some yeat all right. Well, Cameron has definitely been trying
to shoot his shot at Nia Long. He was on
it is what it is and he talked about the

(05:29):
time that he d m her after her her ex email.
Udoka's cheating was publicized, so he said he's slid in
the d MS and one of his co hosts actually
read what was said in those d ms.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Here is stat reading.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
That together we can achieve the greatness we were both
destined for as a couple.

Speaker 7 (05:50):
Viva Viva. You've talked to different languages. That means we
have one life to live.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Parton my Friends.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Okay, Well he definitely tried. It was a long message.
Have you ever got like a nice DM like that?

Speaker 7 (06:14):
Yes? I did.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
That's how I'm wihuan with mast Okay, see it can work.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Unfortunately, Cameron did respond she still hasn't open my DM. Well,
I'm sure she'll see this, you know. Or what he
could do is schedule a sit down conversation similar to how.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
Jeezy did it. That'll work.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
I'm just trying to give advice here, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Sacy Santana has been added to Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,
so people will start seeing him on there in January
of twenty twenty four. That could be a really big
deal too. First of all, Sacy has a really funny personality.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
Yes he does.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I love him, and I think that means you could
picture seeing like maybe a young Miami on there. Since
they're such good friends and the people he's with, and
he's very open about his relationships. He just went through
a breakup, but it looks like he is not sitting
home crying about it. Okay, but uh yeah, that's going
to be interesting to see though, because he also was

(07:08):
dating Zelswag, who is on that show as well. All right, now,
let's get into Nicki Jam. He said he dropped one
hundred and ten pounds. He had the weight loss surgery,
and so he opened up about his health journey, his
new healthy lifestyle. He talked to people and said he
had gas to bypass surgery six months ago after struggling.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
With his weight for years.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
He said, the reality is I've been fighting with my
weight my whole life because this is an industry where
you have to be in shape, you have to do movies,
you have to do videos.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
So shout out to Nicki Jam.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Well, you gotta do what works for you.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, And it is about having a healthier lifestyle after that,
because you can't just drop the weight and then continue
to do whatever it is that you were doing prior
to that. All right, now, Daddy Yankee is saying that
he is officially retiring from Reggaetone to devote his life
to his religious faith. He ended his farewell to a
La Meta in his homeland of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico,

(08:06):
and he made the announcement and a very lengthy speech.
We would play it, but it is definitely in Spanish.
I actually know Spanish pretty well.

Speaker 7 (08:15):
Yeah, well I know ebonics.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Okay, I've noticed, but yes, we'll miss Daddy Yankee. Daddy
Yankee is one of my favorite reggaetone artists and so yeah,
I like him, Yeah I do too. He's had some
major hits that are not just you know that goes everywhere,
like mainstream worldwide. All right, well, when we come back,

Speaker 9 (09:23):

Speaker 2 (09:24):
And I had a meeting at Diagio. By the way,
their office is amazing.

Speaker 5 (09:28):
That sound like a good time.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Actually, Diagio has a lot of over one hundred and
eighty spirits brands under them. You know that includes like
Don Julio, Casamigo's, Bailey's Kettle One, just a lot of
different everything really favorites. Yeah, yeah, things I really enjoyed
on a regular basis. So I was there. They also
have this prong Horn initiative that helps black owned spirits brands.

(09:51):
Oh beautiful, and so they do a lot for that
whole initiative. But anyway, then I came and met up
with y'all.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yes out to eat.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Now, it was Jasmin's birthday, so it only made sense
to go to Jasmine's. Yes, and it was my first
time at Jasmine. It's a Caribbean restaurant. Food was amazing.

Speaker 7 (10:09):
Yep, you was the photographer.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah, I got some good pictures videos.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Then we went down the block to Samir that's the
bar lounge, more upscale French Caribbean cuisine restaurant that they own.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
After party.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, and we had a little after party in there.
We had a good time. Yes, we had some shots
to celebrate Jasmine's birthday.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Then we went home. Yeah, and I fell.

Speaker 2 (10:32):

but Jasmine was up. I was up and Jasmine was
up and she was wrapping. Yes, and she was freestylling.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
I had that perfume in my hand and that was
my microphone, and I was I was nor from my city.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I'm saying, yeah, but not only were you rapping with
a bottle of perfumesses your mike, you also claim that
you make crystal math. Yes, like you wanted to perform. Well,
I know, I just don't remember.

