Speaker 2 (00:19):
Celebrate?
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Are we celebrating this friday?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
We always do?
Speaker 3 (00:22):
What is it a friends giving up here?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Hey? Why not? I like that? Celebrating birthdays?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Man?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
All right? Whose birthday?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
It was? My son's birthday?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Shout up, that's what it was. I saw that.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
He's such a he is such a great young man.
That full night.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
So lucky you are.
Speaker 7 (00:40):
You are lucky because if you totally went, what if
you would have had a mini u. Yeah, it's like
the parents worst nightmare.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
I hate the thought of that.
Speaker 7 (00:51):
All right, Well, listen, we have a special guest today
and he has been taken over up here because he's
opening his first ever flagship store. And men, y'all know,
we love those Telfair Tell Far bags. W I say,
Telfair Tell Far bags, all right.
Speaker 6 (01:06):
Not tell Fair, No, it's tell Far so far.
Speaker 7 (01:08):
We love those tell Far bags, all right, so let's
not play with that. I got a nice new one too,
but tell Far bags are the wave. And he's opening
his first flagship store. That's a big deal. So we
have been heavily making sure that y'all know about it.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
We know you.
Speaker 7 (01:21):
You know, we love our black owned, amazing businesses. Let's
start the show with some love and some positivity. Let's
shine a light eight hundred and two ninety fifty. And
let's also Michelle. Y'all hear this debut. Well you heard it,
You're gonna hear it all morning. Jack Harlowe, you know
he's got a new song.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
You like it. You said it's nice jazzy. I like
it all right.
Speaker 7 (01:39):
A lot going on today, on this Friday before the
holiday week.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Shine the light on them, shine a light on.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It's way up for Angela.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
Ye, I'm here, my guy Maynos, and today let's shine
a light on actor Michael Rainey Jr. He has launch
a two point four million dollar financial literacy initiative and
his hometown of Staten Island with Equifax and the Recovery
Education Foundation to provide students with the financial tools they
need to succeed.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Here's what he had to say.
Speaker 8 (02:19):
The first thing I would do is go home and
ask what my parents' credits CALLD is and then start
the conversation of when can I become up authorized usually
on your account whatever, so I can start building my
own all right.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
So there's some advice from Michael Ranney Junior. That's amazing.
By the way.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
I love the fact that, like the other day y'all
told you, I got honored by Restoration Plaza in Brooklyn,
And a lot of what they do is about economic
development financial literacy. So it's so nice when the tools
are there for you to be able to use it.
It's accessible, and somebody like Michael Ranney Jr. Can be
there to promote it. Cause you see how he took
over the business from his dad. Oh wait, that's a character.
(02:57):
He was running things and he was getting to that
money fall off. He was learning how to flip. I mean,
he had to self financial.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
I don't caid. It's a show.
Speaker 7 (03:05):
It's a show, all right. Well, who do you guys
want to spress some love to? Who do you want
to shine a light on? Don Who you want to
shine a light on?
Speaker 1 (03:11):
And I want to shine a light on Jasmin Crockett.
You know I follow I've been following politics a little more,
especially after this last election, just to see, you know,
what type of bills they're trying to pass. And I
was reading about Representative play Higgins from Louisiana talking about,
you know, how they want to get rid of the
DEI diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and in his speech he
used the word that they want to basically fight oppressing
(03:33):
against their people. And I just like the fact that
she called that out state that you know, white men
have never been oppressed the way that we have really
been oppressed. So for you to sit up there and
talk about being oppressed as if your people were taken
away from their homes and beaten and sold into slavery,
you know, I feel like she's the only one in
Congress who's really being real about everything.
Speaker 7 (03:54):
Right, Listen, we love Jasmine Crockett, and thank you for
paying attention. Some people have kind of tuned down out
right now, but it's important to make sure we'll tuning in.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Definitely, definitely. Well. I love the show, Angelie. I listen
to you guys every morning, you know, keep it up, man.
I love what y'all do for the community.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
All right, Well, thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (04:12):
We appreciate you for calling shout out to Jasmine Crackett.
All right, well that was Shina Light eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
can always leave a message to shine a light that way.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
And when we come back Neo.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Neo has some things that he wants to I guess
he wants to shine a light. I've never seen you
come in here so excited to discuss Neo.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
It's way up.
Speaker 7 (04:33):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jean.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Man.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
She's spilling it all. This is yeeky way.
Speaker 7 (04:42):
All right, it's way up with Angela yee Mano is
very regular and I appreciate that about him. So oh,
here he comes. All right, well, let's get right into it.
