Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are now angel what I call her?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Ye, it's way up at Angela yee. And I am
here with my guy. That's right. Mano came in bearing
gifts today.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah, this is what I do. I'm coming with wine,
I'm coming with diamonds. That's how I do.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
It's a Friday, you know what I mean. So you
know what that means. It's a party up here. Okay, Yes,
it's Friday. How could it not be. Also, I was
outside last night. I felt like, I really don't ever
go to parties in New York. Like when I'm out,
it's usually you know, an event or something like that,
or a panel.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Panel.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I do, stay on, got a couple coming up. But yes,
I actually and we'll talk about this and about last night.
I moderated the panel. It was a panel for the
show The Impact New York and that's gonna be on
January twenty second. And you know we've had Bernice Burgos
was up here promoting that.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
We had Cleo Trappa up here for that.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Also on lip Service we had Ashley Marie Burgos, Bernice's daughter.
And then Ella Bands is coming up on Tuesday. Yes,
so all of those things, I know, you know a
lot of the women that are on the show, but
we'll discuss that later.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
Well, in the meantime, Doctor Heavenly is going to be
joining us later today from Married to Medicine. She's definitely
the star of that franchise. But let's get it started
with Shine a Light eight hundred two nine to fifty
one fifty call us up, let's spread some love. And
you know it's a Friday, so we got a party
like it'shall birthday.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
May not get the shots ready, let's go. It's way up.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'm shin.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
The light on them, Shine a light on them. It's
time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
It's way up with Angela ye, I'm Angela yee. And
mayno's in the building, Yes, no, man no, And it's
trying to shine a light. And Jasmine Brand actually sent
this story to us this morning, and this was in
Portland Magia, Washington. She noticed a flash outside of her
home this week and there was a dangerous storm. The
city was coda Ice. We've seen how bad the weather
(02:17):
has been around the United States, and that's when she
saw a red suv with a down power line on it,
and there was a couple who had been putting their
baby in the car, so they were trying to figure
out how to get the baby to safety, and Magia
was on the phone with a dispatcher when she saw
the baby still alive, so she managed to go and
actually help and save them. So that's an amazing story.
(02:40):
Imagine that, eighteen years old, she happens to see this
out the window and then goes ahead and saves a life.
So shout out to her for doing that, risking her
own life, by the way, and somebody like that definitely
deserves recognition and a light shined on her. Magia Washington, Right,
All heroes don't wear capes in Portland. And I love
that story. See something if you can help make it happen.
(03:02):
And she was clearly not thinking too hard about her
own safety because she might have hesitated. But at least
you know, in times like that, you gotta have hero.
Dear hero, all right, But who do you want to
shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine fifty one
fifty Chef Mark?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (03:17):
I'm good about yourself?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
What's your secret?
Speaker 7 (03:20):
No?
Speaker 6 (03:20):
You know, Chef Mark?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's not a secret. Shining a light.
Speaker 8 (03:25):
People tell us a secret, Okay.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Go ahead, may no, but I want to shine the
light my beautiful Rokuss Queen Michelle Power for all that
she does for our family and our grandchildren. Also on
the media drive for a mischiefing me, the owner of
Melanie Excellence Medical Transportation. She's the biggest boss that I've
seen us and I'm chef Walks second to none.
Speaker 9 (03:51):
I may know.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
I ain't got no secrets, man, Okay, yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Can't shine a lot on your wife and.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
This good man. I shout out to your wife, man
shot and shout out to you brother.
Speaker 9 (04:01):
Thank you man.
Speaker 10 (04:02):
I appreciate y'all.

Y'all stay way up because I'm gonna be way up.
Speaker 11 (04:06):

Speaker 4 (04:06):
He gave us ten drops just now for the show
that we can thank you all right now, all right,
Well that was Shina Light eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through. And
when we come back, we have your yee t and
Meno's hair. We're gonna talk about artists selling the same
verse to more than one time, to different artists and
then even doing videos for it. Will tell you who
(04:27):
did that? It's way up?
Speaker 8 (04:28):
Yet?
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Is next?
Speaker 1 (04:28):
They say in the rooms from industry shade to all.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Of gossip out send Angela's feeling that EyeT.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
It's way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
I'm Angela yee and manos here Yeah, I don't even
know what you always arguing about behind the.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Scenes, Oh debate.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
I'm over here working. But we did on some other things.
But we got yee t.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Right now, let's talk about Finesse two times. First of all,
would you be hesitant he finess two times?
Speaker 7 (04:55):
Right?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Would you be hesitant to do business with somebody whose name?
The next two times?
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Man, I'm not judging yea artist, but yeah, I mean
he told you what it is.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
So T G.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Commas is upset about Finesse two times, sending him the
same verse that he sent another artist.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Here is what he said you one verse heaving there
all right.
