impact for deaf actors. They're saying they never expected this

Speaker 2 (04:52):
In this preview for the Kardashians, Tristan Thompson is saying
that he immediately regrets being unfaithful, like literally cheats, and
then I guess feels the next day like why did
I do that?
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Here's what he said, Tristan.
Speaker 11 (05:05):
And I really have not connected and I just can't
take it. Do you feel anything?
Speaker 8 (05:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (05:12):
I feel discussed the next day, So then why do
you do it again?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
You don't feel disgusting what is happening?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
But the next day, though, I feel like everybody felt
like that.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
Though, if once you cheat on your partner and then
I mean, of course it feels good, you know, hair moment,
but then especially you're looking at the person you don't
finished you like, dang, why even do this with you?
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Do you think that that's like a mental issue, like
I need to go seek some help.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Why do I do this?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I feel disgusting the next day, but I'm still gonna
keep doing it and still keep feeling disgusting after.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
You think there's a moment of flesh, man, just a
moment of flesh.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
That's okay. You're not a cheater anymore right now anymore.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
I've been in a happy friendship since April. So man,
shout out to my guy out there.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
You know who you are.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
It sounds like cheat his words to me, all right now.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Man from New Orleans was posing as NFL player Earl
Thomas and managed to steal one point nine million dollars
in an identity theft scheme. His name is Kevin J.
Thompson and he was arrested in June. It was charges
that included identity theft, forgery, money laundering, credit card for
a computer fraud, and bank fraud.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
It's just crazy.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
The craziest part is that this man, Kevin J. Thompson,
was in a relationship with Earl Thomas, his ex wife,
Nina Thomas, who's from New Orleans.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
He used a driver's license with his photo.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
He's been on it.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yes, he created a phony bank account, and he transfred
vehicle titles. He did all of these things and then
he drove to the bank. That's where he got arrested.
He got released from jail. Then he tried to get
the rules worths back from the sheriff's office, but he
arrived in a car that was reported stolen in Atlanta
and got arrested again.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
I mean respect to that man, though, Bro, you know
how bold you gotta be to actually think this out
and plan this out and you go through with it
and it actually works and you get the money.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Respect to that man for planning it out and getting
the job done. You got caught.
Speaker 8 (06:58):
But I mean, well, now.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
He's free on US seven hundred and thirty thousand dollars bond.
I wonder how Earl Thomas, his ex wife, feels like
this is the man I got involved.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Was he using me the whole time? Did he feel dirty?
Speaker 2 (07:10):
The next day all right, Omarion was on with Jason
Lee and he talked about almost getting into a situationship
with Carucci.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Here's what he had to say me.
Speaker 8 (07:20):
Chris Brown and Omarrion, y'all were brothers.
Speaker 13 (07:23):
Yeah, one night they said, bring all these girls, all
these girls, and one of the girls was Crucie, right right,
y'all were kind of feeling each other, and that's true.
I thought y'all were going to be a thing.
Speaker 14 (07:34):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
And then she was media. She was on media take
out with.
Speaker 11 (07:38):
Chris right, all right.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
It feels like Jason Lee kind of led him into
that there with some inside information.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
Shout out to Jason Leef of being messy. You know,
one thing, one thing is Lee gonna do is be messy.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Well, here's what.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Chris Brown went on social media and said, Man, if
you don't get y'all, lame on somewhere.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
And then he said, ed where's be reaching for the stars?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
And then o'marion wanted people to actually listen to the
entire of that part. And here is what Omariam posted.
Speaker 14 (08:04):
I've always looked at CB as like, you know, like
like a brother, you know what I mean, even if
it's from a distance. One thing I do know is
when I see CB, he always showed me respect and
that's all that I asked.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Chris gotta start responding to everybody.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You know, if you say something, he gonna be right there.
He might, but he is also surprising fans. He's putting
out this album eleven eleven on eleven ten, by the way,
so which makes sense.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
I mean, I'm gonna listen hopefully, Breezy, I love you.
Let's not make the same song over and over again,
so I'm gonna be tuned in.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
All right, Well, that is your yee t. And when
we come back, we have about last night. That's where
we discussed what we did last night, and let's have.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Some more love today. Here is Kenjack Lamar and love.
Speaker 15 (08:49):
All right.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
It's way up at Angela.
Speaker 8 (08:50):
Yeh. About last night?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Last night?
Speaker 8 (08:54):
Last night is that I went down?
Speaker 3 (08:56):
All right?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
It is way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And of course my boy Trev is.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Here you I'm in a building, baby.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
What's up now?
Speaker 2 (09:03):
We're doing about last night where we discussed what we
did last night. I know you were out and about Yes.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
First, I want to say happy birthday to the beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Sim Happy birthdays.
Speaker 6 (09:12):
I was got in New York last night celebrating her
birthday getting drunk. Definitely got drunk, which y'all saw you
there ye thing last night though, what was you doing
last night?
Speaker 2 (09:21):
So last night I actually had hosted a bowling event
for Mammond's Children's Hospital, okay. And so it's the only
twenty four hour, three hundred and sixty five days a
year hospital in Brooklyn dedicated for children, okay, which is important.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
And you have some people show up probably support.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Oh when I tell you last night, I appreciate everybody
who came through to bowl and support at Brooklyn Bowl.
So it means a lot to me because I was
born at Mammondes okay, and my brother was born at
Mammonides and so these are like the full circle moments
when you feel great about being in a position where
you can do things to help other people and yeah,
and give back. So it does mean a lot to me.
(09:58):
It's special to my heart, and I know we'll be
doing a lot more with them. And I want to
shout out to all of the artists who came through.
