She magazine Trina. She has Barnes Media Group, but she
(02:19):
also does a lot when it comes to giving back.
Now she's moved into the venture capital space. She has
Evil's Equity. It's a venture capital firm dedicated to providing
black women business owners with the tools and funding necessary
to initiate their entrepreneurial endeavors. You know, I love that.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
No, Honestly, it was such an honor to be included
on this list of thirty women of excellence. The main
thing that she did when she started having the Lady
to do so was honor other women. And I think
that's so important to pay it forward and help financially
because that's important. Can you talking to the Mike gotfree?

All right, Well that was my shining light. Who do
you want to shine a light on eight hundred two,
nineteen fifty to fifty Stalin, who you want to shine
a light on?
Speaker 7 (03:21):
I would like to shine a light on a couple
of people, starting with myself. I don't come from the
best upbringing, and you know, I feel like I've overcome
a lot.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Okay, all right, well, I'm not mad at that shining light.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
I use Stalin my next shining light. I'm going to
do my wife. We're not on the best terms or whatever,
but we take care of our children very well. She
takes care of my children very well. You know, I
appreciate her.

parents and that you can appreciate and acknowledge the great
job that she does.

you grounded right now.

and I'd be like, man, that's that big stuff, that's
that radio stuff.
Speaker 9 (05:14):
That's it.
Speaker 10 (05:14):
And I never had a radio record and I wasn't
a radio artist, quote unquote, but I'm grateful that we
didn't succumb to the pressure of needing to have the
perfect writers, the perfect producers. We just did us and
that's a blessing.
Speaker 2 (05:28):

to iHeartRadio tonight. You call me an innovator, and for
that I'm very grateful. Innovation starts with a dream, but
then you have to execute that dream, and that role
(06:31):
can be very bumpy, which often will test your mental strength.
I want to dedicate this award to all the innovators
who have dedicated their lives and their art to creating shifts.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
All right, gotta love it very innovative for Beyonce and
the fact that she was there at such a monumental
time as she's breaking all these records in her career

you had to okay to play video games because it's
just bark because it's a bar.
Speaker 1 (09:19):

You didn't show them, like I'm godfree, google yourself and
like show you know.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Rihann No. I had to get it out Rihanna and
Asap Rocky. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:49):

same place.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yeah, they didn't let me in.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
That's that's out of control and it was empty. You
didn't have your ID.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
I wanted to play pac Man. I need an ID.
I'm a pac Man. But you can go into cannabis
and go ground.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
You don't even really drink.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I don't know at all. And yeah, yeah, but you
can go get cannabis. You can go get get a
shot gun.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Not trying to be offensive, but you're clearly over twenty one.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
You don't no, no, yeah, I'm big.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
I'm like, let me in.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I'm fake.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I'm gonna tell you shave. Yes, Okay, that's wild when
people do that. By the way, you know, when you're
when you finally turn twenty one, you're excited to get ID, right,
you're like, yeah, I got it.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
But then when you're like get a certain agent, like

like offensive sometimes and you're like you can look at me.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
He's like, I can't I have I can't. I was like,
but I have the picture in this Yeah, you can't
have pictures on your picture idea on your fast.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
So you didn't try to say but I'm godfree.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
No, I didn't want to do that. I think the
guy knew I was. He's like, I know, man, I
can't you know it must be hardcore.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
If TMZ was around, they would have ran up and
I was like, I can't.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
I'm trying to play pac Man and then you don't
even want me to play pack Man.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
I should come in here and break all your shoes. Dad,
it was messed up.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Does that make you never want to go there again?
Speaker 9 (11:01):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:01):
I want to go because they got dope games there
and I will have my idea such a nerd about
the video game.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
I've never been there, but that sounds great. Well, I'm
glad you said I was there last week.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, I was in there.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
It's amazing. No, that place is fired, like so listen,
they have these products House of Grow, and it's like
right at the register, but I actually use their products,
so I want to go there and have a spy
experience at But I was there for an event that
Peloton sponsored, Okay for Mashanda, and so I was there
for that, but I was also meeting with the owners
of House of Grow.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
I was with this real estate girl who's like a
real estate agent in New York and she's really connected.
She goes, you gotta do this show because it's like
it's it'll it will do give you good.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
And you're not allowed to take pictures in there either.
They say, you know it's that place is I heard
Taylor Swift was in there and somebody took a picture
of her and they lost their membership.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
What Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
So but anyway, all right, well that was about lesson.
I'm glad you talked about this whole. Yes, here's this
place I go to the I d me all the time,
and I'm like, come on, guys, like every single time
I come here, you're gonna check my eyes. I do
not look up anyway when we want to. When we
come back, I want to talk about this because another
thing that is one of my guilty Pleasures is the
show ninety Day Fiance And I've been following this journey
(12:19):
of Angela.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
I hate.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Her name is angel Michael And a lot of people
at first felt like he was using her. He's in Nigeria,
she's older.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Well, he's a Nigerian.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, he's a Nitarian. She's an older white lady who
does she does not need to be ided anywhere. And
she's definitely over twenty one. And a lot of people
felt like he was using her to get to the
United States. And that's on ninety Day Fiance. I could
never tell. And I want to ask you, guys, have
you ever felt like you were used in a relationship?