Speaker 12 (05:15):
First, I was like, you know, maybe he was loaded
and made mistake and redd my loaded you changed one
one one line on it.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
So he said the same verse to him and another artist.
Now here's the other artist, fast money at uh. The
song is called all I went. So listen to the verse.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
In the big pack full of picks at tick Joint
big play.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Okay, sound dope, I'll pay for that, right?
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Okay, Well here is TG commas featuring Finesse two times.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Can't pay for it?
Speaker 7 (05:47):
Your ball for a big for hang a hot tack
drinking a big player almost in the ranking.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Okay, so do you hear the similarity? Can't pay for it?
Speaker 13 (06:02):
But he really went and did the verses and then
shot the videos.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Though the videos, and I want to say I feel
bad about it.
Speaker 10 (06:10):
Man.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
You know people are like, he literally is name for
two times.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
People get fessed every day.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
But I will say, doesn't that bring more attention to
the songs?
Speaker 11 (06:18):
Right because we're not different outfits, two different sets, oh man, with.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
The same verse.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Maybe he didn't remember.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Maybe he didn't remember. Maybe he forget.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
That before.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
I don't know if I did this before, but I did.
Speaker 14 (06:34):
Now.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
This broke my heart. HBO Max, which is just now
Just Max. They canceled the rap Ish after two seasons.
You know, I was into that show. I'm very upset
about it. I feel like somebody else has to pick
this up. Somebody has to do You ever see that happen?
Speaker 13 (06:49):
You ever see a show get dropped from one network
and it picked up by Yeah really.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Yeah, that's happened before, so I feel like this could
potentially happen. It probably depends also on the deal that
they have with the network, and it's get she has
authority and power to get things done.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
All right.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Now, let's talk about Tory Heart. She was on the
Pettyish podcast and she talked about her name heart.
Speaker 12 (07:14):
Well, because I've built a career with this name. My
maiden name was Skipper.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Do you know how many jokes got Skipper?
Speaker 8 (07:21):
I'm sure I like Heart better.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
It is what it is. It's my name.
Speaker 12 (07:25):
I've built the brand around my name. I was there
from the beginning helping build the brand name Hearty.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
So you know that.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
And also your kid's last name is a heart and
so I just feel like we know her as Tory
Hart and they were together for a very long time
and she also does entertainment, just like Tina Turner kept
Ike Turner's last.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Name, right, once you build up that name.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
He doesn't hate him, No, I'm just saying in general,
like you break up with.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
The guy, like why you I mean Larsa Pippen.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Yeah, why was she want to keep that name?
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Because that's what we know her for because she does television.
If she changes her last name back to that, are
we gonna people will be like who?
Speaker 2 (08:06):
And it's like a recognition that you always wanted.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
You want to keep the name of somebody that you're
not with no more?
Speaker 4 (08:12):
And then what if your kids have that last name?
Do you want to have a different last name than
your children? Is that fair?
Speaker 15 (08:17):
I know?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
But maybe you don't want it to.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
But anyway, we'll discuss that at another time in the meantime.
About last night when we come back, that was your
ee t. That's where we got about last night. Is
where we discussed what we did last night? And I
had a time It's way up, yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Night, So about last night last night? Last night I
went down.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
It's way up at Angela yea, I'm Angela yee. Mayo's
in a biling Okay, now, may No, what did you
do last night?
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Man?
Speaker 10 (08:46):
I was.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
I was at Chelsea House.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Of course I should have came here after.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
Well, last night I hosted moderated a conversation for the
Impact New York. We've all seen the Impact Atlanta that
was on BT Plus. Well, now the Impact New York
is on VH one and It starts January twenty second.
The cast and some of the cast members have been
up here already, but Ashley Marie Burgos, Bernice Burgos is
on their Chinese Kitty, Cleio Trappa, Dreamed, Doll Elbans, Milani Cruz,
(09:17):
Scott Louis, all of them didn't miss anybody just dreamed.
All is on the show and so it was basically
a Q and A about you know, the impact they
have in New York. This is really the younger generation
of influencers, of artists, of people doing big things in
New York but still on the come up and the
(09:38):
impact that they want to have. Bernice is Ashley Marie's mother,
so she's on the show. She's never done reality TV before,
so this was a first for her. But it was
also Chinese Kitty's birthday, so it was like a party
in there for real.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
So it's nice.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
And this is a show that was also developed by QC,
so he was there for one quality control and just
a lot of people in the building.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
You know who was there.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Ryan Destiny was there and her mom because she's an
actress and she sings and her mom is her manager,
but her mom also manages Scott Louis and Scott. Louie
is a stylist, you know, he style a little Kim
a lot of huge people, so this is his foray
into doing this as well. So it was nice to
see everybody in the building. Cleo Trappa's mom was there.