First up with Steph G. She got there nice and early.
She was not playing, okay, and she was like listen,
things like this I just want to make sure that
I always show up to support. Forty one was there,
the whole crew, and when I tell you, they went
on stage and started performing. It was really fun. Shout
(10:23):
out to Fresher for bringing them through. I know they
want to come up here. He just hit me like,
all right, let's get that done and we definitely will
math Hafa okay, and Champ came through right so I'm
gonna be doing his podcast.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Also, a Scarlet was there. Hey, go through, Scarlet, that's
my baby, and I was telling them.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I love the fact that Scarlet was here because even
before we knew her as an artist, a lot of
people knew her from doing poetry and talking about things
that happened in her childhood, and so I know this
is a cause that she's really connected to.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
Also, I always see her on It was a page
called Philly scoop Hal and he's always posted her like
doing her poetry and rapping and stuff, and she's always
been tough.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Kenzo B was there. She's very excited the lip service.
At some point, Billy B was there. Okay, Billy B,
you know, and I know that I know that we
have like a lot of new music coming out Friday,
so that'll be exciting. Maca Diamond showed up. She was
also like Angela y day. She definitely was like I
want to get up there and perform too, and she did.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Rock Star was there and he's actually going to be doing.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
You just had all the celebrities out.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah, Kaylin for Real for Real was in town. He
came through. Of course, Mano was in the building.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Building.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Yes, he wanted the party going.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Shout out to Tadd Gibson too, So everybody that you
know Tad Gibson, he's from Brooklyn. Player DJ and a
lot of DJs were there and I just want.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
To Academic wasn't there.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
We'll talk about that in a second, but we want
to show some love and appreciation to everybody who DJ
last night. I very own Nick Navy was in the building.
Navy all right, my girl DJ TJ.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
I love she and oh where did she on DJ? Once?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I met her one time with her, she always I
always had her DJ stuff for me. She's amazing.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Also, DJ will and then just in the building DJ
authorized DJ Dangles. So I just had a good time
with everybody who came through last day, and I appreciated
everybody coming to show support for Mamodities Children's Hospital. All right,
now when we come back, I want to talk about this.
How did you feel after you cheated? You know, we
were talking about Tristan Thompson and he's going to be
(12:27):
discussing on the episode the next episode of the Kardashian
Show how he used to feel dirty the next day?
Speaker 11 (12:34):
Jeeves feel anything?
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, I feel discussed the next day.
Speaker 11 (12:38):
So then why do you do it again?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
That's a great question, that crack. Why do you do
it again?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
If I feel discussing the next day? I want to
talk to you guys. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty How many of you felt this way after
you cheated?
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Or did you feel numb like?
Speaker 2 (12:51):
I want to know what makes people do that over
and over and over discussed?
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Did you do it again?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Trav All right? Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty
callers up, break the break.
Speaker 8 (13:02):
Them down more.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Now it's way up at Angela Yee, Happy Thursday, and
we are talking about cheating and how you feel the
next day.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Right.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
This all came from Tristan Thompson.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
He was talking to the Kardashians about cheating on Chloe.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 11 (13:24):
Do you feel anything? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:27):
I feel discussed the next day.
Speaker 11 (13:28):
So then why do you do it again?
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Guys are hilarious now, trap Have you ever cheated?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (13:34):
I have cheated, and I definitely felt bad afterwards because
I was in love with the guy that.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
I cheated on.
Speaker 6 (13:41):
But looking back, when I'm glad I cheated on him
because he was a horrible person too, and he.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Was why did you cheat?
Speaker 6 (13:48):
Because I just came across something that looked better. Honestly,
I was young, and it was all about you.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Have you ever cheated? How do you feel like that
you cheated?
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Yeah? So when I cheated, it.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Was because my boyfriend was cheating on me and I
knew it, but he went in a minute, and I
knew I was gonna eventually break up with him. I
just didn't do it yet, and so I basically didn't
even feel like I was in a relationship anymore.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
And I was going through the motions.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah, and I was going through the motions.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
I do feel like sometimes cheating will make you stay
with somebody longer because you just feel like you put
up with a lot more because you're like, it's okay,
I got this over here, so.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Quesse, I feel like I'm at an age now where now
I don't tolerate cheating a dude, Like somebody cheats on you. Now,
are you just immediately leaving or do you feel like
you're still stay Depending on the.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Situation, I don't think I would stay. That's a hard
thing for me to deal with. And I will say,
like with my ex boyfriend, he he cheated a lot,
and yeah, and I actually really found out because from
going through his emails how much he cheated. And that's
dirty dog if you listen to you, dirty doll. But
I was a lot younger, you know what I'm saying.
We did it when I was like maybe like thirty
(14:50):
and so and I was I was only twenty eight
when we first started dating, and so I just I
knew it wasn't gonna last.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
So I cheated. That's it, period, you know.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
And you still don't want to get ca But let's
hear about you guys in your cheating stories.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Eight hundred two, nine fifty. What's up?
Speaker 4 (15:06):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (15:06):
How you?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
I'm good? Traps here too, yo?
Speaker 1 (15:09):
What's up? Agay? How you brother?
Speaker 5 (15:10):
What's up on?
Speaker 6 (15:11):
Man?
Speaker 5 (15:11):
I'm good, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
God, what so have you cheated and how did you
feel after?
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
I have?
Speaker 4 (15:17):
I felt like crap afterwards?
Speaker 3 (15:19):
And did you do it one time? Where did you continue?
Speaker 5 (15:22):
It's been ongoing?
