I'm Angela yee and my guy beat out his hair.
I'm here, you here, the champ is here, Angela Yes,
happy money. What an active weekend. We have so much
to talk about today. I definitely am going to have
Roland Martin call in to discuss his whole Trump assassination
attempts and the aftermath from all of that. And so

(00:38):
many people have so many things to say, so it
would be interesting. I would love to hear what you
think about and we'll talk about it with Roland. What
do you think this is gonna mean when it comes
to these upcoming elections. But let's start the show off
on some positivity and then we'll get into everything else.
I mean, I was in Philly over the weekend. I
actually I did not, but I did go to the

(00:58):
fights were I go. So I'll discuss that. But in
the meantime, let's spread some love, some positivity. Let's shine
a light. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty

She's from where you're from, Nicki Minaj your love.

to those who are doing greatness.

All right? Relaxed. Now, let's spread some love. Let's spread
some positivity.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
I want to shine a light on mother and entrepreneur
Jasmine Phoenix, She along with her family, launched this nail
polish line. It's called Serenity Nail Polace, all right, and
it's one of the fastest growing lines of vegan, non toxic,
child safe and polish products.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Wow, all right, Dwayne Wade Holler ad her.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
So it's important just because her desire for a new
nail polish was sparked. Sparked the idea for this business
because she would spend a lot of time with her
daughter at home during the pandemic and enjoying activities like
painting her nails. But a lot of times we don't
know what's in these products, right, So you want to
make sure you have something that is that is safe
for children to use, because you don't know how to
affect them later. Uh so, Yeah, Dwayne Wade holler at

(02:26):
it because he's actually starting his own line of nail
care products and he similarly with his daughter, would be.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Getting their nails done.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And not only did she launch her line of Began
nail polish, she also made her four year old daughter
the co CEO damn. So that's how you teach some
kids earth old know, it's doing bigger things than both
me and you. All Right, who do you guys want
to spread some love to? Eight hundred two nine to
fifty one fifty brandy? Who do you want to shine
a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:53):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
My wife? Okay, what's her name? And tell us why?
I'm well named Sierra and just it's because she's.

Speaker 7 (03:01):
So supportive, she knows above and beyond, and she really
holds me down and I truly appreciate her.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Oh that's sweet you decided to call up here today
for your girl.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
See era, how long you've been together?

Speaker 7 (03:12):
Well, we've been together for going on nine years, but
known each other.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
For over twenty.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
And who proposed to who she's proposed to me. All right, well,
shout out to you guys. We love love, thank you,
all right, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
All right.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Well that was Shining Light eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
And when we come back, who beat outs?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Here ey tea time we'll talk about Megan Good and
this viral clip with Michael Illy and Jonathan Majors will
tell you what she had to say about it, because
y'all really be messy. It's way up, they say in
the rooms.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
From industry shade to all of gosp out. Send Angela's
feeling that et talk.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
It's way up. I'm angela yee beat out.

Speaker 8 (03:55):
His here one its beat out.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I'm way up too ready for some yeete.

Speaker 8 (03:58):
Let's get into it, all right.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
So there was this clip that went viral, okay, and
it was Meghan Good. Michael Ealy was there, Jonathan Majors
was there, and so in this clip that was originally
posted on this account niccast Media, Michael Illy gives Meghan
Good a hug, but not just gives her a hug,
but lifts her off the ground and then also grat uh.
He also greets d smoking his wife and then it

(04:19):
looks like he ignores Jonathan Major's. Right, But what they
don't show originally in the clip is in the very beginning,
Jonathan Major's is actually the first person that Michael Iily greets.
But people were, you know, letting this clip go viral.
It looked like he just ignored Jonathan Major's and they
all took a picture together. Well, Meghan Good insisted that.
She said, we're just gonna edit out the first part

(04:40):
of the video where Jonathan and Michael exchange a big
hug first and then speak life over each other before
he gives me a big brother hug.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
She said, Eloa.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Sma's super unfortunate how people don't have anything better to
do than project on others and intentionally perpetuate negative, misguided
commentary on life snippets. They have no real contexts. It's sad.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
Yeah, usually the I would call that a dirty MAC move,
but we didn't see what happened before, so.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
We did see though there is a clip, right, it's
just how this was edited.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
It could tend to look like that.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Now.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Let's just say you were out somewhere and you know,
a man greets your wife that way and picks her
up and spins her around.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Is that too much?

Speaker 8 (05:19):
It might be a little bit, a little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
He's just standing there looking dumb like, well, you know what.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
When we had Corey Harjake on here to talk about
Divorce in the Black, there was a media takeout headline
that Jonathan Major's was jealous of their chemistry on set,
and here's what he had to say.

