Speaker 6 (18:53):
Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Oh no, that's it, okay, And she told TMZ, thank
you for all your prayers and well wishes during this
very frightening experience. I'm still in shock, but she said,
but the passing of my beloved mother, grief comes and
goes in waves, and but Mother's Day approaching it has
felt more like a tsunami.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
She met a girlfriend for dinner.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
They talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
She was crying on her way home. Yes, I hate this.
I hate that we have to talk about this, Karen.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
We love you.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
I've reached out to her, but she's clearly you know,
with family, I'm sure, and trying to figure it out.
Her mom was her light, that was like her her
guiding light, and I know how important her mother was
to her. And her mom passing, she goes through waves
where she has too much emotion that she really can't handle,
(19:43):
can't manage. So I can understand how she could maybe
have been driving and I've been emotional and crying in
the car and had to pull over. So I say,
I blame you for that.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
Okay, Well, as a friend, that was my fault.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yes, well, according to influence. According to online court record, and.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
She's also facing one kind of d u I over
wreck and she has to make a mandatory court appearance
to answer for it, where she's facing an additional d
w I charge as well.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Everybody gets bad around me, No, but Karen.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
We love you and I'm gonna check out.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
And thankfully nobody was hurt.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, that's always the main thing.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
You and Raje. You're on the cover of Media Takeout.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
You know, I still look at Media Takeout.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Wait, Fred is still doing me take Out one of
my favorites. But I tookout, went and and was in
the bathroom for a while Media Takeout.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
He's all right because.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
You don't you don't want, you don't want. You don't
want to be with that dude. You know what I'm saying.
That's it's like, okay, he needs.
Speaker 7 (21:40):
To be good, solid if you're gonna be around your
kids potentially okay say that he doesn't hear that part yet,
not around the kids.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Okay, but you know what happened.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
Like I got my kids with me, so my son
with me okay, okay, and my.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
Daughter with her because my daughter doing school. She loves school.
She don't never want to miss school. I love that.
I love that, which is like daycare. Why go to preschool?
And you can go to Raycarecare Ray Hare.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
Now there's another.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Show, rape Care be having you dropping F bombs on
the air.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
You Worri ray Care right now and you.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And when you said that, when you said the F
word on.
Speaker 5 (22:18):

Speaker 2 (22:21):
All right. Anyway, when.
Speaker 6 (22:23):
The ray Dar okay, yes, and ray Care and.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Weirdly he did that, I liked.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
All right, it's way like news.
Speaker 8 (22:33):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
Right, it's way up, Aman, ray j is here.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Ye can't tell em.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Bascett is here, ay ay, And let's get into these
under the radar stories now. I would I have posted
this on my stories and everybody was hitting me up
about it. Baltimore City is moving forward with the program.
They're going to sell some bacon homes for just a dollar.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
I saw it, y'a. I do want to get in
on this.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Lit'sten and so this is what is happening right. More
than thirteen thousand homes in Baltimore are vacant. The city
owns close to a thousand of them. Individual buyers and
community land trusts are now eligible to buy the city
owned vacant homes for a dollar. Small nonprofits can purchase
the homes for a thousand, and developers in larger nonprofits
we need to pay three thousand dollars. What they want
(23:21):
is for area residents to buy these homes or lots,
fix them up and live in them, and city residents
won't be given priority in buying the properties and they
will be pushed out when the neighborhoods improved. That's the problem, yeah,
that some people are having. So that's some concerns that
they do need to address a lot of those concerns.
And this pricing structure only applies to city owned homes
(23:43):
that appair on the buy and to be more website,
So just putting it at that, because y'all know I
love to talk about any type of opportunities when it
comes to that, all right, and I think this makes sense.
Athletes will be provided with three hundred thousand condoms at
the twenty twenty four Paris Olympics as the intimacy band
is lifted. This band was putting in place for the
(24:03):
Tokyo Games because of the COVID pandemic, but now that
intimacy band is being lifted in the giving out condom.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
What is it called because I have a new kind
of line coming out. You do what's called it's called
the Mustang.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
The Mustang because you know you.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Got the trojan, right, The trojan is artificial, that's a
that's a story. That horse is an imaginary My horse,
the mustang is a wild horse.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
Is that really?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Are you really coming out with Mustang?
Speaker 5 (24:29):
Yeah? I got boxes. The boxes I have now are expired,
so I won't want you to use them with the samples,
but I'll get the horse.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
Why do you have expired boxes?
