Cast sat down together for Instagram's Close Friends Only special
edition podcast, and Ice Spice talked about her first crush.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Here's what she said, who was your first ever celebrity crush.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
I'm just gonna say it was Usher.
Speaker 8 (04:34):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
I saw him at the Macallan. I was like, for
the first time I ever seen him.
Speaker 9 (04:38):
I'm like, oh my.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
God, it's him.
Speaker 10 (04:40):
He's beautiful, gorgeous man.
Speaker 11 (04:46):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
They talked about a lot of different things too, and
as you know they are, they have been on tour,
so you know, shout out to Dojah Kid. I was
looking at some of her videos from her performances and everything,
so shout out to those two ladies. All right, the
fifty Best Albums of twenty twenty three. Speaking of Ice Spice,
and this is according to Billboard, her album made the
(05:06):
list of the fifty best albums. It was number eighteen
on the list. All Right, y'all want to know some
other albums that made the list. Drake was number fifty
for All the Dogs, so he just made the fifty
best albums list. Sexy Red Hood had His Princess is
number forty, Debido's number thirty nine, Pink Panther Rest is
number thirty eight, Brad Fayes is number thirty seven. Killer
(05:30):
Mike made the list at number thirty six, Janew Money
thirty five, Gunna A Gift and a Curse at number
thirty three. Travis Scott is number twenty one on the list,
and it goes on from there. But you know, shout
out to everybody that made the list. And these are
all subjective too. What do you think is one of
the best albums of the year. Victoria Monette was number five.
I just want to put that out there. She had
(05:50):
an amazing album, so I for sure agree with that.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Sizza.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I'm trying to see where is Sizza on this list
because her album came out.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Did it come out this year?
Speaker 8 (05:59):
Right?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
It did?
Speaker 8 (06:01):
All right?
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Doja Cat was number seven? Little YACHTI was number eight.
Number one on the list. That was Olivia Rodrigo Guts Yeah.
I have to be honest here, I don't really know
Olivia Rodrigo songs.
Speaker 11 (06:14):
All right?
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Oh yeah. Cism came out in December of twenty twenty two.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Because I was like, there's no way that's not like
up there in the top all right now. Sauce Waka
got arrested after he led Houston police on a high
speed chase and crashed his vehicle. He crashed yesterday morning.
He is facing charges of evading arrest or detention. After
he reached speeds of one hundred and thirty miles an
hour for over two miles trying to dodge the police.
(06:39):
So not sure what made him, you know, do this
high speed chase, but.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
It was probably half Why would you just say, I mean,
you know he used to do that out there? Why
you say this, Ain Tyler?
Speaker 2 (06:52):
All right, well, we have no idea what happened. But yeah, allegedly, yeah,
we don't know that. Well it doesn't say why.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
I said it properly, you just made that up.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Well, usually when people just do crazy stuff, some be off.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Right or maybe yeah, if you're from the police, you know,
sometimes people might think there's a reason why.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Maybe there's one. You never know.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
All right, well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night. We want to
hear about your dreams last night, Tella, because you were asleep. Yes,
it's way up at Angela yee. About last night? Is
next last night?
Speaker 1 (07:24):
So about last night? Last night? Last night, I went down.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
It's way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee. My
girl Tella is here with me.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's your girl, Tella.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
H And I was saying last night we did not
do much because the night before that we were outside
jas we was here, it was her birthday. We did
a lot. She overdid it, and all you kept saying
was I need a nap.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
I just need a nap.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
And I was like, all right, we can go out,
we and go do something and we can get something
to eat, and you just kept stressing the fact that
you needed a nap.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
I was woa out. Every time I come here, you
wear me out.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
And I was saying, Chella is not the type of
person that really is like eager to go out. She'll
go out if I'm like, let's do something, but she's
also fine just being like I'll stay in the house.
So sure, no problem, because I think we've done enough
going out to last us a lifetime. But while you
were doing that, while you were taking a nap, because
then you did not really wake up until.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
A nap, and then I woke up at like foe.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
All right, did you have any dreams?
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Not really?
Speaker 11 (08:21):
Not really?
Speaker 4 (08:21):
And I usually do. That's crazy because I always have
dreams and I always remember them.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Is it a fact that everybody has dreams? But sometimes
you remember them and sometimes you don't.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
I usually do.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I think they say unless you're not getting into that
deep part of your sleep. But for me, last night,
I was trying to catch up on a lot of
things that I haven't been able to do right. So,
first of all, I have to do my expenses at work.
I'm so bad at doing that. I'm gonna be honest
when it comes to things like following up about money
when it comes to even if I buy something, returning
something that doesn't fit. I am so bad at being
(08:55):
able to handle things like that. I think about, like
how much money I probably waste it by not returning something,
by not you know, getting certain things expensed and doing
what I'm supposed to do, because if I don't handle
it right away, I just keep on putting it off.
