Speaker 2 (05:12):
I'm Angela Yee and I'm joined by my very special
co host today, Chris Witherspoon.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Hey, and what's up?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
And you are the expert, like I said, mister pop
viewers founder Okay Entertainment Analysts. So let's get into some
yet Dion Sanders and Tracy Edmonds. They were engaged, but
they have unfortunately ended their relationship.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
It's been twelve years.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Too many folks didn't even know about this. By the way,
I felt like it wasn't something that folks talked a
whole lot about. They kind of kept it on the low.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Well, I feel like they've been together for a while,
and maybe they've been broken up for a while, because
we've seen a lot of Dion Sanders with all the
amazing things that he's been doing, but we're also not
seeing a lot about the two of them together. So
Tracy Edmunds posted to everyone who's been there for us,
supported us, and shown us love. We have mutually decided
that it's best for us to move forward in life

(05:59):
is free and have made the decision with love and
our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the
times we share together. Deon Sanders also posted, love you, Tracy,
and You've been a true blessing to me. I appreciate
the times we shared and the last we've had.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
That's beautiful. I love seeing like an amicable, conscious uncoupling,
like when it's pouch funk. Chris Martin to this is
we need more of this.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I feel like it starts off that way a lot too,
like Jeezi and Jeannie mis true, this is all of
a sudden, You're like, what happened?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
This is also she's probably getting a good coin what's
already making.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
But she makes a lot of money already. She's a
television producer, so true, yeah, yeah, she does pretty well
for herself. And they said she been moved and got
her own place and it's like a state, like not
even just but a huge estate with.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Multiple Tracy, let's let's have all.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Right, people do those Summer Walker and Little Meat breakup
rumors if they un followed each other on Instagram? Sometimes
people do just unfollow each other because they be mad.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
I'm telling you that's one part the boy.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
See me, I don't unfollow. I'll do the thing where
you don't know why and followed you. I just can't
see your stuff. Stract yes, looking at your stuff. I'm not,
you know, out of mind.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yes, I don't know what happened. But uh, they've been
off and on, all right. And in good news, Terrence J.
And MICHAELA. Sultan are engaged.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
She's a model in somolieres like a wine, like a
wine promise, you're right, yes, okay, it's like very strict
schooling you have to go through to get that. And
so congratulations to them, okay, Terrence.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
And I love that.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Terrence, he flew Mikayla's family out to Miami to be
there for the special moment. I love seeing that.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yes, and yeah, he does live in Miami now, remember
he moved from l in Miami.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
All right.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
And another another one a good another good friend of
Terrence Jass, Michael B.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Jordan now Michael B.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Jordan crashes Ferrari into a parked car in Hollywood. You
didn't even hear this story, but this happened last night
and a spokesperson for the LAPD said the incident occurred
around eleven thirty four pm. It was a busy section
of Sunset Boulevard. There was a traffic collision. There were
no signs of anything nefarious and no evidence of a dui.
Upon arrival, they did a field Oh they did not

(08:15):
do a field to briety test, but no arrests were made.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Listen, I hope he has a good insurance because that's
a Ferrari and just a regular car. He crashed a Ferrari.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Into a Kia into it.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
How does that.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Event come on? Someone's having the big pay day?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
So I don't know if anybody was It was a
parked car, so fortunately nobody was injured. But they said
the left side of the vehicle was dented, metal scraps
were hanging down after the impact, and his vehicle was
They said the right fender was ripped off and one
of the tires was spotted multiple yards behind the car
after the collision. Looks like the Kia was had less

(08:51):
damage done. I hope they got get you a on
your side one. All right, Well, when we come back,
we do have about last night, because that was your
yet and we're gonna talk about what you did last night.
And this is a eut Renaissance is number one at
the box office, twenty one million dollars in its debut.
We are not surprised that it's number one. So about
last night since you went to go see it yesterday,

(09:12):
we'll discuss. But right now, let's get into some Beyonce
and Sean Paul. I don't know if we'll ever see
them perform this song together again. But here's baby boy.
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
So about last night, last night, last nights I went down?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
But first let's talk about me and Chris out here
vibing to Sexy Red. If you were you know about
bout Bow, you know that song that f my baby daddy?
Oh no one, Okay, we'll play yes, I don't know
if we can. You know what kind about playing Sexy Red?
A lot of her music you gotta like bleep out
too much? But I love it like I'll be you know,

(09:47):
I like to in my head like I'm really.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Really yumy too.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
I And so let's do about last night.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Now, you went to go see Beyonce's Renaissance, which, by
the way, is No. Number One at the box office
twenty one million dollars all right, now, Usually they said
after Thanksgiving early December, the box office is really slow,
but Renaissance defied the odds. It is the first time
a film has opened over twenty million dollars on that
weekend in twenty years since the last Samurai No No.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
She brought us out and I think for me going
to see this film, it was obviously relive in the
concert again, like seeing what that experience was like. But
you know, for Beyonce, she doesn't really give us access
into her life. So with Taylor Swift, Taylor did press,
she's done interviews, So you're watching a concert and not
looking for like that documentary experience. With this one, it
was trying to see what Beyonce tells us about her life.
The cameras catching her. Her daughter was sir and roomy.