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Well, because I've been building it for like a year,
so they're twenty twenty three and twenty twenty two rubber lately.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
So what happens is like really dry when.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
I don't know, I just I'm not going to ever
give off. I love twenty twenty three expired contras because
I love y'all. Don't set them up because it only
takes you like one second to get the STD.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Okay, you're right, or they're like pregnant or to.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
Get pregnant, like and then you know, like maybe like
an hour later, you're like, wait a minute, what's going on?
And then you're like I know who it was? I
mean no, no, no, So I heard.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
All right, well stay tuned for these mustangs, and that
is your.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
Condoms, and it's all promoted on the Tronics network. So
safe sex is a must.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Go the condoms, Tronics condoms.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
That's what we're gonna say.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
Because Tronics is a global brand, so the condom brand
is its own thing.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Okayiary there.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Now we do have the way up mixing the top
of the hour. Plus Clay from Love Is Blind is
going to be joining us today. Some people were very
angry at him for saying no at the altar, and
we shall discuss its way up.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
She's like the talk like the Angela like they angela man.
Speaker 8 (25:42):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
This is yet way up.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
What's up? Its way up?
Speaker 4 (25:48):
But angela yea, I'm angela ye. Ray Je is here,

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Because I'm because strategy marketing is are.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Your strategy, it's your strategy.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
Well, it's our skill, that's what we do.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
That's your skill.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
Well, Monica was on live and she was raised that
you were in the comments Brandy Monica tour. Please let's
make history run, run for the fans. One hundred million
plus for both of you.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
And that's like, that's that I'm scratching the surface with.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
That the opportunity.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
Well, Monica responded, and she said, I've been repeatedly contacted
about interviews where my name and tour possibilities are being discussed.
I've not received any contracts or calls about said tour.
Ray Jing, I'm kindly asking you to stop speaking on
me in public of private conversation would be both necessary
and respectful.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
Brandy is a legend. She's one of one with an.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Extensive catalog that I deeply respect, and a voice sent
from heaven. And so let's not muddy the waters and
let's let this remain positive. Are you guys going to
have this conversation because it feels like she knows nothing.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
I'm gonna call Monica soon as we leave here, and listen, Monica,
if I said anything wrong, I apologize. You are a
great artist. You and Brandy have made history together and
all I want to do is just shake it up
a little bit to get y'all to see that that
that is that should be like one of those like
last you know, the last wave towards like let's do
this for like the next three years. Let's let's hear
every every globe outside of the planet into like Mars
(27:17):
and and that that takes imagination, but let's keep it
real and give the world what they want.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
A brand that had because it was basically putting it
there and seeing people's excitement and response.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
That's part of your marketing exactly.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
And I think I think if Tronis was able to
be a sponsor along with you know a few other
of my bests. And I'm not playing because I'm gonna
really call Monica, but I respect her, and if I
did or say anything, I'm sorry. It was just all
trying to get your attention.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
What brand saying about this?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Is she down?
Speaker 7 (27:50):
You ain't talking to nobody, You ain't talk to your sister.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
But well we did the verses, and after the verses,
I'm like, Monica, Brandy, this is it. You see me?
I said, y'all want this? Were comment ten thousand comments.
That's the first time I ever got ten thousand comments
in my life. It was like twenty thousand. So I said,
let's do it. And then Monica was supposed to meet
us later to me and she she foss us and
went to the strip club.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
Okay, well, fortunately you'll be in every strip club coming up.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
So oh no this new listen time new. I love Monica.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
I love Monica too well, already.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
Doing if I was im that's my sister Monica.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
You know you saw, y'all. Your brother was on the
other side doing the versus. He was dancing, just wasn't
as lid as us, Brandy, and you could tell you
would think Brandy was a rock and roll We had
the mosh pit in the ballot.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Imagine having raised it as your brother. You can't wash
really can't a song on a slow on a ballot.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
All right, well, okay, we'll make that call today after
the show and we'll care with you about it tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (28:44):
Okay, okay, so Monica, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
All right, Well, that is your yea tea and can
you call it Brandy too?
Speaker 2 (28:50):
You need to clear that up. Yeah, yeah, all right, well,
thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
That is your yet And when we come back, we
have ask ye eight hundred and two ninet two fifty
one fifty if feels like there'll be some great advice today,
ray j Live.
Speaker 8 (29:03):
Tonight, this relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
This is aske what's up? Its way up? But Angela, yea,
yeah up. Ray Ja is here and this is here,
and I'm ready to give some advice. And I know
we're all coming from different spaces when it comes to it.
So we have vauants on the line. What's that vant?
Speaker 10 (29:26):
So I got a question? Right? My girlfriend and I
we do long there. We've been together a little over
two years, and I'm trying to get her to move
up here with me, but he's just not feeling all.
