Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are now angel what I call her?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Ye, Yeah, it's way up with Angela Yee, Angela yee,
and my b are.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Ever is here.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
Yeah, that's your friend.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, listen, it's been a few days since I've seen you.
You know, I was in Vegas for the iHeart Festival.
Prior to that, I was in d C for a
Congressional Black Caucus.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Of course you were, Of course I was.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
I was moderating a panel on Black.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Health, moderating Get Honor and all con stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
By the way, a very important conversation about heart health, yes,
you know, and cardiovascular disease and all the issues we
have in our community. How much more likely we are
to die from heart disease even though it's the number
one leading cause of death for black people, it's even worse.
So I think it's a lot of different issues that
(00:58):
it's Yeah, you know, it's a that and some people
will say it's genetic, but a lot of it is environment.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
It is what we eat, what we find in our
environments to eat, just a lot of different reasons why.
And so it's more about how can we do preventative
measures and how can we make sure that we take
better care of ourselves. Even going to the doctor right
and telling the doctor about this doesn't feel right, my
arm is none whatever it is, and sometimes they don't
take it seriously.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
People need to have the information, so they really advocate.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
It made me feel like, though, I need to go
and get a routine checkup because I feel like I
haven't gotten one in like over a year.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
And so always got to make sure.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And that all started because I did have high cholesterol
when I was younger, and I only found out because
I got my blood levels checked and.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
So so you didn't have no symptoms, No.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
There was no symptoms.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
What the doctor told me was, if you don't take
care of this now later in life, you might end
up having to take pills every day if you don't
handle this now. So preventatively, I made sure that I
took better care of myself. You know, I started doing
a lot more physical activity, not eating five foods like that,
watching what I eat, and fortunately everything levels out there.
(02:05):
You go, all right, So shout out to Black Health
for that conversation. Appreciate you guys, and am Jen as well.
Now Maino, I know.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
You're out in these streets south Side and.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
We're gonna talk about it because you have a great challenge.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, that's been going on.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I've been watching everybody taking part of this for my
city challenge.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
My city.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
We're gonna hear it's the best ones. Go to Mayno's
page right now. If you haven't seen this challenge for
whatever city that you want to represent.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Right, whatever scene you're from, we're talking y'all all right.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
In the meantime, let's shine a light on them. You
can call it a shine a light on your city too.
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is
and I'm gonna call us up and shine a light
on them.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
It's way yu put antelagee shame.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
I'm shin.
Speaker 7 (02:44):
Turn your lights on, y'all. Light it spreading love to
those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
Shan the light on, shine the light on. It's time
to shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, it's where you put Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Mano is here. No, no, not the old one, and
it's shining to shine a light.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I realized whatever I talk about or search for always
shows up in my on my Instagram.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah, it shows up in your search in your Google.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
So shout out to Black enterprise because they do great
work when it comes to showing us about entrepreneurship and
our community. And I want to shine a light on
two black women in Detroit as part of the construction industry,
Dennis Mitchell and kim Lee Nayler all Right. Mitchell is
the director of Community Engagement Engagement for Barton Marlowe and
Nayler owns Nail Right Construction company. Actually the one woman,
(03:35):
Dannis Mitchell, she actually did the bid to perform work
on the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings shared home
the Little Caesars Arena, and so she's also leading their
diversity efforts. And Narroler Kimley Naylor actually has her own
company that she built from the ground up after a
career in a real estate And so that's dope because
I feel like you don't see as many women in
(03:55):
those spaces, right, Yeah, So shout out to them, and
you know, it's always near and dear to me, just
because I do a lot of work in Detroit and
I'm trying to make sure that I you love Detroit more.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
We were just talking about some things that.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Will discuss you talking about Detroit.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yes, and yee Chee Wings, and.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
There's strip clubs.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
You were talking about the strip clubs, how they have
amazing food in the strip clubs.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
They're flying all over that ranch.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Sauce and Detroit. What was your favorite strip club?
Speaker 8 (04:21):
You said, I used to be a ship club years ago.
Call I think it was All Stars All Stars, Yeah,
I think so.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
All right, Well let's shine a light on them. And
who do you guys want to shine a light on today?
Eight hundred two, nine fifty one fifty what's up, Jerrey?
Who you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 9 (04:37):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (04:37):
You good morning. I just wanted to shine a light
on your DJ Maino DJ Maul. I went to him,
we went to ABCD together. So if you mentioned bull dogs,
you know what I'm talking about. But I just wanted
to shine a light on them because you know a
lot of brothers from high school and I went to
school with. It's just seeing them do something positive with themselves,
a nice advance somewhere. I remember when he first started,
(05:00):
I was like, yo, bro, keep doing what you're doing.
You won't make it somewhere. So now we be posting,
I'll be seeing it with you and all I'm.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Like, that's that's what's up?
Speaker 11 (05:07):
So okay, yeah, man, DJ shout out the DJ maub
I bought DJ maub to the Angela y Day and
he DJ just set for us me and stopping right.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, DJ Mauv shout out to him. Man took him
on tour with me, my guy.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
You know all the bodies are buried.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, all right, thank.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
You, thank you, have a good one, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
That was shine a light on him eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get
through and still want to shine a lights And when
we come back a Yee t it looks like Hollywood
writers have reached a tentative deal with studios and that
could end that month's long strike that's been going on.
It's been over one hundred and forty six days, so
let's talk about it. It's way up with Angela Yee.
She's like the tout, like a Angela Jean, like the
(05:55):
Angela Gee.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
Man, she's spilling it off. This is yet.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
It's way up at Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
I'm Angela Yee and Mano is here and we are
doing and before we get started, we want to send
some prayers to Crazy Bone.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
He is in the hospital fighting for his life.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
He's been hospitalized for a serious cardiovascular condition.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
It's called sarcoidosis.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
And it affects the lungs and lymph nos and it
can be life threatening if it progresses to heart or
severe lung disease. Apparently he was coughing up large amounts
of blood. On Friday, he underwent a cat skin and
doctors discovered an artery was leaking inside one of his lungs.
