Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Now, it's a Angelo what I call yee?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
All right, it is a way up with Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee. And it is a Friday. I'm reading
this article.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
This couple one twenty two million dollars in the lottery
and they didn't tell their kids. Dan is hereing my
producers here with me again. Mayo was supposed to be
here today, but he said he's got rehearsals, show rehearsals.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
What show is this?
Speaker 5 (00:35):
He said, for his show? That's all.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
I said, all right, we're gonna find out about that.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
I don't know what Mayno's got going on, but yeah,
can you imagine if you want twenty two million dollars
in the lottery. I think it is a good idea
to keep it a secret.
Speaker 5 (00:49):
But from your kids, that's cold.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
That's cold.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
You know what they said, They don't want their kids
to become a waiters, as in waiting for us to die.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
Well, that's fair.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Your parents lived to be like ninety eight years.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
So he'd be like, come on, not doing anything with
your life? All right?
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Well, anyway, today it's a Friday, and DC young Fly
is going to be joining us today. Man, he's had
so many things happen in his life. Three people really
close to him die, all within a certain time span,
and he's still out here working and he's got celebrity squares.
That's going to be it. I think it's Tuesdays. Yeah,
(01:25):
it comes out on Tuesdays, So listen. This is how
he's handling it. I think he did actually postpone some
of his stand up shows. But he's out here, he's working.
I'm sure this gives him just kind of keeping busy
sometimes really helps you not have to sit around and
think about all of the unfortunate things. So he's going
(01:45):
to be joining us today. Also, let's shine a light.
That means somebody did something positive and you want to
show them some love. I'll talk about somebody who I
want to shine a light. And when we come back.
I see her all the time when I have to
go to the bank, and she's amazing. She always makes
sure I'm good, So I want to make sure I
shine a light on her when we come back. It's
way up at Angela Yee eight ninedred two ninet two
fifty one fifty Shine a.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
Machine, Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to
those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Shine the light on them, Shine the light on them.
It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
What it's way up at, Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
I'm Angela Yee and it is a Friday, and so
you know what, let's spread some love, Let's shine a light.
I want to shine a light today on somebody who
always helps me out every time I go to the bank,
Zeita Bridge Paul all right. She actually works at Citizens Bank,
and anytime I go in there, she always is like, Okay, oh, Angela.
(02:43):
She's very warm, very welcoming, make sure I'm good. She
knows I like candy too, because they have candy in
the bank, so she's like, she's like, you want me
to go in the back and get you some candy.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
So you can take it to go with you. I'm like,
that's okay.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
But honestly, like there's sometimes a lot of things that
I have to do that's really complicated because of the
different things that I have going on. I have another
payment that's due on an investment that I made, so
I was moving some money around yesterday.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
To try to stretch it out and get it done.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
And she definitely will make sure that I'm very comfortable
she sits there. The first time I went there, I
had to go through like a lot to get everything
established and set up.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
And now she makes it so easy.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
And so I know a lot of times we have
to go do things, there's a long waiting period, we're impatient,
we have things going on in our life. So it's
really great when somebody can help make that whole process
a whole lot easier. Okay, who do you want to
shine a light on? Somebody doing something positive for you?
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is
a number. Call us up and let us know who
you want to shine a light on. Well, then, who
(03:39):
do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 7 (03:41):
I want to shine a light on my sister, Angie
Dallas Montgomery, a comedian. She is suffering from cancer right now,
but she still has time to make people a laugh
and cook food.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Oh that's beautiful. All right, Well let's shine a light
and is everything okay?
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Yeah, she's going through our team right now, so you
know she's down and up, but I love her and
death and she's an amazing woman.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
All right, Well, thank you so much for calling a
shining light on her?
Speaker 8 (04:09):
All right?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Thank you aie, no.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Problem, good morning, shining light on him.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Who's this go on? And my name with Irene a right,
good morning. You got great energy this morning.
Speaker 8 (04:20):
That think I'm not listening to you every morning, I
angelie this. You know I stay coming into your station.
My passagers have no switch but to listen to your station.
When I'm listening to it.
Speaker 9 (04:30):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Now, Thank you so much to you. And a shining
light on.
Speaker 8 (04:36):
On my mother, my siblings, the family that God blessed
me with. I'm going through something right now with my
life and they are my back bone supporter. So shout
out to my mom Jean, my brother Abijah, my brother Layo,
my brother dd Alfared, and my sister Zapio. I have
three little ones. Anytime I need anything, without any hesitation,
(04:58):
they are always want to help me. So I'm gonna
shide a lot on them because they're doing an amazing
job to help me with everything that I'm going through.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I love to hear that. All right, Well, let's shine
a light on them. You deserve it.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
Thank you and keeps doing you sing.
Speaker 8 (05:12):
I'm loving it.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Thank you all right?
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Well that was shine a light and when we come back,
we have a yee te man. Gunplay got arrested again
for violating this frustrating order for the eighth time.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
But let's talk about a good marriage too.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Russell Wilson and Sierra find out what he did for
her for her thirty eighth birthday. All of that is
in Yet when we come back, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
Yee, they say in the rooms from industry shade to
all of gossip out, Angela's feeling that.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeez, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 9 (05:46):
Yee.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
It is a Friday.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I'm here, My producer Dan is here, yes, ma'am, and
we're having some great conversations in the room. Also, now
it's not me or Dan, but someone else in here
does not believe in maybe married and love because he
keeps on seeing all these failed situations around him.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