My friends keep saying, don't give her an ultimatum, and
I just don't know what I should do.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
You well, what's what is her reasoning for not wanting
to move because I.
Speaker 10 (29:44):
Live in Minnesota? Or what the hell is the Minnesota?
Speaker 6 (29:46):
Okay, she don't want to move to Minnesota?
Speaker 2 (29:48):
And then where does she live?
Speaker 10 (29:49):
Jersey?
Speaker 2 (29:50):
You need to move to Jersey. Why are you trying
to get her to move to Minnesota?
Speaker 10 (29:53):
I lived in Jersey, but I moved here for work.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
Okay, Okay? Does she wor a good job?
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (29:58):
I got a good job.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, Okay, does she have a good job.
Speaker 10 (30:01):
It could be better.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Oh well, sometimes people don't like also you feeling like
you're minimizing what they do for a living, like my job,
because that's also a power struggle to you, like it's
your job more important than mine. Why should I have
to move? Are you gonna get married? Because sometimes that's
also a thing. Right, Am I gonna move there just
to date you?
Speaker 5 (30:18):
Right?
Speaker 10 (30:19):
No? I want to have in pensout getting married, But
I can't marry somebody I haven't lived with you, you know.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Ray J says a long distance relationship is.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
Because I mean you still you still are making sure
you're okay first, So you're loving yourself first, and then
you're loving everybody else. Because if it's a long distant relationship,
you gotta love yourself okay, and you got to have
a visual of the person you love on the other side.
But in reality, you're still just loving yourself.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
You know.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
They they do say relationships end up lasting longer marriages
when you don't live together first. Statistically, I wouldn't I
want to be with her. I wouldn't do an ultimatum.
I would say, see how long you got guys can
sustain and then she might feel like, is she saying, well,
(31:05):
we got to get married in order for me to
move or what is or is she just not want
to move there?
Speaker 10 (31:09):
She just doesn't want to move reticularly.
Speaker 6 (31:11):
Okay, but you guys see each other a lot, not.
Speaker 10 (31:15):
As often as I would like, but yeah, every couple
of months with.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
Business, a couple of months.
Speaker 10 (31:20):
Yeah, yes, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
If you have a side piece.
Speaker 10 (31:26):
I cannot confirm.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Oh, you play, you.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
Playing, You're not ready, right, you're you're not make that
woman move and yeah, you don't even know.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
You just need to stay where you are.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
You don't know what you want for real, don't make
her move.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
You got a side piece until you're in a monogamous relationship,
don't make that one.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
Yes, let her stay where she is, and you guys
figure you guys are just dating.
Speaker 9 (31:50):
Man.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
You don't move in to find out if you can
get married.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
You move in when you will.
Speaker 7 (31:55):
You want to get because if you want to make
it work, you will make it work.
Speaker 10 (32:00):
Well, camp, I fit the same thing to hurt one.
Wanted to make it work, you were moving.
Speaker 7 (32:03):
No, because that's your idea, what would make it work?
That's not necessarily her right.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
She it seems like she's okay with you guys dating
in this manner and you're with the ultimatum, right.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
And I got that advice for you. Okay, just live
and do you dog, stop worrying about it, do whatever
you feel aside, dig deep within yourself, pray, manifest and
get it done.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Period over advising. But yes, Vante, don't give an ultimatum.
It doesn't feel you don't know what you really want,
so I don't think you should be giving ultimatum.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Correct.
Speaker 10 (32:34):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
All right, thank you, Julah. All right, Well that was
ask you.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
And when we come back, Clay from Love is Blind
is going to be joining us, and that's complicated, you
know what we have to talk to him about.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
But I hope you guys keep an open mind.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
It's way up this yeah, yea more way up with
Angela on now what's up?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
It's way up at Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
I'm Angela Yee and my guest house Candide Diyler Bassett
real high spots of Potomac.
Speaker 6 (33:02):
She's here all week and you came on a good time.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Yeah, all right, because we have Clay here from Love
is Blind Season six. You and Ad and I had
said this on the air was my favorite couple for
a period of time until you guys uncoupled at the
end unexpectedly because I think watching that scene, a lot
of people were like jaw on the floor.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
I was watching it too. I thought I was going
to say yes watching that back, so.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
You did, Yeah, I was like watching it back, I'm like, dang,
I was given like a lot of indication I was
going to say yes. My mindset on marriage probably wasn't
the healthiest going into the show. You know, it was
something that like I wanted, but like I didn't really
know how to achieve it.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Clay, looks are important to you, and you talk about
that in the Pods. Yeah, and attraction is important to
you as well. But the whole idea of this show
is that you don't know what the other person looks like.