Speaker 6 (15:23):
So let me ask you a question. Why did you
What makes you feel bad? He loved the person that
you were cheating on or something?
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Yes, so why do you keep doing it?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Well?
Speaker 5 (15:31):
I got the perfect analogy. We we love we love
food that's bad for us. But we're gonna say we're
gonna get on the diet. But that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Okay, be careful out there, bro. Okay, we've been wrap
it up.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
He got all kind of.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Justification that what you're gonna is that what you're gonna
say if you get caught.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Oh, if I get caught, then the relation should probably
be old because I'm not about to stay Nobody to
caught me.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Cheek. What's what's your girlfriend? What's your girlfriend name?
Speaker 3 (15:56):
That's some nerve?
Speaker 1 (15:57):
What's your girlfriend name?
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Agame?
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Stop?
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Stop?
Speaker 5 (16:00):
So that's all you got.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
That's all you need to know. Mackie. How are you?
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Bro?
Speaker 3 (16:06):
So have you ever cheated?
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yes?
Speaker 15 (16:08):
I have?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
And how did you feel after?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
I mean, I didn't really feel bad this particular case,
because like she was doing things like her cute to
me and smacking me out of my sleep. She was
already telling me whose I was doing that? And I
was like, was the difference of actually speaking my mind
to being treated like I am?
Speaker 5 (16:23):
So?
Speaker 3 (16:23):
I did?
Speaker 1 (16:24):
So?
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Did she smack you? I just sleep because you were
cheating on her? Or she was she was already just
randomly smacking you.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I just sleep.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
She was already randomly smacking me like she had this.
Went to visit her grandparents. She hit me so warm.
I woke up. She was just barking at me like
a dog. I just cried and went outside. You cried
that there, yeah, so hard, and I didn't hit the back.
I just cried.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
I'm glad you didn't hit her back.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Number one, she should have never put her hands on you.
But yeah, so you're saying you cheated because she kept
accusing you anyway and treat and treating you like you were.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Why didn't you just break up?
Speaker 4 (16:53):
I knew the girls since I was ten years old.
I really did love her, and I was taking care
of her baby. I was only like one years old.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Didn't have no It felt like he was in an
abusive relationship.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
But she was smack you, I should sleep you done?
Next time. I get your female cousins to go handle
that for you.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
No, he loved her already, do you, Tyran? Have you
ever cheated?
Speaker 8 (17:15):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Yeah, I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
And how'd you feel after?
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Actually it was a get back?
Speaker 14 (17:20):
You know.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
You cheated on me.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
You know I felt this though I.
Speaker 15 (17:24):
Got set up, you know with me just being a
nice girl.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
And I thought this though, you know, me getting back
in I did.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
I promise you.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
I was just saying, Tyra, the reason why women cheat normally,
not all the time, but a lot of times it
is get back. And it also is in preparation of
leaving right.
Speaker 15 (17:45):
And I was always told, like, be with the one
that wants to be with you, not who you want
to be with, because the one I want to be
with you was going to give you the world.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
I think you want both. I think you want to
be with the person and they want to be with you.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
That's my Randma always told my female cousins, make sure
that love you a little bit more than you love.
Speaker 8 (18:01):
Him, exactly exact Now.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
I got to BMW.
Speaker 15 (18:05):
So I took that year.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
What year in nineteen ninety eight.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
What year?
Speaker 1 (18:09):
What year you got over there?
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Okay, what kind?
Speaker 15 (18:18):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Oh all right, get your get back, Tyra, all right,
thank you for calling. All right, Well that was just
us talking about cheating and whether or not we felt
disgusted after and while we kept doing it. And when
we come back, we have your ye t let's talk
about Saucy Santana.
Speaker 6 (18:36):
Oh oh, how does distract in the streets. Let's go,
let's talk about it.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Coming up next, baby, all right, yet's next his way up.
Speaker 8 (18:43):
She's about to blow the lid off this spot. Let's
get it.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
Oh, Angela's building that yet, come and get the tea.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
All right, it's way up. But Angela yee, I'm Angela yee.
And Travis here, travin the building by.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
It's time for some yet, and Trav was very passionate
about this story, so.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Let's start with that.
Speaker 11 (18:58):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
All right, Santana dropped a disc track to DJ Academics.
Now this all started with DJ Academics versus the City Girls.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Young Miami had some things to say.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
There was some back and forth, and then Saucy Santana.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Stood on all business talk about ee, it's.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
On all business Santana will read you, and he definitely
did that. And I saw my son put up a
post which Queen Latifa then reposted. It's crazy to me
how DJ academic is crying scared to say anything to
Saucy Santana because he's a gay man and he's scared
of getting canceled. But had said some of the most
outlandis vile, disrespectful and demeaning things to black women with
(19:37):
absolutely no fear whatsoever. Brings me back to Malcolm xus quote,
the most disrespected, unprotected, and neglected person in America is
the black woman. Here is DJ Academics sounding like he
wants to say something, but he's scared get canceled.
Speaker 16 (19:53):
What we got going on, I don't care what rapper
got at me bro ever, but like really, I really
don't in my life and I will never do. But
like I gotta sit here and act like I know
I'm in America. I gotta sit here, just act like
I don't seriously.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
All right, well, Sussy Santana has now dropped a disk track.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
He's not letting up because he so he got under his.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Skin hardest dish track in the streets.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
All right here it is you get him.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Pumped by day.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
She's trying to blame it on some cable.
