was watching Mia Koppa, so I had a chance to
finally see that movie. I also watched the first three
episodes of BMF and that show is coming back tomorrow
and Lala is going to be joining us today. So
(00:33):
shout out to Lala, who is heavy on there. Okay
these first three episodes. As a matter of fact, the
new season starts off with Lala, so you have a
chance to see that starting tomorrow. For everybody that loves
to watch BMF. There's a lot of guest appearances in
Atlanta and in Detroit this year.

and have not outside at all these crazy parties that
people were attending. But in the meantime, let's shine a light.
Eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty is
a number call us.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I've spread some love. Let us know who you.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Want to shine a light on again. That's eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one to fifty Shine a light.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
It's way up, shin, I'm a.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
Shine Turn your lights on, y'all spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
It's time to shine a light on.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee, and
it's time for shine a light. And today I want
to shine a light on somebody who is a former
MLB player with the Yankees, Bernie Williams Now. He has
a lot of passion for music and also for raising
awareness of interest to show lung disease ild. It's a
rare condition that took his father's life. Today is rare
(01:48):
disease day, and so that's why that is particularly important today.
He was motivated by his personal experience as a caregiver
to his dad, and that's why now he's combining his
two passions in life, that's music and family, and he's
doing this Tune into lung health dot com program. It
explores how music and breathing can help people cope with
(02:09):
the physical and emotional disease burden. So he's also got
a performances at Cafe Carlisle April ninth to April thirteenth,
and that's when he will take the stage. I didn't
know he was an acclaim guitarist, but yes, he will
be playing the guitar and doing things in support of that.
So today, if case you didn't know, is Rare Disease
(02:29):
Day again, So shout out to everybody who's been a caregiver,
who has anything that they're dealing with right now, we
want to acknowledge that today. Now, who do you guys
want to shine a light on? Eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty fifty is a number? Ace Who do
you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 6 (02:44):
Great? I want to shine a light on myself. I'm
an affirmation book author, donated one thousand books across New
York City public schools all out in my own pocket.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
What's the name of your book?
Speaker 6 (02:54):
That book is called Dear Black Boy, seventy five Affirmations
to Get you through. It's exclusively embalms and and I've
done over fifty career days in the last year just
giving it away at schools. You're trying to support our community.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Tell me give me an affirmation right now. That's in
the book.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
You are a nuanced That means you're not meant to
fit in, you are meant to stand out, and people
you're supposed to be in this world, no one's made like.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
To Okay, I love it.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
All right, Well, thank you, dear black boy. Make sure
y'all pick that book up.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
What's your name?
Speaker 6 (03:23):
I'm Ace Clock. Please follow me at hclock music. I
also had a song coming out with Coded the Friends
on Friday.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
All right, all right, thank you so much for calling.
Let's show some support.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
All right, take care. All right, Well that will shine
a light.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
And when we come back, we have your yea te
and let's talk about Kelsey Meg thee Stallion's former best friends.
She has done her first ever interview. We'll tell you
what she has to say. It's way up.
Speaker 7 (03:47):
She's like the talk like they and Jelie Jean, like
they and Jelie Jean.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Man, She's spilling it all.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
This is yeaky, way up.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
All right, I'm angela. Yeah, it's time to get into
that ye t. Let's talk about weight watchers and Oprah
Oprah has announced that she is leaving the board and
the power of OPRAH. These shares plunged twenty seven percent
after that announcement. You know, she also recently talked about
taking weight loss medications, and so it feels like ano
(04:16):
they're trying to figure out ways with these weight loss
programs and with these weight loss drugs to how you
incorporate those two together.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
She's been on the Board of Directors since twenty fifteen,
and she said, I look forward to continuing to advise
and collaborate with weight Watchers and the CEO and elevating
the conversation around recognizing obesity as a chronic condition, working
to reduce stigma, and advocating for health equity. She's also
going to be donating her financial interest in weight Watchers
to the National Museum of African American History and Culture
(04:46):
that's in Washington, DC. Right she has about ten percent
stake in weight Watchers. Kelsey and Nicole, that is MEGANE.
Stallion's former best friend, is doing an interview. It comes
out March third and full it's with the A Project.
And in this interview, in the trailer, you can see
that she is going to be discussing the night of
the shooting.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Here is what happened in the trailer.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
That morning, I woke up and I had said a prayer,
So it's something that's not for me. Show me that,
and that night it was like destruction. I'm positive there
was a video. There had to have been one. When
it comes to a point where alcohol takes over and
you become a different person, it's time to let that go.
Speaker 9 (05:26):
It's that night, the night that you actually found out
about the betrayal.
