Speaker 1 (00:22):
I feel good on the inside. On the outside not
so much.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
What's the matter?

Speaker 5 (00:26):
You need a haircut?

Speaker 6 (00:26):
Man?

Speaker 5 (00:26):
Look like a hostage.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You know you don't look at this man?

Speaker 4 (00:30):
I need here.

Speaker 5 (00:32):
That's a plus, right.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Plus Now you guys just heard Ice Spice right, and
her album is out today, Y two K. And we've
been playing songs off of Y two K at the
top of the hour. Okay, so I know you listen
to that coming in today, but we'll talk.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
About it later. Relaxed, all right, you said some things already.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
I'll be nice because I want to come back here by.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
You said some things about women rappers. Let us have
our moment. Not that I'm a rapper, but let the
women have their moment.

Speaker 5 (01:02):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Well, today on the show, Mayor Eric Adams is going
to be joining us. And you know with Kamala Harris
now the nominee yes for president, I know he got
some things he has to say about that. Our elections
for mayor are going to be next year, so there's
some conversations around that because you know mayor Adams days.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
In the news.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
May anyway, let's get the show started with some love
and with some positivity. Let's shine a light. I met
somebody I shined a light on yesterday. I was at
this five words, fiveboard fighters night last night, and so
it was really nice to hear the results of shining
a light on them, had and on her business.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
So did she cry, did you give you a hug?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Well it was her mom. But you know it was
a nail polish line. But we'll talk about it, serenity,
nail polish. All right, So let's press some love eight hundred.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
You'll just nobody like you do.

Speaker 7 (02:03):
We're gonna like to pluck up a machine. Turn your
lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The light on them, Shine the light on them.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 8 (02:18):
What up?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It's way up on a Friday. I'm here and of
course beat out here. I know so many things you
want to talk about today, of course, but today I
want to shine a light. I was at this event
a night in full bloom, and this was all about
fibroid fighters. You know, up to ninety percent of Black
women will end up having fibrards by the time they

(02:39):
turn fifty. I've heard about at least one, and it's
a huge It can be a huge hindrance to things
in your life to tell you get a hysterectomy and
get a maamectomy, different things that doctors will tell you
that you need to do well. Yesterday, at this event,
Cynthia Bailey and her sister Mallory Billy were there. They've
both had fibrarids, and Cynthia Bailly was very open about
her journey on Real Housewives of Atlanta. So I just

(03:01):
want to shout them out for that. Mallory doesn't even
like being in the spotlight, So the way that she
was able to get up there and talk about how
difficult it was. You know, this periods of time when
you're changing your pad or your tampa every ten minutes,
that's how bad it is, So to the point where
you don't even want to go anywhere, or leave the
house or do anything because you don't know what's going
to happen if you have an accident, you can't wear

(03:21):
a white all of those things. So I applaud them
for talking about it. Sometimes people can be ashamed and
not want to spread the word. All right, well, who
do you guys want to shine a light on. Let's
let's talk to Lyrisia. Hey, Lyrisia, what's up?

Speaker 4 (03:36):
I'm good? Who do you want to shine a light on?
I called you like maybe.

Speaker 8 (03:41):
Two years ago because he still three that he's finally home.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Oh that's so nice. She's finally home two years later?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Well what's his name? Naji? Welcome home? What's he going
to do now? Do you have things lined up? Is
he looking for work?

Speaker 8 (03:59):
We're trying to get all together.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Okay, well listen, celebrate him being home, you know, make
sure y'all lift him up. But we shine a light
on you, Naji, and thank you for calling Lricia. That's
great news.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
All right?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Well that was shining light eight hundred two nine two
fifty one to fifty in case you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, we have your yea te
and let's talk about Oprah and Gail. They address the
rumors that the two of them are a lesbian couple. Right,
can you believe that you have to address that room
when people just say that about me and beat out?

Speaker 4 (04:27):
But we'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
It's way up, they say in the rooms from Industry
Shade to all of gos ap out send angelus s feeling.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
That yet, yeah, it's way up. I'm here, beat outs.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Here, one names beat out.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I'm here, Anna Frye. Now let's get into the yik
tea and you love this too, by the way. All right, Well,
Melinda fred French gates her new series Moments That Make Us.
She had both Oprah and Gail on together all right,
just to let you know.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Also, one of the things that they talked about is
that they are not together. All right.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Here's what Oprah and Gil had to say about those
lesbian rumors.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
You know, for years, people used to say we were
gay or yeah we were and listen, we we were up.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Against that for forever.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
No, and people still still say.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
And I used to say it, Oh, you've got to
do a show on this because it's hard enough for
me to get a date on Saturday night with.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
People thinking we're gay. Yeah, because if we were gay,
we would tell you. But what I think you've taught society.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yes, there's still some fringe people who maybe say that,
but well you've taught society is that women can have
deep true Well, friendships, I think wow.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, And she talked about when she was leaving Baltimore,
she was about to turn thirty and everybody told us
she was walking into a landmine by moving to Chicago,
and Gail was the only person who said, I think
you can do it.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
It's for weird because it's like.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
You could be friends with the person without being you know,
of the same sect, without having anything as well.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Yeah, I have plenty of friends, and definitely people have
been like, oh, she must be a lesbian, Like, no,
we can have a friend right and be really really
close to them and tell them everything.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
But if they weren't, if they.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Were, you know, in a partnership, I think Oprah was
not a bad person.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
To being you know, tied to.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
And they did say they would tell you if they were.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Another thing that Gail talked about was the fact that
she's not a yes man when it comes to Oprah,
because imagine how many yes men Oprah has around.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
In Oprah's life, everybody is always very flattering and it
is always very agreeable with with things that she says.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
And sometimes I'll go, that's just not true.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Some people often say the thing your hair does not
look good.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
It looks like, yeah, yeah, we both have done that.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah we both yeah, we've both have done that. Oprah
doesn't have a yes man, she has a stead man
and that's good enough.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Oh stop it, you don't think stedman tells it when
her hair doesn't look all right.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
And speaking of husbands, Phedra's ex husband Apollo, got arrested
again after his second wife called the police on him
and accused him of physically abusing her. Now, according to
the police report, because by the way, Apollo is remarried.
I know you know all about this. We discussed this.
They got married last year, she said. After they returned
home from a night out with she got home from

