Ye, all right, it's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here,
my BRF, my best rapper friend, lads here. Yes, I
voted early. I'm going today election day.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Well, I think you have to go tomorrow. I don't
know if can you go today now?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I think early voting is over and you got it
depending on where you are, and you have to go
tomorrow because I know, I think Sunday was the last
day for early voting in New York.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Shut up, you're voting for Obama.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Well I'll tell you who Obama's voting for, and then
you can vote for who he's voting for.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
But yeah, so election day is tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
So you guys, make sure that you're aware of what's
on the ballot. You can go to when we all
vote and plan it out. I think it's backslash plan
so you can see what's on that ballot. Because I
looked at the ballot before I went, so I made
sure that I knew what was on there, so I
just skimmed right through it. But anyway, we got a
lot going on today. We'll be talking about that. And
of course, over the weekend, so much went down rest

(01:06):
in peace to Quincy Jones a legend.

Mano is here, and on a Monday, it's time to
shine a light. And today I want to shine a
light on somebody who is my friend in real life.
It's his birthday today, my guy, Scottie Lee. Scott Lee
is the studio manager of an engine Room Audio, which
is where we actually record the Lip Service podcast. And

(01:54):
I've known him since I was I'm gonna say, in
high school. He actually went to college with my ex boyfriend.
That's how we first met. But he and I stayed
friends during all this time. And you know, while I
was still in school, he was managing at Character Music.
That's where he worked with artists like Tyresee, SWV, Johnny
gil B two qu PD, Pablo Faith Evans and then

(02:17):
opened his own studio.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
And so I just want to shout out to Scotti.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
He actually was the first person who got me working
for real in the music business.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
When I was in college.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
He suggested me for an internship with Wu Tang Management,
and then I went on to work at Wu Tang
Management and after that to work for Wou Tang Corporation.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And we've always been friends since then.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
And as soon as he opened his own studio, I've
been doing a lot of events there.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Just love to meet good people early on in life
and then stay friends with them forever. All right, Now,
who do you guys want to shine a light on?
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a number, Aliz,
Who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I want to shine a light on my sup Amber, Amber. Okay,
tell us about Amber.

Speaker 7 (02:58):
When you want to thank Hill and my mom after
she found out you had to answer, Oh, she's.

Speaker 8 (03:03):
Always been a back part in our family.

Speaker 9 (03:04):
That through all her home kancas you.

Speaker 8 (03:06):
Know, and now she works with children with mat that
she can steal the Jillian and our family cancer did
not play her at all.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh well, shout out to Amber and to your whole family.
And I know Thanksgiving probably is not an easy time
for y'all having to think about that too. Yeah, all right, Well,
shout out to Amber for being a blessing to others
as well, and to you.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Thank you, all right, thank you, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Well that was shine a light eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty just in case you couldn't
get through. And when we come back, we have your eat.
And let's started off with Little Wayne. He had this
Little Louisiana Fest over the weekend, and we'll tell you
a lot of things that went down, a nice Hot
Boys reunion, but also he had some things to say
about the Super Bowl. It's way up, they say in

(03:53):
the rooms from industry shade.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
To all of gosp out send Angelas feeling that.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
EyeT all right as way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Yee, I'm here, my guy, Mana is here May Good morning,
good morning, and let's get into some over the weekend activities.
So Lil Wayne and the Hot Boys have reunited at
Little Louisiana Fest. They haven't been together on stage in
over fifteen years, so that's huge turk BG Juvenile. It

(04:22):
was the first time the four of them have been
on that stage together in such a long time.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
And here is.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
We can start with that with Okay, Previously BIGI has
said that this is actually going to kick off a tour.
Here is what BIGI had to say previously on stage
was second at the man, we.