Speaker 3 (11:12):

Speaker 5 (11:13):
I was a rapper.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
I was talking about selling drugs that I've never sold,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
And yeah, I know I could tell by the way
you were doing it you didn't know how to make
crystal math.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Yeah, and I was like, she watches Breaking Bad.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Clearly I loved that show.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
But we had a good time, and then today we
were a bit sluggish.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
You know.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
It was a very low key birthday, but it was
lit though, it was real, and that's.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
How it should be. We had a fun time, so
that was our about last night.

Speaker 5 (11:39):

Speaker 9 (13:20):
Just one time?

Speaker 7 (13:23):

Speaker 5 (13:23):
So you got a lot of fetishi.

Speaker 2 (13:24):

do this? Or did you ask her to do it?

Speaker 10 (13:29):
I asked her?

Speaker 6 (13:32):
I have a technical question. Does she face you when
she's doing it or is it like a reverse.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
A reverse.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Reverse?

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Did you pay her?

Speaker 10 (13:43):

Speaker 12 (13:58):
For about twenty years, I lite about my credential and
my career.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Hmmm.

Speaker 12 (14:05):
I don't have a high school diploma nor a degree,
but I have advanced in my career.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
You know what, I always felt like people don't really
check that you can say anything, and you've been doing
well in your career, so you know that.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Don't let nothing stop you, and don't you ever tell
that secret to them? And that's alwayth thank.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
You, I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Yeah, what field and what fields of work are?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
You?

Speaker 7 (14:30):
Don't even ask?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I'm not weird, but like what fields?

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Health?

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Okay? All right?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
So it's some things that would require you to have
a degree or delivered maybes or nothing?

Speaker 9 (14:45):
Are you doctor?

Speaker 12 (14:50):
Maybe quir that I have a degree.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Obviously you're good at your job.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
You think you would ever go and try to like
get that degree on the side just to have it
or it don't even matter.

Speaker 12 (15:00):
Girl, I'm at my I'm ready to be okay.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
All right, fair enough, Well, thank you for sharing, no judgment.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
At all, thank you.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
All right.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifteen. In case you couldn't get through,
we can still play your secret during last Word, and
when we come back, we have your Yet, let's discuss
Jonathan Majors. His ex girlfriend has testified. You know, he's
being charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment, and we'll tell
you what she had to say.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
It's way you put Angela yee ye.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
T is next, they says, the rooms.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
From industry shade to all of gossip out. Angela's speeling
that EyeT.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
That's the way you put Angela yee. I'm Angela yee
And Keela is here right, Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
That's not just any brand on my own brand.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
The Jasmine brand dot com.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
And now we're doing some Yet, let's get into this
whole Jonathan Major's trial. I'm watching what's happening live. Grace Jabari,
the woman who's accused him of attacking her in March.
She did take the stand in the trial yesterday. She
was the second witness to testify in the case, and
her testimony is continuing today and so far, she's talked
about meeting him on this set of ant Man, how

(16:15):
they started a whirlwind romance. She said that he told
her he loved her early on in the relationship, but
she's accusing him of slapping her, throwing her into the
car after she exited it, twisting her arm, and grabbing
and injuring her hand. Prosecutors did say she was treated
at a hospital for minor injuries to her head and neck,
which included a cut to her air.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
And he is pleading not guilty to the charges.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
He's also being supported in court, as we know by
Megan Good and so opening statements were on Monday. She
also talked about going to a party, because remember there
was the pictures of her at a party after the
fight happened. She said that she decided to attend a
stranger's birthday bash instead of returning home to the apartment
she shared with him. After he allegedly struck her in

(16:58):
that cab, she said, I did it. I want to
be alone at that point, I was just trying to
suppress the sadness I felt sad so deeply in my heart.
But I was also really grateful for these three people
who had saved me. She said she bought her three
new friends a bottla champagne as a thank you, and
also dance. These were people who, she says, came to
her aid after her alleged physical altercation.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
Interesting, So I guess their argument is, if you were
so devastating in her, why'd you go to this party afterwards?

Speaker 12 (17:23):
Right?