(07:08):
a night out with friends, right, they got into a
heated argument about cheating on each other. And by the way,
there was footage of Apollo with another woman that was
leaked back in March. But anyway, he showed her a
video of her kissing another man and then allegedly they
had a scuffle and she ran out of their home
to get help.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
And so that's what happened.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
It can't be a recidivous abuser, man, that's not cool.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
And he did come and gave the police his side
of the story. He says that during their argument, he
attempted to take her phone, and when he did so,
she curled up on the floor and he grabbed her
phone from him. That's when she ran outside and she
opted out of medical care on the scene and didn't
appear to have any physical bruises or markings. But he
was arrested and tried to with domestic violence and simple
assault and taken to a local jail.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Has he been released, yes, okay.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Yes, So she's saying that things have only gotten better
since the altercation and they've gotten closer, so we'll see
what happens with all of that.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Was a lawyer though, right, yes she is, and she
was a lawyer.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Yeah she No, she's all right now.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
But the two of them, actually, I don't think they
have a terrible relationship. You know, she's a phatires on
married to medicine, and he's gone on there to support her,
so clearly they've both moved on. All right, Well, that
is your YEATI And when we come back, we have
under the radar. These are the stories that are not
necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar. But
we definitely. Oh, we're doing about last night last night.

(08:31):
Sorry I can't read the other board. Well, come back,
we have about last night. And I had a time
last night. I told you guys, I was at this
Fibrard Fighters event. Yes, we'll talk about that. But then
I also went to the comedy club in Brooklyn one night.
I did a lot yesterday and Mayno came out too.

Speaker 7 (08:47):
No.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Tony Rock was the headliner and he was really hilarious.
Ok So everybody was cracking up. Shout out to Ray
Dejon and two seventy five Park, the comedy club in
Brooklyn that he owns.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
It was a packed house. We'll talk about its way up.

Speaker 9 (09:04):
So about last night I went down last night.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I'm here, beat outs here, I'm here. What was your
night like last night?

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Beat that boring?

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I was with my kid and I was cute. Yea,
I was on dad duty.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
How old is she now?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
She's eleven? She just turned eleven a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Okay, what did y'all do?

Speaker 9 (09:24):
Like?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
What did she watch TV? Do you? What do you
do with her?

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Yell at each other?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
You know, she talks to her friends on FaceTime and
talks to me like as if I'm one of them.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
So we did.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
So you're her dad friend.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, like I called my sister daughter because it's like
I never had a little sister. So you know, we
have like a cool back and forth, that kind of dynamic.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Do you guys talk about music?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, she thinks like everything is old is new, Like okay,
you know, so she's like, dad, what do you know
about Michael Jackson. I'm like, what are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Is she like Ice Spice?

Speaker 5 (09:55):
No, we don't listen. We're not an Ice Spice households.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
What what does she listened to in the house.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
She listens to, you know, a lot of things that's
on a radio though for the most part, but she
listens to a lot of oldies.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Okay, all right, Well for me last night, I was
all over the place.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
I was at this night in full bloom event.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Shout out to Coach Kenya, which was all about fibuids
and that is with USA fibruarids centers, right, and again
that's something that really affects women, black women, but women
in general, but black women more.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Than anyone else.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
And randomly enough, I was with Coach Jesse and doctor
armuon yesterday, and they do a lot around Fiveuarids, and
so that interview is going to drop soon as well.
But because it is also five Braids Awareness Month, there's
a lot going on centering that conversation. Then I went
back to Brooklyn and I went to to seventy five Park.
I went to go see Tony Rock at the Comedy Club.

(10:49):
Mano came and met me, and he was so funny.
When I tell you, he tore it down. I think
comedy nights are the most fun things you could do,
like on a date. But it also comedians to about
relationships a lot, So a lot of times things might
hit home when you're sitting there and the comedians talking
about it. Yeah, and then you cheated on her and
everybody's looking at and then they also sometimes there's interactive

(11:11):
parts where it's like, so how long y'all been together?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Wait, y'all not together? Are you together?