(10:41):
Her parents were.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Back saying you never get to see them. We got
to have blue Ivy given her input.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I see it part of.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
The documentary, but also I think what I learned was
Beyonce in her work ethic, her resilience. She had a knee,
her entire knee that song we just play hands on
your knees. She had her entire knee blowout before she
did this. Had to have her knee like I think
like reconstruct somehow. You see her like on a table
getting like work done to her knee while she's having

(11:08):
like pet and rehearsing in a knee pad. I just
think her work ethic to me outshines anyone in the industry.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, for people that don't understand. Everybody would be like,
I want to be the next Beyonce. I want to
do this Beyonce, But you don't even understand the amount
of work.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Her mom said that she was in the studio twenty four.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Hours hours a day for like a month. And what's
crazy is Beyonce's over a certain age now, so it
catches up to you. She had iv the one part
that I love. I'm gonna rewatch it over and over again.
She was on a plane with jay Z and I
saw an Ivy bag behind her, like I'm like, what
is she taking while she's flying around? I'm like, I
want to get me a good ivy move.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Ever done that?

Speaker 4 (11:45):
No, but I want one now.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I'm like, if Beyonce has an ivy bag, I won't
want to.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Now I gotta go see it. How were they acting
in the theater Chile?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Dave was turning up? It was a Sunday afternoon yesterday.
But also it was a good turn up. It wasn't crazy,
folks weren't I weren't fighting fighting, but there were certain
songs that got people on their feed.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Oh, I gotta go see it. All right, Well, thank
you for filling me in. Now when we come back,
we have tell us a secret now, Chris, were you
here for tell us.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
A secret before?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Remember this is when people call in and they are
anonymous and we don't judge them, and they're gonna tell
us a secret.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Okay. It could be anything.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
We're not here to judge you, Chris and I are
just here to listen for you to put it out there.
Maybe it's something that's been up burden on your brain.
Maybe you do want some judgment. I don't know, but
they will judge you. In the comments eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty call us up and tell
us a secret.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
It's a way up.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
What's up? His way up? But Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I'm Angela Yee and I am here with my good
friend Chris Witherspoon.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
What's up.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Make sure y'all check out his company, Pop Viewers that
he founded. And it's time to tell us a secret. Now, Chris,
you know this is when people call in, we are
not going to judge them, but we can ask questions
to get further clarification.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
So we call it and it's anonymous.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I love this. I love this moment of authenticity. If
no one does it like y'all all right?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Well are you hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
all right, anonymous collar?

Speaker 3 (13:11):
What's your secret?

Speaker 7 (13:12):
So basically, I've been working at this place for a
little bit now, and uh we had this Christmas party
where we're supposed to get a Christmas bonus, and uh,
the ball didn't give us the bonus. So my co
workers is from his ass so he couldn't.

Speaker 8 (13:25):
He couldn't.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
Even you don't know what he's doing. He ain't seen nothing.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
He's stole his glasses?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Wait, how do y'all not get your Christmass?

Speaker 11 (13:32):
Man?

Speaker 7 (13:32):
Because he told us if we went to the criminal party,
we stayed the whole time. They he's gonna give us
the Christmas bonus. But we stayed all the way till
nine o'clock at night, and he ain't give.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Us nothing because the bonus still be coming. Maybe on
the way, Oh no, yet still coming.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Now where I'm glad? Where did they put his glasses?

Speaker 11 (13:50):
Now?

Speaker 7 (13:50):
I'm not to ask him. I don't know. I just
got him to him up.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Was he able to drive home? You don't know that?

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Ain't my frogsh are when they're prescription. I don't know
if they were the super thick glasses. But he can't
see a thing, you know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
I'm yeah, he's basically learn whatever.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Them y'all did, it's not bone.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
He shouldn't have told them though they was about to
get that. And you can't play with people's money. All right, Well,
thank you, all right, thank you, see no judgment.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
They are crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Hey, Anonymous Calor, how are you?

Speaker 6 (14:25):
I'm there?

Speaker 12 (14:26):
How are you today?

Speaker 3 (14:27):
I'm good as me? And Chris Witherspoon, what's your secret?

Speaker 12 (14:30):
So my secret is I have been in a relationship
for six years and we are engaged, but I have
not had an orgasm in our relationship in.

Speaker 8 (14:40):
The last two years.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
And to answer that, so, why so you were having
them before? What happened?