Speaker 10 (04:41):
Know we will come out and start off the official
you know, you know it'll be on to us like
even do will.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Feel I feel about let's see.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
You gotta put it to the side.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Business and business, right, God beg stand on none but
Bennis all right.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
And I saw Jermain Dupree had went on X and
commented that Louisiana Fest and said, I can't believe Drake missed.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
That couldn't have been me.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
And he was at the Toronto Raptors game against the
Sacramento King So they said, this man is the ambassador
for the Raptors. Tonight was a special knight for his city.
The show was just fine without him, right, So I was.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
On the impression that he kind of missed something. So
but it was a he has been to Louisiana shows before, right.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, I think he's been to the festival, and so
has Nikki liked previously.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
So this was more or less like a Hot Boys reunion.
He's not a part of the Hot.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I don't know that he had to be there for that,
right right.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Indeed, Nicky wasn't dead neither though.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Right yeah, I don't believe that she was there, but
she's been there before, so got it.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
You know, I don't think that that's that big of
a deal. Now.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
The other thing that happened that was a big deal
was Lil Wayne got a key to the city. So
Mayor Cantrell was there, and in addition, master P was
there and they've done some special things for him that
are huge.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Here's what happened on stage with master P and the Mayor.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I know y'all seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Speaker 9 (06:05):
Deverworth six off the nails for you, We saw the
Nola Walker Fame.

Speaker 10 (06:09):
You're hurt. We about the chef the city down, dever
Worth's six and selves.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
It's gonna be Bill Wayne Day.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
All right, So now I got his own Day, got
a key to the city. He's gonna be the first
person on the Nola Walk of fame, all big deals,
but one thing that he still is upset about is
the fact that super Bowl not performing at the super Bowl,
and he definitely expressed that opinion while he was on stage.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
I want to be on stage for the super Bowl
one day in front of my mom, and I.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Worked my ass off to get that position and it
was ripped away from me.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
But this movement right here, they can't take that.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
People are thinking that, Okay, Wayne.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I saw a lot of comments like enough with the
pity party, all right, like let's move on. You should
have congratulate lady Kendrick. You know, he could have came
out maybe.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I don't know. It doesn't seem like that's gonna happen
anymore right.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Now, right right, I don't think it's swam.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, all right now.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Young Doug made his first public requests about who he
would like to collaborate with. He went on X and said, wallam,
let's drop one of these rats, Peter, and we know
who that is.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
What William says goes.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
It's funny because you know, people thought that he didn't
mess with Gunna, but it looks like he does. I
guess I saw people in the comments like somebody translate
this for me, which this is even mean, but you
know what it is.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
All right, So.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
I guess we'll see.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
And little baby, you know, little baby is Wallam. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
So I don't know what's about to happen, but he's
allowed to talk to Gunna. He can work with Gunna. Now,
he could do something with a little baby. I don't
know what's about to happen, but we're all paying attention.
All right, Well that is your Yet when we come back,
we have about last night.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
That's where we just go. That's what we did last night.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I had a very active weekend, as I know you
did too, because you were drinking an energy drink.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Wow, it's way up.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
So about last night I went down.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Ye, I'm here,
and of course my guy Maino is in the building. Yeah, yeah,
you are here. And let's get into what we did
last night. What did you do over the weekend?

Speaker 6 (08:26):
I was outside all weekend. I'm gonna be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah, be honest.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
I was outside last night.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Shout out to everybody whose birthday it was yesterday, Marissa
and mel my man get money, dirt. I had to
pass through all those birthday parties. You know, we was
just outside.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Okay, I love that for you. Well, I had a
very active weekend.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
First of all, Friday, I did some stuff with Mercer
and Prince in my home and then I went to
the next game. They were playing the Chicago Bulls. It
was a very exciting game because we were winning and
then all of a sudden after the second half, I'm like,
what happened? But fortunately we did end up winning the game.
So shout out to our Brooklyn Nets. I think we
lost on Sunday though, to the Pistons. Don't play where

(09:10):
do you live? I'm from Brooklyn, Okay, then ask you
that you know.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Calm it down. Okay, Okay, calm it down?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Okay, all right, And so did that and then after
the game. The other thing I did over the weekend was,
you know, I've been really working hard on trying to
clear out and move and so I've been trying to
get rid of stuff. I have a lot of people
coming to my house like get us. I have so
much clas I did.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
I did that yesterday ten bags of clothes. Yesterday. I
spent most of my morning yesterday me and my son
ten bags of clothes.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
You have a ridiculous I've never seen you wear the
same thing twice.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Stop it.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
You have everything you have on every day you come
in here with something else.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
I've wore, I've worn stuff.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I'm gonna tell you, he's fancy.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
He got buckles and zippers on the bottom of his pants,
not just one of the others.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
They caught that detail. I love that for you.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
And then the other thing I did was I watched
Megan the Stallion's documentary in her own words.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Where is that?