Speaker 5 (17:23):
Gotcha?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
And she talked about returning home the night of the
alleged assaw, she's actually talking about that today. She said
the pain still wasn't registering, and she said her experience
as a dancer has tore her to withstampagne, and she
said it was a full bodied experience of shocks. She
said her finger had changed color and was kind of red,
and she was aware that something was not right.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
And she also talked.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
About how he demanded total compliance from her and allegedly
told her that she needs to live it to the
standards of Coreta Scott King and Martin Luther King's wife
and Michelle Obama. And according to prosecutors, he once told
her I'm a great man, a great man, and demand
did that total compliance all right, so.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
He used some interesting examples. We love those black women. Yeah,
that wasn't bad, but I'll get the other parts.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
All right. So if convicted, he's facing up to a year.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
But it's bad.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah, he's pleading not guilty. But you know the implications
on his career.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Yes, that's bad.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
It's pretty bad. Here already did lose a certain deals.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
Let's see, let's see if he did it all right.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Now, let's discuss Erica Banks.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
She said she got a second round of her BBL
done and said that she looks good for real now
and yeah she said BBL round two ain't no, but
the body is.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Even more Okay, happened. That's a lot to go through
twice twice.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Yeah, I feel like it's a short amount of time too.

Speaker 7 (18:44):
M hmm.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
All right, And the British Williams is asking a judge
delay sentencing so that she can spend Christmas with her daughter.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
She sent the judge a motion for a delay.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
You know, she was sentenced to four years in prison
after pleading guilty to fifteen felony for a charge that
she is scheduled to be sentenced next week, December eleventh,
but she's hoping to be able to at least spend
Christmas with her five year old, and they said her
daughter needs a little bit of time to deal with
the transitions.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
It makes me sad. Angela.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Yes, they're trying to get the verdict overturned in a
higher court. I really feel strongly about nonviolent, you know,
crimes you have been go behind, you know, go to jail.
I feel like, if it's non violent, I'm not saying
you shouldn't not.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
That's just a first time offender.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
That makes me sad. I'm not saying what she did.
It just makes me sad.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
All right, well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying
under the radar. But now let's get into some dance
Shampa temperature.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
It's way up.

Speaker 10 (19:42):
News.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
It's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm Angela, yee. Jasmine
brand is here.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
I'm here selling us here. Sill up, and let's get
these under the radar stories going.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
Now.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
They have introduced a bill to end solitary confus and
federal institutions. And this is a bill that is a
companion to a measure introduced by House Democrats that but
limit placing federal inmates and detainees and segregation except under
certain guidelines. It's the End Solitary Confinement Act, all right,

(20:16):
and so it's similar to a bill, the House Bill.
Incarcerated people would also be entitled to at least fourteen
hours of daily time out of their cells, including access
to seven hours of programming meant to address topics such
as mental health, substance abuse, and violence prevention.

Speaker 5 (20:32):
Okay, interesting, it really sounds in humane.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
To be in solitary confinement right mentally. Can you imagine
what that would do to somebody, you know? So all
right now, lawmakers, by the way, are also scrutinizing Sheen
fast fashion what I call it, because you know, they
file for an IPO and they need proof that they
don't use forced labor after they filed for that IPO.

(20:59):
So now the one congressman is even threatening to pursue
legislation to bar them from trading if the United States
Securities and Exchange Commission doesn't reject its application. So they
want to make sure because there's these allegations of forced
labor and exploiting US trade laws. And in the meantime,
speaking machine, Amazon is targeting machine. They have big fee

(21:20):
cuts for cheap apparel sellers. So Amazon did announce yesterday
they would reduce seller fees on clothing products priced below
fifteen dollars to five percent starting in January, and the
rates on clothing price from fifteen to twenty dollars will
drop to ten percent. The commissions previously have been seventeen percent.
That's a big difference.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Yeah, I will say Amazon clothes a little expensive. Sometimes
they get a little pricey.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
See, I don't know, I just shop at It's a
bad fashion, it's complay.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
But you know what, thinking about those fees, they probably
have to sell stuff for more because the sellers have
to pay those fees seventeen percent to Amazon. So with
that dropping lower for cheaper clothing, that makes them able
to to then pass those savings on.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
To the consumer to the consumer, So it makes sense,
all right.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
And there are some paintings, you know, Art Basil is
happening right now in Miami, and there are some paintings
that are being made by chimps that are selling for
as much as ten thousand dollars at art Basil and
so uh that's some of.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Them look pretty good.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
Angel Yah, you love art.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I do love artwork, But ten thousand dollars are they?