So now it's coming to the end of the year,
and you know a lot of us are trying to
figure out how to wrap things up. I was making
a to do list yesterday. I was trying to send
(09:16):
out and respond to all the different emails that I
need to do. Today, I'm going to be lighting the
tree at Grant such a station for Jack Daniels.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Okay, you'll be right there with me too.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
I will ye Jack Daniel's off us right.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yes, we are.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
There's no way We're going to go to a Jack
Daniel's event and not have any Jack Daniels.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
It's pressure, but so yeah, so I'm excited for that.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And then the other thing that I was doing was
looking at some of these episodes of lip Service. Now
you were just on the last one with Victor Thompson, Yes,
I was. And we actually want to talk about this
for a second because his wife is his manager, and
he has a really interesting story. He's from Nigeria and
(09:58):
both his parents have passed and he said he he
has these walls up when it came to dating, and
his wife was the only person that was able to
break through those walls and he felt like the love
was like gushing out of him. And one thing he
talked about was telling somebody, you know, have you ever
had somebody say I love you and then you don't
know if you should say it back or you don't
love them you don't want to lie, or do you
(10:18):
just say I love you too?
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Always they always tell me they love me.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
And do you say I love you too?
Speaker 4 (10:22):
I'll be like thank you?
Speaker 3 (10:24):
All right, Well here's what Victor Tampton had to say.
Speaker 9 (10:26):
I didn't know how to respond to I love you,
So I ain't tell me I love you.
Speaker 11 (10:30):
Oh, thank you so much. So most stas he tells
me I love you, I guess oh God bless you.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
I would be so offended if somebody I said I
love you and somebody tell me God bless you.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
It depends on who it is, though, because you don't
want to lie like I love you too. Didn't they
get the wrong compression? That's not right.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
But we all love. I mean, we have love. I
love everybody.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
It's not necessarily well like sometimes do people ever write
to you on social media like oh my good?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Even people you don't know, like I love you, You
don't be like I love you too.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Sometimes I might put aoytwo or my just put hard.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
That is true.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
You could just say I l y And I think
that's why social media and text is easier, because that's
not the same or I love you.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
It's not the same as saying I love you. If
you just say lu.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
H love you, or I'll leave heart emojis.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Right and put the little heart with the hands. Things
all right?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Well, eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is
a number. What do you guys do let's just say
somebody says I love you, and you don't necessarily love
them back. Do you say I love you too? Because
you're a nice person and you don't want to hurt
anybody's feelings? Are you an honest person? Even if you
have to hurt somebody's feelings, just say thank you or wow,
you're so sweet quiet. I appreciate it. I needed that
(11:37):
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
We need to know what you do. It's way up, you.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Vibin, way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
More now it's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela ye.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Tell us here it's h and my b RF best
rapper friend Meno is in the building. Yes, and we're
talking about I love you. If somebody says I love
you and you don't really love them.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Like that yet, do you say it back?
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Here's Victor Thompson on lip Service talking about the first
time with him.
Speaker 11 (12:08):
I didn't know how to respond to I love you,
so I ain't tell me I love you. Oh, thank
you so much.
Speaker 9 (12:13):
So most tells me I love you.
Speaker 11 (12:15):
I guess, Oh God, bless you. What are you saying
right there? I had I had a real situation like
this not too long ago. And I was so caught
off guard that I didn't know what to say. And
I said the worst thing you could ever say. Lady said,
I love you the lady.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Not even this sounds like a stranger.
Speaker 11 (12:35):
And I said, because I was under pressure, I didn't
know what to say. I said, what you tell me
that for? No, no, no, I said what you want
me to say? That was the worst thing I could say.
I apologize for that because I didn't know what to say.
I should have said, God, bless you.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah, now you know, thank you, and says you ain't wrong.
Speaker 11 (12:58):
You are wrong, you don't.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
I like that, I'm saying, I get it.
Speaker 11 (13:03):
I like that, I love you, you ain't wrong, we
get it.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I think for me, it's always like.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
A so sweet Oh my god, yeah, that was so there.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
That is so sweet.
Speaker 11 (13:17):
I did.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Yeah, that was just off the child of which want me.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
To stay honest. And then after she finished crying and
it was and it.
Speaker 11 (13:28):
Was on FaceTime, it was like I love you, and
I was like, it was that face right there.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Oh gosh, it was like a pressure, like don't put
that pressure right, and.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
That sounded you want me to say that sound mean?
Speaker 11 (13:38):
Yeah, it sounded really mean. Cry absolutely all right. I
wanted to cry too.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Okay, all right, all right, well anyway we want to
hear with you.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Guys doing a situation like that, don't do what Mano
did eight hundred two nineteen fifty one fifty What happened
when you told somebody I love you?
Speaker 7 (13:55):
When he told me he loved me? I quite didn't
know how to respond.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
But what I did respond to him.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
Is that I told him he had my loyalty. So
most importantly, I said I'm sorry, I can't quite say
I love you just back yet.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
How did he react?
Speaker 7 (14:09):
He said that he understood that, and he really didn't
say anything bad about it. I think that guys are
usually used to hearing I love you back, and they
mainly look for women that are going to want or
to want to give the loyalty. And in this case,
I feel like you were very shocked. So we're two
and a half years in now, I.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Say I love it, and maybe it made him work
hard that I'm gonna make her love me. She did
the right thing.