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
And then it turns a little awkward, you know, or
are you not supposed to be with her? And so
that's always funny to me too. But I like when
people do crowd work but don't do mean crowd work,
like not pick on people in the audience, but just
have fun with people who want to participate. So shout
out to Tony Rock though. He came home and he
had some really great, great jokes. I know he's got

(11:36):
his special that's going to He signed a deal for
his comedy special.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Tell me this is his first comedy special.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Yeah, his debut comedy special.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
He actually filmed it himself, put it up and then
got a deal offered. So it took it right back down,
but got like a nice lucrative offer for his special,
and it's well deserved. He's really really funny, and I
know that's not easy because people also look at you
as Chris Rock's little brother. But he's definitely funny in
his own right. He has a lot of Will Smith
jokes too. Oh man, by the way, and you're not

(12:04):
allowed to film, so you'll have to see them for yourself.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
You'll wait for that special.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah, it's not over with them, and his brother's still
not happy. All right, Well that is you're about last
night when we come back, tell us a secret eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (12:20):

Anonymous eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

every hour at the top of the hour, from off
of her new Y two K album. So if you
haven't had a chance to hear that, you'll hear a
lot of that here today.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
What is funny?

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Beat usamo too?

Speaker 4 (12:53):
What at all? Right?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Anyways, stop it, but you'll hear that this morning. Right now,
it's a Friday, and it's time to tell us a secret.
Y'all always call up with the best secrets on a Friday.

Speaker 4 (13:03):

Speaker 4 (13:20):
You get you want to tell me? And beat out
a secret, tell.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Us, Hey, I've been cheating them my girl for about
three or four years because you.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
Won't get us together.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Wow, for three or four years. That's a long time
of cheating, is it? But one person or multiple people?

Speaker 8 (13:33):
Oh, it'd be multiple.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Damn, you must be rich.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Uh do you tell the other women that you have
a girlfriend?

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (13:40):
Yeah, first thing, and they don't mind.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Why don't you break up with your girlfriend if she
still won't get her stuff together?

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Why why do you stay with her?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Somebody I really want and I can see they can
do it.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
But I don't think they see they can do it theirselves.

Speaker 8 (13:53):
So I constantly hold on to that wish and hold
out a lot of times.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Is just let me down that I'm still holding on
to it.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Have you had conversations with us?

Speaker 8 (14:01):
Most of them?

Speaker 3 (14:01):
I mean, if you're going to be cheating all the time,
she probably knows too, because it seems like you do
it a lot, right.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
But the thing is, she started it.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
She's the first one that did it, and.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
I just I just did a So now you're in
a cheating competition with your girlfriend.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
Are these women local?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Are they like abroad?

Speaker 5 (14:18):
Driver?

Speaker 8 (14:19):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
He's outside? Are you buying gifts for people. Oh no,
is it like a date or just like a come over?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
I make a donation, but it's do like a gofund man.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
All right, all right, sir, we'll continue with your dysfunction.
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Hanging out of miss Carling. How are you?

Speaker 8 (14:43):
Hey good?

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Do you want to tell me and beat out a secret?

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Please?

Speaker 9 (14:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (14:47):
I do.

Speaker 8 (14:48):
I was about like fifteen sixteen, and the guys is
in the woods and he had like a we had
a couple of we had like a couple of dirty magazine. God,
we're looking at him for a little bit and one
of us was like I could get a well, I
don't know if it was me and one of the
guys it was like, yeah, let's burn it. So we
was in the woods with it. So we decided to
burn the magazine and uh yeah, we burnt down the

(15:10):
old forest.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Oh you burnt imagine?

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yeah, I was doing everything wrong looking at dirty magazines.
Then you set the whole forest on fire. Nobody got injured, right.

Speaker 8 (15:20):
No, nobody got injured. That ain't the cool part. So
we call ourselves trying to put the fire off. The
firelight big, you know, it's real big. So we're like,
you know, were like two blocks away. We try to
go get some old cereal bowls of order to put
the fire off. That didn't work.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I bet it didn't. Did anybody called.

Speaker 8 (15:35):
Nine one one?

Speaker 9 (15:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (15:37):
I mean like it was. It was a big fire.
Like it was like big fire trucks out there trying
to put that going out. Took them like at least
like six hours of put that going out, and nobody
knew it was us.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Why were you and your friends in the middle of
the woods with a playboy.

Speaker 8 (15:49):
I so we used to go back there was like
a ghost town. We used to go back there, you know, dude, boys,
you know, we used to go do bad stuff.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Excuse me that he's some queens. We don't have a forest.
Oh my gosh. So no one never found out it
was you guys.

Speaker 8 (16:04):
Oh the crazy party is We crying the whole time?
Like he's looking at it, like why they crying?

Speaker 5 (16:11):
The firemen were like, y'all drawn.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
He was like what y'all are, like, we're shaking shaky.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Well, I guess that was the end of the dirty
magazines for you.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
Hey, listen, man, I never picked up on the magazines,
all right, With no doubt, no doubts.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Thank god, no one got hurt.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
I want to go camping.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
All right, Well that was tell us a secret eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. In case
you couldn't get through, you can always leave a message
and we can hear it that way. And when we
come back, we have your yee tea. And let's talk
about Cardi B. It feels like she is not liking
some of what people are saying about her, and she
is firing back. We'll tell you what she had to
say on social media and allegedly.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
A song that could be about her. It's way up
the shore.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
She's about to blow the lid ab off this five.
Let's get it.