Neo has come clean about his love life. He's so
happy he doesn't have to lie anymore. He was on
the Limon Drop Show, a new podcast and listen, by
(05:02):
the way, the first he's the first guest, and he
also worked with the woman who's hosting the podcast, which
is amazing nice because she's from the industry. But anyway,
here's what he had to say about not having to
lie about what goes on anymore.
Speaker 6 (05:15):
I am not betting on marriage.
Speaker 9 (05:17):
Everything's not for everybody. Monogamy is for you, it's not
for me. I've realized this. It's a weight lifted off
my shoulders. I realized I spent so much time lying
and trying to be somebody that I wasn't for the
sake of somebody else, completely and other time wasted when
I could have just been exactly who I am and
then waited for those people to gravitate to me.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
That's right, Leach, imagine that.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
I think we already knew it though, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
But I mean, listen, he's speaking truth.
Speaker 10 (05:49):
Because men, we spend too much time lying, trying to
be something that we know we not, and that's what
is wrong.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
Okay, So are you about to shout out to Carleen Roy,
who's the host of this by the way, and created
this podcast too. She said that he was her first
guest and she worked with him, said it was only
right now aside from that, Oh yeah, you're ready for that.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
All right?
Speaker 7 (06:11):
So you gotta watch that full episode though, to hear
all the things that he's talking about on there. All right, Now,
let's talk about schoolboy Qjay Rock says it and more
performing at the TDE Christmas Charity Concert that's going to
be happening next month. It's their eleventh annual Christmas content
and toy Drive. I love the holiday season to see
what everybody's going to be doing. It's a two day
(06:32):
event December twelfth and thirteenth that Nickoson Gardens, sis A Schoolboy,
QJ Rock Dochi app so Isia Rashad, Sir Ray Vaughan.
It's going to be amazing for people to be able
to go to that and imagine the special guests who
are going to be coming through, aside from the people
who have been announced. All right, yesterday we told you
about Jesse Smollett and how his case got overturned.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
So they said he even was surprised so he won.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
It got overturned on a tech so not necessarily that
they think he was being honest.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
It doesn't even matter. It was a technicality.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
So now the twins are speaking out for the first
time since all of this had happened, and they said
that regular Joshmo like themselves, never would have got the
deal that Jesse got, and they said that it was
his influence and his power that tipped the skills in
his favor.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Here's what they had to say.
Speaker 11 (07:21):
We were taken aback initially not because of the Supreme
Court's decision, but because Jesse never admitted guilt. We understand
that he has due process rights and double jeopardy shouldn't
and is not allowed in America. However, Jesse should have
admitted guilt.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
So those was his lovers, right, those two twinses too.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
I mean, there's all kinds of allegations, you know, trainer
who knows. But they're saying that they were paid to
stage this attack. Jesse Smallett is saying the attack was real.
But no matter what, on a technicality, that conviction was overturned.
So they don't think justice will serve even if they
say it was the right legal decision. I guess they
want him to say that he's guilty or whatever. All right,
(08:07):
well that is your Yet when we come back, we
have about last night. That's where we discussed what we
did last night. I didn't do anything as exciting as
what our producer did. He went to go see Dave
Chappelle and killing Mike.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
Oh you went to see that last night.
Speaker 7 (08:20):
But we'll talk about what we did. Maybe he'll give
us a little preview. I know he hates to get
on the mic, but it might have to happen. And
may no, I know you were outside. I was showing
anybody your cowboy pictures. Yeah, I was showing everybody. But
it was your son's birthday. We'll talk about it. It's
way out.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
So about last.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
Night, yes, es, I went down.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
Up at Antela. Yee, I'm here maino s you know,
tap into that alumni network.
Speaker 12 (08:48):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
I was just talking about that. That's what.
Speaker 7 (08:50):
Yeah, I know you have a great one. But anyway,
let's talk about what we did last night. Happy birthday
to your son.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
May know, happy birthday young Zay, young baby live. Which
wanted to He didn't really want to do much because
he's setting up for this party.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
You know what party?
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Some party he got going on.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
So are you going to that too?
Speaker 2 (09:10):
I don't know age limit, probably not.
Speaker 10 (09:14):
I mean listen, he's twenty two now. So I was like,
you know what, I'm gonna do something for him, you know,
something like and you know, we just did a dinner
some family and friends. My cousins was.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
There, so he went time. So wait, tell me more
about his party though?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
What is yeah, I see him with a little flyer.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
He has a flyer.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yeah, yeah, I seen him with a flyer.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
So is that a club?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
It is at a club? Man, I'm like, man, just
got here here?