Speaker 2 (10:14):
It's on Prime? Yes, on Prime, it's out right now.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Man, there's some real subtle things in that documentary that
really give you some insight into what she was feeling.
There's a moment where she wanted to get these Jalapanio
chips really bad, and it's just like she just had
like a bit of a breakdown because it's a lot
to go through, losing her mom who was like her
manager and her mentor, and then just being around people,

(10:40):
then really losing her best friend during a time of
getting shot in her foot.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
She lied on her box.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I like, well, not understand, what do you mean she.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
Lied on her box? What she lied on it?

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Anyway, And there's a lot of clips of people having
very negative things to say about her, and they really
play that, like academics, Joe Button, like everybody who was
going in on her and calling her a liar and
saying she didn't get shot and saying all kinds of things.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
So anyway, so that's what I did. All right.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Well, when we come back, you know what time it is.
Tell us a secret. Eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty is a number.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Call us up. Any secret that you have.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
He's no judgment. Please don't do that.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
This is a no judgment zone.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Okay, have you ever a light on your what'snausage?

Speaker 1 (11:29):
No?

Speaker 10 (11:30):
Stop?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
All right, eight hundred fifty one fifty, call us up.
Tell us a secret. It's way up into no judgment.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Oh, this is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
His way up at Angela? Gee, I'm here, My guy
Mana is here.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
I got a secret. You got a secret.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
I got plenty.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Okay, you groundhogging today.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
Stop playing.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
You gotta go hurry up. Call us up.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty. You get to
remain anonymous, no judgment. Hey, not in this color what's
your secret?

Speaker 9 (12:02):
Hey, I lost my opportunity in the church and something
that I'll never forget, She'll never forget.

Speaker 11 (12:07):
You know.

Speaker 9 (12:08):
I took a lot of prayer and repents about it,
but you know I talked about it and I happened
like about fourteen fifteen years ago, sixteen years old.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
We're in the church like an appew or confessional.

Speaker 9 (12:17):
Nah nah, upstairs in the arm in the Sunday school room,
on the table.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
In the Sunday school rooms. Right that did anybody yell out?

Speaker 6 (12:28):
Oh God, oh God?

Speaker 12 (12:29):
Oh no?

Speaker 9 (12:30):
It was nothing but a whole lot of praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, the Lord.

Speaker 9 (12:34):
You know, you got to keep it simple and hold.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
You Thank God. I want to do it.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
God is good, God Christ.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Who was she to you though? Was it like a girlfriend?

Speaker 9 (12:47):
Yeah? She was like my girlfriend, know what I'm saying.
I woke up one morning and she was she picked me.
She was like brangle rubber the church and I was like,
for what? And then you know what she told me?
Like Okay, then that's what it was.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
Was she in the choir man?

Speaker 9 (13:00):
I mean no, she wasn't even quiet. You probably listening,
But yo, Booberry, I still think about you on their day.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
I'm always I like that.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Bang, thank you for calling a hand on him? It
is calling. How about you? Good? You want to tell
me a manu a secret? You know? He don't judge.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
I went on vacation with my ex and I told
my new girl I was with my family.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Did she post anything?

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Nah?

Speaker 9 (13:27):
I make sure, thanks for nothing.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Does she have a girlfriend? I mean a boyfriend too,
like somebody else?

Speaker 8 (13:32):
Oh hope she don't.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
But oh you should call.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
You should call back when you put you on your ex,
when you put your ex and your new girl together.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
When we ask you this, so you still like your ex?

Speaker 13 (13:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (13:45):
You in love with her yet?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
So why would y'all together?

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Long story?

Speaker 13 (13:51):
I don't want to talk about that.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
You cheated.

Speaker 6 (13:55):
I don' want talk about it.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
You had a baby by somebody else? Okay, all right,
well thank you for sharing. All right?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred and
two nine two fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't
get through, you could still leave a message and tell
us a secret for last word.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
And when we come back.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Elections are coming up and Carti b and Elon Musk
got into it on social media. Man I want to
say he is doing a lot on x the most.
They said he has like three thousand posts in support
of Trump. It's insane, all right, but we'll tell you
what he said to Cardi B and how she responded.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
It's way up shore.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
She's about to blow the led abof this bot. Let's
get it. Angela's feeling that. Ye te come and get
the tea.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here, My guy
Mana is here.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
No, let's spill that, ye t SNL.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
What a reason to watch SNL because Kamala Harris made
a surprise appearance alongside Maya Rudolph and oh, I mean
not saying okay, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
We're starting with that. And so here is what that
sounded like.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
You can see that Maya Rudolph is looking into a mirror,
but the marria is actually Kamala Harris.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Nice to see you, Kamala. It is nice to see you, Kamala.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
And I'm just here to remind you you got this
because you can do something your opponent cannot do.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
You can open doors. I don't really laugh like that,
do I A.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Little bit?