So let's get into some uti.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
This one is all about relationships, some of them good,
some of them not. Gunplay was arrested after violating his
exes restraining order for the eighth time. All right, Apparently
he was on his way to his exes home and
the Florida Department of Corrections received a pin that's from
his ankle monitor. This is the eighth time he's done that,
and he is not allowed to come within five hundred
(06:27):
feet of his estranged wife. And this came to about
two months after he allegedly pointed in Ak forty seven
at Vanche and their newborn daughter. He was charged with
false imprisonment, aggravated battery with the deadly weapon, and abuse
of a child with no great bodily harm. Man, listen,
you cannot violate no restraining order at all, period. These
(06:49):
are awful things and you need to stay away from
her all right. Russell Wilson has rented out waffle House
and that was for Sierra's thirty eighth birthday. Now, I
saw a lot of people commenting also about the list
that was circulating about places that women do not want
you to take them on a first date. And so
a lot of people were like, oh, okay, now, maybe
(07:10):
y'all will feel a little bit differently about somebody taking
you to cheesecake factory on a first date. But here
is Sierra talking about how special this celebration was for her.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
My let me.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
Knows how much I love waffle House. He ran alcohol
waffle House and I am.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
A family's girl in the world.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Okay, this is like for sure.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I mean those epic things that really ever dot that's cute.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I like that, like a waffle house, something unexpected, sweet,
They got all, They got a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
So what was the best date someone took you on?
Speaker 3 (07:44):
The best date ever?
Speaker 10 (07:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
I've had something above them beyond I don't.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Know if it well the best first date.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
We went to go eat at a restaurant that was
on the beach in South Jersey.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
It was actually really nice and I'd never had been
to that place before. And it was a long drive
there and back, so there's a lot of conversation in
the car.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Long drives was on that list.
Speaker 11 (08:03):
Yeah, for what women don't want to go on for
a first date anywhere that required a long drive.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Oh No, it was great because it was thought out
and it was a good conversation the whole way there,
and you know, it was fun on the way back.
We had put on his playlist and we were like
singing along to all the corny songs. We had a
fun time. It was a good first date. Didn't go anywhere,
but it was a good first date. Chris Jenner was
on the latest episode of The Kardashians talking about her
life biggest regret. This is still about relationships to the
(08:31):
person who's looking at me in the room that is
uncertain about ever getting married. And here is what she
had to say was her biggest regret.
Speaker 12 (08:38):
I don't know, because he was such a great husband
and such a great dad, and I think that I
fell into a situation where I thought that the grass
was greener somewhere else, and I made a huge mistake.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
That's like my life's biggest regret.
Speaker 12 (08:54):
You know. I'm not proud of the way that I
behaved during that time, but everything happened for a reason,
and without that whole thing happening, there never would have
been kindling highly all right.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Well, I can understand it. She said.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
She was just really young and dumb at the time,
and so she said, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
She said, he was a great husband and such a
great dad.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
A lot of times people when they do cheat, to
the person in the room that was talking about that,
it is not really because the other person doesn't do
something right. And I know a lot of times when
someone cheats on you, you feel like what was I missing?
Speaker 3 (09:29):
What didn't I do? But a lot of times it's
not really that.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
It's just somebody being selfish, all right now, Black China
in the meantime, Oh no, this is not looking good
for anybody who's like, should I ever get married? Black
China talks about getting kicked out of her ex fiance
Tiger's house after he started having an affair with at
the time in underage Kylie Jenner. According to Black China,
she was on the Vile Files podcast, and here's what
(09:55):
she had to say.
Speaker 13 (09:56):
Me and Kim we were really good friends, you know,
like I was on her show all this stuff like that.
We lived in the same community. And then her little
sister started talking to Tiger, which was kind of crazy
because she was like underage, and everybody had kind of
came at me and started attacking me. And it's like
nobody seeing like the betrayal that was like going on
behind my back of me talking to somebody Kim, and
(10:18):
then her little sister, which she has no control over,
you know what I mean, started talking to my fiance
and then I get attacked, and it's like, how does
that work?
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah, that is traumatizing in a situation.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
You know, we I'm friends with you, but your little
sisters starts talking to my fiance. I get kicked out
the house, your friends load up all my stuff and
the truck that's not mine, it's really his. It's somehow, yeah,
and everybody's against you. And then after that, remember she
started dating Rab Kardashian, and so it's a whole convoluted
full circle, all right, And that's why people were like,
(10:52):
the ultimate revenge that is your yet And when we
come back, we have about last night. That's where we
discussed things that we had on last night. I'll talk
to you guys about what I did. I don't know
if you'll find this exciting or not, but it has
a lot to do with budgeting, and that means like
your time, your energy, and your money. It's way up
with Angela ye yeah, last night.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
So about last.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Night, last night, last nights I went down.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
my producer Dan is here with me today hanging out
in the room. And this is about last night. This
is where I discussed what I did last night. Now, Dan,
did you do anything of note yesterday? But besides work?
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Besides work now? And then I fell asleep on the
couch by accident.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
It's okay, you're a little jet lagged.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
You were on a trip to Amsterdam, still recovering, still recovering,
and also you just had a vacation, so it's okay
to come home and recover from Sometimes you need a
vacation from your vacation.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, that's a real thing.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
I took an extra day, all right.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Well, yesterday I was invited out to a couple of
different things, and you know what I said to myself,
I said, let me balance myself right and not go
to an actual party. But I've decided I need to
spend more time talking and being around people who I'm
friends with. Now y'all saw I did Sherry Shepherd yesterday
and I was doing my friend Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wise,
(12:11):
we actually went to high school together. We'll talk about
that more in a second. But we also went to
dinner last night, and so I've met her fiance. If