How has that changed for you during this experiment or
has it?
Speaker 1 (33:51):
No?
Speaker 3 (33:51):
I definitely changed.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I think I'm definitely able to lean more with the
emotional side, and I think I'm definitely more emotionally intelligent
than I was when I.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
First did the show.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
But I will say that what you guys saw was
day two of the pods, Like, we had ten days
in the pods, So a lot of the stuff that
you guys saw was the first four days. Me and
AD were good. The last six days, like, we had
a lot of powerful conversation. I think that the black
community would have loved to hear it. But in terms
of that, I'm big on physical I am, but like
I could say that, I'm not so much leading with that.
(34:20):
I think that's what the show kind of showed me
and taught me as well.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
So let's talk about you Nad now, because she's still
on your page. You guys are still friends. But at
the reunion, you were saying that you feel like you
made a mistake.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
Is that something you still are pursuing.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
I'm not pursuing Ad anymore. You know.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
She said it on multiple podcasts this week. She's super single,
and I support her on that. At the end of
the day, me, I'm personally going through therapy, I'm healing,
I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
I'm not available right now.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
I'm just kind of just working on myself, working on
my business and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
So at the end of the day, all I could
do was support Ad.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
And you know, at the day she wants to be
a wife right now, and I wasn't able.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
To provide that.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
All I'm doing is to support her, and I think,
you know, we have an amazing friendship, and it's amazing
that we could kind of go from that and still
be friends.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
So all right, Clay is here with me and kid
this and we're talking about love is blind.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
You know.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
I noticed that one of the things that people talked
about was also when you were talking about AD's finances,
and that conversation was important for you, and you didn't
seem too certain about that. So what was it that
kind of signaled a red flag for you when it
came to her finances.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Yeah, that's a good question.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
I mean, for me, I wasn't never saying that AD's
finances was a reason why we wouldn't be together. I
was saying that I didn't understand it enough for us
to get married at this time period. Like, I just
want to mind everybody, this is six weeks and I'm
gonna take ownership that I probably should have a little
bit more conversations about the finances, but I just want
to remind everyone that there's so much going on at
(35:46):
that time. Every day is a different theme. So we
talked about the finances and the pods. What I saw
from Ad and the Pods was a little bit different
than what I saw when we were together. We viobbed
off of entrepreneur spirit, we vibbed off of working hard,
and when I felt like when we came back to
the house, she dedicated all her time to be a wife.
And that's cool and everything, but that's not really what
(36:09):
I fell in love with her about. You know, like
I want to be motivated by my partner as well.
I think it's a partnership and I'm big on marriage.
I don't want to get a divorce and one of
the things I know that people get divorces over is financice.
You know, Ad had an ex boyfriend before she did
the experiment. I think she kind of talked about it
on the podcast, and.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
For me, I thought that she said she was a
real estate agent.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
I didn't really see her in that field because she was,
you know, dedicated to the process, and that's good for her.
I felt as though for me to say I do,
I needed to see, you know, what was going on,
like how are you making your money? Because it seemed
to me the ex boyfriend this is just to me.
This may not be true, but to me, it seemed
like all the finances came from that ex boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
So he had a club, she worked at his club.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
She worked also in.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
Addition to real estate that she's in addition to being
a raiser. I was like, you're saying, like maybe she
wanted to be a stay at home wife.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Is that what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
I'm not saying that.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
I don't think because ad definitely got into her real
estate after we finished filming, and she was very transparent
me about this expot first. So I don't want to
make seem like, you know, she wasn't doing anything, but
she just really dedicated this time to be a wife.
Me personally, I didn't understand that because they paid us
whatever they paid us, and to me, that wasn't enough
to just pause my life for six weeks.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
Clay from Love is Blind is here and he is
clearing up a lot of things because guess what, stuff
does get edited on television.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
So listen to what he has to say.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
See if your opinion changes, and even if it doesn't,
you know, it's interesting.
Speaker 6 (37:34):
It's way up to do this.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
Yeah, yeah, I'm more way up with Angelay.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
On now you know who it is.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
What's up his way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee And Candace did it best. It is guest hosting
all week. And guess who's in the building right now.
Clay from Love is Blind. Now, Candas, you got a
question right.
Speaker 7 (37:53):
So I saw somewhere that in your Love is Blind
contract that if you don't show up to the alter
you can be fined like fifty thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
No, the girl showed like the line.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
You know, I didn't really look into that because I
was taking in my head like how did that even leak?
