What I call her Yee.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
It's way up with Angela Yee and happy National Tequila Day.
Jasmine Brand is here naturally on my own brand. Yes, indeed,
today is National Tequila Day. There's all kinds of deals
really at different places, but we'll get to that. We actually,
in honor of that, started celebrating yesterday.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
We did Angela Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
And that we did. But we are going to have
a really fun show for you today. It is a
Wealth Wednesday. So we do have the budget Nissa joining
us doing a check in we did earlier in the year.
People set their goals and now we're going to see
midyear check those goals. Where we are with that, And
(00:52):
of course we got to start the show up with
some love and positivity because we're very loving and positive people.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
We are eight hundred two nine. He is a number.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Call us up.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
It's time to shine a light. Let us know who
you want to shine a light on. It's way up.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness light shine the light on them. It's
time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
It's way up by Angela Yee. Jasmine Brand is here.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
I'm not just on my own brand Haappy National to
kill a day once again, Yes, and today I want
to shine a light on a person I read about
on Black Enterprise, Haakika Wise, who is the founder and
CEO of Kika Stretch Studio franchise. Now she has six
locations across four different states. But the other thing that
she launched right now is Black Box Franchising, partnering with
(01:44):
fellow entrepreneurs Darren Hawthorne and Jay Simms. What they're doing
is helping other entrepreneurs transform their small businesses into franchises.
Oh you know, it's a big deal because a lot
of times it is difficult to keep one business going
and a lot of times, like they said, the rate
of small businesses permanently shuttering is alarming, and so you
(02:05):
need a model that provides not just survival, but a
path to thriving. And so that's actually what they do
at Black Box Franchising.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
So I just want to shout out to them.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
When you learn how to actually franchise your business and
then you reach back and say I want to help
other people learn how to do something like this, that's
how you really continue with that wealth and also scaling
your business, and she said, we help them learn the
art of branding and scaling through franchising. We've also added
a built in course that educates them about the franchising
world and what it means to be a franchiser.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
It's not an easy thing to do.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
There's a lot of regulations that you have to follow
to even set your business up to be able to franchise.
So I love that they're doing that, right, that's dope?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
All right?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Now, who do you.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Guys want to shine a light on? Eight hundred and
two nine two fifty fifty? Hey, Anya, how are you?
Speaker 6 (02:52):
I'm good. I'm good, Actually, I'm good. I wanted to
get a shinal light out to roam New York. Last
week they went through a huge tolado. My hometown, I'm
not there right now, but my city has been a
bit divided through a lot of politics and classism. And
all I'm hearing is how much they've come together. People
are in people's yards cutting up trees. There's over two
(03:14):
thousand homes that have been destroyed because of this tornado.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
Were out.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
It's a lot, and I want to give them a
shout out for coming together.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
All right.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
See, that's sometimes it takes tragedy for people to put
their differences to the side because the commonality is that
everybody is going through it right now in Rome, New York.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Absolutely, and the creator works in the serious ways.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Right, you're right about that?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
All right, Well, thank you so much for calling Anya, Thank.
Speaker 7 (03:35):
You so much and so great to talk to you.
Speaker 4 (03:38):

during last word and when we come back, we have
your e t and let's talk about Cardi B and
Shakari Richardson. We'll tell you what Cardi B had to
say as she sent Shakari Richardson some positive affirmations.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
The rooms from industry shade to all the gossip out
angelas spieling that EyeT.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
All right, it's way up. I'm angela yee and it's
time for some yet well Snoop Dogg has been selected
as one of the final torch bearers for the twenty
twenty four Olympic Summer Games. How exciting is that he'll
be carrying the torch just before it reaches its final
destination at the Eiffel Tower. They just announced this yesterday,
by the way, and Snoop went on Instagram shared a
(04:29):
screenshot of an article about it and said, you got
to do it. Will you be watching follow the dog
hastag Paris Olympics. Speaking of the Olympics, Carti B she
previously recorded a clip of her and Shakari Richardson getting
their nails done. It's a promo as Shakari is getting
ready to head to Paris for the Summer Games. Now,
Cardi B wrote wishing it's Shakari so much luck. You
(04:51):
brought so much emotion out of me because your words
and your spirit is so powerful. Seeing your growth after
people try to turn their back on you is so
inspirational to me. You are more than just an athlete.
You are a superhero and I can't wait to see
where the next ten years take you because you already
a legend. You guys. Recall, Hikari Richardson was supposed to
be at the Olympics, but she was disqualified in the
(05:13):
twenty twenty one Tokyo Olympic Games after testing positive for marijuana.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
But now this is going.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
To be her debut at the Olympics and here is
what they're sit down getting their nails done.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
Sounded like almost walked away, But this is what you
love and scrapping is what I love. And I cannot
walk away from what I love because other people make
me feel Yah.