Speaker 7 (14:36):
Yeah, yeah, most definitely.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
All right, Well thank you for calling.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Yeah, I think, and I think love is different for
different people too, like some people take it away.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
And the fact she said, you have my loyalty properly
like turn him on, Like.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, Thanks Maddie, of course, thank you. Hey, Richard,
how are you?
Speaker 3 (14:56):
I'm good? Tell us here and we're talking about I
love you? Do you say it?
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Or what happens if you're not sure or you don't
really love the person but you.
Speaker 12 (15:04):
Don't say it at all? You know, now today people
use it so frivolously. You got to make sure that
the person that's saying it had some type of emotional
intention behind it, you know what I'm saying, rather than
somebody's just saying it just to use a word.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Have you been in that situation where a woman said
I love you and then you just were like, Okay.
Speaker 11 (15:20):
Now I'm about to blow your mind.
Speaker 12 (15:22):
I've been in a situation where a dude said I
love you.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I'm gay. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (15:27):
And I know that they didn't mean it, but it
wasn't the same way how I felt, and it couldn't
be reciprocated, so I just kept.
Speaker 11 (15:32):
It real, like I don't love you, I like you,
I don't love you.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
He was like, a smash, but I'll pass.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
All right.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Wow, that has to hurt too, that honesty.
Speaker 11 (15:43):
No, for real, for real.
Speaker 12 (15:46):
Yo, can I give a shout out. I'm a small
business owner in Brooklyn. I own a black security company.
I also own a bakery and I got a restaurant.
You got around come check me out like valuvent security,
like Waters in the family pot. Well, thank you, love you.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
See he just said it back, he love you all right? Well,
I love you guys. And when we come back, we
have ye t. Let's talk about Nicki Minaj her new
pink Friday to teaser, and a whole lot of people
are in gag City.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
She's about to the d ab off this pot. Let's
get it.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
Angelus billing at yee te come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
All right, it is way up with Angela yee. I'm
Angela yee. And Shella is here, Mano is here, no
mana Hey, all right, and let's get into some yet now.
Rolling Stone has published an open letter to Sean Colms.
Some singer songwriter Tiffany Read and she is basically named
(16:43):
in Cassie's paperwork. Also, she's a Grammy winning songwriter She's
worked with some really high profile people right like Zendaia,
Joe Jonas, Tamar Braxton, Jason Derulo. She's a close friend
of Cassie's, and she talks about the things that she
witnessed with Seawan Colm to him with Cassie. In this
open letter, she talked about him not liking a song
(17:05):
called Loyal that they wrote, which was about her pain,
and she talked about an incident where Cassie and Diddy
were out. They came back to the house. He was
visibly intoxicated and he called her. He was yelling emotional, singing, bitch,
there you are and telling her to get up and saying,
tell your girl, she wants some birthday d I flew
(17:25):
all the way from Miami. She gonna get this birthday
d She said, you were visibly angry that she didn't
want that from you. I was terrified. She doesn't have
to have sex with you if she doesn't want to.
You just kept screaming she gonna get this. And all
I kept thinking about was how before you came to
get her and she was sober. She kept telling us
she didn't want to go with you. And then he
talks about the two she talks about the two of
(17:46):
them driving off on a golf court into the night,
and she said she was terrified and she had never
seen Cassie sedated the way that she was.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
During that time.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yes, and so you know, when it rains, poors and
a lot of people are now telling this story. And
she says that she continues to be close friends with
Cassie and she's happy that Cassie was empowered enough to
be able to tell her story.
Speaker 11 (18:10):
So she wrote this letter to him.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yes, and Rolling Stone published it. But she just talked
about feeling traumatized from the whole situation.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
And fifty cent is planning to do this?
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Did he documenting with the proceeds to benefit sexual assault
victims to Unit film and television proceeds.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
He said, we'll go to these people.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
He also shared a new clip with an interview with
former bad Boy artist Mark Curry. You know, Mark Curry
did a whole book called Dancing with the Devil.
Speaker 11 (18:39):
I understand women holding some things in and then speaking later,
but I don stand men though.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Well, he wrote a book when it was called Dancing
with the Devil way back now, Yes, you want to
hear something. The reason actually the reason I even met
Charlemagne was because he reached out to me to interview
Mark Curry.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
I think Mark Curry had came.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
To do an interview with Wendy Williams and something happened
and then he was like, would you want to interview
Mark Curry?
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Has his book.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
I didn't know anything about it, but that was the
first time I believed that he even reached out to
me was about this.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
So I will say this.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
It's not that Mark Curry has never said anything before.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
It's just that.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
When sometimes when somebody's powerful, people don't pay attention.
Speaker 11 (19:21):
I'm just saying a lot of dudes going into this
exposing they homies or they old homies now saying a
lot of that now, a lot of men doing that.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
But you know, when you do things, if you really
did them, because we don't know, these are still all
you know, some of them are still allegations, and if
somebody exposed to you, you can't be mad at that.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
You got to be mad at yourself.
Speaker 11 (19:40):
Depending on who's talking and how you looking at I mean,
everybody didn't done something to somebody.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (19:50):
I get what you're saying. Like, as a man, that's
the way you should move.