Speaker 8 (20:25):
I hope he's white labels.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Because the way you so about hate.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
So big, you should be quite. That's why he dances.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Never want to date you, just get you kid.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
So when you see a bandage to break out in
a sweat, So when you see a band need to
break out and brain them popping on the inn and then.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Yeah, big Saucy, you hear, Big Saucy, that's what that
is what you're supposed to do that.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Put it in a song.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
He's a rapper. And one one thing that gotta understand,
which I grew up like this, bro. People think just
because you're a gay man that you're supposed to be
scared of somebody, just like I'm Jamaican, I'm straight, like bro.
You the main ones that I would that you need
to get slapped because you think just because you just
type of way that you can just beat somebody up,
or just because somebody is a gay man that you
was gonna do this.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
It's not like that. And I'm glad Saucy saying Tanna
is standing on all business.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
I will say saussy Santana will do a great dis tect.
Remember walk was a distrack.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Allegedly, that's what Santa said. No, it wasn't, but I
believe it was. Yeah, Saucy called me for some bars.
Next that gonna help you bar act.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Down, bro.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
All right, And lastly, I want to talk about DJ Kallen.
He was recently on with Shannon's Sharp and he talked
about not believing in accountants and managing his own finances.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
I don't believe in no accountant.
Speaker 17 (21:43):
I pay the grass, the car Washington, the god has
cut my hair, the electric bill, the car note, the mortgage.
I have a rule when my bank gotta tell me.
Even if I tell him I approve it, don't listen
to me. I have a rule if you pay for
everything yourself, you notice you're paying too much for stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
I got a rule.
Speaker 17 (22:03):
The bounds got to always go like that. So if
I touch that, that means it got to be replaced
that hour, no more than two weeks.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Wow. See now I will tell you this.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
I was talking about it because I have an accountant,
and I do let my accountant handle a lot of things,
but I pay everything myself so he can see all
of my bank accounts and what's happening, But you can't
make any payments because I do like to control my
payments as well.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
So, now that you know you're getting more successful and
you're getting bigger and you're getting more money, is it
dc a changing where you're gonna start letting people handle
other things in your life?
Speaker 15 (22:34):
You have to.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
I think it is important.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
But I also understand Call's point of view and his
day to day expenses, and you know he has a family.
I'm sure his wife also participates in that. And paying
bills to me is like something I am constantly doing.
So if you can set aside two days a month
to just handle that, you can do it.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I just can't wait I get to the day where
I need an accountant.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
All right, Well, let's get into under the radar.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
When we come back, we'll talk about a prostitution ring
with politicians, tech execs, lawyers, all of them as clients.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
But right now, let's get money.
Speaker 7 (23:05):
It's too money.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
It's way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Travis here, I'm in the building. What's up, baby, what's up?
It's under the radar time. These are not necessarily in
the headlines, these stories of flying under the radar. Now
three individuals have been arrested, that is, for operating a
high end brothel network in Massachusetts and Virginia, and some
of their clients tell included elected officials, military officers, and
government contractors with security clearance clearances.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
What is a brothel? Just for the people that don't
that may not know what that.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Is, it's a place where you go to have sex
with prostitutes. Ow all right, So the people who got
arrested Han Lee from Cambridge, Massachusetts, James Lee from Torrens, California,
and John Young Lee from Denham, Massachusetts.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Gota sound like a little sex party. Just said, a
little sex party. What's the problem?
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Well, listen, they said buyers would come up there there
dot there's lawyers, accountants, elected officials, execs at high tech companies,
men who fuel this commercial sex ring. There's potentially hundreds
of individuals who took these services as buyers. And the
investigation is still in its early stages. And I know
right now the people who were clients are probably shaking
(24:17):
in their boots.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
I just feel like as long as the women or
whoever they were messing with weren't being sex trafficked and
forcing it to do on.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
This, let them do it now.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Listen, you don't know the situation though a lot of
times they are, yeah, and so that's what's really hard.
And they were taking them over state lines, you know,
that's trafficking. And the Prostitution Network primarily used two websites
that advertise appointments with Asian women and they said about
twenty sex buyers were interviewed in connection with this investigation.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I thought these were like women willingly, ready, ready to
do business, okay.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Right, And we don't know what people's circumstances are, but
we know that it's a huge deal in the United
States internationally, you know, trafficking is a huge situation. That's
why sometimes you're in the airport and you see that
some of these women, who knows what ages they are,
and so it's just something that's been.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
An ongoing issue, you know, and that is you're under
the radar.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Now, you know, we have the way it mixed coming
at the top of the hour, plus we do have
the legendary Ralph McDaniels joining us. He has a new
book out. It's actually a children's learning book. It's called
Roscoe Learns about Video Music Box. There's illustrations, there's a
lot of educational materials here. Yes you can, and he'll
love that. So we're gonna have Ralph McDaniel's here. It's
(25:31):
way up at Angela.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jee.
Speaker 8 (25:37):
And she's spilling it all. This is yeaty, way up.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
It's way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
And tre.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
It's here into some yeaty. So this was a monumental ruling.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
A judge rule today that song lyrics will be allowed
as evidence under certain conditions in uh the whole Young
Thug Ya Young Signlife reco trial.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Uh oh all right.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
So they admitted seventeen sets of rap lyrics conditionally that
prosecutors can use as evidence and the gang trial against
Young Thug and his alleged associates. The judge agreed that
prosecutors have to lay a foundation in order to use them,
and there were arguments from both sides yesterday. Young Doug's
attorney argued that the rapper's lyrics are art, that's what
(26:23):
Kevin Lewles has been saying, and they're targeting the rights
to free speech.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
But prosecutors argue that the lyrics are much more.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
They said, someone can look at the indictment and say,
one thing's for sure, that's not fantasy. People are dead
and murdered and a gang exists. So the judge did
conditionally admit again seventeen sets of rap lyrics that prosecutors
can use as evidence in this trial.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
I'm gonna be real with you.
