Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are now.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's a angelou what I call her yee Yes.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Happy Friday, everybody, That's what we've all been waiting for.
Fridays are also amazing because it's a new music Friday,
and there's definitely some new music out today. Mano finally
has his song out with Young Thug. It's called Poetry.
The video is out as well. Shut Out Mano. He's
getting honored today with a proclamation for his own day.
That day will be August sixteenth. Also, France Montana has
(00:37):
his new album out today and he'll be up here
on Way Up with.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Angela Yee to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
But in the meantime, let's get the show started the
only way we know how, and that is with some
love and positivity. Shine of Lights eight hundred and two,
nine fifty fifty is the number. Call us up, let
us know who you want to shine a light on.
It's way up with Angela.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Yee a shine a machine.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Shina light on, Shine light on.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
It's time to shine a light on what's up his
way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and it's
time to shine a light. That's where we spread some
love and positivity. Now, before y'all shine a light, I
want to shine a light on Sandra Douglas Morgan. You
know she made history a couple of years ago as
the first black woman president of an NFL sports team,
the Las Vegas Raiders. Well, most recently, of course, she
(01:27):
helped host the Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
She did an interview with The Cut talking about helping
host one of the year's biggest events, but she said
that she wishes somebody would have told her to be
more vocal in sharing her own goals, both personal and professional.
For her, it was always get a job, put your
head down, go to work, do your best, go home.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Repeat.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I always thought, do the job that's given to me
and chase those other interests on my own. But if
I had shared my goals with a partner at a
firm or someone a little more senior to me, maybe
I could have had those opportunities earlier. But she did
have a lot of opportunities. She was a chairwoman of
the Nevada Game in Control Board. She also was the
first black city attorney in the state and commissioner of
the Nevada State Athletic Commission. So she has spent a
(02:07):
lot of her professional career working to uplift athletes and
sports fans in Nevada. She is a Las Vegas native. Okay, well,
who do you guys want to shine a light on?
That was all about Sandra Douglas Morgan. Let's talk to Jamal. Jamal,
who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 6 (02:21):
I want to shine a light on myself and my company,
Diversity and Power. I'm a blind financial advisor and being
my team running a successful financial education company.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Okay, all right, we congratulations. What's the name of the.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
Company is Diversity and Power? You educating the community on
financial education?
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Okay? Oh well I love that. That's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
So you went blind, you learned about finance, and now
you are teaching and educating others.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
You're a blessing.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
I have a question for you, Andrew, a question I've
been fund of you for I know you do the
wealth Wednesdays?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Is it?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
And you have to come on and talk about building
wealth on the line.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
We'll get my producer to take your information and you
guys can figure that out.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
How does that sound?
Speaker 6 (03:06):
All right?
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Hold on? All right?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Well, that would shine a light and when we come back,
we have yet And let's talk about Wendy Williams. You
know that two part Lifetime docuseries on her life is
out tomorrow and we want to give you guys an
update on what she has been diagnosed with.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Its way up.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
This the rooms from industry shade to all of gossip
out send Angela's feeling that eye.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
What's up as way up? But Angela yee.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I'm Angela yee and it's time for your E team
Wendy Williams. Her new Lifetime documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams,
is out tomorrow. A film crew started in twenty twenty
two chronicling the next dage of Wendy's career, her plans
to release a new podcast, but as Wendy Williams health
takes a lead role in this, the whole plans shifted.
(03:55):
Production was forced to stop and pivot because she entered
a treatment facility for cognitive issues and her family lost
contact with her. According to People, here's the trailer for
the film where Wendy William's son Kevin Hunter Junior, is speaking,
My mom.
Speaker 7 (04:08):
Has done a great job making it seem like everything
is okay always, but in reality there's something wrong my mom.
She always talks about how she wants to work.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I feel as though she was working off.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
I feel like the Guardian has not done a good
job of protecting my mom well.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia and apaheesia.
