Shout out to Mark and Joy.
Speaker 10 (03:10):
They are feeding the people. They have lines around the
corner in the mornings for their food pantry. They're giving
away toys for the children during the holidays. So please
tell them to love if you can. They really are
a small staff doing amazing work and they're angels in
the community.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Oh and this is my girl, Natasha Alfred by the way,
author also at the Grillo right now. I'm looking at
Joy's Angels online right now and how you can donate
household items, you can volunteer. You can also donate money
for a scholarship. They have custom amounts, so things like
this are really important, especially during this time too.
Speaker 8 (03:47):
They also house people who are on the streets, so
if somebody needs a place to stay in an emergency,
if there's a fire, they will give people a place
to sleep and lay their head at night.
Speaker 9 (03:57):
So it's a blessing.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
All right. I'm a post it too in case people
are trying to find the link. I'll make sure I
post it as well.
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Yeah, we appreciate you so much, Angela, You're doing the work.
Thank you for helping earth China light on people who
really deserve it.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
All right, well, thank you to Joys Angels, and thank
you Natasha for that shin of light.
Speaker 8 (04:14):
Thank you SIF.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
All right, Well that was China Light eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message for last word in China Light.
That way and when we come back, we have your
yea T and let's talk about divorces. It's all good
until it's not. We'll tell you who just filed for divorce,
but we'll also talk about a SuperStar's ex wife who
allegedly took out one hundred million dollars without his authorization.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
We'll discuss its way up.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
Please in the rooms from industry shade to all of
gosp out send Angela's feeling that.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Yet, All right, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
My guy Meno is here back in the country. All right, now,
let's get into it. Here's some daddy yankee, so and
your yea te daddy yankee is saying that his ex
wife drew one hundred million dollars out of his accounts
without authorization. They just announced their divorce a few weeks ago,
and now he's filing a series of legal motions against
(05:10):
his soon to be ex wife, Madrees Gonzalez.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Now, according to reports, she withdrew eighty.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Million dollars from the bank account of his label El
Cartel records where she served as CEO. Will find her,
Oh well, he's what do you mean? Where do they
find her? And I'm gonna tell you why. I'm gonna
tell you who I stop it what. And then that
same Friday, he filed another motion where he says that
(05:36):
she withdrew an additional twenty million dollars from Los Congrese,
another music company that he owns. And so he did
sell his catalog for two hundred and seventeen million dollars
to Concord and that includes hits like Gasolina, Conacama, Despasito,
all of that, so his rights on Despasito.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
So yes, he definitely has the money.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Where's the money?
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Well, she was the CEO, and so I guess what
they're saying is that he was kept in the dark
and didn't get information about the withdrawals, cash movements that
she and her sister make behind his back. And so
this allegedly happened on Thursday, after he revoked her authority
and warned them against making financial transactions. She probably was like, oh,
you know you want to play like that? What's what
(06:22):
I do right away? And so we shall see how
this plays out. But that's a lot, one hundred million dollars,
like said, she could have took a couple of million.
He might not have known one hundred million as wild
all right Chance, The rapper's wife has officially filed for divorce.
Kristen Coralie. She was in court Friday and filed for divorce.
They were married for five years. They announced their separation
(06:44):
back in April, and now she's made the first move
as far as filing for divorce.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
So they do have a prenup.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
The kids live with their mom, Kirsten, and she's just
saying irorconsolable differences. She went to child support and she's
waiving maintenance, so that unfortunately that didn't work out all right. Now,
Uncle Luke, people had a lot of things to say
about him bringing Lisa Ray into this conversation. Uncle Luke
was defending Travis Hunter's fiance Leanna Linney.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
He's saying that she isn't a gold digger.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Here's his rationale, using Lisa Ray as an example that
young girl.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Is not a gold digger.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Gold Diggers get coached.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Up by their mama. I love her to death.
