was the second draft pick overall in the WNBA two
thousand and two draft, so shout out to her. But
she has joined the New Orleans Pelicans as vice president
of basketball Operations, and team development, and so congratulations to
her for that. Right she six years since that appointment,

she's been promoted to senior vice president of basketball operations
and is now one of the highest ranking women in
an NBA front office, and so such a big deal.

Paris Hilton yesterday spoke during a congressional hearing about the
state of child welfare in the United States. She talked
about her own experiences of abuse when she was put
into one of these youth care facilities.

And here's what she had to say.

When I was sixteen years old, I was ripped from
my bed in the middle of the night and transported
across state lines to the first of four youth residential
treatment facilities. These programs promised healing, growth and support, but
instead did not allow me to speak, move freely, or
even look out a window. For two years, I was
force fed medications and sexually abused by the staff. I

was violently restrained, strip naked and thrown into solitary confinement.

She said a lot of the kids aren't believed because
these places tell the parents they are being lied to
and manipulated because they want to go home. So they
were lying to her parents, and she said they were
completely deceived by the school, as many other parents are.
And she also called out private equity firms who have
a large stake in this industry and said they placed
profit over the safety of the children. You know, it's
a twenty three billion dollar industry. So she wants her

testimony to convince Congress to reinstate federal fund designed to
help child welfare programs and to also pass the Stop
Institution Child's Abuse Act. All right, Bronnie James, you know
the NBA draft was at the Barclays yesterday day one,
and you know day two is today, and people were
trying to figure out when he would get drafted. Some
people were thinking maybe it's going to happen earlier. Some

people are feeling like it's going to happen tonight. Some
people feel like he may not get drafted at all.
But he did go undrafted in the first round. And
here is what he had to say. Because people are
speculating that, you know, Lebron wants to play with his
son at some point before he retires, so they feel
like that could give him an edge as far as

She says that he purchased a home in La Back
in August of twenty twenty two. Drea and her kids
moved into the home. She said she entered into a
verbal agreement with him that she could buy it from
him and that everything that she made, any contributions to

a written contract. They were still dating at the time.
She offered him two point eight million for the place.

He said three point two million. This was in January.
She accepted that, and she paid nearly three hundred thousand,
you know, towards the house, and she thought it would
go to the price that she agreed to pay.

slamming her because she did a recent podcast interview where
she talked about him and basically thinks that Jeffrey Dahmer

is fascinating even though he dismembered seventeen men over a
thirteen year period. I ate them, yeah, and that was
her dream dinner guest. Here's what she said.

What I was infatuated with serial killers when I was younger,
Q and A with fans with young fans, but I
were with a parent. Someone said, if you could have
dinner with anyone living or then, who would it be?
And I was like, Mom and dad, is it okay

been Jeffrey Dahmer's pretty fascinating.

sit well with the loved ones of Tony Hughes, who
was a deaf, non verbal victim that Jeffrey Dahmer killed

and she said that confession made her emotional. And people

It's just who I am emotionally, It's who I am
as a person. I am all over the place. I
am chaotic. I do have a bunch of different emotions
going on. I have highs and lows and ups and downs.
And it was important for me to just stand in
that and embrace that. And also, to me, this was
my pivotal moment where I got to show like you
couldn't put me in a box musically and I feel
like I just kept getting people wanting me to make

two albums ago again or my first mixtape again and
just be stuck in this like same sonic, you know situation.
But if I wanted to be able to grow as
an artist, I had to make something that was polarizing
and some people really hate it and some people really
love it, And I think that's exactly what I wanted
to accomplid.

Yeah, and they may not like everything, but I'm excited

get a hug and like, you know, separate the boundaries
between that.

being open and honest about the journey with motherhood, it's
just I think people need to understand that motherhood looks
different first in so many ways for so many different people,
and we're breaking so many molds of like hundreds of
years of like what motherhood is supposed to be. And

it's just been cool to see like young moms come
up to me with their kids at like meet and
greets or signings and be like, you know, this made
me feel like I could still go to work. I could,
I could pursue my dreams. I could do music, I
can be an artist, and I could be a kick
ass mom.