Appajesa is a disorder that impacts communication, including speech writing
and the ability to understand language, and dementia is a
progressive condition that can result in changes in behavior, speech,
and disposition. Imagine what type of hurdle she's having trying
(04:44):
to get anything done knowing that that's what's happening with
her health. So you can watch that odd tomorrow. It's
a two part series again on Lifetime. Where is Wendy Williams?
And next up, Adrian Peterson is threatening a lawsuit now
apparently he he is auctioning office MVP Rookie of the
Year and Offensive Play of the Year trophies.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
It was in estate sale in Houston.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
But he's saying he's not the person that authorized the
sale of these trophies.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
It was actually a mistake. Here's what he said.
Speaker 7 (05:12):
I did not authorize the sale of any of my trophies,
and I will be taking legal action. Trusting his company
without supervision was my mistake. We allowed them to go
into several of our storage units with clear instructions.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
They clearly did something unlawful.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
He also wants you to make sure that you know
he is financially stable.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
All right.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
So most of the auction is clothing, shoes, football cleats,
and other memorabilia. He did not anticipate all of these
things being up for auction.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
All right.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Well that is your yee tea. And when we come back,
we have about last night. That's where we discussed the
things that we did last night. And I definitely had
a time yesterday, not just last night, but throughout the day.
We'll talk about it. It was hard for me to
communicate with anybody because my phone was down. But it's
way up at Angela Yee. About last night is next
last night?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
So about last night?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Last night?
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Last night, Eisa, I went down.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
What's up his way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee,
and it's time for about last night. Now for myself, yesterday,
I had quite a busy day. Not only did I
have to obviously do way up at angela Ye. But
I also was a keynote speaker for the New Majority luncheon.
The New Majority in New York City helps build political
power for all women. This actually started back in twenty
seventeen as twenty one and twenty one, that's what it
(06:30):
was called. New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark Viverto,
council Member Margaret Chen and council Member Elizabeth Crowley wanted
to elect twenty one additional women to the New York
City Council in twenty twenty one. That's because there were
only eleven women out of fifty one at the time,
twenty one and twenty one indoor, seventy four women and
thirty five open council districts, and successfully got thirty one
(06:53):
women into office. So I was the keynote speaker at
their fundraiser. You know how important I think local elections
are in politics and making sure that we are represented.
So being in that room yesterday and being the keynote
speaker at that luncheon for their fundraiser was amazing for me,
even hearing stories about some of the issues that may
not be brought up if people in those.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Districts aren't represented.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
You know, one of the council members spoke about a
young girl who was in seventh grade who wrote her
a letter saying that in shelters they aren't given access
to tampons and pads and things that you need, and
something that we think of as simple as that needed
to be part of the legislation to make sure that
people had access to that. Just think about the kids,
(07:38):
and they call it period poverty. Though those are sometimes
things that people may not think about that need to
be brought to the attention. But it is an issue
that women, you know, see on the forefront most So
there were a lot of different examples that were given yesterday,
But I am one of the people who strongly believes
that representation matters. A lot of that representation is trying
to be squashed, so we always have to make sure
(08:00):
we participate to help make a difference. So shout out
to New Majority. Also shout out to prong Horn. This
is an initiative that we started at Diagio. They had
a Culted Spirits virtual event yesterday and I was one
of the panelists for that alongside Terrence Jay. Prong Horn
announced a two hundred million dollar fund and a ten
year mission that's going to actually help black owned spirits brands.
So we love to see it. And those are the
(08:21):
things that I did yesterday about last night. There's more,
but guys, my head is spinning right now. I promise y'all.
Next week, I'm taking it easy when I get back
from Miami from the Sobi Wan and Food Festival. But
when we come back, we have tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number.
Any secret that you have, we want to hear about it.
I'm not here to judge you. Justin be a nosy.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
What's up? Its way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
And part of this show is not just showing love
but also not judging you. Okay, but I will say
it is nice to be able to get those secrets
out there to the world. Sometimes it's a burden lifted
off of you. Sometimes, y'all just entertaining. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is the number. And remember
you are anonymous, and remember there is no judgment.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Okay, It's way up with Angela ye. Tell Us a Secret.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Hello anonymous, color,
How are you?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
How you doing?