Speaker 12 (14:47):
After a while things get kind of mundane and boring.
And if he's not willing to try new things, especially
as a woman and your body changes after having children
and things like that, you know we're may not produce
the same results. But with his my cheese load being
so strong, you know, it's hard to tell them, hey,
do this instead, because that's not working anymore.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Are you faking it?

Speaker 7 (15:10):
Unfortunately?

Speaker 12 (15:11):
Sometimes yes, I am.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
This could be a breakthrough your relationship. Y'all can go
shopping together to one of the more intimacy stores and
little sex shops. I would say, try to get a
little bag of things that you could play around with together.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Some toys.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
But I think as long as you still are able
to come together and have sex, no, you have to
just not But you have to just get real. You
have to get real, honest and get very creative with him,
I think, and make it be something that can be
adventure for the two of you.

Speaker 8 (15:36):
Yeah, I'll try some different things. That was a very
adventurous person sexuality before we got together. Even when we
got together, you.

Speaker 12 (15:43):
Know, I had my sed doors boxes I like to
call it, but it was so intimidating to him that
ultimately I had to reduce myself sexually to him at
his comfort level. And now I think it's coming back
to backfire me.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Yeah, eas him into it, you know, just ease him
into it, play little games. Tell him now, we not
doing all that yet. You gotta wait, you have to
earn it. Maybe y'all could watch porn together and then
copy what's happening in the movie.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
That's what my idea.

Speaker 12 (16:08):
That would be an idea. I hope it just doesn't
take it as oh.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I'm not enough, you know, No, No, you gotta make
it fun, y'all gotta have some wy Yeah. All right, okay,
well listen, we did a whole thing, but you judgment,
but thank you for calling and sharing. All right, Well
that was tell us a secret eight hundred two nine
fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through. And
when we come back, we have some yet, and let's

(16:32):
discuss usher. You talked about going to Beyonce's show. Did
you make it out to Usher's residency. You know it
was his final show and he got very emotional. We'll
discuss its way up.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
She's about to blow the lead about this pot. Let's
get it.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
Angelus feeling that yee te Come and get the tea.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Ye, I'm Angela Yee and Chris Witherspoon is here, founder
of Pop Viewers, also NBC News entertainment analysts. What's popping, Angela,
what's poppened? Let's talk about what's popping in our yet.
Usher had his final Las Vegas residency performance.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Did you go to that?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
I didn't get a chance to go to that. Did
you go?

Speaker 10 (17:06):
No?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Probably would have serenaded you.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
I would have been that's tough. I mean did him
Did you see him?

Speaker 9 (17:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:15):
I mean how could you not?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I mean you got to let him go.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Did you see Mary day Blige?

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I mean I saw yesterday. She pulled away. She wasn't
happening it. But Mary's also she's a girl from the
from the bron was playing wait, who's money for her
character on Oh Yes, She's giving you money? From Power
from the Power series. She hit him game. She pulled
her face her entire face away.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
But I could have got up and did a little
you know step.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
I also saw Jennifer Hudson with comment on Saturday, I
think Saturday or Friday. Yeah, she went up there, Yeah,
and she got up. She was dipping in doing it.
That's like a day. Wasn't a day It's supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Fun, yeah, you know, but he was emotional.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It was his last performance, by the way, probably one
of the most talked about in our community Vegas residencies ever.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
I mean props to Usher two, who was Who's I
think that biggest residency is why he's doing the halftime show.
It put him back on the map. I mean was
he was on a map for us already, but I
think for a lot of the folks that are into
the business of music, put him on a map in
a real way.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
And I bet you made a lot of artists want
to do a residency now, guess because it went so well.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
So shout out to you, Usher. I'm going to the
Beyonce when I thought will be happens because they're doing
they'll go to that one as well.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
They already announced theirs. I'm gonna go to that all right.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Will Smith gave an update about I Am Legend two,
where he is starring, in and producing alongside Michael B.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Jordan.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
He was at the Red Sea International Film Festival and
the sequel is based on the alternate ending.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 8 (18:42):
I have a call with Michael B.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Jordan tomorrow.

Speaker 11 (18:46):
But in the first one, in the theatrical version, my
character died, but on the DVD there was an alternate
version where my character lived. We're going with the mythology
of the DVD version where my character lived. And I
can't tell you anymore, but Michael and Jordan is in

(19:07):
and we were doing it.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
I love this. I'm so into this and that movie
when it came out, it shook me. Each time I
see it, I'm shooked. And I think this is a
great way for Will shook it, for Will to kind
of have a comeback.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
You know what Michael Dan said, this is the first
movie that made him cry.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Oh my god, he cried. You said that, I'm like
a doll died or something. Department the dog died. No,
I cried, I screamed, I jumped. And I also rewatched
that a lot during COVID. I was watching it. Oh
my god, because to me. I wanted to go all in.
I wanted to be ready. I was like, if this,
let me figure out it was called bird Box, let
me get the cheetos.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, all right, Glorella has gotten her booby's done.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
So she was on social media.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
She went on Instagram Live and revealed that she got
a new body.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 6 (19:57):
I just bought some.