Speaker 11 (19:53):
That's the man. I'm speaking on the men man.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
But if he came out before I made the book,
it didn't matter as much. I guess at first that's
what you say.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
I mean this, but if you look it up, it's
really old.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
And you know so I will say that because this
is when I worked as serious that it came out.
All right, Well, Nicki Mina is get ready for Pink
Friday too, and we're going to talk more about that later.
But a lot of people are going to Gag City,
so we'll get into that. But in the meantime. Under
the Radar, it's coming up next. That's where we discuss
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
They are flying under the radar. It's way up with Angela.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Yee News Edition, the news that relates to you. These
stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
All right.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
It is way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
Chella is here and Mayno is in the building in
the building, all right, all right, and here's some good news.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
And under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
The Biden administration has canceled nearly five billion dollars.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
More in student loan debt.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
All right, They did say yesterday they have approved the
cancelations of nearly five billion dollars. More So, that means
the total amount of student debt really provided under the
Abiden administration is one hundred and thirty two billion from
more than three point six million borrowers. So, even though
the Supreme Courts drunk down Joe Biden's signature student loan
forgiveness program, which would bring up to twenty thousand dollars
(21:11):
in debt relief for low and middle class middle income borrowers,
they found other ways to go around that to help
provide relief for so many people.
Speaker 11 (21:18):
That's good. Yes, this student loan was very important.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Listen, I wish we would have had some student loan
debt cancelation when I had student loans.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Is that some loans man?
Speaker 11 (21:29):
No sure pay minds now.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Still paying for it now a lifelong loan? Did you
have student loans? Cella, not at all all?
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Right now, this ex former Jaguars employee i Met Patel
has been accused of stealing over twenty two million dollars
from the team. It was a scheme that lasted from
twenty nineteen until earlier this year. Allegedly, Patel has been
charged with wirefraud and illegal monetary transactions, and court documents
that were filed earlier this week, he was accused of
(22:00):
using this money to fund everything from luxury watches to
private jet travel to new cars. So over the past
several months, the team has cooperated fully with the FBI
and the US Attorney's office. They said he was a
former manager of financial planning and analysis. He took advantage
of that position to intentionally commit significant fraudulent financial activity
(22:23):
at the team's expense, all of this for personal benefit.
They said he had no access to confidential football strategy
personnel or anything like that, but he did work in
the finance department, and he is accused of having used
his oversight of the virtual credit card program, which is
supposed to be for employees to fund legitimate business expenses,
to commit fraud.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
So it's a lot.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
That's a lot of twenty two million dollars wow. From
twenty nineteen until earlier this year, and then they said
he was placing bets on online gambling websites. He bought
a condominium, he did he was chartering private jets, booking hotels,
private residences. He got a new Tesla Model three Sedan,
(23:07):
a Nissan pickup truck, you got cryptocurrency, n FTS, sports memorabilia,
watch all kinds of things. Why do people think they're
not gonna get caught? I don't know a lot to
get away with a little bit.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
It's gone.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Should have new whether stop?
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Yeah, when you have I don't do it at all.
Speaker 11 (23:26):
Yeah, don't do it at all.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Don't do it at all.
Speaker 11 (23:30):
I'm going with that.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
You know you're living and you know we got the
way up mixed at the top of the hour, and
speaking of jewelry and watches, we have from army jewelers
Will Selby and Robert Mototov joining us today. The holiday
season is upon us, and we're going to learn a
lot about certain gifts that you could buy, what you
should be investing in, and all of that.
Speaker 13 (23:50):
It's way up, they say the rooms from industry shade.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
To all of gossips out angels feeling.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
That it's way up. With Angela, Ye, I'm Angela. Yee
Chella is here.
Speaker 9 (24:03):
It's your girl.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
H Mano is here?
Speaker 14 (24:06):
No Mana.
Speaker 11 (24:07):
That was good and some.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Unfortunate et Kodak Black has been arrested for a cocaine
possession and he's currently behind bars at the Broward County
Sheriff's Office. So very unfortunate news. They said, there's more
charges as well, and this is all pending and we'll
keep you guys updated. But really sad, really unfortunate. Just
(24:29):
a couple of months ago, he was trying to get
his twenty twenty two drug possession case thrown out. They
said that the drugs that he possessed at that time
were completely legal and acquired over the counter, and authorities
had charged him with one kind of possession of a
controlled substance in one count of trafficking ox cotone.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
But now another arrest.
Speaker 11 (24:48):
How much cocaine?
Speaker 3 (24:49):
It does not say yet. This is all like really
really news.
Speaker 11 (24:52):
So you don't know how much cocaine.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
No, But from what I'm seeing because I can see
the paperwork on here, it still says pending.
Speaker 11 (24:58):
We want to know how much cocaine. Why, I just
want to know how much cocaine. Always want to know
how much cocaine.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, it just has possession of cocaine and then it
says pending trial and so it doesn't have a bond
of matter or anything yet.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Because it's like sniffing it or selling that, right, what
you want to know.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Okay, okay, no matter who you working with, Okay, Ed
wife and Luci's Rico trial has gotten a start date
and that is going to be January eighth, all right,
so that is expected to overlap with the whole y
s L. Rico trial that's going on, which began last
(25:33):
month as well. Now let's get into some good news.