Speaker 8 (05:29):
So yeah, it did end up coming out that night,
believe it or not.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
That was my last time ever seeing her, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
So a lot of people were weighing in on this,
and it is interesting because when she took to the
stand in the trial, she did not say much. So
if she has things to say on this podcast as
opposed to when she was on the stand, we don't
know how that's going to affect her because when she testified,
she also presented contradicting statements from a previous interview with investigators.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
So we shall see what happens.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
And people are saying that there's a tape that it
does exist, but nobody has confirmed that that is or
is not true. From that night Also in this video
at the end you hear the song Bigfoot playing in
the background. That's the dis track that Nicki Minaj did
about meganis Stallions. So doesn't feel like it's all good
in the meantime for Tory Lanez, he is appealing a
(06:18):
ten year He's filed the new a pill over his
ten year sentence, so we shall see what happens. I
follow Megan Kooneff, so she's the one that initially was
talking about that filing. She said, the most surprising thing
about the brief is how quickly it was filed. Many
other appellants get more deadline extensions. This fast turnaround could
mean we have a decision from the second district by
the end of the year. Not sure if that's a
(06:40):
good or a bad thing for him. All right, well
that is your yet. And when we come back, we
have about last night. And I did what I said
I was going to do last night. By the way, guys,
I am on day four of my fast, so I
am not able to go out and eat and do
things like that.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
So I'm China lay Low.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
So I did go home and watch Mia Kopa and
I also watched the first three episodes of BMF. So
I won't give you guys any spoilers on that, but
we can discuss mea Copa.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
It's way up last night? So about last night?
Speaker 10 (07:08):
Last night?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Last night, Yes, I went down What's up?
Speaker 2 (07:12):
It's way up at Angela yee, And we're doing about
last night and last night. I did what I said
I was gonna do. Like I said, I'm on day
four of this fast. I haven't eaten anything, but I
have been having water, coconut water tea, also some herbal
tea when nothing added to it. So I've been trying
to stay in the house so I don't get tempted
to eat outdoors. But anyway, so I did a movie
(07:35):
night last night. I finally watched Me a Copa. Everybody's
been talking about it. It's been on social media trending.
I think everybody in this room has seen Me a
Copa if I'm not mistaken, and I would say this
about it if anybody else wants to weigh in. I
think that the acting was good, the cast was good.
That's why made people want to watch it. I see
why it's doing so well on Netflix. The script, though,
(07:58):
I think, left some things to be desired, like with
the different twists and turns. I feel like in the
beginning it had potential for it to be like amazing,
but then it was just the different twists and turns.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
I wasn't thrilled with that. It is a thriller.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
It's beautifully shot, and I will say, like I said
before the cast, you know, the acting that was on point.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
I was fine with that.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
I also see why the guy who plays her husband, col,
he was on Sisters, and all of a sudden they
kind of swapped him out for somebody else his character,
kind of like they did for the mom on The
Fresh Prince, and so I was like, what happened?
Speaker 10 (08:35):
Now?
Speaker 2 (08:35):
So he's in this movie too, though it's a Tyler
Perry movie. What did you guys think in the room, Dan,
I know you watched it.
Speaker 11 (08:41):
Personally, I thought it was trash, Why no shade. I
thought it started off really good, like you were saying.
I thought I hated the end. I thought they kind
of like took too many turns. When I mean, I
don't want to give too much away, but I mean
the ending, I just like threw my hands up and
I was just like, all.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Right, it's interesting because it has like a twenty one percent,
I think on Rotten Tomato. And so the reviews are
not good, but it doesn't matter because people are still
going to watch and it's still going to be a
number one movie. And shout out to Kelly Rowland by
the way she did and Tavante Rose like that. Both
of them did an amazing job in their role. So
(09:21):
regardless to all of that. And then I told you
I also watched the first three episodes of bing Map,
so I can't say too much about that, but Lala
will be here joining us today so she can talk
about it.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
So again, they're in.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Atlanta, in Detroit, in you know, in BMF right now,
they're still split up in these first three episodes, and
then you'll see how things are going to play out.
But Lala is still alive, she still has a job.
So just in case you were watching the last season,
I had to definitely do a refresh. I couldn't remember
how it ended, but she had gotten shot, and so
that's how the new season starts, with her in the
(09:55):
ambulance and the hospital and all of that.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
All right, Well, that was about last night.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
The other thing that happened yesterday was the new episode
of Lip service came out and that episode features Tracy
T from Atlanta and also DJ Sheen and you also
and he's from Barbados. Tracy T is of course Cash
Doll's uh significant other. They have a child together. And
DJ Sheen you know him from the very popular heads,
(10:20):
so does n these and tos. So anyway, we talked
about whether or not you would share locations when you're
dating somebody, and here's what they had to say.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
I'm cool with it. I ain't sneaking and creeper, so
it's all good and no one.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Tracy says, yes, I ain't trivia, I need to have
your team.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
You look uncomfortable. I don't mind.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
You can have it once you watch it, all right.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
So Tracy T and she both said they're fine with it,
but she does not want you watch in his every move.