Speaker 4 (09:18):
I'm good. You want to tell me a secret?
Speaker 5 (09:20):
Yeah I do.
Speaker 8 (09:21):
I had sex with my Wow. I don't mess with
them no more. But it's just my friend's sister.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Oh yeah, And why is that a secret just because
it's your friend, that's like off limits?
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (09:32):
Now I was big on love you, but it was
like throwing it at me.
Speaker 8 (09:36):
Throwing it at me's calling me scary.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
Or whatever, and I just did it.
Speaker 8 (09:39):
I don't mess with them no more. So now I
don't care.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Okay, that is so funny that we could call somebody
scary and then it'll make you be like, I'm not scared.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Like my mailorhood?
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Who doew?
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Did that worked?
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I don't know think that works for guys, but I
guess it works.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Do you still talk to her though? At least?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:59):
I do?
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Ah, So you like her? Why did y'all fall out?
Speaker 10 (10:03):
She cool?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
She cool?
Speaker 6 (10:04):
That we grew up.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
I never thought I had a shot, but then I did,
and I and and made me regret like not hat
her before. Okay, so growing.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Up, so you were scary and I just thought I
wasn't the the part why did you guys? Why did
you and her brother fall out?
Speaker 8 (10:20):
Because it was like some persons were like the landlord
like live with them, don't I don't really put them.
I'm sorry, churtse I don't really mess.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
For no more.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Okay, So from let me together man with the landlord. Okay,
I can't I get it some money stuff? All right? Well,
thank you for calling it sharing with us scary?
Speaker 1 (10:38):
It thinks.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Anonymous calor how are you?
Speaker 11 (10:44):
I'm how are you doing?
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Oh good? Thank you? You want to tell us a secret?
Speaker 11 (10:48):
Yes, my secret is I have a really poppy land
barbe count and I told the other female rappers and
no one knows about it.
Speaker 8 (10:56):
But it's something that I love to do.
Speaker 9 (10:59):
Oh my godess he like she saves me.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Okay, okay, So you have a barber account.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
We don't know what the account is, but you troll
every like, what are some things that you say to
these other rappers as an example.
Speaker 11 (11:12):
Just petty things, nothing too personal, just things that could,
you know, make people laugh. It's not to be extremely mean,
it's just the troll a little bit in support of
all the barbs that niky.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Oh and when did you start doing it.
Speaker 11 (11:25):
I'm probably about a couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Has has Nikki ever tweeted you or retweeted you?
Speaker 11 (11:32):
No, she hasn't, but I wish she would. That would
be amazing.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
All right, well, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
By Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred
two nine fifty in case you couldn't get through.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
You know, I always still want to hear your secret.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
So you can leave a message and we play at
the end of the show where you got to have
the last word.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
But when we come back, we have yet and Club
Shay Shay another one we found out some more information.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Find out what star athlete lost forty pounds using cocaine.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
He revealed this on Club Say. We'll talk about it
when we come back. It's way up.
Speaker 5 (12:04):
She's about to blow the lead ab off this butt.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Just get it.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Oh, Angela's villain that yee.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Te Come and get the tea. What's up? His way up?
Speaker 3 (12:11):
But Angela yee, I'm Angela yee and it's time for
your yee t. Let's get into Michael's straighthand he has
revealed that his daughter Isabella, who's nineteen years old, had
a rough setback as she's fighting brain cancer. He told
his co host on Wednesday, things have been a little rough,
and Isabella herself uploaded a video where she said her
first round of chemo was one of the worst things
(12:32):
she's ever done in her entire life.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Here is what she said, first.
Speaker 11 (12:36):
Round a chemo experiences one of the worst.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Things I've stop ever in my life.
Speaker 11 (12:41):
So first week it was like fine, I could still
like eat, but.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
It just felt weird.
Speaker 11 (12:47):
Can you keep I don't know, you don't really think
you're gonna get like poison put through your body poison?