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Let us know,
(12:50):
do you ever feel like you've been used in a relationship?
Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty is way up?
Speaker 9 (12:57):
This? Yep?
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Y'all way up with Angeliae on them?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
All right, it's way up. I'm here, God for you
is here?
Speaker 12 (13:06):
Yo?
Speaker 1 (13:06):
What up?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
And we're talking about have you ever been using a relationship?
And I thought about this because you know I watched
ninety Day Fiance. I know you don't watch it, but
you would love it. You would love it. But one
of the couples, Michael and Angela, they've had this ongoing
thing where you know, he's Nigerian, she's from She's an
older white.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Lady, white woman, and a lot of people At first.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
When they first started dating, we're like, there's no way,
like he's got to be using her to try to
get to the United States. But then she's been very
controlling over him and abusive. Some would say I would say,
but here's what she had to say about the fact
that she'll be laying next to him in the bed
but texting other women.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I've pretended you for four years, and I know you're disturbed.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
So when you do that right there, there's no way
you could love me when you're on another you love
them when I'm in the.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
Bed with you.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
I'm sorry that it sounds ugly. Dog can't believe that
you get there teting other women.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
But now he's gone missing. She went online and said
that he's missing. So you know, he came here to
the United States and she can't find him.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Did he get what he needed? Yeah, tell them he
was paring for his life.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
God for you. Have you ever felt like you were
used in a relationship.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
I had some situation where the girl was like taking
stuff from me, money here and there, but it was
like patty stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
But yeah, a little bit, not really.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
I think everybody at some point feels like is this
person using me? And because I'm a very generous person
in relationships, and sometimes you got to scale it back
and be like, you know what, Even in.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Social media, you always know when someone's uses, especially when
hot chicks are like DM and you first you're like, oh,
what does she want?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Yeah, I don't have it.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
I don't have it.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Have you guys ever felt used in a relationship? Nay, nay,
what's good? Hey Angela, it's me and Goudfe and we're
talking about being used. You ever felt like you were
used in a relationship?
Speaker 8 (15:11):
I really did.
Speaker 13 (15:12):
Me and my child's father lose together for about eight years.
I was used because while I was making him better,
he was making me worse. And everything I was asking
him to do he was with me, but he started
to do.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
Once he got with somebody else.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Oh wow, So you think for eight years he was
using you?
Speaker 13 (15:31):
Yes, he didn't move out of his mom's place until
we got together. If I want to never took the
initiative to leave the city that we were staying in.
He wouldn't have left that city.
Speaker 14 (15:40):
It was just like stuff that I was motivating him
to do, but.
Speaker 13 (15:43):
At the same time he was tearing me down in
the process.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Well, I'm glad you got out.
Speaker 13 (15:48):
Yes, I'm glad too, because now I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Okay, good, Well, I'm glad, Nay because sometimes when it's happening,
you don't realize it. I mean, eight years is a
long because when.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
You're insider, you can't see it. Sometimes someone say you need.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
To Yeah, you know what, You're doing everything for him?
Speaker 9 (16:02):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Yeah, yeah, all right, Well thank you, Nay, right, thank you? Here,
great day you too. We call that charity. Yes, hey, Melanie,
how are you.
Speaker 8 (16:14):
I'm doing well.
Speaker 14 (16:14):
How about yourself?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
I'm good? Thank you me and godfy want to know
have you ever been used?
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (16:20):
I have.
Speaker 12 (16:21):
I was with a guy for four years.
Speaker 15 (16:23):
He moved in with me so that he wouldn't have
to pay.
Speaker 12 (16:25):
Rent, and he took ten thousand dollars for me to
my car.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Oh man, how did he take it from you?
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Okay?
Speaker 12 (16:35):
I actually had a check on my kitchen counter and
he took it while I was at work and went
to the dealership and bought himself a car.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Oh my yo, that is crackhead, move right there?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah, did you report him? I'm sorry, he's going to jail.
Speaker 9 (16:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, I'm going to get a car real too.
Speaker 15 (16:51):
Honestly, I tried to come out to him for it.
He promised he'd pay it back, and it's been almost
two years and I haven't seen a penny.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Why didn't you go to the car? I would have
death really filed the report. Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not.
Speaker 15 (17:02):
Playing give me a sob story, and I fell for it.
You promised he'd pay it back, and you know, I
took him at his word.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
But he brought a car and sew your check.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
He bought a car and drove off crying in that car.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Did you ever tell any of your friends, because it's
the kind of thing that's I kind of you know,
sometimes we're embarrassed to be like, he's my money.
Speaker 14 (17:22):
I told everybody.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Was he still living with you after that?