Speaker 9 (05:37):
So I need you to go on an album. I'm
gonna go train so when I make this team, I
got me some no song. I need my Race Day
album at it.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
I need a song. Yeah, you have seen my journey.
Speaker 9 (05:46):
You can literally take moments of your life and relate
it to my journey.
Speaker 8 (05:50):
And we represented so special, like you're really more than
just like an athlete, Like you're really special one.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Oh my gods, gonta be good.
Speaker 9 (06:02):
Movies.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
I's so good to be too.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
I'm so nice too.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
That was really cute. I have to say.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
I love to see people women uplifting each other in
that way. And the fact that she got so emotional
just and even at the time when Shakhari Richardson was disqualified.
You know, CARTI was showing support back then too, as
a lot of people were so shout out to her
for that. All right, And the New Twisters movie, which
was a sequel to the nineteen ninety six movie open
(06:33):
to an eighty point five million dollar domestic weekend. That
is the record for I don't know. This is a
category biggest domestic opening for a natural disaster film, so
that's the category. The previous big number was two thousand
and fours the day after tomorrow, So now this is
the number one. All right, Well that is your yut.
(06:55):
When we come back, we have about last night. That's
where we discussed what we did last night. I hope
Jasmine Brand is back in the room for this because
she had to take a zoom and we were together
last night and it was a hot mess.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yes, it's way up. I'm here, man, I'm so upset.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Dasmon Brand is in the other room because we were
together last night and she's going back to DC today.
So yesterday we were supposed to go to this screening
for this movie, Sing Sing, but I don't think I
would have made it in time. But it's a movie
I definitely want to see. If anybody's seen it, let
me know. But it was It's supposed to be an amazing,
amazing movie. But we ended up just staying in Brooklyn
(07:40):
first we went to eat at this restaurant called Native
and we had some Joeloff.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
What else did I have?
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I had Joeloff and I had some wings and Mambo
wings by the way. And then after that it was
my friend Robinson. He owns a liquor store called Eclectic
in Brooklyn and best die and so I missed his
birthday party. So I was like, you know what, let's
pop up at the store and let's surprise him and
just celebrate his birthday with him while he's at work.
(08:10):
And he happens to work in a liquor store and
it happens to be National Tequila Day today. So we
went to the store and you know what, I was thinking,
have you and I'm gonna ask Navy because.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
He's right here.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Have you seen that show Tires that's on Netflix?
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Unfortunately?
Speaker 10 (08:24):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Okay, Well it's all takes place like in this auto shop.
But I was thinking.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
While I was in the store, I was kind of
like helping with the customers as they were coming in,
and we met a lot of interesting people.
Speaker 11 (08:36):
Right.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
We met one couple that was in there and it
was just her birthday and her boyfriend doesn't drink, and
so we had a nice long We were definitely getting
to know people. We met two women they both were
named Emily, visiting from another country and they were visiting
their friend. Her name is Sean, who lives here, and
they've never had nineteen forty two before, so we introduced
(08:57):
them to that and all had to drink together.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
I met two guys who were on their way to
the gym.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
But basically I was like, this would be a great
show also because if you see a show like that,
a lot of different people go into the store and
they're headed. Everybody's going to do something different. You know,
everything I think about that happens in life. I'm like,
how would this play out on television? And if you
look at my Instagram before I take it down, I
did go live and Jasmine was definitely doing this dance
(09:24):
called the south Side.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I don't know if you saw that, Oh I definitely
saw what's she doing that dance? Correctly?
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Probably not?
Speaker 4 (09:33):
But we had a good time, right and isn't that
all that matters? And then we ended up at McDonald's
after that, and that's all on the live so you
have a chance to watch it. But it was very
entertaining and amusing night and we got to really just
you know, go to all these different businesses and actually
meet and interact with people. I was giving advice. I
was doing ask Yee live on the spot. But anyway,
(09:55):
that was about last night. Now when we come back,
it's tell us a secret. Eight hundred fifty one fifty
is a number. Today, it's the day. It's National Tequila Day.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
All right, have a shot.
Speaker 4 (10:04):

You are anonymous, and this is a time for you
to just clear it out. Just clear the air on
this wealth Wednesday, National Tequila Day. Tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (10:21):

hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Hey, anonymous, call
it what's your secret.
Speaker 7 (10:49):
I just slept with my baby daddy and I just
put a restraining order on him two months ago.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
So he was had a restraining order, but clearly he
broke that. And then you guys slept together.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
Yeah, we both broke it.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
So now what is just gonna be that?