you guys watched the show, you know her fiance, Christian,
is actually eighteen years younger than she is. But we
went to Brooklyn chop House yesterday and just had like
a nice chill night, not having to do too much,
(12:32):
not having to get dressed up. I had on my
sweats had a good time, but I will say walking
around there were a lot of Halloween parties. And the
weather is another thing. It is definitely the warmest October
on record, that's a fact, and I really felt that
yesterday and in New York today it's going to be
like seventy something degrees. This feels very unusual for this
(12:53):
time of year. And I know this all has to
do with global warming. So I'm definitely at some point
soon going to have the the Environmental Protection Agency administrator
join us to talk about it. Michael Reagan is his name,
and he's coming up here next week to talk about
what we can do to better take care of the
environment and how everything that's been happening has been affecting
(13:16):
the weather and how that can cause all kinds of
different things like Canadian wildfires that cause pollution here, things
that have never happened before in our history. The other
thing that I did was, oh, we had that, Okay.
The other thing I did was I stayed home and
I was like balancing all my expenses and trying to
plan out through the end of the year how much
(13:36):
money I need to make and how much money I
have to spend and there's always like some pluses or
minuses that can happen along the way. But I just
want to make sure that financially, like I have a
little bit of a cushion for any types of emergencies.
But when I tell you it is hopefully I at
least break even by the end of the year. But
there's a lot of different expenses that I have. And
(13:57):
I was talking to also one of my friends who
is saving to get a house at some point, just
about different things that you can do in order to
put yourself in the best position possible. And so we
were discussing just small things that you can do. And
I know a lot of people listening might be thinking
about that too, since some people will tell you now
is not the best time to buy because of interest rates.
(14:18):
But if you're not going to do that now, why
not prepare yourself so that when you are ready, you're
in the best position possible.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
But like I was saying, I spent some time with
my friend Jennifer from Basketball Wives yesterday and we did
Cherry Shepherd. We do have a show coming out November
sixth on bah to One My true Scam story.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
And one thing that we.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Discussed on Cherry Shepherd that ended up going viral was
the fact that Jennifer and I also went to school
at the same time, same.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Year as Miss Lauren Hill. Here's what we said.
Speaker 8 (14:46):
I just found out that both of you went to
school with Lauren Hill.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah, y'all went to high school with Lauren Hill.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
So, Jennifer, did you know that Lauren Hill would be
a star.
Speaker 14 (14:55):
We were in high school. She did the Apollo and
then she did the movie with Whoop right sister a. Yes,
so I knew she had it in her. She always
could sing, but I didn't know she was gonna be there.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
She was cheerleader, yes, Yes, she was very outgoing. She
was amazing. She always was challenged. She was on As the.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
World Turns Right.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
She was in the Empty Light video Georgie Porge. You
remember she did a play, Yeah, m see light back then,
and we were in high school, y'all. She was booked
and busy. We always knew she was going to be
a star, you know. But shout out to everybody who
tuned in on Sherry and to Sherry, she's amazing. I
felt so inspired just being there yesterday and seeing her
having all her friends working with her, how she cared
(15:35):
so much about even the dressing rooms behind the scenes.
It was a great environment. So thank y'all for having us.
All Right, well, when we come back, you know what
time it is? All right, we've been so positive all morning. Well,
now it's time for you to tell us a secret.
And it doesn't have to be anything you know, but yes,
let's make it crazy today. We want to hear y'all
crazy secrets today. Let's take it to another level. Tell
(15:57):
us a secret. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one
fift Do you call us up right now? And there's
no judgment here. You are anonymous. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty Call us up, tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Let's turn it up, yo, this is.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
A judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 9 (16:14):
All right?
Speaker 4 (16:14):
It is way up with Angela Yee on a Friday,
and it is time to tell us a secret.
Speaker 15 (16:19):
Now.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
I want to ask you, has telling a secret ever
made you feel a little bit like a burden was
lifted off your shoulders. My producer Dan is here, ma'am Dan,
have you ever felt like, Oh, I'm so glad I
was able to tell that secret and now I feel better.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
I can move on with my life. This late is clean.
Speaker 11 (16:34):
Yeah, I think I would think so, especially depends what
you're telling. Like, isn't that what you know?
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Confessionals are for, Yeah, a confessional.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
If you commit a crime and you go to the confessional,
are they obligated to say something?
Speaker 5 (16:46):
A good question. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
They're not right, They're not allowed to say anything. What
if they get subpoena, Like what if the priest gets subpoena?
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Well, anyway, regardless, here you don't have to worry about this.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Just kind of think of this as a way for
us to hear your confession or hear your secret. We
might ask you some questions about it, just for clarity purposes,
and then your slate is clean. You can walk away
from here and feel like, I've never told this to
anybody before, and just so glad I got that off
my test.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
The difference, I will say, though, if you did.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Commit a crime, I cannot guarantee that this will not
be followed up as an investigation. But this is just
for things that are like little fun secrets. Maybe you
did something nasty when you were younger, you feel a
little bit bad about it, You've never told anybody about it,
or maybe it's a good secret. We've had a couple
of positive secrets. We had somebody who was planning to propose,
and he was just so excited to be able to
tell somebody because he couldn't tell anyone because.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
You wanted to be a surprise. I know, you know
what that feeling is like, Dan.
Speaker 5 (17:42):
Although I was loose slipped, I told everyone.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Yeah, everybody knew that. There's no way she didn't know.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
No, she didn't. I was good.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
She was like, let me just pretend. Maybe I'm not aware.
But anyway, you guys call us up. It is a
safe space for you to tell your secret. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number. Hey, anonymous,
call how are you?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
I'm doing, girl? How you doing?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I'm good? That's good. You want to tell us a secret?
Speaker 15 (18:06):
I sure do.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
So. I had a friend that I used to be
extremely close with, you know, one of those childhood friends,
and then we grew up and he started doing some
real grindy stuff, started trying to sleep behind my back,