Speaker 7 (16:57):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yee te I mean, get
the tea, all right?

Speaker 3 (17:01):
His way up, I'm here, beat out his hair, I'm here.
Would you consider yourself a hip hop historian?

Speaker 5 (17:06):
I like to think so.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
A journalist?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (17:09):
All right, Well let's talk about Cardi B versus Ice Spice.
Now we don't know if this is real or fabricated,
but Cardi B people feel like she clapped back at
Ice Spice over what she thinks is shade on the
Y two K album Now. The song bebe Belt leaked
yesterday ahead of the release at midnight, and here is
what Ice Spice says that people on social media were saying,

(17:32):
is about Cardi B.

Speaker 9 (17:34):
And about a wist. Yes, did she pretty, but she
used her face, took up your piece. It was funny
to talk. I took up Please come in cooling, But
I feel like kudas really do this.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
But I'm black.

Speaker 9 (17:48):
You can talk about my hair.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I got money.

Speaker 8 (17:52):
I am a.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Milia there, all right?

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Well, Cardi went on Twitter after that and said, these
bees have absolutely lost their mind. I'm getting all my
look backs on my album though, on each one of
you bees. These bees can't see me in numbers are
a status, y'all had way too much time to catch up.
Can't see me in money, can't see me in real
estate fashion, and can't see me in person either. I'm
not in a rat race with none of you bees,
and I'm gonna show y'all.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Wow, you can't see your Cardi in the bronx. She'd
be out there a lot. I saw at a restaurant
a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
You did, so you do be outside having fun, trying
to be regular, but she's not right.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
It was by.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Herself though, really yeah, by herself, no security to say hi.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
No, I did it.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I was gonna send her a drink, but I was.
I was like, why do you say hi?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
She knows you? I know, No, I don't, but yes.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
And as you know, we are playing Ice Spices White
two k songs off that album at the top of
the hour every hour. All right, now, let's discuss some
Macy Gray the Surreal Life Villa of Secrets. The premiere
was on Wednesday, and this clip ended up going viral
and Macy Gray talking about what she likes to do
to unwind.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Oh God, I just don't do the hippie I live in.
That's hippie kingdom. If I'm kneeling, that's.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Not how I do it.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Like cocaine and couple shots. Wow, get those edibles down
my shoulder and I'm good. Girl, didn't ordered me a pizza.
I'm straight.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
I don't need all that.

Speaker 8 (19:16):
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (19:18):
Yeah, that sounds like that sounds like a weekend.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
In La Cocaine, but she said La is more like
hippie ish and she's not into that.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
I'll stay in New York.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
You never tried a little.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
You know, you did drug me that one time, Angela.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Remember that did not happen.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
You have the pictures.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
First of all, First of all, never done cocaine. Secondly,
you had an edible on New Year's Eve.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
You told me it was okay.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
I don't know how many you had, but one edible
would have been fine. We all have to know our
limits and follow directions. I don't know what you did,
but we did go bowling.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
I woke up with a porn star in a photograph
of me.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
All right, shout out to Sarah Jay all right, well
that is your yea tee. When we come back, we
have under the Radar eight hundred two nine fifty fifty,
just giving out the number because you also can always
leave a message anytime throughout the show for last word
in case you can't get through.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
But under the radar, these are the stories that are
flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
You know, it's an election season, though it is, and
so we cannot just do only under the radar stories.
Everybody was talking about Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are
the going to endorse Kamala Harris, and they did, and
we have that for you.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
It's way up news.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
This in the news that relates to you.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
All right, it's way up. I'm here, beat us here on.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Friday, Happy Friday, beat ut Yo.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
All right.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
The FBI is examining numerous metal fragments that were found
near the stage by Donald Trump, and so what they're
trying to figure out if it was a would be
assassin's bullet or if it was debris that grazed Donald
Trump's head that blooded his right ear. According to the
FBI and a federal law enforcement official, they want to

(20:55):
interview Trump as part of the broader investigation and provide
some insight and more complete record of what his injury is.
There's a lot of unanswered questions.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
You know.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Some people are thinking that it was a bullet. Donald
Trump himself is pushing that theory. Other people are saying debris.

Speaker 5 (21:11):
They're milking it.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Man.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Remember he was rocking the band aid on the air.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Yeah, I remember, and then everybody else is wearing them.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
I was like you and people aren't crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
If anything, he could start a cult after this, all right,
And former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama
have officially endorsed Kamala Harris's bid for president.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
A lot of people were like, why didn't they do
it right away?

Speaker 3 (21:33):
There was a lot of these conversations, but I'm sure
they had their reasons, and I knew they were going
to endorse her. And it could be timing, it could
be a new surge of people who will donate to
her campaign.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
But here is that phone call.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
And they did say that this phone call was an official,
actual call.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
It was not a re enactment. Here's what it sounded like.
Oh your bock together. Oh it's good to hear you both.