He underwent immediate surgery, but the bleeding didn't stop, so
he has since been sedated and placed on a breathing machine.
(06:41):
Wow prayers to him, Yes, absolutely, and that is not easy.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I saw a lot of people sending their prayers, but seen.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
An an interview with him recently talking about Bone.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah and busy. Bone wrote on his Instagram pray for Cray.
He said, can't sleep Sometimes you just gotta pray. So
we want to make sure that we send out our
prayers first and foremost today as we get this show
started all right now.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Hollywood writers have reached a tentative.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Deal with studios and that ended a strike that lasted
one hundred and forty six days. And so this tentative
agreement was made possible as they've been having these conversations
all last week. They released a joint statement on Wednesday
confirming they had met for bargaining and that they would
resume talks on Thursday. So negotiations were all weekend, and
(07:26):
it was four straight days of bargaining. The mayor of
La Karen Bass, issued a statement following the ending of
the strike after a nearly five month long strike. I'm
grateful that the Writer's Guild of America and the Alliance
of Motion Picture and Television Producers have reached a fair agreement,
and I'm hopeful that the same can happen soon with
the Screen Actors Guild. So the actors are still on strike, right,
but this is the writers.
Speaker 8 (07:47):
That's the first step. I'm happy about that because I
was thinking it was going to last longer.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Yeah, people were saying until next year. They didn't think
that anything would happen. But they've been on strike since
July fourteenth, and it's been really difficult for a lot
of these writers.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
A lot of them already aren't getting paid enough, right,
you know.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I see people losing their houses and having all kinds
of financial it's just I'm very happy that they're able
to get back to work all right. An Usher has
been announced as the super Bowl headliner, and he's done
different skits just promoting his new announcements. And so here's
one that he did with Kim Kardashian, kind of reinventing confessions.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Hello, y'all, I'm in the booth. I'm gonna call you
right back. Wait, can you talk? Nah? I just gotta
put this one point down. I'm gonna call you that.
Speaker 12 (08:30):
It's Kim.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
I'm at the studio.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Man. I finally got the answer to those rumors. It's
not about me, it's about you.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
You're doing the super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
Who playing with me?
Speaker 5 (08:40):
You're playing the.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Apple Music halftime show in Vegas? No, for real, don't
play like that.
Speaker 12 (08:45):
I don't have time to play.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
How you know, I know everything. I've seen you in
Vegas twice, but this one's got to be different.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
Put that on everything.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I like that, and Usher released the statement, it's an
honor of a lifetime to finally check a super Bowl
performance off my bucket list. I can't wait to bring
the world a show on like anything else they've seen
from me before. I mean, I've just been having a
huge time just his Vegas show sold out NonStop.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Having to go ahead and extend his residency.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Taking dudes, girls, He.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Did not take anybody mamas.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Well U should also opened up about Jay Z calling
him after he found out that he was doing the
super Bowl halftime show, and here's what he had to
say as he spoke to Apple Music's Zane Lowe.
Speaker 12 (09:30):
Well, I mean, you know, me and the Big Homie
we talk often.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
But when I got this call and he said it's time,
It's magic time.
Speaker 12 (09:37):
You know, it's time for you to have that moment,
I'm like, what's you talking about? He's like the super Bowl?
Like you ready? Absolutely, but no question. Yeah, it was
like this was destined to happen.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
That's a fun call to have to make to somebody,
to have to call them and let them know, by
the way, want to do the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Absolutely, And he's been at.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
The super Bowl halftime show before. I think the I
got peased when they were the headliners. Usher, No, he
wasn't the headliner. He's headlining and putting together hite. Who
do you think he's going to bring out? If you
had to guess, he got it, you think he's gonna
do Alicia Keys, my boot. Yes, he's got to bring
out Little John and Ludacris, right, maybe Gez Love and
(10:19):
his club. What else did we want to see from Beyonce?
I mean us should have had so many collabsed to
Major three Yep, yep, didn't do I Need a Girl.
But that's but it's got to be Usher's song. But anyway,
he's got so much catalog. I can't even imagine the
amount of special guests that Usher could potentially bring out.
(10:41):
All right, well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night. That's where we
discussed whatever we did last night. For us, it's really
over the weekend.
Speaker 13 (10:49):
Ma.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
You know you got a lot going on and we're
going to discuss that later too. For My City and
get to hear some of the best challenges.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Of people that have been hitting you up.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
By the way, hit him up right now with your
format city challenge, right because you might make it up
to here what we're going to play it on the
show today and shout out to the Keys, my makeup artist.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
It's also her birthday.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
It was her birthday yesterday, all right, it's the way
you put Angela yee about last night next, So about
last night?
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Last night, last night I went down.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yes it's way you put Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee
and Maino is here. And just for transparency, we are
having some cake today. No, you are too. There's nobody
you can resist. This is our favorite cake right here.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
From the Melbourn favor. This is crazy, all.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Right, And so let's talk about last night. What did
you do this weekend?
Speaker 8 (11:37):
Maine, man, were putting on. We're putting on for the city,
were putting on for our city. We just started the
challenge from my city. You know, we just dropped the
record last week and we put on for the challenge.
And what I did was I took off my first
verse and allowed everybody from every city to jump on
there repday City and whoever got the best verse out
of every city, I'm gonna uploaded on all platforms.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
That's dope.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
That's great.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
So for everybody who wants to participate, all of our
artists out there, this is a great opportunity.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
All the spinners, everybody'd be walking and talking. Let's go.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
And you've been posting a lot of them too, which
is really dope.
Speaker 8 (12:13):
Listen, over one hundred came came through already. Wow, right,
so I could post. I couldn't post everybody yet, but
I will get to everybody.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
I gotta write my verse. I feel like I could
do it. Me and Jasmine, we can do it together.