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Well, Michael Straighthand did year on GMA that the support
their family has gotten from their personal circle as well
as people on line, has helped them a lot during
this difficult time, so he did thank everybody for that.
And Damon Dash is being forced to sell his Rockefeller shares.
He does not want to do that, but a New
York judge has ordered that Damon Dash has to hand
over his shares of Rockefeller because of a refusal to
(13:16):
pay an eight hundred and twenty three thousand dollars judgment
to a movie producer, Josh Weber. It was a defamation
and copyright infringement lawsuit. After a dispute over the film
Dear Frank. Now, both jay Z and Biggs, who are
co owners of Rockefeller, have objected to that ruling by
the judge. They said that the company by laws that
mandate approval from the Border directors to sell off shares.
(13:37):
But the judge put in a fifteen page decision that
shut down those objections and says that Damon dash is
one third ownership of Rockefeller is personal property that can
be seized to satisfy his judgments. I wonder if they
could lend him the money so that his one third
won't be seized if it means enough to them. All Right,
we'll keep you updated on what happens, because maybe there's
(13:58):
a way to resolve this. And Johnnyman did an interview
on Club shayshe of course, and revealed that after being
cut by the Browns in twenty fifteen, he lost forty
pounds because of his excessive cocaine.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
News Here's what he said.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I was two hundred and ten pounds when I left Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
I was one hundred and seventy pounds sitting in Vegas
that August, September, October.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Whatever it was, later in that year.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
How you lose forty pounds, you're on a strict diet,
a blow.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
You know.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Previously, he revealed that he had a plan to kill
himself following his departure from the Browns.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
He was self sabotaging.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
But in that conversation that he had with Shannon shopp
on Club Sha Sha, he also, by the way, apologized
to Drake for the Drake curse. He said, you know,
he's the most positive energy, the greatest aura, and maybe
he picks it wrong sometimes and the people, teams or
whatever it is that he bets, but that's life. I mean,
when you bet, you are betting against somebody, right, all right,
well that is your yeete. And when we come back,
(14:54):
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar.
These Stanley tumblers. There is now a new lawsuit. People
were paying so much money for these trendy oversized Stanley
thermis cups. They were viral. It was a must have item.
And now there's two lawsuits over these Stanley cups. All right,
we'll talk about it. And under the radar it's way up.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Check the news news.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
What's up as way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
I'm Angela Yee and it's a Friday and it's time
for under the radar.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Now.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
There's a new lawsuit that says if those Stanley tumblers
that people were going crazy for that went viral on
social media was a must have item, they failed to
disclose the presence of lead in those Stanley tumblers. It
says the company new or reasonably should have known about
this leed issue for years, but chose to conceal it
from the public, presumably to avoid losing sales. And by
(15:50):
the way, you can still get these cups on sale online.
So several customers said they performed at home tests on
the cups, with some allegedly testing positive for lead.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Stanley Daily sus statement.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
They said the material use for the insulation steel at
the bottom of the products does contain some lead, but
it's covered with stainless steel, and no lead is present
on the surface of any Stanley product that comes into
contact with the consumer, nor the contents of the product.
I mean, it sounds like the best thing to do
would be to make these lead free period. Okay, And
the FDA has green lit a new drug on Friday,
(16:22):
last Friday, and that could be life changing for people
with severe food allergies. Zolayer is a proved to help
reduce severe allergic reactions to certain foods and adults and
children over the age of one that includes nuts. Though
by the way, those nut allergies are no joke. People
really die from their allergies to nuts. This will provide
a treatment option to reduce the risk of harmful allergic
(16:44):
reactions among certain patients with IgE mediated food allergies. It
won't eliminate your allergies, but it will allow you to
consume food allogens freely, and repeated use will help reduce
the health impact if accidental exposure occurs.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
Right now now, there's no cure for food allergies.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
The only known treatment is avoidance of that food and
then having that EpiPen in case of an immediate emergency.
And Toyota has recalled about two hundred and eighty thousand
pickups and SUVs because the engine may not disengage entirely
when in neutral, so it kind of goes forward a
little bit. It creeps forward at a low speed when
it's on a flat surface and no brakes are applied,
(17:22):
and so that's increased risk of a crash. I used
to dream a lot that my car breaks wouldn't work.