stuff like that. So me and my girl linked up
with his girl, had a good time, you know what
I mean. On the on the hub and then uh yeah,
(18:31):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
What did what did he do to you? When you
said he started sneaking around? Like what was he doing?
Speaker 1 (18:36):
So he was pretty much lining in my girl DMS
behind my back, pretty much telling her how I was
this guy that I wasn't and that was just my
little way of getting back at him. And she actually
came up with the.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Idea, you know what, why did he think your girl
wasn't going to tell you?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And that's what I was trying to figure out because
at that time me and her had already been locked
in for a couple of years.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
You want to think that is so stupid? Why would
your girl not tell you?
Speaker 5 (19:05):
Like?
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Did he think he was that lit?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
I guess he just thought he was that dude that.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
How was everything with his girl?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Well, it's not his girl, no more, long story short.
You know she's a saying at this point, all right.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Well, I'm not mad at you. I think all's fair
in love and war. I know that's right, I know
that's right. All right, Well, thank you for calling.
Speaker 9 (19:26):
Thank you have a great both you too.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Hey, what's up, anonymous caller? How are you?
Speaker 8 (19:31):
How's it doing? Angela?
Speaker 3 (19:32):
I'm good? Thank you? You want to tell us a secret.
Speaker 9 (19:35):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 8 (19:36):
And I cannot believe I'm telling you this live on
the air because I have never said this outside of
my best friend.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Okay, hold on, let me let me, let me get
some tea. All right, go ahead.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
So when I was a teenager like her, and I
was just hanging out on a Friday night, and it
was like an area where we would always like go,
and so I was like, I wan't to know my
boyfriend that cares about me. So she's just like, all right,
come on. I parked my car like at the movie
theater parking lot, I got in her trunk and see you.
Rode all the way over my boyfriend's house and was like, hey,
(20:10):
such and such, have you seen your girl?
Speaker 10 (20:13):
And he was like no, why.
Speaker 8 (20:14):
He's like, I'm looking for her and I can't find her.
Long story short, He went around my area looking found
my car in the movie parking lot and thought I
was inside with another dude. So he and his friends
sat outside the movie theater with back to everything ready
to go.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Oh my god.
Speaker 8 (20:32):
Oh it was crazy. So later when I got out
the trunk, you know, and I was like, no, I
was just playing around. Yeah, he did not believe me.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
He did not see you get out the trunk, right, No, I.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Did that in a little call to Sack.
Speaker 8 (20:47):
I know people thought I was crazy, but not Yes,
I didn't know he was going that crazy. And long
story short, we broke up not long after that because
he never believed that I was.
Speaker 10 (20:58):
Actually in the trunk.
Speaker 8 (21:00):
He ended up stalking me outside my house and when
I have friends over, he even flashed the guy's tired.
So all I'm saying he is, don't start to test
somebody's gamester because they might just show up.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
This is crazy.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
So you actually ended up telling him, no, I was
just testing you. I was in my friend's trunk.
Speaker 8 (21:18):
I heard him because he was kind of crazy, right,
and I just didn't realize how crazy.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
He was, ma'am. Still, yeah, both, Ye're both kind of crazy.
Speaker 8 (21:28):
Trunk Yeah, d of crazy. I mean a little bit.
I'm down my back he's you know, but whole flash MATI,
And I was like, dog.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I'm really done.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Yeah crazy, Be careful what you asked for?
Speaker 8 (21:43):
It right?
Speaker 3 (21:43):
You wouldn't him to care what you asked for, yes, ma'am.
All right, Well thank you for saying that out loud.
Speaker 10 (21:49):
Thank you I'm a good one too.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
All right, Well, that was tell us a secret and
in case you missed it, you can always call us
up eight hundred and two nineteen fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
We do love getting your waistmails.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
And when we come back, we have yet and part
one of that jay Z Gil King interview has come
out finally. We've seen a lot of clips and we
have some of the highlights for you, maybe some things
you haven't seen yet.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
It's way up with Angela yee ye.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
T next, don't she about to blow the lid about this?
Speaker 9 (22:15):
But let's get it?
Speaker 6 (22:16):
Oh yeah, angelus building that yeeze, Come and get the tea.
Speaker 9 (22:20):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Its way up with Angela yee, Angela yee and my
producer Dan is.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
In here chilling with me today.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
I am all right, well, let's get into some yeete
right away. So we're getting ready for this jay Z
sit down with CBS Morning's Gail King. And there's been
clips that I've been circulating ahead of this full interview
coming out, and so now part one has finally been
released and we have some of those highlights for you
in case you haven't seen it. He talks about the
last song that he played for Biggie.
Speaker 16 (22:46):
So for the first song I made or his album,
Streets is watching Us, the last song I played for Biggie,
he kept saying, play it again, play it again, and
now I gave him that it was on the cassette.
Speaker 5 (22:56):
I'll never forget like he.
Speaker 16 (22:57):
Looked at He's like, no album gonna sound like this.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
It was playful.
Speaker 16 (23:01):
It's also almost like he's coming.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
He's coming.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
That's exciting to hear, all right.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
Jay Z also talked about what will it take for
him to get back in the studio.
Speaker 16 (23:14):
I want to make music, but it has to be
something important. I don't want to just make a bunch
of tunes that's not going to serve me, not going
to it won't It won't feed me.
Speaker 9 (23:22):
First of all, what does feed you? What feeds you?
Speaker 16 (23:25):
They have to be saying something important. It has to
mean something, you know, it has to mean something to
the larger a larger society. Like four for four for example.
It was a personal story, but the amount of vulnerability
in there allowed for a lot of people to explore
the space.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
And listen, let's not forget.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
He did kind of do a collaboration album with Jay Electronica.
I written testimony, and so I mean, I guess you
know part of it is is that, right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
I mean I'm looking forward to if he's got something
in this that's ready to come out.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Because I think what it was was at that time
just hearing Jay Electronica's lyrics, because when they did that album,
Jay Electronica did not know Jay Z was going to
get on that many songs.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
It just happened like that, you know, So such scoop,
