Speaker 4 (01:13):
Call us up.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Let's spread some love, Let's shine a light, Let's tell
everybody we love them, and let's kiss us through the phone.

the villa. Always a good time.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
We got to celebrate today, baby, and today I want
to shine a light on November Nichols. She's done something
amazing as a black woman. She has her own perfume company.
This all started when she started making candles and her
favorite candle company just continued her favorite scent, and then
she started doing her own fragrances because her friends came over.
They loved the way that the candles smelled. Now she

(02:02):
has a partnership with J. C. Penny and she's a
black woman, and it's this is the first time a
major retailer has gotten behind a black owned fragrance brand
in this way. They're launching thirty two of her scus.
You know how big that is. Thirty two of her
fragrances and J. C.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Penny.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
I'm owned and operated by a black woman. It's an
indie fragrance house, so it's very exciting for her. A
lot of times major retailers will get behind a black
owned fragrance, but it's only like one or two SKUs.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
She's got thirty two Masia and J. C. Penny. That
is huge for her.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So shout out to you, November Nichols, and you guys
make sure you look for her fragrance.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It's called Kevin C. H E.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
M I N So check her out. Okay, congratulations November. Now,
who do you guys want to shine a light on?
Eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
This is our guy right here. What's up?

Speaker 7 (02:51):
Mellow?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
What's good?

Speaker 6 (02:53):
What's the word? Are you?

Speaker 4 (02:54):
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Life is amazing?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Who would you like to shine a light on? And
I saw you got your Valentino by the way of course.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
First of if I was gonna shind a light on
you for that, you gotta be smelling like I'm.

Speaker 8 (03:06):
On my way to Jesus birthday party, right You're gonna
sind a light on you definitely for that? You know,
I want to shine a light on somebody by the
by the name of Erica Hollywood. You feel me, he's mad, dope.
She does a lot of content she does, she like
Phase Advanced and stuff like that. And I just want
to give her her flowers while she could smell them.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
So Erica Hollywood, she.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Understand Hollywood on the ground from the United States, New York.
For me, she plagued, lead in to the bag.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, pleasure, you feel me?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
All right, Mello, what shout out to Erica Hollywood. The
fact that you called up here to shine a light?
Let me know she's a special person, a.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Full fat definitely right for me. We want to give
her her flowers while she could smell them. Then essential
was great on everybody.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
But for her.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
All right, Well, thank you so much, mellow. We always
appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Well, that was.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Shining Light eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty. In
case you couldn't get through, you can always leave that
message and play it at.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
The end of the show and when we come back.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Man, trending topics today for sure, all right, we got
your yea tea and hot Girl summer is trending.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
We'll tell you why. It's way up.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid ab off this five.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Let's get it.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Oh yeah, Angela's feeling that yea tea.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
Come and get the tea.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
New May.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
That was a little bit slow.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
It's a little slow, but New maynos here right, let's
get into some yea tea. So Meghan this Dallion was
on Good Morning America today and she did confirm some
news about a tour this summer.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Here is what she said.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
We're having the tour this year.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
The Hot Girl Summer Tour is gonna be twenty twenty
four summertime. I feel like I've never been able to
be outside doing my own thing during the summer, like
since like twenty nineteen.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
So this is gonna be the first time.

Speaker 9 (04:42):
That I dropped an album on time for.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
The summer, all right now.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
She also talked about music and how that is therapy
for her, even though she's been going through a lot for.

Speaker 6 (04:52):
The past couple of years.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
Music just seems so negative to me. I just wasn't
in a good space mentally after everything that had happened
to me, and it just off fell like I'm tired
of this I'm tired of I'm tired of fighting. Like,
but I have to tell myself, you know what, I
don't want to give up. I love a lot of things,
but music is the one thing that I know I've
always really super tried at this fight.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
I just had to put it into music. And I
feel like it was like therapy.

Speaker 9 (05:13):
It was like a real diary entry.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Music is therapy though.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Bigfoot though what now? I'm just saying when I when
I hear her talk, I just think of.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
That NICKI and us.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Okay, all right, I'm well by the way Meghan the
Stallion's Meghan's Law line that she did in the song
His Apparently the family who Meghan's Law was named after
is not happy about the song. You know, the daughter
Megan Kanka was murdered by a sex preedator in the
nineties who wasn't legally required to identify himself in his neighborhood,

(05:47):
and that's who inspired Meghan's Law. So they don't like
the fact that this Meghan's Law name is in this
song and that there's curses in it and it's disrespectful
and graphic offensive way, and so I think, I mean, look,
I can't tell a family how to feel.