(10:21):
She put out a single actually today that's called Rockstar
and it's a new music Friday, so we'll make sure
you guys get a chance.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
It's smart to.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Hear that I played it for you already, right, Yeah,
I like it. Yeah, she's from Staten Island, so we
show love and appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
But that was my night last night.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
And you know, it's just interesting to me because I've
already seen the first episode, so.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I can't give any spoilers, so I'll do that.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
But I did ask some questions and go off script
a little, because normally when you do something like this,
they give you like a few questions to start the conversation.
But they were like, feel free to do things in
your way, so you.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Asked whatever you wanted.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
So I spiced it up. Okay, I spiced it up
a little. You know, you have to to say the least.
But shout out to everybody who was there. Last night,
and also to Kim Osorio who worked really hard on
this show. Yeah, every single day too, behind the scenes
at all.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
All right, well, let's do what you do best. Tell
us a secret.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty is the number now,
one of the secrets. When I'm Icewear Vessel was guest hosting,
people were very angry that I was making jokes about
this this woman. But you can see and on our
way up with the page, I was giving her suggestions,
have things to do. People get so mad about everything.
But the whole point of tell us a Secret is
(11:36):
that we don't judge the people who call in. These
are real life stories. These are not staged in any way.
Anybody who's ever been up here will tell you, man,
you keep it real, right, Are you staged?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
None of this is the stage.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
None of this. Some of this catches.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
I try to tell people, this is not stage. We
don't know what they gonna call and talk about.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
But it's so good.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
People think it's not real. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. Call us up, tell us a secret,
way up this Friday.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yo, this is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
What's up his way up at angela ye, I'm angela yee,
and mayno is here. I don't even want to tell y'all.
It's a secret what Mano just said. But one day
when I write my.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Book, you gotta stop expose you.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
But in the meantime, call us up an expose yourself
eight nine fifty one fifty Hello anonymous, call it tell
us a secret.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
So what happened was long story short? Is my ex
used to stay together and to find out she was
talking to other best sir?
Speaker 13 (12:34):
Oh, yeah, you did your right thing, bro, you did
your big one.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yum me.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Did she ever find out?
Speaker 8 (12:40):
No?
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Did you continue to sleep with her best friend?
Speaker 9 (12:43):
I actually did?
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Is that really her best friend? How did you even
know you could try her?
Speaker 14 (12:48):
Like?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
How does that happens?
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Fat?
Speaker 9 (12:51):
Because she was giving little hands. I'm a type of
person that studied sex without even reading the book, so
I recognized the little stuff.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
This guy is crazy.
Speaker 13 (13:00):
You would have really been a legend. If you have
to put them together, then you should have called it
here then after you did that?
Speaker 9 (13:06):
Not gonna lie. I'm working on it because me and
my EG just started.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Talking that call back. When you put them together?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Does she know that you know she cheated.
Speaker 10 (13:15):
No, you don't.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
How do y'all keep stuff like that? There's no way
you cheat. I mean I'm saying something. There's no way.
I'm not well. Thank you for calling and sharing with us?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Got it?
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Hey, anonymus?
Speaker 14 (13:26):
Call it?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
How are you?
Speaker 16 (13:28):
Hello?
Speaker 10 (13:28):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
I'm good? Do you want to tell me a mano?
A secret?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
So?
Speaker 10 (13:32):
Where I work, it's music playing all the time. I
work in an office setting, and I moved my hips
a lot like I'm dancing. Everybody thinks I'm dancing, but
I'm not really dancing. I have a buildo like I take.
I'll move my hip, I'll fit and I'll move my
hip and it's awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
You're freak.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
And do you actually orgasm while you're at work?
Speaker 10 (13:57):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (13:58):
How many times?
Speaker 10 (13:59):
It really depends on my day. It depends on my mooluda.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Do you do this every day?
Speaker 10 (14:05):
It depends like today, I d know I'm gonna do
it cause I got my like because I'm prepared, like
I ready know, but I didn't.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Okay, it depends on how you feel. Yeah, you might
need a break some days.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I don't believe it. I don't believe this.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
I don't know what to tell you may No last question,
what made you start doing this?
Speaker 10 (14:25):
Because I didn't want to depend on men to get
I wanted to learn how to love myself. I didn't
want to depend on men.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Okay, love yourself.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
What you do though myself?
Speaker 10 (14:37):
That's the theme song for today. But no, but real
though I never regretted. It's very it's very sanitary, like
after I have for a while, like you know what
I'm saying, I'm good, But I just I just wanted
to stop calling men or depending on men for It's
like when I wanted, I got it in a delayer.