So imagine your car is in neutral. You think it's
not moving, but it's creeping forward. So that recall is
one of three in the United States that the company
announced on Wednesday. They're also recalling another nineteen thousand vehicles
over a software problem that means the rare view image
may not display within the period of time required by
(17:44):
US safety regulations. And then four thousand Toyota Cameri and
Cameri hybrid vehicles are being recalled over safety issues with
the head restraints on the rare fold down seats that
increase the risk of injury during certain collisions.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
All right, I'm the Angela Yee and that is your
under the radar.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
You know, we got the Way Up mixed at the
top of the hour plus It's Friday, New Music Friday,
and French Montana is gonna be joining us.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Ways like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela jee Man.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
This is yeaky way up.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
As way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
it's time for your ye t. James Brown's daughters, Deanna
Brown Thomas and Yeah m Brown have talked about how
they were able to forgive their dad after they saw
him beat their mother, Deirjar Jenkins when they were young.
They told people that it hurt them seeing their father
be violent toys their mother. They said, when you see
a family member being hurt, you're not feeling the best
(18:40):
about the person that's hurting them. I was flat out
upset mad with my dad at that moment. I still
go back to that place every now and then, not
to be little my dad, but flashing back over my
own life and the domestic violence situation in my life,
thinking how much of that shaped me. You know, people
don't understand how things like this really transferred down to
your children from what they say what they witness.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Sometimes it's the exact opposite. And if for.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Guys, if their dad does things like that, they're the
exact opposite. Sometimes they emulate that behavior. But for young women,
for the fact that she was dealing with her own
domestic violence situation, you know, after seeing her dad do that,
you just don't know what's going to happen for generations
to come. Na Yama said she was only six years
old and she intervened, and she said, it's an unfortunate
(19:24):
time in anybody's situation, anybody's life. If they've ever had
to go through domestic violence, they know what that's like.
And it shows that he was human because he was floyed.
But it's also a time to show grace. That's how
I think about it. Who But she also did say
both the daughters said their father was never violent with them,
but the other daughter, Diana, said, there was a time
when I didn't like my father. I didn't like him
(19:45):
because of this type of behavior. I saw a lot
growing up. I heard a lot growing up that could
have damaged me for a lifetime. He never had any
type of raids towards us because we were his children.
That was a situation between a husband and a wife.
That's a different type of love. Na Yama said that
James Brown did apologize to their mother, not to say
that that was something that erased everything, but knowing he
had compassion in his heart, and my mom was receptive
(20:07):
to that. So shout out to Yama and Deiana Brown
Thomas for being honest and speaking their truth. I think
that can be really helpful for a lot of people
who have witnessed things like that. All Right, and Normani
has announced her debut solo album. It's called Dopamine. I
can't believe that she hasn't put out an album yet.
She's been putting out singles. I think she's super dope.
You know, she got started with Fifth Harmony. She was
(20:28):
always my favorite. So I'm excited. But she posted crying
typing this right now. Dopamine the album. We don't know
what the release date is, but we do have some artwork.
And Jay Farah is going to be hosting a new
Fox game show called The Quiz with Balls. It would
pit brains against balls. It's a high stakes quiz show
with a physical competition. Each episode has two families competing
(20:50):
for a hundred thousand dollars and a battle of the balls.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
This could have went either way.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
This is actually a show that premiered in the Netherlands
and it did really well. So now it's hairy in
the United States and you can expect to see it
premiere this summer. All Right, I'm Angela Yee and that
is your yet, and when we come back, we have
new music. It is a Friday. We'll tell you what's
out what you should be listening to. It's way up,
what's up?
Speaker 4 (21:11):
His way up?
Speaker 3 (21:12):
But Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee and it's time for
asking yee. This is where you guys call in and
I give you some advice. And today we have a
caller from our voicemail. Listen to this.
Speaker 10 (21:21):
I have a question.