Speaker 7 (22:00):
We called to say Michelle and I couldn't be prouder
to endorse you and to do everything we can to
get you through this election and into the old office.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Michelle Brock, this means.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
So much to me, all right, And then Barack Obama
tweeted our earlier this week, Michelle and I called our
friend Kamala Harris. We told her we think she'll make
a fantastic president of the United States and that she
has our full support at this critical moment for our country.
We're going to do everything we can to make sure
she wins in November. We hope you'll join us and
there you go, donate, donate right, all right, Well that

(22:32):
is you're under the radar now, you know. It is
a fryer. And speaking of elections, our Mayor of New
York City, Eric Adams, is going to be joining us
the mixing mayn He's always in the news and I
know people like to hear what he has to say
all over. But there are some people who talk about
his approval ratings. You know, they're kind of low if
you you don't pay attention to these approval ratings. But

(22:53):
his fundraising levels are high. So that's interesting because he's
a party promoter. Stop saying that night life is a
huge part of New York City. I have to tout
the product, and so the mayor should be out supporting
these businesses.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
I will say that small businesses, you know.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
But anyway, we also got the way up mixed partying
at the top of the hour. We told you guys,
Ice Spice White two K her album is out today.
We're playing songs off of her album at the top
of the hour every hour. It's way up way just
like the like.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
They Angela Jean, like they Angela Jean.

Speaker 7 (23:25):
Man.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
She's spilling it all this is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
All right, it's way up. I'm angela Yee beat us
here on a Friday. Listen, just for full transparency. I'm
getting my hair braided. Yes, I couldn't take it anymore. Guys,
my hair is a mess. I just couldn't take it.
I said, Destiny, please come up here and help me out.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
He came in looking like Ryl's song. Now you're looking
like Bo Derek.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
All Right, all right, Bo Derek. That's the woman that
you choose to use when it comes to brave. Oh
my goodness, it's the problem.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
All right.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Well, Speaking of which, Donald Trump, according to his White
House Director of Strategic Communications, she served in that position
while he was in office, Alissa fair Griffin. She was
on What's What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and talked
about a bizarre idea that Kanye Well, that Donald Trump
had that involved Kanye West.

Speaker 8 (24:19):
Alissa, what's the wildest thing that you still cannot believe
came across your desk when you were a special assistant to.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Oh, this is gonna be this is gonna be dark. No,
to be honest, one day, he wanted to have Kanye
West come and do a church service on the White
House lawn to unify the country. And I can think
a few things less unified than that. But we were like,
not the time replace sir. Oh, thank goodness that didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
You know, rappers loved Trump, so we've been on brand.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Rappers also, I love Kamala Okay, to be clear, she
has the best parties they do at the White House.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
I didn't get the invite, all right.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Now, Adele and rich Paul, according to reports that they
are engaged, and according to these reports, he popped the
question last Thursday.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
The Sun says that she said yes, of course to
this four.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Carrot diamond ring. She's wearing it now during an outing
last week. She's pictured it with it on. They said
he planned the whole proposal in her hometown. Everything went
off without a hitch, and they celebrated by facetiming friends
and family to share the big news.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Nice shout out to Rich Paul.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Did you text him and tell how congratulations changed his number? Anya?
All right?

Speaker 3 (25:32):
And you know the Chicago Bear safety Jonathan Owens, who
by the way, is also dating some well, is Simone
Bows's husband, right, He's gonna miss training camp. A couple
of days so that he can make it out to
the twenty twenty four Summer Olympics to watch his wife.
He's gonna miss the practices from July twenty ninth through
August third, and he'll be back on August fourth. They said,

(25:54):
just because we respect the Olympics. That's a big deal.
And he's just supporting the one he loves the most.
And I think that's so cool that he gets to
do that. We welcome that and it's going to be awesome.
Go Usa. That's what the coach had to say.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
If the Bears have a bad season, you know what
they're gonna blame.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Come on, he's missing three practices. You can stream it
man as he should. I mean, that's his wife. She's
in the Olympics and she is definitely gonna represent us.
Well all right, all right, and iHeart Radio, by the way,
is carrying twenty four seven play and play action on
NBC Olympics Radio and NBC Olympics Radio Plus, and that's
going to start this Saturday. The opening and closing ceremonies

(26:31):
will not be available on our digital channels, but if
you follow NBC Olympics Radio or NBC Olympics Radio Plus,
you'll get daily listening guide emails. You'll get push notifications
with key alert and updates.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
iHeart Radio, by the way.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Is the only audio app that you can hear the
Olympic Games live on.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
We let no man. You saw a Snoop Dogg out
there at the at.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
The Olympics torch uh and it looks like he had
a great time doing it, so congratulations to him for that.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
He posted did some than today hashtag follow the dog.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
I remember when Snoop Dogg was one of America's most wanted.
Now he's holding the torch at the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
And by the way, it looks like a giant roll
up pre roll lit up too. By the way, all right,
well that is your yee tee.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
When we come back.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
It's a Friday, so you know there's new music out today.
We've been playing Ice spiced by two Q at the
top of the hour every hour. But we'll tell you
what else is out today too.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
It's way up, whether it's relationship or Korea advice.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
This is what's up his way up.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
But Angela, ye, I'm here, beat outs here, and you
don't give some advice, beat.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Out, I'll do my best.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Okay, well we have Shae on the line. What's up Shay?

