Speaker 2 (00:06):

By the way, did you know that?

Speaker 4 (00:39):
No?

Speaker 5 (00:39):
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yes, April is financial literacy month. So today Cassandra Cummings
is going to be here. She is the founder of
the Stocks and Stiletto Society. She has over one hundred
thousand black female investors in her group, so it's one
of the fastest gooring investment groups for women period. And
she's the author of Fairless Finance is a Timeless Guide
to building wealth. And she's a certified nancial advisor. So

(01:01):
she'll be joining us today and Mano is here. It
feels like a holiday, you know, it feels like, you know,
I expected to walk in here to like a parade, like.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Yeah, we can do shots no shots.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
That's what you want.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Ramadan? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
When is that over? I don't know, you kids, just
come in here. It's Ramadan.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
You have you're supposed to be a month I've been
on though.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Let me see when it is Ramadan over? Okay, that
was over. I'm kidding, it's not ends April ninth. Okay, Well, anyway,
we are going to shine a light. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is a number, and we
have a special one today because our girl Sydney, who
works with us, is up here and she's gonna do
shina light when we come back. But so are you.

(01:43):
Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty. Let's shina light.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Turn your lights on.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
Y'all's breading love to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Light, shine a light on. It's time to shine a
light on them.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah am Angela.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Ye.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Manos in the building, hey, and it's time to shine
a light. Eight hundred and two nine fifty fifty. And
we got Sydney in here. Hey, good morning, Sydney. We're
to us every single day. She's in charge of our
digital and social media. So tell us who you want
to shine a light on.

Speaker 7 (02:17):
Well, today I want to shine a light on my Mommykay,
happy birthday to the aries gang out here birthday. She
is so so important and I love her to death
and I just wanted to shine a light on her
today and shout out to the city of Philadelphia, especially
the IT infrastructure manager Sue p going down.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Okay, give us a great story about how your mom
has shaped you into who you are today. Oh my gosh,
there's too many to count. That's one that sticks out. Okay,
I can say she did so good story.

Speaker 7 (02:51):
She loves horror movies, so she has framed me to
love them as well. One night she came home and
just turned off all the lights and just said, candy man.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Can oh it's enough, don't look in Americas.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
And me and my cousin ran around the house super crazy,
afraid that he was just going to pop up.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
So she's, you know what, may know, Grego's in the building,
but he to her. And by the way, just so
she knows, Denzel is number one on Netflix for his
serial killer thriller right now, so she should watch that.
Well it's old the Little Things. Yeah, so you know,
all right, Well, who do you guys want to shine

(03:28):
a light on eight hundred two, nine fifty fifty. What's that's, Samantha?
Who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 8 (03:32):
My son, Elijah. He's eleven years old and he has
a heart of gold. He's always wanting to feed the homeless.

Speaker 9 (03:37):
And now he is going through some medical stuff and
for Eastern all he wanted to do was give to
everybody else.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Oh Elijah, that is so sweet. So he's being really
giving even though he's having some medical problems.

Speaker 8 (03:53):
Yeah, they just found a fist on his brain and
he's going to have some neurosurgery testing this week, and
he just puts it.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
For Easter.

Speaker 9 (04:02):
All he wanted to do was go out.

Speaker 8 (04:04):
And feed the homeless.

Speaker 9 (04:05):
And I said to him, Aliza, you have to think
about yourself, and he was like, no, Mom, He's like
we're fine. He's like, you always make sure we're okay.
He's like, we have to make sure everybody else is fine.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Oh my gosh. That is so what a sweetheart. And
they feel like he'll be okay though.

Speaker 9 (04:18):
Right we're hoping it was found by mistake. Keep passed
down at a water park and started shaking and we
rushed him to the hospital and they found it on
his brain by doing his skin because he was unresponsive.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
All right, well, you know what, Thank god they found
out and he's in good spirits. And I'm praying for
Elijah right now. But thank you so much for calling.
It feels like he learned that from you.

Speaker 9 (04:40):
I couldn't have raised the better kids.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
All right, well, thank you so much for colling. Shout
out to you, Elijah.

Speaker 9 (04:45):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
All right, Well that was shine a light. And when
we come back, we have your yee tea, and let's
talk about everything that's been happening with Diddy. I know
every single day Misa Hilton, the mother to Justin, his
oldest son, is speaking out and so is the V
will tell you what both of them had to say.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
It's way up, they say in the rooms from industry shade.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
To all the gossip out angelus spilling that et.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
It's way up. And Mano's here with you. Yeah yeah,
let's get into some yet. Let's talk about Ditty as
we've been doing every single day. So Misa Hilton, who
is Justin's mother, and Justin is thirty years old right now,
that's Ditty's son. Justin's restaurant was named after him. She
went on social media and this is her first time
speaking on what's been happening with the house raids, with