all right.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
Now.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Jay Z said also that he would not sell his masters.
Here's what he had to say.
Speaker 9 (24:20):
Do you ever sell your masters?
Speaker 8 (24:21):
No?
Speaker 5 (24:22):
Never, No, No.
Speaker 16 (24:23):
I get why people do it. I've been fortunate enough
to make money in this place. But for me was
the fight of my life, you know, for me in
an independent company from the beginning, and then going through
the death Jam system not really understanding how that works,
and them having my masters, then going back to death
Jam as the president and then saying, okay, I'll do
(24:44):
this job. And part of this job is my master's
has to be reverted back to me, you know, my
kids to see my work, you know, and if they
decide to sell it, then it's up to them.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, and I do understand why people sell their masters.
I know a lot of people who have done it
because you get a huge check that you could do
something with, you know, depending on what your situation is.
But we see that sometimes it could be hundreds of
millions of dollars and then you can use that money
to do other things to make more money.
Speaker 9 (25:11):
All right.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Now, Taylor Swift speaking of people making lots of money,
she has reached billionaire status now and that is all
because of the success of her Error's tour according to
a report, Yes, that tour loan at a four point
three billion dollars to the country's gross domestic product.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Is that crazy, Taylless.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
Whether or not you like Taylor Swift when it comes
to these moves, all right. She's a twelve time Grammy winner,
and she has the movie Her Eras Tour Film that
came out a couple of weeks ago. The film made
over eighty million dollars in advanced sales and grossed over
one hundred and thirty million dollars worldwide so far, by
the way. And I think she's also doing an album
(25:50):
to go along with that, right, so, I mean, you know,
and her dating Travis Kelcey. Right now, they're saying that
has even added to her success. I think they even
named a play after her or something like that. Yeah,
all right, well that is your yeaet. You hate it?
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Why do you hate it?
Speaker 5 (26:08):
A football fan?
Speaker 11 (26:09):
And everyone's making it seem like Taylor Swift is bringing
all this tens I mean, she is bringing all I mean,
but not to like football fans, like football fans are
like all.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Right, but that's the point. You know, the football fans
are going to be there regardless. Now this is a
different level and that you could never have anticipated that
you couldn't pay for. It's good for her, too, really
good for her. All right, well that is your yeat.
And when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
And you know Elon Musk is involved somehow, as he
always is. It's way up with the angela.
Speaker 9 (26:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
News this in the news that relates to you. These
stories are flying under the radar all right.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Now.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
United Airlines passengers are predicting that they are going to
be brawls. People are threatening to boycott. They have a
new boarding system which I think makes no sense. Now, Dan,
you saw this boarding system, right, yes, talk to me.
It's actually starts today. So if you are actually started,
did it start yesterday? People flying Economy Ununited, they start
(27:08):
boarding with this new system. People in window seats and
to the aircraft first, no matter what row it's in,
and then if you're in the middle seat, then you
get to go, and then people in.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
The aisle get to go last. That's not fair.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
One of the main things about trying to get on
a flight early is being able to put your bag up,
and you don't want to be sitting in the aisle
if you're going to be boarding last. And then it
also costs more to sit in the aisle, So why
would I be waiting for the middle seat always costs
the least, So why would I be waiting for people
who paid less than me to get.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
On and be able to put their bags up?
Speaker 4 (27:40):
And now when I try to get on, there's no
space for overhead all right, So a lot of people
are expecting now that this is going to cause issues
with limited luggage space in the overhead. People are saying
they're boycotting the airline over the system. These airlines are
trying to figure it out because people are mad at
Delta for their whole system with the sky, the skyline,
the sky miles, and how that's gonna be changed in
(28:03):
the next year. And so now this is something else,
and there are now six groups of people. Group one
is first class, and then business class is group two,
then economy with a window, then middle, then Aisle, and
then the last group is basic economy.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
On domestic flights makes no sense.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
I had a nightmare of a flight coming back from Amsterdam.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
What happened?
Speaker 11 (28:23):
So my fiance's screen didn't work and this is an
eight hour flight. It was a long flight, so her
screen didn't work at all, and uh so when we
were complaining about it, they were.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Like, hold on, we'll keep trying. We'll keep trying.
Speaker 11 (28:35):
They tried like three or four times to reset it.
They finally came back and they're like, here, we'll give
you a fifty dollars refund. We're like, fifty dollars. This
is an eight hour flight. So they fell bad. You
want to know what they did for us. They gave
us like this little glass house, like this porcelain house,
and they were like, here, we give this to business class.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
So I looked at the lady. I was like, oh, thanks,
my fans, I can I'll stare at this for eight
hours appreciate it. Maybe we can wear it out. It
was yeah, okay, disrespectus met.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
With You know one time I was on a flight
and I put like a little mail order in an
advance and they brought me the wrong thing and then
they give.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Me like a fifteen dollars credit. Wow.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
All right.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Elon Musk is saying that ex employees have one year
to replace your bank. He's saying you won't need a
bank account, and he wants X to be the center
of your financial world. That's Twitter, by the way, handling
anything in your life that deals with money. So he
expects that those features well launched by the end of
twenty twenty four, and he said people will be surprised
with just how powerful it is. He says, your entire
(29:32):
financial life, if it involves money, it'll be on our
platform money securities. So it's not just like sent twenty
dollars to my friend. I'm talking about you won't need
a bank account. He has big plans and I don't
think X has been making money yet, But do you
believe in Elon Musk, No, thank you, because he's done
a lot of things. Sure, no matter how you feel,
he definitely has made a lot of things happen. And
(29:55):
the original plan for ex PayPal product roadmap that he
actually did. He was talking about this on an external call.
He was talking about that. So for him, I guess
the bigger play is for this to trust this platform
with your finances.
Speaker 5 (30:10):
And people need to trust him first.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
All right, well that is you're under the radar.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
Now.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
We do have the Way Up Mixed coming at the
top of.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
The hour, plus the hilarious DC Young Fly is going