Speaker 7 (09:38):
Oh he is outside, but he like dips outside. He's
not outside like you're not.
Speaker 10 (09:44):
And and the thing is he really like I'm like, yo,
you need to get your hit done. He's like, no,
I want to wait to right before the party he wanted.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
He wanted. That makes specific and pop out.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
That makes a lot of sense. When's his party?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Is it this weekend? I think it's this weekend?
Speaker 6 (10:01):
All right?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
So you're gonna go, though, right?
Speaker 2 (10:03):
If I don't go, almost send somebody.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
I think he wants you there.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Probably not, so then don't go.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, you gotta be on his best friend.
Speaker 6 (10:11):
I'm like the coolest father though.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah, but still still it's still his father, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 2 (10:17):
It don't matter. You don't want me to Yeah, I
don't think you to tell me I'm not cool.
Speaker 7 (10:21):
Well I can see why a young girl ways say
that I'm not cool. Yeah, because like an embarrassing dad,
you were trying to kiss.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Her cheek and.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Nobody. No, young girls, we don't want like, I don't
like that, especially that age. She's how old is she twelve? Yeah? No,
like dad, go away.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Now.
Speaker 7 (10:41):
I didn't really do much yesterday, but I did come
in today and Dan, our producer, was so excited because
he went to go see Dave Chappelle and Killing Me
last night.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Tell us about that.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
It was amazing.
Speaker 13 (10:50):
It was my first time seeing Dave and I'm actually
a diehard Steeler fan and I skipped the Steeler game
to go to this concert, so that's like rare for me.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
But no, it was incredible.
Speaker 14 (10:58):
Uh.
Speaker 13 (10:58):
Dave his set was just like so up to date,
it was so time. He was literally talking about stuff
that happened like two days ago. You know, it was
phone free. I'm not going to give away any jokes.
There is two shows left. Okay, it's in California. I
highly recommend to go if you can make it.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Man and Dave can riff like he can just talk.
And the great thing about David is.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Right, The great thing is that he can have a
conversation about something and it doesn't even have to always
be a punchline.
Speaker 10 (11:24):
The way he makes arms off like it makes sense,
but it's still funny, still humor in the sense that
he's making.
Speaker 13 (11:31):
But he's also saying real stuff too, Like you know,
I like that at the end, it was kind of
like a mic drop situation.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
But you know he's my favorite too. So yeah, all right, well,
shout out to Dave Chappelle and kill him Mike when
we come back.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Woo baby.
Speaker 7 (11:44):
Tell us a secret, Dave, if you want to call him.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty any secret
that you have.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
We are here to listen. We're not here to judge you.
We just want to hear what you have to say.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
You hear me, Mano?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Are you listening?
Speaker 6 (11:57):
What's the real?
Speaker 10 (11:58):
No judgment and you are non So I haven't judged
anybody since I've been up here, right.
Speaker 7 (12:02):
Maybe don't ask people their name please, all right? Eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Oh yeah, this is a judgment free zone. Tell us
a secret.
Speaker 7 (12:16):
What's up, guys, it's a judgment free zone. I'm here,
Mano's here, no mayna?
Speaker 6 (12:21):
All right?
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Are you ready, Mano?
Speaker 7 (12:22):
I'm ready because people about to call in and tell
they let's do it darkest secrets and we're not gonna
judge them.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
We're just gonna listen and we're gonna go. Thank you
so much for sharing with us. Can you do that?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (12:33):
All right?
Speaker 7 (12:34):
Eight hundred ninety two fifty one fifty anonymous call it
tell us your secret.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
I've been knowing somebody for eight years and I just
feel like I am, you know, a part of his life.
But he has gotten engaged two years ago and we
still are. It's so yeah, that's the only person I'm
missing it with.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
You know what's the problem.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
He's engaged to somebody else.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
That's how the thing, right, You got those men who
try to have you for again once they taking you
it too, and that's one of those situations. So you know,
you take her two homes and that's what it is.
But I'm not gonna be no dumbies or anything. It
might sound like contraditional, but.
Speaker 7 (13:13):
You're not messing with nobody else but him. So that's
your man. He's just engaged to someone else, right side.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Yeah, I'm not a side pas. I was the first piece,
but I just I had done it a little bit.
You know, when I came back, I guess he couldn't wait,
you know, he happened, But as long as he's taking
her home. I'm not complaining to you. I just know
that if it's somebody out there for me. But at
the moment, he's my man because I'm I'm just smashed
him for the last four years.
Speaker 9 (13:36):
Right.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
How do you feel about the fact that he's getting
married though?