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Kamala take my Pamela the American people want to stop
the chaos.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
And end the DRAMAA. It was cute. People loved it.
It was a good sketch.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
And it's good that she can make fun of her
own laugh because one thing that people always like have
an issue with is how she laughs, which is so
stupid to me, Joe.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
In addition to that, just a deeper dive.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
I was telling you, guys that Maya Rudolph, who plays
Kamala Harris all the time on SML as Many Ripperton's daughter.

Speaker 6 (15:52):
You didn't know that I liked in.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
She's fun.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah, she's hilarious, all right now, Carti, in the meantime,
was talking for Kamala Harris at a rally and there
were some issues. I guess the teleprompter wasn't working. That
happened to me recently, and so she had to get
her notes from her phone, and she got a little
nervous because she couldn't read her speech off the teleprompter,
which can happen when you're prepared.

Speaker 6 (16:16):
You know what you're about to say.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
You don't want to get tongue tied when you get
up there. And so here is some of Cardi's speech.

Speaker 11 (16:22):
I'm not giving Donald Trump a second chance. I'm not
taking any chances with my future and not damn sure
and taking no chances with the future of my children.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
On three of them, I'm with Kamala. I believe in
her and America.

Speaker 11 (16:38):
I believe in you to turn out on sustage.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Anytime I tried a freestyle without like my little notes,
I'll forget things you might you know, so I think
you don't want to mess up either on such a
big stage. You write your notes ahead of time and
then have them there. But Elon Musk went on X
his platform that he owns that he's definitely giving us
a lot of feeding information too, and said another puppet
who can't even talk without being fed the words. The

(17:03):
Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy, which is
crazy because and that means that Republican rallies, if they're
reading off of a teleprompter, you should have that same
energy for them.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Cardi B responded, I'm not a puppet, Eline.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I'm a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to
work their ass off to provide for me.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
I'm a product of welfare. I'm a product of Section eight.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm a product of poverty and I'm a product of
what happens when the system is set up against you.
But you don't know nothing about that. You don't know
not one thing about the American struggle. PS fix my algorithm,
fix mine too, while you're at it.

Speaker 6 (17:32):
Because it was a light check.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, that was a good check, all right, And now
do we have time for this? Lastly, let's talk about
cash Doll Cash Dot was on Poor Minds and she
was talking about Tracy t. They did break up, unfortunately,
and she said her heart is broken.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Here's what she had to say.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
So I'm not sacking like, I don't give a fure.

Speaker 13 (17:51):
I'm hurt.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
I thought that that was going to be it.

Speaker 10 (17:54):
I wouldn't even have the kids.

Speaker 7 (17:56):
My heart gaate broken to I'm human like you.

Speaker 13 (17:59):
It's time to go on, you know. And it's no
hard feelings.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
All right, Well, listen, keeping it real. She's heartbroken. She
thought they would be together. Maybe she wouldn't have done
that if she would have known it wasn't going to
work out, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Kids are adorable,
so hopefully they can cope. Heer in and she's got
to move on. That's a practical way to think. That's
my girl cash doll. All right, well that is your
eet when we come back. We have under the radar.

(18:22):
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They're flying under the radar, but you definitely need to
know about them anyway, as we are all getting ready
for election day.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Tomorrow is the deadline. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
News.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here,
my guy manos here.

Speaker 6 (18:43):
No man.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
And by the way, and this under the radar story,
you are horrified that TGI Fridays has filed for bankruptcy.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
You really like Fridays. I used to love that place,
you know what.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
And they also had veggie burgers too, which I actually
really enjoyed. But they said in a statement that fall
out from the COVID pandemic was the primaryrry driver of
their financial challenges, and they will use the Chapter eleven
process to explore strategic alternatives to ensure the long term
viability of the brand. So bankruptcy doesn't always mean that
they won't remain anymore. Sometimes it's a restructuring situation. But

(19:14):
you know it started in nineteen sixty five in Manhattan,
did you know that?