Speaker 11 (07:22):
Lisa Ray will tell you straight up if you cannot
afford her.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
If Lisa Ray has a daughter, she would raise up
daughter in the same way she is.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
This young lady was a gold digger people.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
All right.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Well, when the Shared Room asked Lisa Ray, why do
people have so many comments about what issues what you
said during your interview with Carlos King where she'll only
date powerful rich men, she said, I don't know why
people are so afraid to say what they always want to.
Really know, miss me, with the small stuff, I've lived
and I'm going to continue to live the way I'm
used to it because I can and I do. You
can't relate, don't. I'm very cool with life. Okay, So
(07:58):
she don't have no issue with what Luke said. Thought
she would and I guess not. She said Luke never
tried to shoot a shot because people were like, oh,
maybe he tried to holler at her and she turned
him down. She said, he's always been very respectful and
always will be. I'm sure we are older, all right, Well,
that is your ye te. When we come back, we
have about last night. That's where we discussed what we
did last night. You just came back from London, so
(08:19):
I cannot wait to hear about.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
This ship and what you had going on.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I know you were on boats, you were in black tie,
you were.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Around everything and everybody. I know you said you want
to go back there for two weeks. We'll discuss it.
Its way up.
Speaker 7 (08:32):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yes, it's way up at the Angela. Ye, I'm here.
Mato's here, back in the country here. So talked to
us a little bit about London. I haven't been to
London since I was like a kid.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
I was on the ends, man around the proper teams.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Okay, some proper teams.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Proper teams.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Uh huh. So you loved it.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
Yeah, I love London, get a lot of love.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Did you go shopping because I know London's very well
known for their fashion.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
No, I didn't go shopping shopping, but I had left
my love shopping, right, I left my tas so we
had to go to the spot in the store.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
I forgot the name of the store.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
It's like a Burgdolf not everything, no, uh something else, sausages, sausages.
Speaker 6 (09:22):
I was like, you know, stop playing with me, something
like this.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
It's similar to that, though. It's like a big department
store and they got everything in there. It's about a
new time.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Okay, Well, I actually I'm getting ready to go to
Atlanta today.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Jingle Ball is tomorrow hip for that.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
But I was watching a movie yesterday while I was
cleaning and getting my stuff together, and it was on Peacock.
It's called Speak No Evil with James McAvoy, and basically,
and this made me start thinking, right, it's a family
I read you the description. A family is invited to
spend a whole weekend and a lonely home in the countryside.
But as the weekend progress, says, they realized that a
(10:01):
dark side lights within the family.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Who invited them. You know how you get mad at
people while you watch a movie.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
It was stupid, God, you got it, like, why would
you be. I'm gonna tell you one thing that happened.
It has nothing to do with the plot. That really
made me annoyed. And you tell me what you think
because I don't have kids, but I could just imagine
how a person would feel in this situation. So basically
this they meet this other couple while they're on vacation together.
(10:27):
The couple invites them to come stay with them anytime,
and they end up taking them up on the offer.
They barely know these people, so they were two things
that the other dad did, whose house they went to
with their twelve year old daughter. He had like a
little scooter and she was like, oh, Dad, can we
get when he was like no, no, and they let
her go right on the scooter with this strange man
they just met. So you know how that's weird already
(10:47):
because she's sitting in front of him on the scooter
and that's like some strange man.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
And then he drives off with the kid. That felt
weird and I saw that.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
And then there's another point where they wake up in
the She wakes up in the middle of the night
to check on her daughter, right, and her daughter is
in bed with this couple.
Speaker 6 (11:06):
Right, and they sleep they washed under there.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
It's time to go.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah, all right, But anyway, that was speak no Evil
on Peacock. Now when we come back, it's tell us
a secret. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty
Call us up. We want to hear your deepest, darkest secrets.
But remember we listen and don't judge.
Speaker 4 (11:25):

Speaker 3 (11:26):

manos here, no mana, It's time for us to hear
some secrets.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Eight hundred Why are you smiling already?
Speaker 5 (11:48):

and then you just pulled what you pulled on me
the other day was crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Hello anonymous,
call it. Tell us your secret.