Speaker 9 (05:35):
Jonathan came to me after wrap party. He said, man,
you you really grounded this family. He said, you are
so real and raw. He should say, man, you are amazing.
I gave him this flow. You amazing too. Don't let
nothing stop you, man, I said, you a cold boy.
Just get back in, Just get back in it.

Speaker 8 (05:51):
You ain't real corredit.

Speaker 10 (05:54):
Do.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah. So there you have it, all these different headlines. Yea,
all right. Now, speaking of that movie, have you watched
it yet? Divorce in the Black?

Speaker 8 (06:03):
I haven't heard about it.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Shut up anyway, That movie has gotten While it does
have good ratings with the viewers at a fifty four percent, okay,
it has a zero percent Tomato meter. That's the Rotten
Tomatoes where they have professional reviews that are submitted and
all ten of them, I guess gave.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
It a zero.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
But I will say that's why we need our own
places because I think sometimes if you look at how
movies are reviewed on these I want say, white platforms,
but they don't have the same kind of kind of
rating skill. Yeah, sometimes movies don't do well on rotten
Tomatoes and it'll make discourage from watching it. And then
you watch and you're like, that was good. Why did

(06:45):
that get a zero? So the people still like it?

Speaker 8 (06:47):
Zero tomatoes?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Damn zero tomatoes, a zero tomato meter? All right? Now,
shout out to Boujiu Bontan.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Yeah, he had two sold out shows in New York
and now he's going to do his first ever head
lining US tour.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
That's awesome, man, after all the drama.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I know a lot of people up here were trying
to go, but it was definitely sold out.

Speaker 8 (07:07):
Like the Labor Day parade, Oh yes, I'm.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Excited for that.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Angela You Day is the day before the parade. It's
gonna be on September first?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Is that? Am I allowed to say that?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Okay, we'll do a real announcement later. All right, Well,
when we come back, we have about last night. That's
where we discussed what we did. I guess over the weekend,
we'll talk about that. I told you I was in Philly.
I'll break down what happened when I went to this
fight at the Wells Fargo Arena. And here's some now,
miss Independent, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
So about last night. Yes, I went down night last night.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
All right, his way up? I'm here beat out here, Yes,
I am beat out.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
What'd you do over the weekend?

Speaker 6 (07:45):
I went to the movies to see a quiet place
and I was ripping and running and also called Nigel Sylvester.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
He had his Oh you went to go?

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Yeah, well I had rode the bike, but I was
there watching his bike meet up in Soho.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
So that's amazing. So he made it from London. Yeah,
so did you get the sneakers?

Speaker 8 (08:02):
I didn't get the sneakers yet, Nigel. I sent them
a text and it went green.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
So yeah, he said, it's too many people asking right now.
But he's from Queens. You're from Queens. You could watch
that interview too on my YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Way up with me? All right?

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Well, I went to Philly and I went to the
fight at Wells Fargo, and so I went to go
see Jeron Boots Ennis versus I can't even say this
guy's a.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I can't even say it. Avenisian.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
That's how you say it, Avenue, And I mean he
definitely pummeled him.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Boots won that fight. They actually had to stop it
in the fifth round.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
People were saying online that he broke his jaw because
he knocked him out.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
But I will say this, Avenisian.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
When he was fighting, he had his hands in front
of his face and he was protecting his body the
whole time.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
You could tell he was just in defense mode, trying
to hang in there.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
And I will say, you know, kudos to him for
going to Philly, where Boots is from, to have this
fight at Wells Fargo, knowing that you are definitely definitely
in Philly. Everybody was going crazy for Boots, so you know,
shout out to him for that performance. Now, he posted
after the fight, thanking God for another one. I couldn't
have done it without him. I had a lot of
fun last night. It felt great being back in the

(09:13):
ring after a year layoff. Glad I was able to
knock that rust off. I can't wait to get right
back in there. I know I wasn't my sharpest, but
next fight, I promise I'm gonna be on point, because
even after the fight, he was saying that he felt
rusty and it didn't feel right, and he said he
watched his fight. It was an okay performance, is what
he had to say as far as raiding himself.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
And then I saw.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Shakr Stevenson and Andre Berto going back and forth with
each other on social media.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
All these boxes is.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
Beefing boxing beef man.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Because Schaquur was like, I'm going start teaching these giving
them some tips and some pointers, and he tried to
tell Berto what he needs to do to be a
better boxer.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
What is going on?

Speaker 8 (09:49):
He got his own problems right now too.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Yeah, he's mad at everybody, but he was at the
fight right also. All right, Well that was about last night,
and I actually went out Philly too. I went to
a couple of clubs. I went to Playhouse. I got
a chance to try a new don Julio to kill.
It has like a taste of honey in it or
something like that.

Speaker 8 (10:09):
Did you bring back any oils?