(05:32):
all the allegations against Diddy, But she's more coming for
their children, all right, And she said the over zealous
and overly militarized force use against my sons, Justin and
Christian is deplorable. If these were the sons of a
non black celebrity, they would not have been handled with
the same aggression. The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these
innocent young black men is despicable. Enough is enough? Did

(05:56):
Justin need several laser beams from firearms pointed at his chest?
Did christ Send need a gun pointed at the back
of his head while he was handcuffed? How many times
have we seen young, unarmed black men not make it
out of these types of situations alive. So she did
say that she has retained an attorney as they are
investigating this. Now, one thing I have said all along

(06:17):
is I feel really bad for the kids, right, you know,
because they did have to deal with all of this. Well,
now there is a lawsuit against Christian Holmes that is
happening that he's being accused of sexually assaulting and drugging
a woman. You know. He did write on social media
that it was cap. He did say, you know cap,
but we don't know exactly what he was referencing. But

(06:39):
he has not addressed these directly. So there is a
lawsuit in the works. We don't have all of the details.
The alleged victim has yet to be revealed, and right
now everything is kind of sparse. But these claims have
been made, so we shall see what happens with that man.
This is like so much fallout now. In the meantime,

(07:00):
there are people who are coming to his defense. Stevie J,
who's obviously one of the producers who works very closely
with Diddy, who also was at his house working on
his album, had this to say on TMZ.

Speaker 10 (07:12):
Whatever someone does in their bedroom, that's what they do.
I don't got nothing to do with that. I'm just
here to say that I've never seen my men doing
anything final like they talk about. I'm known him for
twenty nine years and then it's like with guys like
like fifty Uncle Tom cast like that. You know, he
wants to bring the black community down worse than anyone else.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Now, MANO you also spoke on this on the Bailer
Alert podcast, and the headlines with things like Mano suggest
diddy sexual assault lawsuits are propaganda and clowns accuse it,
little ride. But let's hear exactly what happened.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Do you think it's like agenda to destroy pop?

Speaker 11 (07:55):
This is one of saying, you know anything about the
sixties and what they did with black leadership and all
that they divide and conquered cointell.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Pro what they would do us.

Speaker 11 (08:03):
They will put out misinformation, have us looking at each other,
and also propaganda which is fed through the media. It's
a tool that's always been used. So I'm not quick
to jump at what everybody else is running towards Billy.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Okay, so that was the headline there.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Let's not Meek defending Diddy. I ain't in a position
to defend Ditty.

Speaker 11 (08:26):
I'm just saying in general, I'm not quick to just
run left when everybody else is running left. Let's wait
and see what's happening. If somebody done something wrong, then
I mean, they're gonna be accountable. But at the same time,
do I feel like sometimes there's an agenda? Yeah, I mean,
and let's not act like because they're like, oh, man,
he's you're comparing him to a to a to a
leader in the sixties.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
No, I'm just.

Speaker 11 (08:47):
Saying he's a powerful black man, right, and you know,
we know he was having issues or whatever. And then
a lot of these things are coming out. I don't
know if all of these things are true, but generally
we've seen this before period.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah, okay, all right, well that is your yut. And
when we come back, Oh, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what he did last night. I
was out last night and I never do this until
like one thirty in the morning, but we'll talk about it.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
It's well, so about last night, Yes, he went down.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Okay, you like that song it's way up. It's about
last night. Ma, No, it's bad. Yeah, So tell me
what you did last night, and then I'll tell you
what I did.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Oh. Well, I flew back in town.

Speaker 11 (09:31):
I got back about about one o'clock in the You exhausted, Yeah,
a little bit, okay, because I knew I wanted to
come here in the morning. Yes, I stayed in Atlanta
extra two days. I wanted to pull up at the
court at the courthouse to see young Thug. I didn't
feel it was right that I was, you know, out
promoting the song, and then I was I got to
Atlanta and then gotta go see him. Yeah, you know,
I just don't feel like, you know, that was cool.

(09:52):
So I got to see him. You know, I walked
in the court room. He looked up, he smiled. You
see me, you know, throw a thumbs up, you know,
hearing good spirits.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
You know.

Speaker 11 (10:01):
I stayed for a while. They put in the motion
to try to have those lyrics suppressed. The George denied it,
but I thought it was important for me to show up.
This is sort of that support for him, and you
know I did that.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Okay, I love it.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Well.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Last night I was out late, and you know I
do not stay out late, but I did Godfrey's and
Godfrey Retrust podcasts with him and Dante Narrow. Supposedly it
starts at ten instead a little after ten, and then
I was there till like one am doing the podcast.
But it was good. It was fun. It was a
great conversation. I know both of them, and so we

(10:35):
talked about a variety of different things.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
You know.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
They asked me questions about my own coming into this
radio business, what I did before that, and then we
had some great conversations about current events and entertainment and
all of that. So you could check that out on
Godfrey's page. You know, he has a go fund me
because he's trying to get funding to do his own
comedy special because he was talking about how certain coming

(11:00):
like they haven't been getting those offers from these networks.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
It.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Yeah, so you kind of got to do it just
out exactly, and so he's trying to get that done.
So we were talking about the stigma of GoFundMe because
sometimes people feel like when you start that, you know
it just people sometimes can be embarrassed to do it.
But Dante talked him into it, so I'm glad he did.
So make sure you donate to his GoFundMe. And then
I was also meeting with have you ever done virtual golf?