Whether I'm at work or wherever I'm doing, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
So what about home? What you do when you're home?
You don't got to man at home?
Speaker 10 (15:01):
No, I do not have a man at home and.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
She doesn't need to.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Okay, Well, thank you so much for calling and sharing
with us, and you gave a lot of women out
there some ideas.
Speaker 10 (15:10):
I've been doing this for years. I have never told anybody,
and I don't think anybody will record. I hope nobody recognized.
Speaker 13 (15:18):
I wonder how many women in here in this building
right now with dial does right now?
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Or men man too?
Speaker 10 (15:24):
You're welcome for t.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Thank you back. All right, Well that was tell us
a secret. That was cute.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
I'm not cute.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
And when we come back, we have your yee te
Let's talk about Little knives X. He has another trailer
out for his upcoming documentary, but he's also lost up
unto followers.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
We'll talk about it.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid ab off this pot.
Let's get it. Angela's feeling that yee te Come and
get your tea.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm Angela ye, and
Mano's in the Let's get into some yeek tea. All right,
Little knie X, you know, yes, this documentary is called
Little knie X Long Live Montarot. Some people have seen
it already because it was at the Toronto International Film
Festival and they put out a trailer. But now there's
another trailer for this forthcoming project. And you know, he's
(16:08):
been getting a lot of backlass recently the Jake Christ
single came out. He lost about one hundred and forty
thousand followers after that.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Here's part of that trailer.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Though some people think my music is dope. Some people
see me as like they say Tanning Devil.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
When I was a kid, my sexuality was just like
the elephant and the room.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
I'll started yelling bad, like anxiety attacks. Coming out was
very important to progress. Just put out falling channel, I mean,
child back a year from now.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yeah, you know what I'm gonna say about Little nas X, right,
because he did some groundbreaking things, you know, crossing over
the country music and things like that. But sometimes I
feel like you don't have to do gimmicky things right,
just put out music that's heartfelt, talented and not having
shock value.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
I never watch him, so I don't know what he's doing,
you know.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
And he also admitted that he ran Nicki Minaj's stand
Acount a long time ago.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
He talked about that.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
So sometimes you put yourself out there a certain way,
open yourself up to people really feeling.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
It's polarizing.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Some people are going to really feel strongly about it,
and you have to be willing to be okay with that.
But it's also can be really hurtful. He's young, all right,
I guess you've never paid attention. I don't even know
what's going on unfortunately. All right, Well, Kit Cutty is
talking about Kanye's sincere apology to him. You know, they
had some issues and Kanye eventually, I guess has apologized.
(17:40):
He did take aim and him accuse him of being disloyal.
All of that is because Kit Cutty was friends with
Pete Davidson. Remember Pete Davidson was dating Kim Kardashian at
the time. Said some really hurtful things. Well here is
what Kit Kitty had to say with Zay Lowe.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
The reason why we became cool again is because he
apologized to me, and it was sincere I was said, wow,
Kanye does not apologize anymore.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Sorry, that's my brother, man.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
I know he loves me and there's just nothing like
Kanye and Cuddy.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
Well that's good, you know. That is he said, that's
his brother. Because he said some really wild things. And
I think sometimes we heard the people closest to her
the most. I know Dan probably remembers what he had
to say about him. I'm trying to remember exactly what
he was saying. Crazy it was it was, you.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Know, Dan, I forgot. I'm sorry, yeah, I do.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
I kind of forgot because it was a while ago,
but it was like, wow, that was his man's you know,
So at the time when that happened.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
We're going to find it all right.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Well, two New York City men are suing Madonna, and
that's because she started her concert at the Barclays really late.
I remember when this was happening too, because I have
a friend that works at the Barclays and he had
to work that night, and so the concert was supposed
to start at eight thirty.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
She didn't get on stage until ten forty five. That's late.
You know, people waited for that, but I didn't know
you could sue for that. Now.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Michael Fellows who's from Brooklyn, and Jonathan Hadden, who's from
the Bronx, they bought these tickets and they said they
were confronted with limited public transportation, limited ride sharing, and
or increased public and private transportation costs because the show
did not get out until one am. So I did
not know that you could sue for those purposes what
(19:29):
they are. You know how many people, if they win
this lawsuit, could end up suing for concerts starting late.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
But they have.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
They won unspecified damages, they said based on the years
long hair. So your Madonna arriving several hours late to
prior concerts. They said that at the Barclays dyes should
have known that the concert would not start at eight
thirty and that she woke late.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
You should have anticipated this.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
All right, well that is your yea tee. And of
course you know when we come back, we have under
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
in the headlines. They are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
It's in the.