We're gonna wrap Omaha and flat push.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Jasmine's down with Detroit.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
She's from Omaha, Omaha, but lately I moved to Detroit. Well, anyway,
let me talk about what I did over the weekend. First,
it all started off at Congressional Black Caucus. I was
there and I was on a panel for Black Health,
which was amazing to be able to sit down and
discuss Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (12:50):
You know, said Cake, this is crazy Jesus.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
And by the way, it's all about balance.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Right as we talked about black health and things.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
This ain't black help right here, No, it's not. This
is not black hell. But you know, you gotta just
take it easy after this today, Oh god?
Speaker 4 (13:08):
All right.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
In addition to that, it was also iHeart Festival in Vegas,
so I was out there. Sure was shout out to
DJ Whatever. I actually did lip service whatever, Yes with bows.
They had a booth set up for us to do
lip service. So Gigi from lip Service came out. We
talked to DJ Whatever, which was hilarious, different conversations.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Shout out to Gigi who is no longer engaged.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Nah, don't tell me that. Don't tell me that.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
She talks about it on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
So what happens?
Speaker 8 (13:37):
What happened to the engagement? Like she just got engaged
the first day she met dude and what happened?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the honeymoon never happened, but you'll hear
about it on lip Service as we did actually have
the some time to discuss that may don't calm down
with this. And in addition to that, I got a
chance to talk to Public Enemy. They opened up the
show for night too.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Yeah, so that was amazing. Bobby Bones.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I was co hosting a lot of the segments with
Bobby Bones, and so Bobby Bones, by the way, winner
of Dancing with the Stars, but also a great host
up here at iHeart Syndicated. And of course the Breakfast
Club was out there too. They were doing a lot
of interviews and a lot of introductions as well, and
so it was a new experience this year too. They
had a whole free outdoor part and so people could
(14:24):
come there and there were these different experiences they had,
like different little houses kind of for each of the
group's performing. So TLC they had a whole TLC experience.
So I did that me too, and by the way
they performed too, when I tell you they are so dope.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
That was so exciting for me.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
There's a few people in my career that I've been
excited to meet that I would never think out I've
been in this position like coming up and TLC is definitely,
you know, the largest selling girl group of all time.
But for me to even be able to meet TLC
or like Salt and Peppa, that was huge for me,
being able to sit down and have a conversation with them,
right because Mano, you never would have thought when you
(15:01):
were younger you'd be in a position to meet some
of these people. Absolutely, you used to watch on TV
and listen to their music.
Speaker 8 (15:07):
And I'll let them know listen, I'm a fan. I
don't feel nothing wrong with that. I hate when people
come up to me and be like, I ain't even
want no groupie ish, but I just want to take
a picture.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Listen. Don't you don't have to be a groupie to
be a fan.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yep, JJ fadd is going to be coming up here.
That's huge for me. I remember them JJ Fast Super Si.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
From Miami, right, I don't know where. Yeah, it was
from Miami.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
We'll find out all of that when they come up here.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
But anyway, in the meantime, as you're eating your cake,
we want you guys to tell us a secret. Eight
hundred fifty one fifty. You know Mayno's hare on a Monday,
it's for Monday Manovation, and it's for tell us a secret.
And you guys can call in. You'll be going viral, okay,
and they be mad at me, but I mean, it
ain't my secret. And there's no judgment eight hundred two
(15:50):
ninety two fifty one fifty. And you know why man
No can't judge you today because he is sitting up
here eating a whole entire.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Case is crazy.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
It's a way up at, Angela. You tell us a secret.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us the secret.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Yes, it's what you put the Angela yee I'm Angela
yee A. Mana is here, right, don't you fade out?
Speaker 6 (16:08):
Mana.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
We eat cake all right, and let's get into tell
us a secret. Eight hundred two ninety fifty one. Fifty
is a number.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
So you tell us a secret, Hello, anonymous, calor what's
your secret?
Speaker 9 (16:18):
Yeah? So I ended up having a baby with my
many mother. But girl, they actually stood together.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Wow, you a whole sucker. He's a sucker. Can we
hear the story? All right?
Speaker 4 (16:29):
So he doesn't know?
Speaker 8 (16:30):
No, I don't know all the women in the world.
You want to have a baby by your man's girlfriend.
Speaker 9 (16:35):
So basically he cheated on.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Her, okay, and you came in to save the day
to get her.
Speaker 9 (16:40):
No, she wanted to get her to eat that.
Speaker 8 (16:42):
But this is your friend, this is your brother, this
is your god. Like, do you not have no type
of integrity?
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Exactly?
Speaker 6 (16:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (16:49):
They always say exactly.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Are you sure it's your baby?
Speaker 9 (16:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (16:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah he got a bennuse Oh okay, wow.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
So do you feel like it's something that you want
to be there because you want to be in this
child's life and let it be known, or is this
something that you want to take to the grave?
Speaker 9 (17:06):
I thought about it. I mean I don't really know.
Like she asked me to like just stay away and
act like I don't know what's going on. But that's
what I've been doing.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
So what happens when dude find out?
Speaker 9 (17:18):
When you find out?
Speaker 8 (17:19):
Okay, so that you're cool with that, Dan, right, this
was this was your homie. You cool with just throwing
that whole relationship in the garbage.
Speaker 9 (17:26):
I mean we all work together.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
Oh man, this is together.
Speaker 9 (17:34):
Baby a year old?
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Now do you feel when you see him? Are you
act different or what I mean?
Speaker 9 (17:40):
I really just played my position.
Speaker 8 (17:41):
He gonna step in your chest when he find out, though,
you do know that that is hurtful.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
No, he not, he not, He not like that. He
ain't like that. That's why he did it. That's why
he did it.
Speaker 9 (17:52):
But look, look he brought that to himself, like she
came to me like you cheated.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Nah, that ain't business though, as a friend that.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
They just work together, all right? Well, the main thing
is though for this child. You know what I'm saying,
there's a baby here now, and you don't want to
be one of those stories. But later on in life,
the baby finds out it's not my real dad or
you know, it causes a lot more drama later you
might as well.