Speaker 6 (19:17):
I know that.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
So this one over here is the first one. Which
one is one right here in Times Square not too
far from here. Yeah, And they said it was a
place for singles to meet each other. And it was
one of the first major change to popularize the happy
hour concept.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Right, we love a happy hour, not a happy ending mano.
All Right, Now, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are going
to be holding final campaigns and they're getting ready for
the battleground states and they have focused their efforts there.
There are three Midwestern battlegrounds aka the Blue Wall. These
are the manufacturing and union heavy states. That's Pennsylvania, Michigan,

(19:55):
and Wisconsin. They used to be more reliably democratic, but
they have shift did also the four sun Belt battlegrounds.
Those are states with growing populations like Arizona, Nevada, and
North Carolina and Georgia, places like that. All right, and
one vote in and Nebraska is a battleground as well.

(20:15):
So they're doing their last pitches right now.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
I saw that.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Donald Trump was on ABC News yesterday and he said
he talked about whether or not he could potentially lose,
and he said, I guess I could, but I think
I have a pretty substantially But you could say, yeah,
you could lose. Bad things could happen. You know, things happen,
but it's going to be interesting. So he's saying if
he loses, bad things could potentially happen. Not sure what

(20:41):
exactly that means, but again, tomorrow is your last chance
to vote, so please get out there and make it happen.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
I voted early. I went on Saturday.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
And Captain vote last.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
You know, some people like to vote on election day.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Sonya was up here on Fighting and she said she's
voting tomorrow on election days.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Exciting for her to be able to do that.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
I actually have to work all day and night tomorrow,
so I won't have that opportunity. And I'm glad I
got it out the way because anything could happen. Vote
for don't play yourself. I'm just asking, all right, listeners, know.

Speaker 6 (21:15):
Who you vot.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
I voted for Kamala Harris. I have no problem saying that,
no drama. I have no problem. Give me your Pamela
so I can know who you voted for. I don't
know who you're voting for man, all right anyway, that
is you're under the radar again. Election day is tomorrow.
We are not playing no games, you know, even looking

(21:38):
at rights, women's rights and rights to do what they
need to do and want to do for their own body.
A pregnant Texas teenager died after three separate visits to
an emergency room to get care in an incident that
is talking also about the loss of abortion rights in
the United States. She had stepped throat on her first visit,
and she has sharp abdominal cramps and you know, hospital

(21:59):
did not invent mitigate that, according to reporting, and then
she was moved to intensive care and she died after
suffering organ failure. They said her lips aren blue and dusky,
and so they said, there's a lot of fair and
uncertainty and doctors over what treatments may or may not
be considered a crime. And that's why this has had
a devastating effect on women who need health care, because

(22:21):
doctors don't know if they're committing a crime if a
woman's life is in danger.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
So and then talking about punishing women for doing.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
That and doctors, all right, well, that is your yeats
under the radar, and when we come back, we have
the way Up mix at the top of the hour
plus we'll talk more, giving you all the details that
you need because things are happening minute by minutes on
this final day before the election.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Is way up.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Way She's like to talk like they Angela Jane, like
they Angela Jeane.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
It's way up with the Angela Yee, I'm here, my
guy Mano is here now, and let's start at this.
Yet we should have done this earlier, saying we did
at the beginning of the show. But rest in peace
to Quincy Jones ninety one years old.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
That's life right there.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
I mean Michael Jackson thriller. You know, he also made
We Are the World. He's the one that brought everybody
together for that.

Speaker 6 (23:14):
Did you watch that documentary?

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Of course, Nice, I actually know how to do We
Are the World in sign language.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
We had to learn that in so many times.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
He won twenty eight Grammy Awards throughout his career, and
so again a lot of people were on social media
just basically giving their condolences.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Will Smith.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Quincy Jones is the true definition of a mentor, our father,
and a friend. He pointed me toward the greatest parts
of myself. He defended me, He nurtured me, he encouraged me.
A cool Jay said, you were a father and example
at a time when I truly needed a father and example,
mentor role model. King, you gave me opportunities and shared wisdom.
Music would not be music without you. Tyler Perry iced