Speaker 5 (20:03):
News that relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
It's way up at Angela ye, I'm angela ye.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Mano is right, and listen, let's get into these under
the radar stories, stories that are not necessarily in the headlines,
but we feel like they're very important. All right, Well,
let's start it off with Spelman College. They had a
historic moment. Of course, Spelman is one of the country's
leading educational institutions for women and science, technology, engineering, and math,
(20:33):
and they just got the largest single donation ever given
to a historically black college or university in the United States.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Here is what they got.
Speaker 14 (20:44):
What I am sharing with you today is a major
step to ensure more young women can achieve their dreams.
At Spelman College. Today, we are making history. Our long
serving board trustee and her husband, William Johnson, have decided
(21:04):
to donate one hundred million dollars.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Wow made us say, honey million.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
I mean, that is amazing, and that is going to
help fund student life and scholarships. The majority of that
donation will go toward endowed scholarships that will allow the
college to support students who are currently enrolled at Spelman
and also provide aid to others hoping to attend in
the future. And then some of that money will help
fund housing and other critical projects at the school. That's huge. Okay,
(21:36):
we love to see it, so, you know, shout out
to Spelman.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Huge statement.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Man in that donation, by the way, came from Rhonda Striker,
a billionaire business person who has for several decades led
her family's namesake medical equipment company. She's one of the
longest serving board members at Spelman and she and her husband,
William Johnson, have given significant donations to the college before.
This last one, though, is the largest, and they believe
(22:02):
that the reason she chose to donate to Spellman was
because of her long tenure on the board and she's
witnessed the impact of the college on young women who
go there, so.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
This should be an inspiration to everybody.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
All right, h New York City musicians zeeddi Will he's
twenty two years old. He recently had a baby shower,
but it was a joint baby shower.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
You know why.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
He had five women pregnant at the same time, legend
and so all of them were there.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
They also pose for a joint photo.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
On the connotation they will name schools after this guy.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Well, that is a school right there.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
The statues will be built in his likeness.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
This is very untraditional, but apparently everybody's on board with it.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Looking out beautiful family legendary.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
You know what may not.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
I hope you find out one person you're looking for asap.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Do you know any of these women? I just got
to check, you know, I always gotta check when I
see your story. Do you know any of them?
Speaker 15 (22:56):
Reason?
Speaker 4 (22:57):
All right, Well that is you're under the radar. And
you know we got that way up mixed. On a
Friday at the top of the hour, you know what
we're about to do. They'll celebrate in this room on
a Friday. Also, doctor Heavenly from Married to Medicine is
going to be joining us. And I promise you when
we come back, We'll be turned out. It's way up.
She's like to talk like they Angelie Jean, like they
Angelie Jean.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
And she's spilling it all. This is yeat way up.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
Mana was in the building.
Speaker 11 (23:27):
No Mayo, and.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Let's get into some Yea t Now. First off, I
want to talk about an exclusive that just came out
on TMZ. I know Mayno is excited to get married,
but you got to make sure all your things are
in order.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I told you what I need and I'm trying to
change my religion.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Okay, well listen to this.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Gennie My is asking a judge right now to kind
of hold off on enforcing the prenup. She says she
didn't have enough time when it came to her being
able to review everything. She says the prenup process was
so quick they started to go see eating just five
days before she walked down the aisle. She doesn't think
she was able to do her proper due diligence on
(24:05):
the agreement. She also says that she has significant concerns
about the adequacy and thoroughness of that process and her
legal team says that he only handed over one personal
financial statement with approximate taxes. She said she was legally
entitled to a thorough examination of all documents. I don't
know how this is gonna work because I don't know
(24:27):
if they'll take that into consideration. She signed it and
got married, so that's a tough thing. I've signed contracts
I wish I didn't sign.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
I ain't get a chance to look at it.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I mean I definitely have.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
I'm sure you have to sign things, and you regretted
it and like, damn, I should have read that a
little harder.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
All right.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Tams and Tams's manager Donawan have an issue right now
with atl Jacob. They said that he got to stop lying.
Here's what atl Jacob said.
Speaker 7 (24:55):
Agel was completely said no. So future porter relationship with Drake,
it was like, can you get.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
The song clear?
Speaker 7 (25:03):
So Drake had to call Tams to be like, hey, man,
clear is Did you ever talk to Tams and said
I'm glad you cleared the record. I talked to her
the Grammys, Like personally, I felt like she was a
little irritated with the with the wait for You song.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
Now, this was on the Butler Alert podcast, and so
Tams is saying this entire story is not true. Her
manager said, you even made up scenarios that never happened.
