by squeezing
the ans twenty percent, then fifty percent, eighty percent, one
hundred percent, so that you've squeezed it four times at
(29:28):
the end.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Of your poof.
Speaker 12 (29:29):
This can help close off the anus sphincter, which is
the reason why you're having little bits of stool still
hanging around the entrance. It's normally from weakness through that
external sphincter.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Who else tried to squeeze twenty eighty percent while she.
Speaker 11 (29:42):
Was seeing it, She's each time eight, not at all.
I'm not even thinking about what she's talking about. Maybe
she this is her culture or something I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
All right, Well, some people are talking about pre existing
conditions that prevented them from having proper toilet techniques.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
One person said, I have crones. Wiping is my profession.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
One person said I'm here he as chewbaccas like wiping
peanut butter off a Persian rug. Another person said I
had a fourth degree here with baby number one. There
is no amount of toilet paper that is enough. I
like to use whites.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Of course, this is a conversation. This is crazy.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
I think it's important. So we're actually doing a intervention
with you may not.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
No, you're not. No, you're not, absolutely not.
Speaker 11 (30:29):
So you have a wiping three times, got a duty butt,
stop playing, Nope, listening ane of.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
All right, bring in the fecal experts, all right. And lastly,
Donald Trump, he did say that being booked in jail
was a terrible experience.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Shocking because I don't know anybody that said it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
And here's what he had to say after he was
there for twenty minutes getting booked at Fulton County Jail.
Speaker 7 (30:56):
It's a very.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Sad day for America.
Speaker 7 (30:58):
This should never happen.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Challenge an election, you should.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Be able to challenge an election.
Speaker 9 (31:03):
I thought the election was a rigged election, a stolen election,
and I should.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Have every right to do that. As you know, you
have many people that you've been watching.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
Over the years do the same thing, whether it's Hillary
Clinton or Stacy Abrams.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Or many others. It's what has taken place here is
the travesty of justice. We did nothing wrong.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
I did nothing.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Wrong, all right.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
A Newsmax host Greg Kelly asked him what it was like,
and he said, I was hitting very nicely, but it
is what it is. I took a mug shot. I
had never heard the word mugshot. They didn't teach me
that at the Wharton School of Finance. Well, Donnie, we
don't know if he'll be in there wiping three times and.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Dull wipe three times.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Man, that's a signal. Yeah, little all right.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Well, he also already has posted his mugshot, and the
mugshot was made public by Fulton County Jail. He put
the mugshot on his his Twitter for the first first
tweet that he's had since January of twenty twenty one.
And they're already selling Merchant mar Today teaturing much.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Yeah, shirts is already out there.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
So the Donald Trump campaign already has these shirts available.
They're thirty four dollars and they're cashing in on that.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
All right, well, that is your under the radar. And
when we come back, you know, we.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Got the Way Up mixed on a Friday at the
top of the hour, plus the OMG girls will be
joining us on a Friday.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
It's way Up with angela. Ye.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
This says in the rooms from industry shade to all
of gossip. Angela's spiling that.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Et all right his way up at Angelayee, I'm Angela
Yee and Mano is here.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Man and let's get into some yet.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Georgia State University College of Law, they're now doing a
course that's focused on Rick Ross. It's called the Legal
Life of Rick Ross. They're gonna look at the contracts
that he signed along the way and discuss how that
impacted everything that he has going on. And class topics
include the creation of his Maybach music group, Imprint Dal,
(32:58):
agreements for multiplatinum hit like Hustling, and he's even going
to make an appearance himself. And they actually kicked off
the first class with his mom and his sister. So
that's dope because you know, he still talks to them
all the time and consult with them before he does
any deal. So they do a lot of things as
a family, right right, right, And little Baby has announced
(33:21):
his nonprofit is gonna it's called for the People, plans
to make music programs in HBCUs. And so we love
that everybody is trying to do some positive things, positive
when it comes to education, all right, So he said
he teamed up and they're going to be opening up
a music class in different HBCUs. It's going to be
really big and roll out like everywhere, and he's going
(33:42):
to do some things with Apple and different services and stuff,
so you'll definitely see it. So congratulations to him for
doing something like that, because when you go to college,
it's really nice, but you can take courses about things
and people.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Who you're interested in. Right, all right?