Nicki Minaj, all right, we are approaching gag City. She's
inviting fans to gag City as she shares her new
Pink Friday to teaser and here is some.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Of that like myn is Gill, so.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
You with you, all right, So that's going to be
a big deal. As people are waiting for that album tonight.
You know it was delayed from the last tonight. YEP,
it's dropping tonight, so get ready for that. I know
the barbs are excited. I see everybody going crazy on
social media. She posted approaching Gag City. It's a twenty
six second trailer and she said barbe alert system, Prepare
(26:19):
for impact. Pink Friday too is coming and yes, get ready,
buckle up. And she's also going to be on Watch
What Happens Live. Andy Cohen posted tweet me all of
your questions now for Nicki Minaci will be joining me
for an upcoming and watch.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
What Happens live.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
All right, Now, let's get into what happened with Joe
Button's podcast. Melissa Ford is on there as you know,
and there was a back and forth with her and Cameron. Now,
if you guys would call Cameron on Mace had talked
about a situation where they were at a brothel and
then they took.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
The woman back with them.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
They got a lot of backlash for this conversation, and
here's what Melissa Ford had to say on the Joe
Button podcast.
Speaker 15 (27:00):
Them clearly went to took somebody.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
About it, it says them.
Speaker 10 (27:04):
And is there a distinct possibility that there may have
been underage girls in that?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
What you're doing?
Speaker 3 (27:18):
All right?
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Well, since then Cameron makes it not like these insinuations
that there were underage girls potentially there. So here's what
Cameron had to say that, lets to.
Speaker 11 (27:27):
Tell the truth, we're not we're not into anything illegal,
so you could stop trying to put that together.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Don't ever come for me and kill.
Speaker 16 (27:35):
Her in your mother's life. This is not this is
not with you because I can't tell you how much
I don't can this.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
This is screaming desperate and all right.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
He also went and posted a picture of him and
Melissa on a red carpet for in Harlem, and he
was threatening to get her deported because she's in Canada.
Really right, So Melissa has since went on the Joe
Button podcast and apologized.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 10 (28:05):
I don't really want to say the phrase walk it back.
I'll just say I apologize. I should, I should. I
should never have made that.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
They did offer grace. She's saying they could have went
way harder than they did. And so she did apologize.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
And you know what else.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I listen, and because I know Melissa, I know the
point she was trying to make was, you know, when
that story came out there was a lot of backlash
of them talking about this whole situation, and it is
true in a lot of places like that, there's you know,
all kinds of illegal things going on, so maybe that's
not something you want to discuss, but not saying that
they did anything. And I guess the insinuation was there
(28:46):
was underage girls and nobody wants that put on them.
So she apologized. If anybody thought that, all right, well
that is your yee tea. And you know we got
asked ye coming up with the award winning advice giver
Maino and my girl Tella h I'm here, who always

And one thing that I always talk about is reading, right.
You know, I have a book club, and sometimes people
will act like I don't have time to read a book.

Speaker 15 (29:53):
You can have all the talent in the world, but
if you're not willing to put in the work, all
that talent is just going to go to a waste.
For me, doing the work was never the problem. Once
my mind is made up, I'm going all in.
Speaker 2 (30:07):

he is, Yeah, and a lot more open.
Speaker 3 (30:12):

Speaker 2 (30:13):
In addition to that, you know, they had some of
the best podcasts.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Here's somebody else who's.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Been in the news a lot, Will Smith, and his
podcast is Class of eighty eight and basically he's talking
about that year. He has some great interviews with people
like Jazzy Jeff's like Rick dmc salmn, Peppa Chuck, d
Rick Rubin rob him his own personal accounts, and here
he is talking to Queen Latifa about the song Tella.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
I know you know this song Ladies First?
Speaker 4 (30:38):
You know I do?
Speaker 1 (30:39):
How did that come about?
Speaker 9 (30:40):
So I decided to call a record ladies First.
Speaker 11 (30:43):
And so a lot of it was why am I
beefing with these girls?
Speaker 9 (30:46):
Why do these girls keep beefing with each other?
Speaker 11 (30:48):
We could do a lot more if we stood together.
I e. Ladies First, ladies. First, Yeah, all.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
All right, I feel you. What's your question?
Speaker 14 (31:47):
Well, I'm wanting to know what would be the best
time on Christmas Day to propose to my girlparents.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Ooh, do y'all live together?
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 14 (31:57):
We're actually staying with my grandmother right now because I
was facing twenty years probation revocation and I didn't pull
but eighteen months OVID and then she made my ride
or died. I even tried to tell her to live
her life and she stayed waiting.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Wow, I'm just.
Speaker 11 (32:14):
I love that for you waiting for Yeah, that's dope.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
He told her living life and she waits. She did listen.
Speaker 11 (32:21):
How much time you did?
Speaker 14 (32:23):
I did eighteen months, but I was facing twenty years
probation revocation.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Okay, all right, So let me ask you this, what
type of person is she? Because I think that's what
really matters. Is she the type of person that would
rather it be just the two of you? Or do
you think she would want people to be around? What
do you want to invite her family and friends for
it to happen.