Speaker 9 (21:23):
I have been dating this guy for two years and
next month will be our anniversary. About two weeks ago,
I found out that he was cheating on me.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
He pocketiled me while he.
Speaker 9 (21:35):
Was with someone else, and I heard the actual act
on my voicemail. I have ended the relationship, but I'm
still so madly in love with this man and it's
tear me apart and I just don't know what to do.
Can you help me please?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
I have to be honest. The very same thing happened
to me.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
I didn't hear them having sex, but my ex boyfriend
pocketled me and I heard him with another woman talking,
having a whole conversation. I was actually in the car
with one of my friends, so we both heard it
because it was on the bluetooth and the speaker in
the car, and I did hang up and call him back,
and he denied it and then.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Pretended he was at his friend's house.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
But anyway, the story ends like this, Okay, I did
give him another chance after that, even though I knew
that he was lying and cheating, and guess what, he
did it again and again and again. And so the
question is, you know, being madly in love with somebody
and knowing that you've heard that, I don't know how
you're gonna get over that, because when you're madly in
(22:33):
love with somebody and they do something like that, it
is so hard to fathom why.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
And I'm not saying that people can't change.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
They can, but they have a lot to prove, and
he would have a lot to prove to you. Now,
I think ripping that band aid off and actually breaking
up with somebody is a great first step. But you
have to be patient with yourself and know that of
course you still love this person. Of course you're upset,
of course you're hurt, of course you want him back.
Those are all normal things. You can't and your feelings off.
(23:01):
But you also have to know every day is going
to get better and every day that you're not being
disrespected or knowing that you're laying in bed and your
man is out possibly cheating on you. You know, those are
another day that we get a little bit stronger every
single day that passes and every minute that passes. And
so I just want to say to you that unless
(23:21):
he shows some tremendous effort and trying to repair things
and show you how he can fix and change things,
which I think shouldn't be anything, that he should easily
be able to come to you and say, you know,
you have to stay away from him, because otherwise he'll
think that he can just keep on doing what he's doing.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Because you're not going to leave him anyway.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I would say, you need to lean into the fact
that you're hurt, and that's fine. You need to make
sure that you keep yourself occupied. I gave myself a
rule when I was with my friends. I was like,
do not let me continue to talk about him all
the time. Let's talk about other things. That was the
only way that I was going to be able to
move on and get over it, and it did help
me tremendously. So I am wishing you all the best,
(24:02):
and every day is going to be hard, and that's fine,
and who knows what the future of my whole because
one thing I also learned is that later on down
the line, when you find the right person, none.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Of that from the past matters anymore.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
So the only way you'll find the right person is
to cut out all that negativity and block out all
of the things that you don't need. And he sounds
like something you don't need in your life, all right,
that is your answer for ask ye. Eight hundred and two,
nine fifty one fifty is a number in case you
couldn't get through. And French Montana is going to be
joining us when we come back. I wonder what type
(24:35):
of advice French would give, because I feel like he's
been that guy that's butt out somebody before.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
We're about to do this.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Yeah, y'all more way up with Angela on now.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Let's get it going way with Angela Ye.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
I'm Angela yee and the changed new MANO is here
in the building.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
What's up? That's up?
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Well, mcachee five is officially out now out. Congratulations on
this project.
Speaker 12 (25:02):
You've been consistent, bro, Thank you. Let me ask you, though,
do you feel like people give you a credit for that.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
You ain't gonna get no credit. I mean, you're from Brooklyn, man,
you know, big sad, and you know you nobody to
somebody kill you.
Speaker 8 (25:13):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
I don't say that it's real talk because I feel
like the intro alone just says a lot, like these
are the questions that you get asked all the time.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Oh yeah, well things that people have been saying.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, and interviews and yeah, things that people say.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
And I see it's more rare for you to like
respond to certain things.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Now, Yeah, you know what it is. I stopped doing
interviews and people, you know, instead of me doing the interview,
I was like, you know what, let me just interview
myself in the first song. And I know exactly what
I felt, like what people want to hear, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (25:42):
But I feel like, you know, when you're at a
certain level, man, like we ain't even trying to straighten.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Out no rumors, bro.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
I heard you heard, man, Like what you know what else?