Speaker 6 (26:45):
You if this man really shot up somebody mama house
and then rapped about it, pinpointing that he shout up,
some shot up somebody mama house.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
That's on you, brother. You got to if that's really
what you did, and.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
You really did that, And I'm not gonna be out
here screaming free nobody's I here shooting mama's in women's
houses and stuff.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Bro, let's just be real about it.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
I know those people are just going to hear it,
be like, oh, free to free thow, I don't care
what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Like, no, if you are here shooting out women's houses, yeah, that.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Goes with social media, things that you post on social media,
things that you say. You never know what's going to
be used against you, and so conditionally this can happen,
all right. Nicki Minaj is on the cover of Vogue
magazine and in this article she talks about a lot
of different things. Of course, Pink Friday to Her new
album's out in December, and according to this article, it
was written from the vandage point of a woman who
(27:32):
has gotten so many of the things that she dreamed about,
and yet the past still tugs. A new album asserts,
and it's very title, the wish to return to the
days when she wrote every track top to bottom and
laid her verses in over rhythms that she plucked off
of beat CDs that you could buy in Queen's And
she also talked about knowing her husband for so long.
She said, there's an ease we have with each other.
(27:53):
We make each other laugh for silly and we're always
reminiscing about some old story. If it was a guy
that I met as Nicki Minaj's, I think I'd feel
like they liked me because I'm Nicki Minaj. And what
if I don't look like Nicki Minaj? Every day, and
that combined with pregnancy would probably have made me crazy
all right.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Now.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
To be clear, Nicki Minaja has never recorded a rep
that she did in a author but there's a lot
of producers that assemble with beats and choruses and things
like that. And so she said, when I look back
at a lot of my music, I'm like, oh my god,
where was the meat in it? So for this album,
I went back to the old game plan. Another thing
that she talked about was waiting tables, getting fired from
three separate red lobsters for this courteous treatment of customers,
(28:32):
and working as an office manager. She did an interview
with Vogue seventy three questions with Vogue, and here's what
she had to say about misconceptions about Nicki Minaj.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
What is the biggest misconception about you.
Speaker 11 (28:44):
That I mean?
Speaker 3 (28:46):
All right?
Speaker 2 (28:47):
In addition to that, she talked about body positivity and
she said, I just looked at a video that I
posted on Instagram when I was twenty five, and I
would efing pay to look like that right now. But
today I can say that I'm at a piece with
who I am and how I look. I have to
say this as a black woman. Though I've made certain
choices for my son to not give him sweets and
candy and deuces because of illnesses like diabetes that run
(29:09):
in our community. I'm not in favor of body positivity
if it means unhealthy bodies.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
So she talks about loving your cursy.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
You see me over here this way? And can I
say something about Nicki Minad real quick? So she blocked
me on Instagram, But you know, I'm finally ready to
forgive her. Nikki, I forgive you if you want everyone
to unblock me.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
She blocked me for no.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Let the barbs nowhere.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
Now her fan base I can care less about. I
can't stand the bar But Nicki, me and you got
a relationship. Unblock me aka underscorees. When unblock me, we're.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Gonna talk about some trap stuff when we come back.
That is your yee t.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
But right now, speaking of Nicki Minas, let's talk about
one of her partners in crime fifty cent.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Here's some twenty one questions. All right, it's way up
with Angela yee.
Speaker 8 (29:51):
That's been way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 16 (29:55):
More.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Now, all right, it's way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm Angela.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
My guy trapped, you're ya tapped straight out of Philly.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
I mean you see me came up here baby night.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Look.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
Always appreciate you for letting me come up here and
rock with I won't even plan it on could being
in here today and she just like, yo.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
Rock with me.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
So I appreciate you.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Listen. I think that you're really great for this and
also for doing the music that you've been doing.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Now. When I first met you, I was on the
Breakfast Club and you would call it and you were
very funny, just very insightful, not just funny for the
sake of being funny, but also just being real. Yeah,
And so I appreciated you for that, and then you know,
we started having you on I had you on lip
Service before too, yes.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Which everybody that favorite episode like still like I talk
to people, they say that's their favorite.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Episode, Like we have to do it again.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, absolutely, not with Waxes time though.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
This is me, me and you, Okay, But you.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Also have been doing music all right, so just talk
about that and we have a snippet to play as well.
Speaker 6 (30:56):
I've been doing music for a little while now, like
started writing maybe about ten years ago. Started like we're
putting out my own music maybe about five years ago,
and I started saying that, oh wait, people actually like
my music and that you always wanted to do that.
I've always wanted to make music as far as you know,
putting it out.
Speaker 5 (31:13):
Though.
Speaker 6 (31:14):
When I was like twenty one, twenty two, twenty younger,
I was like d L and I knew that if
I started putting out music and if in case it
did take off, there's going to out me.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
He's gay, do this gay.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
But's now that I fully came out and embraced myself
and love myself, now it's like, oh, let me.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Use now it makes life so much easier.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
It's like so much easier to live.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
But I'm not going to say it's an easy thing
to come out either.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Definitely not.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
Oh I lost a lot of friends because I grew
up a little. I grew up around nothing but straight boys,
like and so it was definitely a difference when I
came out. But now those same ones that rapping and stuff,
now they be trying to hear like, yo, twin yo, bro,
see you doing your thing?