Speaker 5 (13:39):
I feel like it's bs because if you were truly happy,
you know, you wouldn't be steady trying to talk to
someone you've been knowing for the last eight years. On
top of that, like that's a personal problem. You gotta
he gotta figure out. He gotta take it up for
our power, and I do too. Like I said, I
don't want to be contradictional. I don't want to contradict myself.
But you know, there's something he has to deal with.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
If you're in love with love, if.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
Not getting it, so be it.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
If it's a business.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Proposition and you get marrying her for business wives, y'all
been engaged for the last two years. Y'all haven't even
had a set married date.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
You're a little hurt. You're a little hurt.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
So but once it gets married, are you still gonna
be sleeping with them?
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Good questions? Now, I have one last question. What if
she called you and I was like, are you sleeping
with my fiance? What would you say?
Speaker 15 (14:27):
I would say, dear, you have to take it up
with him.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Y'all been dealing with it.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
You know what you should you know what you really
should do?
Speaker 10 (14:32):
Though, yes you should really just a no, you should
try to sleep with her too, Like all y'all just
get together. You might as well like one happy family.
Oh no, not a threesome, but a family unit.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Like, just be together.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
I hope that you find your happiness. Okay, I know
me too.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Thanks you guys, I appreciate it, all right.
Speaker 7 (14:54):
And listen, you the right thing that you need to
do for yourself, because in this type of situation, it
feels like a lot of people could get hurt, so.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Including your Okay.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
All right down, all right, take care you too.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
You too.
Speaker 7 (15:14):
And she's gonna be alone on the holidays too, that's
if if she go over there with them, he's going
to be seeing her on Black Friday at Walmart. Well,
that was tell us a secret. That was a doozy,
especially around the holidays. All right, Well, you guys, when
we come back, we have your yee tea and Chris
(15:36):
Brown and Kay Sanat. He did the Mafia Thine two stream.
They had a dance battle, they had singing lessons, They
had a good time. Chris Brown doesn't do many appearances
when it comes to interviews.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
So let's talk about it. It's way up.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
She's about to off this pot. Let's get it.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Angela's feeling that ye te Come and get the tea.
It's way up.
Speaker 7 (15:55):
It into the here and you heard that new Jack Harlowe,
Hello Miss Johnson World premiering all right, an afternoon.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
All right, Now, let's get into some ut.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
Kat Williams has purchased a former Alabama military base.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
He's going to be launching a new movie studio.
Speaker 7 (16:12):
So he did confirm that, and he said it's not
fair to put all that pressure on Tyler Perry.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
In that GQ interview, he said he can only do
so much.
Speaker 7 (16:20):
And so now he does want to follow in those
footsteps and build his own entertainment empire.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
But yes, he did purchase that military base.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Right right, right, He is in a lot of ways
kind of like the way that people talk about Tyler
Perry giving them additional money, just helping them out.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
He does that a lot too, right, And we hear
people say that?
Speaker 7 (16:39):
All right, Jonathan Majors's ex girlfriend, Grace Jabrai, has dropped
that assault and defamation lawsuit against him. A joint notice
was filed by both of their attorneys dating all claims
against defendant in the above caption action are hereby dismissed
with prejudice. She did accuse him of having a history
of domestic violence and making her to be a liar.
(17:01):
And so now she's dropped all of that and he's
getting married.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Oh stop it. You know who Jonathan Mage is right right, right,
all right now.
Speaker 7 (17:11):
Chris Brown and Kaisana they have done the Mafia Mafia
Thine two stream. Chris Brown don't do a lot of
interviews and so what I think people love about going
on his is that it's always going to be more
about just having a fun time on the stream.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
And so a lot of things happened on here.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
He did talk about something that Neil discussed as well,
which is being in multiple relationships.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
God, are you a relationship right now? I'm in multiple
Like won't go or something like that, and how do
you balance that? To be honest, just be honest. There
you go.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
It does a lot of people will tell you truth.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
It's when you lie that's the problem, because then you
present yourself to be something that you're not.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Right.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
I wonder if a woman told you I'm in multiple relationships,
You're okay with that too, as long as listen.
Speaker 10 (18:00):
If she tells me exactly who she is, then that's
who she is. Then you got to set your standards
and you gotta get expectations around who.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
That person is.
Speaker 10 (18:08):
It's when somebody lies to you and presents themselves to
be something that they not, that you have that expectation
in them, and then you find out that somebody else.
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Speaking of expectations, he also talked about the nicest gift
he ever got anyone.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
The most expensive thing you ever got for her girl,
the most expensive thing on one. One thing probably like
a three four hundred thousand dollar ring, God damn.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Not like a wedding ring. Just a ring, a promise ring.