Speaker 3 (10:10):
I did not bring back any oils. Now, let's get
ready for this segment. It's called tell us a secret, Beta.
I know you got some secrets.

Speaker 8 (10:19):
I got no secrets.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Yeah, that's what a man with secrets would say, but
we want to hear yours. You get to remain anonymous.
It's a no judgment zone, so again, we're not going
to judge you based off of whatever secret that you
have to tell us. Eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty is a number. Call us up, share with us,
put it out in the atmosphere. Tell us a secret,
and trust me, there's people who have way worse secrets
than you out there, so it's no judgment in our part.

(10:42):
That's eight hundred two nine six fifty one. What's the number,
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. I'm a
little rusty. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
Way, This is a judgment free zone.

Speaker 8 (10:57):
Tell us a.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Secret, all right, it's way up. Angela, yee, I'm here,
beat out here, beat out whispering too. That's right because
it's secret time.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Just to remember you're telling us a secret. It does
not leave this station except on the airwaves. Eight hundred
two nine fifty fifty, no judgment, anonymous, carlor, what's your secret?

Speaker 7 (11:16):
I ended up having back with my one my homeboys,
baby Marvels, And I don't know what to do. I
don't know if I should say something someone or if
I should just keep the secret.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
How did that end up?

Speaker 7 (11:26):
Your girlfriend ended up calling me and she started flirting
with me and stuff, and I ended up bringing it
up to her. I was like, you know, I'm Fred,
you know your boyfriend and you know this, and then
we ended up getting drunk like two nights ago, and
you just ended up happening.

Speaker 8 (11:41):
How long do you guys go friends for?

Speaker 7 (11:43):
We've been friends for about a year and a half.
A year and a half.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Well, you know, and this does feel premeditated because she
called up, started flirting with you. Then y'all made plans
and y'all got drunk together purposefully and then hung out.

Speaker 11 (11:59):
Right, Yeah, you know, I say something to someone? Should
I just keep it to myself?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
I don't know, Well, what's going on now with the
two of you, because it wasn't that long ago that
this happened. Are y'all still in communication you and her?

Speaker 8 (12:10):
No?

Speaker 11 (12:11):
Not really No, I kind of cut it off. I
kind of felt bad after words, so I didn't really
look forward with it.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Oh, at this point, would you tell.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
Man, cut it off though, I don't know you and
him still friends though, right for now we are.

Speaker 7 (12:26):
But it's more or less all acquaintance acquaintances.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Now.

Speaker 7 (12:29):
I haven't really been.

Speaker 11 (12:30):
Talking to him much ever since the.

Speaker 12 (12:34):
Yeah, I kind of do, I kind of do.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I don't know that I would tell him. All that
would do is relieve your guilt and make him feel awful.
And maybe that is not really your friend, because you
can't keep a secret like that from your friend. You maybe,
and that's not even been your friend for a long time.
Clearly you don't respect him.

Speaker 8 (12:50):
It's still a bro code violation though.

Speaker 13 (12:52):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Sure if she caused you and wants to get down again,
are you going to do it? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Okay, right, thank you for calling and share your secret.
Good one, we've been live fast enough.

Speaker 8 (13:06):
You keep that to himself.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Man, damn Haying Adams color. How are you good?

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Good?

Speaker 8 (13:11):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
I'm good? Meet and be that are excited to hear
your secret.

Speaker 8 (13:16):
I was hanging out with my homeboy.

Speaker 14 (13:18):
We had just west of the casino. We we hit
big congrats nice back to the hotel. We celebrated and
had a couple of drinks and now and I got
too greedy. I stole from my front.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
I regret it.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
How did you manage? How did you manage to do that?

Speaker 8 (13:38):
It was just laying there and I don't know. I
guess he's like to have so much money.

Speaker 14 (13:42):
He didn't even realize.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
I just took a couple of hundreds.

Speaker 8 (13:44):
And I said, damn.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
So he didn't realize you stole from him?

Speaker 8 (13:48):
Nah? How long you been friends?

Speaker 5 (13:51):
For eight years?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Would you give it back to him? Or what? How
do you move forward? You just forget about it and
move on. You're gonna tell him, like, what do you
want to do?

Speaker 8 (14:00):
I'll probably just end up paying him back. This was
reached that pibly a month. Wow, did you what did
you spend the money on?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
So I went to the street this guy?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
All right, Well thanks for sharing and listen. I'm glad
that you at least have a guilty conscience about it.
It shows you're you're a good person. All right, yess,
we we like that. I wonder if you should tell
him he didn't even notice though.

Speaker 14 (14:24):
Yeah, I think he's gonna listen to this.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
All right, So this is let this service your confession.