Like I just be feeling like I've seen so much
cap on the internet from this stuff, so that's not true.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
It's not true.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Now they're not saying it, but you kind of feel
like a little pressure to go to the altar and
stuff like that, but like they're not articulating that.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
And the staff was amazing.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
They didn't push me to do anything that I didn't
want to do, Like, you know, it was me and
ad decision to go to the altar. We actually got
addressed because you know, as you know, guys know I
was saying, you know that I'm struggling with you know
the concept of like, hey, on May twelfth, this is
six weeks saying we got to get married. I don't
think we build enough of a foundation yet to get married.
And that's what I was articulating. And they kept on
(38:47):
having me saying like I'm afraid to cheat on you.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
That was an edit.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
I was saying that have we built the foundation enough,
We're We're going to be faithful with each other forever.
I don't want to cheat on you, and they cut
that whole part out and say, I don't want to
cheat on you.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
It is crazy.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
It is crazy, and it was spicy, and I said,
I receive it all, you know, if people want to
kill me for it, like at the end of the day,
like I do think that we was able to impact
a lot of things that I struggle with, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
So you know, they focused a lot on your parents too,
and that conversation really did become a bad job for
This is why Clay perhaps feels the way that he does.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
I saw a therapist breaking it down my parents.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
Yeah, like your parents' conversation, your parents and your dad
like things that you know your mom did not know,
and that main thing was that your dad, when he
was cheating on your mom, would bring you, you know,
on some of those days, and your mom wasn't even
aware of that.
Speaker 6 (39:40):
That's a wild you know.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
Yeah, how come you've never had that conversation with her before?
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Man.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
It's like kind of like even though I disrespect it,
but it's like, broko, like my dad is my hero,
and like I didn't really process those things when I
was a kid when it was happening, Like it really
wasn't me even trying to like snitch on my dad
or anything like that. It was just like I'll just
start taking delating some of the blockage that I had
in terms of like moving forward in our relationships.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
So I know that had to make your mind furious.
Like she found out my child.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
That was the first time hearing it, and I thought
I told her, but I you.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Know, you didn't tell you. I thought cheating.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
I didn't tell her like that, But I definitely talked
to my little brother, So I thought, Nate, you.
Speaker 7 (40:22):
Thought she was gonna put it on your brother and
make your brother tell your mama.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
I was you're supposed to leave.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
You're right, You're right now hey mistakes.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
All right, Clay is here with me and Ken this
and we're talking about love is blind. Did you anticipate
all of this backlash?
Speaker 10 (40:37):
Well?
Speaker 3 (40:38):
I didn't. Yeah, I did it at all.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Like I was getting like that threats, my number got leaked,
it was giving my business reviews. It's like, y'all, I'm
a black owned business, Like why a y'all trying to
tear me down off of something y'all don't even know,
Like they didn't even to me personally. I didn't even
think I got a favorable edit. Like I felt like
they cut me up so crazy where people don't even
didn't even really get to know who I really was.
I thought that, like, you know, me opening up and
(41:00):
being vulnerable was like a safe space. And I thought
that for the black community something that y'all needed to hear,
like a black man being.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
You know, transparent about like some of the things we
struggled with.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
I didn't know that me being transparent about my stuff
was going to give me such a target where people like.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
You know you, you know, so, what are some things
in therapy that you've learned about yourself?
Speaker 1 (41:19):
So giving myself grace also to my therapist has been
telling me that liberation isn't easy. I think that for
black men, we do need to have that safe space.
And I want to advocate for a mental health advocacy
and honestly just push the narrative that you know, we
do as men need to have conversations. We do need
to talk about marriage and you know, just have a
good understanding of it, because you know, I said that
at the reunion, like for guys, whenever we get married,
(41:40):
you know, you really only hear like happy wife, happy life.
You don't really hear about what makes a guy happy
in relationships or what men can do to be happy relationships.
So we could know, just expressing that having a safe space,
and you know, I just want to push that for
men because we're always told to be tough and have
a tough interior, and you know, sometimes we do need
to be vulnerable and let that stuff Outso.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
What is your dad doing any therapy or anything like
that or just you no.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
No, my dad's working on as well. It's actually really good.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
My dad actually had a meeting with the family and
apologized to his mom. He apologized to the kids, and
so I just feel like the world needs to just
back off off my dad a little bit because like
he had the healing, he apologized and he's put it
in the work. He wants to understand he could be
a better father. And I mean that's accountability right there.
Like yeah, you take, you make, you tell you have
an l but like it's how you respond, and my
(42:29):
dad has responded tremendously, so you know, shout out to him.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