It's shocking how someone can be so bold yet so wrong,
highly disappointing. Do better, Atl Jacobs, And he said, I
gave my side of the story about me creating a
hit song after being inspired that was wait for You
(25:41):
by the song I sampled. He said, someone reacting so
negatively to a subject that met no harm shows a
lot out of all the good things I said about
Tims over the Year's just the only reaction I get.
And her manager said, dude, you have no side to
a story because all you said was a lie. You
know it's a great song regardless to how all right, Well,
(26:01):
that is your yeechee, And you know it is a
New Music Friday, so we got to talk about new
songs that are coming out today. We love New music
Fridays because it gives us some things to do on
the weekend in New York City. Right now, it's knowing
really hard outside, so you know we're going to be
inside listening to music. I don't know where you are
in this world, but a lot of flights have gotten canceled,
so make sure you check. But right now, let's get
(26:21):
into something that you could be listening to while you're
inside tonight, Neil Sexy Love as well with.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
It's relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
This is what's up. It's way.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
But Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee and my guy Mano
is here. He's my AWA advice giving friend and he's
going to help you out today. And so am I
eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty Bree,
what is your question?
Speaker 16 (26:45):
I want to know if my daughter she's almost to
see her grandmother on her father's sack.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Okay, what would be the reason that you wouldn't allow that?
Speaker 16 (26:56):
So when my daughter was two months, I came to
the stay to visit, and while I was alternatively visiting,
I got court papers about half custody telling me that
I can't go back to the state that I'm from,
and I had to go to court so I can
prove that I didn't stay here when I had her
(27:18):
and that I was in another state. And I just
don't feel comfortable with her being around my daughter after
she did that before on that I was letting my
daughter go over there without me and everything. Then she
did that, and I just don't feel comfortable. But her
father thinks I'm being mean and that his mother deserves
to see her.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
You should definitely let your child see their grandmother. That's family.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
She's never done anything to harm your child, right But
I understand you feeling a little warried because she puts
you through a lot, and so now you feel like, Okay,
I don't know what she might try to pull next,
but it seems like you guys have to work on
building rebuilding your relationship because that's still her grandmother and
you're not concerned about her like doing anything harmful right now.
Speaker 16 (28:04):
I'm not to be honest. I said that she can
see the baby. It's just that I don't feel comfortable
going over her house. I'm like, we can meet in public,
you can even come over here until I feel comfortable. Okay,
But she does want that.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Well that's fair, I think, and I was going to
say that too. You should be there until you feel comfortable,
as you guys are rebuilding your relationships. So what I
would do is say, look, it's an open door if
you want to come over here and see your grandchild
and then once we rebuild and I feel like more
confident because it's your child at the end of the day,
you know, and I know you want to do what's
(28:39):
best for your child, but you also want to make
sure that you're comfortable. So I would say, open door,
you know, come over here, and then once we feel
like we're on better terms and I'm feeling a lot
more stable and secure, then we can work on making
that next step happen.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
But I just need you to work with me.
Speaker 16 (28:57):
Right, That's exactly how I feel. But she don't want
it to way. She just wants the baby without me around.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Well, that's on her. Like that now, you put it
out there. If she chooses not to do that, then
that's on her. That's not on you. So if she
wants to come, come on over. But if not, then she,
you know, must not want to see her grandchild that bad.
Speaker 9 (29:17):
Thank you, thank you, all right.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
But but you can't be being nasty about it. Be nice,
like listen, I'm.
Speaker 16 (29:22):
Not I'm really not. I'm trying to meet a halfway.
I'm like, you can come over, we can meet places.
I sent her text messages, okay, the videos of the baby.
She still won't respond, yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
No, she has to respect that and she has to
know why it's that way, right. All right, Well, good luck,
but again you got to do what's best for your family.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Thank you, all right, take care well, thank.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
You so much, brief for that ask you question eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty in case you
couldn't get through. And when we come back from Married
to Medicine, definitely the star of the show, we have
doctor Heavenly.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
It's way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
Shut it U, way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
More now, what's up?
Speaker 4 (30:04):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
we have the star of Married to Medicine here with us.
Doctor Heavenly is in the building.
Speaker 8 (30:12):
Hey lady, how are you today?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
I'm good.
Speaker 8 (30:14):
How are you for making time for me? I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Well, thank you for making time for me. I've seen.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
First of all, everybody's always talking about you, and rightfully,
so you know that's a positive thing.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
But married to.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
Medicine ten seasons and you so you met your husband
in school, right, But what school was it?
Speaker 8 (30:32):
But Harry Medical College?
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Okay, it was a medical colleges.
Speaker 11 (30:35):
Yes, I went there with a purpose to meet and
get my mrs and my dds.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
To a EMD Okay, and so that's why.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
And now what you talk about purpose, Yeah, that was
my purpose to get married.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
It was yeah, your purpose? Okay, Well it worked, it did? Yeah?