Speaker 9 (17:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (17:27):
Shortly thereafter to move in with another girl.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Oh, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Gave her a ride and everything.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Let me tell you something then, please would have been right, sir.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Gave her ride and everything off.
Speaker 15 (17:40):
Okay, well I have some friends and family said I
should have done I'm not playing no game.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
You should have slashed his tires.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Those are her tires.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Those are her tires. Yeah, you paid for him.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Well I hope you learned a valuable lesson from this.
Speaker 15 (17:56):
Definitely did never again.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Here's sweetheart. We gotta go hang out because I know
you'll pay for the meal. Now, thank you, Okay, thank
you for calling. See she's too nice.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah, she's so nice.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
No, she definitely got used. I feel so bad. If
I was her friend. Let me tell you something, I
would have called the cops for her. I'm not playing
do that to one of my homegirls.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
That's that's just really really rough. Right, that's wild wrong.
Speaker 9 (18:25):
All right?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Well, God for when we come back, we have yet.
I know you want to do this. Let's talk about Diddy.
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
She's about off this pot. Let's get it angelus building that.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Ye, come and get your tea.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Who it is piping hot today?
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Boy?
Speaker 2 (18:41):
God for you here, and we're talking about Diddy, So.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Take that take that now.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
New reports alleged that the federal probe into Diddy could
expand to include reinvestigating that shooting outside the New York
City nightclub. The woman, Natania Rubin, said that she would
let investigators take bullet fragments from her face because she
still has those fragments in her face if it could
prove Colmbs was the man who shot her twenty five
(19:07):
years ago. Yeah, so that's something that could end up
being reopened.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Seine went to jail for that, went for ten years,
didn't he.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Yep. Now, according to reports, federal officers are also going
to be investigating Ashton Kutcher, right. They said Cuba Gooding
Junior is also a person who has been named in
the lawsuits, so they'll be talking to him as well.
But Ashton Kutcher had a very public friendship with Diddy
that goes back decades, and he is expecting to be
subpoena as part of this sex trafficking investigation. According to
(19:37):
the Daily Mail. He has not yet commented on these allegations,
but they were so tight that he and alongside Jamie
Fox and Diddy were calling themselves the new rat Pack.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
What No, I just oh like?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Kat Williams said, the truth is coming twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Now, Chris Hansen was on Fox News. We all know
Chris hands Chris, Yes, catch a predator, to catch a predator,
and he had some things to say about inside information
upon Homeland Security actually raiding Diddy's homes.
Speaker 16 (20:10):
It don't get away with human trafficking unless you give
up John Gotti or something like that.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
And that's not what happened here.
Speaker 16 (20:17):
I can tell you Jesse this that this investigation has
been going on for a long time, very closely held
by HSI, so much so that even some of the
agents on the raid didn't know whose house they were
raiding until they got there.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
That's how closely held. Wow, Because there could have been
a tip.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Absolutely Okay, so they didn't even know whose house it
was because they did not want Diddy to find out
that his house was about to get raided. So who
knows what they discovered, but clearly Homeland Security doesn't to
show up on a whim like this is something that
is years in the mazing. Like Diddy's radio airplay has
also plummeted after these sexual abuse allegations and these home raids,
(20:59):
So his music catalog has been consistently dropping on radio
since Cassie came forward. But now they said it's even lower,
and you know, the love album Off the Grid came
out on September fifteenth. It was a great album, and
unfortunately for people who were involved in that project, that project,
that doesn't help, you know, then they had nothing to
do with anything. Shout out to Jazzi. She was actually
(21:19):
signed there, and I know that has to be difficult
for Jazzie, who's a great newer artist. He also allegedly
owes nearly one hundred million dollars in mortgages on these
mansions that were raided by the FEDS because he was
taking out eight bank loans that total one hundred and
forty million dollars. So it is getting worse and worse
and worse now Machine Gun Kelly, this audio has resurfaced
(21:43):
of did he actually giving him some type of mysterious
drug when he needed to go to sleep.
Speaker 17 (21:49):
I'd smoked something that Puffett gave me. It was as
if I had partied like three nights straight. It'll look
out like I was like, I'm about to go to
the airport. You know, I need someone that I will
knock me out. I mean, it totally did opposite.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
It was I was I did.
Speaker 17 (22:01):
I was doing crazy dance moves to the weirdest music
for twenty minutes straight like out, like while he was
on the phone and I was just outside the window
looking in while he was looking at me, like, man,
this guy stri is nuts.
Speaker 9 (22:14):
What was that?
Speaker 2 (22:16):
All right?
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Well, that is it was called to take that. Take that.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
That is your eat every day something different with Diddy.
But when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar. And if you have
AT and T, you may want to listen to this story.
I have AT and T. It's way up.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
It's in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
It's way up by Anngela Ye and God for you
is here? Yeah, what at During Financial Literacy Month, thank
you for being here.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Financial literacy money it is it should be all the time.