Speaker 3 (33:56):
And Fat Joe recently was on the rap Radar cast
This was yesterday, Why are You Smile? And he also
said that he once forgiveness from Drake.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
You know that Drake called him to be on all
the way up. Here's what he.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Said, Drake facetimed me three times trying to get on
all the way up.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Send me the instrumental. I wish I would have got
Drake on.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
It, but the fact of all the history of me
and jay Z, I was like, you gotta.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Be just me and jay Z.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Man.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
He should have kept the Drake verse though, he got like.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Send the verse over, but then you can't get a
Drake verse and I use it.
Speaker 11 (34:39):
No, you should have us should have two remixes, the
jay Z Remix and the Drake remix.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
That's a plan because look, may no, if Drake facetimed
you three times, it was like, yeah, it's over, you know,
for my city, I need to be on that.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
It's not even a question.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
We gotta bump somebody whatever. But you know, jay Z,
you could have did too, like you said, had two remixes,
all right, And he said that Drake has not asked
him to be on a song since and has not
forgiven him, so now he wants Drake to forgive him.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Oh he did sent him some socks though.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
You think Drake is petty like that.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Drake is so petty.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
If Drake, if you are cool with somebody who he's
not cool with, then he's not cool with you know,
like he's I feel like he's a pretty petty person.
But he can afford to be.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
Yeah, I mean when he can do it.
Speaker 11 (35:27):
Yeah, when you're at the top of the food chain,
you can pretty much do what you want to do.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
If he has beef with you, he might send somebody
who's your enemy a bottless champagne. You know, petty, You're
petty too, pretty much? Okay. Now, Nicki Minaj has made history.
She is the first female celebrity that's been made into
a character on Call of Duty, so that is actually
available for purchase right now. The Nicki minaj Operator Bundle
(35:54):
includes her as a playable operator, as well as a
special loading screen, the Nicki Whip vehicle skin, and the
Baddest and super Freaky weapon blue prints.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
So making history. Here's what that sounds like.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
Lake time.
Speaker 16 (36:07):
Oh but when Nikki chaps in.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Pull up a monster Mobile, Gangsta, he could be the King.
Speaker 16 (36:16):
Well watch the Queen Kanko.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
All right, that's a huge deal, big yeah, big big,
And the Lakers are going to be unveiling a statue
of Kobe Bryant on February eighth. The team announced this
alongside Vanessa Bryant. So Vanessa Bryant made the announcement in
a video that was posted to the Lakers social media accounts,
and she made this announcement on.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Mamba Day, which was yesterday. All right, here's what it said.
Speaker 19 (36:42):
As you know, Kobe played his entire twenty year NBA
career as a Los Angeles Laker. Since arriving in the
city and joining the Lakers organization, he felt at home
here playing in the city of angels On behalf of
the Lakers my daughters and me. I'm so honored that
right in the center of Los Angeles, in front of
the place known as the House that Kobe Belt, we're
(37:04):
going in Villa's statue so that his legacy can be
celebrated forever.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
I love it. That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
That's gonna be a monument where people will be taking
pictures lined up.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
I still can't believe Kobe gone.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
I know, all right, well that is your yet and
you know it's a Friday, so you know what that means.
I've already been listening to Berna Boys album. I told
you jes is actually on the first Yeah, Friday's album
is out too.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
He's amazing.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
There's a lot of new music out today. So we're
going to discuss some great ones. It's gonna be a
fun weekend. It's way up with Angela Yee Hey.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
Yeah, you back at it.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Bring the Way Up with Angela Yee is on. Yes,
it is way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and yeah, here.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
We getting ready for Angela Day.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
You know what I'm saying. You know me like freaking
frecup here. So it's going to be outside at Angela
Yee Day.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
Mano is a.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Special guests, that's right, So I don't know what he's
going to be doing on that stage. But I'm also
crazy know that Mana was an honorary Jamaican and Angela
y Day is a week before one of the biggest parades,
the West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn, and so
that is the theme every single year, even though there's
other genres.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
This year, we do.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Have afrobeats, we have Soca, we have Dance of Reggae,
hip hop. I'm really excited for all of it. So
I'm gonna tell you everything that's going on. First of all,
it's free because I like to do stuff free for people.