(23:53):
Tea Viola Davis the weekend. I mean, everybody was giving
their condolences and well deserved. Who has done it like
Quincy Jones. He's definitely a one of one, Like I
don't know anybody on the level of a Quincy Jones
that we can point Jones, Yes, our condolences to his
family member, his son QT three.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
He did beat that series m H.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
But also Cadata Rashida Jones. Ye okay, yes, all of
that all right. Eddie Murphy is about to be playing
George Clinton and an untitled bio pic and it's gonna
be for Amazon MGM Studios.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
That's exciting. The script is being written right now.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
It was initiated by Catherine Davis, who was a lifelong
George Clinton fan, who brought the idea to Eddie Murphy,
so shout out to them. It's based on his memoir
Brothers b Yo, Like George, ain't that funking kind of
hard on you? That is the book that it's based
on the untold story of the influential pioneer Funk and
his tumultuous journey to founding musical collective Parliament Funkadelic. They

(24:58):
actually performed at my college one year.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
I mean, listen, one thing about you. You've you've worked
everywhere and everything.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
That's the I mean, that's nothing but day.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
And can I just say Wednesday when they performed at
my college, that was like the best sprinkling we ever
had because they literally performed for like.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Six hours NonStop.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Wow, and they do not play you know, you don't
have to perform that long. But it was like a
full day, so much fun. So yes, I'm excited to
see that documentary. All right, Well, Drake and DeMar DeRozan.
Apparently Drake has some real issues with him and taunted
him during a game between the Toronto Raptors and the
Sacramento Kings. Of course, the mart de Rozan played for

(25:38):
many years in Toronto and currently plays for the Kings.
Made his first appearance in Canada over the weekend since
he appeared in Kendred's Not Like Us video, and he
also was on stage during the pop Out concert as well.
And you know, Drake was there and he had some
things to say on the Canadian Sports Network TSN.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Unfortunately playing this booth tonight. But it is where you
know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Yes, if you ever put up a Derosan banner about
Blo up there and pull it down myself, that's answer question.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Is that what you're gonna ask?

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Wow, Well, he really don't like him for him being
with Kenjack.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
And you can see and I saw this went viral.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
As DeMar was walking off, you can see Drake mouthing
the words f out of here Vagina and Demart Derosen
did respond, here's what he said.

Speaker 9 (26:27):
He's gonna have a long way to climb to take
it down, so I tell him good luck.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
This is crazy, all of this beef.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
And by the way, I told you guys that Detroit
Pistons beat the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. But one thing
they did have to do was take the subway. The
New York City Marathon happened over the weekend, so a
lot of street closures. People were not going to be
able to move anywhere. So the Detroit Pistons really yeah,
so they posted themselves on the train and the New
York City Marathon responded, are bad?

Speaker 3 (26:58):
All right?

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Well that is your yet And when we come back,
it's a Monday. We haven't done this since so long
because Mano barely comes in.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
Y' don't have me here like monday, man.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Ov, shine, let's get ready for that. We need this
mainnovation because tomorrow is election day. All right, it's way up.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
We're about to do this one of the means to
famous women in radio audio. We're talking about Angela. Ye,
you're way up with Angela. Ye, please believe that.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yes, it's way up with Angela.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I'm here on a Monday, on a critical Monday, the
last day before the elections. All right, so Mana, we
need your wares of wisdom today. We need some mainn ovation.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
No, man today made ovation. I was like, what accent
with hesitation any situation?

Speaker 4 (27:43):
No. Today, I feel like people only respect action, they
only respect motion. You have to create value for yourself.
Right as I look around and see a lot of
so called networking taking pictures with people is not going
to bring you the motion that you nique that you're
looking for. People want to be a part of something,
so you gotta like everybody wants to be somebody, and

(28:07):
we rightfully should, but you gotta you gotta provide the
action for yourself because people want to buy into things
that's already moving. Nobody's going to support you. I mean,
the people that you want to support you early on
is probably won't. And so they actually see you get
your your will turning and they'll jump. And that's just

(28:28):
what it is, right, So live by action motion is
what people respect. So create your own value, get the
moving because nobody gonna come save your baby.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Yeah no, you're absolutely right about that.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
And sometimes we can be offended that people don't want
to be part of things when you're building and you know.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
You isn't in the gym.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, but that's just they won't, you know, maybe your
significant other, maybe your family hopefully, but even then you
know expectations.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
That's a fact.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Well it hurts you in the end, But when they
have that motion and you can be like, okay, I
need X, Y and Z still take it.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
They'll come to you right because you and then you'll
know when your thing is moving, because it's like then
you'll see the difference.