Speaker 5 (11:28):
I've done top golf?

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Okay, So there's a golf Zone Social that's going to
be coming to Brooklyn and it's opening in a in
maybe like a month, and so I was meeting with
Sean from golf Zone Social and so I'm excited about that.
I just did virtual golf for the first time when
I was in Detroit, at the MGM, I did top
golf and it was really fun. But they're gonna have
people that can actually train you, you know, to be

(11:51):
able to like real PGA golfers that can train you professionals.
So I'm excited about that. And so that's going to
be opening since so I know, oh, whenever you decide
to come to Brooklyn, we'll go.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
No, you gotta stop, like you just have to stop.
I'll be there.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Okay. So I'm excited about that. But yeah, that was
fun because I've decided I used to play field hockey.
A lot of people don't know that, but I did
play field hockey when I was in high school.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
That's the one in the grass. Yeah, but it's not
real hockey.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, field hockey.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
Yeah, but it's not like you got to be on
the ice, baby, phil Is.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I mean, it's it's a different sport. It's just like
you know what, and that ball moves a lot slower
on the grass and heavy.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
Yeah, it's like, yeah, not like real.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Don't do that. Don't do that to yourself because I
have them feel hockey women waiting downstairs for you with
their sticks and their mouthguards and their shan guards. What
did it attack all right, well anyway, eight hundred fifty
one fifty. It is time for tell us a secret again.
This is where when people were like Mano for this segment,
we need to hear.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
I'm back baby here.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Tell us a secret. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty callers. Now this is a judgment.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Freezer, tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Oh hey, it's way up at Angela. Yee A'm angela yee.
Mano is here. You're okay, may No.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Everything is happening, and everything everything is man tell us
a secret.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Oh I got well eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty. It's no judgment. May No cannot judge it
because he has his own secret. Hello, and Adams called
tell us your secret.

Speaker 12 (13:19):
I'm reading from Alana right when we got Damn.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
I moved to Ohio. Now, been dealing with this girl.
I figured out if he got a whole nother man.
But the man that he's dealing with, I.

Speaker 12 (13:31):
Don't know about what he knows about me. But he
really don't know about me.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
But right now he's five months pregnant. That's my baby,
but he still think it is.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
How do you know it's yours?

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Though, I know how like that.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Ain't here people up from the area.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Are you gonna take care of the baby?

Speaker 4 (13:48):
He gonna take care of the baby.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Oh, he gonna take here the baby.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
You're gonna get a test?

Speaker 12 (13:52):
No, No, he ain't.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
So you want to act like it's not yours even
though you know it is.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
If he's happy, I'm happy. I'm good with being a
side dude.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
You laugh, You laughing like you just came off with
a couple of million.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Though, Like, what if that baby look just like you?
You're not gonna fael away.

Speaker 12 (14:10):
Oh no, the baby come out looking just like me.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I'm not gonna.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Trying to avoid this. It's a dangerous thing. And I
think everybody could say that. But when that baby is
born and you see that baby become a billionaire later
in life, you're gonna be like, man, I should have
stepped up. All right, Well, thank you for calling.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Yeah, he just pulled off the heights of the century.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Hey anonymous calling?

Speaker 9 (14:31):
How are you?

Speaker 12 (14:32):
No, I'm not anonymous. I want to save my name
man from Brownsville gangster. You're all about to put y'all
on to what's going on?

Speaker 5 (14:39):
Though, Man, Okay, let's hear it.

Speaker 12 (14:41):
So I had a childhood friend. Me and him got
into an altercation. So instead of me like being him up,
I just just on found I'm not gonna lie, I'm
cousin up and then sent.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Them the video.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Oh my god, man, that ain't that foul?

Speaker 11 (14:56):
Like if you had if you had knocked off his
wife or his girl, would have been really foul. Cousin
is like, get it, that ain't really that Ain't that
ain't really on the foul.

Speaker 12 (15:04):
Sending him the video in foul.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
I mean, that's light, But.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
That's really more hurt the cousin than anybody else.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
I'm saying, hurt the cousin. You should have did his
wife or his girl or you know, maybe his mom's
and something. You really want to be foul, Like, you
know what I'm.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Saying, get close to them if I kind of guy like.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
The moment, you should call back when you foul.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
Bro, No no, no, But you don't know.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
But what didn't the cousin do to deserve this?

Speaker 12 (15:26):
He took is too, so that's why afterwards he was
like trying to you know what I'm saying, instigate the situation.
So I'm in the video.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
You gotta go deeper, bro, like Pauls say, you gotta
you gotta do you know what I'm saying, Like, if
you're gonna do it, do it now.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
You gotta understand.