That's why everyone's broken. There's one percent that has all
the money.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
It's nice that Financial Literacy Month falls during tax time
because tax returns.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
This will teach you a lesson, learn how to do
your text now.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
They should have it that month a little bit before
tax season so you can prepare.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Not on the same month. Well, that's too late.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
We told you, But AT and T is investigating a
leak that actually dumped millions of customers data on the
dark web, personal information like social security numbers, all of
those things, and the data appears to be from twenty
nineteen or earlier. According to AT and T, that affects
about seven point six million current customers and sixty five
(23:28):
point four million former customers. Do you have credit monitoring
on like for yourself so you can see if anything's happening,
because I get stuff all the time, Like your information
was found on the dark web. Your information was found
on the dark web.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Yeah, my credit is so bad. It's like you good,
I feel that. Don't even check use you don't even check,
don't even check none.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Man, Oh my gosh, Scott, I keep telling you this.
We have to work on that.
Speaker 14 (23:53):
Wait.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Oh, you're gonna help me, right.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah, we're gonna, like, I want to make this a mission.
You're gonna help me on my Oh, I want to
help you get your credit right. So say you said that,
you said that, lad, I know, but I need you
to you know, you know, my credit is still bad
to be responsive to do this help me out, and
I want to.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
I want my credit to go way up.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Okay, let's work on that.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
I like that.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
Do you like that?
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Right?
Speaker 2 (24:14):
And Oregon, they have recriminalized small amounts of hard drugs
in twenty twenty. They had decided that they weren't going
to do that, but now they're going to restore criminal
penalties for possessing small amounts of hard drugs. That is
reversing our first in the nation law that people had
hoped would help quell a deepening addiction and overdose crisis.
(24:35):
Under the new law, the possession of small amounts of
drugs like heroin or meth will be classified as a
misdemeanor and punishable by up to six months in jail.
But they also will offer drug treatment as an alternative
to criminal penalties.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Because anytime they do stuff like that, I always go, oh,
what are they trying to do to black people again.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Recriminalizing that.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yeah, they're like this, we need to start throwing more
people in jail.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
No, I don't know, Christ, but he said meth.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
That's why.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
That's more white criminals. They're trying to trying to diversify
the jail system.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Finally, get to diversify the criminals.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Get some more white criminals.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
In there.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna escape.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
She yeh, all right, but that is you're under the radar.
And you know, we got the Way Up Mix at
the top of the hour, and I can guarantee you
that some of our guests their songs will be in
the Way Up mixed, The Winner Circle, Go, Griz Poo Beats,
London Jay. They produced some of your favorite songs and
written some of your favorite songs that are out right now.
It's way up.
Speaker 10 (25:30):
She's like the Talt like they Angela Jean like they
Angela jee.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
Man.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
It's way up. But angela ye, I'm angela Yee And
godfre's here.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
What up?
Speaker 2 (25:46):
And let's get into some meaty Sherry Shepherd. Her show
has been renewed for season three, so congratulations to her.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yes, that Showicago, What's Up?
Speaker 2 (25:56):
That's a big deal. She got four Daytime Emmy nominations
in the first and she's gotten five NAACP Image Award
nominations and she did win for Outstanding Hosting. The Talker.
News Information series are special, So congratulations to Sherry Shepherd.
She said, I'm so excited to continue bringing joy laughter
and inspiration to our viewers.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Right On, right On on Sherify Shephard representing the Shottown
comedians right.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
On, and Taylor Swift has been named a billionaire officially,
She's officially reached Forbes Billionaire status. She's the most famous
newcomer to the list.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
The Eras Tour is the first to surpass one billion
dollars in revenue, So congratulations to her. She has a
fortune of about one point one billion dollars based on
that tour, the value of her music catalog and her
real estate portfolio as well.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
She has a new album coming out too, by the way,
April nineteenth, The Tortured Poets Department. Wow, all right, and Roadhouse.
Since we're talking about records, Prime Video has a record
breaking fifty million global viewers that movie Roadhouse. I actually
started watching that with Jake Jillenhall.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
They Got, They Got Connor McGregor.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
I haven't seen it yet, but I saw the eighties
one with Patrick Swayzee and Sam Elliott, and I hope this.
I want to see it because I just want to
see Connor McGregor. I love Connor McGregor. Jill Hall is
a great actor.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
It's entertaining to watch. I heard it.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah, I bet you if they put some funny stuff
in it. If you see it's Cordiyat probably trying to
act like the eighties.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, I mean you got that. I watch it. But
there's one point where he gets stabbed and he's just
there with the knife sticking out it.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Who stabbed him gets nervous?
Speaker 9 (27:28):
I like that?
Speaker 2 (27:29):
All right. Party next Door has a Not Safe for
Work album cover, and he was trending because I was like,
why is Party next Door trending? But he did share
the artwork for his Party next Door four album, Part four.
It comes out on April twenty six. Here you go,
God for you. In case you didn't see it.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
That's all that guy, Oh yeah with the tramp step. Okay,
you like that?