Speaker 8 (14:30):
Yeah, do you think you guys will still be friends after.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
I hope.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
So all right, well, thank you for calling.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
That wasn't no judgment, grown, thank you for having us.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
All right, give you a friend, give him back the
four hundred dollars. Let him give you back the four
hundred dollars. Notice, and don't leave nothing around him ever again.
All right, Well that was tell us a secret eight
hundred two nine fifty one fifty in case you couldn't
get through, and we got some yet. When we come back,
you ready to be that I'm ready. We'll be talking
about August Alcina and he is mind boggled by all

(15:02):
of the noise and hate over how he chooses to love.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
We'll talk about it.

Speaker 8 (15:06):
What beat us sounds entangled?

Speaker 4 (15:07):
All right, Well the show, she's about to blow the
lid off this fot. Let's get it, oh Angelus feeling that.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Yee tea, Come and get the tea?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
All right? His way up, I'm here, Beat outs here.

Speaker 8 (15:17):
Well it's beat I'm here.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Let's get into some yete.

Speaker 12 (15:20):
Now.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
First, let's start it off with our guy, August Alcina.
August Now, he was on Nick Cannon's show Counsel Culture,
and you know he posted a few of those clips
and he said love is I love to hear from
you your perception of love and how it has been
reflected back to you below. It's weird for me because
when I think about all the public adversity around the
name August, it solely has been spewed simply from the

(15:41):
way I love. To think that the simple arts of
one's own authentic love can breed so much noise and
hate simply because it doesn't align with the minds of
others was mind boggling to me for quite some time.
And then he goes on to say, maybe because love
is truth, I will say he looks happier now than
he ever has.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I'll give that to him.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
And so he posted some of the clips from Council
cald and here's one of them.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
Love is discovered.

Speaker 10 (16:03):
People try to put a finite definition on something that's
actually infinite. So you constantly are discovering something new about
love through your own experience, whether it's you experiencing a friend,
experience in a romantic relationship, something with your kids.

Speaker 8 (16:20):
It's something that's forever unfolding. It sounds like a word, solad.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
You know what I think, because you know I did
that sit down with August and having conversations with him.
I think it was a burden for him to not
be honest and truthful about everything that was happening in
his life. That's why we did that interview just kind
of he had a lot of issues of being blackballed
and things like that.

Speaker 8 (16:42):
So now who's he with? Like, what's.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
So when he did Surreal Life?

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Okay, right, you see, he welcomed his love with open arms.
It's a fellow artist named Zoo and they have never
confirmed directly that they're an item, but they're very close.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
They post each other all the time.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
He calls him my little yeah, posted them, you know,
a different events.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
So it is what it is.

Speaker 8 (17:09):
So he went from WO to Zoo.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Oh stop it what that was awful? That was awful.
WO was a good movie, all right? Now, this is interesting.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Cameron and Mace, you know, they've been going back and
forth over this Chakor Stephenson situation. They had said that
he was a boring fighter. Chakor fired back at them,
started talking about their music career, and Jay Prince then
stepped into the scene. I said, to all of you
haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the
ring I'm Chakor's manager, and I handle all his business

(17:41):
outside of the ring. In other words, Cam and Mace,
I will fade all his shots and take all bets.
And he went on to say that it was the
most watched fight. But Cameron and Mace then posted a
video of Bob Aram, who's Chaquare Stevens's promoter, admitting that
the defensive style that he has is not a check fans,
and they wrote in the caption the fight was free now.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
So yeah, numbers do lie sometimes.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
And here is what Cameron and Mace had to say
to address this on their show.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
It is what it is.

Speaker 15 (18:07):
We're not your little like. We don't even respect big homies.
I know killer doesn't end for me. I never respect
it in the streets. That's why I always got the
problems I got. I want to respect you, but I can't.

Speaker 8 (18:22):
I lost mal of respect for you because I used
to have male respect. You You bogging James, You bogging money, damn.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
And they went on and on about this whole like
it's not nineteen eighty four to eight yeah anymore.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
I mean, I don't think your courses fights are sporing.
I think a lot of people prefer knockouts when they're
watching you know, boxing.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Matches like I think technical fighters because Floyd Mayweather used
to have the same issue. People would be like, it's
not exciting. They want to see like a flurry of punches.
They want to see you put your hand, you know,
they want to see that in a boxing match, and
sometimes that's not what it is. But I also understand
the marketing of people being like, well, the way he fights,
it's very technical. It's not going to be, you know,
a hard punch to knock somebody out, so people want

(19:03):
to see that.

Speaker 6 (19:03):
People I think they're like offensive fighters. Offensive fighters put
butts in seats.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
So all right, well that is your yete. When we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily and the headlines. They're flying
under the radar. We are going to talk about Donald
Trump later though. We're going to have Roland Martin call in.
Today is how could we not? But when we come back,
we'll talk about pebbling when it comes to relationships.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
You know what that is. He's going to find out.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
It's way up newsition in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
All right, it's way up. I'm here, beat out here. Yeah,
it is beat up under the radar. You know, I
love this segment because people don't get to talk about
these stories.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Pebbling. Do you know what pebbling is when it comes
to dating?