Speaker 9 (18:21):
Talk about it like we trying to figure out like
how we're gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
But I don't know, is she gonna stay with this
guy you think or you think they're gonna break up?
Speaker 9 (18:29):
They together?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
M okay, do you still a mess with her?
Speaker 9 (18:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (18:35):
So you get to do you get to see the baby?
Your son?
Speaker 9 (18:38):
Yeah? All the time.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Wow, this is foul.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
All right, Well, let us know what happens, because I
feel like there's gonna definitely.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
Be some type of follow up.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
This is foul, it's messy. So I'm not gonna lie,
but you know, no judgment.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Hey, anonymous colin, how are you?
Speaker 9 (18:55):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (18:55):
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
It's me and may know we want to hear your secret.
Speaker 15 (19:00):
So me and my ex girlfriend broke up a few
months ago and I ended things, but I blocked her
on social media because I didn't want to deal with her.
But now I created a sense set account or a
fake page or whatever you want to call it, and
I checked her account almost every day. I looked at
(19:20):
her stories everything. I mean, she don't know it's.
Speaker 9 (19:22):
Me, But.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
You're not over her?
Speaker 15 (19:29):
I don't know, I don't know. I think I am,
but it's just I think I just have a satisfaction
of knowing she's not posting anyone on her page, and
it makes me feel good.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
So what if you found out that she was dating
somebody else?
Speaker 15 (19:40):
I think that's what I'm looking for. Like I'm trying
to see if she's moved on. I don't want that
to happen, but I want to keep looking.
Speaker 14 (19:48):
I don't know, would.
Speaker 8 (19:50):
You have a problem if you found out she was
dating me? Just throwing that out there, just throw out there.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
I just want to know.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
Now, why did you break it off for her?
Speaker 9 (20:06):
Soon?
Speaker 15 (20:07):
Just wasn't going right. We had a weird moment where
things were just toxic. We were arguing a lot. It
wasn't feeling right for me anymore.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
What's her name? What's her page?
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Come on, bro, so listen. So if she reached out
to you, would you give it another chance?
Speaker 15 (20:24):
She actually texted me and she said, she said, I
can't believe you blocked me. You need to get a life.
And then she texted me she texted me that, and
then I think she blocked me on the text because
I try to respond and she never never went through.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Now I want to just say this.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
She knows that you're looking at her stories because there
is a fake account.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Like does she have a lot of followers?
Speaker 9 (20:45):
No?
Speaker 15 (20:45):
She have like, uh, what five hundred followers.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Yeah, she knows it's you.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
She knows that all of a sudden, this fake, made
up account is looking at her stories.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
She knows it's you.
Speaker 15 (20:54):
I mean, I will hope now she knows.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Who else is it going to be?
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Listen, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (21:00):
The only reason why you still looking at her page
is because you're not over Let's be honest.
Speaker 9 (21:05):
I think I am.
Speaker 15 (21:06):
I think I just want the satisfaction of knowing that
she's not entertaining.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Why does it matter if you over her? Get off
her page? If you ain't worried about it.
Speaker 16 (21:14):
You ain't.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Ain't you know what it is? You're on her page
every day, It ain't even like every now.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
And the stalker really light weight?
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Well it's no judgment.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
No, it's not judging.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
Times I look at my excess page.
Speaker 15 (21:26):
No judging.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Nah, But you really a stalk.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
At all who I don't even care about, And I might.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Just take that's a lightweight stalk.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
No it's not.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
It's social media. And she really didn't want him to
see page.
Speaker 15 (21:39):
Yeah, her page would have been private if she didn't
want people to come to be invited into her life.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
But the only thing I will say is she does
know it's you.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Everybody who's out there with fake pages and looking at
someone who only has you know, a few followers, they
know it's you. She's probably looking at her stories like
here he go, checking it again.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, she know that Fenster.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Yeah she knows you. But that's okay.
Speaker 15 (21:59):
Why is that okay?
Speaker 3 (22:00):
I mean it's not okay. I'm telling you. Don't believe
what she's saying. It's not okay.
Speaker 8 (22:04):
Don't be don't spend your time being a Stalker's other
things you could be doing with your time.
Speaker 15 (22:09):
That's real, that's real.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Stop stalking. It takes two minutes to start.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
A lot of time.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yeah, but you're doing it every day.
Speaker 8 (22:20):
Everything that you do every day, every anything that you
do every.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Day is a habit.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Listen, honey, if you're listening, if this woman is listening,
post a picture of you and a dude, he's gonna
be so tight. He's gonna hit you up and have
something to say about it. But yeah, I mean, it's
not a big deal. That's what I think.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
What city is she for?
Speaker 15 (22:40):
Come on, bro, I'm not saying.
Speaker 8 (22:41):
Man, see, you're really not over it now. You don't
even want to let me shoot my shot.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
You definitely ain't over.
Speaker 15 (22:49):
But I just I don't want to put her visit
about that.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
That ain't no business. I'm just saying, all right, I'm
just he's thank you.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
He's had too much cake, Sarah, I'm sorry, okay, thank
you for calling and sharing.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Thank you went in my head?
Speaker 2 (23:06):
All right, Well that was tell us a secret eight
h fifty in cass you couldn't get through. You can
always leave a message, no judgment. You're here, no judgment,
all right, And when we come back, let's talk about couples.
Till as swift, we'll talk about Meghan Good.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Calm down, it's way up at Angela ye ye te
next yo.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
She's about to blow the lead ab off this, but
let's get it. Angela's feeling that yet, come and get the.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Tea all right. Way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And Maino is here.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, I'm back. I'm here to stay.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
All right, Let's uh deliver this news in a sensitive
way as possible. Congessional Black Caucus Jonathan Major's was there
with Meghan Good, his girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Why you're looking at me when you say that, because.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
You were very intimate.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
I was second. I had to make calls and everything.