Speaker 5 (22:26):
Are you saying you don't have artwork for ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
I'm saying I would want a person to do it.
But these are our rescued chimps. This picture we look
at Chimp Sanctuary. Yeah, is this the picture the chimp did?

Speaker 7 (22:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Okay, they're pretty talented. All right, Well that is you're
under the radar. And we got the way Up mixed
coming at the top of the hour. Plus it is
a Wealth Wednesday, So latter's Galloway is going to be
joining us and we're going to be talking about childcare
here in the United States and what she is doing
to make sure that there's more access for people to
get affordable and not just affordable, but great childcare because

(22:58):
that's important, super import And it's way up with Angela
Yee's like.

Speaker 13 (23:02):
The talk like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jee.

Speaker 9 (23:06):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I'm Angela, yee Tella is here, big h and I'm
Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
It's not just any brand, my own brand.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
It's all about balanced gods and having green juice and
a Krispy Kreme dumb not Okay, let's get into some
yeaty and three thousand reveals that he did have a
different title for his album. His album is called New
Blue Sun, but previously it was going to be called
Everything is Too Loud, he said, but then he felt
like it was just a negative title and he didn't
want to put negative energy out.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
I like everything it's too loud. I like that at
the time.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Well that's your negative energy, ma'am. All right, ma'am. Okay.
You know people be like I hate everything. Everything is
too loud. It's terrible. So I understand what he's trying
to say. So New Blue Son it is.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Have you Have you listened to it? Yeah, Angela, I've.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Only I've listened to probably like two songs.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
On you listened to it?

Speaker 7 (24:01):
No?

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Okay, okay? Have you?

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Okay, all right, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Yogatti is going back to school to study business at
UCLA Anderson School of Management, and you know the course
is going to explore analytical tools relevant to valuing projects, corporations, IPOs,
mergers and acquisitions, private firms, and debts. I'm a big
fan of going to school and taking classes for.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
Things test studying. That's right up your alley.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
I don't enjoy that part of it, but I do
think that educating yourself on things to be smarter, better,
just more well rounded is important keep you lively. Yeah,
And I'll say if you do certain things like he
is a business owner, and so for him to go
to school to study business to help him be better
at his business, I think it makes sense, all right.

Speaker 12 (24:49):
NBA.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Young Boy is responding to Gilly the Kids, saying that
he and little Dirk talk regularly. We never thought we
see this day come, and apparently the two of them
may even work together.

Speaker 7 (25:00):
Good.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I love o g I talked to Dirk like every
two three nights, man ed, he's trying to talk to
me about my music, and he focused on a billion
dollars right now?

Speaker 3 (25:10):
All right.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
In addition to that, you know, we saw and when
I saw little Dirk first like kind of saying some
stuff to when I saw young boy saying stuff to
a little dirt, No, a little Dirk saying stuff to
young boy. I didn't know the full story, so I
thought it was like an issue. My little Dirk said,
you lied about sending the address seven times when I
asked him fin to grab my coat one more time
send the address.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
You could read that one of two ways. You don't
know the backs.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
But apparently they are going to hook up and do
some stuff. Here's what young boy said.

Speaker 9 (25:38):
Bro, Bro, my po got to prove you he don't
work like that. He's gonna the jail.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
I understand that. Some concern.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
All right, Now here's some breaking news.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Diddy has been accused of gang rape of a seventeen
year old. There is a new lawsuit now. Rolling Stone
is reporting on this. It says Sean Combs, his longtime
lieutenant Harpierre, and a third unidentified man allegedly gang raped
a seventeen year old girl inside of his recording studio
in Manhattan in two thousand and three, after the high

(26:11):
school student was trafficked across state lines and applied with
a certain amount of drugs and alcohol. According to this
new lawsuit that was filed today, she is the fourth
woman to accuse him of sexual assault in the last
three weeks.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
She alleged she was out with a friend at a
lounge in the.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Detroit area two decades ago, when harp Pierre singled her out,
complimented her appearance, and sisted he was best friends with
Diddy and purportedly told her that he would love to
meet her and called him on his phone so that
they could invite her personally on an impromptu trip to
New York aboard a private jets.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
When it rains, it pours.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
And this was in Rolling Stone. Oohesh serious, yet another lawsuit?
Oh my gosh, guys, All right, well that is your
yee yeah, it's definitely a lot.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
And when we come back, since you know Cella is here,
I mean.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
How do you transition to this?