Speaker 10 (06:05):
I don't think she said I don't think she said
nothing about Megan's Law that was derogatory.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
It's yeah, it's not that. But I guess they.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Don't even like the idea of their daughter the law
named after that. I don't think there's anything legally because
they're supposedly considering something. But I don't know if there's
anything legally that they can really do about it, you know.
But let's talk about Bigfoot since you mentioned that. Kelsey
Nicole Harris, that is, of course, Megan the Stallion's former
best friend, has went to social media because people were

(06:35):
upset about the fact that she teased a remix of Bigfoot,
and Nicki Minaj actually posted it as well. And that
was done by a producer EXO from Houston that Kelsey's
husband manages.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Managed.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, the husband manages this producer. Here's what that remix sounds.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Like, sigh of a man. Well she not gil King.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
You can't cry shit, ma makes foot, but you're still little.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Small frod swim when you're long here.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
It's a little begging all fucking about Megan's Law for
a free beat.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
You get hit Megan, all right?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
So Nikki actually shared the clip as well and said
Republic might have to throw this up on streaming Whoa
and Kelcy Nicole Harris went on social media and said,
stop hating me working. Watch how this make mf's tap
into the city for real life was grinding in the
city before I got on that road.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Those that been watching me since twenty seventeen.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
No, when I was on the road, y'all was getting
turned down every time I tried to make ith happen
for y'all. So I guess she's saying we're trying to
eat also, and I don't know, I don't know. It's
a lot going on, but Nicki Minaji is gonna be
headlining the Wireless Fast alongside Doja Cat, twenty one, Savage
and more as well. In the midst of all this,
everybody is still working. Niki was celebrating her song actually

(07:58):
going to number one, and all these.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Songs number one yes on streaming services.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Really yeah, it's doing well, but mag the Staling song
is doing well also. I just want to point out,
so you know, maybe this music beef is good for
numbers for the labels, it is wins for them.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, people get they get into it all.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Right, Well that is your yet and when we come back,
we have about last night. That's where we discussed what
we did last night and why that's relevant to you.
And last night I had a good time and we
got somebody to open up and talk about things that
you would never expect would do such a thing.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
So about last night, la, last night I went down.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
But Angela yee, I'm Angela Yee and Mano it's here night. Yeah,
and it's about last night. Man know, you've been so
busy you haven't.

Speaker 10 (08:47):
Had time for me studio. Finish up this Lobby Boys
Part two.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Okay, Lobby Boys Part two is on the way. How
far is it along?

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Now?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
We almost did. We just did a joint with Ice
Wear Vessel.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Okay, I spent he was up there a guest hosting.
And then you know what's crazy. Everybody that I see,
Mano sees too. Like whenever people are in town, they
always go see Maino and sometimes they see me. All right, Well,
we love the fact that you've been working so hard.
You got a show on the way, right, you got
a new album on the way.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Okay, just check no.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Baby, all right, Well for me, last night I was
recording lip Service, and so today Lunell comes out. That
was We recorded Lunell last week, which was amazing for us.
Lunell was in town. She did her Broadway debut for Chicago.
She got to come out open the show to her
opening monologue, and she has such I love Lunell.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
She has such great energy.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Okay, yeah, she probably liked you. And then we record
for next week, and Betty the Butcher is going to
be on, and you know, he's been promoting his album
Everybody Can't Go Yep. And when I tell you lip
Service was definitely lit, you'll hear about Benny the Butcher
in a way you never have before. So that should

(10:15):
be a fun one next week. So that's what I
was doing. What's good about lip Service, and I know
you can attest to this is that people end up
saying things that never said any.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
At all.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Well, you know, the whole point of the show is
supposed to be just like tell Us a Secret, a
no judgment zone where people get to come in and
discuss things and uh, you know, talk about conversations they
don't have anywhere else to make the topic of sex
a lot less taboo than it should be in our community.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
We should be able to have.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
These conversations for me to make my Yeah, last time
you shock the world.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Look that up in case you don't know.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
But when we come back, I want to talk about
something else, right, And this is another way that perhaps
people can be uncensored with a neuralink implant in your brain.
All right, now, Elon Musk has been talking about doing this,
and now they have put this chip into the brain
of the first human test subject, and you said you

(11:17):
would be down to do it, yes.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
So everybody could see my nasty thoughts.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
I don't know if that's a good idea, you know,
I'm just sholling though, Just pick a side.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
We want to know if you would volunteer to be
a human test subject to get a neuralink implant chip
into your brain. This actually is going to be really
good for people who have medical needs that this could
help them.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Out, you know, because we could see what they're thinking.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Yeah, it's if you have a neurological condition, this can
actually help, you know, communicate with them. Yes, all right,
eight hundred two nine fifty. Would you be willing to
try something like this out? Its way up.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
But Angelie, it's not just right or wrong. It's about
what you believe. It's time to pick aside.

Speaker 6 (12:03):
And stay there.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
What's up its way up?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
But Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee and Meino's an ability
no Mayo, and we're doing pick a side. You guys
have to pick aside eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty. We're talking about the first human patient got
an implant from a brain chip startup called Neuralink, and
the person is recovering well according to Elon Musk. But

(12:26):
would you be a test person for getting this Neuralink?

Speaker 10 (12:29):
May No?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
You said you would do it a chip in your brain?

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Oh Tulin, how about you?