So right, and I have a six pack and a
six pack yeah and go to the gym.

Now, what do you listen to like when Kaylani's and
the gym working out. Is there a different playlist than
when you're in the car drive and then when you're

I say this to be that I'm a pisce, He's moon.
I'm really delusional. But I listened to a lot of
classical in the gym wow, because it really makes you
like zone out. And something about the really turned like
HU makes me a little like anxious, plus the pre workout,
so I have to find like a balance of something
that makes everything really cinematic. So I listened to a

I listened to a lot of Boston Nova. I listened
to a lot of Spanish music. I listened to rock.

state of child welfare in the United States. She talked
about her own experiences of abuse when she was put
into one of these youth care facilities.

And here's what she had to say.

When I was sixteen years old, I was ripped from
my bed in the middle of the night and transported
across state lines to the first of four youth residential
treatment facilities. These programs promised healing, growth and support, but
instead did not allow me to speak, move freely, or
even look out a window. For two years, I was
force fed medications and sexually abused by the staff. I

was violently restrained, strip naked and thrown into solitary confinement.

She said a lot of the kids aren't believed because
these places tell the parents they are being lied to
and manipulated because they want to go home. So they
were lying to her parents, and she said they were
completely deceived by the school, as many other parents are.
And she also called out private equity firms who have
a large stake in this industry and said they placed
profit over the safety of the children. You know, it's
a twenty three billion dollar industry. So she wants her

testimony to convince Congress to reinstate federal fund designed to
help child welfare programs and to also pass the Stop
Institution Child's Abuse Act. All right, Bronnie James, you know
the NBA draft was at the Barclays yesterday day one,
and you know day two is today, and people were
trying to figure out when he would get drafted. Some
people were thinking maybe it's going to happen earlier. Some

people are feeling like it's going to happen tonight. Some
people feel like he may not get drafted at all.
But he did go undrafted in the first round. And
here is what he had to say. Because people are
speculating that, you know, Lebron wants to play with his
son at some point before he retires, so they feel

moved into the home. She said she entered into a
verbal agreement with him that she could buy it from
him and that everything that she made, any contributions to
the mortgage, would go toward that. But they never had
a written contract. They were still dating at the time.
She offered him two point eight million for the place.

He said three point two million. This was in January.
She accepted that, and she paid nearly three hundred thousand,
you know, towards the house, and she thought it would
go to the price that she agreed to pay.

Now he's saying that he will not sell her the
property and that she has to get out. Oh wow,
so she's suing.

and maybe he was gonna, you know, she want to
have a place there.

You got to have a verb, You got to have
a real agreement.

When it comes to real estate.

I would definitely say get a written agreement, okay at
some point, because I don't know if the verbal agreements
can hold up in court. We'll see how this happens,
all right now. Ariana Grande, Jeffrey Dahmer's victim's family is
slamming her because she did a recent podcast interview where
she talked about him and basically thinks that Jeffrey Dahmer
(24:35):
is fascinating even though he dismembered seventeen men over a
thirteen year period. I ate them, yeah, and that was
her dream dinner guest. Here's what she said.
Speaker 13 (24:45):
What I was infatuated with serial killers when I was younger,
Q and A with fans with young fans, but I
were with a parent. Someone said, if you could have
dinner with anyone living or then, who would it be?
And I was like, Mom and dad, is it okay
if I give the real answer? And they were like sure,
I guess what's the answer. And I was like, I've
been Jeffrey Dahmer's pretty fascinating.

So they believe that she is sick in her mind
and your family that, yeah, well, the revelation does not
sit well with the loved ones of Tony Hughes, who
was a deaf, non verbal victim that Jeffrey Dahmer killed
back in nineteen ninety one. His mother told TMZ that
she hopes it Ariana understands how hurtful her comments are,
and she said that confession made her emotional. And people

did have an issue when that that document, when the Yes,
when that show came out the Netflix series, they were like,
you're glamorizing him because people were acting like he was
like amazing. Yeah, all right, And lastly, let's talk about
Meghan the Stallion. You know, her album is coming out tomorrow,
but there's been some issues with clearances. She's been really

excited about this anime sample that she had, but Unfortunately,
it looks like they're asking her to change the sample.