Speaker 3 (30:32):

It's way up at Angela Yee, Angela Yee. And my
producer Dan is here in the room chiming in. And
you know, we do have DC young Fly joining us today.

on steroids, but bigger, batter and wilder.
Speaker 3 (31:33):

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Looking forward to it?
Speaker 2 (31:35):

Speaker 4 (31:51):
But he did sign a contact with the celebrity boxing
founder Damon Feldman.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Here's what he said, who's coming to the play?
Speaker 17 (31:57):
Which one you poke? When I when it gain with me?
Is it a Kevin Hot Is it a Williams? Is
it a punk hazel Light scheme she named DJ Davis?
Is it ahead looking punk DC? Young Dirty Fly?
Speaker 2 (32:13):

Speaker 3 (32:15):

Speaker 5 (32:17):

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Young Dirty Fly getting get in a fight? All right,
Well we'll get to see who is gonna fight. You
think that Michael Blackson would win? No, he seems like
he'd fold, Yes, like a like a chair.
Speaker 9 (32:28):
Yes, all right.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Now other things that are coming in and I was
so excited for this one Billion Dollar Babies, The True
Story of the Cabbage Patch Kids. This is coming out
November twenty fourth, so it all And I love the
timing of this because for Black Friday, the Cabbage Patch
Kids used to go crazy, and this is coming out
for Black Friday, and so apparently the true story of
(32:50):
Cabbage Patch Kids. It's the fortieth anniversary of when they
first came out. It's all about the issues that people
have where people were going crazy and getting into fight
trying to.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Get these dolls. You gotta fight, dude.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
No, I remember the madness behind it, though it was crazy.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I'll never forget when my mom got me my cabbage
patch kid.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
I only had one.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Her name was Old Dedocracy, and she was so excited,
like we really didn't have extra money like that for
for that. But I remember my grandfather was coming into town.
He lived in Montserrat at the time, and my mom
was so excited that he was coming back to New
York to come and stay with us that she ran out.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Sears was two blocks away from us.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
She ran down the block with me to Sears to
pick out my cabbage patch kid that day because she
was so happy.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Do you still have.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
It that her dad? I think it is at my parents' house.
I gotta go.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
I think there's a lot of stuff I have at
my parents' house. I gotta go see. But anyway, here's
the trailer for that documentary.
Speaker 14 (33:51):
Three people were injured on a busy Black Friday.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
It wasn't always like this, but something happened in nineteen
eighty three and we were never going back.
Speaker 9 (34:05):
The intensity of this search for these dolls.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Holding wrong woman, taking a dollar of a childhood.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
They traveled there.

you are the host of Celebrity Squares UD and I

Speaker 3 (34:50):
First two episodes.
Speaker 9 (34:51):
Do you like it?
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Of course?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
First of all, I was excited that I was mentioned
on one of the episodes, really the first one, so
make sure y'all to went in. And I also like
to play along because I feel like because of my job,
I end up knowing a lot of the answers to
the questions. But what I love is I watch Jeopardy
and I don't know anything, but on this I'm like, Okay,
I know the answer.
Speaker 9 (35:11):
To but do you know all of them?
Speaker 3 (35:13):
From the first episode? I think I did know pretty
much all of them.
Speaker 9 (35:16):
I don't know them.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Okay, good.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
I wanted to ask you that because I'm going to
ask you a couple of questions.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Yes, because I was like DC young Side being here.
Come on, all right, are you ready?
Speaker 4 (35:26):
What hip hop artist is unhappy with his wax Museum figure?
He said, sorry, wax Museum, but that sha't me. You tried, though,
and I appreciate the effort.
Speaker 9 (35:34):
I just see this. I want to say, Wayne, it
is cause that figure dealer. I don't know who was Uzburg?
Speaker 3 (35:45):
All right, here's another one.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
What former NBA player recently admitted to meeting with a
man from Instagram to hook up, but not forcing a threesome.
Speaker 9 (35:56):
Oh look the White House?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Yeah A good at this? Okay, because I know you
be looking at Instagram.
Speaker 19 (36:06):
I'll be looking at Instagram Instagram news like I'm good
with this. That's a gag news.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Okay, look at that. Y'all heard that.
Speaker 9 (36:13):
You know what I'm saying. You want to produce? The
team is here? You want to produce?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
I come up with the questions. I'm a producer with you.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Right now, I'm talking to DC young Fly and speaking.
We'll come back to this speaking of producing. You're also
in departments.
Speaker 19 (36:25):
Yes, yes, shout out the t I man, you dig
the whole gang man.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
And I shout at it out when it came out.
And I do want to say this, right t I
was like, this is not on TV. But I feel
like everywhere I look it says it's on TV.
Speaker 9 (36:37):
They think it's on tube.
Speaker 19 (36:39):
It's just so independent Tuba picking up all the independent fields.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
You gonna be so mad at be rotten tube, right.
Speaker 9 (36:46):
I watched Tube every day. I love Tube, movie Tube.
Whoever you control of the Tube, you keep doing your
Tube things.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
All right, let's get back to these questions if you
know the answers to them, all right. What is the
name of the song by Justin Timberlake that blamed Britney
Spears for the demise of their relationship.
Speaker 9 (37:04):
Oh that's Mario, don't true. He did to beat fuck
Way and the world for real walk away.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
It's called crimea river, crime a real.
Speaker 9 (37:19):
That's what he did out of white people beating. I
ain't know he was talking to her.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
I feel like everybody like Justin Timberlake though, Sexy back.
I remember bringing Sexy being at a wedding and Tony
yeo was DJing this is random, and he kept playing that.
So he played that song like twenty times in a row. Really, yeah,
that's how much he loved that song when he came out.
Speaker 9 (37:39):
I've been I've been on Justin when he was in
sing On Gone.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
But you definitely bring the energy as a host for
a game show, which I love. It's really fun. That's
not an easy job to have to tell you to
have your energy up, but also make sure everybody else
is like, come.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
On, let's go and read.
Speaker 19 (37:56):
Read a lot like what you realize you like, hold on, wait,
I am the game, Like you have to read.
Speaker 9 (38:03):
If I don't read, there's no game.
Speaker 19 (38:05):
But it's like, you know what, that what makes the
show because not all of that. You got your peers,
you got your cads. Like I said that, I'm like, damn.
Speaker 9 (38:12):
We got Brown right here playing baby Face. Don't get
out of the house for nobody.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
I don't care who you is.
Speaker 9 (38:22):
Baby Face ain't coming out the house for nobody.
Speaker 19 (38:25):
But when we got these type of people that's coming, Like,
we had a lot of contests that were like to.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
Right now, I'm talking to DC young Fly, all right,
let's if you know anymore of these questions.
Speaker 9 (38:34):
All right, lord, well you're doing good.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
What NFL legend?
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Missiley put his son on blast for his raps even
though he grew up in a gated community. Oh someone's
rapping tough. But he's like, now, you grew up in
the gated community.
Speaker 9 (38:47):
God, they gonna get me. He played for Miami, he
played what the name start with? M That ain't good enough, No, dude,
you gotta give.
Speaker 20 (39:00):
Me options Dallas Cowboys. Okay, NFL legends.
Speaker 10 (39:04):
I know.
Speaker 20 (39:06):
In my head, I feel like he was on Dancing
with the Stars too, and playing for University of Miami.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
Michael Irving.
Speaker 9 (39:12):
Michael Irving, duh, you ain't given no name. Get it out.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
But what do you think about that? Like, you know,
because great this son, I'm black.
Speaker 19 (39:24):
I mean, I don't know, you know, I like to
stay out of the people being but if it's that
is the case.
Speaker 9 (39:29):
And like you said, he did stay in the gated community.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
He lied, y'all know, entertainment.
Speaker 19 (39:34):