Speaker 6 (29:13):
In the way people deal with you. But you got
to create your emotion yourself.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Know who your who, your friends in day ones are
versus your acquaintances taking pictures.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
What a bunch of rappers is not just gonna you know,
bring you the motion that you're looking.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
For to stop it.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Man, when you said motion and people only respect action,
I thought you were going to say get slapped or something.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
None of that.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
No, no, all right, well that is and when we
come back, it's asking.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Ye and of course you heard the award winning advice
giver maker right here right now. But when we come back,
ask you any question that you have. We're here to help.
It's way up, whether.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
It's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
This is what's tapp is the way you put into
the Yee, I'm here, my guy made I was here. Okay,
that's right, and it's time for asking. I'm with my
award winning advice giving being best rapper friend.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
May know we have Jordan on the line. Hey Jordan, Hey,
what's going on?

Speaker 12 (30:10):
Guys?

Speaker 3 (30:10):
What up Jordan? Jor what's your question today? For asking you.

Speaker 14 (30:15):
So, I guess I'm kind of at like a stand
still with my girl. So when it comes to the
voting tomorrow, she doesn't want to vote for Trump, but
she also is not feeling tomorrow she wants to independence.
Voting independent is like a waste of the vote. So
to me, I'm like, I'm going to probably vote Democrat
just just to try to go against Trump.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Right, because it could end up splitting things.

Speaker 14 (30:38):
So and then she's kind of like at awes of
me because she doesn't really fully like or agree with
some stuff with the Democratic Party. She's kind of just
like mad at me for voting Democrat. And then I'm
kind of like looking at her, like, why are you
gonna vote dependent?

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Though I understand feeling like are we aligned?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Because morals and values are important in a relationship, right,
I feel like.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
But you all so got to respect somebody else's choice, yeah,
and how they feel about things, because everybody's not going
to see the see things the same way you wanna
see them, and that's.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
The differences in people.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
You've got to respect where somebody else is coming from.
You can't force her to see it your way.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
You can tell her, you know, and give her give.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
As much information as possible, Well she can, She's going
to only make the decision that she wants to make
for her.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
And you know what I think is important too, though
I will say this asking somebody why, because if you
can't explain what you're doing, why you're doing, and understand
what that means and the impact that that has, you know,
that is sometimes can be a red flag. I have
a friend who is like, she's breaking up with her
man because his reason for not wanting to vote for

(31:46):
comments because he doesn't want an Indian woman in the
White House. That was his whole explanation of why, you know,
And so I.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
That's some people don't.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, so that matters.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
I think the why matters if for her she's like, look,
I don't like either one of these candidates, but I
do in particular like this candidate a lot, and being
able to have a conversation that's not emotional. That's like, look,
I respect whatever it is that you decide to do,
but I just want to let you know that when
you know you're taking that vote away.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
That does matter.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Because these people have no chance of winning who are
on the ballot.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
It's going to be between these two.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
I'm on the ballot. You could throw something over.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
There for me, but again, you know, just good luck
Jordan with that, and just understand if somebody can give
you an explanation of why they're doing it. You can't
make somebody look at things your way, but what you
can do is give them the information and then maybe
she has a respectful reason why and you could be like, okay,
we don't agree.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
At least you're not voting for Trump.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
All right, Well, thank you for calling I thank you
all right, But that was ask ye eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one to fifty. If you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message and we'll answer your question
that way. And when we come back, we want to
ask you, guys. Tomorrow is election day. It's your last
opportunity to vote. How do you feel about politics in
your relationship? It could be the person's family or maybe
your significant other. And you don't agree on who you

(33:05):
want to be in office and the reasons why. We
want to hear how you've handled it. Eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty call us up.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
If you want to know my name, way up with.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Hiss?

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Way up at Angela?

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yee. I'm here with my guy Mano, and we're talking
about voting. And if you can date somebody who does
not have the same political party or the same opinions
or even like the same values that you do.

Speaker 6 (33:31):
If you're thatad opposite of that person, can you still
date them?

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Could you date somebody who didn't vote along your lines?

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Yeah? I can date them.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
Could you be with them?

Speaker 6 (33:41):
Why don't you look at me like that them that's
being with them?