Speaker 9 (11:59):
Completely love with my significant other's friend.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Oh, completely in love? How did this happen?
Speaker 9 (12:06):
My significant level and carry was going. I was here
and I kind of always had a crush on his friend.
Speaker 6 (12:15):
And his friend.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yeah he's gay, none of them are gay.
Speaker 9 (12:20):
That's his friend. I'm a girl. I'm just deciding my voice.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
You a girl.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
You're just gusing your voice very well. I thought you
were all right. So let's hear the story. So you're
you're in love with your significant other's friend.
Speaker 9 (12:32):
Right, Yeah, I always had a crush on his friend,
so I acted on it and I went for it.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
So did you ever speak to to your significant other
about the friend?
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Your voice?
Speaker 6 (12:46):
Did you like the friend?
Speaker 9 (12:47):
First, Yeah, yeah, I did.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
You should have worked for a friend, man, you got
it bad.
Speaker 6 (12:52):
Yeah, you should have went for the friend first as
a girl.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
He had a girlfriend, so because he was in a relationship,
you settle for the other, the guy you're with now, right?
Speaker 12 (13:04):
Right?
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Did you ever sleep with this guy? That friend? Is
he in love with you? Also? Is he completely in
love with you too?
Speaker 9 (13:14):
I believe so?
Speaker 6 (13:15):
Does he still have a girlfriend, Oh.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
So he's available. Would you leave your man.
Speaker 9 (13:23):
In a New York minute?
Speaker 4 (13:24):
Oh, my gosh, I can't. Is he still in the military.
Is your husband still in the military? Oh? Man? And
every day you look at him like.
Speaker 9 (13:42):
You because you did nothing to me. So I don't
even know how to deal with it.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
For right, you feel bad, but you're not even attracted
to your husband because you're thinking about this other guy.
Speaker 9 (13:50):
You got it.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
I'm so sorry. That is awful. Well, we'll see what happens.
But you're not doing your husband no favorites by staying
with him.
Speaker 9 (13:59):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
All right? Well I wish you loved they broke.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
I can't help it. All right, you do a great
job discussing your voice.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
What's that anonymous color? How are you you want to
tell us a secret I.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
Slept with.
Speaker 13 (14:18):
During the first five years. Put my mind.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Oh, while you were married. So you've been married for
five years and you slept with seventy women while you've
been married.
Speaker 8 (14:26):
No, I was married for two years.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
Oh, and slept with seventy women.
Speaker 9 (14:31):
Slept with seventy women.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
Wow, it's only like ten women a year.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
You're married, I would, Oh, you're not married anymore?
Speaker 14 (14:40):
No?
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Okay, so you think you're a sex addict.
Speaker 10 (14:44):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Seven years a lot and and you're married. Why did
you step out like that?
Speaker 8 (14:50):
I had a problem in the beginning, I just like
variety of women.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Did she find out? Did your wife find out at
the time?
Speaker 6 (14:57):
Nope?
Speaker 10 (14:57):
Not yet?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
What do you mean, not yet? You're gonna tell No,
I'm not gonna tell them.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
I should tell her.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
Get it off your conscious, brou No, we're nothin.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Did y'all ever have three sums or anything?
Speaker 12 (15:12):
No?
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Did you ever ask?
Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Okay? All right, So now where are you at with it?
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Are you still sleeping with a lot of different women
and craving variety?
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Or are you ready to settle down? No?
Speaker 10 (15:24):
I don't that older.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Now, okay, you ain't got time for that.
Speaker 8 (15:28):
I don't think your work like work.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Okay, so you're not capable.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Because you use it up.
Speaker 8 (15:35):
Yeah, I'm not chasing.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Okay, that honey pack, all right, or maybe some blue shoe, right,
I need a couple of them, all right, No, maybe
you need to sit down, sir. Okay, all right, Well.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Thank you for sharing with us, all right, all right,
No he can't wait to get that out now that
it's not working.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
All right, Well that is your tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
And when we come back, we have your yea t
and let's talk about Remy Ma and Peppoos. It's still going.