Speaker 14 (32:41):
She's the secluded type person. She loads me and her
type moments. But I'm doing this around the few closest
of our family on Christmas.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Days, okay, And so you want to wait till the
evening or you want to do it early.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
You also want to make sure you know she's looking good.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Gotta nails, because we always want to post a picture
and have a little video at the moment.
Speaker 14 (33:04):
Yes, mom, that's what I'm trying to figure out what
would be the best term.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Okay, so maybe what you need to do is y'all
have a little spy day together. That way, she's got
her nails done, she's relaxed, y'all spent the whole day together, comfortably,
had a good time.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Get back to the house.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Everybody's you know, house is clean, everybody's waiting for yall to.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Come back and do it.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
And then maybe right before dessert you have dinner, and
then right before dessert comes.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
I think that's always a good time.
Speaker 14 (33:35):
I was thinking and maybe having in her.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Powers, do you think it's the best time. Do you
think you should wait until y'all move out into your
own place again? Proposed?
Speaker 3 (33:45):
She's ready, she's ready to die.
Speaker 14 (33:47):
The only reason that we're here right now is because
my grandfather had passed.
Speaker 11 (33:52):
Away within the last year.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Okay, we do have our own place.
Speaker 14 (33:55):
We just been here because my grandmother doesn't like or
come to an empty house.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Oh okay, yeah, well, maybe wait until after y'all eat,
because we like to be full.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Ye, eat, but right before dessert, because then the dessert
is like a celebration.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah, okay, what may know?
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Maybe he can put it in a wants to know too,
because one day he's gonna propose this somewhere and and
make sure y'all gonna have somebody filming it, so you know,
everybody gotta get their phones ready.
Speaker 11 (34:24):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 14 (34:25):
Well, the only two others that know about this big
surpris is my aunt and my grandmother.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
All right, yeah, I think after dinner and right before dessert,
y'all have some wine. Make sure you have a bottle
of champagne to pop to celebrate, hey, yes, Oh, and
make sure you queue up a.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Song whatever, y'all gotta have a song. Y'all got a song?
Speaker 14 (34:44):
Well, I've been singing that song beautiful to her lately.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
All right, So look, get the champagne ready because we
love planning. We like when people were thoughtful, and so
have the champagne ready to pop, the dessert about to
come out, and have that song queued up.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yes, ma'am. Sounds like applying to learn.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
All right, Well, congratulations, Casey, I love that you got
you a ride or die?
Speaker 9 (35:05):
Woman O me too, finally for once in my life.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
All right, well, listen when we come back, and this
might be important too. We have army duelers joining us.
We got Will Selby and Robert Matotov joining us, and
they're going to be talking about all things jewelry, engagements, rings, diamonds, watches.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
It's the holidays. It's way up about to do this.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Yeah, more, way up with angel On Now.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
What's up this way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and I am joined by my girl tell it
from Chicago. That's right, all right, And Mano is in
the building and we are getting ready to talk about
one of his favorite topics ever.
Speaker 13 (35:45):
Ice ice, ice, ice baby, as in jewelry, ice as
an amy.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
As an ammy, yes, ammy, jewelery.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
And listen, we have Robert I want to mess up
your last name matatotot Okay.
Speaker 9 (35:59):
I heard him say.
Speaker 11 (36:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
And Will Selby is here.
Speaker 11 (36:05):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
I've known Will for a long time as an artist
manager but also as a jeweler. And I remember when
you kind of made that transition. Yes, and can you
just talk about that just briefly.
Speaker 17 (36:18):
It started from me managing artists, and I used to
connect them with the jewelers and I would get like
a small percentage of small cut. And after a while
I had to chase my feet because the jeweler wasn't
given it to me. So as me chasing my fee,
I was spending more time at the jewelry store. So
I'm like, you know what, I see some holes that
I could probably fix up, and the rest was history.
Speaker 11 (36:37):
It wasn't like you had a history of dealing with jewelers.
You kind of stumbled on it by chance. Yeah.
Speaker 17 (36:45):
I was broke at the times I couldn't afford in
the jewelry. So I used to be an engineer in
the same program. Yeah, like a fire protection plumbing engineer. Yeah,
in the same program. You used to design the blueprints
for that. It's the same thing you do to design jewelry.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
So as I'm a jewelery in the Diamond District.
Speaker 9 (37:01):
We're around the corner around.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
Right now with Mano and Sheella and we're talking to
will Sylvie and Robert Matata from Amy Duelers.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
How do you make sure that you're getting the best deal.
Speaker 9 (37:12):
I think it's about relationship and trust. A lot of
relationship is.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
So important with your dueler because especially our.
Speaker 18 (37:18):
Business, especially ours, is how you find the person. Let's
you know, you do somebody wrong, word gets out, You're.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Done, and well, let's talk about some of the people
that you have had as clients, because I know you've
worked with a Drake fifty cent asap, Rocky.
Speaker 9 (37:34):
Too, except for except for you know, Tiger Trey songs.
You know, the list goes on.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
So when people come to you, right is it do
they know like what they want or how are you
able to help them design?