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (27:43):
What is your question for asking you today?

Speaker 8 (27:46):
Girl?

Speaker 6 (27:46):
I'm in a long distance relationship with a men in
Jamaica right an over a year and I'm want in Jamaica.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Jamaica, Jamaica.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Oh wow, Jamaica, Jamaica via the country.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
Got it?

Speaker 6 (27:58):
And like, you know, the year I would be at
like eight ten times. This year I only went twice.
And I'm you know, we're starting to lose that you know,
that little fuzz inside and all, like you know, happy side.
So I'm like wondering, like what advice you have for
a person in the long bustance relationships? Like I'm starting
to turn into a raisin up here in New.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
York Ooh and you know what, it gets expensive to
keep going back and forth to Jamaica.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Does he come here?

Speaker 8 (28:23):
What it is?

Speaker 6 (28:24):
No, he has a legal situation, so he's not coming here.
It's just me going there.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
It's also like now I gotta leave everything.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
I mean, if it feels good and fun at first,
but then it's like, man, this.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Is a lot.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
How long do you stay out in Yourmaica for?

Speaker 6 (28:38):
I usually do no shorter than the week. I've been
going like every other month, and I go for a week, okay,
but this year, you know, things change and I only went.
I've won three times this year.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Listen, Logistically, you're saying he has a legal situation so
he can't come here. Well, y'all need to figure that out,
because if he can't come here, I can't be on
you all the time. Would you move to Jamaica or
would you be concerned? Okay, you want to so then
there's a possibility that.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
It could happen.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
About moving right, Yeah, of course, because you know my
mom is here, my whole family's here.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
But do you love him? Is this somebody you see
yourself with? I do We were.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
Talking about marriage that one time, and then we were like,
let's slow down because we got to watch everything else
cross you know progress.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I mean, I think that if you love him, you
guys were talking about marriage. It just seems like there's
some logistical issues right here. Maybe you should set if
you do plan to be with him, maybe set a
date for when you want to move out there to
give yourself that deadline and work backwards from there. And
then you don't and see what happens if you can
make that happen. Because you said you want to move
to Jamaica. You can see yourself being there, you like

(29:44):
when family comes to visit you. But it does take
some planning. Like you said, you have a city job.
You want to make sure when you get there, you
know what you're doing and you're making money and doing
what you have to do for yourself. So maybe just
give yourself a few months to pull it together. Say
maybe it's six months and you guys are both on
the planning stages for you to come out there. So
he has everything ready for you. You have everything ready

(30:05):
for yourself. Wrap up what you need to wrap up here.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
Yeah, because we haven't really been I legal, but I
did the background check and it's over twenty years since
he was supported, So I'm pretty sure that he could
come back. Just came back.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
You said you could come back.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yeah, no, But honestly, it feels like you love him,
you want to be with him, and you just need
to work backwards from there and listen, you could change
your mind, but that gives you a timetable. So now
sometimes you got to give yourself a deadline.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
That's true.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
Thank you so much, for that.

Speaker 8 (30:39):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Well, will you guys get married? Sentis or what's up?

Speaker 4 (30:42):
What's abfinitely I want you to come listen. If it's
in Jamaica, I'll be there. I know that's right, you know, look,
you know I let me so in Jamaica.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
All right, Well, thank you for so much. Thank you
for calling eight hundred fifty one fifty. If you couldn't
get through, you could leave a message. And when we
come back, Mayor Eric Adams is going to be joining us.
He has a lot to say about Kamala Harris, but
also what he has going on in New York City.
We'll be talking about these updates that we've been doing
every month or two.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
It's gonna turn.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
Me up here we go upgain, This is way up
with Angela ye, what's up?

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Way up with Angela?

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yee.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I'm here and Jasmine Brand is here here, and Mayor
Eric Adams is here as well.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
I gotta give me an Eric Brand.

Speaker 9 (31:28):
To a drop for whatever you come up here so
you can play it before they right right right.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
And we just heard some shocking You're getting a tattoo
for the first time, you know, I always.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Want to one, and I want to give one of
my mom. That's nice.

Speaker 7 (31:42):
Yeah, a picture, you know, I have a real picture
before she transitioned, you know where I'm holding her hand,
and I would like.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
To get it like that on your chest. Okay, who
sounds painful, But she's worth it.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
She's worth it.

Speaker 7 (31:54):
She is you know, got it, got to take the pain.
And I'm looking at the brother got all these tattoos.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Yeah, but that's amazing, you know, because I don't have any.
But it's good that you didn't get it younger because
a lot of people regret tattoos as they get Yeah,
they can remove it.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
That's a painful practice as well.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
All right, well let's get to some real topics now,
because I saw you endorsing Kamala Harris, so of course,
you know, first and foremost, we have to discuss that.
Was that a surprise to you at all? Because I
know they kept saying Biden was going to drop out.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Yes, and you know, we should really take our hat off,
because when you reach that level and you're finishing the
have it takes a lot.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
To say I'm going to step away.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
And he's just a real true American when you look
at the tragedies that he has gone through and the
loss of family members and loved ones to still serve
the country and then make the decision that for the
good of the country, he decided to step aside.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
And then, you know, to we.