We'll tell you what Fat Joe said, how Pappoos responded.
And then also this video that was captured at remy
My performing its way up.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yo, she's about to blow the lid abof this spot.
Let's get it.
Speaker 7 (16:16):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yee te come.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
And get the tea.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
I'm not that's right, all right, it's way up at
Angela yea me and mane over here, good.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Baby, yee tee time. All right.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
So on my expert opinion, Fat Joe was on and
I know he said he's not speaking on Remy MII
and pappoos and he didn't say too much, but here's
what he did have to say about the two of
them and how they just aren't getting along with each other.
Speaker 6 (16:41):
What I know is I left y'all last night went
the Brooklyn at chop House.
Speaker 11 (16:45):
She treated ten grown men in the dinner, and I
woke up in the morning and my phone was going crazy,
and they was like, yeah, look what's going on. I'm like,
what the is a hard situation because she made me
love him. You know what I'm saying, that's my god
daughter's father.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
I don't like none of that. What I can't do
is stop it.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
They won't listen to me.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Yeah, and he's saying, look, people are like, oh, you've
mediated so many reppy He's like, look, I ain't got
none to do with this marriage thing though, the two
with them, Yeah, it's got a step to the side
for the heart. And so yes, they you know, they
did get married in February of twenty sixteen. They had
their child together in December of twenty eighteen. They were
supposed to get married before she was incarcerated too, so
(17:28):
they've been dating for a long time and throughout her
whole prison stint and then they got married when she
came home. Now, Pappoose wants people to know because I
saw a lot of people lashed on to the fact
that re Me paid for ten grown men to eat
at Brooklyn chap House. Well, Papoos said peace to my
brother fad Joe. I think you all misunderstood his interview.
I was not at Brooklyn chop House with them. I
do spend thousands of dollars there regularly. I love that place.
(17:51):
Because people were saying, why is she paid? They thought
she was.
Speaker 6 (17:53):
You're right, he thought they thought that he was referring
about him.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, but he's like, no, people are misunderstanding what he's saying.
And it seemed like he has an issue with Fat
Joe speaking because Fat Joe didn't say much.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
He just was like, we were out eating.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
And then next thing, you know, the next day, I
woke up and had all these messages all right. In
the meantime, remy Ma was performing and I saw on
It's Only Entertainment they posted it looks like she's shouting
out the guy she's dating now easy the Black Captain.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
She said, heavy on the easy because at first people
didn't catch it, right, you didn't catch it? You can
like getting sound like and then heavy on the easy.
Clearly she's talking about the guy she's dating, so you know,
I guess that's still happening. WHOA Babe. Twenty twenty five
is almost here. Mason Cameron have announced there it is
(18:51):
What it Is live podcast tour and that's going to
be starting Wednesday, February twenty six and Boston at the
wilbur So that's Mace Cam and Treasure Wilson. People can
go see them live. I'm sure that's going to do
really well to by the way, when they do this tour.
And lastly, since you know it's not twenty twenty five yet,
Attorney Tony Busby, he's the one who is representing jay
(19:14):
Z's the woman who's accusing jay Z of rape alongside Diddy.
Now Tony Busby has filed a lawsuit against Rock Nation. Now,
according to this lawsuit, they're saying that this case was
brought on behalf of a former client of the firm.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Who was illegally solicited.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
So basically what he's saying is that people from Rock
Nation or part of Team Rock have been orchestrating a
conspiracy to have people accuse his law firm of wrongdoings.
So they said agents acting on one person they named
a particular is Marcy Croft acting on Cross Behalf Again,
(19:51):
we're caught on tape soliciting and offering money up to
ten thousand dollars to former clients of the Busby Law
firm to convince them to follow a frivolous case against
the Buzsby Law firm to have now stooped to a
new load to try to intimidate the lawyers of the
Busby Law firm.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
From doing their important work.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
They are now contacting clients and former clients and actually
offering them money to sue me. But they are saying
they have tapes of this. So if you say you
have it on tape, I don't know. All right, well,
it's getting ugly, guys, and you know the years coming
to an end. That is your Yet when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the
(20:26):
radar right now. Let's hear some Rihanna. She was at
the Mariah Carey concert last night. Dan was there with
his fiancee Rita and she was watching Rihanna instead of
the concert, because everybody was watching Rihanna.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
It's way up.