I want you to come in not have to worry
about paying for anything, but also get free services.
Speaker 2 (38:35):

it's free, but you got to go to ticket Master
(40:12):
and get the tickets. And the last thing I want
to say is is also the Social Justice Fund is
working with us on this and they're actually going to
be donating twenty five thousand dollars to four amazing organizations.
They're dedicated to providing services to black women for healthy childbirth.
You know, black mothers in Brooklyn are nine times more
likely to die of pregnancy related complications than their white counterparts.
(40:34):
So we want to make sure that we help with
some of these inequities in maternal health care access and quality.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
All right, it's all for a cause.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
And when we come back, the OMG girls are going
to be joining us. O MG, it's way up at

Speaker 2 (40:51):
What's up? Its way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Jasmine is here with me from the Jasmine brand dot Com.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
Yes, and we got the OMG girls all right now?
Who's doing gum right me? Okay?
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Let me have you please get me right?
Speaker 16 (41:12):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
They are the only one finowing the rules. I want
you all right.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
So Zanika's hair.
Speaker 16 (41:21):
Star, well you could just it's just giving at this.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Just give.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Brihanna?
Speaker 2 (41:27):
Is it just giving Brianna this?
Speaker 9 (41:29):
Like?
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Okay, just give him break, just break, just okay, all right,
So we ditched those names from years ago.
Speaker 16 (41:37):
You know what, it's like, it's just younger us.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Okay, you're like girl who came up with that?
Speaker 17 (41:43):
So now we're like grown woman. It's like beauty Star,
baby doll. I mean, it's so people say, and we
still say, hey, yeah, like I feel like beauty baby doll.
Speaker 7 (41:53):
I mean.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
It did this thing though, but listen, and you guys
did from the group take a hiatus, but individually everybody
was doing their things still. Yeah, So let's flash back
to the beginning of the OMG Girls, right and how
it all started.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
And even like the friendship that you guys had back then.
Speaker 17 (42:10):
Well, me and Nique have known each other since birth.
Our moms have been best friends since they were ten.
The group started, and I want to say two thousand
and eight, two thousand and nine, it was just supposed
to be an episode of Tiny and Toya and we
had Regine and my little sister Lord is in the
group at the time, and when it aired, everybody was just.
Speaker 16 (42:27):
Like, oh my god, who are these girls? We want
to see them.
Speaker 17 (42:30):
So we ended up making it like a real group
and then you know, we went through some changes.
Speaker 16 (42:34):
We brought in Brea and we did Gucci's Gucci Dad
you know bat what is that?
Speaker 17 (42:40):
So you know, it just has always been this continuous thing.
But it's been really cool to like see our progression
even from the time we were twelve to like right
now with us being like in our twenties.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
So that when you guys did decide okay, because it
was like an eight year hiatus for OMG girls. So
what happened that you guys were like, let's take a
step back.
Speaker 17 (42:57):
We were, well, for one, we all grew up with
each other from like eleven to eighteen nineteen, so we
were just going through a phase where we just all
kind of individually want to do things individually. And it
wasn't anything where like we just were upset with each
other or something like that. Feel like people always feel
like with groups, especially girl groups, it's like, oh, like
(43:17):
they fell out, they don't like each other anymore, But
it was never anything like that, Like we just all
kind of want to venture into our own lives and
careers just figure some things out.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Now those men groups too, though, let's kind.
Speaker 16 (43:28):
Of put it on the female let be like that.
Speaker 17 (43:32):
Well, don't just do it by.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
Some stuff going on and the new song lover Boy.
That actually was the song that you guys had worked
on like years ago.
Speaker 17 (43:43):
Yeah, it was was performing and everything. But how it
came out was they got our footage from YouTube and
we were rehearsing and they seen it, and so once
they had put that out, we put it on our
show list and we were like performing it, but it
wasn't never the full song.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
It was just like the first two verses.
Speaker 17 (43:56):
And so with this new version, we got all three
verses including mine and stuff like that, a full song
and they're loving it.