Speaker 2 (27:50):
All right? So some people thought it was an April
Fools prank though, because it did come out yesday. You know,
you can't trust anything and it comes out April first,
any of that information, that's right, all right. Angel Reese,
she recently got very emotional as she was trying to
talk about her future and all the things that she's
had to go through. She's got a lot of attention
(28:10):
obviously for basketball well deserved, but unfortunately with some of
that come from negativity. Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
I've been through so much. I've seen so much.
Speaker 11 (28:20):
I'ven't been attacked so many times, death threats, I've been sexualized,
I've been threatening, I've been so many things, and I'm
sit shown every single time. I'm still human, Like all
this has happened since I won the national championship. And
I said the other day, I haven't happy since then.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Wait, wait, she was after they lost yesterday to Iowa.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Oh Lsu Yeah, oh okay, I was wondering when the
game was. Oh so they lost? Was it old girl?
That was she shooting them threes? Yeah? But you know
what I mean, what was the score?
Speaker 9 (28:51):
You know?
Speaker 1 (28:51):
The score was all right, ninety seven?
Speaker 6 (28:56):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
So yeah, didn't they win the last time?
Speaker 9 (29:00):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Say it's one one they got you know, Okay, but
that girls that she's broke records, yeah she so, and
so they started giving her death threat.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I mean, Katelyn, I was hitting those threes, you know.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Yeah, when you got a three point shooter like that,
it's it's hard. You can't stop them.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Forty one points, all right, well, that is your ut.
And when we come back, Godfrey, we gotta talk to you.
Oh no, all right, you got a lot going on
right now, good things. Got some beef as well. In
the meantime, Lit's here's some big a big Papa. It's
way up five way up with Angela ye more. Now
(29:37):
all right, it's way up at Angela yee. I'm here,
Godfre's here. Hello everyone, Godfrey. I feel like we got
to get to the bottom of this.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
We have to.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Everybody gets in trouble when they go on Club.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Ch oh, Club Chase. That's what it is, what it is,
That's what I do.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
You going on that show did initiate some back and
forth between you and Country Wayne. Here is what you said.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
First of all, I don't know Country Wayning at all,
but I watched his video. I give him his credit
for him making all that money. I was listening to
him like, oh, what how did you do this? I mean,
he making millions off of this. I wish I could.
But he said one statement that I disagree with, And
if I'm wrong, you correct me. If anybody's in the
comedy clubs, you're not a real comedian.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
I think he said that.
Speaker 18 (30:19):
Am I wrong something to that to say, and what
he was saying, yeah, that's his only choice is to
do those The people that you mentioned can do arenas,
they can do theaters.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Okay, Yeah, So I was saying that when he said, oh,
you know, because I think he was responding because him
and Faison were battling each other. You know, Faison goes
at the girls after everybody coming that country I don't
even know, but I just saw it. And Faison comes
at a lot of different people. He just keeps it
one hundred. But I just said, hey, I complimented Country
waying on his hustle and because I was taking a
(30:53):
page out of his thing doing social media, and I said,
I just disagree when he said, oh, if you're still
in comedy clubs, you ain't doing I said, first of all,
comedians don't talk like that. A real comedian doesn't say
if you're in a comedy because real comics go to
comedy clubs.
Speaker 9 (31:07):
D L.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Hugley, Earthquake, Airy Spears.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
All of us do.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
And by the way, when you do a theater, there's
a lot of fees you gotta pay. First off, you
gotta yeah, you gotta pay. Crue Light comedy clubs are free.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
And by the way, Godfrey has a go fund me.
Make sure you go to his go fund me cause
go fund me.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I'm gonna raise money for my own special special.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Like you just told you this, fees you gotta pay.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
There's fees you gotta pay. That's why people say you.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Have a Especially when you're filming someplace, you gotta.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Pay a lot, a lot.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
A lot of comedians are doing it on their own,
like Ali Sadik, who you gotta see his Domino Effect one,
two and three. You have to see Ali Sadik on YouTube.
It is fantastic and he's about to film his fourth one. Also, yeah,
I'm trying to I want to raise money till the
end of the year.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Go fund me.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
You can go to GoFundMe dot com Godfree Special and donate.
It's no different than donating in church. You know what
I'm saying. It's like I want to have control over
my own thing.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yeah, cuntry way.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
And I didn't even I complimented the guy, I don't
know what, and he just made a video in my
city and in Chicago and said, yo, keep my name
wrapper be for real.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
But my thing is is that.
Speaker 19 (32:18):
Okay, if you want some advice, I'm probably why you
never gained that audience, because, Bro, you the audience you
speaking to just ain't the Papa audience. Bro, if you've
been in this game, that loan and that audience ain't
came to you yet. Switch it up your hair cut,
own that interview, and that's why they don't rock with you.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
I don't ride through Chicago right now. I got to
show at a theater.
Speaker 20 (32:38):
That I'm gonna make a hundred k plus in the
real Chicago streets, gonna be in it. Ain't Nobody in
Chicago got that haircut and talking like that and leaning
like that when they talk, man, keep my name out
of your.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Mouth and life real. It wasn't.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I didn't know was he speaking in his haircut today?