Speaker 7 (20:39):
It's in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
It's way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Yee, I'm here, Mana. All right, let's get into some
of these under the radar stories.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
This one is so important and I particularly wanted to
say this because I feel like everyone in this room
has gotten this smishing text message. If you don't know
what smishing is, it is a form of fishing, but
it's through text messages, so they call it smishing, and
it's when somebody sends a message disguised as a reputable
source to get you to reveal your.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Own personal information.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Now, in particular, the USPS smishing message has been going
through to a lot of people where it feels like
you have some type of package that you need to
sign for or that's on the way, and you go
ahead and click on the link and then next thing
you know, you're giving up your personal information and they
got you. All right, So if you are going to
(21:33):
get a pack a text message from USPS, it's going
to look like everything including a tracking number, package status
daytime location, and instructions to stop receiving further messages. You
can actually link out of those because you have to
sign up to get messages from USPS and not going
to just unsolicited send you something. You also have to
get expecting a package, all right, So if you get
(21:54):
one of these messages, they said, take the following steps
to follow report without clicking.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
I'll just copy the body of.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
The message and paste it into a new email, and
then attach a screenshot of the text message showing to
send its phone number and date the message was sent.
And then for that text message to seven seven six
that's a spam seven seven six spam is the word.
So you can take all of that with all of
the details, the number it came from, the email it
came from, whatever it is, a screenshot of that and
(22:23):
send that to seven seven two six spam and that's
when they'll contact you if any further information is needed.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
So just be careful.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
It's the holidays, and while a lot of us are
celebrating and doing positive things, there are some people that
are taking advantage and doing fraudulent things. Brushing is another
thing that's happening right now. When a person receives a
package containing items that you did not order or request
by the recipient, and the package may be addressed to you,
but it often doesn't have a return address. The idea
(22:52):
of that is to give the idea that you are
a verified buyer who has written positive reviews online. Then
the scammer writes fake reviews in your name and that
helps boost product sales. So it may appear like a
victimist crime. But they said the recipient's personal information may
have been stolen, and a fake review may encourage others
to purchase items.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
That aren't worthy of that rating.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
So if you think that you're a victim of that,
then right return to send her on the box and
they'll take care of it at no charge and send
it back.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Scam look at you already thinking what you're about to do?
All right?
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Well, that is you're under the radar. And now you
know we have the way it mixed. At the top
of the hour and it is a Wealth Wednesday. We're
nice and full and Chef Shelley Flash is going to
be joining us two girls and a cook shop for
this Wealth Wednesday to talk about her amazing business that
she has with her daughter. We know sometimes working with
a family can't be tough, but she talk about how
she handles it and all about the restaurant business. She's
(23:46):
really good friends with Elvis Durant, who's another host at
Ihearts who's had a long running nationally syndicated show. He
absolutely loves her. I just saw him in the hallway
and he was like he needs her decatter everything at
all times. It's way up happy Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
Like they Angela like they Angela ge.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
She's spilling it all. This is yeat.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Well, all right, it's the way y'all put Angela Yee.
I'm here with my guy new Man, Yes.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Man ovation Shine, Let's get into some YEATI. So Ken
Drek has surprised people yet again.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
He put out a previously leaked track it's called Money
Without Me, on his YouTube channel. So people are thinking
there's gonna be like a deluxe album coming soon or
who knows, But this is all they're saying. They believe
it dates back to his Section eighty era because of
the resemblance to the themes and production of his earlier work.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
So here is Money without Me.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Looking at your life, stad be wondering why my new
six hundred never sitting outside. But I know what's coming
soon beside by myself.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
Quick.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
I don't have it now, but I know it exists
that they are me, oh, broad chap on the shouldern.