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Though I know I wouldn't, but I also do think
it's not really for me right necessarily, it's you know,
it's a medical reasons for wanting to have this chip
in your brain to be able to do things that
these signals that the chip will transmit can help you do.
And so I can understand why people would want to
do it. It helps with paralysis and things like that.

(12:54):
But let's see what you guys think. Pick aside eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty, and before we
do that, I want to say, I don't know if
I would ever want to be like a test for anything,
not at all, unless I was suffering from something and
it could potentially help me.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
That's when I see the front though. Yeah, that's a
different scenario.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I could sease you completely healthy and now I'm.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Good eight hundred two nine fifty. Pick aside, Hey mail,
what's up?

Speaker 11 (13:16):
How you doing? I love y'all show with the neural link.
They got the trial studies for that, but I'm nervous
about that. But I like the idea and I'm glad
of the topics that y'all talk about. I listen toe
y'all show, and I love y'all show.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
You man, y'all come a.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Little conversations that make you think and awaken.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
So I'm just I love y'all show.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
What made you hesitate as far as going to get
that chip in your brain?

Speaker 11 (13:38):
Because if the chip, like if somebody can control the chip,
or if the chip shuts down, that's the only part
that has me. I don't want somebody like try to
hack the chip.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Wow right, Well, you know what it does is with
this chip, it'll help you be able to like use
a cursor or a computer, just using your brain.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah, but if they hacked the chip, they're have them
Robin Banks. I never know.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
I don't know if you control you moving, yes, thoughts, it.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Wouldn't be fun.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
I've seen it before.

Speaker 11 (14:06):
I don't know, but I do like the part day
can read your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
You want people to see your thoughts?

Speaker 11 (14:10):
I would have a problem with that. I would have
a problem with that.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
What are you thinking right now?

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Be ready?

Speaker 6 (14:16):
I don't know they be ready?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
All right? Thank you, Mail.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
I think you.

Speaker 11 (14:21):
Show.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
I appreciate your show.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Thank you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Mail.

Speaker 11 (14:25):
Y'all have a great thing.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
What y'all doing?

Speaker 4 (14:27):
All right? You too? Shelly? What's up?

Speaker 9 (14:30):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Answer?

Speaker 10 (14:31):
Mal?

Speaker 12 (14:31):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (14:32):
I'm good? How are you say? How to man out?

Speaker 12 (14:35):
He?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Hello?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Would you put a chip in your brain so people
could see what you think?

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Would you volunteer for that?

Speaker 12 (14:42):
Of course I would. I was told that it just
wasn't well. I'm gonna tell you my issue. Two thousand
and six, I was shot six times by my ex. Okay,
so it left me. It left me paralyzed from my
ways down. I was told that it was supposed to help.
Of course, with final cord injury. Yes, it helps to
be able to, you know, like walk again because your

(15:03):
nerves connects to your brain work. So for me, I
would love to just try it because the more I
want to be able to walk again.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
You know that makes complete sense.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah, they said it's for paralysis and to help setting
that so you could not have to move, but be
able to like type things, use your phone, you know what, Shelley,
I'm so glad that you called today. Thank you for
sharing that with us because a lot of people see
this and they think this is some type of conspiracy,
but this is really a medical Absolutely, Yeah, this is
something that could really help people.

Speaker 12 (15:33):
Yes, and I've applied for it. I'm just hoping they
keeps them fingers crossed they want to stand to test
on me. But I would definitely do this.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
And they did say the first person got the chip
implanted on Sunday and they're feeling fine.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
So you already applied for it.

Speaker 12 (15:46):
I did. They thank you for reaching out. You know,
we'll keep you kind of on the list, right because
it's supposed to be so many people trying to get
reach out and make that connection so that they're able
to get it so I got cross.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
All right, we got our fingers first for you too.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
You should let us know if you got it.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, Shelley, check back in if anybody that works for
Neuralink doing these trials, look for Shelley. Hey, please get
me out, all right, y'all, Okay, thank you, all right,
thank you, Shelly.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
See.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
And I think it means a lot when we're reading
these stories, but then with somebody who really could benefit
from something like this, it gives it a whole new perspective,
you know.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
So thanks Shelley for calling.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
And when we come back, we have your Yet, Let's
talk about Isa Ray. She is talking about being independent
because of all these amazing black shows that have been
getting canceled.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
We'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
It's way up, they says, the rooms.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
From industry shade to all of gos so out. Angela's
feeling that.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
It's way up. And Angela yee, I'm Angela yee. Mayno's here.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah, I feel that man has been working so hard
he is exhausted.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
May No, let's get into some yet now.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Jon Rono Ray John Rondo was arrested on gun and
drug charges in Indiana. By the way, he was immediately released.
But this happened on Sunday. Apparently he was pulled over
and that was for a traffic violation, and according to reports,
there was marijuana coming from the car. They smelled that

(17:23):
and then the trooper found a gun and a small
amount of weed in paraphernalia. He was charged with drug
and paraphernalia possession and also unlawful possession of a firearm.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Now that unlawful charge.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Is because he has a protective order against him after
a woman in Louisville said that he threatened her life
in twenty twenty two. So you're not allowed to own
firearms if there's a protective order that's been brought against you.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Yeah, so we'll see what happens with that.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
But he was definitely released, and all the charges are misdemeanors.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
All right.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Isa Ray is wanting to be independent and I feel
like she has the power to be able to do that.
You know, Ish was canceled and I love that show.
It was only two seasons and I did not feel
like it was time to let that show go. And
it did really well too, That's why it was surprising.
But she spoke to Netaporter about black television projects being disregarded.