And I know you brought Sweet Tea on the show, right,
you're the person that felt she should join the cast?
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Is that true?
Speaker 8 (30:55):
I can't take full credit for that. I encouraged her
to do it.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yes, Okay, how do you feel about that?
Speaker 11 (30:59):
Now a lot of things have been revealed to me
about what happened with Quad that maybe it shouldn't It
wasn't a great idea, like what.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
They don't want me to talk about it?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Who doesn't want you to talk about it?
Speaker 8 (31:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
She's like, I don't say it too much, you know
what I'm saying?
Speaker 8 (31:16):
All right?
Speaker 4 (31:17):
And then you know, Jess a few days ago, you
and Sweetea. It feels like this ongoing thing now between
the two of you and I saw the live that
kind of spun out of control. So now that that
has settled, because that was almost two weeks ago. Now,
how do you feel now about everything looking.
Speaker 8 (31:32):
Back that shouldn't have happened? You know how I do.
I trade like, who the hell called me?
Speaker 15 (31:36):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (31:36):
You know what I mean, that kind of stuff.
Speaker 11 (31:38):
And then when she said they, you said something like
the show was about to come back on, and she said,
I said, the hell with the show, let's talk about this, yo,
mama in hell.
Speaker 8 (31:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (31:46):
Oh that took me for a loop and I went
the wrong way. I'm not mad at it. I just
feel like I just went to hell with her and
that wasn't good. I shouldn't have done it. And I
apologize for the things I'm saying. I don't understand not
being able or may possibly having problems having children because
man came too.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Easy, so right, and that was a difficult topic for
sure for her to also have to deal with. But
my condolence is for what she said about your mom,
because I know your mom. Oh sure did pastor she
apologize to you. No, not to me directly. Somebody said
she did it online or something.
Speaker 11 (32:19):
But you know, I ain't even mad, because you know,
I'm cool with your mama jokes. I just probably haven't
processed my mama din h properly moren that yet, you
know what I'm saying. But my mama is your jokester.
She was a jokester, she would have laughed.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (32:31):
It wasn't that deep. I just took it there because
probably some of miss all feelings of.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
That doctor Heavenly from married to medicine is here with me.
Speaker 14 (32:39):
Now.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Another thing I want to talk about. So, you've been
married for what twenty six years?
Speaker 8 (32:42):
Twenty six years? We've been together thirty.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Years, twenty six years. Absolutely, that is amazing.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Now people look at your relationship from the outside and
they're like, it's so perfect, and I know your man
is perfect for you, But what are are there times
that y'all have had, you know, any child's and tribulations
that you had to work through?
Speaker 11 (32:58):
Absolutely ever cheated that I know of. If you know
what I'm saying, like the little girl putting that right now,
they're gonna say, she yeah, if it did, I don't know.
And if you look at my last blog, I told
you how I think about it. At fifty, I think
differently than a thirty year old, you know what I
mean about any of that. But no, he's never given
me a reason to think that he's and you know,
he's a good guy. He just really is. When I
look at reality TV. I don't have nothing to complain about.
(33:21):
Like when I look at the other husbands not coming
home for seven days, not working. You know what I'm saying,
talking crazy to the boy. You know, we respect each other,
you know what I'm saying. So when I look at that,
I'm like, dang, I.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
I'm good and you did what was it? Reiki?
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Is that what it's called reiki? So how was that
for you? Because you said you could feel a burning?
I was actually serious, No, I really felt something. I
don't know enough about it. I think it's some kind
of spiritual healing and energy or something like that. I
really didn't do more research about it, but I was
pleading the blood of Jesus all over it. So you know,
whatever it is uncovered after word, how did you feel like?
(33:55):
Did it do anything? Is it something that you like?
I would try this again.
Speaker 11 (33:58):
I think it opens up emotional feelings, like you feel something, ness,
energies present.
Speaker 8 (34:04):
Since they said it was in my heart, you know
what I'm saying. And I don't know.
Speaker 11 (34:07):
I'm alluding that that may have something to do with
my sister, so you know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
Ooh, and speaking of your sister, have you guys spoken
not really okay, but that is something that you do
feel really intent on making happen.
Speaker 11 (34:21):
That was my mother's last wish on her dying in
bed for me and my sister have a relationship.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
Yes, do you feel like she is receptive to being
able to?
Speaker 8 (34:31):
I think we need therapy.
Speaker 11 (34:32):
I think there's a lot of feels that I don't
even freaking know what they are.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Is this something you would do on the show, or
is that something that you feel like everything doesn't need
to be on camera.