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Could you see yourself like in a relationship though with
somebody who is like.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
It would be relationship ish.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Okay, I'm gonna keep it real, like I think those
conversations will be.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
It would be difficult for me.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
I had to work with somebody before who was like
a crazy Trump supporter, And when I tell you, it
used to get on my nerves because it kind of
reflects in a person's character, right right right right, you know,
and you're like, what is wrong with you? And the
person was like very misogynistic. I was like, I can't
do this. So I guess it matters how you show

(34:17):
your support for our candidate too.

Speaker 6 (34:19):
But let's see slightly a reflection of who you are.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah, well, let's see what you guys think.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Eight hundred and two ninet two fifty one fifty Daysia,
what do you think?

Speaker 8 (34:27):
I always say I was looking to the politics unless
somebody's vote for some man he's a black man. But
I got into a situation where a man wants to
vote for Trump, so I will say, and I kind
of just did not a response. I called my mom
and she was like, he should vote for whoever he wants, right, what.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
If he checks all your boxes like a good guy,
like he keeps you in your soft error.

Speaker 9 (34:50):
But exactly what it is.

Speaker 8 (34:52):
He does everything but the Trump thing. I was like, what?
And then it was more so because, like you say,
it's two people. You have to vote for the PEO
people that matter. Hey, he thinks me not gonna vote
Camilla because of.

Speaker 13 (35:03):
The gun laws.

Speaker 8 (35:04):
I tried to inform him because I feel like he
was more indignorant to the fact, but he still lodging
at all.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Okay, you're right about that though. There's so much false
information it's overwhelming.

Speaker 8 (35:15):
But I guess I can force him to so Hey,
all right.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Well, thank you for calling and sharing with us. Good
luck with that, all right? Hey, Quinnie, what's good?

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (35:23):
What's up?

Speaker 12 (35:24):
Young?

Speaker 2 (35:24):
You want to tell me and Mana how you handle
politics in your relationship.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
So I don't know why.

Speaker 7 (35:30):
This is such a hard decision for people, but I
feel before you get in a relationship, some of the
first things you should ask to stuff like that, like
how do you feel about this person? Do you vote Republican?
Do you vote Democratic? Are you independent? Like that should
be very important because me personally, I'm a Democrat and
I cannot be with a Republican at all. There's no

(35:51):
way we can raise our household the same thing. That's
just like religion. Those are things you should be talked
about before you get in a relationship with somebody, not
you later down the line.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
What if a candidate comes along as a Republican but
you actually like them?

Speaker 13 (36:05):
Nah?

Speaker 14 (36:06):
See.

Speaker 7 (36:06):
I try to do that, And I used to say
that I think I'm more in the middle with things
because I like to look at both sides. But at
the end of the day, when I really look at it,
it might be one thing on the Republican side that
I might say, Okay, I understand, but at the end
of the day, I just don't go that way. It
just doesn't go for me that way.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
All right, girl, I feel you.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
All right, Well, thank you for calling, no problem, all right, Well,
thank you guys for calling and sharing with us. I
know it's not an easy conversation to have with somebody
to talk because it gets very heated, very passionate inhol Yeah,
like to me, I can't imagine somebody who is okay
with somebody degrading women in the way that that I mean.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
There could be so many different things.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
But if you could just name one thing that you're like,
this is a non negotiable for me. That's a non negotiable.
But anyway, again, tomorrow is elections. That's your last chance
to vote. And when we come back, it's our last chance.
Well your last chance to talk on the show today,
all right, because you guys will have the last word.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
It's way up. Take up the.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Phone, tapping in to get your voice heard.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
What the word is? He is the last word on
Way Up with Angela Ye?

day and be part of that fun party at the polls.
All right, well you guys like we always tell you,
this is your show, so you have the last word, babbie.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Thank you.

Speaker 12 (38:14):
They like twenty sixteen. I like, I crashed my dere car.
I ain't do it all previous, right, I'll pot at
an all black three series BMW. So I knew when
he came back he was going to be so I
hurried up and rushed the car back home. I had
parked it on the opposite side of the street to
try to make it seem like somebody came down the street,
flying down there and had smacked the car. My pap
got a whole insurance claim over there. I think he

(38:34):
won like thirty K from somebody smacking his BMW like that.

Speaker 13 (38:38):
Well, my name was me freshman, and I want to
send the light on my boyfriend George Ratlin. He worked
for NPSC, works at We're beside school on the e side.