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah you have a
good one, brother.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
All right, but let's hear a snippet of the song
no No More Love.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
I'm dropping a video on Saturday. Check it out. I
got a man, let's kick it on the load that
cake because I got a block.
Speaker 8 (32:04):
Got but I'm stripping the phone.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Got no way, I'm gonna it's dying out your messagter
and going to my phone.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
Off the problems. I tell you love God, but you
would I'd rather bear my heart.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
No, I don't love a soul because I don't want
to feel no love because anybody's moving so long.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
I don't even need my heard because I don't want to.
Speaker 5 (32:28):
Feel no joint load.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Okay, I want you to feel right now, I'm gonna know.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
I'm in a happy situation, so you know, and you
also are writing for people.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
That's the goal too, Yes, that is definitely the goal.
Actually a few people have some tracks that that's been
given to them. That's like kind of high.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Up in the industry.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
All right, well good, I'm glad.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Well you know what, let's party right now. They put
your hands on.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
Your hands on your knees that that they ain't breathe,
which baby daddy baby has pull it off?
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Trap all right?
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Eight hundred two, nine fifty one fifty. ASKI is coming
up and right now rich.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Baby dad is.
Speaker 7 (33:09):
Everybody like since whether it's relationship or career advice, Angela's
dropping facts.
Speaker 8 (33:14):
You should know this is asky.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Its way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela yee, and
it is time for ASKI. I got my guy trapped
here with me.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Ye're I'm here baby all right.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
So eight hundred two ninety fifty one fifty is a number, Rosevelt.
What's up?
Speaker 9 (33:28):
Hey? How you doing?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
How you doing?
Speaker 8 (33:30):
I'm good?
Speaker 3 (33:30):
How are you?
Speaker 15 (33:31):
I would just like to advice on a situation I'm
currently going through where I'm trying to uh pretty much
draw the line between dealing with a woman that I
have a baby buy and a child is still kind
of young taking care of the baby, but it gets
to the point where it's kind of like taking care
of both of them.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
So like, you give me some examples of what you
mean met that, because I will say, part of taking
care of the baby, you want to make sure the
mom is okay if she's the one who child that
is with most of the time.
Speaker 15 (34:02):
Like helping out on rink, yeah mind you, I'm on
childsea okay? Still do or because it's not like it's
like the least payment, So I'm not you know, I
take care.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Of that, all right, Nothing wrong with being a good
person when you want to make sure that the mom
is comfortable and taking care of It's like.
Speaker 15 (34:19):
The little drummer involved like type of thing. And I'm
trying to basically heal myself and cut like some of
that energy off.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
But I don't want to neglect my responsibility at the
same time.
Speaker 6 (34:29):
So exactly what it's causing atention of your relationship that
y'all can't have a friendly relationship or just say courteous
relationship with each other, Like what's happening between y'all personally?
Speaker 15 (34:40):
I mean, I mean we had some issues infidelities.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Did you cheat or did she cheat?
Speaker 15 (34:46):
It was like early on, so it was like a
both type of thing to be honest.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Okay, does she still want to be with you?
Speaker 15 (34:52):
I mean, we tried it and it kind of like
didn't work because it's kind of like bringing up a
lot of old stuff and it's like really no progress.
My mom actually told me, like a man should not
be paying rent at a woman house that he don't
stay it.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
If you are able to help out I don't see
anything wrong with that because your child lives there, right, correct, right, Okay,
so stop looking at as like where she lives.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
It's where your daughter lives, all right, all right, okay.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
You know so I think sometimes it's like the thinking
of that if you're able to help. Look, it's great,
you're paying child support, you're not obligated to do any
of those other things. Any extra help you give is
for your child too. You want to make sure and
at some point, I do believe that most times it
is really hard when people have a kid together, they
try to work things out, they have issues with each other,
(35:41):
and a lot of times people aren't thinking about the
best interests of the child. They're just thinking about the
interests the problems they have with each other, and that
overrides everything when it's not always what's best for the child, Like, yes,
it is best for the child to be able to
have a mom that's not concerned about having to pay
the full rent herself, and to make sure that they
have extra things in the household that may not be included.
(36:02):
Like you said, your child support isn't that much, so
if you can do a little bit more, that helps
out where your child is staying.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
That should give you peace of mind. Also, yeah, I
believe you.
Speaker 15 (36:13):
I think what you said.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
I think I need to like let it go.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
I guess it is helpful if you guys can learn
how to engage with each other as best as possible,
because you're going to have to you have a kid together.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
And so if that means that you guys go.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
To co parenting counseling, I know they have that because
it's not about how you feel about each other. It's
about making sure that your child is taking care of
in the best way. And like you said, you don't
want your child to have to feel the animosity that
you have toward each other, you know, so sometimes you
do have to put all of your own personal feelings
(36:46):
about this person on the backseat to do what's greater
for your child.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
That's always first priority, because.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
It's nothing worse to being a child sing your parents beef.
Trust me, right, I know.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
And you can give limitation if you have to say, look,
I'm giving you X amount.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
You know.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
I know I pay child support, but I'm gonna give
you X amount toward the rent every month and that's
all I can do. And if you need to buy
clothes for your kids. You can do that on your own,
you know, if you need to. It's so easy now
to send things to the house for your child so
that you don't have to give money. If that's what
bothers you like handing over the money, and that's something
that's you know, a sticking point for you. But just
remember the rent that you're paying is where your child
stays too.
Speaker 15 (37:24):
All right, all right, let me trust you.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Okay, some good energy, that's why.
Speaker 15 (37:31):
That's the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Yeah, and you gotta be positive too.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
You know, sometimes that energy transfers and then when she
does it, you can say, look, I'm not trying.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
To argue with you.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Go go get your new woman and lead your baby
mam alone.