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Not getting back together.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
It's just gonna be that.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
So what do you think, no more restraining Why did
you get a restraining order in the first place?
Speaker 9 (11:12):
Because we've been through a lot with two and two
years and we got a son together, and he came
and busted my house window out.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Oh yeah, that's a So nobody knows about this, Like
you don't want to tell your friends because you're embarrassed.
Speaker 6 (11:25):
Oh I'm not even embarrassed about it.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
I just don't want nobody to know.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
All right, girl, Well, at least you know what it is.
Be safe out there. You to thank you, all right,
thank you for calling paying Adam's color.
Speaker 1 (11:38):

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I'm good? You want to tell me in jasmine secret?
Speaker 7 (11:43):
How am you let this off my chest?
Speaker 12 (11:45):
After five years?
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Okay? Okay.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
So I have a best friend m hm and she
has a child, she's married for that other.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Okay, she's married with a kids.
Speaker 7 (11:58):
That baby belongs to her male best friend.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Oh my gosh, does the male best friend know that
he's the dad.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
And her husband has no idea who the.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Baby look like? Does the baby the baby looks more
like the best friend or the husband.
Speaker 7 (12:16):
Yeah, she got with the guys that looked like each other.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Oh good, Okay, so the guys look similar, so it
could be they looked very similar.
Speaker 7 (12:25):
So in his family they say he looked just she
looks like her, And in his family they're like, yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Oh my gosh, let me ask you this. So is
she constantly sleeping with this best friend that's really like her?
Her other dude?
Speaker 10 (12:40):
What she want?
Speaker 7 (12:41):
She was at one point, but then they fell out
for a minute, and then.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
The brother of the your friend is wild.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Wow, she don't need to be married.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Maybe she wild was, Yeah, she's.
Speaker 12 (12:59):
Wild out there.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
So what you be telling her?
Speaker 7 (13:03):
I said, girl, I don't know how you do this?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Can you a magine? So do you think she's ever
gonna tell her husband?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You think one days? Like, let me just get this
DNA test.
Speaker 7 (13:16):
I don't know that he thinks is his only child.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Okay, he probably don't even want to know. That's not
his baby.
Speaker 7 (13:22):
He probably would not ever want to know. But the
thing is, I told her to at least brother.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Let's say, let me does does the her male best
friend Does he know that she's also sleeping with his brother?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Not at all.
Speaker 7 (13:39):
The male best friend is still in the military. Oh,
the brother lives in the same town she does.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
So that's that child's daddy and uncle uncle.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
I always asked this question. But who does she say
that sex is better with out of the three of them, the.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
Male best friend and then my brother's second and her
husband is oh.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Man, he has that security instability.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
I do want to say this though, don't leave your
man around her, Okay, God, because your friend do not have.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
I just want to say, a friend like that, she'll
do it to you too.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah she will, sadly she will.
Speaker 13 (14:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
Thank you for sharing with us.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
It's like a Tyler Perry movie. All right, next season
the sisters. All right, but thank you for calling.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
That's a good secret. And it's not even her secret.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yeah, she's like, I.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Want to tell somebody.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
She had held it for five years.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
All right.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Well, speaking of Tyler Perry, when we come back. We
have some yet.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
He was on Kicky Palmer's podcast and will tell you
what he had to say about people talking about the
themes and his movies are always the same that distressed
black women.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Will tell you what his response was. It's way up
about this, but let's get it.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Oh yeah, angelus villain that ye tea, Come and get
the tea, all right?
Speaker 3 (15:05):
His way up. I'm here, Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Yeah, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I'm my own brand.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Let's go to the Jasmin brand dot com right now
and look at this discussion that Kicky Palmer had on
her podcast, Baby, this is Kicky Palmer with Tyler Perry. Now,
they were talking about actor and filmmaker Justin Simeon's past
critiques of Tyler Perry.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
People, you know, talk very badly. Listen Rotten Tomatoes.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Yeah, because latest movie. The audience liked it, but the
critics that they use. And that's why we need our
own platforms to talk about movies and TV shows because
sometimes certain critics just don't get it. But here is
what their discussion sounded like.
Speaker 14 (15:44):
I know for a fact that what I'm doing is
exactly what I'm supposed to be doing because for everyone
who is a critic. I have thousands of used to
be emails from people saying this changed my life. A
large portion of my fans who are disenfranched guys who
cannot get in the volvo and go to therapy on
the weekend. So you've got this high brow negro who
(16:06):
is all up in the air with his nose up
looking at everything, and then you got people like where
I come from and me, who are brinders who really.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Know what it's like.