Speaker 8 (19:58):
New didn't look feeling or just feelking me. It's for
my main.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Do it for you girls. So she did it for
her and for her new Manda grip on it.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I wanting to see these things right now, but I'm
just proud of her for coming out and be honest.
Without I'm googling it, I'm like, wait.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Did she post them?

Speaker 2 (20:17):
At least she's being up and honest. Yeah, all up front,
all up front. But yeah, so she did that. She's
very funny, by the way.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
No, I want to see Glorilla begin hosting stuff like
the VMA's the b ET Awards.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
She is hilarious and I think she's quite entertaining. When
she did lip Server, she says some things that people
were saying.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I think she was joking, but I'm not.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Sure she's unfiltered. She does not hold anything back.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Flashback to the episode. We were like, what that's nassy,
but she tried to say it was a joke.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Later maybe it was, but I have to do a cereal, right,
was that right?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
All right?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I'll be playing that one tonight.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
That is your yet.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
And when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
In the headlines.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
They are flying under the radar, but they're very fun
and interesting, important, all of those things.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
It's way up.

Speaker 13 (21:02):
It's in the.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
News that relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
It's the way you put Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and Chris Witherspoon is here with me today.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
What's good? What's popping?

Speaker 3 (21:13):
What's popping?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
And I already ready for these under the radar stories.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
I love these stories, all right?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Well, Sax and Nieman Marcus might be merging. You said
you thought they already wanted company.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
To me are the same, They're the same, damn thing.
Two stories that I can't afford. Let's because of honest,
they got beautiful windows. I walked past the windows and
that's about it.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Somebody was laughing at me.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
The other day because I was like buying something on
sale at Sacks and then they had like an additional
off right, No, so I actually went online and the
code wasn't working. But then I went in my email
and found another code. He he was like, you got
a bunch of codes for these discounts.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Because the prices in there are like rent prices.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Those are, when I promise you though, the sales when
stuff goes on sale amazing. All right, So right now
they are in talks to merge and the only thing
is they're having some issues of who's going to get
a bigger portion in cash. Both chains are struggling though,
so that's why they got to figure this out. Niemen
went bankrupt in twenty twenty because of pandemic lockdowns partly

(22:15):
and the huge debts from their management and investment board
and Sex and Niemen. And I noticed a lot of
Sacks have been closing them all that.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I noticed that as well.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Yeah, in Jersey, there's no more Sacks there anymore. You
know what, it's the same Bergdorf Goodman and Nieman Marcus
are the same company.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
The same company. Okay, but this deal is value that
three billion dollars. It'll be huge if it actually happens.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Yeah, and it would say both of them.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Okay, so make the prices go down too.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
All right, Yeah, I think so. All right.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Self checkouts are going to be scrapped at Walmart, Costco,
and Wegman's, and some retail experts protect the reported rise
in crime will lead to the demise of self checkout
at big retailers also because people are just stealing, you know.
Self checkout has gotten a lot of mixed reviews from customers.
Some prefer not having to interact with employees, Others have

(23:03):
issues with technology mishaps.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I used to work at a supermarket when.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I was in college at campus, and I love bagging
my own groceries. I always bag my own broke anyway.
I'd also like to like put things the way I
went to in a bag. But I will say when
I do self chech, I hate when it keeps on
calling for an associate to come and help me. I
know they get annoyed too, and it's like something's wrong
sometimes at the system where it keeps on being like

(23:29):
you need a sales associate, sales associate.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
And the sometimes it doesn't acknowledge the best.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
You don't if you don't wait. If it's not if
the weight's not there, it's a problem. But I worked
the old Lady when I was in high school, and
I used to be so exhausted when stuff one scanned
would just put in the bag I gave.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Somebody gave step away. Not high on Christmas.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Right now, but people would have free micro fleece all
the things.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I was like, I'll be like, go to his register
everry Christmas. All right, Well that is you're under the
rate now, you know. We got the Way of Mixed
coming at the top of the hour. Plus we have
comedian Lounelle joining us today and I feel like a
lot of it. A lot of this interview we had
to put only on the YouTube channel because it's like
a sexy red song.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Okay, it's very hard to edit.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
It for only fans, because she is the only fans.
We talked about that. That was one of the things
she told me not to ask about. Well, and then
I asked it. All right, but we'll discuss it. Lunelle
is going to be coming up later, but in the meantime,
let's party it up. It's a Monday. Chris with Thespoon
is here. Let's celebrate his way out.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
She's like the like they Angela Jean, like they Angela
jee Man.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
It's way up. But Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Chris with Aspoon is here.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
What's popping? I feel so good to be here, y'all.