Speaker 12 (15:41):
I know this god, this guy he go hard for
his family, Like.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
But if you would have knocked off his wife or
his girl somebody he was sleeping with.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
But he ain't got one though, A wait for him
to get one day and.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Then call back all made him feel bad about his secret,
like it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
It wasn't really, it wasn't like fol okay, the file
wasn't filing all right.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Well that was tell us a secret. It was supposed
to be no judgment, but you made that guy feel
like my secret wasn't nothing.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
They gotta start really calling up there, really, you know.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
We need some foulness.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
Yeah, like if you're going to go here, go there.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
And he gave his name and everything he wasn't secret in,
but that is tell us a secret. And when we
come back we have your yee te. Well, let's talk
about Lizzo. You know, she says she quit, but what
does she mean when she said she quit? We'll talk
about it. It's way up the shore.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
She's about to blow the lead ab off this, but
let's get it. Angelus building that yet, come and get
the tea.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here,
Mano's here. No, we need a behind the scenes show.
But since we just played Nicki Minaj, let's talk about
this letter that was written more than two hundred artists
that include Billie Eilish, Nicki Minas, the Jonas Brothers. They
wont tech companies and artificial intelligence developers and digital music
services to cease the use of AI over concerns of

(16:54):
the impact that it will have on artists and songwriters.
That open letter was actually published yesterday and talking about
the unregulated use of AI in the music industry that
could sabotage creativity, undermined artists, songwriters, musicians and the rights holders.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Be playing with that AI. This is the rise of
the machines.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Yeah, so you know, be careful with that, everybody, because
and artists do need to start thinking about this now
before it's too late.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Not just all it's just every aspect of life, all right.

Speaker 8 (17:21):
Now.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Beyonce has been sending a lot of bouquets out to people,
and one person who's got a bouquet of flowers no,
I'm not an artist that she was inspired by. But
Jack White shared photographs of a bouquet and a thank
you note, and it said, I hope you are well.
I just wanted you to know how much you inspired
me on this record. So he expressed his admiration. He said,
what a sweet gesture to receive here in Nashville this

(17:42):
morning from the talented and gracious Beyonce celebrating her new
Cowboy Carter album. And so people have been getting these
these flowers from her as she is now the first
black woman to reach number one on Billboards Hot Country
Songs chart with her Texas Hold'em. And her other single,
sixteen Carriages, debuted at number nine on that same chart.
So shout out to Beyonce. Now, the first week predictions

(18:05):
they are saying is going to be four hundred and
five thousand units. Can you believe that? I mean, that
is crazy.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
This is nineties numbers.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
They said. The pure sales that she has from that
that's one hundred and seventy one thousand units is going
to outseill the entire Billboard two hundred combined. Okay, Beyonce,
Cowboy Carter and Michelle Obama has also congratulated her. She
posted a message to her, you have changed the game
once again by helping redefine a music genre and transform
our culture. I'm so proud of you. And then she

(18:37):
also of course encourage people to vote. All right, we
need to keep the faith and vote, and you can
register at when we all vote.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
All right.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Now, Lizzo has added some clarity around her recent declaration
that she is quitting music. People thought she was quitting music,
but here's what she had to say. She said she's
not leaving music per se. She clarified when she said
I quit what she meant.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
When I say I quit, I mean I quit giving
any negative energy attention.

Speaker 13 (19:08):
What I'm not gonna quit is the joy of my life,
which is making music, which is connecting the people, because.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
I know I'm not alone, all right. So that's just
for clarity. She's still gonna be joyous in her music
and do what she loves, but she is not going to,
you know, I guess share certain things with people. She's
gonna quit responding and giving energy. That's a hard thing
to do sometimes as an artist, but I think that
makes the most sense. I had a conversation on Godfrey's

(19:36):
podcast about that just last night, all right, and now
let's talk about Fallin from Real Housewives of Atlanta formerly
from Real Housewives of Atlanta, And she has said publicly
before that that show kind of ruined a lot of
what she had going on and definitely ruined her marriage
and Portia, as we all know, married her ex husband
Simon Quick But now after fifteen months, they have decided

(19:58):
to end their marriage, and Fallin is speaking out for
the first time about the tea that she has. I've
got tea coming for y'all. Okay, I know y'all been
waiting for me to say something.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
I'm coming.

Speaker 5 (20:10):
Well, we're not gonna do.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
They'll be coming on here be a messy y'all. All right,
So I guess at some point she's gonna have something
to say, and I know people want to hear that
because this was such a crazy situation from the beginning.
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They are
flying under the radar. Have you ever may or seen

(20:33):
somebody on the plane that was dressed inappropriately or is
this such a thing? What you mean like someone getting
on the plane as a passenger and you're like you.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
Were another girl like like, oh she got on that,
I enjoyed it. Okay.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Anyway, this passenger is saying that she was told to
she got escorted off a flight, and will tell you
what she had on or didn't have on that caused
that to happen. And under the radar, it's way up.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
These stories are flying under the radar, all right.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
This way up with Angela. Ye, I'm Angela. Yee manos
in the building?