What do you guys think about sharing locations with the
person that you're with. Are you okay to do that
or is there a certain point when you decide to
do it, like when you're engaged or married. Is that
something you could do while you're dating or do you
feel like I'm not sharing my location with you. We'll
talk about it when we come back eight hundred two
(11:05):
nine two fifty one fifty Pick a side. Are you
down to share locations or are you saying no way
am I doing that? And what's the reason why eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty pick aside.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
It's way up at angela ye. I'm angela ye, and
it's time to pick a side.
Speaker 12 (11:27):
Now.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Today we are talking about a lip Service episode that
just came out featuring Tracy T and DJ Sheen.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
We were discussing sharing locations.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Would you share your location with your significance other Here's
what happened on lip service.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
I'm cool with it. I ain't sneaking and creepy, so
it's all good and no one make so, Tracy says, yes, sting,
I ain't trivia.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
I need to be having your team. You look uncomfortable.
I don't mind.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
You can have it well once you watch my.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Probably with it all right now, Dan, would you share locations?
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Yes, I currently do with Okay counsel.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
And it was a safety thing for you at first, yeah,
kind of because she also works in the industry, and
she'd be out at events late night.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
So I think I was the one that initiated the conversation.
Speaker 11 (12:08):
But then obviously when I asked for hers, it was
a no brainer that I'd give a month, but I
wasn't worried about it.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
What about you?
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Uh, No, nobody's ever asked me to share a location.
There's never even been a conversation.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Would you I don't. I would have a problem with it.
I'm either at home or at work.
Speaker 11 (12:23):
Would you be the one that checks out my coffee.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
Shop all night?
Speaker 2 (12:26):
No, I don't even check Instagram or do anything like
that barely, and so no, that's definitely not my style,
only because I don't have a lot of time. Now,
if I didn't have a job, and if I wasn't
working all day every day, I probably would. All right, well,
let's see what you guys think. Eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Mickey, Would you share your location?
Speaker 7 (12:46):
No? No, why not? And I don't want them to
share their location with me either, So it needs to
be trusted, and I don't want nobody to control Amy. Well,
I don't want to control anyone either.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
What if it's a safety thing, no, you know I
have a phone. I'll okay, well that's a strong no.
Thank you for calling?
Speaker 7 (13:05):
All right?
Speaker 10 (13:05):
Got that?
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Hey JS, how are you hello?
Speaker 9 (13:09):
I'm good?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
So talk to me about sharing locations? Do you do
that with your with your.
Speaker 9 (13:13):
Bab I'm actually single right now, but while I was
singing on it is I would share a location within
the first year. I feel like a relationship is how
you started off. When you have a best friend or
somebody that you love, somebody that you trust, you want
them to know where you are so you can be safe.
Of course, it's not about being nosy, and you don't
want to be with somebody that feels like you're being nosy.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
All right, So you're saying yes, all right, well, thank
you for calling, Thank you?
Speaker 9 (13:36):
Ay bye?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Hey, al, how are you andel?
Speaker 7 (13:39):
I love you girl?
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Okay, let you too. Would you share your location?
Speaker 13 (13:43):
Though?
Speaker 7 (13:43):
Of course it's Trump's versus loyalty and I saw.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
A lot John, So you're sharing.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
You share your location with your with your lady, shared
with both of them.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
What trust versus loyalty?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
So you have two women and they both know where
you are, So how do they feel when you're at
the other girl's house?
Speaker 7 (13:59):
I mean, she'd be knowing and she'd be calling me
on the spot. So I can't answer because it's like,
I take them both serious. So it's like if I
ain't gonna answer the phone, I ain't gonna answer the phone.
I'm with you, But when i'm well hard, I'm still
not gonn answer the phone because I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
So they so they both know about each other.
Speaker 7 (14:15):
Yeah, that's the crazy part.
Speaker 14 (14:16):
I know.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
And you have their locations too.
Speaker 7 (14:18):
Yeah, I got both of their locations.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
You know you need to watch down now Rowland stand
up comedy.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
He said the worst thing a woman ever told him
was whatever you're doing, I'm doing it too.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
I love them both though, but that's the picky part.
I don't know who to choose.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
All right, Well, at least they know where you are.
Thanks al, thank you. I don't know if he counts.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
What's up? Ten bandman? How are you? What's going on?
I'm good? Thank you?
Speaker 2 (14:40):
With Are you down with youring locations when you're in
a relationship.
Speaker 12 (14:44):
Yeah, but it gotta be reciprocated.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Okay, So she gives you hers, you'll give her yours. Yeah,
have you ever done it?