Speaker 11 (24:48):
Me.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Yeah, I'm glad to have you because you are really
in this entertainment world.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
All right, this is y'all.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Well, let's do some yeat.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Geennie May was on the Jennifer Hudsons Show, and for
the first time ever, she's really spoken about her divorce
from j Z. And here's what you had to say
about finding out when we did.

Speaker 13 (25:07):
I think I'm doing better now, you know. I think
at the time when I found out, you know, at
the same time as the rest of the world, that
my marriage was ending in divorce, I was gutted. Today
it's about picking up the pieces. It's about discovering me
and being a mom to the best blessing in my life.
Even though this year I met the most broken version
of me, I also met the strongest version of I

(25:29):
love you.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Oh that's tough, that is powerful, But I love My
therapist always says life happens to us, you know, it
happens for us, not to us, you know, and to me.
Everything in your life it can be it can you
can let it break you. It can lead to your breakthrough.
And it sounds like that is what she's letting us do.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
And it's okay to be broken for a minute too,
you know. Sometimes I feel like you got to always
be strong. It's okay to find those pieces. Yeah, put
it together. But props Jennifer Hudson forgetting this exclusive. That's
that's a good looks for her show. And she also
talked about the holidays and her daughter going with her
to the bay, and she said that her daughter, Monica,
will also be spending time with her dad. Jezi said
that she's able to experience both sides of the family,

(26:08):
so at least they're co parenting. Yes, I find even
though he had said previously that he wasn't getting the
access and she was gatekeeping but not purposefully their daughter's wow.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
All right.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Money Long gave a health update on her loopus battle,
and she also revealed that she recently learned that she
is autistic.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
All right.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
She said, apparently I'm autistic, and my free self is
the version of me that I began repressing at the
age of twenty two because it made people highly uncomfortable.
It started first with me doing insane amounts of drugs,
and then when that didn't work, I just held it in,
which led to lupus. But she said, and now that
lupis has gotten to a point where it's effectively impossible
to contain, and in order to free myself from the

(26:48):
roller coaster that is autoimmune disease, I have to let
my emotions, thoughts, and feelings out. But autism. OMG, this
is so whack. But at least knowing I am autistic
explained so much.

Speaker 11 (26:58):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
I'm just proud of her for having the train parency
to go online and say all of this. These young
kids need to learn it is okay to be to
not be okay sometimes. And I think so many of
our artists are are our rappers, are singers, They are
on the spectrum, so many of them. It opens them
up to a whole new wave of creativity.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
I think, right, some people are artistic, are some of
the most brilliant geniuses.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
So embrace it. Don't be afraid.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
We gotta but it is hard to learn that right away.
So I sympathize with that because she said she just
found that out, and.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
So oh yeah, because my mind will be googling all
the wrong things, like going down the spiral.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
All right, Well, shout out to you.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I love me some money long, so appreciate that. And
there was a rumor that Ashanty and Nelly are expecting
a baby. The two of them were on stage over
the weekend, and then he rubbed her belly on stage.
You know, automatically, the rebind of the belly means it
means a lot of that. So we'll see what happens.
They could have been joking or not, but we shall see.
And when we come back Chris with this boom, we're

(27:55):
gonna learn some more about what you have going on
right now. But speaking of Ashanti and Nelly potentially, you know,
having a baby, let's play some birthday sex, because that's
how that happens.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
It was just his birthday. Here's jere my birthday. Sex's
way up.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
Oh, be way up with Angela ye, break them break
them down more. Now he's going down.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Chris Witherspoon is here with me today.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
What's popa y'all?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
And I'm so glad that you came up here because
you came and guests co hosted one time. But like
I said, when I first was developing this show way
up with Angela Yee, you were one of the people
I had on my list as an entertainment analyst, entertainment expert,
all right, and also as the founder of pop Viewers.
And I think I even called you when I first started,
and I was like, we got to do this because
you're very great at talking about television, movies, music.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
All of those things, all the things. Where did that
love come from?

Speaker 1 (28:45):
You know, I grew up in this small town in Ohio,
and Ohio's listening right now, where we didn't have a
lot to do but watch TV, watched to be listening
to music. And I always dreamed of one day not
just covering content, but talking about how it gets made,
how it gets dreamlet and creating. You know, my company
is a dream chech. My company is called pop Viewers.
Just can downloads right now on the Apple App Store.

(29:05):
But I want to create a platform to really help
democratize the critic process in Hollywood, but also help build
a pipeline for data and analytics to help us, you know,
help Hollywood understand what to make next.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Right, because we discussed how like sometimes we look at
reviews and it'll say that a movie is you know,
gotten low score on Rotten Tomatoes, but we love it
and then we're like yeah, and we're like, why did
these why are these reviews?