Tessa Cap that is so.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Cap right now, an't call anybody to be like, who
do we call about? Shout out to my guy DJ
Killer Touch.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
But anyway.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
At the Congression of Black Caucus gala, Meghan Good was
hosting the event with Lorenz Tate, and while she was there,
she brought her man up to the stage and here's
what happened.
Speaker 17 (24:20):
We're just so happy to be here with y'all tonight,
celebrating us, celebrate the moves we're making, Celebrating the way
we love and support each other, the way that we
shift the world. Let's enjoy ourselves. So many beautiful black faces.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
I love y'all.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
That's all I got.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
I'm just I'm just happy to be here.
Speaker 13 (24:39):
If you want to say, anybody, y'all heard the missions,
So that's what he is.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
I thought. We love black love, we love black love.
We're here for black love.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
So what was all that wrong?
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I'm just saying, I know you so, Casul, we have videos.
Look chill out man, all rights.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
All right, and shout out to Gez.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
It looks like, according to rumors, Jennie May really wants
to get her marriage back on track and Jesz is
still wearing his wedding ring even though he filed for divorce.
So some people are keeping hope alive. Mana, can you
stop eating that cake.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
For two seconds?
Speaker 3 (25:17):
What cake? What cake?
Speaker 4 (25:20):
All right? So hopefully they can work things out. There
was a rumor.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
She's trying to be in the streets no more, she was.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Cheating with Mario Lopez. That was completely unbounded. Yeah, I
mean it was a weird rumor. Yeah, all right, Travis
Kelsey and Taylor's Swift. Rumors are that there are a couple.
You know, he went to her concert. He was trying
to get backstage. But he did actually invite her out
to one of his games, to the Chiefs game, and
he was talking to Pat McAfee, and here's what he
(25:47):
had to say.
Speaker 18 (25:48):
It's life. I threw it out there. I threw the
ball in her court. And you know, I told her,
you know, maybe i've seen you rock the stage and arrowhead.
You might have to come see me rock a stage
and arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit.
So we'll see, we'll see what happened is the near future.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Do you think the Tailor Swift concert a little more lit?
Than the Chiefs game, I think, I mean till Yeah,
you can't really compare it.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
But she did go.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
And there's pictures of Taylor Swift chatting it up with
Travis Kelsey's mom, and you see the two of them
in there together and according to reports, you know, they've
been quietly hanging out. So who knows where that can go.
See when shooting your shot goes right, Mana.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Hey listen, I wish the best for you. Man, you
got to stop playing what you have.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
To your shot goes right? Okay, all right, Well that
is your u T. And when we come back, we
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying under the radar,
but we think that they are just as important for
you to know about you.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Okay, Mana, you didn't.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
I just had a head rush just now. Yeah, because
you've had your second piece of kid. Yeah, this is crazy.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
All right?
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Well, that that again is your et. When we come
back under the radar, it's way up. When you take.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
The news news position, the news that relates to you,
these stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yes, it's way up. With Angela, yee, I'm Angela yee
mano is here. No may not right, And let's do
these under the radar stories. Let's start with Alabama A
and M. Two federal agencies are calling on the governor
and Alabama to address a severe financial gap between Alabama
A and M HBCU and predominantly white land grant universities.
(27:29):
In the past thirty years alone, the state has underfunded
Alabama A and M University by more than half a
billion dollars five hundred and twenty seven million dollars. According
to federal officials, states are supposed to provide equal funding
to public land grant institutions and those institutions those schools
all burn Alabama A and M and Tuskegee, but often
(27:49):
they have short changed the HBCUs according to experts.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
So now they owe them that money.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Of course they did, so let's make sure keep your
foot on it next, get your money all right. Now,
let's talk about this housing market. It's been a tough
time for people who want to buy a home right now,
there's not a lot of inventory and then rates are
super high right now. Wells far Ago Homelanding is offering
ten thousand dollars home buyer access grants that will be
(28:17):
applied toward the down payment for eligible home buyers who
live in or are purchasing homes in eight different metropolitan areas.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
What are those areas?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Minneapolis Saint Paul Metro Area, Philadelphia, Dallas, Fort Worth, Washington,
d C, Baltimore, Atlanta, Charlotte, North Carolina, and New York
and Newark, Jersey City, New Jersey.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
So in the New York metro area, in Newark and
Jersey City.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
All right, so they are going to give you ten
thousand dollars towards your down payment. I just thought that
was something interesting that people should know about because you
want to try and get whatever you possibly can right
now if you're about to.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Buy a home.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
All right.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Sparkling water, it's a very popular thing. I actually love
sparkling water that multiple times a day. The question is
is it healthy for you? Okay, let's do a deep
dive now. Seltzer or sparkling water is carbonated water or bubbly.
That's when carbon dioxide bubbles are added to still water.
But is it bad for you? They said, it's just
(29:16):
as hydrating as regular water. It does have some advantages,
but also some disadvantages. Okay, now, sparkling water can be
more interesting, appealing, it's more enjoyable than plain water. I
think we can all agree to that. But celtza water
does have these disadvantages, they said. Many people have reported
that it can help with indigestion, but interestingly, other individuals
have found that celtzer water actually causes gastro intenstainal discomfort
(29:40):
like bloating or gas. It can also make your acid
reflux worse, and it's not great for anybody who's trying
to reduce sodium in their diets. They're saying there can
be up to one hundred or two hundred milligrams of sodium,
which doesn't seem like much, but it can really add up.
So if you're watching your blood pressure, that's just something
to beware of. Salts of water is also acidic, so
high consumption may affect the enamel on your teeth. It
(30:03):
can also cause tooth decay, so if you drink a
lot of that, you may also not be getting as
much a DEKA preventing fluoride as you drift drink tapwater.