Speaker 5 (21:03):
No man, now you.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Ready to go under the radar. Let's do it all right, Well,
let's talk about home purchases. More than one third of
homes in February were purchased with cash. You know why
that is mortgage rates are still ridiculously high. Yeah, so
the rate of all cash purchases is within striking distance
of the record high. The record high was thirty eight
percent and twenty thirteen. This is a time when cash rules.

Speaker 12 (21:27):
You know.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
I was actually when I was seeing this story this morning,
I was looking at what I paid for my house
and the mortgage I took out, and I got a
three point twenty five percent rate because I got it
at a time when the rates were really low, and
I was comparing it to what the rate what it
would be now. And you know what the difference is
in price per month on my mortgage. If I would
have had to get like a six point eight percent,

(21:50):
it would be an additional four thousand dollars a month.
And that is why, And that's you know, it was
an expensive house. But you know, even if you look
at something that's it's probably about like thirty forty more
than what she would be paying. So that's crazy, all right.
Now a Delta passenger is calling on them to change
their policy. She was escorted off a flight because she
didn't have on a bra Lisa Archbold. She said the

(22:12):
gate agent told her it was offensive and revealing. Now
she has an attorney. This is a story that we
heard previously in January. It got some attention, but now
she's lawyered up. She has Gloria already as her attorney.
That was wrong, what to escort her?

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Yeah, like she didn't have a bra on.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yeah, she said that she was told her outfit was offensive,
it was revealing. She was allowed to get back on
the plane after putting on a button up shirt that
she tied around her that she had tied around her.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
This is America.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
She said she was targeted and humiliated. She said, I
wore the same clothing any man might wear. I also
have a chest smaller than many men on that flight.
Where does delta draw the line?

Speaker 5 (22:52):
Throw the line Delta, this is America. She should be
able to wear no bra.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
I do find that to be a weird It is
so wrong. I don't know the picture of what that
was like. But I also feel like you shouldn't be
forced to do Yeah. I mean maybe it was, but
we see guys nipples when they wear shirts if it's cold, right,
I don't know about that for real. All right, well
that is you're under the radar, now, you know. We

(23:17):
got the Way Up Mix at the top of the
hour plus it is a Wealth Wednesday, and Cassandra Cummings
is going to be joining us. She is the founder
of Stocks and Stilettos, and she has great information. She
has an amazing group of women who are it's the
fastest growing female investor group, over one hundred thousand women

(23:37):
Black female investors. And she's also the author of Finance Fearless.
Finance is a timeless guide to building Wealth and she's
a financial advisor, and she says, and I'm all around
amazing person. I was at her event in Vegas and
when I tell you, I met so many great people.
But we'll talk about it on a Wealth Wednesday. It's
way up.

Speaker 13 (23:54):
She's like the chout like they a Jeal Jean like
they and Jeli Jean Man.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way off.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
It's way Epamandela yee Mano is here, no Starvin. All right,
let's get into some yet. Angel Reesa announced today that
she's headed to the WNBA. She did this via a
profile in Vogue. She said, I've done everything I wanted
to in college. I've won a national championship. I've gotten
Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. I've been at All American.
My ultimate goal is to be a pro and to

(24:24):
be one of the greatest basketball players to play. Ever.
I feel like I'm ready. She had until tonight to
announce her future plans. She had the option to remain
at LSU for one more season under the COVID waiver,
but now she is going to go to the WNBA.
That draft will be held on April fifteenth. All right,
that's gonna be huge. Donathan Majors, he wanted a judge

(24:45):
to toss his criminal charges, but the court denied that request.
So that means that if the conviction stands, that means
the conviction stands and he will be sentenced. So you know,
we're gonna find out pretty soon. As a matter of fact,
he'll be sent on April eighth. He's facing up to
one year behind bars. That's the worst case scenario or probation,

(25:05):
depending on what the judge decides.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
What about his Coretta, she's.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
By his side, still okay? And the Feds, according to prosecutors,
they're saying that a former federal prosecutor, Niyama Ramani, is
also the president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, says that
the FED raided Ditties homes over concerns of video evidence

(25:31):
of sex crimes that could have been destroyed. So they
did get the search warrants to raid the house, and
they wanted to make sure they got all video footage
that was on phones, computers, drives on the CCTVs before
any of it could be destroyed. That's why there were
so many people there. And they said the level of
force is likely because the FEDS likely already had the

(25:51):
case and corroborating witnesses. This is an extra search for
evidence and is done with the element of surprise and
force so that evidence, particularly video evidence, cannot be destroyed.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
You said this.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
This is the former federal prosecutor and the president of
West Coast Trial Lawyers giving more information the significant law
enforcement presence related to the size of his properties, and
the last thing you want when conducting a raid is
to have too few agents and to put them at
a risk of violence. There's also the possibility that individuals
flee or that they destroy evidence. I feel like this