Speaker 9 (18:31):
Yeah, something like that.
Speaker 7 (18:34):
Okay, what about you may know what's the most expensive
thing you ever got? Not even love you ever body.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Promise even I mean I bought everything, but not even.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
Close to Let's say, back in the day, I used
to love when when we were younger and guys would
give you the ring with the two hearts on it,
it'd be like a double heart ring.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
And that was like a little promised relationship ring.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Old bracelet, Yes, so cute.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Those are the things are cute.
Speaker 6 (19:01):
What do they do now?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
It's different now? And you want a little big clea
for bracelet?
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Right, it's too much to do it to burn all right?
Speaker 10 (19:13):
Now.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
Share was recently on the Howitz Duran Show, and you know,
she does have her memoir that's out, so she's been
doing some press and telling all of the secrets. And
one thing that she talked about was how good she
is in bed and the one actor whoever do well?
Not just one, but she said, barely did people break
up with her? Here's here's who did break up with her?
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Who she was in love with? You man, I was
madly in love with Val Kilmer and he left.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
Why would he leave?
Speaker 1 (19:39):
He's having fabulous sex with one of the most beautiful
women in the world.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
What's the problem because.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
You don't Sometimes you only stay only sometimes you're only
meant to stay with someone so long. And Val was
like he was really young, Yeah, he was young. I mean, listen,
we were talking about Top Gun. That's a classic movie.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
That.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
I know, uh, you know, you've never seen that. I'm
surprised that, but you saw a true.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
Romance absolutely all right, and he had a yeah yeah, yeah,
he's in here. I'm looking at all the movies that
he was in. He wasn't maybe he didn't have a
big role.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
He was at the star of that. I was just
watching a movie that.
Speaker 7 (20:18):
What was the name of that movie? I was just
watching yesterday, Zoe Kravis directed it. Do anybody see this
what I got a remember of it? Okay, oh yeah, yeah, okay,
I watched that all right. Anyway, when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar.
I definitely want to make sure you know them. Anyway,
(20:40):
it's way up.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
It's in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all right.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
His way up with Angela, Ye, I'm here, Mayin, I's here.
Speaker 7 (20:49):
And it's time for those under the radar stories. Bitcoin
is at record highs. We were just talking about stocks
and everything, so right now it's looking like it's going
to reach one hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
It's more than doubled in value this year.
Speaker 7 (21:03):
It's about forty five percent up in the past two
weeks since Trump has has won the election, and so
a lot of other cryptocurrencies have been.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
All cryptos up. Stocks is up.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
Yeah, so it should be interesting for everybody who But
I feel bad for people who sold at the wrong
time too, who felt like, let me get out.
Speaker 14 (21:22):
Of this.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Before I did. Yeah, with certain things, Yeah, I should
have left.
Speaker 10 (21:28):
I mean, you know, it's hard to predict, though, it is,
but I was just showing you how I left a
few dollars in somewhere and it just shot up.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
And I looked at it the other.
Speaker 7 (21:37):
Day I was like, oh wow, all right, now here's
another story. Tesla is responsible for more fatal accidents than
any other carmaker. Did you know that cars are getting
more technologically advanced? And what can be confirmed though, is
that the prospect of a top safety pick is not
guaranteed to avoid a fatality.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
So that is number one on the list.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, Tesla calls, you say, and more accident from.
Speaker 7 (22:01):
Yeah, the ten most dangerous vehicles on that list, And
they said the higher fatality rates aren't necessarily the car's fault.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
According to what they said, the test a model. Why
there's some issues with that.
Speaker 7 (22:15):
They said, new cars are safer than they've ever been,
but it comes down to driver habits and behaviors. Okay,
so it's more about that than the actual car. So
depending on what car you drive. All right, egg shortages
have spread nationwide. Prices are spiking ahead of the holiday season.
Shoppers at Trader Joe's, we're talking about this too. A
(22:36):
lot of places are out of eggs. Also, you know
what it is too though, a lot of people are cooking,
and we all know eggs are a really popular thing
that people end up having to cook with. So I
can imagine right now that if you're trying to go
and buy eggs, just get ready to deal with the
fact that maybe they don't have it. There's also flu,
an avian flu outbreak which began in January of twenty
(22:58):
twenty two that sent egg prices and that's when the
initial stage of the outbreak, the average cost of a
dozen eggs was about four dollars and eighty two cents.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
All right, Well, that is you're under the radar. It's
a Friday, guys.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
Excita, It's Friday, and Telfar is gonna be joining us today.