But I think it's better than you know, traditional soft drinks.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
If that's a a plus for it. They're just letting
us notice all now, I think.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
It's been a conversation because a lot of people do
instead of when they're thinking about calories and sugar, they're like,
I'm just gonna have some salts of.
Speaker 8 (30:35):
Weater, right because I don't drink no soda, no juice,
no nothing. All I drink is water. I drink still water,
and I drink salsa water.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
See the problem with the celt is the carbonation, and
when it enters your stomach, the carbon dioxide gas gets
to release and expands and then you end up farting
or burping. So something has to happen with that carbon dioxide.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
What have some with your cake?
Speaker 3 (30:59):
You don't have another? Now I'm done with the cake.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Okay, slices today?
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Cake is over all?
Speaker 18 (31:05):
Right?
Speaker 3 (31:05):
What is done?
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Happy birthday again to my girl keys, and don't forget
the for my City challenge is going on right, this challenge?
Speaker 8 (31:12):
Yeah, man, So we put out this hit record, this
monster record for my city, representing New York. But it's
a it's a song for every city. I took off
the first verse. I gave rappers everywhere the opportunity to
jump on the song with me. The best verse in
every city. I'm gonna upload on all platforms. I'm posting
and reposting everybody's as much as I can, as fast
(31:34):
as I can. They come in in a lot and
you know, just salute everybody. But everybody got city pride.
Everybody feels good about where they're from. Everybody want to
wrap it and now's your chance to do that. You know,
jump on, do what you do and rep your city.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
And we're gonna hear some of these challenges when we
come back, but we do have the Way Up Mixed
coming at the top of the hour plus main Us
for My City Challenge. We'll be listening to some of
these and seeing what you guys think, So make sure
you hit him up and submit. You can go on
his page to find out how you can do that.
And right, it's well with Angela yee.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
This says in the rooms from Industry Shade to all
of goss ap out send Angela's spiling that et.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yes, it's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee
and Mano is here, No Maya, I'm back you back
from that cake? Okay, no cakes, and let's get into
this EyeT. First off, Carrie Washington, her new memoir actually
comes out tomorrow, Thicket and Water, And she did a
special sit down with Robin Roberts on twenty twenty where
she discussed a lot of things that we may not
have known about her before.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
She's very private, right, so.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
We don't get to I mean, I think even when
she had a kid, people didn't know until the kid
was here. She doesn't really she didn't really share a
lot of things. Now here's what she had to say
about finding out that her father was not biologically her dad.
Speaker 19 (32:52):
They told me that my dad is not my biological father,
that I was born from a sperm donor.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
And I was shocked, right, So what'd you say? Imagine that?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Yeah, I imagine finding that out that she was born
from a sperm donor.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
And she said she was shocked.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
But you know what they told her because she was
about to do that Finding Your Roots show that series,
and her parents didn't want to do the DNA test
at the time. And then after they said they wouldn't
do the show, they said they should consider telling her
the truth. And she did say that learning that secret
was the greatest gift that Henry Lewis Gates Junior gave
(33:33):
to her.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Family.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
She said, when my dad told me, I realized that
every time I said I love you to my dad,
there's been this little part of his brain, conscious or unconscious,
that has had to have said she loves me because
she thinks I am her father.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Wow, but I mean, but he really was. He was,
he was.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
And she also talked about them just being honest and
truthful and how strong you have to be to be
able to reveal something like that. Another thing that she
talked about was an eating disorder that she had and
have that to her being suicidal.
Speaker 19 (34:02):
By the time I got to college, my relationship with
food and my body had become a toxic cycle of
self abuse that utilized the tools of starvation, binge eating,
body obsession, and compulsive exercise. The first thing that put
me on my knees and prayed to some power greater
than myself to say, like, I can't do this, I
(34:24):
need some help was with my eating disorder.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Yes, gotta be tough, we gotta eat and disorder of here. Okay,
we need to stop, all right, We'll stop tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Yes today, well yeah today, it's too late today, all right.
In addition to that, she talked about having an abortion
in her twenties and giving a fake name so that
people wouldn't know it was her.
Speaker 19 (34:46):
We stay in our circles of shame because we don't
talk about it. And so I challenged myself to try
to write about my experience having an abortion, to sort
of let go of the shame about having an abortion
and say, like, this happens, A lot of women do this,
This is a form of healthcare, this is okay.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
So she was talking with the nurses and undergoing the procedure,
and she did say that she felt shame at that time,
but she also felt it was important for her to
talk about this and her reproductive choices because some of
those choices are being stripped away from us.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
And she had been in movies in her twenties, right,
m h.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
I think she was in She Hate Me.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
I don't remember that one back then. And what else
was she in, say the Last Dance when she was
going through this.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
Yeah, they would know who she was, right.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
She was a actress.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, you know she already was working all right. Well,
now let's talk about Tory Lanez. According to reports, he
is scared for his life in prison.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
A source toll page six.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
He feels like he's an instant and direct target because
of his celebrity status. He is being held in administrative
segregation because of his high profile status, and he's just
ordered to the shadowers where he bathed by himself, and
if he chooses to spend time in the yard, he'll
be the only one in the fenced.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Off area in PC.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Yeah, I guess he kind of has to be, you know, custody.
People are saying his size is a set back. He's
only five three and he's in there with some really
hardcore criminals and murderers. So he's really hoping his lawyers
will be able to continue to fight for his freedom
while he's also still maintaining his innocence.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Size don't really mean nothing, Really, what is it respect?
I mean, if it's in you, it's in you. Bottom line, Okay.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
And then let's move on and talk about Krishan and
Blue Face. I mean, it's awful to watch all of
these things playing out publicly on social media. Krishan recently
just posted herself she was actually crying because Blue Face
posted some pictures of their child's genitalia on social media.