(26:24):
is in response to me, says saying, why would you
have so many agents and why would you arrest have
the kids in handcuffs and things like that. All right, now,
here's some other news that just broke chance. The rapper
and his wife, Kirsten have announced that they are getting
a divorce. They have been separated from months, and she
posted on social media after a period of separation, the

(26:44):
two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways.
We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for
the time we spent together. God has blessed us with
two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together.
We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate
this transition. Man, they've been together for quite some time,
and at such a young age. Two five years they

(27:05):
were married, but I think they were together before that,
you know, for a while too so and he always
tells the story about how much he really wanted he
did a whole album for his wife. All right, and
Rob Wade was arrested in Florida for possession of a
firearm by a convicted felon. This actually happened today. That's
the arrest of April third, twenty twenty four, and so
we will have more information for you as that breaks

(27:27):
and Made in America is not going to take place
in twenty twenty four. And they just posted. Since its inception,
this groundbreaking festival has celebrated music and community, from creating
a space for fans to connect to uplifting local small businesses.
But they said they are now reimagining a live music experience.
It affirms our love and dedication to music and the
work we do. We promise an exciting return to the festival.

(27:49):
A lot of news just broke and that is your
yee t and when we come back, we have asked
Yee eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is
and I'm gonna call this up. Anything you want to
ask us. We're here to help its way up with it's.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Relationship, career advice. Angela's dropping facts. This is key.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
What's up? His way up with Angela Yee? I'm Angela
Yee and the new MANO is in the building. He's
also an award winning advice giver. You're gonna love this
one today for asking. We have a Lance on the line.
What's up, Lance?

Speaker 4 (28:16):
I'm trying to figure out what I should do about
my girl. Man, my birthday was yesterday, so I posted
on Instagram and a whole bunch of people was telling
me have the birthday particular. My ins fiancee commented on it,
and we haven't been in contact. Man, God lord, how long?
She basically told me half the birthday I love you,
and I just you know, responded fans and was like,

(28:39):
thank you, I love you, I love you.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
No that old thing back, no, but I don't know.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Yeah, I was responding to everybody.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Well, first of all, happy birthday, Sarah. You ruined your
day right and that's your ex fiance, not your ex girlfriend,
not somebody you're messed with. Does she know you're in
a relation and ship? Yeah, that's disrespectful already. And then
you wrote that back to her. You know how that
made your woman feels.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
I don't have with no woman there. You my girl
understand that, So it ain't like like we're grown.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Well, then why is she mad?

Speaker 3 (29:16):
If she understands that, why is she mad?

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Because he said, I love you.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Listen, immature.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Even when you're talking to me, you're acting like it's
no big deal. It is a big deal to her,
So you cannot say it's nothing. She knows this. She
knows that it may have looked silly publicly. You know
how many people probably looked at your birthday post, friends,
family members, her friends, your friends, and was like, WHOA.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
So I ain't trying to jumping by you though, and
I'm not thinking away from her feels. I didn't say
none of that to her. Immediately apologized. I'm gonna tell
you exactly what I said. Immediate dude, I said, I'm
sorry for being inconsiderate, rude, and stupid. I take it
down immediately and then I say no, excuse me. And
then I said I'm sorry, please forgive me.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Okay, And what does she say?

Speaker 4 (30:02):
She said, no, you're will or I don't care. I
say no excuse to say, leave me alone? And then
I'm sorry, please forgive me. She say, I'm good.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
You know I would say, man, Okay.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
No you wouldn't. You know she's upset, and so you
just have to respect that.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
Do they know each other? Do your ex and your
new brother? They don't know each other.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
Nah, they don't know each other. They're from two different
points of earth.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
What happened when she came home?

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Just walking past each other?

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Okay, well, now you got to say let's talk, and
you got to set that up. And when she gets
when she gets home today, maybe have some food ready
if you have to order it, whatever you have to do.
Sit down with some wine. Let's have a conversation. Let's
discuss this. I ruined my birthday yesterday. I did not
mean to do that to you. It's all about you.
I made a mistake. I'll never do it again. All

(30:52):
the things you have to say and mina and also
know how to move forward and ask her what does
she need you to do now you want me to
block her blocked because that was disrespectful of her to
do that. You know she knew what she was doing.

Speaker 12 (31:04):
It had to be Melissa, like she just started following
me on my birthday, like we've been broke up for
like ten years, we just started following me up today.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Ten years. Because then that makes it feel like you
miss her, Like why did you even respond to her? Y'all?
Ain't y been together? You're still thinking about her? You
just need to You need to like.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
Other girls on that too, who said I love you
and I said I love you back too.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Yes, I'll say right, And just how you're talking to
us and arguing with us about it, don't do that
with her. Just listen to what she's saying. You understand
your messed up period, not well but this, but that,
but this hapened.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
No, well, I'm just doing that with.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Y'all to pick y'all brain. I ain't gonna do that
with her because that'll sound like justifying or excuse me.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
All right, well, thank you, I appreciate you for calling
you seem like a good guy, said thank y'all. Way
up with you, all right, happy birthday? And that was
ask ye eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
in case you couldn't get through. And when we come back,
it's a Wealth Wednesday and we have the founder of
Stocks and Stilettos, Cassandra Commings, joining us as we kick

(32:11):
off Financial Literacy Month. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dog.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
What's it's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and my Wealth Wednesday partner, Stacy Tisdale is here today.