Then I tell her this, maybe you ain't getting money
without meaning.
Speaker 15 (25:02):
All right?
Speaker 3 (25:04):
He leaked it, yes, oh, he put it out, but
it was leaked online last year. But it's an older song,
so he's putting out some older things that had never
previously been released, all right. So yes, and he posted it,
so that's the difference. It's not like it was leaked
somewhere else, all right. Jez is saying that he fears
his ex wife, Genie Mai, walking around his home. He
(25:25):
wants the court to put boundaries for her upcoming visits.
According to in Touch, they have court documents. They were
going back and forth about furniture that was purchased during
their marriage, and she claims that she had property at
his home that needs to be picked up. And so
they had it hearing in November and they said she
has twenty one days to pick up the items that
he placed in boxes.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
That's like her.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Emmy's makeup, bugs, photographs, handbag, shoes, other personal items and
so now Jez's asking the court to step in before
there's issues. She can walk through the entirety of the
marital residence with an escort that's selected by Jez to
ensure that she gets all her personal items. He's fine
with her coming to the residents to get her stuff,
but he has concerns about her being able to walk
(26:07):
through the whole house and doesn't want that to happen,
so he wants to make sure there's an escort, make.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
Sure she ain't doing what a ginger did.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
In Casino.
Speaker 6 (26:19):
Well, hold them at the door, hold him at the door.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
He doesn't want money, He does not want her walking
around the home freely just because of things that have happened.
And look, that could be good to protect both of them,
right because she can go get her things. If that's
all you want to do, it shouldn't be an issue.
Or he could be doing it to be annoying. But
I think for both of their behalfs like for him,
let's get ahead of this, let's make sure there's no issues.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
We don't get into it.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
I don't even have to be home, and I wouldn't
feel more comfortable if it was me to having somebody
walk you around my house to get your things.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Right, all right.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Well, Carlos Watson, he's the founder of Ozzie Media. He
just got sentenced to nearly ten years in prison about
in this case about his Ozzi Media startup. Now, he
was on way up with Angela Yee recently and he
definitely is planning to appeal this decision. He was found
(27:12):
guilty last summer of charges including wire for a conspiracy.
He has denied these allegations, but here is what he
had to say when he was on way up.
Speaker 12 (27:20):
They are arguing that there was a fraud in which
people lost millions of dollars. You're saying that mister Watson,
actually no one lost money, but mister Watson could have
led people to lose fifty million. And he's going to
get thirty seven The average murderer, Angelill gets sixteen and
a half years. They're saying, well, they're going to give
me two times as though I committed double murder. Bernie
(27:40):
Madoff served thirteen years. Fifty billion dollar thing. They're saying,
I'm more worried about this guy.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
So originally he was facing a mandatory minimum of two
years and potentially as much as thirty seventy years. For now,
he's free on a three million dollar bond. He's supposed
to surrender to prison in March twenty eighth. Restitution will
be determined after a hearing in February, but he is
planning to appeal, so it feels like he'll be out
on appeal of this, but the whole case.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
And I would tell you to go watch.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
The interview, but we have to take it down because
of a cease and desist by somebody.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
He discussed in the interview.
Speaker 6 (28:13):
That they put the seasons insist them.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Yeah, they're coming after him, but I'm sure we'll talk
to him again at some point. All right, Well that
is your eet. When we come back. We have ask yee.
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is
a number. Call us up any question you have. We're
here to help you out with the award winning advice
giving mainnovation renovator new Mano is way up a.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
God everybody since whether it's relationship with career advice, Angela's
dropping facts, so you should you should know.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
This is ask gee, what's up this way up with Angela?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Ye, I'm here, Mano's here and it's time for ask
yee with my award winning advice giving friend Mano.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
All Right, we got Kendra on the line. Kendra, hi ye, how.
Speaker 9 (28:54):
Are you good?
Speaker 4 (28:55):
How are you?
Speaker 14 (28:56):
I'm good? Thanks?
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Taking a cool Yeah, listen and Mayno's here too. I'm
to hear what he might have to say. But what's
your question for asking?