Speaker 14 (16:14):
Don't discount these people and say that their story don't matter.
Who are you to be able to say which black
story is important or should be told? Get out here
with that, boy, I hear.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
That about that.
Speaker 15 (16:26):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
I learned on Sisters that a woman could be pregnant
with twins from two different men.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Yeah, I did not know that, all right.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Lupe Fiasco, he was on X Basis on Monday and
he was in Joe Butten's room and they started talking
about Kenjack Lamar versus Drake and the beef. But then
the conversation went a different direction when Lupe asked, where
is the porn on Twitter?
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Because I can't find it.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
I feel like porn on Twitter randomly does pop up
like where did this just come from?
Speaker 13 (16:59):
It does?
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Is it bec someone that you follow liked it? And
then I don't I have?
Speaker 16 (17:03):
Is that why?
Speaker 12 (17:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:04):
And so anyway, then the discussion turned to masturbating and
here's what happened.
Speaker 12 (17:10):
Are you in morning or night or middle of the
day type freet what's going on?
Speaker 11 (17:15):
I mean, I'll watch porn that night.
Speaker 12 (17:16):
So when you when you're finished, what is is it
a sock? Is it a rag? What's catching?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
If you're smart, you should.
Speaker 11 (17:23):
Be using a condom?
Speaker 2 (17:24):
What's the theory behind that?
Speaker 11 (17:25):
You efficient and clean and you don't want to stop
and have to aim like if it's like it's paper
towels or something like that. Right, so it's the same.
It serves the same function as a sock to kind
of contain, right, but then ox and you got to
wash them or do whatever. But then you know, commons
is cheap. You get a box of fifteen dollars, go crazy?
Speaker 1 (17:43):
All right, I don't know if I don't know, I've
never heard that before.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Yeah, I didn't know that was a thing, but maybe
it is. Kick push right into that condom, look at you.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
All right? And Kamala Harris.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Her run for president has actually help the ratings of
the show Veep that HBO show VIEP, which is pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Julie, I loved her.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
I just plays Vice President Selena Meyer. She's a politician
who's unsuccessful presidential run ends with her getting to be
vice president and then the sitting president steps down and
that's when she ends up.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
And this is kind of like a parallel situation.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
So according to TMZ, the show was averaging four hundred
and eighty six thousand minutes watched on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Now it's two point two million just a day later
on Monday.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
That show is funny though, it's a good show.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
So the increase was three hundred and fifty percent. All
things to this happening, people are now going to watch
that show.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Cut Kamala check.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
That's what I'm saying. Listen, Real life is a movie.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Yeah, it's the Kamala effect. Well is it life imitating
art is imitating life?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Now our imitates life? Yeah, and now life is imitatating art.
Speaker 10 (18:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
All right, well that is your yee tee. Now when
we come back, we have under the radar. These are
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They
are flying under the radar, and I want to talk
about these new inclusive Barbie dolls. I was discussing that
this morning with Keys who does my makeup, and she
was so excited and she's like, yeah, Barbie for being inclusive.
Will tell you what Mattel is doing and the way
(19:15):
that they did it, because you got to consult the
actual people.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
But now here's some neo with sexy Hello.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Okay, girl, this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
It's way up. I'm Angela, Ye Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
I'm not just any brand, I'm my own brand.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
And time for these under the radar stories and let's
talk about these new Barbie dolls that are being released.
Blind Barbie is available I'm both online at the matel
shop and in major retailers for ten dollars and ninety
nine cents. And they actually tested the Barbie with blind
and low vision children. That's how they found the sensory
(19:52):
rich outfit and high contrast elements to make it easily
viewable for people with low vision. Okay, And so they
also made it easier to change her clothes with hooks
and loop fasteners and elastic waistbands.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
They even made the packaging more accessible.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Very thoughtful. They were very thoughtful with this.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
They also have the black Barbie with Down syndrome. All right,
that's the second to have Down syndrome. The first was
released last year in April, and that was designed in
collaboration with the National Down Syndrome Society. They also consulted
a focused group of black individuals from the Down syndrome community,
and so they said this was sculpted to accurately depict
the physical characteristics of people with that condition, like a
(20:31):
shorter frame, a longer torsso and low muscle tone and
palms that only have single lines etched in them. That's
a common characteristic of people with Down syndrome.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Huh, I didn't know that. Okay, are you a barbie girl.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
I did have a couple of barbies growing up, not
a ton of them. You have a daughter.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
I do have a daughter. She doesn't have any barbies yet.