(18:15):
Insecure did amazing too, and I feel like Insecure wasn't canceled.
She just decided it had run its course and it
was time to let it go. And I missed it already.
I miss it still, But she said, it's already happening.
You're seeing so many black shows get canceled. You're seeing
so many executives, especially on the DEI side, get canned.
You're seeing very clearly now that our stories are less
of a priority. And she said, I'm pessimistic because there's

(18:39):
no one holding anybody accountable.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
And I can.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Sure, but also at what costs as far as being independent,
I can't force you to make my stuff. It's made
me take more steps to try to be independent down
the line if I have to. I mean, that's the
only answer, right, And I see a lot more people
creating their own streaming services and platforms tabstabos.

Speaker 10 (19:00):
Out of the James Wolves. When you ain't got no
other choice, you don't have no other options, you learn
how to.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Do it yourself.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yeah, so that's important to have our story is told.
But I think that you have to go where you
are appreciated and also know that your hard work is
not going to get canceled even when it's doing well.
All right, Quevo has introduced a new kgnak brand is
called white X.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
So that's this new thing.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
He's teamed with the Sazarat company to introduce this white
ex cognac. It's a brighter alternative to the darker drink options.
It'll be one of the first and only white cognacs
available in the United States. You know, Hennessy has that
Hennessy White, but.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
That's not available here.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
So White Ex Kgnak is supposed to have stone fruits
like white and yellow peaches and vanilla, and a refreshing
flavor that's similar to a crisp white wine, something that
maybe you want to try. Okay, all right now yah
seeing bay Aka most Deaf is talking about those comments
that he had made about Drake. You know, he had
discussed how he thinks that Drake is is more of

(20:00):
a pop artist. He was speaking about this on Instagram Live.
Now here's what he had said previously about Drake being pop.

Speaker 13 (20:09):
Drake is pop to me in a sense, like if
I was in Target in Houston, I heard of Drake's song.
It feels like a lot of his music is compatible
with shopping.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Well, here's what most deaf aka Yaseen Bay has to say.

Speaker 14 (20:27):
Now, Drake, if you would like to speak to me directly,
you can. At any point I reached out to spell
actually reached out to you. I DMed you. You are
a very talented EMC. But for me, I required more
of myself and others than just talent or charm or charisma.
And what I would like to see in terms of

(20:47):
creators or creative people in the world as it relates
to our culture, is for people to connect with us
beyond the jukebox.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Right. So, I don't know, what do you think man
as an artist yourself?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Did Drake rap his ass off? Like? I don't. I
don't get all like like like he raps?

Speaker 4 (21:07):
You know what? The thing is that he writes hits.

Speaker 10 (21:09):
He does it hits, but he can rap though like
and that's he's an MC, right, So that's what it's about. Now.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
You may not like his music. You may not. It
may not be.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Few, but I think he does like it. But what
he's saying is that it's more on the pop side.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
The supermarket comment was probably what took it.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
It was a shot though, that was a little shot.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
But it's definitely a shot.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
But popular music, that's what pop music is.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
And hip hop.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Hip hop ben pop music.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
It's been very popular. It is pop music at this
at this point since.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Twenty years ago.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
All right, well that is your yet. I'm sure we'll
discuss this more later in the meantime. We have under
the radar when we come back. These are the stories
that are not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying
under the radar. And here's a song I love It
gives me a nice nostalgic feeling. Here's Beyonce with love
on top.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
It's this in the news that relates to you. These
stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
What's up its way up at angela Ye, I'm angela Ye.
And Mayo is in the vanity You on time?

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Man, we like the time.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
We like it.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
All right, well, now let's get into some under the
radar stories. This is exciting and may know, I know
the type of person you are, you are gonna love this.
Universal Orlando has released the first details about a new
Epic Universe park. All right, so this is really exciting
about Celestial Park. This is something that I feel like

(22:32):
you're gonna want to go to.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
What is it.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Well, basically it is it's gonna have theme parks that
are going to be focused around Harry Potter and so
I've never seen a Harry Potter movie. I was just
talking about that. And they also have How to Train
Your Dragon Lands. It's going to open in twenty twenty five.
There's going to be five immersive lands that also includes
movie Monsters inspired Dark Universe and the previously announced Super