Speaker 16 (44:02):
Yeah, it was a fan favorite.
Speaker 17 (44:04):
Yeah, one of our favorites to come like back into
the marketplace with that when it was like nostalgic for
our fans. We also felt like it was a timeless
record as well, so it was like just the right
timing and everything. I think like if we were gonna
come back, they like, y'all better come back with that
lover Boy, because yeah, think about it.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
Back then, y'all was singing about little Boy, and y'are
still singing about it now.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Literally back there.
Speaker 16 (44:32):
Yeah still, I like, now we understand the meaning of
the song women, because we've done been through some stuff.
We're like okay, like, yeah, this is what that means,
like you can't stop loving.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
You right now we are talking to the OMG girls,
and we know your mom also either one of your
mothers too.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
No, okay, I'm waiting, Okay, So.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
How is your child's personality developing? Like, I know it
has to be fun for you to see certain milestones.
Speaker 16 (44:59):
Well, for one, and she's a Sagittarius. Oh, you're sad.
Speaker 17 (45:03):
She's a lot of personality, y'all have a lot of personality.
She's only two, and I mean, I've never seen a
two year old like mam ch'all.
Speaker 16 (45:11):
I don't know if that just sounds like mommy.
Speaker 17 (45:12):
Is, but like she talks like a lot, like she
dances like Michael Jackson is her favorite person.
Speaker 16 (45:20):
That's so funny. She just I don't know, I've never
met someone like little fire signs.
Speaker 17 (45:27):
You're said she's sad, So I feel like all fire
signs are just like areas. So it's like we just
have that personality, you know what I mean. But hunters
like that too, and.
Speaker 16 (45:36):
I'm a water sign, so it's like cool, Yeah, I'm
so cool. She's just she's bouncing off all.
Speaker 9 (45:42):
Well, we know one thing we know she rides up,
she flies first class.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Kick her out, baby, Okay, y'all I felt you on that,
though I am not gonna lie.
Speaker 16 (46:03):
Come on, why she can't be in first class?
Speaker 9 (46:05):
You know what if I'm a mom, I have a
she's almost too one of the serious. I've never flew
with her, and I'm so terrified that she'll make no.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
I don't know, I'm.
Speaker 16 (46:14):
Just so scared.
Speaker 17 (46:15):
It's not a good feeling, like I mean, sorry, it's
like that, like I get nervous. I be sweating taking
her through the airport because it's just so much, and
you you worry about other people, like I don't want
you to, you know, be bothered by my kid.
Speaker 16 (46:28):
But it's like you can't help you. Yes, you know,
there's some stuff you just can't help. The bus in
the sky, like you knows, we have to deal.
Speaker 17 (46:35):
With whoever were coming in concept, And it's like if
you don't want to deal with like a baby crying
and you might need to like fly private.
Speaker 16 (46:42):
I am not somebody.
Speaker 17 (46:44):
I was crying when I saw that. When my cousin
called me, she was like, girl, she's talking about Hunter.
I'm like, uh, She's like, yeah, I would sitting next
to her, she's talking about your kid.
Speaker 16 (46:55):
I'll let me get on Twitter.
Speaker 17 (46:57):
I got to it was like people was like, girl,
they calling you out girl, you know Twitter right behind her.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
I don't think people had bad energy to her that because.
Speaker 17 (47:09):
With the other person, like they were like getting here,
clear this up. Because people was already on her head
about what she said. But then when they found out
it was her dog, it made it even worse, Like,
never was it.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Did she reach out to you to even try to
like clear it up or anything, because I know she's
talked about her mental health issues and so did she
reach out and say, like I just want to privately
talk to you.
Speaker 17 (47:34):
No, she didn't reach out to me privately. I feel
like she made some tweets publicly, but I don't know.
But then she went back on. At first she was
kind of like.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
Yeah, she still really yeah.
Speaker 17 (47:44):
I mean, honestly, I don't know her personally, so I
don't expect her to be like, oh, you know, I'm.
Speaker 16 (47:48):
So sorry to you, but you know, and I didn't.
Speaker 17 (47:51):
I wasn't ever going to just bash her because she
didn't know it was my kid, and she felt like
that that was her opinion.