I don't know she will be into barbies, but I
definitely want to give her some black barbies and these
ones that are diverse and stuff, you know.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
All right, Well, this is all part of the barbie
Fascionista's series and they're going to have more than one
hundred and seventy five looks and just giving this whole
multi dimensional view of the world. All right, and speaking
of women, let's talk about Miss Kansas. While she was
on stage actually competing, she called out her abuser and
(21:18):
this is Miss Kansas, Alexis Smith Plexus, what will.
Speaker 14 (21:21):
Be your vision as the next brand ambassador for the
Miss Kansas organization?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
My vision as the next Miss Kansas is to eliminate
unhealthy and abusive relationships. Matter of fact, some of you
out in this audience saw me very emotional because my
abuser is here today.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
But that's not going to.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Stop me from being on this Miss Kansas date from day.
That's the next Miss Kansas.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Good for her, right, And she even spoke about this
during her interview afterward and let people know that that's
going to be what her platform is. She's going to
use her story tools resources to end unhealthy relationships and
all forms instead of falling into silence. So that was
a beautiful thing, and that is you're under the radar.
You know, we have the way Up Mix at the
(22:08):
top of the hour, and we also have a wealth Wednesday,
we had my girl, Tiffany Alit aka the budget Nissa
checking in. We spoke to her earlier about setting goals
for yourself.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Now we're gonna do a mid year to check in
to see where you are with those goals. It's way up.
Speaker 9 (22:23):
She's like the tout like they Angela Jean, like they
Angelie Jee.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Man, She's spilling it all.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
This is yet way off, all right, his way up.
I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
I'm not just Ninny brand.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
I'm my own brand man.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
And I hate to see people who are so close fallout. Yeah, Jasmine,
that's never going to happen to us. But Chaotic and
Little Scrappy apparently the two of them were filming an
episode for Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and they got
into a fight.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Everything was caught on camera and they were separated.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
But Chaotic went on Instagram after the fight to clear
the air else to say that it was a little
Scrappy's fault.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
I don't know what that was.
Speaker 10 (23:04):
Me and Scrappy got into. We was on set of
Love and Hip Hop filming filming all day. You know,
we've been filming Love and hip hop. We don't see
each other on set. Several time we speak when we
on set, you know what I'm saying. We was just
loving and joking with each other on set. Now that
TV was telling me we could do the show with
just you, chaotic, you don't gotta do you, ain't Scrappy,
we could do it with just you, I told him, Nah,
(23:26):
Scrapy is my bro. I'm like, man, we got this
whole bromance and all this stuff on the internet that
everybody loved. They loving our partnership, they loving our friendship.
I want us to do it together. They were like
you sure, cut scrap You're not here.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
He also said that Scrappy was drunk at the time
the fight went down and ran up on him out
of nowhere, like he had a problem now. A little
Scrappy then went ahead and shared his side about why
he got a little scrappy, like I told.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Him, ain't no sitting down talking to me, homie. You
shouldn't have lied. Should have got on him line.
Speaker 15 (23:59):
Trying to get your little cloud, trying to get you
a little click, trying to trying to run off with
the money and all that, and then you want people
to believe you.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
I'm gonna just tell them they give me the money
for I'm on and my family own. I get paid
every day.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
I don't have to go around and suck on people
whoa suck on?
Speaker 15 (24:13):
You know what I'm saying, telling people, Hey, you'll do
a YouTube with me and then the dancers ain't even
your dancers.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I ain't talk to you in the mouth. I don't
fuck with you.
Speaker 15 (24:21):
You're sassy. You're damn near a girl. Only women go
to social media when something just happened because they can't
hold it. I'm gonna be your ass. It's up, money, Oh.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
It's up.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
I'm offended that he thinks that we go to social
media and that's what women do, because I don't do that.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
I don't do that either.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
All right. Well, anyway, the two of them, unfortunately, have
been going.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
At it and I like them to ask for they'll
get back together, don't they?
Speaker 4 (24:44):
And they did lip service together. It was a great episode.
If you haven't had a chance to see that, they
show you you check it out. By the way, shout
out to Little Real, who's lost a lot of weight.
He's promoting his new movie, Harold and the Purple Crayon
that'll be in theaters on August seconds. But he did
say that he's been working out really hard and he's
proud of himself. People were saying that he's on ozempic
(25:05):
and that he's not fooling anyone, but he said he
worked really hard the last five years physically, mentally, spiritually, professionally,
and personally. And that's what he captioned that post. So okay,
people would know it wasn't ozempic.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Okay, he looks good regardless whatever it was.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
He looks good, right, and whatever you got to do,
you know, make it happen.
Speaker 14 (25:24):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
And lastly, Elon Musk, they were reports that he was
donating forty five million dollars a month to Donald Trump.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
I saw that.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Yeah, did you believe it?
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (25:32):
I did?