(22:58):
Nintendo World. So a new theme park that's going to
be opening in twenty twenty five. And yeah, I know
that's something that you're like a big kid. So I
feel like you're going.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
To like this. I don't know. I don't know about
the Highry Potter never watch.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
Harry Potter, but you still go to the park.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
You know, I'm not really Well, there's going to be
in park accommodations, fountain shows, a wet play area, a carousel,
a dual launch coast YEP, and theme restaurants and shops.
And then they said the gram centerpiece is Constellation Carousel.
It's an all ages attraction and you go on a
world through the Milky Way, so you go forward and

(23:37):
backward on constellations. But then there's three hundred and sixty
degree rotations. The park is saying it's a dance of
music and starlight. Yeah, I don't know about the most amazing.
If you look at the renderings online, it looks pretty amazing.
I've never even been to Disney World, so maybe this
is the time for me to go to life. No,
but I might have to go to this new universe

(23:59):
park that they're all right, And Valentine's Day spending this
year is expected to hit our record fourteen point two
billion dollars, So get ready because that's coming up in
a couple of weeks. Consumers are re prioritizing how they
are spending and who they are spending on. So now,
they said, in the past, shoppers have purchased gifts for

(24:19):
platonic relationships with teachers, with close friends, but they're less
likely to do that this time around, and so right
now they want to get back to the true purpose
of celebrating romantic relationships and not just those platonic ones.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
So yeah, I you say something, you got something for somebody, Not.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Yet, it's in two weeks. I haven't even thought about
what I'm doing tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Usually on time with your stuff.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
So you know what now I will thank you so much.
I'm gonna go ahead and plan this out. I'm a
little cash poor right now, so it's time to be
thoughtful something stop it all right?

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Well, in the.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Meantime, later on in the show, we got the Way
Up mixed at the top of the hour. Plus Ayisha
Hall is going to be joining us. She'll be on
My True Crime Story to nights. But get a little
taste of that before it comes on. It's way up.
It's like the chout like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jee.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Ye, Angela yee,
and Mana is here all nighters. Baby, It's like being
in college, you know, going back. All right, Well, let's
get into some yeat now. Twenty one Savage won a
three hundred thousand dollars bet against Kais and that yes,
and that is not Can you imagine losing three hundred

(25:33):
thousand dollars. It's a game of Madden NFL And here's
what happened.

Speaker 7 (25:44):
Here.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
I lose every take that down.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Man, would I still pay that? You kind of have to?

Speaker 3 (25:57):
But hopefully twenty one I was just like it's okay
for real, three hundred thousand blood, give me a chance
to win my money back? If you won three hundred thousand,
would you get a person a chance to win their
money back?

Speaker 1 (26:13):
No, let me play with that three hund Yeah, I'd be.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Like game's over. That's when you do have to know
when to walk away. You got to know when to
hold them all right. Ashley Darby and Gazelle Brian have
their new athleisure business.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
It's called g NA.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
If you guys watch Real Housewives at Potomac, that's gonna
be for Giselle and Ashley. And you know, they talked
about this, they announced it and I know they're going
to talk about it more on the next episode. But
they were taking Inventoria some pieces for the line and
also gave some more details about their joint business venture
just over the weekend.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
And here's what they had to say. We need to
people to know that this is serious.

Speaker 9 (26:54):
We're really doing it.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Leave it to GNA to fix all coochie sweat.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
So that's the main thing they said they notice is
a problem like when women work out akunci sweats and
so they're gonna put some extra material down there so
that you don't have to see that sweat stain.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
That sweat stain is very unappealing.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
And then sometimes it also be like the crack of
your booty sweats when you've been working out, and then
you can see that.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
So that was a nice invention.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Okay, do y'all sweat like do your what do they
call it?

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Back? What?

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Bat wings?

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I never heard of?

Speaker 4 (27:24):
You never. That's when the sticks to the side of
your legs like bat wings.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
I never heard that.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
No, and then it spreads and it looks like bat wings.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Nah, I never heard that.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
So do y'all have them sweatstains too? Down there?

Speaker 10 (27:36):
I don't Okay, I've never heard it. I never heard Yeah,
I'm specially I've never heard of bat wings.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Y'all heard that?

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Yeah, it's a real thing. Look it up. All right,
Well that is your yete.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Now when we come back, we have asked ye eight
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty is the
number you guys can call us up any question that
you have. I'm sitting here with the award winning advice
giver winning I feel like your name should be Germano
for this.

Speaker 10 (28:00):
I mean, I'm the greatest award, Winn, I give better
advice than you, though, I'm gonna be honest with you.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
This is not a competition.

Speaker 10 (28:05):
I just feel like my advice is because sometimes you
don't get the real like you don't want to.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I'm not trying to get people in trouble or fired.

Speaker 10 (28:15):
You just gotta tell him what the dude like. They
looking for direction and correction. But I'd be like, all right,
do it well.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
You could be harsh as you want to be.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
All right, ask ye. Eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty is a number.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Carl us up. We're here to.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
Help him, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts?

Speaker 6 (28:32):
This is as key.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
What's up? His way up with Angela?

Speaker 7 (28:35):
Yee?