Speaker 8 (19:43):
That sounds like something from the Flintstones pebbling? I have
no idea.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
All right, Well, a psychologist explains what pebbling actually is,
and it's a way that you can build a deep
connection and it's kind of He explains it in terms
of penguins and how they live together in harmony, and
they also do credibly romantic things. And what they do
is they present a pebble to smooth, this most perfect
pebble to their desired mate as a token of affection,

(20:09):
and then if she accepts, the pebble becomes a foundation
of their nests and it symbolizes the beginning of their
life together. Well, what do we consider pebbling as humans?
It's like when you send your girl a bunch of
different Instagram stories and you dmm.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Or she does it to you.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Those are just like little small things where you're sending
means little links and videos to each other. They said,
that's not trivial. It signals that you're thinking of them
and want them to share your joy. And that is
known as pebbling based on penguins gifting pebbles to potential partners.
So every little thing, all of the little small acts,
that's called pebbling.

Speaker 8 (20:41):
What if I give you a rock.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Is it smooth? Is it the smoothest rock?

Speaker 3 (20:46):
But gift giving handwritten notes? You know how nice it
is when somebody leaves you a handwritten note because no
one does it anymore.

Speaker 8 (20:51):
My hand writing sucks.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
That's even better because and it shows he really cares
and he feels vulnerable enough and definitely performing acts of
service is another way that humans engage in pebbling, And
you demonstrate a deconcern for the other person's welfare, desire
to enhance their well being without expecting anything in return.
So get your pebbling on. Now, we're getting ready to

(21:14):
talk about this Donald Trump situation with Roland Martin. He's
going to be calling in and we'll be able to
I love how Roland Martin is able to express everything
factually because I see a lot of people posting memes,
posting things. Donald Trump has done his first interview since
the assassination attempt. At that rally, he said that he
is supposed to be dead. And you know, there's been

(21:37):
a lot of misinformation. There's been a lot of slowed
down video footage. Some people said he didn't even get
shot or grazed. They said it was the teleprompter, but
then they posted a video. Some people felt like the
whole thing was a hoax, a hoax, but you know.

Speaker 8 (21:56):
At the end of the day, someone died something.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, and that's something that we cannot discount.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
But a lot of people also talk about Trump and
how he's reacted when bad things have happened, when Nancy
Pelosi's husband was attacked, and how he made jokes about
it and acted like it was comedy.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
So there's a lot of different conspiracy theories.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
There's a lot of things on social media that are
a thing spewing falsehoods, and we need to make sure
that we get right to the base of it. So
Roland Martin's going to be calling in, and we also
have the way up mixed at the top of the hour.
It's a Monday, so we want to make sure that
you know we're doing everything that we need to do.
I saw Kodak Black going at plies because Pliz was
posting a lot of things about Donald Trump, as he

(22:35):
always has and always does. But you know, Kodak has
this affinity toward Donald Trump because he got his presidential pardon, right,
and so that is his own personal reason. But listen
and Pliz has his issues with Trump, so you can't
be mad that he don't like your guy. All right, Well, anyway,
way up, mixed at the top of the hour. Roland
Martin's going to be joining us later.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
It's way up. She's like to talk like they.

Speaker 12 (22:55):
And Jelie Jane like they and Julie Jane.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is way.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Off, all right, It's way up. Angela Yee beat out
us here. Let's get into this yet. So day Free
did an interview and you know that's Kenjack Lamar's partner.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
In PG lane Are You Free? And he did this
interview with Elephant.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
It went live on Thursday, and he talked about the
vision of their creative agency, him and Kadok. He said,
we wanted to read artists like their startups. We want
them to take ownership of their brand, which is really
taking ownership of themselves. You always hear people talking about
all these elements of the business that they don't like,
but it's not like there are a lot of active
participants putting their money where their mouth is. We were like,
let's not talk about what we want to see from

(23:36):
the industry, let's just do it.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
He said that he and Kenjick dreamed something up.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
The idea could also come from staff members, and we'll
come into the office figure out how to create a
system around the idea and make itself sufficient. We make
sure it's going to be impactful, influential, financially stable, it's
going to shake people up, and it's going to tell
a story. And when it's developed, we ask does it
move you?

Speaker 8 (23:55):
Okay a lot?

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Yeah, I kind of quiet behind the scenes when it
comes to handling business.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
So yes, he is.