Speaker 3 (32:53):
And this is me and I'm going to get my
hair cut again. But the haircut thing made me laugh.
I thought it was funny. Then I returned fire, so
he look like a lost OJ you know what I mean,
because he got a seventies R and B cut.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
I think Country's main thing, Country Wayne's main thing was like,
everybody keep my name out to mount, but nobody.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
I didn't say anything bad about the guy.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
I just did not say anything bad. No, he didn't misunderstand.
He was starting with me. I said, why didn't you
make a video for Faison? You should have talked like
that to Faison, who's been smashing on you talk to
Faison like that.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
The main thing when you went on club was you
trying to say, why are all these comedians beefing with
each other?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (33:28):
I felt like that was the gist of what you
were trying to say when it comes to the black comedians.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah, the black commedians because a lot of us listen
near our pockets, like you got Kevin Hart who takes
care of his crew.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
You got living different pockets.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
But as a whole, lot of us do not stick
together where it's like we don't want to help each
other out because we feel like we can't. If someone
gets this, they might. We need to be better at
really supporting each other. That's what I think we should be.
Even on social media, cats won't like your thing because
they don't want to give you any numbers.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
It's just there was so many things on right now,
Like Donelle was up here the other day while you
were here.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
Yeah, and and and Corey the Corey well, we shut.
Speaker 21 (34:04):
All that that.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
But it's it's getting ridiculous. It's it's dumb. We're grown men,
like you know. So I thought the Country Wayne thing
after he conjured that up that was crazy and a
lot of his fans were like, nah, dude, he never
he never dissed you.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Yeah, so kind of backfire. So but it's all love.
It's all love for the guys.
Speaker 6 (34:21):
I know.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I wish him well.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
I know Country Wayne, and I know that he does
work out a lot in comedy clubs, quietly because he
doesn't want He wanted to make sure before he did
his tour and his sign that he really was put
in the work.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
But he says, you've been in it that long? Yeah,
because comedy takes a long time, sir, That's yeah.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
I do it.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I'm blessed that I'm doing it this long, you know
what I mean? Okay, And my audience.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Does come to me, I can't.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I feel like when you guys talk, y'all are going
to really like each other and listen.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
I don't have any problem with the guy. He made
a video about me, like, yo, keep a mid of you.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Okay, See he got me. That's your problem knowing it
is I.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Got love for the guy? No, it's it's no me
but guys.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
But this this week I'll be at the Speaking of
Comedy Club Richmond, Virginia, Richmond Funny Bone this week Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. And my new uh instagram is Godfree

we have asked yee eight hundred and two nine fifty
any question you have. We're here to help its way
up with.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
It's relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts. This is
as key.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
What's up his way up at? Angela?
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Yee?
Speaker 2 (35:36):
I'm Angela yee. And Godfrey is here? Yill you ready
to get some advice? Godfrey?
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Let's go all right.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
We have Jessica on the line. What's up, Jessica?
Speaker 6 (35:44):
Hi?
Speaker 14 (35:44):
And so I have a question. So I have a
boyfriend and we're on We're expecting a baby.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
Mother, thank you?
Speaker 2 (35:56):
His mother bearing? Okay.
Speaker 14 (35:58):
He just wants to control every little aspect of our
planning for the baby, including she wants to name the baby.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
He has to stand up because it's because it can't
be you saying anything, because that'll make it even worse.
She's like, you don't tell me at a doctor.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
But I think, you know what I mean. I think
that he needs to step it up, and he's not.
He's getting a little punk by his mother.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah, that seems more like his responsibility than you. That's
his mom. What is he saying.
Speaker 14 (36:24):
He said that he doesn't want to like, you know,
because he's the only child. He doesn't want to make
her feel bad and feel like she's losing him.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
It's he doesn't have she doesn't have to lose him.
But there has to be a balance. You can't boundary, Yeah, boundary,
And yeah, he's that's what it is. It's that Oedipus
complex kind of you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Yeah, because it's gonna get worse if he doesn't do
something about it now, because he has to take her
into consideration.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Yes, but also you she has to know that he's
a grown man and he has a family now, so
he has to put his foot down.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
You gotta do it, You got to. You gotta give
him a nice lecture. You got to say, hey, you
gotta say something. This is getting too much, because it's
gonna get worse.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
I know this.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
And you said she wants to name the baby.
Speaker 14 (37:06):
She wants part in naming the baby. We're coming up
with names, and she's like, oh I don't like that name.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Listen, she don't have no input. So when it comes
to that, you and your husband can tell each other, like,
as long as he is he on board with you
when you tell him she has nothing to do with that.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Yes, Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 14 (37:25):
He's like really, I don't know. I feel like he's
fared to his mom.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
Of course, that's why you're gonna have to kick him
in his butt and let him know.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Nah.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Yeah, I think you guys have to be a team
with each other and be on the same page. That's
the main thing. You and your man have to be
on the same page so that she can say whatever
she wants to say when it comes to naming rights.