Speaker 3 (27:04):
I know, I don't even know what we're supposed to do,
but you know, we'll discuss. It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Yee yeah, y'all way up with Angelae.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
On now, it's way up with Angela. Yee Angela yee.
Chella is here. Jasmine went to go get some plates
for us. We were just talking about this breaking news
about Diddy. He's being accused of yet another incident and
this was in Rolling Stone.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
According to rolling Stone.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
He's now being accused allegedly of he, along with two
other men, gang raping a seventeen year old girl inside
of his recording studio in Manhattan in two thousand and three. Now,
Jasmine Cella, I know a lot of times people hear
these stories and like, why did they wait twenty years
to say something?

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Guy?

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Hear people say that all the time.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
With Cassie, I heard people saying that, and sometimes people
don't believe that things are true. But I always like
to point out that there's a lot of women who
will never say anything at all.

Speaker 10 (28:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Right, And when we did lip service the other day,
we were talking to Cameleon. She's an artist and she's
also a star of rap Ish and she talked about
an incident. She didn't even name names, and sometimes it's
hard to do that, but here's what she said.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
Music is that.

Speaker 13 (28:19):
I remember when I first got into and he invited
me down to like the studio to listen to this
record in the middle.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
Of planning to rank it Pulls. I. He was like,
do what you do?

Speaker 13 (28:31):
And I was flustered, and I was like, if I
say the wrong thing, like will I be like black Ball?
You know?

Speaker 2 (28:38):
And She never has told that story or revealed who
the person is, but she said she laughed, didn't do it,
and after that he was always respectful to her, made
sure that she got paid what she was supposed to
get paid.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
You know, fortunately for her it didn't go a different way.
But things like that, you know, for something like that,
she could have at that time, I'm try to press charges,
and sometimes when other people have so much power, you
don't feel like you can do anything.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
It's intimidating. Yeah, and it's embarrassing, it's scary.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
It's not something that's easy for people to come forward
and even say right, because nobody wants to be that
person that accused. And to be clear, it's also not
a given that even if something did happen, that the
person will be found guilty, because if there's nobody in
the room but the two of you, you might feel
like I'm gonna go out here, put myself out on
the limb and say this, and.

Speaker 7 (29:29):
Then some people ain't going to work with me.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Yeah, and no one's gonna believe me, and now I'm
a liar.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
You know, if in case in court it doesn't happen
because one thing, guys always say is women falsely accused?
And I think they said it's like three to five
percent of instances are that, but there's so many more
women that are never gonna speak out at all or
say anything.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Yeah, it takes a lot of courage too, for sure.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
So I just want to make sure that when people
talk about these stories, and even for some people who
are listening now that may have had instances that happen
to them and feel like, well the time passed, I
didn't talk about it at that time, you know, should
I bring it up?

Speaker 3 (30:05):
This person has so much.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Power where I get black ball, there's a lot of
questions and no one can tell you what you need
to do for yourself or what.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Your situation is.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yep, all right, I just wanted to put that out
there since that is another breaking story in Rolling Stone.
All right, Well, when we come back, we have asked
ye eight D two nine two fifty one fifty is
a number.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Call us up. Anything you want to ask. We are
here to help. It's way up, whether.

Speaker 9 (30:27):
It's relationship with career advice, Angela's dropping.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Facts as it's way you put Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee,
and Jasmine Brand is here yes, I'm.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
Not just any brand.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
I'm my own.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Brand aka Sexy Pink.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Okay, when she's feeling spicy, Tella h is here yep.
And you know, before we get in to ask ye,
I just want to read.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Ditty's statement to Rolling Stone.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Rolling Stone put out a story that it's a fourth
sexual assault lawsuit now and and by the way, samettorneys
that settle Cassie's case so quickly.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Oh all right, Well, his statement says, enough is enough.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently
and watch people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation,
and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me
by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be
absolutely clear. I did not do any of the any
of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for
my name, my family, and for the truth.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Sean Diedycombs.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
So that is his statement.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Now, the comments are awful on that post tool Instagram.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
I'm quite sure they are.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
He put it on Instagram and took turn the comments off.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
And there's a picture of the accuser her face.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
There's a you know something over her face, so you
can't see who it is. They put like a circle
around her face so you can just see she's sitting
on his lap. So when people are asking about like evidence,
you know, I don't know, but she has pictures where
you can see she's in the studio the accuser. Okay,
all right, well now let's get into some app ask you.