Speaker 12 (14:51):
And my girlfriend just see that it was a disaster
though why it was more so I'm doing it for you.
You're not doing it for me or where you at.
And you know it was a disaster.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
She was using it to check up on you.
Speaker 12 (15:04):
Yeah, but I feel like if you don't want to
give up that location, that's because you want you trying
to spend a block.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Okay, So it's a trust thing because it maybe they
want to make sure that they trust you. But then
it could be a disaster if they're always checking up
on you exactly. But but you're down to do it
still even though it was a disaster, Yeah.
Speaker 12 (15:23):
In twenty twenty four, I mean stouted. So if it's
no comfortability for me to give you my location or
or whatever the case may be, and it's gonna make
you comfortable and our relationships don't ease it, yeah, I'll
do it. But if it's for it's just to po me.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Now, okay, all right, that's hard to tell the difference though,
but thank you.
Speaker 9 (15:41):
You have a great.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
Imagine she pop up somewhere all right.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Well, it feels like most people are okay with sharing
their locations. Just like Tracy T said, and just like
DJ Sheen said, make sure you watch that full lip
Service episode, by the way, really funny one. And when
we come back we have your et. Let's discuss ditty
some more. There are some more people with allegations against him.
It's not always just about the sexual assault though, It's
(16:05):
other things too. And this woman says she was harassed
for the past twenty four years.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
But tell you about its way up, yo.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
She about to blow the lid above this spot.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Let's get it.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Oh yeah, angelus billing at yee tea.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
It's way up by me, Angela. Yeah, let's get into
some yeet all right.
Speaker 7 (16:22):
Sell.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Natania Rubin she is the woman who was shot in
the face during that infamous club shooting that happened that
Sean ended up going to jail for back in nineteen
ninety nine, and she is insisting that Diddy is the
person who shot her in real life. Here's what she
had to say on social media.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
While they were putting me under, I was screaming, Puffy pull,
pump me in the face, he testified in the Criminal Child.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
It is in the record.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
They all knew he did it.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Everybody knew he did.
Speaker 10 (16:51):
It, but he paid off the club and all these
other people and the club owners with their video to
hide the video.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
That's his, all right.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
She goes on to say that she was harassed for
the past twenty four years after that happened, so imagine
what she's going through with that. But Shine was convicted
of criminal possession of a weapon, assault, and reckless endangerment,
but found not guilty of attempted murder. He was sentenced
to ten years in prison. And even though witnesses said
they saw Shine and Ditty shooting in the club that night,
(17:22):
Diddy was acquitted. All right, Now, let's move on to
what Jamil Hill had to say about Diddy.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
And everything that's been happening.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
She was talking about these allegations on her podcast, and
here's what she said.
Speaker 14 (17:34):
I think his reputation is the damage is irreversible. I
don't think anybody in their right mind wants to do
business with Diddy. It's not just about Diddy, It's about
the people that have become part of the empire is built.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
Like I think about Revolt. I know a lot of
people work.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Over at Revolt.
Speaker 12 (17:51):
These are really good.
Speaker 14 (17:52):
Talented people, and I'm wondering what's going to happen to
them because of all of this, because anything right now
with Diddy's.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Name on it is toxic, all right.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
There are also allegations that Diddy had underage women at
some of these parties that were recruited by his son
and by Stevie j. But Ditty's lawyer, Sean Holly is
saying the individuals that were in the photographs are of age.
During a recent conversation with TMZ, the attorney claims that
one of the women listed as a miner came forward
to inform her that she was actually an adult, and
(18:23):
that woman has decided to keep her full identity private,
but she did provide the outlet with the photo of
herself wearing the same bodysuit she claimed she was wearing
in the photo, and she says she is thirty three
years old. The other women listed as a miner was
actually justin Colmbs's girlfriend who was thirty two years old.
So that is some things that his lawyer is saying
in his defense.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Now.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Ditty's accuses attorney in the meantime, Tyrone Blackburn, that's Rodney Jones.
Little Rod's attorney is firing back because people were questioning
his claims about these allegations that Diddy forced him to
watch a video involving STEVIEJ having sex with another man,
and basically he was saying that Little Rod got the
video from Diddy, and Diddy told him that it was STEBEJ.
(19:05):
So if he was wrong in those claims, it's only
because Diddy told him that.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
So a lot going on here.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Tiffany read in the meantime is the person who spoke
out about Cassie and about the things that she witnessed
during Diddy and Cassie's relationships. She spoke out during Cassie's lawsuit,
and here's what she had to say, because she is
also suing Diddy.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Now, I don't want to do the drugs.
Speaker 9 (19:27):
I don't want to.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
You want to know why I don't got a bunch
of hits for all y'all that are like, she ain't
got no hits.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Them hits was behind me, laying on my back. That's
why I all got them records. So I quit the thing.