six years old.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Could you see yourself doing.
Speaker 9 (40:00):
Something like that.
Speaker 19 (40:02):
I don't know my talent the old I get. I

encourage that, like, let's get into comedy, let's start doing something.
Speaker 19 (40:28):
I try to make them do them, let them do them,
let them figure out who they is first, and then I.
Speaker 9 (40:33):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 19 (40:34):
I don't like to have like one of them, like
one of them families that like everybody do the same thing.
Speaker 9 (40:39):
I want to like kind of tea to them and
have their own like identity.
Speaker 5 (40:42):
So they can.
Speaker 9 (40:42):
I can learn from them as well.
Speaker 19 (40:43):
I don't want them to try to follow me and
then it shadows whatever they really want to do.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
All right, Well, DC Young Fly is here, and I

Speaker 20 (42:14):

was gonna say, I feel like could do stand up
because he is.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
Just in there.
Speaker 4 (42:21):
When I first started the show, I was thinking about
this the other day. He was guest hosting a lot
in the beginning, and it was a mess. I'm not
gonna lie, but it was fun, but it was a mess.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
Like he he first of all gets very distracted with me.
Speaker 20 (42:33):
You know, you don't mean he like me, Bro, He
don't mean no harm. Bro, we was drunk, he got
a house burst. Who else is on this season? Uh,

Speaker 19 (43:04):
Oh that was ky, Like that's graty. But no, man,
we got you got a man of seals on man.
We got so far we like, we gotta pretty shoved,
pretty big lo.
Speaker 9 (43:19):
I mean, god, damn. If y'all watch him.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Everybody, I would be you could see it. Do people
ever be mad at what I do? What they're do?
Speaker 4 (43:27):
People be mad at what their square is worth? Because
I want to be like, you.

question that y'all had was about hygiene.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
And Nick Cannon.
Speaker 9 (43:53):
Nasty.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
I didn't say it, that was Nick Cannon. Nick Cannon
is nasty.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
Right now, I'm talking to DC young fly all right,
but listen, like you said. Tuesday's seventh Central Celebrity Squares DC.
Young Flight is the host and again Departments that's out there.
Speaker 9 (44:10):

Speaker 9 (44:25):

Speaker 10 (44:27):

Speaker 9 (44:28):
Oh, I'm in the movie with Edie Murphy, can kan Lane?
What is it?
Speaker 3 (44:32):