(36:56):
He did say that his phone was hacked and that
now he has it back, but she says that she's
now suing him and calling his probation officer for posting
their son's hernia.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
I guess there were some issues with that.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
And it occurs when part of your child and testing
pushes through an opening in the abdominal wall, through the canal,
and that extends from your baby's abdomen to their genitals.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
That just sounds so painful. Did you see the picture?
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
I did not look at that. No, I did not
see it.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
But I see a lot of people have been commenting
and wanting to reach out to Krishan. I saw that
Kiki Palmer actually wrote to her as well. And you know,
Krishan responded and said, you have my number, you can
just call me. But she's just saying, look, this young
girl needs some help. I saw Masika saying things, here
(37:46):
is Krishan.
Speaker 20 (37:48):
He did not get surgery, so I don't know what
he's talking about talking about old the baby had to
get surgery.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
He do need surgery, but he didn't have surgery.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
He needs surgery for his hernia.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
All right.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Said this is so sad to me, especially as a
new mom. I didn't want to say nothing. Or involve
myself on anything, but my heart is breaking for all involved.
This is exactly what maternal health care is about. It
doesn't matter how you feel about Kashan before. Now she's
a mother and for that baby, she needs help and
proper care. And I'm sure she's going through a lot.
You just had a baby, so postpartum is real. All right,
Well that is your UTM. When we come back, we
(38:21):
have a Monday main innovation, you know, Jay two, because
we're doing the form My City challenge.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Right, all of that is way up with Angela.
Speaker 6 (38:29):
Ye you rid me, way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yes, it's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and Mano is here and it is a Monday, so
you know what that means.
Speaker 8 (38:43):
It's a Monday, no hesitation in any situ and you
already know what it is.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Man I want it? You do know? Okay? Right, screw
that cake?
Speaker 8 (38:55):
Okay, Well, I just want to say, take time to
celebrate yourself. Take time out your grind, take time out
your journey, to relish in your glory, to understand and
take gratitude on how great you are. Because guess what,
success doesn't mean that you have to be on a stage.
Successful doesn't determine you know, you being an artist or actor.
(39:19):
You know, you're just as successful. You're out there taking
care of your family, You're out there paying getting your
bills paid, you out there doing the right thing.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
You are just as successful.
Speaker 8 (39:27):
Take time to celebrate that, Take time to celebrate yourself,
Take time to relish.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
In that because you are actually doing the right thing.
Speaker 8 (39:36):
You know, on fall the homies that then came home
and it made things work, whatever that was. You are
just successful. You don't have to be on TV to
be a success story. You already want. So take your
time relish in that. Understand and be grateful for all
the blessings that you have.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
You heard me, we should celebrate that with some cake.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
No ca celebrated.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Ever taking that cake, eating that cake again? Are you sure?
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Are you going on the record with that?
Speaker 3 (40:07):
You know, because here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
Because you just.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Talked about celebrating yourself success is right right.
Speaker 8 (40:12):
Understanding that that success is not just being on TV
beyond the radio.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
I mean, it's it's so many different levels.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Of success, and you can celebrate your success, whatever level
it is.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
With the cake.
Speaker 8 (40:25):
You see, as a friend, you would think because I'm
balaning obesity, you would think that you try to help me.
I want to have a Bruce Lee body, and you're
not allowing that to happen.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
First of all, you're never going to have a Bruce
Lee body.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
So let's just leave that up.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Like I'm talking about slimming cut like.
Speaker 4 (40:42):
Like you know how weird you would love like that.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
I need to drop.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Please send me a picture of Mano's face on Bruce
Lee's because I went to see how strange this could potentially.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
I don't think this is not good. I don't think
twenty pounds. I'm good.
Speaker 8 (41:00):
Okay, I lose like fifteen or twenty pounds, but you're
not helping me.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
I'm trying and you're not.
Speaker 5 (41:05):
Yeah, I am.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
I celebrate every time you lose a pound, we get
a cake. We celebrate ourselves too much.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Honestly, sometimes Today's angela mainnovation is stop celebrating yourself so much.
We have a lot of work to do to stop.
But I do tell people all the time. One of
the things that I do always try to do is
sometimes we can get really caught up in things that
didn't work, and it is really important to celebrate all
of those small wins and all of those things that
(41:32):
are happening in our lives that are positive, no matter
what it is. And to celebrate our friends too, to
make sure with our peoples, like if they have some
great news or something great happen for them, don't get
so caught up in ourselves that we're not celebrating the
people around us. And that's important too, even with a
text message or a catch up dinner.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
You like you're good at that, though, you good at
celebrating other people's wins and being supportive for your friends.
I feel like you've I feel like I need to
be more better at that.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Yeah, I love doing that.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
I'm so happy. I feel like when my friends went,
I won.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Right, because it's another reason to get cake.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Right, another reason to get cake, Like you did what,
Let's get you a k girl, Let's go have a drop.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
And you know what we're about to celebrate right now?
Speaker 3 (42:18):
Oh man?
Speaker 4 (42:19):
For that's right, that's what we do this for.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Imagine the success story. And I was saying this earlier.
There's so many people in my life that I can't
believe that I've had the uh that I've had the
privilege to meet in person and sit down with I
was saying, I'm going to be meeting JJ fadd and
interviewing them soon. That's a huge deal, supersonic that used
to be, you know, growing up and seeing them Salt
(42:42):
and Peppa me being able to actually.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
Do a one on one interview with them.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Was really exciting and so TLC.
Speaker 4 (42:51):
You know, having that opportunity to talk to them. There's
so many people that are iconic.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
I remember meeting Smoky Robinson and being able to take
my mom to go see his concert and then take
a picture with him backstage. That's spaces you never would
have dot you being Aretha Franklin. I took my mom
to go see Aretha Franklin.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
Those is blessings. Yeah, that is a blessing.
Speaker 8 (43:09):
Able to put yourself in a position to be able
to meet those iconic people.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
Tony Tony Tony, they have a show this weekend and
I'm planning to go to that because I'm a huge
Tony Tony Tony fan. I remember growing up listening to
Tony Tony Tony and now I can't believe that I've
actually met Raphaelsa dig before shows.