Speaker 3 (28:35):
I'm Angela ye, and it's time to ask ye. I'm
here with the award winning advice giver award winning may No.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
All Right.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a number,
and Jason is on the line.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Hey, Jason, are you there? What up? Jason?

Speaker 3 (28:50):
We got Mayno here too, and I feel like he's
gonna help you out with your question today.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
I got you mane, may.

Speaker 11 (28:57):
I'm gonna keep it real with you. You know, I'm
gonna do for the hoods. I expect you to help me.
I don't wish you to help me. I expect you to.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
I got you more more or less.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
You know.

Speaker 11 (29:06):
I got a job and I do deliveries, and I'm
seeing a lot of beautiful women and I want to
approach him, but I can't. I don't know if I'm
lacking confidence or it's just I don't want to come
back into the same business. And I got rejected and
I got to see the people of it.

Speaker 10 (29:22):
Yeah, awkward, Well you miss all the shots that you
don't take.

Speaker 11 (29:25):
Bro, You right about that.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Well, Jason, tell me how you would approach a woman.
What would you say?

Speaker 11 (29:30):
I mean, the first thing I'm gonna do is ask
her a name or possibly compliment her.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Okay, a compliment is a good way to set Now
what are you going to compliment?

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Like?

Speaker 4 (29:39):
What would you say, for example.

Speaker 11 (29:41):
Her hair, her smile, maybe what she's wearing. If it's
a bad day, you and I might say something nice
or funny.

Speaker 6 (29:51):
Day.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Now, Jason, I'm gonna say this.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
If it's people that you see regularly, you know, an
observation on something like, oh you did your hair different today.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
I like that it looks nice.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
You got to be really careful and cautious on how
you compliment people.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
You don't overdo it.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Also, but it's.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Good to show that you observe because and that gives
an indication like, oh, he's paying some type of attention
to me. Okay, so now now what's next. You complimented
on her hair. Oh, your hair looks really nice. I
like the way you you know, the way you did
that today. That's fire.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Now I'm gonna tell you. I tell you what to do.

Speaker 10 (30:24):
Bro. You you walk in there that that day, after
you compliment it a few times and you pull it
a aside, and you say, I've been watching you, watching me,
and I know that you know it.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
I'm watching you.

Speaker 10 (30:36):
I know that you know that I'm watching you. Baby,
Look up right in there eye, look up right in
her eyes and say, baby, do you want me?

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Do not do that?

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Do you want me?

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Jason?

Speaker 11 (30:51):
I just want to say something. I'm dealing with all nationalities.

Speaker 12 (30:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Hey, listen, it's gonna work.

Speaker 10 (30:57):
Supreme confidence, bro, you can do it, supreme confidence, because
guess what if you do it like that, you know
she's gonna do she gonna laugh.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
And she's gonna say, oh, you're so crazy.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
Or d you know you know what?

Speaker 10 (31:10):
You know what Big said right once she grinned game
begin right?

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah, Okay, now, Jason, let's be more realistic because that
may not work. That's Mayno's game. I'm gonna say this.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
You don't come right out and get really obvious with
your intentions. You just throw a little hint out there
and see what the reaction is like, all right, And
I think saying something like, you know, I've always wondered,
what are some good restaurants in this neighborhood? You know,
something simple like that to see how she responds. Because
if if a woman says something like, oh, you know,
there's this great place we should try it one day,
you never know what could happen. But I just think

(31:46):
doing little things like that, like where is there good
to eat around here?

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Just asking questions.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
And even just you know, talking to a woman about
what it is that she's doing, being curious about what
she has going on, showing that you care, that you're
a good listener, that you're paying attention. Little things like
that can do a lot, and it doesn't have to
mean to them that you're trying to talk to them,
because just in case that's an awkward situation and you
have to continue to see them, you don't want to
have to do that. I don't want you to lose

(32:11):
your job or have anybody filing complaints about you. But
what we do want to do is see if if
the ball is in her court, how does she react,
and so just little things you can tell to see
if somebody has any type of interest.

Speaker 11 (32:23):
I appreciate that y'all shouldn't even be radio own. Y'all
should be like love gurgo.

Speaker 10 (32:28):
So now I am a love gloule. I'm telling you
what to do, man. And then when you got at
that table, are.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
You and to women?

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Okay? Stop it the only way that's if she already
likes you too.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
We don't you man.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Let us know what's approach you take and we'll follow up.

Speaker 9 (32:43):
Okay, all right, all right, thank you, have a good
one you too?

Speaker 1 (32:47):
All right?

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Well that was ask ye.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a
number you can always dmao too.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
If you want to go extreme.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Yeah, I got you.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
When we come back, ayeshah.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
My true crime story which is going to be on
VH one tonight she is being featured and we'll be
talking to her.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
It's way up.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
Were about to do this? Yeah, yeah, more way up
with now you know what it is?

Speaker 10 (33:09):
What is?