He is opening his brand new flagship store tomorrow. He
has been taken over all of the shows on the
station right now because he wants to make sure that
y'all know to come out to this store. We want
to make sure that you guys know to come out
(23:34):
and support tel Far. I love my tel Fire bags.
I love tel Fire, So I'm excited for this. We're
gonna give away some spoilers as to what's going to
be happening, but again, that store is opening tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
It's way up way She's like to talk like.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
The Angel Jean, like they Angel Jean Man.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
This is yeek way up, all right. It's way up
with Angela Yee. I'm here, Maino's here. No breaking news.
Kendrick has a brand new album out right now.
Speaker 7 (24:09):

this g n X video that he posted.
Speaker 3 (24:17):

Speaker 1 (24:22):

Speaker 3 (24:25):
A lot going on right now, guys, and ten minutes later.
Speaker 7 (24:29):
The full album dropped g NX guys, are we excited
or what We've been sitting here listening in his room.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Man, I see like it literally a couple of people
over here.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
It literally just came out a few minutes on the
album White Bullet, this song Luthor Scissors on that we're
going to get all into that. No, actually said man
at the garden. I'm trying to figure it out right now.
But there's a Luther sample at the beginning of Luther.
We heard some Tupac con that we're going to get
into all of that in the new music when we
come back. But in the meantime, here is a first
(25:00):
song on the album, Whacked Out Mural, and he definitely
addresses this super Bowl stuff with little wing apologies.
Speaker 16 (25:07):
I want to see up don't acknowlish me. Then maybe
we can fears fair take it to the internet and
not take it there.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
Miss Okay, okay, okay, oh like this what's all?
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Oh my goodness crazy?
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (25:24):
All right, I mean, it is a new Music Friday,
and there's a lot.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Of event to talk about that.
Speaker 7 (25:28):
But we're going through some of discantuct for you guys
right now. As he has got this full album out.
It's twelve songs. So far we got up to Reincarnated.
But when I tell you this sounds amazing. So far,
it sounds amazing. Other breaking news right now, because what's
that spill it? Connor McGregor has been found liable for
sexual assault in his civil trial.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
The case has been going on all month.
Speaker 7 (25:53):
Nikita ne Lemhane has said that he and another man
had sex with her against her will after a twenty
eighteen Christmas part She said he picked her up and
her friend following a holiday yet together, took them to
a nearby hotel and then he allegedly forced himself on
her in a bed in a penthouse. Sweet and another
man named James Loris also sexually assaulted her too. Now
they have denied these allegations, and he said everything they
(26:16):
did was consensual, but they did not believe him, and
they awarded her about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars
in damages. But they did find that Lawrence did not
assault the woman. So that's another breaking news story. Breaking
news announce.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
A lot happening.
Speaker 7 (26:33):
But when we come back, it's a new Music Friday,
and you know what we're talking about new music, new music,

whole Kendrick Lamar break after this.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
We've been already listening to the album.
Speaker 7 (28:14):
We're about halfway through, and we already told you Kenjack
Lamar's surprise drop g n X today.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Now.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Sizza is on two songs on the album.
Speaker 7 (28:23):
She's on Gloria and she's on this song right here, Luther, Okay,
that song is fire.
Speaker 9 (28:33):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I mean from the moment that it starts. And Heart
Part six is on here.
Speaker 7 (28:39):
We'll play that later, but it's it's the real story
of him and Black Hippie and Top Doug Entertainment.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
So that's the real Heart Part six that's on this
album too.
Speaker 7 (28:49):
Other things on here that are gonna be sampled, and
we are gonna get all this for you because we're
doing this in real time because literally this album just
dropped not even thirty minutes ago, right, But there's a
Tupac sample and words that's on here on the song Reincarnated.
So as you guys are going to listen to the album,
we'll see all of this. And you know how it
is with a Kendrick album. We're gonna find out new
things NonStop as you continue to listen to it. And
(29:11):
I see y'all on here saying this is the best
album of the year. This is the we haven't even
heard the whole thing yet, that's impossible, but so far
it does sound amazing.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
He also sampled SWV on hard Part six, and so
we're gonna listen to all of this and we're gonna
break it down for you guys, So make sure you
keep it locked here because we're getting ready for the
super Bowl performance. But Kendrick did an amazing job of
putting out a snippet and then dropping a whole album
a few minutes later. It's a way up more Kendrick
Lamar when we come back.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
This is fresh out of the studio, brand new five.
It's new Music Friday, A Way Up with angela.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Ye brand new and breaking news.