Speaker 16 (47:56):
That's fine. But I just want her to know like
it was my kids. Listen, my kid.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
You know that's my kid, my mother.
Speaker 17 (48:08):
I don't like internet like back and forth. Just like right, ye,
we'll see each other in person.
Speaker 16 (48:16):
That I mean we made. We made. She is t
I Tiny's daughter.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
So you have them girls like.
Speaker 6 (48:29):
Twitter.
Speaker 8 (48:36):
You don't know me.
Speaker 16 (48:37):
You ain't going off you just like this is what it.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
Is, all right.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
The O m G girls are here, Jasmine Brand is here,
and we got more with them when we come back.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
It's the way up with Angela. Ye you the way
up with Angela? What's up this way? You put Angela yee?
Speaker 3 (48:53):
I'm Angela Yee And Jasmine Brand is here and we
are talking to the O m G girls.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
Now let's talk about MG girls getting back together.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
Because so, was this something that was really happened because
of the lawsuit?
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Did that bring or was it something that was gonna
happen regardless.
Speaker 17 (49:08):
I think, honestly, I think we would all say it
kind of would have happened regardless. But when we went
to La and January for the lawsuit, I think just
us being around each other and stuff like that, we
kind of were like, okay, like it would be dope
for us to come back together and really put something
out and just like show our impact and.
Speaker 16 (49:25):
You know, still continue on with what we were doing.
Speaker 19 (49:27):
You know.
Speaker 17 (49:28):
So when we finally were like, all right, we're gonna
do lover boy, Unty was like, I think this is
the one that's what we need to do. At that point,
we was like all right, cool, like whatever, And once
we did it, I think we're all super happy that
we did it because it's like we grew up together.
We were teenagers and young girls together, but now we've
grown women because.
Speaker 16 (49:44):
A mom, you know, me and b have our own
stuff going on.
Speaker 17 (49:47):
So it's cool for us to like be around each
other now like as grown women.
Speaker 16 (49:51):
You know, Like it's really fun.
Speaker 3 (49:53):
Except with this lawsuit, I know that there were some
issues with it. Is it and you guys are refiling
or what's happening with that against own g dolls.
Speaker 17 (50:01):
We don't really know how much we can speak on
when it comes to the case, but we're always going
to fight for you know, what we believe in and
for our creativity, right you know.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
It's still ongoing. Yeah, it's deeper than this.
Speaker 17 (50:15):
It's really about just any creative Like I think it's
so easy for big corporations to come in and take
from smaller creatives, and especially black creatives, black women. They
feel like we don't really have the resources or to
know how to really fight against something like that. So
I feel like for us to stand up for ourselves
no matter which way it went. It was more so
of a message like it doesn't matter what color you
are or how big a company is, Like, if you
(50:37):
have an idea and you worked hard to create it,
you should fight for it no matter what.
Speaker 16 (50:40):
And that's kind of like what we were feeling at
that time. The principle exactly, it was a principle.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Right now we are talking to the OMG girls.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Now let's also talk about so what are the plans
now that you guys are, like you said, strong a part,
but even greater together.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yeah, I think that that's like a marriage, right.
Speaker 17 (51:00):
Talking about recording new music though and releasing like more songs.
We're kind of navigating this space. It's real new, it's
still very fresh, but I think that we all really
want to record new music and put more music out.
So we're definitely like talking about those things. We're also
doing our lover Boy video. We're about to shoot that
so the fans can stay tuned for that.
Speaker 3 (51:19):
And yeah, I can't wait to see who y'all cast
as these lover boys.
Speaker 17 (51:23):
We're trying to figure it out, trying to get the
finest onetres be like, no, not cool enough, that's what
guys do us.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
Have you ever approached the guy first?
Speaker 13 (51:41):
No?
Speaker 4 (51:42):
I haven't, so I feel like men are real easy.
Speaker 17 (51:45):
You ain't got to like be like, oh hey, I
like you, you like the story, They gonna be your
DM my story, what's up? You ain't even got a comment?
They like, are way more easier than women. So it's like,
that's another way to.
Speaker 16 (52:01):
The basic for me. I'm gonna add to for my
man who's good with kids.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
Yes, okay, absolutely.