I love the thing. I'm amazing at the thing that
God blessed me with.
Speaker 10 (19:41):
So there you have it.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
I'm still in buff I'm still in inner, so I'm
still in epic.
Speaker 14 (19:45):
I'm sewing bad Boy for all the music that I've
written for Cassie that was derailed.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I'm sewing from my career that they took from me.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
All right, well, we'll keep you updated on everything that
is happening with this case. Diddy has been trending non stop.
There's so much along with this. But that is your
yet and when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are flying under the radar.
They may not be in the headlines, but we want
to make sure you know about them. One of them
is about a historically black college in Detroit and what
they have done that is amazing.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
It's way up this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
It's way up at Angela Yee And let's get into
some under the radar now. And HBCU in Detroit has
opened a state of the art footwear studio that's in
collaboration with foot Locker.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
That's pensol Lewis College.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
According to the president Dwayne Edwards, he said, you have
every machine you need to make a pair of dress,
shoot sneakers, or boots all in there.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
You don't see it at many schools.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
The way that we have it laid out, and our
partnership with foot Locker allowed this to happen. So these
students can now design and manufacture shoes at the foot
Locker Footwear Creation Studio.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
I love this.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
I actually went to pensol Lewis College to speak to
the students and they had a competition where they were
designing the student lounge that PEPSI actually did for them
and those students when I tell you, amazing when you
have a chance to see what they came up with
and the design, I was like, I want to work
with these students because that's really really dope. So shout
out to them for that, and shout out to the president,
(21:12):
Dwayne Edwards. He actually comes from the footwear business. So
for him to get that college and make it into
an HBCU, that's the only one that actually focuses on design,
the only HPCU that focuses on design.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
That's a great thing, all right.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
And there's a wildfire burning across the Texas Panhandle right now.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
It has scorched more than one million acres.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
It's the largest recorded blaze in state history, according to officials.
So far, there's thousands of evacuations, power outages, and at
least one person has died. According to reports, this has
spread really quickly due to heavy winds, extremely dry grass,
and unseasonably warm temperatures across North Texas. The governor has
issued a disaster declaration for sixty counties that will allow
(21:55):
fire response resources to be quickly deployed, but Texans are
to limit activities that could create sparks and take precautions
to keep their loved ones safe. So prayers out over there,
all right, Well that is you're under the radar now,
you know. We have the Way Up Mix at the top.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
Of the hour.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Plus Lala is going to be joining us today. BMFH
is coming back. And by the way, according to reports,
Big Meach is going to get out early too, so
he should be home in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
So that's a big deal. But Laala will be joining us.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
We'll be talking about the new season of BMF alongside
all of the other great things that she has going
on besides the acting. But the Way Up Mix, that's party.
It is a Friday eve on a Thursday.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
Let's go, they says, soothing the rooms from industry shade
to all.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
Of gossip out, send Angela's spiling that e et.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
It's way up with Angela ye, Angela yee, and it's
time for your eet. All right, get ready for Freak Nick,
the Wildest Story Never told. We all know this documentary
has been coming, and Hulu has unveiled the first official
trailer for the documentary, and here it is.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Freaknick was the greatest Black gathering in America.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
The Interstates, the highway, what's a street park.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
There weren't even a word called twork, and it was
called booty shaking. They won those social media failia Internet.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
The legacy of Freaknick is black joy, black self determination,
black love, black excellent, black enterprise.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
But the legacy of Freaknik is also the ugly side,
all right.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
So that is going to be on Hulu March twenty first.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
And if you see the trailer, Jalen Rose is in
a little John Killer, Mike twenty one Savage, Jamain Dupree,
Uncle Luke, a lot of people that were around, a
lot of record executives, people who were at Freaknick. I've
never been to Freaknick, but you know, I'll be definitely
interested in watching this documentary, all right. And Jack Harlow
has launched his hometown festival with says A headlining with
(23:51):
Vince Staples and Moore the inaugural Gazebo Festival that will
be May twenty fifth to the twenty sixth in Louisville,
so get.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Ready for it.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
That at that time in Dallas at the Toogather Festival,
so I can't wait for that. Also, Lip Service is
going to be headlining the podcast stage on the twenty fifth,
so you guys make sure you come out to that
as well, all right, And Larry David is paying tribute
to his childhood friend and co star from Curb Your Enthusiasm,
Richard Lewis, who died at age seventy six after suffering
(24:21):
a heart attack. His publicist announced that yesterday. You know,
he's most recently known for playing himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm,
But Larry David said, Richard and I were born three
days apart in the same hospital, and for most of
my life he's.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Been like a brother to me.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
He had that rare combination of being the funniest person
and also the sweetest. But today he made me sob
and for that I'll never forgive him. So rest in
peace and our condolences to his family all right. Andy
Cohen is denying claims from Leah mcsweeney'slawsuit from Real Housewives
of New York. She filed a suit on Tuesday, and
she named Bravo, Andy Cohen, NBCUniversal, and the production house,
(24:58):
Shed Media, and the producer as well. She alleges that
while aware of his issues with alcohol and with her
issues with alcohol and fragile mental health, producers co werced
and coaxed her into drinking alcohol while shooting two seasons
of Real Housewives of New York and one season of
a spin off show. And she targets Andy Cohen specifically
in this lawsuit, accusing him of playing favorites with those
(25:20):
who party with him. She says that Andy Cohen engaged
in cocaine use with housewives and other Bravo celebrities that
he employs, and housewives with whom he uses cocaine with
get more favorable treatment and edits. That's according to the lawsuit. Now,
Andy Cohen has denied these claims, and according to her
rep they told the Hollywood Reporter, the claims against Andy
(25:40):
are completely false. It's outrageous that anyone would make a
claim that Andy does cocaine with any housewives. All right,
well that is your yet and when we come back,
we have asked yee. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty is a number. Call this up any questions
that you might have. We are here to help you out.