I learned to lawsuits? I first of all, for the
first time in my life, have been getting like people
trying to sue for things.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Yeah, I just I just saw somebody try to suit
me for my dog biting them for two million dollars.
I just saw that dinosaur. Yo. Bro, It's like, I mean,
I'm never in my house. I don't know. I mean,
you know, I don't like, I don't know what the
situation is like him, I was like, Yo, what's going on?
(26:18):
So I don't you know, I don't want to speak on.
I don't like speak on.
Speaker 12 (26:21):
Right, you speak about about death and all that. Right,
we in a time right now where a lot of
rappers is dying. You had a video shoot I think
he was in Miami and got fired. Like do you
think about that? Of course, I'm traumatized. I'm traumatized.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
So thinking about it like this, imagine getting shot at,
not knowing what the what the coincidence is, and after
you get shot at, you get sued. So the people
that got shot at treating you like you don't want
that shot them when you got shot in the certain way.
So it's like, yeah, it's crazy. I mean, it's it's
it's like making make you don't even want coming down
people that know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
And that's why you said your circles a lot smaller.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, became a dot.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
It's a dot Right now, I'm here with Mano and
French Montana's in the building, and now let's talk about
the album because I see, you know we were talking
about earlier. It was supposed to come out in January.
We saw a different track list than what we see now.
So tell us some things that happened, because I see, like.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
I never put out that track list. Yeah, I never
even saw.
Speaker 12 (27:16):
Those songs real, Like the Big Pun joke.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, I got a song with Drake Big Pun, that
one I'm in the talk about with them in the future. Na,
that's not that's not even a song, dollars. Little TJ.
It's not even a song. Little TJ hit me like, yo,
we got a song. I'm like, yo, bro, you know
damn well man, you a song? He was like, nah,
(27:39):
I thought you chomped.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
I would clear that.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Nah, that's not a song either. Nah, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
That's so funny that somebody put together a whole fake
track list.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
That's what That's what I'm saying me. Chris Brown Capella
Gray hit me too, like, yeah, we got a rung
ound Like.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
No, bro, why didn't you the Drake song on here?
Because I saw people were saying what happened to that.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Because we got a documentary coming out together, and I
feel like it's a better look that we dropped, you
know what I'm saying. Okay, you know, and it's and
it's more of a summertime record of big punk as
we call a big punk for a special reason.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Okay, we can't wait to hear that one.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, you've probably got so many songs in the TUK too. Yeah,
and with Kanye, because he's on a couple of songs here.
Was that specifically for your album or were you guys
working and then you were like, I'm gonna take this
for mine because I know Kanye is.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
I think we were always just working. Like he had
lockdown a hotel for like thirty days and we just
locked in and made a bunch of songs. And when
it came time for me to drop the album, I
was just like I was going through records. I'm like, yeah,
I love these right here. Because there was a lot
of records that I had that I didn't put on
MC and Jee's five because it's because it's street mix shape,
you know what I'm saying. It was like a lot
of things don't fit, so I just grabbed like because
(28:48):
he got even a sound on his new album now
that that I love. But you know, with MC and
jee's five, it's just like Sampools and it's just like
the boom back and it's just like back back to
the streets. So it was these two records I love
and I put them on here.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
French Montana his new album is out today, and we
have more with him when we come back.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
It's way up, more, way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Now what's up this way up with Angela?
Speaker 11 (29:12):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
I'm Angela ye man. It's in the building, and so
is French Montana. It's New York.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Heavy, creation of kings everywhere, the coke boys.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Oh boys, creation of kings everywhere. Truly humble under God.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
That coke stands for a creation of kings everywhere, not
what you think it is exactly.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
You don't ask Coca Cola what this stand for?
Speaker 4 (29:33):
Well, it actually used to be.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Absolutely that's a terrible example.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
I didn't know that you were something original, Coca Cola.