Speaker 17 (37:46):
I try to make it an experience, and I try
to I try to make sure that they don't have
to do much. I don't even wait for their opinion.
I try to create on my own and then present
it to them.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Okay, the holidays are coming up, all right, so we
do need some tips.
Speaker 11 (38:01):
Now.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Do not buy black diamonds.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
Why did they say that?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
They said it's like dying coal.
Speaker 18 (38:08):
Yeah, and black diamonds, I don't really think they are
really one hundred percent natural black.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Okay.
Speaker 18 (38:13):
They have to be coded with something to be exactly
just like the rest of the pink, blue green.
Speaker 9 (38:18):
That is in the market now.
Speaker 18 (38:20):
It's mostly coded because a real pink diamond small half
a character is a million dollars.
Speaker 11 (38:27):
That's yeah, it's treated, treated colored, it's basically painted.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
Yeah, it's still diamonds.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Don't get me wrong, it's still It's just like how
it looks. It's about about value.
Speaker 11 (38:37):
It's not a real truth, but there is, there is canary,
but a lot of what we're saying is not truly
colored because it's just colored.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
That's actually a question I have for somebody like me
who don't just be bad. Damn, it's a lot. What
type of diamonds.
Speaker 9 (38:52):
Do you write diamonds on?
Speaker 4 (38:53):
I mean I do, but like if I go on
a jewelly store, you know they might be like, oh,
these bbs is what it is today? What is the
level of damage that you will say will pass the
test versus the lower class?
Speaker 3 (39:05):
That's that's like a good investmenttor too.
Speaker 11 (39:07):
That's a really hard question.
Speaker 9 (39:09):
We're trying not to say anything lower than SI one.
Speaker 18 (39:11):
If you're going inside a jewelry store and you want
to buy something with diamonds, again, again, the first thing
is trust. The guy can't sell you no garbage. If
you have a certain budget, he's got to show you
something decent.
Speaker 11 (39:23):
Quality for that budget to say VS.
Speaker 18 (39:25):
To say s I most of the jewelers are both.
Speaker 9 (39:28):
Everything is VS.
Speaker 11 (39:29):
VS. Why because people heard VS.
Speaker 9 (39:31):
Right, Because it's like we really don't know.
Speaker 18 (39:33):
There's no really again, it's trust. Like when somebody buys,
let's say, a diamond started rolics right like, Yo, this
is OVS. It's OVS. I told him it's not VS.
Because you can't have a thousand stones in the watch.
That's oh vs. Otherwise you're paying instead of twenty thousand,
you're paying sixty thousand because the guy sits there and
picks exactly those little stones.
Speaker 11 (39:55):
Won Bid wanted to make sure.
Speaker 9 (39:56):
There's way too much time.
Speaker 18 (39:58):
Yes though, if that's floorless, so that's the best, the best.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yeah, all right, it's the holidays and we are going
to help you out.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Y'all.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
See how icy mano b. You see how icy Chella is.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
We got Robert Mattotov and Will Selby from Ammy Julius here.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
We got more when we come back.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
It's way up this yeah, yea more way up with
Angela on them.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
It is what's up his way up with Angela. Ye,
I'm Angela yee and I am joined by Chella and
the King of Ice himself Mano, and we have the
jewelers from Amy Jewelers, Will sell Be and Robert Mattotov.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Now, well, for you.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Haven't been behind the scenes, there was a period of
time that you were in the tabloids.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
I was, yeah, did that help business?
Speaker 9 (40:43):
The couple of things that I did briefly see, I
just ignored it, honestly.
Speaker 17 (40:47):
Okay, well because the tabloids, for well, I think it
was something pertaining to Wendy Williams. Wendy Williams, I'm Sorryndy Williams.
I don't think anything happened to her. I just think
people just had an opinion. Because Wendy is such a
strong figure.
Speaker 11 (41:00):
They had to do what you.
Speaker 9 (41:05):
And I my friends.
Speaker 17 (41:06):
I manage her, I do journey for her, connected in
so many different ways, So you know, I just I
just feel like everyone had an opinion about Wendy, and
you know, I had something to say about it, but
I realized I can't always respond everything that I see.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
Because you're not used to being in that position.
Speaker 17 (41:24):
For me, so a minute they came for me, I
figured I'm gonna let them know I'm not the person
to come for But I realized it's just a better
way to deal with things. It's just sometimes better to
just be quiet.
Speaker 11 (41:34):
It is just a business relationship.
Speaker 17 (41:35):
Yes, that's only a business relationship initially. I just tell
you truth. Since were on way up, Wendy wanted to
make her ex husband jealous, so she was flirting with
me a little bit. Yes, yes, and he had a
lot to endure just dealing with Wendy hands on. I
know it's a lot, so I know he had to
go through a lot. So I have nothing without most
respect for him. But you know, she wanted to make
(41:57):
him jealous, so she was bothering me, and she was,
you know, taking a couple of close photos and everything
got leaked and they make it.
Speaker 11 (42:03):
Did you make all?
Speaker 9 (42:04):
We like?
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Not at all.