Speaker 8 (24:03):
I was a real conversation, and you.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Know, people were trying to speculate that they were issues
between the two. I don't even know how Drake got
that rumor about Dave free and right, but you know,
clearly not true.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Clearly if you saw the video, that did not look
like the family looks like they're intact, all right.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Angel Reese talked about people sliding in her d MS
guys wanting to come to some games, they're gonna they're
gonna get flud out.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Here's what you had to say.

Speaker 8 (24:31):
The delusion that y'all think, I'm y'all.

Speaker 5 (24:33):
Out b for real.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
Besides, WA players make like minimum wage.

Speaker 8 (24:41):
I don't think I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Sorry, Yeah, first of all, they don't don't even play
the whole season. Though, you know what I'm saying, it's
not a but they are getting way better payments and
I think things will continue to increase and with nil deals,
Let's keep it real. Angel Reese is getting a nice
bit of money.

Speaker 8 (24:58):
Just got charged a plane.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
So yeah, you know, sur process.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
They're younger than the NBA, and I think that right
now a lot of people are paying attention. I go
to the WNBA games and it's actually really exciting and
it's a fun time. Ellie, our elephant is the best mascot.

Speaker 8 (25:13):
Oh I haven't been to w Well you need to go.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Okay, well, all right, and shout out to Jock Queeze.
He proposed to Deandra Sanders at their baby shower.

Speaker 8 (25:23):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
There was so much drama before this, you know, with
his ex Dreazy and all kinds of things.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Happening.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
But yes, so congratulations to the two of them. Also,
congratulations to Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
He got married. Oh yeah, I didn't realize he was
getting married.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Paige Butcher. He's been dating her for quite some time.
They've been engaged. They started dating in twenty twelve. They
got engaged two months after. They welcomed their second town
together in twenty eighteen. And now he's married.

Speaker 8 (25:51):
Send that picture of doctor Umar is ducking to be upset.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Well.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
They got married in Anguilla at the Four Seasons Resort.
I've stayed there before when it was the Viceroy five bedroom.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Villa on the Ocean on Aristocrat.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
All right, Kodak Black versus Plies. You know, the two
of them had a great relationship with each other. But
now for the boys, could be some fallout based around
Donald Trump and Kodak Black is warning Plies about slandering
Donald Trump, and he posted this video.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
They say, yeah, go smack flies for what.

Speaker 8 (26:20):
Opiz had probably been there saying some.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
More crazy that man.

Speaker 8 (26:24):
But like, we ain't going through little Trump's.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Land the brod you need going in tight get off
that live. But Trump ain't there nothing to you.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
You're rich, You're rich.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
All that love, Okayles, And like I said, Kodak has
an affinity toward Donald Trump because he got his presidential pardon.

Speaker 8 (26:41):
Right.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
You know, his lawyer is good friends with Trump and
that's how that happened. But I think it's not just
about you being rich. It's about what's best for the
whole entire nation. So at times like this, it's not
about what's best for my pocket personally, it's about what
is going to be happening around. There's been so much
more up to in violence when Donald Trump was president,
the things that he says, and does you know he's

(27:03):
got this president, he's got immunity, he's appointed all these
justices in the Supreme Court. So much going on. But
you know what, We're going to talk to Roland Martin
later about all of that. In the meantime, ask yee
is next eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
is a number?

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Carll us up any question that you have. We are
here to help you out because they not like us.
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Y everybody since whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's
dropping facts.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Should this is ask gee?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
What's up? His way up?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
At Angela? Yee, I'm here, beat outs here you ready
to give some advice? Brian Mila, all right, we have
Nicole on the line. Hey, Nicole, Hi, how are you good?
How are you good?

Speaker 2 (27:42):
What is your question today?

Speaker 16 (27:44):
What do you do when you and dad and your
boyfriend for two years but he won't host you on
social media?

Speaker 3 (27:50):
So for two years he won't post you you post him, yes,
and he has no problem with that, no.

Speaker 12 (27:57):
Problem when I try to post, when he trying to
post me.

Speaker 16 (28:01):
If I always want to keep my life pride there
whatever that means, not people in his means.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
I kind of understand where he's coming from, because once
you put your relationship out in the public, everyone's involved,
the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Speaker 12 (28:16):
But you just got to ignore that that means nothing.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Well, let me ask you this, what is he posting
on his page? Is he big on social media?

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Like?

Speaker 3 (28:24):
No, Well, that's probably why he don't really care that
much about it.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
But still if he doesn't post a lot, and maybe
that's just not his.

Speaker 12 (28:33):
Thing, maybe it's not.

Speaker 16 (28:35):
But at the second time, I'm hosting news like you
say yeat and a birthday.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
As the rest of your relationship. Great, Yeah, as long
as y'all are doing good.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
You don't think he's doing anything, do you?

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (28:49):
No, I don't have those feelings.