In the meantime, let's woosah with some Thames and free
mind to waybody.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
Since with its relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
This is as gee, what's up? His way up with Angela? Ye,
I'm Angela yee, and it's time to ask ye. Eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number.
If you have any questions, I'm here to help you.
And today I have Tiffany on the line.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
What's up? Tiffany?
Speaker 9 (26:20):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (26:21):
Hey, how are you?
Speaker 4 (26:22):
I'm good? Thank you? How you feeling.
Speaker 10 (26:24):
I'm feeling okay, a little conflicted, but.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
I'm okay, all right, I'm here for it. What's your question?
Speaker 9 (26:29):
All right?
Speaker 14 (26:30):
Ye?
Speaker 10 (26:30):
So I had a best friend of ten years and
recently I found out that he's been cheating on her fiancee.
Now we all are friends, we men in college, okay,
and I feel badhead because he's a really really great guy,
like he does so much for her and they are
supposed to get married in May. Now again, I'm friends
with the both of them. I met him at the
(26:52):
same time, so nobody's over the other person, and I
feel like I should say something to him, but I
don't want to win their marriage for their potential here,
So like what.
Speaker 14 (27:02):
Do I do?
Speaker 2 (27:03):
I think all you can do in a situation like
that is say something to her about it, about are
you sure you want to get married?
Speaker 4 (27:11):
You're cheating on him. I'm not comfortable with this.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
I'm friends with both of you, and if you plan
to tell him, you should tell her that.
Speaker 10 (27:19):
Okay, Yeah, I think I'm going to tell him because
I don't like the way she's treating him. We had
a conversation already and she says she's going to stop,
but she hasn't.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
So I'm going to tell him, and you know, be
prepared for the fact that maybe they're still going to
get married.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
If you have some evidence, you know that you can
be like this is how because she could deny it
if she's still going to keep on doing it anyway
and convince him.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
That it's not true.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
And so just be prepared that this is definitely going
to affect your friendships.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
But you have you know, you have to know that.
Speaker 10 (27:52):
Yeah, you know what, Thank you, summ of you for that,
because again, I think that's a character flaw, and I'm
prepared to leave her.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Of a friend, okay me and have to day Okay,
all right, and you have something that you could so
because what if she denies it?
Speaker 10 (28:06):
No, we talked through text she has we have text messages.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Okay, all right, Well that's all.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
I want to make sure that you're protected in the
situation because he could still say all right, and they
could go through it, and they could still end up
getting married, and then she could say I don't want
you to be friends with her either.
Speaker 10 (28:23):
Now that's true, but she can't deny these text messages,
so I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Okay, all right, Well there you have it, Tiffany.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
It sounds like you already knew what she was about
to do.
Speaker 10 (28:32):
So yeah, I did, but I wanted to advice.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Okay, that's it.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
I'm glad you got all your bases covered, you got
the messages, you know. As a rule for me, I
try not to get involved with things like that. But
marriage is a big deal and you already told her
and confronted her about it, and you're friends with both
of them, and you let her know, and she's still
being deceitful. And my whole thing is when people are
cheating and they get caught, don't be mad at the
person that's told.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Be mad at yourself.
Speaker 10 (28:57):
Be mad at yourself. And again, we are all friends.
We all with the cause together and grew up together,
hang out. So she's putting me in a really bad position.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Right, if she wanted to cheat and be low, you
shouldn't have been involved, like to know about.
Speaker 10 (29:09):
It, okay, period than all right.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
No problem, Tiffany. See, y'all better stop cheating out there.