Speaker 3 (43:26):

a lot of artists in the in their respective cities
that's been trying to have the opportunity to get heard.

Hey, Anthony, I have a question. I was trying to
think advice. I'm married, but I'm interested in my husband's homeboy.
I don't know what it is about him, but it
makes me feel as though like I want to have
sex with him. I'm trying to think one so like,
tell my hu's a homeboy how I feel or say
(57:50):
too much solf?
Speaker 8 (57:52):
Wow, wow, if you want to sleep with your husband's homeboy.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Now, I will say a couple of things here what
you will say? What she didn't tell us what her
relationship is with her husband, Like if there's still still yeah, no,
I get that, but I'm saying I'm wondering if there's
issues in their relationship that is causing her to now
look around. But sometimes things that are taboo can feel
attractive and it's just the idea of it.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
And you can't control if you're attracted to somebody.
Speaker 2 (58:20):
But what you can do is control your action actions
right and set boundary so that there's no way that
something like this could happen and you have to realize it.
Sometimes it is just the idea of ooh, I'm not
supposed to do this, or.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
You know, just having that type of feeling.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
You can't control it, but you can limit the interaction
that you have with him.
Speaker 8 (58:38):
That's a bad thought, it is, bottom line, and you
should always think about the problems that you can cause
your husband and his homeboy over you. Right, So that
comes with a set of ramifications.
Speaker 3 (58:54):
Don't do it. Throw that whole thought away, right, Yeah, stupid,
it's dumb.
Speaker 8 (58:59):
If you want to jump on somebody else, find somebody
else to jump on, or have somebody else jump on you.
Speaker 2 (59:03):
Well, I think the main thing is what's going on
in your marriage, and that's what you need to figure out.
That's the foundation of this whole issue, Like what's happening
in your marriage that you're even having these thoughts, okay
about somebody, especially his friend. Are you angry at your
husband for some reason? Is did he do something that
you're thinking about getting revenge? And then you're having these
feelings for that reason?
Speaker 3 (59:21):
Easy fix, easy fix, bring another woman in.
Speaker 4 (59:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:25):
So it's just not anything that I feel like could
ever and well, it's awkward. If you have children with
your husband, you know, would you want to break up
his relationship with his best friend for for something that
you probably don't even want.
Speaker 3 (59:38):
Just bring another woman in. That's it, easy fix, right,
all right? So simple?
Speaker 2 (59:43):
Yeah, just I definitely don't think that you need to
know her husband and his friend.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
No, another woman and a husband.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
But certain people are off limits. And that's definitely a
person who is all limits. She might find it attractive
for that reason.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
But I'm just saying you thought, like you said, it's
the idea.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Yeah, that's dangerous, all right. And so the question was
should I tell my husband's best friend?
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
No, you should not.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Okay, you need to control yourself. You need to set
boundaries for yourself and limit that interaction that you have
with him.
Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Good thoughts to yourself and don't act on it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
And then figure out what's going on in your relationship
that you're even having these types of feelings, all right,
And that is your ask, ye And when we come back,

nine fifty fifty is a number. Call us up, let

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):

let me see it, do a video, send it in.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
I'm a repost.
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
It's litty, yes, lit, all right, and I want to
thank you for rocking with us today. There were a
lot of things that were going on a lot of updates.
We were talking about this earlier Krishan and Kiki Palmer.
Kiki Palmer wanted to reach out to Kashan and just
say she wanted to send her some love.
Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
Well, it looks like they did speak.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
So while we are following that story, we also are
hoping that everything there's a child involved, and clearly Krashan
just had a baby. I'm sure there's a lot going
on with her that even she doesn't understand, because that's
not an easy thing, you know, how many people have
postpartum and don't even realize a lot to deal with.
I'm not saying that she has that, but you know
(01:02:33):
it's her first baby.
Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
The baby has some complications, so it's a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Well, thank you guys again for joining us. And as usual,
you get to have the last word. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is the number. And shout
out to everybody who I saw at the iHeart Festival
over the weekend, everyone I saw at the Congressional Black Caucus.
You know, it's really great to be able to go
to events like these. I never want to shoot myself
in this position.
Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
May know you were at, don't They.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Don't have those events without you. You on every guest list. No,
absolutely are you working. But we'll see what we have
coming up.

Speaker 16 (01:03:23):
I am a female head of a harem of men,
and they know about each other.
Speaker 24 (01:03:31):
They even go in and write about me.
Speaker 16 (01:03:34):
Kinda cute sometimes, but for the most part they don't
want me to tell I made it very clear.
Speaker 24 (01:03:40):
They can't have it to themselves.
Speaker 14 (01:03:42):
Because that's me.
Speaker 6 (01:03:44):
Hi.
Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
I just want to shine a light on my co
workers at HOWS in Columbus, Ohio. They are the bombs.
We work with adults with disabilities.
Speaker 25 (01:03:55):
We have a day program, we get them out of
the house, we take them to the community, we do
art with them, and I've just never seen a group
of people with more heart. There's a lot of people
in this line of work that you know it's just
a job to them, but these people are not those people.
Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
They are out here doing true greatness. So shout out
to the employees at Piles at Formath Ohio.
Speaker 24 (01:04:18):
Hi, Angela and Mano. I like to know where do
I get that cake from?
Speaker 6 (01:04:24):
Like who's the business and.
Speaker 15 (01:04:25):
What kind of cake is it?
Speaker 24 (01:04:27):
It just sounds like it's so good.
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
And Angela, please be more supportive of Maino.
Speaker 15 (01:04:32):
He needs just support.
Speaker 24 (01:04:33):
We need him to be looking sexy out here in
these streets, and especially when he hits the stage for
his upcoming.
Speaker 15 (01:04:39):
Concert because we know it's coming. And Yee, can we please.
Speaker 24 (01:04:43):