Speaker 4 (33:10):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (33:10):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
this is the epitome of way up. Ayasha Hall is
here my true crime story. But we actually I met
you before when you did the Breakfast Club and that
was for American Gangster Track Queens.

Speaker 9 (33:24):
Yes, yes, yes, shout out to BT for that.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
So let's give a refresh on the Ayisha Hall story
because even though we're gonna see my true crime story,
and that's the series that remy My actually voices too,
so she kind of narrates that. But let's give people
just a background on who Aysha Hall is because you're
from Long Island. But as far as my true crime story,
let's talk about what happened to you when you were

(33:50):
what twenty five years old?

Speaker 9 (33:51):
Twenty So at twenty three years old, I started a company,
APAG Financial. I knew nothing about this industry. It was
the trading industry, but I worked in the mortgage field.
So I had a client come to me who was
making a lot of money and wanted a big loan,
and I said, you know, I can't find a lender
to give you that much money. What do you need

(34:12):
it for? And he said, I need it for this
private placement platform a PPP, not the PPP they know
of today, going down for that different PPP. It still
went down for it, but a different PPP. So the
private placement platform was private trading where people traded commodities
like gold and silver and things like that. So it

(34:33):
was an industry I wasn't familiar with, never heard of.
But when I saw his income and I saw, you know,
what he needed as far as you know, the loan
amount it was a couple million, and I'm like, I
don't have a lender that's going to give you that much.
What do you need it for? He said, I need
it right now, and I need it for you know.
So I got curious and started looking up the information,
and I found out about this world that is basically

(34:54):
almost like a secret world that a lot of people
don't know about, the average person doesn't know about. It's
a trillion dollar industry where commodities are traded on the
private market. The requirements are insane. You have to be
worth tens or hundreds and millions of dollars to participate,
and I was just blown away by what the requirements were.
And that's how I got into the game.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Right now, I'm talking to Ayishah my two crime story
on VH one tonight. Okay, So you were trading and
it was gold right right.

Speaker 9 (35:19):
I wasn't trading myself. I was helping people qualify to trade.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
So you're like robbin hood.

Speaker 9 (35:25):
I was like robbing these doors.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Yeah, except that you know you can't do documents that
aren't real, right, and so.

Speaker 9 (35:32):
You were definitely can I was definitely a criminal in
that capacity.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Yes, But did you have any idea in your head
the magnitude of what it was that you were doing, Because,
like you said, you were only twenty three years old
when you started this company. You saw this money, you
might feel like, well, it's fine, they'll get in the door.
You're not thinking this is something that I could go
to jail for or did you know?

Speaker 4 (35:53):
And you're like, I'm willing to take that risk.

Speaker 9 (35:55):
I didn't. I knew that I'm making documents that are
false documents, so I knew that that was wrong, But
I did not know to what magnitude. You know, I'm
thinking like a fine or probation or something, because I'm
not stealing anything. I'm not robbing anybody. I'm like, I'm
helping people qualify for these trading platforms and they're using
their own money. You know, maybe a little slap on

(36:16):
the risk if they see these documents. But I'm not
stealing money, which in my mind would be the biggest crime,
you know, or making people think they were getting something
that they weren't getting, and that would be misleading people,
which I wasn't doing that either. The clients knew what
they were paying for. So in my mind at that time,
I'm covered, you know, worst case scenario. I can explain
my way out of this. You know, that's what us

(36:37):
tourists do sometimes, way out of stuff because we're always right.
And I just didn't know, you know, that I was
breaking so many federal laws. And I started off legal.
So when I was initially doing it, when I was
adding people to the accounts and doing all that stuff,
it was legal. How it became illegal is when I

(36:57):
didn't go through that process and I just start doctoring
up documents to speed up the process.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
So it's crazy that they don't check deeper into that
when we're talking about like thirty forty fifty one hundred
million dollars that they wouldn't go and check to make
sure and double verify these documents.

Speaker 9 (37:13):
Well, I had the bankers with me, so if they
did try to verify it, the banks were going to
verify it as well.

Speaker 4 (37:20):
So everybody was breaking a lot everybody.

Speaker 9 (37:22):
I'll never say the names, but I've had some multi
billion dollar companies reach out to me at that time.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
To do business with me and say, so the money
rolling is absolutely So what is it that you exactly
were charged with when you ended up going to jail?

Speaker 9 (37:35):
So I was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Aisha Hall is joining me on Way Up with Angela
Yee and when we come back, we're going to talk
about how she ended up getting caught and having to
go to jail and now she's being fished on my
true crime story on VH one.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
It's way up, oh.

Speaker 5 (37:51):
More, way up with Angela on now you know what
it is.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
What's up is way up with Angela Yee and Ayisha
Hall is here with me today. And so somebody actually
had a wire on Is that how you got called?