Speaker 3 (29:29):
And sometimes I could turn people off from watching something.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Also, No, the review system in Hollywood is definitely broken
in many ways, but I think also the content creation
process they based a lot of it on reviews, but
a lot of it's just based on you know, instinct,
and they lost the studios and streamers lost fourteen billion
last year because they lack the key analytics and data
to really help them make data driven decisions. So we're helping,

(29:51):
really i think, inform the science of what to make next.
And we're bringing the viewers along with us.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
And this is something that actors and producers and directors
were really appreciate too.

Speaker 9 (30:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, we have Steve Harvey as a partner in our company,
along with Joy Read from MSNBC, and Yeah, our goal
was to bring on a couple other big name producers,
talent actors, and we just launched or locked in our
first pilot partnership with the major studio. I can't say
the name.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
It is a major film studio. Yes, major, and I
mean major, It's major.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
But you guys be sure to download the pop Ulers
app and just know that we're going to be having
screenings in person screenings starting next year for these films
and for these shows to really give you guys that
seat the table.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
But okay, let's talk about some things that you're watching
right now then. Okay, so since we're discussing, what are
some of your picks right now that we can watch
on streaming services?

Speaker 1 (30:45):
All right? I was watching this show The Crown, obviously,
the new season of The Crown, which is so good.
What was I watching on Netflix? Oh my god, I'm
blinking right now, but I was seeing I was watching
the Bravo show Martha's Vineyard with my friend Jasmine, who
was so amazing. It's a fear show. What are you
watching right now?

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Oh my gosh, you know Ninety Day Fiance. A new
episode was on last night.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
So I absolutely, for some reason love ninety Day Fiance.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
It's so good.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
And Gino and Jasmine. That is my favorite couple on here.
They are so out of control. I feel like they're
going to get their own spin off show, you know
what else? And I said this recently. The other day
I went back and rewatched all of Queen of the
South to kind of refresh myself on that. And then
a new movie that just came to Netflix. But it's
not a new movie, but it just came to Netflix,
ninety nine Buildings.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Did you see that?

Speaker 11 (31:29):
No?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
I didn't see that one.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Oh my gosh. It was heartbreaking.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
It was about this guy whose house gets foreclosed on, okay,
and then he ends up going to work for the
person that kicked him out of his house. But really,
like the guy's whole business that he went to go
work for was kicking people out of their homes and
taking it over from the bank and making money like that.
And imagine how heartbroke heartbreaking it is when you've lived
in a house your entire life, raised your children there,

(31:55):
and then the bank comes and takes it because you
haven't paid your mortgage because you can't find for the past.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Couple of months.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
So it was, you know, I got my real estate
licess I love watching real estate movies.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I'm ready few to have a real estate show at
some point. Okay, but I watched Tyler Perry's his documentary
on Prime that was so good. I cried so hard.
It's really a lether to his mom. It's called Maxine's Baby.
It's on Amazon Prime. We're on Prime Video. But also
I think with Tyler I just have a whole new
appreciation for his work ethic and how he he breaks
down the science around how he shoots things in like
thirteen days and writes, directs, produces all the things.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
I'm gonna watch that. I'm gonna watch it that later
this week. All right, Well, thank you Chris so much.
We're still guest hosting, but ask Ye is coming up,
So any advice that you want, I'm here, my guest host,
Chris Witherspoon is here with me today. Eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty What do you need help with?

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Call us up. He's also great at giving life advice.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
I mean, bring the tea, y'all, come on, bring the tea.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
It's the way up with Angela.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yee.

Speaker 5 (32:50):
It's relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts you should
This is as Kee.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
What's up its way?

Speaker 11 (32:57):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Put Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
I'm Angela Yee, and my guest host Chris with Aspoon
is here with me today, founder of pop Viewers, and
it's time for ask you. You guys get to ask
any question and we're here to help. Eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. Now today's carlor wants to
be anonymous.

Speaker 9 (33:11):
Hello, I'm kind of disguising my voice right now because
I want to remain as anonymous as possible.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Okay, that's fine. What's your question?

Speaker 8 (33:19):
So you know, I'm town between like these two chicks,
and I'm just trying to figure out how do I decide, like,
because you know, how do they see an expansion? When
you got old in one person?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Okay, true?

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Good thing matos out here he would have said, have
a threesome. All right?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Well, so tell me about both women, like how long
have you been with them? And are they forcing you
to choose or they don't? I guess they don't know
about each other. But are they like trying to lock in?
Do they both think that they're your girlfriend?

Speaker 11 (33:48):
Like?

Speaker 3 (33:48):
What's the situation?

Speaker 9 (33:49):
So the story gets even deep into that. So it's
the two chicks. And then there's a chick that think
I'm in jail right now, and she's spending money for
uh comments series stuff like that, and I'm you know,
I keep taking that money because she's sending it.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Where is she sending it too?

Speaker 8 (34:07):
So she thinks she's sending it to my brother so
he could put it on my books?