Speaker 2 (29:49):

Speaker 7 (29:50):
Yeah, Kendrick Lamar has put out an entire album. It
is twelve songs about forty four minutes long. We've been
talking about this today. The album is called gn X,
and let's get into it. Squabble up that song right
there is actually how not Like Us? And so now
you get to hear the song and its entirety.
Speaker 16 (30:11):

Speaker 7 (30:19):
In addition to that, there's some amazing samples on here,
and everyone's excited about this song Reincarnated where he sampled
Tupac made and words.
Speaker 16 (30:28):
Here it is, I Got to find your Berner Jimmy
from with concent touch on who I used to be Skinner?
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Yeah, I like that one.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
Now you're rapping like pot. We like this the pot
flow all right.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Now, everybody's excited.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
Also about the Heart Part six that's on this It's
the Real Heart Part six and he kind of goes
to the whole history of his career with TDE. He
talks about Jay Rock being the first person to pop off.
He talks about Schoolboy q Uh. He discusses black hippie
and what made him, I guess leave the label as
far as feeling like he was stagnant.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Here's what he said, Tom.
Speaker 16 (31:03):
Flash some carrying in debates of for Top five bury
my option nine last, but I've done a half job.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
That's a group that he's in. Is him app So
Schoolboy Q and Jay roll them together, yep, all of
them together. You know, I met Kenjick when he first
when Jay Rock's album was coming out, because I hosted
Jay Rock's album release party and then Kenjick came through
at that night and it.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Was a fun night. Shout out to HK was at
HK in the city.
Speaker 7 (31:31):
If you remember that Jay Rock was signed to Warner
Music and then I think that turned into Asylum And
that's why I actually know them so well from back then,
shout out to top Dog all right, and he talks
about Punch, He talks about the A and r Naim
Mali who's over there now. We played this earlier, but
we got to bring this at back because this is
him addressing everything about the super Bowl, and I guess
(31:54):
the disappointment that little Wyne couldn't just say congratulations. Only
Nas reached out to say congratulations. Here's what he said
on Whacked Out Murals.
Speaker 16 (32:01):
Those apologies I want to don't acknowledge me, then maybe
we can.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
All right, well, there's some of the highlights that we
have so far.
Speaker 14 (32:11):
But I know this.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
The album literally just came out.
Speaker 7 (32:14):
It was a surprise album, right, so I know all
day today it's taking over the internet that ken Jack
Lamar has a brand new album out.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
GNX.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
You put out a teaser and then next thing you know,
a few minutes later, an entire album has dropped. And
I will say from us listening to it, it sounds
amazing so far. So I know as we go through
it and shout out to Sizza, who is featured on
the album, I didn't hear a lot of features on here,
but I know she's on two songs's on She's on
Gloria and she's on Luther, and Luther is the joint.
(32:43):
I feel like that's gonna be like the Yeah Radio
amazing song. All right, Well, that is your extended new
music today, and when we come back, tell far it's
gonna be joining us. He has a brand new store
opening in Manhattan tomorrow, and we know, you know, we
love our tell f Our bags, So shout out to
Tell Far. He's been taken over up here, and we
(33:03):
want to make sure you guys all know how to
go to the store opening, how to go to the
store after this, what the experience is gonna be like.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
And we got to congratulate him too. It's way up. Yes,
you want to know my name way up with Angela turn.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
What's up this way up at Angela yee? And this
is a huge day from my Boottel Far. Let's guess
what that Tell Far Star is opening tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
You know we gotta pop a little champagne. Let me
move on. My god, you guys, how did you gus
and this tell Fur start? And I know this has
been something that's been in the works for quite some time.
Speaker 7 (33:46):
How long did it take from when you first decided
and got the space to tomorrow.
Speaker 17 (33:52):
We're upon the twentieth year anniversary, so I would say
it's taken twenty years.
Speaker 7 (33:57):
Here's a Tell Far tomorrow and congratulations all your hard
work and innovation.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
And what I love is always really rooting for the underdog.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
I love an underdog.
Speaker 7 (34:11):
You have to make that sound different than what I'm in.
I like to have a good time, know me too,
but have it in such a great location.
Speaker 17 (34:21):
Canw and Broadway like so much history and meaning behind
where the store is, you know, because there's soho where
shopping is. But Canal Street is like what I know,
as like I don't know, it's just like this intersection
that's so much of New York. Yeah, you know, and
like kind of like my growing up.
Speaker 7 (34:39):
Right now, I am talking to the legendary how Far
about his brand new store opening in New York tomorrow.
Since I know you love taking a trip down memory lane,
I want to go through some of.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Your old headlines.
Speaker 7 (34:50):
And he had the story behind the story, all right,
I want to bring back loitering.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Yes, bring your back.