But you guys, ultimately yeah, yeah, had the last saying
and it shouldn't even play a part.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Oh god, you guys go to therapy real quick.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
No, Like, like if you can't just go to therapy
and get somebody that's really good at this like whole
marriage thing, and I'm sure that would help, I.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Think, But he's got to learn to set up those
boundaries now so it doesn't get worse and he's got
to be on the same page with it. As long
as you guys are united on that part, then that
should be fine. Of trying to kind of like just
you know, not let her know everything so that she
can't have input in things that she don't know about.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Because when the child comes thinking about that, take care
of no, but you gotta's head right.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
That baby, I don't know it don't look like.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
You you get a test.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Baby right now?
Speaker 5 (38:39):
That's a baby.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
Now, that's a ly baby.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
I told you, I told you to name it.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Well, yeah, seriously, so you know I'm joking, but yeah,
I think that you need to talk now. I'm telling
you I'd rather it be rough now, say no, we
can't have this.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Come on, be a man, be a man, grow up,
get your mother's out your mouth. You okay, smack his face,
but thank you for calling. And we really do hope
that that helps. All right, Yeah, okay, thanks and all right,
Well that was ask ye eight hundred two nine fifty
fifteen In case you couldn't get through. And when we
(39:17):
come back, we have some special guests joining us. We
have the Winner Circle that consists of Go Grizz, London Jay,
and Pool Beat. Some of your favorite songs produced and
written by the Winner Circle. It's way up about to
do this, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (39:30):
Y'all more way up with Angela on now you know.
Speaker 6 (39:33):
What it is?
Speaker 2 (39:34):
What it is, Well, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 9 (39:37):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
Everybody just was like, whoop, let's stop talking. I'm here, man,
I'm here. But we got from the Winner's Circle, some winners,
Go Gris, we got Poo Beats, we got London Jay.
Welcome guys, because you guys are all producer, songwriter.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
It was all that started with working with first for
me the movie.
Speaker 22 (39:59):
For me, it was Kevin Gates Give Me and him
got signed around the same year to the same label
like twenty thirteen. Wow, And that's really how I got
my foot in the door. Shout out to Kevin.
Speaker 23 (40:09):
The first artist I think we really really locked in.
We party was like Kwanda Kwanda, Young Boy. He had
a nice interview with both ye crazy and probably like
the first two I really locked in.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
He called me ma'am like a thousand times and then
London J. I met you as an artist.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah, first I signed Bob No John, Yeah, I signed
no Job.
Speaker 24 (40:34):
Back then when I met you, I think I did
lip sir, you did, and then I kind of transitioned
to writer.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
It just felt more like me, you know what I'm saying.
Why ain't got to be yelling them how they like?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Like right now we are talking to Winning Circle aka
who beats Go Griz and London J and as producers,
when you guys work with certain artists and they want
to have like a big you know, everybody us want
to have a big global hit. They want to be
able to cross over, you know. So when people come
to you and they have an idea of what they want,
(41:07):
right like, let's say they're like, oh, I want a
big mainstream hit. Is that a bad way to approach It's.
Speaker 22 (41:13):
Hard to call nowadays what is a big global hit?
Especially with TikTok and all these other avenues going on.
You might have a song that we never intended on
being a hit and it's hooked on.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
I think when you're going to the studio with the
intentions on making the hit, you ain't really gonna.
Speaker 9 (41:31):
Go.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Yeah, you got to let it free, work with the producer,
and just allow what the magic to happen. Whatever comes
out comes out, it's gonna find you.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Sometimes people feel like there's a formula, like they'll be like, okay,
second bpms are going to be more likely to get
played if it's slow.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
It's like fifty fifty.
Speaker 24 (41:49):
It's like it is, but it ain't at the same
I tell artist when I be working with artists, I
tell them most of the time, I'm like, make music
for that day, Like, don't even get outside that day,
because if you can track whatever your energy is in
the record, like you a win because now it's out
of ten, it's a million people feel like you feel
Today's like you.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Gotta be unapologetically yourself.
Speaker 22 (42:10):
That's why Sexy Red when as a fan, a lot
of the things these artists are saying, you may not
they might come out of their month and say that
and right, but when that Sexy Red playing saying, every fan,
look at if I can look at you and see
myself right, I'm a fan without even hearing your music,
you know what, and lifestyle sell more the music.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
You know what works for me with with the women artists,
like a Sexy Red or the City Girls and things
like that. I like the fact that I may not
be like that, but I like.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Your inner Yeah, city girl, Nobody's.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
Credit card, nobody. But I like the music because it's
fun to me.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
That's so.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
So it's kind of like that's not who I am necessarily.
Speaker 5 (42:59):
But it's.