And it's called Crash, and I know there has to
be a reason for it because it feels like a
lot of things a lot on here.

It's just who I am emotionally, It's who I am
as a person. I am all over the place. I
am chaotic. I do have a bunch of different emotions
going on. I have highs and lows and ups and downs.
And it was important for me to just stand in
that and embrace that. And also, to me, this was
my pivotal moment where I got to show like you
couldn't put me in a box musically and I feel
like I just kept getting people wanting me to make

two albums ago again or my first mixtape again and
just be stuck in this like same sonic, you know situation.
But if I wanted to be able to grow as
an artist, I had to make something that was polarizing
and some people really hate it and some people really
love it, And I think that's exactly what I wanted
to accomplid.

Some people would say I like certain songs on here.
Speaker 12 (31:27):
Yeah, and they may not like everything, but I'm excited
to see how tour is gonna go.

and so I think that was nice for you. The
other thing that we can put in a box with
you is I don't know if you want to be committed,

to say do your thing and I do mine.

I have no idea, Like when it comes to that,

always challenging, like how better I can show up in

to do anything. I'm not like trying to be a
stage mom, like I don't you know, I want her
to do what she wants to do. And she was
singing and I was like, you know, if you want
to go singing, you can sing in At first she
was shy and then she went in there and she

smacked it and that was the first take, Like she
only did one take and that.

Sings better than me. I'll tell you that you sing
better than me.

I'm not gonna hold you like it's crazy. And your
daughter's executive producer on the album.

She executive produced every album since she and she's been born.

She gonna be paid for life, I absolutely hope.

we went to the aquarium the other day and we
walked past people and they were like, oh my god, Kaylanie,
and she was like, I thought, you don't talk to strangers.
She was like, why do those people know your name?
Like I was like, they like my music and she
was like, then why did you talk back? If I
can't talk to strangers. And sometimes that is really hard
to navigate because you're like a great question, Dang, what
do I say? Because I also have to tell her

people know your name and people might say hi to you,
and people might say hey, Ida, come here, Can I
get a hug and like, you know, separate the boundaries
between that.

So that's always like.

You know, right now, Kaylanie's here with me. Her album
Crash is available right now. I remember you said you've
always known that you wanted to be a mom.
Speaker 12 (35:54):
Yeah, she is more than I could have ever expected
in any kind of way. And I got exactly what
I dreamed about and more. But as far as like
being open and honest about the journey with motherhood, it's
just I think people need to understand that motherhood looks
different first in so many ways for so many different people,
and we're breaking so many molds of like hundreds of
years of like what motherhood is supposed to be. And
(36:17):
it's just been cool to see like young moms come
up to me with their kids at like meet and
greets or signings and be like, you know, this made
me feel like I could still go to work. I could,
I could pursue my dreams. I could do music, I
can be an artist, and I could be a kick
ass mom.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
So right, and I have a six pack and a
six pack yeah and go to the gym.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Now, what do you listen to like when Kaylani's and
the gym working out. Is there a different playlist than
when you're in the car drive and then when you're
going surfing.
Speaker 12 (36:43):
Then I promise I don't say this would be cool.
I say this to be that I'm a pisce, He's moon.
I'm really delusional. But I listened to a lot of
classical in the gym wow, because it really makes you
like zone out. And something about the really turned like
HU makes me a little like anxious, plus the pre workout,
so I have to find like a balance of something
that makes everything really cinematic. So I listened to a

lot of like classical. I listened to a lot of jazz.
I listened to a lot of Boston Nova. I listened
to a lot of Spanish music. I listened to rock.
I listen to a lot of like whatever genre we
consider like attainment, Paula.

I listened to rabbitlus to R and B. I don't
know I like music.

I was.

I was in a band for six years in my life,
so I'm very instrument led versus like words or vocals.