Speaker 9 (37:42):
Bro o.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Bye, But thank you for calling. We appreciate you, Roosevelt.
Speaker 15 (37:49):
I appreciate all y'all.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
Keep doing your things, all.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Right, thank you? All right, Well that was asking, And
don't forget.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
We have Ralph McDaniels joining us, the founder of Video
Music Box and also he has the book out Rascal
Learns about Video Music Back.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Let's keep it alive, all right, it's way up with
Angela gee volume.
Speaker 8 (38:06):
Most y'all be way up with Angelay break them, break
them down more.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Now, what's up this way?
Speaker 15 (38:15):
Yu?
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Put Angela gee, I'm Angela yee. And Jasmine brand is here, yes,
and this is a true legend in the building. Ralph
McDaniels is here with us and listen. So I've spoken
to you before extensively about video music box. You know,
I grew up watching Uncle Ralph on video music Box
and you ventured into something new right right now you
(38:36):
have this Rascal learns about video music box, and so
this is an educational tool. So can you tell us
about how you even ended up doing this to educate
the younger kids about video music box.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
So you know, I work with the library in New York.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
I've been there Queen's Club, Glasses.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
The Library, yes you have.
Speaker 18 (38:54):
And so I was looking around and I was like, well,
we need some more hip hop for the younger kids.
And I started looking at the children's books and so
the seven plus area seem like a safe place for
me because I wanted to keep it authentic to the culture.
And so we started thinking about what a book would
look like.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
This is more like a work book.
Speaker 18 (39:12):
It's a coloring workbook, yes, So it's not like a
read where you know there are read you know you
can read.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
I'd love to get in.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
It's a little read and know that listen as you know,
anytime you need me to be somewhere, yes, all you
have to do is say the word yes.
Speaker 18 (39:27):
And so it's exciting because going into these schools. I
work in schools all the time. You know, you're around kids,
and you know they just need a little help and
something they can identify with. And I think that the
hip hop is definitely where their head is at. It's
not like you know, the young school stuff that's out now,
but it talks about hip hop culture and things that
are going on right now and also gives them a
(39:49):
little bit of work. It's not even easy. It's like
a little bit of this real work you got to
put put into this.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Right now, Jasmine Brandon and I are talking to Ralph
McDaniel's about his book Rascal learns about Video Music Box.
All right, well, let's switch gears. Let's talk about video
music Box. I want to ask you, with a limited
amount of time on the show, for you to play videos.
I remember I interned at MTV, right and they would
present to the music manager a video and then they
would have a music meeting every week to see like
(40:15):
what could get onto the air. People had to actually
pitch it, and they would be pitching hard. Like I
remember Diddy. We went to Daddy's house when I was
interning in my the person Fred Jordan was his name,
who I was interning interning for, and it was like
a hole to do. Like they had champagne, they had drinks.
They were like, Okay, we're gonna play the video.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
And so it was really like did people have to
come to you and kind of pitch their videos because
you know, it wasn't like everything was gonna make it on.
Speaker 18 (40:43):
The air, right, Yeah, No, I mean people would come
Jay and Rock and fellow days. They would come with
the with the champagne and all that.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
It would be in a like a basket and the
videos in the middle, and I'd be like, Okay, the.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Gift box, I already put this on next week.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Can you talk about some of the big videos that
you debuted, all of them, you know, like well she
got to about ninety seven.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
See that. The problem the way I would beat MTV
to the punch is because you have to go through
a process.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
That's what Yeah, to pitch. Then I had to prove it.
Then they might be like, oh, we can't air this
because it has this word or it has it. Yeah,
So they just had to get to you.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
All they had to do is come through the office.
Speaker 18 (41:21):
Like if my show came on at three point thirty
two o'clock, somebody showed up with the video and then
Puff would be like, yo, please play it, Please play
it right now. And I'll be like, I got you.
It's Craig mac or it's you know, Black Rob or
whoever it is. And we would play it because I
knew that we were you know, think about hip hopis
we want to hear it first, right, yeah? And I said, okay,
(41:42):
if I can get it to the airways first.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Yeah. Then I got exclusive.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Remember people used to spend a million dollars on a video.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
Crazy. Yeah.
Speaker 18 (41:50):
Well, Hype Williams, Hype was my assistant. He started with
me and he, you know, we started doing videos. I
gave him the first couple of videos. He lived in
Queens on Linden Bull pick him up, get in the
car and we were driving. He was working in the
art department. Then he said I want to do videos,
and I said, all right, I should try this one,
and people wanted me to do it.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
I'm like, no, this kid is good.
Speaker 18 (42:10):
He got an I and then he became, you know, hyping,
you know, one of the most amazing directors hip.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Hop directors ever.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
All Right, Ralph McDaniels is here, and you know he
is a legend. We call him Uncle Ralph. But he
also has a book out right now, Roscoe learns about
Video Music Backs. In case you don't know, he is
the founder and creator of Video Music Backs. We have
more with him when we come back. It's way up
at the Angela Ye.
Speaker 8 (42:32):
That's from the volumes.
Speaker 7 (42:33):
Y'all be way up with Angela yeere come break them
down more.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Now, what's up his way up at the angela Gee,
I'm angela yee. Jasmine Brand is here and we are
talking to Uncle Ralph aka Ralph McDaniels, aka the creator
of Video Music Box. And then for you to have
worked like you said with nas and mass appeal to
do the whole documentary that was on Showtime about Video
(42:58):
Music Box, that had to feel like a whole like
three sixty from the beginning from somebody that he came
to you to work with him, Like I just want
you to do your video music box thing too. Now
I'm working with NAS to actually put out a whole documentary.