(32:00):
We have a voicemail and this was when we felt
like would be a good question for you. Jasmine, here
it is.

Speaker 14 (32:05):
Okay, my daughter is thirteen years old and she's been
getting in trouble at her school. A lot, long story short,
my mom whooped her her and her husband whooped her,
which is not her grandfather, and put it in So
now she has whips on her arms, and you know,
she said it was blood or something splashed on the
world or something like that, and they whooped her in

(32:26):
her sleep and then wake her up. So I wanted
advice to ask you what should I do about their situation.

Speaker 7 (32:32):
Oh that's tough.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
I mean weaping where its blood and welts and marks
on her arm. But it's her grand it's the child's
grandmother hit her mom.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah, and I guess the step step grandpa.

Speaker 7 (32:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Yeah, So Jason, you have a two year old.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
I do have a two year old, and you.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Do have help from both your mom and from uh huh,
your significant you know.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Your partners.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Yeah, my baby daddy, Yeah, baby daddy's about about bout.
So I wanted to ask you what your thoughts are
the song. I wanted to ask you what your thoughts
are as far as like your child getting whipped.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
You know, I don't.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
I don't mind a little pop here and there. And
it's a it's a big age gap. She's saying, thirteen,
my child is too. I do, And I told her
grandmother like, if she doesn't, you need to pop her.
I'm but I also I'm with a gentle parenting too.
But I feel like if someone is taking care of
your child, I feel like they should be able to
discipline them. And you, you, you set the parameters. I
think thirteen might be a little old to be getting whooped.

(33:28):
I don't know's on what they do.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Yeah too, because it's like, what does she do the
blood that's too much?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
I think, Yeah, I mean a harsh whooping. I think
there's a line of like a borderline of like that
abuse or disciplinary if there's like blood and marks and well,
that's a lot being waken up and now you know
that that's gonna make a kid be good.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
That's a traumatic.

Speaker 7 (33:52):
It's like what time was she sleep time?

Speaker 5 (33:55):
Why was she asleep?

Speaker 7 (33:56):
Yeah? Like what going on?

Speaker 3 (33:58):
All right?

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Well, that is asking and we would love for you
guys to weigh in on that as well. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty. You can leave a
message for last word. It's also a Wealth Wednesday. And
laterrece Galloway is going to be joining us. And interestingly enough,
she's known as the Childcare Chick and she started a
childcare center and now she's talking about franchising and her
model is really amazing. But we talk about childcare and

(34:22):
we talk about who is watching your kids is so important.
So we'll be talking to her. But in the meantime, Jasmine,
it's still your birthday. You want to buy you a drink? Okay,
it's way up.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Got a dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
This is wealth Wednesday. On way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Its way up with Angela Yee. I Angela Yee and
my wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Partner Stacey Tisdale is here.

Speaker 11 (34:47):
We have Latrice Galloway who has Kidsville Learning Academy. She's
a founder and CEO that's in Texas. She's gross nearly
twenty million dollars over sixteen years. You were born and
raised in San Antonio, and you actually set out to
be an attorney, but like many parents, you couldn't find
a facility that you thought was up to quality and

(35:08):
cost for your son. And then you had an Aha moment,
and six months later you had Kidsville.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Yep, it was born. That's exactly pretty much how it happened.
It happened really quick.

Speaker 15 (35:19):
But I tell people all the time, I was just
a mom looking for childcare. This was not something that
I thought I would get into. It was just no
quality centers out there that were affordable. I was looking
for affordable and quality.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
So can you talk to me about starting your first
daycare center?

Speaker 3 (35:35):
So?

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, So once I had the idea in the aha moment,
I started looking for a building and I found this
building for lease. So went home, talked to my husband
about it, rented the building, turned it into a childcare center.

Speaker 15 (35:47):
And again, when you say it's not easy, if you
don't know. I was the first business owner in my family.
I didn't have a mentor, so I just did it
on my own. What I thought was gonna take me
two months took me six months to get the building
up to code and get open. And once I got
opened and got licensed, the community really needed what I
had to offer and the children just start coming in.