Speaker 7 (32:50):
Should understand the significant of having VP Harris. Yeah, you know,
because a lot of people get mixed up. Politics is
substantive and it's symbolic. Yes, we have to make sure
the trains run on time, but what symbols are we
putting in place? Like Barack Obama just just opened the
door for all of us. And now you have an
African American woman with Indian heritage. Uh, you know, you're

(33:13):
just going to see this energy, you know, and she's
a soro you know, look.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
At like wait, you see.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
They already brought out all the hotels and yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
So the whole divine nine.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Gonna bena be serious.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
So this is significant.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
And she went to HBC, you too, think about it.

Speaker 7 (33:34):
Think about it, and that that says so much that
because you know, people want to act like our HBC
using it is an inferior product. And so when you
have now the president of the United States, the most
powerful country in the globe, it just sends this symbol.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
So the stock goes.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
Up for HBCU. We produce presidents, and so I'm excited
about it. And and trusts me, she knows how to
turn on the sister girl, and she knows how to
you know, to deal with that whole corporate entity.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
You know. She is a solid, solid of debater.

Speaker 7 (34:10):
And in twenty twenty when she ran for president, I
endorsed her.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Oh wow, right, so this feels good right right with
all I told you?

Speaker 7 (34:17):
So everybody in the prime mayby that was there, I said, no,
this is this is the one that we need to be.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Going with right now.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Jasmine Brand is here with me and we're talking to
Mayor Eric Adams in New York City. People will say
as a VP, and I've seen people say this, she
wasn't present, she wasn't doing anything. And I just want you,
as a person who is in the space of politics,
to discuss or to dispel that, because a lot goes
on behind the scenes, but it's not really supposed to

(34:44):
be the VP in front of the cameras all the time.

Speaker 7 (34:46):
Without a doubt, and what you don't want to do
as a VP is overshadowed. The president you know, so
there's a real balance. And like my dms, all of
my deputy mayors, they say, listen, Erick is the man.
We're going to be here to take the orders and
move the ball down the field and come up with ideas.
But you don't want to as a VP is a

(35:07):
delicate balance, you know, you don't want to overshadow of
the president, but you need to be there to put
the pieces in places. She has done that and some
of the criticism it's like, come on, give me a break. Well,
you know, I don't like the way she laughed, I
don't like the.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
It's ridiculous, like she has a white husband. I don't
know why black people are celebrating this. I've seen that
and that's all of that. You know, let me tell
you something that we have to be honest about it.

Speaker 7 (35:37):
You know, we need to have these real conversations that
some of us wake up.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
And look in the mirror.

Speaker 7 (35:42):
We don't like what they see, and they turn it
on to people that look like them.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
You know.

Speaker 7 (35:47):
Of she she has a real solid credentials. And if
we kick the main thing the main thing and focus
on the topics, there's always a reason not to like someone.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
But let's not be creative.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
Who do you think would be a good VP for her?

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Some good, some good picks out there.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
I don't even want to throw our names because then
all of a sudden, you know, you get on the
whole committee, you know, so I think, but there's some
good folks out there to do so. I don't know
if the if the country is ready for.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
A woman and woman I said the same thing.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
I said, it's already a very misogynistic, sexist place because
there are definitely people who even women, who are like
I don't want a woman to be president. Yeah, some
people didn't want Joe Biden to win. Just in case,
Kamala had to say, like we thought, we knew it.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
That the mayor Eric Adams is here, and we definitely
have a whole lot more to get into. We don't
even have time to get into it with Eric Adams,
but I appreciate him always coming through.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
We have more when we come back. Its way out.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Let's go.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
You are a media maven, right, you never know what
AND's gonna say. What's that? It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
I'm here, Jazz and brand is here and we are
talking to Mayor Eric Adams. You are always in the
news and getting criticized. I know, you know what it's like.
Hajia is just getting nice and tough.

Speaker 7 (37:09):
Now always well, you know, in this business, you do
the best you can and you give it your all.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
And I give it my all every day.

Speaker 7 (37:19):
And I love being mayor of the city, helping people
in the real way. And when I look at some
of the stuff we're doing. When I was with those
brothers up at Ryka's Island and just sitting next to
them as we were rebaptized, and them seeing that, you know, hey,
this brother is sitting next to us, you know, and
saying that, hey, I am you, or when I am

(37:39):
what I'm doing with foster care children. People knew what
was happening the foster care children when they aged out,
we giving them life coaches into the twenty one panic
conetuition and giving them shiphon.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
But when you look at these real things, it just
you know you're here for a reason.

Speaker 7 (37:57):
I'm continuing with David Dinkins started took a thirty years
to get another Maid of Color, and I'm going to
make sure that I deliver as much as possible from
m w B s six billion dollars in m wbs.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
These are unheard of affordable housing. This is a huge situation.
I feel like I'm always defending you to people, so
I want to talk about something you are and it's
nothing wrong with that. Now, people were mad that you
did drink Champs. I saw that too.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
I love drinking.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Those are my guys, didn't drink or smoke or anything.