And that is ask yee eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through. And
of course when we come back, Lala is going to
be joining us from BMP. Speaking of cheating, I mean,
on BMP, her character is cheating on her husband with
with Terry, and Terry's cheating on his children's mother with
(29:35):
Lala's character, Marquisha. So we'll talk about it. It's way
up Lala's next.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
Yeah, y'all more way up with Angelaye on Now what's.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Up his way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and Llah.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
Anthony is in the building.
Speaker 13 (29:52):
I love it in here, like it feels like an apartment,
and I'm so happy to see you.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
First of all, you know, I love watching you on TV.
Thank you, That's a given. And I'm so excited for
a BMF season three to start. I know that in
the end of the last season, because you know when
the new seasons about to start, you gotta go back
and be the right.
Speaker 13 (30:08):
And it's been a while because it was like the
strike and everything happened, so the last season, it's been
a while. Sometimes even I have to go back and yeah,
like it's just exactly on the show. So you had
ended with the shootout at the end with my character
and Davini's character and DC Young Fly and now figuring
out like what's happening.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
But clearly I'm still here.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
I'm still alive, yes, mar Keisha, And I was thinking
about this when I watched the show, right because she
is already in a relationship in that show with a
drug dealer who is very dangerous, clearly right, but running
around with Terry a little young boy, a little young
and Terry a little young boy, but in real life, right, like,
if you know that you could endanger somebody else's life
(30:53):
by being with him, because really she knows his life
is in danger because of who her man is, Right,
then don't you love some like we got to like
stay away from each other.
Speaker 13 (31:02):
I mean, you would think that, but I think females
do it all the time. We see it where it
just never happens like that. You see it where guys
fight most of the time, when it's a beef between
two guys, it's has something to do with a girl.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
You know what I mean. And it's like, damn, you
knew that was gonna be a problem. But you know
women can be when they're power, the power to pee,
the power the pee, the power of the.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
Deep that too.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
So I was trying to be saying penis for us,
Oh oh, but that's okay, You're right, d sounds way
more powerful.
Speaker 13 (31:32):
So it's just like this character Marquisha is in love,
and I think we can all relate to wanting to
like take care of a man like you see potential
and you're like, oh, I could be the one that
could bring him to his greatest potential, and you keep
trying that. But like, at what point, just as women
are we like, all right, we had enough. I always
tell like friends or just people that ask me for advice,
(31:54):
like you just can't be with somebody based on potential.
At what point does potential become like who they really are?
You just being sold a dream forever and next thing
you know, you look up it's five ten years later
and you're still like, well, he has the potential. And
I think that's what's happening here. She's infatuated because he's
a younger guy. She sees potential, but he's smooth. He's smooth,
but now like her life is in danger.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Like what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Yeah? And he made a lot of effort.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Right now, I'm talking to my girl Lilah, you know
her as Marquischa from BMF. I feel like the problem
nowadays with social media and everything the way it is,
people don't make effort like they used to back in
the day where you really have to like pop up.
Speaker 13 (32:29):
There's no effort nowadays. What time guys you talking to
because there's no effort nowadays. Let me find out there's
no effort. It's just like a DM like come through,
Like that's it, not even like I'm gonna take you
to dinner.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I'm gonna come pick you up.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
But the thing is the guy to do make the effort.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Sometimes you overlook them, like funny Marco, he made some effort. Okay,
he made some He sat down with you for a
couple of hours.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
D you left him on read?
Speaker 3 (32:57):
I did you know what? Funny Marco is so funny
everywhere I go. Now that's all you want to talk?
Speaker 13 (33:02):
Yeah, Because they're like, are you gonna give him a chance?
Are you going to go on a date with him?
But you know what, I appreciate his effort, said yeah,
I say yes, But I said, I appreciate his effort.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
And he's persistent, and he's an eight and a half.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
He's an eight and a half.
Speaker 13 (33:15):
I think he can be a little bit more confident.
But being in my DMS as much as he's been.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Lately, for really your dms, like you think he's serious.
Sometimes with comedians you can't tell him yeah.
Speaker 13 (33:29):
But I think if I was like, yeah, I'm go
on a date with you, that's great content.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
He's going on a date, that's great content.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I would love to see what his plan is, like,
where does he plan to take you?
Speaker 4 (33:41):
I think that could be good content.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
And then I never even thought of it that way.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Maybe I should just say yeah, and always the person
that you're like, oh, I don't know about this might
be the person that is.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
That is the one.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
And it felt like y'all was vibing. I'm just saying,
that's what you saw for I got some viving, you know, happening.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
So I really appreciate his effort.
Speaker 13 (34:02):
I think he's super funny. I think he's very talented,
and I had a fun time. Like you know, we
do so many of these it's just gets like we're
done it after a while. But it's nice to sit
down with somebody and just have like a fun time
and teach him like how to court a woman and
dating techniques and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
That that made it fun for me, all right, So
you just more want to train him.