A boy, what about.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
All these Hollywood women you lay down with? What about
the Hollywood donkeys? But I'm just saying you referenced a
lot on the on the album.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
You know, Hollywood ladies.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
No, I'm just saying I have my fun in Hollywood.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
The times when you're like, I can't believe that I'm
with this person.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Yeah, I mean I have my friends share. I have
I have times when I was watching TV and I
had the person next to me like there wasn't nothing
wrong with that, you know. I have to have my
friends share, you know. I want. I went to Hollywood
and I have fun. You know what I'm saying, I'm
still having fun.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Hollywood are reality show women.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
I just love the person for who they are. We
get what we get. He just got something something I
just felt like sometimes when you deal with with these
powerful women and this and that, it just takes away
from what God truly blessed you with. You know what
I'm saying. The media eyes, you know what I mean?
(30:55):
You want to like, I want people to focus on.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Mac and cheese five right now, I'm here with men
and French Montana's in the building. This is a nice
moment for me though, too, because I'm from New York
and I've known both of you guys from my serious days,
you know, and this this year is like my twenty
years in radio all the way up you know, and
I just feel like I remember friends coming to the
bowling parties, you know, early on and Rissa Mendez running around.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
You're watching y'all show. I was like, yo, I gotta
do I gotta do this on our release, I was like, yo,
na I may no, No, it's a double trouble. That's
what I thought. The show's gonna be called trouble because
she's consistently been getting me in trouble for years. But
it's your own Honestly, it's a home run.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Yeah you said it's a home run.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yeah, this shows a home run.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Well, thank you. I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
And so it is a full circle moment for me,
like just having thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Y'all.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
Both also look the same, you know, aging that well,
both of y'all. We do like side by sides of
back then.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
And where y'all are now, we look better what you mean?
Speaker 3 (31:56):
I think the Golan life is always to of course,
like age, I think is a blessing.
Speaker 12 (32:01):
There's also energy too, though you gotta be careful with
your energy, like the energy that you that you put
out there in your circle. We talked about having a
you know, tight circle and stuff like that and taking
care of yourself.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
You know, at the end of the day, do you
feel like there was a time you had bad energy
around you and you had to fix things up?
Speaker 11 (32:18):
Hell?
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, everybody have bad energy, absolut point.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
Everybody doesn't get out of it though you learn from
it though.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Like how Homeboys said Medea, who was like, you know,
when when the rocket go up and then people can't
go up that high and attached it come down and
keep going up, that's real.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Did you say, like Medea said, what's what's his name?
Tyler Perry? I'm so mad that you just said the.
Speaker 12 (32:42):
Same person though it's the same person Media said that though.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
It's crazy because because I know media more than Tyler
parent because you watch media, so was your movies. You're
like a real person. It's a real person.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Well, congratulations again. I'm so happy that you came. This
is your first time way up Double Trouble.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
So we appreciate that all the way up.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
I'm gonna be honest, I thought of that, but I
really got it from Big Sean.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I'm way up.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
I feel I think it's both be about to send
this injunction.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Maccheez five is out now. Congratulations, Are everything amazing? It's
gonna be a vibe for you guys to watch and

Speaker 4 (33:53):

Speaker 3 (33:56):

I met this good at the club right nights listen Good?
What the band?
Speaker 1 (35:03):
We did our say?
Speaker 8 (35:04):
We went to the crib. You know, we got it on.
You know. Some of the months go past. I go
to my family reunion. I see helped with the same family.
She turned on that I got old time. She my
whole cousin. I ain't never said nothing to nobody before.
I felt so embarrassed and No, I did not continue
to have thanks to a main No.
Speaker 10 (35:21):
I just want to shine a light on all the
ladies that have been cheated on inside their life. And
I'm just saying that because the female has called me
about her man. This was a year ago that me
and this man was messing around. But I did tell
her we messed around. I ain't tell her all the truth,
but she need to know that her man, and like, yeah,
I want to try the line on all the females
(35:43):
around the world that been cheated on that don't deserve it.
We love you, and it's somebody out here that loves you.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Going way out with Angela Yee