Speaker 13 (32:29):
Happy National Financial Literacy Month, and we are going to
make you all very literate in the stock market, so
we don't miss this next bull market with the one
and only Cassandra Cummings, who is the founder of the
Stocks and Stiletto Society, which is a group of over
one hundred thousand black female investors, and she's also the

(32:50):
author of Fearless Finance, a timeless guide to building wealth.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Always a pleasure to have you, by the way, such
an amazing community. When I went to her event in Vague,
I met so many people that I keep in touch
with to this day really, you know, and I think
things like that are so valuable because you want to
be around people who are interested in the things that
you're interested in. In the conversations that we were able
to have, I mean I met angel investors, hotel owners,
all black women you know at this event. So yeah,

(33:18):
its credible.

Speaker 13 (33:19):
First of all, tell everybody about Stocks and Stiletto Society.
It's over one hundred thousand.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
The fastest going online community for women investors.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
So.

Speaker 14 (33:27):
I started the community about eight years ago, and I
really just wanted to teach women how to buy stock,
how to buy and sale stock in the stock market,
because when I was with the firm, a lot of
my clients didn't look like me. And I'm like, you know,
we have to be at this table. And the community
has grown. We actually reach about a quarter of a

(33:48):
million people.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Right now, I'm talking to Cassandra Cummings, she's the founder
of Stocks and Stilettos. Stay, sy, what's your question?

Speaker 13 (33:54):
How did you get that many black women to invest
in stocks when you consider sixty percent of black women
in this country and not invested at all.

Speaker 14 (34:02):
I know, I was so shocked to see that statistic
sixty percent of black women are not investing in the
stock market, and I think it has to do with
creating a sort of sorority around money.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
And then I also feel like sometimes we feel that
we don't have the extra money to be able to invest.

Speaker 13 (34:20):
You don't need to be rich to invest as the
first stuff.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yeah, you don't have to be rich to invest.

Speaker 14 (34:26):
And I think inside of the community, what happens is
that you get that proximity to success. So you see
other women making strides. They're starting with two hundred dollars
and growing their accounts to twenty thousand dollars, and that's
inspiring other women to also know that they can do.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
It as well.

Speaker 14 (34:43):
And so I think the community itself, we just sort
of feed off each other because success leaves clues and
success is contagious. We're hitting all time highs with the
s and P five hundred, all time housed highs with
the Doal Jones. You definitely have to take some risk
because our money is just not going to work for
us if we put in a CD or put in
a savings account.

Speaker 13 (35:03):
A lot of people don't realize when they think about
the stock market, they think of risk the US stock market.
Over time, averaging out the ups and downs has averaged
about a nine percent return every year, and you just
can't beat that anywhere else. But where can people begin?

Speaker 14 (35:19):
I mean, you can begin with the mag seven. They're
magnificent seven, right, that's your Apples, your amazons in video
Netflix Meta, you know, So start with the max seven.
The Max seven alone returns seventy percent.

Speaker 13 (35:34):
Last year, my son turned me on to micro investing
because he had a little He asked me for my
debit card for acorns, okay, and I gave it to him.
And then a couple months later I looked and there's
one thousand dollars in this account, and I'm like, what
are you doing? Yeah, and he asked me on top
of that instead of allowances, well, in addition to allowances,
I should say, he adds like forty dollars a month

(35:54):
to it.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
Nice.

Speaker 13 (35:55):
Can you believe that account? I wanted to tell you
that is twenty eight thousand. It's an investing spare change,
so getting an app rounding up. There's so many ways
to participate in this market now.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
And he's just in college now, so that's great. It's
a wealth Wednesday. It's Financial Literacy Month and Cassandra Cummings,
the founder of Stocks and Stilettos, is here. So is
my Wealth Wednesday partner, Stacy Tisdale. And when we come back,
we'll have information on how you can also join Cassandra's
free seminars Spring into Stocks. It's a new initiative to
get more black people investing.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Its Way Up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. It's
a Wealth Wednesday. So Stacy Tisdale is here and we
have the founder of Stax and Stiletto Society, Cassandra Cummings here. Stacy,
what's your question.

Speaker 13 (36:49):
You have a free initiative for people called Spring into Stocks.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Yes, about about it. I'm excited.