Speaker 13 (34:21):
See there, I go looking at somebody's potentially just find somebody.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Who's there already.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Lila's here with me, you know.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
The new season at BMF is starting tomorrow, but she
has a lot of things going on in her personal
life and in her business life as well, so we
have more with her when we come back.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
It's way up.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
Yeah, yeah, more way up with Angela on now.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Is way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
Lila is here. It feels to me like you're the
type of person who's always trying to find like the deeper,
what's the story behind? I am why this is happening
because even with your own initiative that you have, like
we've seen you going to Wrikers Island, we see you
working with people and even like off the record, you'll
tell me about people who you want to make sure
(35:06):
you can help and assist, But it's like has nothing
to do with anybody knowing publicly what it is that
you're doing. A lot of times it's behind the scenes
work that obviously sometimes you have to like talk about
your initiatives because you want people to support that, you know,
but it's something that's from the heart.
Speaker 13 (35:21):
Yes, from the heart, and you know I created three
sixty out of Wrikers, you know, from the heart.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
It kind of was an accident. I was just going
there with.
Speaker 13 (35:29):
My assistant and just really connecting and vibing with the kids,
and I was like, you know, I want to do
something more here, and you know, there was a pastor
Pastor Tim who was there doing incredible work, and I
was like, you know, I want to piggyback off of
that and do some great things.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
And that's how three sixty you know, was born.
Speaker 13 (35:44):
It gives me the greatest passion when you see people
the underdog succeed or people that we counted out, you know,
succeed and sometimes all people need is love and the right.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Opportunity and amazing things happen. So for me, like, there's
just no other feeling like.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
That, and you put your own money behind it because
it's not like somebody's funding this.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
But I was like, Lila, you gotta like make sure
I know I do need it.
Speaker 13 (36:06):
I mean yeah, I mean I'm doing good, but his
kids cost money. And so definitely, you know, always opening
people who want to come on board and help, and definitely,
you know, just so grateful because so many people.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
Do reach out, Like fab Centers closed not too.
Speaker 13 (36:19):
Long ago, Jermaine said he's sending clothes, like it's just
really cool to have the support of the community that
just want to help in any way.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Right now, I'm talking to my girl li Lah, you
know her as my key chef from BMF and Kayane.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
How about is yes son?
Speaker 13 (36:33):
Know Kyane is sixteen? Who I know he's about to
be seventeen. Actually he's turning seventeen on March seventh. It's
that age and there's a lot of things happening, but
I'm on top of it.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
I'm paying attention. He know he can't get anything over
on me, so it's like I'm on it.
Speaker 13 (36:48):
But he's a great kid, an incredible student and athlete
and just really focused on Like to see him be
so focused at such a young age as inspiring to me.
He wakes up, gets to school on time, works out
every day, get to the games on time, like I
don't have to remind him, like set your alarm, and
he's just so disciplined and focused. And he's been like
that for a long time. So I'm proud to see
(37:08):
like his journey and his growth as well.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Isn't it weird that he'll be going to college.
Speaker 13 (37:13):
It's something that I try not to think too much about.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Because I feel like success to you, like for your
skills as a parent, to see how you've raised your
son and.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Does feel like success.
Speaker 13 (37:24):
But it's my only child, so it's like me adjusting
to not having him in the house.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
I do have a tough time with that.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Oh I'm sure for him, you're like the coolest mom
a person can.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Still he still loves to hang out with me.
Speaker 13 (37:36):
I'm amazed that my kids still loves being around me,
because I hear other parents like my kid doesn't even
talk to me, won't even answer the phone, And I'm like,
oh no, that's not happening over Like, we enjoy being
around each other.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
We have a good time, all right. So the new
season a BMF is March first.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
March first.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
They gave me the first episode because you know, I
was like, like, Lyla's coming up here. I need to
see you know what that's like. So I had to
get a little okay, so.
Speaker 13 (37:57):
You gotta peek in the funny thing because I haven't
even seen the episode.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Well, let me tell you something. It's all about you
in the beginning. You know what to be clear on there?
You are side piece on there too. Let's not forget that,
and we'll see that play out and that I know.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
That, I know that I know my place. I know
my place on this show. I know my place. God,
it's so funny.
Speaker 13 (38:14):
That you say that because in the character, I take
on that kind of role and my assistant is always
on me cause she's like, you really carry that energy
with you even afterwards, like when they say cut because
I'm like on edge, Like even with the girl who
plays Luanda. It's not I don't mean it, but it's
like I'm still in that mole, like, oh you got them,
I don't like you know, And I'm like and she.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
Like, lah, I say cut like it's over.
Speaker 13 (38:39):