Speaker 8 (34:40):
I think that everything does not need to be on camera.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
We have more with Doctor Heavenly from Married to Medicine
when we come back.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
It's way up put Angela Yee.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
You vib way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 15 (34:52):
More.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Now what's happens the way you put Angela yee? I'm
Angela Yee. And for the first time ever, we have
Doctor Heavenly from Married to Medicine here. Now do you
feel like the women's shade what it is that you
do like? It's not on the level of.
Speaker 11 (35:05):
I think that the the women envy me that I
work less and I make more. I'm not at work
all the time. I work three days a week, half
a day and I still make more.
Speaker 8 (35:15):
And that ain't no read that's just fact. It is though.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
I mean, it's a classy factual reason.
Speaker 11 (35:20):
And I chose it for that reason. I wanted to
be a wife and a mother. I wanted to outside life.
I didn't want to be on call, you know.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
And it's something that's much needed to Absolutely when it
comes to your nine different practices, you're also set up
so you can sell those.
Speaker 11 (35:32):
I've already done that. I've had nine different practices over time.
Now I'm in one one cosmetic practice.
Speaker 8 (35:37):
I've done that.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
I bought practices, I sold them. I realized that a
lot of dentists did not know business, so a lot
of times they would become over the overhead and I
would just get them on the low low pay cash
form and then build them up and sell them.
Speaker 8 (35:49):
I've been doing that for years.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
This is amazing, just the abilities that you have to
not just do what to do for a land.
Speaker 8 (35:55):
I could read it TV. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
I can't help it.
Speaker 8 (35:59):
I can't.
Speaker 11 (36:00):
I'm very versatile. I can sit here with Michelle Obama.
I can sit here with Mama d what you want?
Speaker 4 (36:04):
Are there ever things that you feel like looking back,
you're like, man, I can read it, but maybe I
went too far.
Speaker 8 (36:11):
No, they got what they wanted. They got what they wanted.
Speaker 11 (36:13):
I think a lot of times on the show they
don't show what they say to me, like for example
that lad with Phaedra, they saw what they said to me.
But on TV they want to say my mom and hell,
oh you get what you get?
Speaker 8 (36:26):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
They might cut that part out.
Speaker 11 (36:27):
Absolutely, they didn't because they say it's too dark. But
they say my stuff is funny. I don't think it's funny.
I be real doctor.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Heavenly if I'm married to medicine, is here with me? Now?
Have you met Pada's man? Which one I thought she
was dating a doctor and that well.
Speaker 11 (36:41):
Well, initially she was dating a doctor. She did a
casting with the doctor African guy. They didn't get to
release sign. I mean, I don't know if' supposed be plugged,
but it is what it is. But she is dating
people now. And one guy that she met at one
of my husband's events, who was a doctor. I didn't
introduce her, but he met she met him, and I
think she's dating a doctor now.
Speaker 8 (37:01):
Okay, I don't know if I could put that out there, but.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
A long haul.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
You've also said I saw this that Phaser has a
lot to talk about on the reunit. Yes, okay, so
there's gonna be some more things. Yes, you're like, I
can't get but and you know what, Honestly, I don't
know what they're gonna play.
Speaker 11 (37:18):
I'm not a producer. I think that I'm very smart.
I'm believe it, but I would do things differently.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Okay, would you ever want to produce a show? And
is that That's not what I'm interested in?
Speaker 8 (37:32):
No, but I damn show with a head quad in
the room with doctor G.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
Yeah, that interaction is to.
Speaker 11 (37:38):
See that interaction, like y'all missed, I ain't talking about
I'm gonna keep the mind job.
Speaker 8 (37:43):
I'm a dennist, but I know miss like if y'all
won't miss I don't want to excuse me.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
No, no, no, you gotta be you.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
No, you don't want me.
Speaker 11 (37:58):
They told me to be me on t G I
from when I was me. Everybody got mad, So I
try to come on bed, come on.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Okay, that's great, Thank you so much for asking.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
So how many patients come and they are familiar with
watching all of them, all of them.
Speaker 11 (38:12):
Very rarely do I get a patient that does not know.
And you know, we had to separate our office that
we actually have to put like a three hundred dollars
consultation so people just don't come. But the three hundred
goes towards your treatment, of course. But we have people, yeah,
because they had assurance and just coming in to take

Hey, Angela and May Now, this is Annie. I'm calling
from Detroit and you guys were just talking about like
why do women keep their last name after divorce? And honestly,
I think Angela really had a good point. Both of
my children are from the same man and we're not
together anymore. We're divorced now, but I want my kids
(40:41):
that resonate that puts them with me. I am their mother.
We have the same last name, and I'll change it
as soon as I get remarried.