Speaker 9 (44:35):
Man, I like the residual. I like to come on
near you. I'm trying to get a New Year movie,
trying to get up.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
So you're in the movie where Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy
is it in theaters?
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Is dropping on Amazon? Thank god I had that. What
was it like being with Eddie Murphy? Like on set
he moved very swiftly.
Speaker 19 (44:53):
You see him and then you look up, he gone,
and he got a stud double out just like him.
Speaker 9 (44:58):
And if he ain't talking, you you putting their stunt double.
Speaker 19 (45:02):
You gotta pay for every cheek you see it right,
gee left cheat put that stuck double leg because I
ain't said it, but when I actually had a conversation
with him, it was something that that stuck with me.
Speaker 9 (45:13):
He said, it's only one thing that I regret. I
wish I would have kept an hour in my back pocket.
And that's a stand up. He said, that's the only thing.
Speaker 19 (45:22):
And I could tell like, I'm like, damn, oh you
we didn't want to keep back on the stage.
Speaker 9 (45:26):
And then he just walked off and I was like,
oh that it disappears.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
I feel like he's gonna do it though.
Speaker 9 (45:35):
I feel like he's gonna do it too. Yeah, I hope.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
I feel like it's coming.
Speaker 19 (45:37):
If you spots on minimal because he the goat because
when he vanished that was the last day I seen him.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
But still listen conversation with Eddie Murphy. That is not
something a lot of people could say that they had.
You did all right, well, DC Young like, thank you
so much against celebrity squares Tuesday, eight seventh Central, and
thank you so much for coming through. Make sure y'all
say it's very entertaining. It's your time and you get
some information. Come on now and when we come back.
We have asked you. You guys get the chance to
(46:07):
ask any question you want. I'm here to help eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty call us
up right now.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
It's way up with Angela Yee. Ask ye next.
Speaker 6 (46:14):
Everybody since with its relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts,
you should know.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
This is ask ye what's up? It's way up with
Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and it is a Friday.
And you know what we do every single day of
the week that we like to hear your questions and
try to help you in any way that we possibly can.
Up here on a way up with Angela Yee. And
today we have a Renee on the line.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (46:35):
Renee?
Speaker 15 (46:36):
Hi?
Speaker 11 (46:37):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (46:37):
What's it? What is your question today? For ask you?
Speaker 10 (46:41):
I wanted to know what I should do with a
situation where a cousin that doesn't like me blew my
kid out?
Speaker 3 (46:48):
How does your kids nineteen? Okay? Now, why doesn't your
cousin like you?
Speaker 10 (46:53):
I don't know. She just do petty stuff on un
blocked her and not unblocked her. For the sake of
my mother, my cousin wants to remainationship with my son
all of a sudden, so they secretly booked this trip.
I overheard the conversation or speakerphone about them keeping it
away from me.
Speaker 4 (47:09):
And what did your sonte when you asked him about it?
Speaker 10 (47:13):
It was just kind of like if I told you
I was going to her, you would have said no.
And I'm like, you didn't need to ask me. You
just need to fill me in and not keep it
a secret.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (47:23):
Your son is nineteen, so he did make a decision
of what he wanted to do as an adult, and
maybe in a way he thought that this could be
perhaps him trying to help mend the relationship. I don't
know what his reason was.
Speaker 10 (47:36):
When the young adult lives with you and you provided
for them, and you wake up one morning and you
looking for them and you don't know what happened.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
Ooh, so he went out and didn't even tell you
that he was going out of town.
Speaker 10 (47:49):
He neither wanted them. When she found out that I
told him I didn't want him to go, that's when
she called me, screaming on me, like I don't want
him to have a relationship and life. You sneaky, like
this is the first I'm hearing that you booked him
a whole life.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
You guys need to figure out how you can coexist
because you are blood and there's gonna be people in
the family that you know are Sometimes it might feel
like they're taking sides. I don't think your son was
taking a side against you, but you need to talk
to him about what made him decide to make that decision,
and you also need to let him know why it
hurt your feelings. Instead of being angry, this is more
(48:26):
of a conversation. This is your son, and you never
want to let an outside situation affect the relationship that
you have at home with your child. So y'all both
need to get your feelings out on the table because
what you might think his intention was, he might have
a whole different intention than what you think.
Speaker 10 (48:43):
I had that conversation with both of them, and I
barely got a word in when she called me streaming
on me over a trip she secretly booked.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
And I understand that.
Speaker 4 (48:52):
And you're the parent, and she needs to know that
she can't be trying to go behind your back and
minimize what your authority is with your son at as
an adult. Again, he did make a decision, and that's
the main thing.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
What was the.
Speaker 4 (49:03):
Reasoning and the rationale behind his decision. And I really
do hope that you and your cousin can come to
some type of understanding because it feels like you're gonna
end up seeing her at family gatherings, right, I mean
it is holiday season.
Speaker 10 (49:15):
Well, I have no interest in seeing either one of them.
Speaker 4 (49:18):
So I just don't want you to alienate yourself from
everybody because of how much you are not getting along
with your cousin.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
And I want to make it.
Speaker 4 (49:28):
Feels like you have something in your head and you're
not open to hearing other things, and sometimes you kind
of just have to like, all right, look, I accept
what it is you're saying. I may not agree with you,
but let's figure out how we can move forward. I
don't want you to just say everybody's against me. It's over,
like y'all are alienating me.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
I'm on this side. You guys are on that side.
Speaker 4 (49:48):
I think sometimes for the sake of the family and
your relationship with your son, which is the most important
thing here, you maybe need to hear what other people
have to say, and maybe it's worth everybody having like
a converse to get their feelings on the table without
accusing anyone of everything, just expressing how you feel and
then come in the same time, I told her.
Speaker 10 (50:07):
She needs to get She invited my mother also she
got her money back, and so when she was arguing
with me, she was trying.
Speaker 8 (50:15):
To debate whether she should get my sons to get
me fun at the same time, and I said, you
need to get your money back, So she.
Speaker 10 (50:22):
She knows how I felt, and they just chose to
do otherwise. So I mean, they made you know, they
made the decision.
Speaker 8 (50:28):
They need to sit with it, you know.
Speaker 3 (50:30):
I just don't want this to disturb your bond.
Speaker 4 (50:32):
And maybe this is something you and your son work
on your relationship first with each other so that you
can have an understanding and be stronger with that bond
that you guys had before you worry about the rest
of the family. Okay, all right, Renewe, I want to
just give you a hug right now.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
It feels like you're going through it.
Speaker 20 (50:49):
Oh, I'm good, okay, all right, Well, good luck to
you and thank you for calling.
Speaker 8 (50:54):
Okay, thank you, all right.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
Well that was ask Ye eight hundred two nine two
fifty one, fifty and number. If you have any questions,
you can always call us up and when we come back,
we have a last word as usual. You guys get
to have the last word. It's way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 6 (51:08):
Take up the phone, Tapian to get your voice heard
with the word.
Speaker 2 (51:14):
He is the last word on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (51:16):

is time for the end of the show again. I

got a lot going on and he's really a great
sweet person.
Speaker 12 (51:33):
You know.
Speaker 4 (51:33):
I know he's a comedian, but you can tell sometimes
it's not easy to be out here working and he's
gone through a lot of losses, but he's also had
some great wins, you know, when it comes to his career,
and sometimes it's hard to balance those things as you're
trying to be out here, be strong, work hard, support
the family, and inside you have things happening that people
(51:54):
have no idea what you're going through. So shout out
to you, DC Young Fly for still working, coming through
doing what you need to do for yourself, but.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
Take some time, all right.
Speaker 4 (52:02):

I know there's gonna be some monumental things going on.
Speaker 3 (52:12):

Speaker 4 (52:13):
We got Powerhouse here in New York happening in Jersey
by the way, on actually tomorrow, all right, so I
look forward to seeing everybody outside.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
You know, I'm outside. I'll be working, y'all.
Speaker 4 (52:25):
And next week a lot of really fun things going
on on the show too, So you know, shout out

time just being here. It's been a long week. We're

Make sure you hit me up eight hundred and two
ninety fifty one fifty. Even when we're not here, you
can leave a message. That's how much I always want
(52:46):
to hear from you guys. Also, if you have the
app and you click on the little microphone in the
corner when you're on the app, you can leave messages
that way too. It's really simple and easy. I write
the iHeartMedia app and again you always have the last word.
Y'all are the most important part of the show. This
is what makes the show even possible. This is what
makes it happen.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
So call us up.
Speaker 4 (53:06):
Eight hundred and two ninet two fifty one fifty last word.
Speaker 18 (53:10):
My secret is I've been sleeping with someone that is
actually dating my friend and we've been dealing with each
other behind my friends back, and I just didn't know
how to but to go about it, Like I want
to be in a relationship with this person, so I
didn't know how to go about it. Was telling my
friend and all stuff like that. I don't really feel
guilty about it because my friend was telling me like
they wasn't taking a relationship series anyway, like you know,
(53:30):
they were just what the person just to do with.
So I was like, well, if y'all not in a