Speaker 16 (28:51):
Well, then you think it's weird how everybody else will
post but you don't want to post your significant others.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Do not get caught up in that. He don't. He
not even the type of person that posts a lot.
He don't. Don't really care about it. You got to
live in real life now. It's fine. He doesn't.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
He doesn't tell you not to post him. If he did,
that would be weird.

Speaker 12 (29:08):
Yeah, that will really be weird. But he'll post his
home boy.

Speaker 6 (29:12):
We can't let the validate your relationship. As long as
things are great, it's still at the end of the
day at Instagrams.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
I mean, look, you don't think he's cheating, and nothing
weird happening. The relationship is good. If the only issue
you have is that he's not posting you, that's very minor.

Speaker 12 (29:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Does he do stuff for you in real life?

Speaker 12 (29:31):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (29:32):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Would you rather he post you or not do nothing
for you?

Speaker 8 (29:36):
That's your gift, exactly.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Listen, appreciate what is happening, but also appreciate that the
two of you show your love in different ways. That's
a good one, Okay, So you know you can go
back and tell him we said that we're on his side,
and you know, maybe one day he will post you
when you guys are maybe sixty five years old, and
what mattered and a secret, you know what I'm saying,

(30:01):
He just don't put that on social media. Y, some
thing's got to keep personal.

Speaker 12 (30:04):
Man, you're true because everybody knows.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah, you know it's annoying these lurkers looking at everything.
You know, you probably just feel like, I don't even
want to put my girl out there. Sometimes that ruins relationships.

Speaker 12 (30:18):
The haters be watching them.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Haters be watching girl. But if you have no worries,
have no worries.

Speaker 12 (30:24):
All right, I'll take your advice.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
All right, Nicoll, good luck, thank you, I'll post. We're
gonna post you, okay, we'll post you. All right. Well
that was asking ye eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty is a number.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
And you know who's back on social media? Donald Trump?

Speaker 3 (30:43):
All right, he's allowed back on meta.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
They've decided that. Now what a time.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
But we'll be talking to Roland Martin when we come back,
and we want to discuss everything that's been happening with Trump.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
You know, he's supposed to announce.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
His VP pick today as well, so we're watching to
see what that is.

Speaker 8 (30:59):
Maybe not.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yeah, don't do that to yourself. I was about to
eject you out of your seat, all right, So get ready.
Roland Martin's going to be joining us. We're going to
talk about this attempted assassination is way up, way up.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
This is way up with Angela. Let's go. You are
a media maven, right, you.

Speaker 9 (31:14):
Never know what Ange's gonna say.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (31:18):
This?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Way up with Angela? Yee, I'm here and Brian aka
beat Out.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Is here with me.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
And in the spirit of being responsible, I wanted to
make sure that we talk about what's going on with
Donald Trump and this attempted assassination from what we know,
and in order to talk about that, we wanted to
bring Roland Martin on to get us up to speed
with all of the factual things that happened. So we
have a Roland on the line.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Hey, Roland, how are you all good?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Trying to get my boys back?

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Listen.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
I know you have a lot to talk about and
I appreciate you so much for letting us check in
with you today because one thing that's happening is a
lot of conspiracy theories, a lot of misinformation. This is
all following the assassination attempt on Trump. Now, let's first
talk about I mean, what happened just from all of
us watching. Some people were saying that he did not
have a bullet graze his air. Some people are saying

(32:06):
that it was a teleprompter. There's a lot that happened.
So I just want to hear from you when you
look at what's been going on. What happened that day.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Well, first and foremost, we what the FBI has released
is that there's a twenty year old. Sure, they named him.
They have not found a motive. He's a registered Republican
and his classmates say he's conservative. But that's all they know, right,
So for anybody on the right to say the left

(32:35):
did this is a lie. Now people have been saying,
and I agree with them. Where's Trump's medical team to
talk about what happened because he says a bullet grace him. Well,
we don't actually know that the sourcing about the teleprompter,
and there was class that was coming from sources. So
the Secret Service or the FBI it's not actually confirmed

(32:59):
that either, so we still don't know exactly the condition
of Trump's ear.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Roland Martin is here with me and beat out. He's
losing his waist. But we're talking about Donald Trump. Now,
what do you think about the Secret Service? Because I
see people are talking about criticism for them after this
security breach during this rally, that this should never have happened.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
How did a gunman manage to even get on the roof?

Speaker 1 (33:21):
The Secret Service has authority over any area, but they
also rely on local and state police to serve various functions. Now,
I was very surprised that you did not have any
law enforcement on top of that building because that building

(33:41):
had a straight line to the rally. The Secret Service
is extremely detailed in their way, so clearly there was
a significant failure of law enforcement by not having that
roof protected.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
Is the level of security the same for a former
president versus an active president?