Speaker 8 (43:03):
Something.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (43:08):
And channeling that.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
They see themself in a ratchet come out. And you
guys work with a lot of women, you know Lotto, Yeah, Glilla,
Sexy Red and so you prefer working with women.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah, it's a better feeling. I feel like women listen
more than the dude. Dudes got like egos. So now
we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna reject it first. Yeah,
they come in. Yeah, when you when you people, they're
gonna listen. All right.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
Winter's Circle Music and Publishing is here. That is go
Griz Poo Beats in London.
Speaker 25 (43:45):
Jay.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
They've done some huge songs for artists like Lotto, Nikki Minaj,
be A, twenty one Savage and Drake, you name it,
there on it. We have more with them when we
come back. It's way up.
Speaker 5 (43:55):
We're about to do this. Yeah, yea more way up
with Angelia on now.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
What's up this way? You put Angela Yee, I'm Angela
Yee and we are talking to go griz Pool Beats
and London j from Winners Circle Music. They have over
ninety four Platinum records, fifty three Gold certified records, seventy
six Billboard Number one records, and nine Grammy nominations. What's
one of the most creative sessions that you've had?
Speaker 24 (44:21):
Were in the studio glow one night, the idea what
we're gonna do. I'mnna put my phone on eight minutes.
She's like, everybody gotta write whatever whatever, Everybody write their
full bar everybody.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
In anybody.
Speaker 24 (44:35):
She's like, you got eight minutes. We played to be
eight minutes. We came up, We put all of it
together and made us on just to see what it
is how to feel. But five came in crazy.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Yeah, that's fine, that's like a it's like boxing, you
getting the ring.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Yeah, like she taught me so. But you, guys, open
and learning creating that. This is creative energy.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Now, let me ask you on this. Like we've been
watching everything because the producer stuff have right now, it's crazy.
We've been watching everything with metro Booming and Future and
Drake and now they're like, oh, this person, I'm followed
this person when it comes to working with different artists,
like let's say you have somebody like Lotto who you
work with all the time, but then somebody else wants
to work with you, but maybe they don't get along,
(45:17):
like what happens in the producer world, Like do you
have to tell somebody like like I'm working with Drake,
but I know he not really messing with Kendrick right now,
but like how does that work?
Speaker 1 (45:26):
I think it depends on how serious the beef is.
Speaker 23 (45:28):
If it's like some little petty stuff, then like you
just have a convent, or it depends on how your
relationship is with the artists, because some of these artists
like they really ain't got no loyalty to us.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
So it's like why it had been some artists I
feel like, man, I ain't doing that because it is.
Speaker 23 (45:41):
And it's like when the business gets started, they trying
to holt and be like, oh no, we ain't doing that,
and it's like, so we're our little tier. I just
stopped working with this person because of you. But I
can't even get my points or my my my payment
or whatever. It just like it depends. But we locked
in with somebody, then I'm definitely gonna be loyal to
the person that I'm locked in with.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
Why do you artists be sensitive to man?
Speaker 2 (46:04):
They didn't nothing to do with getting our money, Like
I didn't even know you didn't like.
Speaker 24 (46:10):
Especially how music getting them difficult, Like you gotta pick
a side.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
And that's what it was like, Look at how Gunna
has managed to return and people were looking at him
like nobody's gonna work with him.
Speaker 24 (46:25):
And you gotta look at it when it comes to that,
like eighty percent of the music.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Thing now is they don't care about what we care about.
Speaker 24 (46:34):
First of all, I ain't live that type of life
to understand it, and then that ain't sign up for.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
It, so they don't give a damn. They look like
everybody make good music, you.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
Know, And I think what he did was the right
thing to do, like just don't address none of that.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
But he did for himself music and the music is good, great.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
And then after that it's.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
Kind of like, you know, we gotta they did the
right thing for himself by by not letting it eat him.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
They could have just hated me.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
He could have jail won a way. You know what
I'm saying, But he fought back, told me a long
time ago it hit song. Let's fix anything.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Right now we are talking to We're a circle a
k A. Who beats Go Griz and London Jay. How
was it doing?
Speaker 11 (47:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Glow because that it was fun?
Speaker 5 (47:18):
It was so fun glow glow fun anyway?
Speaker 24 (47:21):
Like now she is like, who, Like she liked that
at first, but once you get past that, yeah first
live Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Man, what I'm saying the girls cool, Like I like
to hear that came out like this. She's like, well,
go what is it like?
Speaker 22 (47:37):
But another produced people be We gotta find out how
to relate, you know, Like I pull up on glow,
I might have a bond it on to make her
feel comfortable because you pull up.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
You know what I'm saying, You're coming by and I'm
gonna combine it with you. You know what I'm saying,
Like we're here, I don't like that to.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Like cool easy sit here about because it's like but
that's so much more difficult.
Speaker 24 (47:59):
They way they make everything we do one hundred percent ways.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
Now, if they don't respect you, that's your problem. You
got to you gotta see it past that part, once
you get past the little the guard.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
You appreciate y'all so much for coming. You know, we
known each other for a long time so and I
love to see what y'all have been doing. Some of
our favorite songs that are out right now Grammy nominated Grammy.