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Oh okay, but instead he's just giving it to you.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Yeah, so you don't even like her, you're just using.

Speaker 8 (34:19):
Her pretty much.

Speaker 9 (34:20):
I'm not really really worried about her.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
All right.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
So she's a non factor, but you gotta stop taking
Maybe you need to just cut it off with her.

Speaker 8 (34:27):
Yeah, really, I'm not really worri about all.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Right, So tell me about the other two that.

Speaker 8 (34:30):
Matter and who that matter? You know, both of them
very beautiful young lady.

Speaker 9 (34:35):
They say when you date, you're supposed to have multiple
options until you ready to become serious. And it's like,
I kind of want to be serious with both of them,
but that's unfair to one.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Of them, right, But is there one? Is there one
that brings out a better quality than you or brings
out the best and you elevates you to your next
level of game? If there is, I would choose that
person and that and.

Speaker 8 (34:57):
That's the thing. They kind of like the same person.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Why do you have to write now settle down?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Maybe because you haven't made a decision yet, maybe you
should just continue to be single until you make up
your mind. And unfortunately for you, that might mean one
of them decides to date other people too and find
somebody else that they like. But it feels like if
you don't have a decision and don't know what to choose,
maybe it's not time for you to choose. Maybe it's
time for you to because you don't have to be

(35:23):
locked in. I understand you're saying you want to be
in a relationship, but I don't think that you're necessarily ready.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
If you can't decide with who, Okay, that.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Makes I think whenever the conclusion comes to you, you'll
know you will have no doubt in your mind who
you should choose.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
It's going to be hard for you to be honest
because you're taking money and pretending to be in jail.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Can you be honest?

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Can you can you tell them the real real.

Speaker 9 (35:49):
I've pretty much shown them the whole thing about you know.
I was told when you date you're supposed to have you,
so I already told the next one.

Speaker 8 (36:00):
You know, at some point we all got to grow up.

Speaker 9 (36:02):
I do want to get married one day potentially, you know,
have us family and things like that.

Speaker 8 (36:07):
But I just don't.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
You're not there yet, sir, you're not. You can't just yeah,
if you're not there, you're just not there. You can't
force it.

Speaker 8 (36:15):
I don't want nobody to feel like they waited. They
time and me not.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Well, if you tell them the truth, then that's a
decision they're making, So it's never a waste of time,
do you.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Mammy asked me?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
How old are they and how old are you?

Speaker 1 (36:26):
What's your age?

Speaker 8 (36:27):
I feel like if I tell you that, my family listen.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
To this want to kill you.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
All right, Well, listen, you're not ready yet. It's okay.
You've been honest. So until you feel like you have
a distinctive decision to make and this is the one,
then it's not all right.

Speaker 9 (36:46):
I got you. I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
All right, Well, thank you for calling it and trusting
us and staying anonymous. All right, Well that was ask
ye eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. In
case you couldn't get through. You can always leave a
message and we will answer your question that way. And
when we I'm back, we have Lunelle joining us. She'll
be talking about her special on Netflix town Business and
talk about a whole lot of other things. And Lunelle

(37:09):
is very lip service friendly. Let's just say that it's
way up.

Speaker 6 (37:12):
Were about to do this? Yeah, y'all more way up
with now?

Speaker 3 (37:20):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
And for the first time on my own show, I
got Lunell here with me.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
What's up your now? Angela? Congratulations on everything.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Oh man, And I'm glad that I could say right
back to you, congratulations on absolutely everything. I saw you
at last time was at Dave Chappelle's birthday party. Ah.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Yes, and yeah we had a.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
Time time, but a time.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
You don't know when the night's gonna end.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
That is definitely for sure.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
But with you too, because you are out in these streets. Okay,
as we know, you got a new Netflix special out now.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
I have one criticism and it was too short.

Speaker 14 (38:01):
Yes, I have nothing to do with that. Okay, I
did what they said to do. They didn't pay me
like it was thirty minutes. I'll tell you that.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
No, I feel you on that.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Yeah, but the.

Speaker 14 (38:11):
Next one that I do will probably be an hour.
But I didn't have anything to do with that. I
thought it was gonna be out.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
The good thing is though, that you would rather people
be like that was too short?

Speaker 3 (38:21):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Then the last fifteen off, yeah, so make them one
for more.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Now, tell me about the night that you film. Because
Stave Chappelle is producing this. You are the second person.
My first he was Earthquake, and then you're a special
uh huh.

Speaker 14 (38:34):
And then he's gonna do Donnelle White. He just did
Donnelle Wallins and I think Tony Woods Maybe I don't know,
but I'm definitely the only female.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
So what I want to ask you what the experience
was like for because Donnah had to film his a
couple of times.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
How did it go for you when it came to you?

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Like?

Speaker 3 (38:51):
Was it a one time like Oakland?

Speaker 6 (38:53):
We did it?