Speaker 9 (38:05):
Oh yeah, this was a friend of mine, right, And
I remember I had a big problem of always getting
kicked out of banks, and banks are set up kind
of for the average person to be broke, right when
you make too much money, it's a problem. You're red flag.
So when I would open my account with five or
ten thousand, and then within a month, you know, it
had four or five hundred thousand in it, it's a

(38:26):
red flag. So a lot of the banks, rather than
investigate what I'm doing, would say, we don't feel comfortable
doing business with you. Come in to bank and pick
up a cashier's check and go back elsewhere.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
Can we go back to this guy with the wire
for a second.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Oh lord, when you got back on that day, is
there anything that you're like I should have known because
something was off?

Speaker 4 (38:42):
Or was he really like acting normal?

Speaker 9 (38:45):
Well, when I was getting kicked out of banks, I
reached out to him because I said, what can I
do to stop getting kicked out of banks? You know,
He's like, well, bank over here with me. I work
at Chase. Let me set up an account for you.
Send me a check that I can start the account with.
So I'll send him a check for like five hundred bands,
So he was like, what the hell are you doing.
I was like, you know, I'm doing some different transactions

(39:05):
with trading and all of this. He was like, well,
how can I get in. I was like, you know,
it's a little gray, but if you want to get in,
I can help you out. So he was down with it,
and I didn't ask him to do nothing crazy. I
just asked him to prioritize my clients and if they
and if he gets any calls about my clients, just
say they are ready, willing and able to complete the transaction.
Don't give them no other information. So that's kind of

(39:25):
keeping him clean, you know what I mean. I'm not
asking him to lie about numbers and all of that. Well,
one day, when I paid him, somehow our counsel linked
and you're not supposed to be paying your banker. So
that's what put him on blast. And then I guess
when he was approached. You know, now, if he would
have just told on me, cool, but you were a

(39:46):
whole wife.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
That's you.

Speaker 9 (39:49):
And then you lure me to a restaurant, Yes, you
lure me to a restaurant. And I felt bad because
he lost his job. So I'm like, I'm gonna slide
you a little something and then you could come work
for me. I was talking real spicy. What if I
would have said some crazy rights, I could have caught
a whole another charge.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
So you ended up going to prison for over ten years, ten.

Speaker 9 (40:08):
And a half years, and in my sentence, I ended
up doing nine years.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
Okay, nine years.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Right now, I'm talking to Ayishah my two crime story
on VH one tonight.

Speaker 4 (40:16):
So how did you end up signing to ghost Face
of all people?

Speaker 9 (40:19):
That was really really dope? Okay? So I have two
friends that were already working with ghost Face, Dress Who's here,
and Wreak the Villain. So Dress actually I sent him
a record and he was like, I'm gonna send this
the ghost So he said to the ghosts, it goes
hit back like, oh she fire. I went on the
team just that simple.

Speaker 8 (40:36):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Okay, were you rapping while you were in prison?

Speaker 9 (40:39):
Like what I got through my whole bit rapping? You know,
I spent most of my time writing books though then
kind of running the prison anytime somebody snitched. Sometime I
walk in the unit and we don'ly got no TVs.
We're gonna locked down. So I'm like, what the hell happen?
Because I'm coming in from my job and I worked
at the wreck. Oh such a system. When told so

(41:01):
you gotta go deal with that, I'm here. I gotta
go because I was like the rat en for song.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Well listen, I said, you know, we're always going to
keep up with you. So I appreciate you for coming
through today. And I want to make sure that everybody
is going to be watching my true crime story. The
episode airs two nights. It's on VH one, right, yes,
VH one tonight. To make sure you watch your story,
but make sure you watch all of the incredible stories.

Speaker 9 (41:21):
Can I tell him about my book that you can
do anything?

Speaker 8 (41:23):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (41:23):
All right? So I have this really dope project called
Larry the Lending Lion. I wrote it in prison, and
it's a book about credit and financial literacy for kids.
Characters are like Larry the Linden Lion, Hippo, hecta, the
tax collector. You don't like him, we don't. We don't
like him, we don't, And he's definitely the villain in
the book. But it's a short read, but it's packed

(41:45):
with value.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
I like that you not do Wealth Wednesday up here.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
So's gonna bring my both Wednesday platform.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
But I understand the importance of all of those things.
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
I've been rehabbing this house and my credit score has
jopp because my credit card is so high.

Speaker 9 (42:00):
The good thing about credit is that when scores dropped
because of usage, as long as you pay it down, yeah,
will go back. It's temporary, you know, it's temporary. Now,
them collections and all that stuff, they need to holler
at me. They need to holler at me and my girl.
They need those collections off. They need to holler at
me in okay. So we doing this, yes, me doing
this and educating people how to do it themselves. Yeah,
that's the most important thing, over and over for somebody
else to do it.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Well.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
Thank you to Ayisha Hall for joining me.

about neuralink, the chip in your brain that is now
being tested. Lelon Musk is doing it. You know what,
if you can get a card that gives itself, you
can put a chip in.

Your brain as long as nobody hacks me.

Speaker 4 (43:08):

Speaker 12 (44:21):
That's the first way.

Speaker 11 (44:22):
Were gonna just a sign our whole entire lights. Everybody
needs to say no to that.

Speaker 4 (44:26):