(36:07):
But again, like you said, it's a lot of liability.
So I always tell people you have to be ready
for the business side. It's a lot of liability. You're
managing staff. Parents are leaving you with their most prize
possession every single day, right, So it comes a lot
of liability with that. But once I got in it
and got in the groove and started building that business
and I got a downpack, it's been great.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
How were you able to finance this and then to
be able to scale? What type of investmentsage you get?
Did you use out of pocket funds?

Speaker 15 (36:32):
So my first center, I used out of pocket funds
because I was leasing are built and so me and
my husband kind of broke the bank.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
When I told them about it, I was like, if
we break the bank and.

Speaker 15 (36:41):
Use all of our savings, I'm gonna make this work,
and so that's what we did. Now when my lease
was up, this is when I knew that I had
to leave this building because it was falling apart.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
My landlord wouldn't you know, really help me.

Speaker 15 (36:53):
And I had the idea to build a building, but
I was twenty eight years old. I was like, no
one's going to give me this kind of money.

Speaker 7 (36:58):
Well, I was wrong.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
So that's where I got with a local.

Speaker 15 (37:02):
Bank and they lent me the money to build this
school that I have now, which is over fifteen thousand
square feet that I built from the ground up.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
It's we Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Stacy Tisdall is here and our guest Lateresa Galloway, the
founder of Kidsville Learning Academy, and she is also the
founder of the Childcare Check.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Let's unpack that a little bit.

Speaker 11 (37:20):
Local community bank and you were building something that was
such an important service to the community. Talk about that
played a role in you're getting that it was two
million dollars.

Speaker 15 (37:29):
Yes, I think it played a very important role because
when you're dealing with local banks, they know what's going
on in the community, they know what's being built, what
the next ten years is going to look like, and
so they saw what I had done.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
I had everything in order.

Speaker 15 (37:44):
They saw the paperwork that I had, they saw my numbers,
they saw my business structure, and they knew that if
they lent me this money, I would be able to
impact so many more families and children in the community.
And so I think that played a big role in it.
People like to go to the bigger banks. They don't
know what's going on near your community.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
And I'm sure they looked at your background too, because
even though this wasn't what you initially intended to do,
your background actually did help you with being able to
create this business.

Speaker 15 (38:11):
And so I think what, like I said, by having
my paperwork and everything in order, when I sat at
the table and they were able to look at it
and they looked at me and said, Wow, you've done
this in four years, that's when they were like, we're
going to get behind this because whatever you're doing, you're
doing it right.

Speaker 11 (38:26):
Talk about how important it was when you got this
loan that you had your paperwork in order, and how
what should entrepreneurs do who are trying to get that investment.

Speaker 15 (38:35):
That was the first thing they looked at. To be honest,
they didn't care about nothing else. Let's see what you've done.
So having pretty much tax returns in order had my
business structured right, get you a good CPA. I didn't
know that the first few years that can really help
you keep your documentations in order show them your growth.
I was able to show them where I started and
every single year how my business had just grew, and

(38:58):
how you know I exceeded the number that I thought,
and how I had to get a second building next
door to be able.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
To house more children.

Speaker 15 (39:05):
And so having all that documentation when I went to
the table really helped. Literally when I left the first day,
they said, we're gonna give you this money. Another important
thing is your credit. You want to make sure your
credit is together too.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
All right, we have more with Latrice Galloway, the childcare Chick.
When we come back, Stacey Tisdial is here. It's a
Wealth Wednesday premium politically.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Wealthy and I don't mind sharing my wealth dogs getting
you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth Wednesday
on way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
What's up? Its way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Stacy Tisdale is joining me for Wealth Wednesday and our
guest today is the founder of Kidsville Learning Academy, and
she is also the founder of the Childcare Tick.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
We have Latrice.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Galloway, and now let's discuss franchising as a business model,
because that's something that's fascinating to me. So can you
talk to me about your whole idea about franchising and
opening more centers?

Speaker 3 (39:58):
And sure.

Speaker 15 (39:59):
So people always think that because I have this large,
successful location, that I want to own twenty of them,
and I personally do not want to own twenty you know,
kids bills, but I also want to give other people
the opportunity to use my.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Blueprint to win in this industry.