Speaker 4 (25:33):
All right, Well, Elon must say fosse and he was
on with Jordan Peterson.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 17 (25:38):
What's been reported in the media is simply not true. Okay, okay,
I'm not donating forty five million dollars a month to
Trump right now. What I have done is I have
created a pack or super pack what do you want
to call it?
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Yeah, which.
Speaker 17 (25:57):
You know, I simply call it the America pack, so
I wouldn't say that. I'm so, for example, MAGA of
making America great again. I think America is great. I'm
more MG, make America greater.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Okay, Well, there you have it, and make America greater.
And that is your yee tea.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
All right, guys, And when we come back, we have
asked yee. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
is a number any question you have. I'm here to help.
Jasmine is here to help. We've been through a lot.
We are not judging anyone, but we do have a
lot of life advice between us, unfortunately, and we've lived
a lot of lives.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
All right. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Ask yee is next, whether it's relationship or career advice.
Angela's dropping facts. This is ask ye.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Is way up at Angela yee, and it is way
up today on National Tequila Day, and Jasmine Brand is
here with me and you guys are here with any
question that you have. We want to help you out.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. We have
Travis on the line. What's up, Travis?
Speaker 12 (26:55):
Really, what's up?
Speaker 18 (26:56):
You?
Speaker 3 (26:57):
What's happening. What's your question with my daughter?
Speaker 12 (27:00):
Just los virginity?
Speaker 3 (27:03):
That's hard for d hear.
Speaker 12 (27:04):
I was on my job and somebody called me the
kind of friend that I was going to take her
phone away and she told me. I'm saying she was honest,
but this was a week ago. I'm kind of old.
I'm kind of like not over it.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
But right number one, she was honest with you. That's
a really positive thing. Yep, she told him, because probably
when I was fifteen, not alive, I would have took
that one to yeah, grat So she still could have lied,
and at least she was honest with you, because it
is something that is, you know, for a young girl
talking to her father. But I think the main thing
is it's hard for any parent, no matter how hard
(27:38):
you try to watch your kid, you know, think about
how were you when you lost your virginity.
Speaker 12 (27:42):
I mean age, Okay, years ago, we know, but I'm.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Just saying, you know, sometimes it's hard to think about
your kids growing up and doing the things that you
used to do. But what you want her to do
is do whatever she's doing responsibly and be able to
come to you.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
You want her to be comfortab and not be scared
if she does something else.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
And to have information because there's too much information out
there missing out. Yeah, that's not correct, and she needs
to be able to come to her father and say this.
Speaker 12 (28:11):
Is what she But she she's not though, you know, right,
and moms knew about it. And if someone didn't tell
me about it in the neighborhood, then I would have
never knew about it.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
How does somebody in the neighborhood.
Speaker 12 (28:27):
Talking She told the boyfriend told his mother okay, and
is cool with a female friend that I know.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Okay, okay, So it wasn't like kids talking to you know,
and it is her boyfriend and you know, and the
boyfriend's mom is involved.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
I just think that you need to have the talk
with her.
Speaker 12 (28:50):
I don't know how to look at her now, you
know what I mean. I don't know what to say,
and I didn't want to jump off, you know what
I mean with the first impulse angry and Travis.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Don't make her feel ashamed and don't be anger mess
up her entire life.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
She's never going to tell you anything.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Seriously, it's time to have that talk where you can
be like, look, obviously I'm your father, so it's hard
for me, but I know what's going on and even
share a little bit about yourself. A lot of times
kids don't know what their parents did, so that might
be a time for you to be like, look, when
I was fifteen, I lost my virginity around.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
The same age that you did.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
And so you know, obviously you're my daughter, so it's
hard for me to hear this, but I want you
to know that you could talk to me about anything,
and if there's questions, I want to make sure that
I'm here to help you. I'm not here to be
mad at you. I'm not angry. I just want you
to be able to come to me. That's the main thing.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
You want your daughter to come to you.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Because these girls that have really strict parents or feel
like they can't talk to their parents, that's those are
the wildest ones. So you don't want your daughter to
turn into that.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
All right, Well, good luck, you're good daddy.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yeah, take your time now, but it's gonna this two
shows past. Yeah, you know, this probably bring y'all closer together,
at least.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
To her boyfriend. At least you know the mammy A
lot of nurse Yeah, a lot worse. Don't fight it.
Speaker 12 (30:11):
Just good day, all right too.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
Look he's so tight he pissed. All right, Well that
was ask ye, that was a good one. You got
a daughter, wait till she's fifteen. I think when I
was fifteen, that was a tough age for my parents. Boy, listen,
eight hundred fifty. If you couldn't get through, you could
always leave a message. We'll answer your question that way
and when we come back. It is a Wealth Wednesday.