Speaker 14 (36:55):
Spring into Stocks is our free spring stock market even
that we're doing. And so we're basically taking Spring and
we're breaking it down. Each letter stands for something, so
S is going to be for stock basics. We're going
to show you how to get into the market. P
is for passive income. We're gonna show you how the
stock market can help you make passive income. R is

(37:17):
for reads real estate investment trusts, how you can basically
have digital real estate. And then I is for index funds.
We're gonna go over index funds, and is for stocks
you need to own now. And then G is gonna
be for graphs and charts. How do you actually read charts?
What are some of this you know, mystical stuff that
you see on charts. We're gonna break that down for you.

(37:38):
So spring into stocks, no gate keeping here, and it's free.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
It's free.

Speaker 13 (37:42):
It's free, and all you have to do to get
it is follow Cassandra. We'll follow stocks and stilettos on Instagram.
But I really putting small amounts to work and dollar
something called dollar cost averaging, which means, no matter what
the market's doing, you put the same amount in like
once a month, I tay have an extra forty dollars
now to my bank account and just put into one
of these investment apps. That's how you really build wealth.

Speaker 14 (38:04):
And that's key to you know, putting it on autopilot,
because that way you don't have to think about it.
And if you can do that or if you know
you're in real estate, you get commission check. Just no
off the top, I'm putting ten percent over here in
this account. Just really creating those habits for yourself. You
talk about starting small, There are a lot of companies

(38:25):
that are going to be doing stock splitz. We just
had Walmart do a stock split. We recently had Tesla Apples.
So basically what happens is that they give you if
you have a share and they say it's going to
be a two for one split, you'll now have two shares,
but it will have the same value as that one
share had. So if you had a share that was

(38:46):
one hundred dollars and they're going to do a two
for one split, now you'll have two shares that are
worth fifty dollars.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
And so we have Chipotle.

Speaker 14 (38:55):
Believe it or not, Chipotle, it's a three thousand dollars
a share stock and it's about to do a fifty
to one split. If you do the math, it's going
to be about sixty dollars. I think right a fifty
to one split.

Speaker 13 (39:08):
Chipotle at sixty dollars is a buye.

Speaker 14 (39:11):
It's a huge buy and so you have to pay
attention to these types of things. We talk about these
things in our community. Redd it just went public, right,
so we talk about companies that go public. Should we
get in? What price should we get in? So all
of these conversations are taking place inside of the community.

Speaker 13 (39:27):
Do I have to know how to invest to become
a member of the Stocks and Stilettos society?

Speaker 6 (39:31):
You don't.

Speaker 14 (39:32):
We start with where you are. So we have women
who have never bought stock to women who have seven
figure portfolios.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
So we really sort of you know, it's like a
Montessori school.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
Yeah, everybody.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
On different levels.

Speaker 4 (39:46):
Right.

Speaker 13 (39:46):
How do people join?

Speaker 14 (39:48):
So they can join the Facebook group by going to
bit dot lead Stocks and Stilettos. And if you're not
able to join inside the group, you can follow us
on Facebook. That's open to everybody.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Okay, one l two teas. Yeah, about Cassandra and mentorship
is so important and community is so important. So I
appreciate what you've been doing. Thank you. I appreciate that
you can watch that full interview on my YouTube channel
Way up with Ye And when we come back, of course,
y'all get the last word, pack up.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
The phone to get your voice heard. What the word?
He is the last word on Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 8 (40:24):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (40:25):
What's up? His Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yee?

Speaker 3 (40:26):
I'm Angela yee. May now, yeah, you can eat in
like five hours.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
And I'm gonna be all right.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
You're gonna be all right.

Speaker 5 (40:33):
You gotta be a.

Speaker 11 (40:33):
Better friend to me though I am my good friend.
You got you gotta encourage me to do right I
have been. You've been over here telling me you need
to get off of that Ramadan because.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
You not really want.

Speaker 5 (40:45):
All of them the rules. Why you say that though?

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Are you having sex?

Speaker 5 (40:49):
Who said that?

Speaker 4 (40:50):
I am?

Speaker 5 (40:51):
Are you who said that?

Speaker 3 (40:52):
It's not an answer it is I'm not one of
your little girlfriends. Okay, you're not gonna trick me. This
is wow, all right, but anyway, you're gonna eat after
seven right closer to eighth. All right, well again, it
is a wealth Wednesday. So thank you to Cassandra Cummings
for joining us. You can watch that full interview on
my YouTube channel Way Up with Ye. A lot of

(41:13):
things happen today later in the show, so make sure
y'all keep on following us. And of course this is
your show, so you have the last word.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Got a month ago and say with my fiance mother.

Speaker 15 (41:25):
So last night she came over for dinner.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
She told us that she prayed.

Speaker 15 (41:31):
Man, Yo, I want to shine a light on ban
you come from where you come from, Visit what you've ensit.
You won ten your kids rady Yo, you're having your motion.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
You have way out here.

Speaker 15 (41:44):
Man. A lot of people don't get to tell this
story like you. I hope that God sues to bless you. Astelo.
You got your best big day show popping. It's real,
it's authentic.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