Speaker 13 (34:58):
You know.
Speaker 17 (34:58):
It's just like this like energy of like you know,
one maybe not having a job, but too just like
experiencing and exploring the city that's not this thing of
like experiencing through the screen and like knowing you know,
like I just like come from the era of like
you didn't know where your friends were at all, you know,
because nobody really had cell phones and you just knew
(35:19):
people would be like on the Lower East Side on
like Orchard street or like hanging out, you know, like
and you would walk by there and then you'll run
into your friends at a certain time or.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Like you know, and it's like that was a beautiful time.
Speaker 7 (35:32):
You're right, you know what I mean because the kids
today do not know that time. But I mean, you know,
expense if it was to have a cell got one?
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Yeah, like by the minute, yeah, by the minute.
Speaker 17 (35:43):
Like when people started taking pictures on their phone, I
start acting differently in clubs, you know what I mean.
And I feel like that has precipitated into how people act.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
What were you doing?
Speaker 17 (35:51):
I was having a good time, different good time. I mean,
first off, you know, there's no secret. It's like I
remember the first time I started to DJ. I DJ naked,
you know, so I used to DJ butt naked at
Happy Endings that was downtown and read it all makes sense,
you know, and that was like really fun because it's
like you'll be at a club and it just like
take your pants off, you know, like like everybody's dare
(36:13):
saying you're having a good time, and that was like
a good time that like the DJ is completely naked
and made you want to get naked and like, you know,
have a good time.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Then when people had cell phones, it was just like.
Speaker 12 (36:25):
Jeep, you know.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
And then also I could play music, so it was
like I think they give it up?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
All that up with your hands.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Or you know, I tried my best.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
TOPPI is here.
Speaker 7 (36:43):
He's got a brand new store opening, a flash ship store,
the first ever top Our flagship store tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
We got more with him when we come back. It's
way up. It's turn me up. He'll we go upga.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
This is way up with Angela.
Speaker 14 (36:56):
Ye.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Is way up with Angela?
Speaker 16 (36:58):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
I'm here and how far is here?
Speaker 14 (37:00):
You know?
Speaker 7 (37:01):
I love my tail fur bags, I love my tail
fur clothes. I love my tail fur accessories. And now
there's a flagship store opening in New York City tomorrow.
There's going to be all kinds of surprises. But he's
here with me now. Now you started doing real leather
bags also.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Yes, exactly, so you know that's the thing, you know,
vegan leather, real.
Speaker 17 (37:21):
Leather one might last forever, you know. So it's like
I'm dabbling in both, you know, because I eat meat.
Speaker 12 (37:28):
And I like we you know, so you say something
like that, it's like you can be vegan to have
a little you know, chick it on the side, you know,
because that's like the criticism.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
It's like it's bag of real leather, yeah, you.
Speaker 17 (37:45):
Know, and it's like, oh, so we finally made one.
It's called the carry Bag. It's like a forever kind
of bag and it's take on the original Tel far
Vegan shopping bags.
Speaker 7 (37:56):
It's interesting that you say that people will say it's
not real leather, because I remember people were when they
Louis Baton bags are not leather, like the yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
Mean, I was like, you can't feel that, yeah, And
just like.
Speaker 17 (38:07):
How anything that's made in Italy is actually made in China.
It's just a stamp, you know what I mean. It's like,
you know, so there's so much discourse around what's doing,
what to wear, and it's like at the end of
the day, it's like, how are.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
You consuming it?
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Right now?
Speaker 7 (38:22):
I am talking to the legendary how Far about his
brand new store opening in New York tomorrow. I feel
like you're very nostalgic, But do you feel like you
need to keep up with fast fashion?
Speaker 17 (38:31):
I wanted to back in the day, and now I
think like I wouldn't necessarily say no, but I wouldn't
necessarily say yes.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
You know.
Speaker 17 (38:40):
I kind of like this new era of having to
go to the store that you deal with the person
and deal with the real thing, not the diluted version
of it. So it's like I'm kind of glad that
I haven't really stepped into that like that okay, you know,
But at the same time, I'm like, should I with you?
Speaker 5 (39:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (39:02):
I kind of don't limit myself in that kind of
way that that is that, you know, I think we
almost did many different things with many big brands that
I won't mention.
Speaker 7 (39:14):
People tapped you to try to come in and be
you know how they'll tap like a designer that has
their own brand to come in and like head up.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Yeah, that was like the whole game of twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
You know.
Speaker 17 (39:24):
I was trying to activate the community, you know, and
I have to really beware of that too, you know.