Speaker 8 (38:25):
On the show.

Speaker 7 (38:25):
I had what kind of you I like t those
of Tito's guys. Yeah, and you know what it's this is,
you know what? You know what the problem is that
I that I watched people believe when you when you're elected,
you have to be and and and and you know

(38:46):
this perfect person. I'm trying to say the folks, no, man,
stop this man Like sometimes I'll be out and I'll
be smoking the cigars and titos and people say, oh,
you can't take a biture like that at the hell
I can I smoke.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
A lot of politicians do that, though They'll be like,
hold on, I can can't have a drink in the picture.

Speaker 7 (39:02):
People want authentic, real people dealing with real problems. I'm
you know, I'm who what you see is what you get.
Because if you don't, if you don't try to hide
who you are, you gotta be worried about somebody hiding
behind the car and say, look, look I got you.
I told you from the beginning. You know, I am
who I am, and I'm the everyday cat like late

(39:24):
at night, DJ would know, sometimes running late at night
and I'll see a barber shop that's closed down in
the back doing some Hennessy and cooler.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Now, I said, let's fall up in there, like no,
you don't know. They welcome us in and we sit
down and engauge. But that's the type of leadership we need.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
I saw you said Kamala Harris should be herself right
because a lot of times though I do feel like
for Kamala Harris though with the stage that she's on
there she gets a lot of unfair critics. He's a
black woman, right, and like you said, also and people
are definitely got all kinds of awful things to say
about her, and so that makes it harder for her

(40:04):
to be who she is.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
But you know what, hades are not going to be
with you no matter how you.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
Change, because it's that angry black woman Trump, So you
can't even like she's angry, like even how Donald Trump.

Speaker 4 (40:16):
You see, he's so nervous. He does not want to
bang her. He's saying the worst things. You know, you
call her dumb. And I'm like, sir, if anybody you
have no reason, if anything.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
He's going to energize folks, Yes, because.

Speaker 7 (40:30):
When you what listen, Like I said, she could do
the sister girl thing, and she could go and do
the intellectual things. We wear many hats, and that's what
we need. If you're going to go and to deal
with real problems, you have to be authentic about it.
And that's what I'm hoping. I'm hoping whoever comes after me,

(40:51):
whoever falls into these other spots, corporate spots, don't abandon
who you are. You know, for so many years we
had to talk to only walked differently. We didn't want
to be ourselves. But other folks can be themselves. Like
the head of Goldman Sachs.

Speaker 5 (41:07):
He's a DJ.

Speaker 7 (41:10):
Yeah, he's a DJ DJ Well, I don't know, but
he's comfortable enough in his skin to say, I want
to do what I like. Why do we have to
abandon what we like because we want to fit in Listen,
I became the mayor. I didn't change from the day
I ran for office to who I am. I'm the

(41:32):
same person.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
One thing I will say one of my friends is
like the problem with the mayor is that he has
a big ego. That's when I heard somebody, yes, not
expect that for a moment that people expected us not to.

Speaker 7 (41:49):
You better have a big ego to wake up every
day and deal with two hundred and seven thousand migrancy.
Because in New Yorker's folks who stepped in you all
the time. I believe mother told me as a job,
believe in.

Speaker 4 (42:01):
Yourself that right now you're going to get that tattoo.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
On your chest.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Yes, yes, Oh my gosh, we have to see this.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
Listen if you cry or something, you know, let it out.
Oh gosh. All right, well hopefully you don't say this
hurts too much. I can't finish.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
All right, Adam, you can watch that full interview on
my YouTube channel Way Up with You And when we
come back, you guys have the last word.

Speaker 2 (42:30):

Speaker 8 (42:34):

Speaker 2 (42:36):

Speaker 3 (42:56):

say about music, but that's why it's all relative to.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
You know, we all like different things.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
It's all good and different people, right, But you want
to make sure that everybody knows. We talked about Lil
Wayne today and you have him on your top five.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
Yeah, he's He's in a conversation this year for one
of the best raptors of the year.

Speaker 5 (43:15):
So I like Little Wing's output so far.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Who else is in the conversation for the year.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
I think Ji d Jade is killing it. Of course
Kendrick Lamar and you know, we'll wait and see what
the rest of the.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Year has to bel I feel like everyone's going to
say Kendrick Lamar because of what he did with this battle.

Speaker 4 (43:31):
Yes, he's definitely it was pretty legendary. All right.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Well, again, thank you to Mayor Eric Adams for joining us.
You know it's not going to be his last time
up here. So whenever y'all have questions, you could always
send them to me and I will ask him. You see,
I asked him about his ego and he said, yeah,
it is what it is. And of course, you guys
have a really safe weekend. We'll be back on Monday.
This show is all about you, so you have the
last word.

Speaker 6 (43:55):
Is that I've been hiding that I'm regulated from my
boyfriend the longest.

Speaker 8 (44:01):
I've actually been scared to tell him because I don't
know how he's going to react to it.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
And yeah, hopefully everycently I ended up telling.

Speaker 8 (44:07):
Him and his reaction.

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