Speaker 15 (40:16):
So that's when I decided to say, you know what,
I'm gonna franchise. So for me, that's the next step
into having are locations. I would love to see them
all over and just kind of go in there and
put my stamp on it. But that's another stream of
income that I don't actually have to be there. I
have so many other avenues and ways that I make
money and different business ventures that I don't want to

(40:38):
be tied.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
To having to be in my center.

Speaker 15 (40:41):
And so the one that I have now runs like
clockwork without me.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
It's with Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Stacy Tisdal is here and our guest Latersa Galloway, the
founder of Kidsville Learning Academy, and she is also the
founder of the Childcare Check.

Speaker 11 (40:55):
How can people learn about your entrepreneurial skills and get
mentored for me?

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Okay? So I have a community called the Childcare Clique.

Speaker 15 (41:03):
I started that community because when I started in the
childcare industry, again I told you, I had no mentorship,
no one I could call. I just figured it out,
made a lot of mistakes, and I wanted people that
wanted to get in this industry to now have to
make all those mistakes. So I started this community, and
right now we have hundreds of women in this community
where we have monthly classes on all kinds of topics, mentorship,

(41:24):
we have events, we have meetups, and just a community
of women where you can come to when you need
some assistance. So, are you going through something in your program?
I can't call my friend and tell her what.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
I'm going through. She doesn't know what I'm going through
in childcare.

Speaker 15 (41:36):
But they can come in this community and get mentorship.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
And then that trickled over into my conference.

Speaker 15 (41:42):
I'm born to teach conference that I'm having next July,
which is going to be the biggest ECE, which is
Early Childhood Education Conference for directors, owners, teachers, curriculum coordinators,
anyone in this industry that will be able to come
and just learn, get strategies and just have that and
work it out. Yep, want to check it out. And

(42:03):
so I have that coming up in July, so people
could attend there. And I also have mentorship programs if
you need that more one on one where you don't
necessarily say, hey, I love the community, but I need
one on one. I have that option available and I
do a lot of one on one mentoring. I travel
to their their centers wherever they are other states, they
travel to me.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
So I have those options available too.

Speaker 11 (42:24):
And not I'm gonna tell everybody it's the Childcare Chick dot.

Speaker 15 (42:27):
Com www dot the Childcarechick dot com. You can find
out about cic.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
H I c.

Speaker 15 (42:34):
Okay okay, okay okay, and then you can find out
about the community there. You can find out about Born
to Teach there, you can follow me on social media.
I have born to Teach dot com, the Childcare Click,
and the Childcare Chick.

Speaker 11 (42:47):
You are such an incredible success story the entrepreneur. You what,
give me some general advice for entrepreneurs.

Speaker 15 (42:53):
So the first advice and I say, this sounds so cliche.
It's okay to cry.

Speaker 9 (42:59):
You know.

Speaker 15 (43:00):
People say, oh, I want to be successful, I want
to do this, but do you really believe you can
do it?

Speaker 3 (43:05):
And I don't think I can do that? Yes you can.
I tell people I'm regular. I did not.

Speaker 15 (43:10):
I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth.
No one in my family was an entrepreneur. But I
believed in myself and nothing was going to stop me.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
I knew that I can do it. It's a mindset thing.

Speaker 15 (43:20):
People have to change their mindset to know whatever I
put my mind to, I can have it.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
And sometimes yeah you're gonna cry.

Speaker 15 (43:27):
You can cry, you cry, but you get back up
and dust yourself off.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
In business, we talk ourselves down, We talk ourselves out
of things.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
We come up with excuses of why this can't work,
this won't work. Well if I try this, this can't happen,
instead of saying okay, how can I find a way.
And also mentorship, you know that helps you also believe
in yourself. That's all even more to know that you
can do something if you can get some type of
mentorship from somebody who's been there, who's done it, who has.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Some sort of blueprint for you to follow. I agree,
I agree, but that was amazing inspiring. I love it.
But again, what's the website.

Speaker 15 (44:02):
It's www dot the childcare check dot com.

Speaker 11 (44:06):
Okay, we're gonna put all your information in our entrepreneurs group.
That's Wealth Wednesdays for entrepreneurs. It's a free Facebook group.
Everybody join it. You'll get all this.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
Thank you so much, Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 15 (44:19):
Thank you so much. I appreciate it so much. And
now I hope we get some quality childcare centers all over.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