Speaker 4 (38:54):
All?

Speaker 3 (38:54):
Right, this is good, let's go. What was the night like?

Speaker 2 (38:57):
How was it working with Netflix for the first time
doing special with them?

Speaker 14 (39:01):
Well, we filmed it twice. It was very exciting for
me because I've done specials before. You know, I did
a snoop dog backgir. It's gonna be funny. Women of
a certain age, I've done especially before, but I've never
had one done for.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
Me, Lunell.

Speaker 14 (39:13):
Yes, whether the trucks were there building stuff for me,
they were hanging curtains and my name was.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Up on the wall.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
You're watching this just to see me for me?

Speaker 14 (39:22):
Yeah, And that was very, very exciting. And of course
my daughter was there to see everything being built. And
actually Chappelle told her that he was getting me a special.
He still ain't told me it, and he never told me.
He told her that he was gonna get me a
special and.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
I knew, Lunell, what made Chappelle decide to do that?
How did that even happen? Because you have great relationships
with a lot of comedians.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
I feel like Chappelle, you kind of met even later
than like say a.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Cat Williams or Yes, for sure. So what made that happen?
Why was that something that was.

Speaker 14 (39:58):
You would have to ask Dave that I don't know
why you asked him. No, I don't care. We met
in Canada and I didn't even know he knew who
I was. And then we met here in New York.
When Eddie came to film Saturday Night Live. He seen
me coming down the hall. He was like, the Queen,

(40:19):
the Queen is here. I'm looking around for queen. I'm like,
is the Queen lie here?

Speaker 4 (40:24):
But he was talking about me.

Speaker 14 (40:25):
We took pictures and everything, and then I didn't see
him no more until during the runner when he built
that yes in Yellow Springs. Then I got summons. You
know when these big people, they they're like cat or whatever.
They summons you and then you drop everything. And we
went out to Yellow Springs and it was there when
I was on stage, he was watching me. He told

(40:46):
my daughter, I'm gonna get your He leaned over, told
I'm gonna get your money special. What light came on
in his head? I don't know what his process was.
I don't know, but I mean, I am one of
the best.

Speaker 10 (40:58):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Why not me?

Speaker 3 (40:59):
All right? Lounelle is here with us.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
We have more with her. And by the way, I
couldn't stop laughing talking to her. We could have went
on and on and on, but make sure you take
our town business.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
We'll discuss that more when we come back. It's way up, y'all.

Speaker 6 (41:12):
More way up with Angela on now what it is?

Speaker 3 (41:17):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I'm Angela Yee and Lunelle is here talking about her
Netflix special Town business. Do people ever say inappropriate things
to you because maybe they hear your stand up and
they feel like they can just approach you.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
They only say inappropriate.

Speaker 14 (41:31):
Things and anyway, okay, that's a problem with relationship. Don't
nobody come at me and be like healing out, you know,
I'd really like to take you out to dinner and
get to know you.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
Nobody says that.

Speaker 3 (41:43):
No one says that.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Nobody says that to me.

Speaker 8 (41:45):
They laugh.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
What that mouth do?

Speaker 8 (41:46):
Lounell?

Speaker 4 (41:47):
Oh my god like that.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
I'm sorry, unless, oh.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
I'm sort of over it. Like I would like to
go to dinner.

Speaker 14 (41:56):
I don't want everybody I meet, but my DMS is
nasty a f you have no heartbreaking Actually, look, Luke.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Newson wants to be winding. Diet ain't just about right,
you know.

Speaker 14 (42:12):
And I'm like, you know, we can get to that,
but can we go to the movies or something?

Speaker 3 (42:16):
What about? Have you ever tried online dating?

Speaker 14 (42:19):
I have not tried online dating, but I am involved
with a service right now, but it's very exclusive and
the men have to pay fifty thousand.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
Dollars fifty thousand dollars in the.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
Pool to meet.

Speaker 14 (42:34):
Hell yeah, because number one, I've been to ride with
the construction worker.

Speaker 4 (42:40):
I've been to the hard working I've done that all
my life.

Speaker 14 (42:44):
Okay, but at this point in my life, I need
to have somebody financially equally yoked with me. I need
to have somebody who can go on vacation more than
two weeks in August.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 14 (42:54):
I need to have somebody who can travel. And I
don't think there's too much to ask stage in my life.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
So you really are on the site and the guys
have to pay that. So have you met anyone yet
or are you.

Speaker 14 (43:08):
Okay? Because the guys really they really want yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
Stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
What do you want, like besides everything that you just said?

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Do looks madd looks madder right now I'm talking to Lunell.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Have you ever dated another comedian?

Speaker 4 (43:22):
No?

Speaker 3 (43:23):
Never, okay, not even a screw one.

Speaker 14 (43:27):
That wasn't dating, but he won the comedy competition here

never pay attention to what other people have to say.