Speaker 16 (52:09):
Think that's true.
Speaker 2 (52:11):
But I know that you're not gonna let hunt to
me nobody for quite some yea, No I'm not.
Speaker 16 (52:15):
I'm not like that.
Speaker 3 (52:16):
And then you gotta figure out how do you introduce
like who is he? You know what I'm saying, because.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
She can't be like you know, that's weird.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Mommy's friends.
Speaker 16 (52:29):
Have you done that yet? Have you?
Speaker 17 (52:30):
And you know what, I can't visually see myself getting
that far with somebody like that, not like that, but
somebody that far yet, Like with my child being so young,
I can't see that for me right now, like having
another man around her at all.
Speaker 9 (52:43):
So especially what she has a father that's in her life,
Like what.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
About him having women around? Like, what do you'll have rules?
Speaker 16 (52:53):
See do I start explaining that, Well, we haven't gotten
to that point.
Speaker 17 (52:59):
Okay, Like we are like separated, but we pretty much
to live together.
Speaker 9 (53:04):
Okay, like it's we get family vibes, but we like
hope hear.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
Yes, you're like roommates. They have a tree together pretty.
Speaker 9 (53:11):
Much, sometimes a little bit more, sometimes not, you know
very much understand.
Speaker 2 (53:17):
Okay, who knows anything could happen.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
Well, well, thank you Dady so much. Honestly, we really
had a good time time with y'all today.
Speaker 11 (53:25):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 17 (53:27):
Yeah, this is like last time we saw you were
like a little girl. Yeah you like everybody's in a
holding space now. Yeah, yeah you too.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
We're gonna keep on watching everything that's going on, and
I know I'm gonna see y'all again. It's not a
question for sure for sure, all right, it's the MG girls,
MG women.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
It's way up at Angela. Ye and when we come back,
we have asked.
Speaker 15 (53:54):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (53:55):
Eight hundred nine fifty one fifty is a number.
Speaker 4 (53:57):
Call it up.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
Any questions you have. We are here to help.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
How about it?
Speaker 5 (54:00):
Since whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts, you.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Should you should know. This is ask what's up? Is
way up?
Speaker 3 (54:08):
With Angela Yee? On a Friday? I'm Angela Yee and
Mano is here?
Speaker 4 (54:11):
Yes, still here? I'm back Yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
Mayno's back from the Bahamas. I'm struggling today after being
out last night.
Speaker 4 (54:17):
Late saving the city.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
You know that's your job, okay, but you know it's
time to ask you.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
And speaking of saving the city, let's save some people
who need some advice. Eight hundred two nine fifty one
fifty is a number. If you have any questions, we
are here to help. It's me and my award winning
advice give a friends, got them?
Speaker 2 (54:34):
Mayo? All right, we have an anonymous caller on the line.
What's up girl? What's your question?
Speaker 7 (54:39):
So?
Speaker 8 (54:40):
What cast four months I've been sleeping with my best friend?
Speaker 3 (54:44):
Said, Wow, your best friend's dad And how did this
even kick off?
Speaker 8 (54:50):
Well, it's scient like innocent flirting.
Speaker 11 (54:54):
And then it kind of flourished.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
From there, innocent flirting.
Speaker 3 (54:59):
Okay, your bet friend's dad, what do you think is
he married still or is he single?
Speaker 2 (55:04):
He's married?
Speaker 4 (55:05):
Oh wow, you're really going for it?
Speaker 2 (55:07):
Huh do you have feelings for him?
Speaker 15 (55:11):
No?
Speaker 2 (55:12):
I mean it's been four months. Are you sure?
Speaker 4 (55:13):
So why are you doing it?
Speaker 10 (55:16):
Take scaring me?
Speaker 4 (55:18):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (55:18):
Okay? Security bag?
Speaker 4 (55:20):
Okay, okay, pay your rent?
Speaker 7 (55:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (55:23):
An you think I want hill?
Speaker 11 (55:25):
And then your best friend? Do you have fear that
she may find out?
Speaker 17 (55:31):
I do, because at first she was like, I think
for my dad, don't do that, and I would play
it's thirty?