(30:33):
So we do have Tiffany Alite aka the Budget needs
to joining us. She is so amazing with the information
that she's able to give us. And we're doing a
midyear check in on your goals. It's way up.
Speaker 18 (30:45):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (30:56):
This way up with Angela Yee? And this is going
to be a fun Wealth Wednesday. My co host Stacy Tisdale.
Speaker 16 (31:02):
Happy well with Wednesdays everybody. We have a mid year
financial check up with the budget needs stuff.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
I can't believe it's the middle of the year already,
can we talk about that. So yes, but that also
means you still have the rest of the year to
reach your goals exactly.
Speaker 16 (31:20):
So what should people do if it's they're kind of
afraid it's midyear. Where do they start when it comes
to taking stock of their financial goals?
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Well, first and first, Stacy, I want you to revisit
what your goals were in genuary. You know, like everybody
wrote stuff down. Maybe you journals, maybe you did a
vision board, maybe just started out. So revisit what those
goals are. See if they still align. Because maybe you
had a goal if I want to buy a house
and it just doesn't make sense now, But maybe you
had a goal I want to save a thousand dollars
(31:49):
and it still makes sense, right, So what were your goals?
How far or how close are you to accomplishing them?
If you're still pretty far, map out the next the
rest of the year of what do I need to
do to get okay? You know, So like let's just
say your goal was I want to save a thousand
dollars and you're at two hundred, Well, what do we
have to do to get to the eight hundred? Month
by month by month?
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Bring you you know, They always say, don't beat yourself up,
but I do know, and I'm not just talking about myself,
but a lot of times to be set these goals
and then we do things that we know are not
aligned with reaching those goals, because it's not sometimes easy
the well power that you have to have to be
able to achieve goals. Like you'll be like, I want
(32:29):
to buy ours, but I'm still acting and doing things
like shopping and you know, making purchase and going out
to eat and going on vacations and doing all of
the things that won't align with me trying to save
up that money.
Speaker 16 (32:41):
You always say being clear on your goals helps.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
But also too, get your an accountability party. You are
here by yourself. Why like tell your sister your best
of your work, hubby, somebody who's gonna be like, oh
we are here again, but someone who is gonna jetly
motivate you. You're accountable, and then you create like an
accountability check in, right, so it might be monthly, but
(33:04):
you're also helping them check in. Maybe it's weekly. So
you set your goals, you share them, and then you
check in with your accountability partner because it's really going
to help you. I mean, no one is perfect, but
knowing that someone's going to ask you about it is
really going to motivate you to stay on track or lie.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
I'm glad, yes, right, you know, because saving.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Is a big thing that we were talking about, because sometimes,
you know, saving is like when you spend money to
save money, but really you're just spending money you don't
need to spend. And so you might be like, oh,
there's a big sale, I could save five hundred dollars
on this, but you don't even need it. But you
think you're saving money, but you're spending money on something
you don't need because it's on sale. I'm a saveror
and I'm aware.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
But I'm trying to get some people save to spend,
meaning that like they'll say like, oh my goodness, like
I save this two hundred dollars, and then they spend
that two hundred dollars. It's like the savings never stays. Yeah,
you know. And so the key for that, though, is
you have to make your money inconvenient, because inconvenient money
gets saved. Like I do not put my spending money
in my saving money the same bank. Okay, so my
(34:01):
spending money goes to my convenient bank, which is like
the brick and mortar banks outside, swipe your your your
a jebbercard, you know the ones we see outside. My
savings money goes in an online only bank because she
is stingy and if I want to spend her you
gotten through hoops. What you got to make that transfer
twenty four hours before it's available. Blah blah blah. So
(34:22):
it makes my money inconvenient.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
That's a good idea.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
You know, it slows you down a little bit. Yeah,
that's a great idea.
Speaker 16 (34:27):
I love the accountability partner because I got a stat
write down your goals. Tell someone you are it's like
ninety eight percent more likely to achieve them asige and
check in.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
And here's the thing. I mean, y'all like to tell
your business on social media anyway, if you don't have
someone to do, make social media you accountability.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Right, y'all like to push yourselves in a GM.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Put your goals.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
Imagine you're just like, hey, guys, I want to save
a thousand dollars, you know, by the end of the year.
Every month, I'm gonna check in with y'all and then
that way people we'll start.
Speaker 10 (35:00):
To ask you.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
I thought you had said that you were like, where
are we at s clean shop?
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Please?