Speaker 1 (34:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (34:00):
All right, Roland Martin is on the line. I know
you guys watched Roland Martin unfiltered. We have more with
him when we come back. Talking about Donald Trump. Today's
a big day. He's in Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention.
As in, Donald Trump's there and he is picking his
VP today, but there was an attempted assassination over the weekend,
and Roland Martin has all the details for you.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
It's way up about to do this.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
Yeah, yeah, I'm more way up with Angela on now.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
What's up? His way up with Angela?

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yee, I'm here and beat out his here we're talking
to Roland Martin. I feel like when something happens on
the other side, Donald Trump gets very aggressive. The Republicans
in particular, attack a lot of people. Nancy Pelosi's husband
when he was attacked, Donald Trump had jokes and Joe Biden,
you know, is calling for everybody to just take a
step back. Politics shouldn't be like this. They're glad that
he's okay and things like that. What should be happening

(34:53):
now with our president, who is our leader, Joe Biden
at this point in time, because there's a lot of
things that are unraveling to as we're watching this happen, his.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Posture has to be different. But you're absolutely right. The
way Trump and Republicans made fun of the beating the
almost murder of Pelosi's husband was dakful. They also joked
about the kidnapping attempt of the governor of Whitmer and
the governor of Michigan. So it goes to show you character.

(35:25):
This is what I said to people. What happened, Saraity
should not have happened. No one wanted to see Donald
Trump murdered. Donald Trump's about the attempt. A bystander was
killed and two people were injured. But politically the same
Donald Trump before Sarity is the one today. Donald Trump

(35:46):
is still a threat to democracy. You see the ruler
from Judge Cannon uh throwing out the case trumpt's true
social post. He defames E. G. Carroll again, he calls
out the prosecution of January sixth domestic terrorists. So his
so called call for UNI did even last one day.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Yeah, and to be clear, you're right about that.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
So today that justice missed the criminal case against him
for holding on to classified documents after leaving office, which.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Least you'll get overturned on appeal.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Roland Martin is here with me and beat out. He's
losing his waist. But we're talking about Donald Trump. And
then the other thing that happened is that he has
immunity from prosecution for many of his actions in office.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
And that was a couple of weeks ago. The US
Supreme Court ruled that right.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
So the election is still close. Donald Trump can still
be defeated at the ballot box. And I'm not one
of these people who believe all mis guarantees his election.
It does not. His agenda is still a threat to
civil rights, it is still a threat to women's rights,

(36:52):
and so folks can better understand the power still rest
in their hands to make sure he never walks to
the old office again.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I need you to.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
When your voice gets better, we got to have some
more conversations because I definitely want to make sure we
talk about Project twenty twenty five. You know, the Republican
National Convention is in Milwaukee. There's protests happening there right now.
So we're following all of this. And please, like you know, Roland,
I always defer to you when it comes to this
to get the real information.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
In the fact.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
All right, trying to get my boys back.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
I want to send you some ginger or something.

Speaker 7 (37:26):
I've been taking a whole lot of that.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Well, get better, Roland, feel better with your throat, sure myself?
All right?

Speaker 3 (37:35):
All right, Well, you guys were going to make sure
that we keep you updated again.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
And when we come back, y'all have the last word.
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Take up the phone tapping to get your voice heard.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
What the word is the last word on way up
with Angela? Yee?

Speaker 2 (37:51):
What's up this way up at Angela?

Speaker 7 (37:52):
Yee.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
I'm here, my guy, beat, I was with me rocking today.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Of course, I had a good time with you today.
Of course it was a big day after the weekend.
Everything with Donald Trump. It funds like we're in a.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Movie like the Truman But I'm sure we'll have a
lot to talk about.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
As the Republican National Convention is today, Donald Trump said
he's switching up his speech at the last minute.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
We're also going to know who his VP pick is,
so I know.

Speaker 8 (38:19):
Who to be glued to the TV.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Oh my gosh, I don't even know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
All I know is we need to make sure that
we're registered to vote, and we need to make sure
we actually get out and vote. Okay, rock the vote
absolutely again. Thank you to Roland Martin for checking in
with us today. Thank you to you guys for always
paying attention, for listening, for rocking with us, I love
when I go out and I get to meet people
who actually listen to the show and have positive things
to say. It's just amazing say about me. They said,

(38:47):
you're not like us.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
They love you, beat out, they love you.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
You're a little bit of a what's the word I'm
gonna look for, Chauvens traditional a woman, get out of here? Okay, well, anyway,
you guys have the last word.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Of course.

Speaker 7 (39:08):
I secretly put my fiance in jail for I being
without pull over together and the cops took him away.

Speaker 13 (39:18):
Moved up, Angela, yee, this is else and I would
like to shine a light on my beautiful, wonderful, loving,