Whose idea was that? Was that yours or his?
Speaker 1 (43:14):
It was my idea.
Speaker 18 (43:15):
I had to deal originally with hbo okay and Mark
Wahlberg Oh wow, in the middle of the pandemic, and
it just dragged out and dragged out and dragged out.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
So Mark Wahlberg initially wanted to do the video music
the yeah, because remember he used to wrap the fucking bunch.
Speaker 18 (43:32):
He hates when people bring that up too, so he
we you know, it's crazy because I'm having conversations with
him and you know, and it's dragging out, and it's
like I'm like, this is taking too long, you know,
And our contract ran out, and Sasha Jenkins from Massive
Hill said, hey, what do you think you know if
we take it to showtime? I said, take it and
(43:53):
him and NAS went to a meeting with like ten
different ideas and the first thing the guy said was
you know the guy who does hear music And they
were like, yeah, like we want to do that one.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
You never know who's looking for you, right, Yeah. Sometimes
you don't even know your own power.
Speaker 18 (44:09):
Right, right, I had no idea, and so that was
it and nas wasn't directing at first, and then you know,
like about three months in, Nad said, you know, I
want to direct that, so you don't have time to
do this, and he's like, no, this is close to
my heart.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
I grew up watching you. You've been to my house,
You've you've seen my mother when she was like, you
know you know me?
Speaker 18 (44:27):
And I was like yeah, I said, all right, you
know it didn't itn't take me too long to think
about NASO.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Right now, Jasmine Brandon and I are talking to Ralph
McDaniel's about his book Rascal Learns about Video Music Backs,
So can we look forward to Rascal Learns about Video
Music Bocks. This is going to be like an ongoing series.
Are you already planning to, like, you know, roll some
more out.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (44:52):
So this is basically the video music box story, but
there'll be other hip hop related just in general hip
hop stories, because that's originally what they wanted to do.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
And I was like, no, we'll do it about video music,
but I know about video music.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
Do that that would be amazing working. Rascal says, protect
your neck exactly.
Speaker 18 (45:12):
You can get it online now the Tasko books, it's
I T A S C A B O O K S.
And then for the holidays around Black Friday they'll.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Be in retail.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
I'm already thinking of some other books. Let's talk about sex.
We can have one with salt and pepper theme, like
we can talk about that might be for often education.
You learn that health education. This is seven, this is
seventh new, Yeah, that one might have to be like you.
Speaker 3 (45:38):
See pushing the coach and forward saying that was responsible,
you know, whay to go about it?
Speaker 2 (45:47):
All right, but thank you so much for joining us.
You know, it's always a pleasure. I love when I
get a chance to see you out. And Rascal learns
about video Music Box.
Speaker 18 (45:55):
Where can they get it again, the Tasco books or
follow me at Video Music Box and you can find out.
We're gonna do book signings and all kinds of stuff
in the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Oh, Rascal learns about cream and then we can do
something about like money and finances.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Gotta be a good book, okay, Angela.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
All right, well, thank you so much to Ralph McDaniels
for joining us. Such a long, rich history. Make sure
you watch the documentary on Showtime. Also make sure you
pick up his book, Rascal Learns About Video Music Box.

Speaker 8 (46:33):

Speaker 3 (46:42):

Speaker 6 (46:44):
No more love is out especially the females. I love
writing for females like I like talking dirty and ratchet,
so please hit me up.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
I got a hit dirty and RATCHETUO. Let's not forget
all right and listen. Thank you to Ralph McDaniels for
joining us. Rascal Learns about Video Music Box. This is
the book that's out right now, but you know there's
a Video Music Box documentary that Na's also helped to
executive produce a mass Appeal with Ralph McDaniels. He has
some of the most amazing footage and interviews from people
(47:11):
including you know all of Wu Tang, including Tupac Biggie.
I mean when I tell you he's interviewed everybody legendary
and hip hop at a time when people weren't really
doing that, he was showing all the hip hop music
videos he directed some you know, just an amazing person,
always super humble.
Speaker 6 (47:28):
For some reason, I vaguely remember. I feel like I
vaguely remember seeing that video music box when I.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Was like younger.
Speaker 2 (47:34):
I mean, it was like super early on for him
to have the vision to do something like that. And
he has some footage that I feel like, is listen
worth so much money? So Ralph, don't you give that
up license that you know.
Speaker 4 (47:46):
When you need to.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
But he knows what he's doing.
Speaker 2 (47:48):
But anyway, check out that full interview on Way Up
with you, and of course you guys have a great
rest of your day.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
Tomorrow is Friday. Cannot wait for that. But here is
your last words.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
Stay blessed.
Speaker 12 (48:00):
You ain't cheating, you ain't trying, and I'm not gonna
hold you. I did it a couple of times, and
the one I cheated with she passed the post clarity test,
so technically I wasn't wrong.
Speaker 15 (48:09):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 12 (48:10):
You know how that be after that post clarity like
it tells you everything you need to know. If you
still like them after that, then you silly. It's how
it was supposed to be. But I found out I
was getting cheated on, so I had to get it
back in blood.
Speaker 9 (48:20):
Hey, what's up Angela Yee and Trash. It's the boy
Gemini DJ from Chicago. So I am shining the light
on myself today. I graduate with my master's degree this
weekend and Business Management Administration, and I just want to
say thank you Angela Ye for always spreading positive and energy,
good energy. I appreciate you.
Speaker 8 (48:41):
Going way out with Angela Yee