Speaker 11 (35:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (35:05):
You know, and so yeah, just finding people that are
going to hold you accountable, but getly accountable because they're
not looking for people to be the sun.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
All right. The Budget Nista is here with us for
our Wealth Wednesday and we are helping you set your goals,
keep those goals, and we're going to talk about things
that are happening for her personally, and you know what,
some relationship advice too, because we definitely need that when
it comes to finances and your other half.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
It's way up.
Speaker 18 (35:27):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
What's up? It's way up.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
I'm Angela Yee and my Wealth Wednesday partner Stacy Tisdale
is here and we are talking to Tiffany Alit aka
the Budget Nista.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Tiffany.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
Oh lord, you know we didn't follow your journey and
a lot of people so what you went through again,
you know, it was very unfortunate. We sent you a
lot of love and I felt it, yes, absolutely, you
know when your husband passed, but you did mention after
and that was three years ago. But now you have
found someone and you know, you being the budget nistaid,
(36:10):
there's a lot of things that we talk about when
it comes to being in a relationship and money. So
tell us about what this journey's been like, and what
it was like for you starting with someone new, and
what kind of conversations you had.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
So I just opened myself up to like dating more intentionally.
And it's actually somebody I knew from some years back,
Like I want to say, I probably met them like
fifteen plus years ago, and we used to run in
the same circle. His grandmother actually lives around the corner
from me, and that's how we reconnected. One of the
things I like most about him is that we talk
about everything, but we can have the hard conversations gently.
(36:43):
We do like a monthly check in to say how
are you feeling? Do you feel connected? You know, like
we read books together. He's like really well read, he's
got his master's, really smart, and so you know, I
really love the fact that we can connect. So you
have to look for what you're wanting, like for some women,
like for almost every man that I date just because
of the success of my business, I'm gonna make more.
(37:03):
You know, Like there are some men that you know
that reached out and want to date who did make
more than me. But that's not as much because you
know that, Yeah, you know, but you know, but despite that,
I just wasn't interested because there wasn't a kindness there.
There wasn't this gentleness. There wasn't this face to grieve
and to be myself. There wasn't. So I know, all
the girls be like, and I want me a millionaire dude,
(37:25):
I'm like, I've dated some of them and y'all can
have it.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
And Tiffany, one of my fans, tell me she was like,
I wish I had money so I could date who
I went to women.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Somebody told me that.
Speaker 14 (37:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
Yeah, because for me, I'm not out here fighting for
my life.
Speaker 10 (37:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Because there's the thing.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
If I was a single mom with two jobs trying
to figure out, honestly.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Your date, differently I would I would have to.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
If I was still preschool teacher, Tiffany making thirty five
thousand dollars a year, it would look different. But for me,
I do not need my husband made significantly less than me.
Here's the thing. Women who are looking for someone, you
get to decide what you because social media will have.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
You alone, right, absolutely alone.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
I'm not saying you should not fate the bus drop
you should strip. I don't care, girl.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
It's on an individual decision based on what you want
to do in your life. Yes, and there is no
one size fits all solution when it comes to dating.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
And I would have missed out on the most amazing
love possible, and my husband's love healed me, you know,
and I'm able to now be in partnership in an
even better place because of that love. Right, tell us
some tips for having the money talk couples. The key
to to me to truly connected, wonderful partnership is each
(38:38):
person is working on themselves individually to be better, and
then they are willing to work on the relationship together
to begetter.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
I always say that two whole people coming together is
the best that you get. It's not two halves make
a whole, you know.
Speaker 16 (38:52):
So for your maybe your financial check in, you need
a goal sheet and she has made it really easy
as a free resource, free red source for all of
you you.
Speaker 5 (39:02):
I love it, So it's just gonna be super easy.
Just find me the BUDGETIESEA on Instagram and just DM
me the word goals and I will send you that
free goal. Meet your check in resource sheet and just
start like like we mentioned before, figure out where you
were at the beginning of the year, write down what
your goals are. Now, find you an accountability partner, have
regular check ins.
Speaker 16 (39:22):
Okay, we love our budgetie to follow her so much
and I'm so happy and you touched us today, honestly, like,
thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 16 (39:30):
Happy Wealth Wednesday everybody, and don't forget to follow Wealth
Wednesdays on Instagram and to go to Teamwealth Wednesdays dot
com for our free newsletter.
Speaker 4 (39:38):
You can watch that full interview and you're definitely gonna
want to do that on my YouTube channel Way Up
with ye And when we come back, you guys have
the last word.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Got the phone tapping to get your voice heard? What
the words? Here's the last word on Way Up with
Angela Yee, It's way up.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
I'm anze La yee. Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
We made it through the day on National to kill
a Day baby on a Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
Angela did I don't know how we made it it's
rough today for me.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