Speaker 4 (55:40):
Did it anyway?
Speaker 8 (55:42):
Yeah? Because he made it.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
Very simpy, like is he attractive?
Speaker 16 (55:48):
Very Okay, he's so he's like six.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
Four, really really dark, and so what do you think
this could do to your friendship?
Speaker 2 (55:56):
Though she ever found.
Speaker 14 (55:56):
Out, I'm pretty.
Speaker 19 (55:58):
Sure we wouldn't be friends.
Speaker 4 (56:00):
Yeah. So you're willing, you're willing to risk it all?
Speaker 15 (56:04):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (56:05):
Yeah, that's the thing I plan on setting it.
Speaker 2 (56:09):
Uh yeah, but you want to still get that check?
Speaker 14 (56:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (56:15):
Yeah, she still want to.
Speaker 4 (56:16):
If you cut it off, you're not gonna get the
check no more.
Speaker 12 (56:19):
I know, And I'm okay with that Okay, So.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Give me on how to break it off and just
be finished. Okay, Well, I think the best way is
you're gonna just have to do a complete like cold turkey,
and so you can't ease out of this. It just
has to be something where you're like, look, you know
that's my best friend, and I'm thinking ahead because this
(56:45):
could end terribly if anybody ever found out. I don't
want to, you know, come in between your marriage. I
don't want to lose my friendship. So it's best for
us to just act like this never happened.
Speaker 14 (56:56):
Okay, that and.
Speaker 2 (56:58):
Maybe he'll still give you some money sometimes, you know
with that one, I mean.
Speaker 8 (57:02):
Because the beginning before, he was going to be money
before anything ever started.
Speaker 4 (57:08):
Right, So you probably didn't have to do nothing.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
Yeah, and I think you know, this is something that
you take to the grave, and he'll take it to
the grave too, and so you just gotta not renig
on your word though, you gotta really move on.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
I think, Okay, I'm going to the money.
Speaker 8 (57:26):
But I really love my friend, so.
Speaker 3 (57:30):
Yeah, and friends are valuable, all right, and you know
this is going to be devastating, So you know there's
a right and the wrong.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
Way to do the wrong thing right.
Speaker 4 (57:39):
There's the right way and the wrong way even when
you're doing wrong.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
So now you now you can write that wrong by
cutting it off before everybody gets hurt.
Speaker 13 (57:48):
Right, Okay, I'm going to go with that, all right.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Well, thank you for calling.
Speaker 4 (57:53):
Thank you, Jesus loves you.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
All right, Well, thank you so much for that asking
you and for your great advice.
Speaker 11 (58:00):
May No, I'm really good at it. You're award winning, ye,
award winning, justin get the trophy.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
Yet, but we do have a screenshot of an award
for you when we come back. Of course, you guys
always get the last word, and that means if you
had any secrets you want to tell us and he
asks ye questions, any shine of light or you just
want to, you know, get some feedback.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
Eight hundred nine fifty one fifty is a number.
Speaker 4 (58:21):
Call us up.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
Last word is next?
Speaker 5 (58:22):
Take up the phone tapping to get your voice heard.
Speaker 11 (58:26):
What the word?
Speaker 2 (58:28):
He's the last word?
Speaker 7 (58:29):
On?
Speaker 2 (58:29):
Way up with Angela?
Speaker 15 (58:30):
Ye?
Speaker 4 (58:31):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (58:31):
His?
Speaker 2 (58:31):
Way up with angela?
Speaker 15 (58:32):
Yee?
Speaker 2 (58:33):
I'm angela yee. And may now is here.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
You may No, I'm so glad you're back. I'm back,
but I know your birthday's coming up.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
So I feel like you're dipping out again.
Speaker 4 (58:40):
You got to spin out again.
Speaker 2 (58:43):
You are spinning.
Speaker 4 (58:44):
I'll be back against spinning.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Is spinning?
Speaker 16 (58:47):
All right?
Speaker 2 (58:48):
Well, you'll be back outside on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
I feel like we should get you a cake on
stage for angela Ye Day.
Speaker 11 (58:54):
No, what's your favorite cake? No, I'm gonna die alkaloon.