Speaker 9 (42:07):
I didn't go anywhere. I don't mind a mask. Okay,
I did nothing. I didn't even give her an extended hug.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Okay.
Speaker 17 (42:16):
With friends, it's just business. There's nothing outside of that. Okay,
with friends, we care about each other. I got nothing
but love for her.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Did you end up? So you started up as a
jeweler and then she asked you to manage her.
Speaker 9 (42:27):
Well, I think same thing. Like the jewelry.
Speaker 17 (42:29):
We were having a lot of conversations and I was
just like, well, Wendy, you should be doing this, you know,
or maybe you should be doing that. Why is it
this happening? And I guess it's just the conversations that
we had. She felt like I could be an asset
to her.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Business right now with Mano and Sheella and we're talking
to will Sylby and Robert Madata from AMMI Jewelers and
so you still manage her now, So how is she doing?
Speaker 17 (42:49):
Wendy is resting right now. I feel like she's been
working straight for like fourteen fifteen.
Speaker 9 (42:53):
Years, right, and you know it's time for this shits
down for men.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Oh you know, I think people love Wendy so much
and that's why people felt better protective at a time.
Speaker 9 (43:01):
So that's yeah, Yes, they dought.
Speaker 17 (43:04):
A lot of different things, just to confirm I didn't
slide anywhere.
Speaker 9 (43:08):
Nothing took place. We have a business friendship relationship in
that time.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
All right.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
So now how can people find i'my jewelry online. I
know you guys have a thriving online business too.
Speaker 18 (43:18):
I'm Underscore Jewelry online, Instagram, Facebook.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Oh am I by the way, all right, Well, the
holidays that come in, so you know what to do,
all right.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
We love jewelry and.
Speaker 17 (43:31):
Since we on the show, Rob decided that anybody buying
watches this month, we're giving them five hundred dollars off
the Way Up Show.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Yeah, you got to get way up, way up, Way up,
way up.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
And we can trust you, guys, and that matters because
this gout definitely.
Speaker 3 (43:51):
But I already have known you for a long time.
Speaker 11 (43:53):
January first, the people.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
From now through January third, that's my birthday. All right, Well,
thank you guys so much for joining us again. The
promo code is way up if you want to buy
anything from Ammy Jewlry. We appreciate that because our listeners
are going to love that.
Speaker 9 (44:08):
Thank you, Thank you, Thanks for having us. Thank you
for having us.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
And when we come back, you have the last word.
It's way up.
Speaker 9 (44:14):
Take up the phone.
Speaker 1 (44:17):
To get your voice heard. What the word is the
last word on Way Up with Angela? Yee?
Speaker 2 (44:23):
All right, it's the Way Up with Angela. Ye, I'm
Angela Yeechella is here, she's.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
Mano is here.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
It's for our city and it was like a party
up here today. It's a celebration the holidays are coming up.
It's holidays season, and we're just grateful and blessed.
Speaker 11 (44:43):
That's right. We blessed to be here.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Yes Wests and shout out to Will Selby and Robert
Mattof for joining us. You can watch that full interview
on the Way Up with You on the YouTube channel
there from Ammy Jewelers. And we learned a lot, well,
I learned a lot. I know Mano already knows a
lot about you lois watches, about different colored diamonds, what
should you invest in?
Speaker 3 (45:05):
What's the market looking like.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
There was a period of time when it was a
good time to buy, you know, watches and things like.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
That, and now I feel like now it's a good time.
Speaker 11 (45:16):
Because the mouse have gone back.
Speaker 13 (45:17):
Like a gold watch. Plane a goal will they say, plane,
don't bust it down, don't bust it down.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Don't bust it down.
Speaker 11 (45:24):
And if it is diamonds, get it from the manufacturer,
like the person that's making like Rolex.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Diamonds right now in yourself. Don't do it on right.
Speaker 11 (45:33):
So that's what that's what the jewelers do after market diamonds.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Okay, all right, And and we talked about saying I
love you what happens to someone says I love you,
but you don't quite love them yet. What do you say?
And of course you guys have the last word.
Speaker 8 (45:46):
Okay, this is Hayton, and I'm just gonna say something
about when somebody says that they love me normally. What
I say is most people do, and then they kind
of just look at me funny, and I'm just like, yeah,
do you say I love you when somebody tells you
I love you? Of course you do.
Speaker 9 (46:03):
That's so rude.
Speaker 6 (46:04):
And I'd be offended if if somebody said I love
you and get somebody I love fair back, And now
that's rude.
Speaker 11 (46:09):
That's very rule.
Speaker 12 (46:10):
You say it just because you love everybody, right, and
that's how I feel about it, So say I love.
Speaker 9 (46:14):
Him back to My name is Cicia.
Speaker 6 (46:16):
I was calling. I just wanted to say thank you
for just your positive messages in your encouragement just in
general about victim. I personally experienced that and it was
really traumatizing and discouraging. A lot of people don't realize
that it's a lot of traumas that we go through
and when we do have the courage to speak out,
(46:39):
sometimes with sean or or ostracized or even in the
court system, just pretty much drag to the court. So
again I want to just say thank you for shedding
a light on this topic.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Going way out with Angela Yee