Speaker 14 (29:03):
Okay? If I've been dating this guy for two years,
he's really nice, he takes care of me, a really
good guy. But like the spark is dying, so I
don't want to waste his time. So I'm thinking about
breaking up with him, but I'm trying to just stick
up with him before after Christmas. I've been dropping him
a gift that I really wanted. I think he's going
to get it, so I'm just like, I don't know
if I should just wait gift.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
No, you should do it before because if you do
it after, meaning that you only stay so that you
can get a gift like twix.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
Are you getting him something?
Speaker 14 (29:36):
Yeah, I'll have a for him.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Okay, so you already have a gift for him. Do
you know that you want to break up with him
or do you feel like you want to?
Speaker 14 (29:44):
I just feel like it's not going anywhere, Like it's
just it's just say, he's a really good guy, but
I don't want to settle.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
You know, if he's a really good guy, you don't
want to take advantage of him and take a gift
from him.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
Out together, like here's your gift, I'll take my gift.
Now let's break up or.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Kench, maybe it's time to just take a break where
it's like, you know, I feel like this isn't really
going anywhere.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
You guys need to have that conversation.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
I would suggest having that conversation before the holidays. That way,
if he does give you a present, you know that's
on him. Y'all had the conversation and he might still
want to give you the present anyway.
Speaker 14 (30:18):
Yeah, but I guess you could start frustrated like the
new year too.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
You know, because it feels like you're not all the
way sure that you want to break up. You're just
feeling like there's better things out there.
Speaker 14 (30:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (30:27):
I just don't want to say, like I don't want
to be one of those old people in a relationship,
like I should have left this a long time ago.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
But then sometimes the grass is greener on the other
side and you miss what you had.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
Yeah, but sometimes if you're not happy, then put yourself first.
If you're not happy, yeah, couldn't get a really great guy.
Speaker 14 (30:44):
It's just like I just like you know, you.
Speaker 6 (30:47):
Probably want something.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
You probably want somebody else more exciting, you know, a
little bit more rough around the.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Edges is more, more adventures, more dangerous, stretch you out
like it would be stressing people out.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
What you want?
Speaker 4 (30:58):
A little stress that you whoa god?
Speaker 6 (31:00):
He too much of a nice guy. I told you
being too nice ain't good.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
How would you know?
Speaker 3 (31:06):
But but Kendra, you know he's a nice guy. You
like him as a person. Don't do that to him,
don't take advantage.
Speaker 14 (31:13):
I agree with that. You guys are right, all.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Right, Kendra, good luck and happy holidays.
Speaker 11 (31:17):
Happy holidays, Thank you guys.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
All right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. You could leave a message
if you couldn't get through, and we'll take your question
that way and when we come back. We have a
wealth Wednesday, two girls and a cookshop. We have the
owners Jatan Flash and Shelley Flash. Shelley Flash is Ja'tan's mom.
The two of them have a business together. So find
(31:40):
out about what it's like to work with family, but
also just studying a business from the ground of what
they went through, where they are now and what's next.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
It's way up, Happy Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
I had a dream of.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Wealthy and I don't mind sharing my wealth dog.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is wealth
Wednesday on way up with it?
Speaker 4 (32:01):
H what's up? It's the way up at Angela Yee.
I'm here with my guy Mano. Now, Mano and I
have this in common.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
We both love food, and not do we just love food,
but we also love Two girls in a cook shop.
It's Shelley Flash and Jaton Flash are here. They are
the two.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Girls, yes, mother dot a team.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
And so I want to talk about your business and
how you even got started because you have to have
some type of like restaurant experience, right actually know.
Speaker 16 (32:26):
I mean I come from a long line of housekeepers,
people that made box lunches from their houses, and just
food was a centerpiece of everything that we did. And honestly,
I feel like as a first gen a second gen,
you don't really you don't know if you're Jamaican enough,
you know, if you're American enough, you're just kind of
walking in the middle.
Speaker 15 (32:40):
So me and my daughter we were.
Speaker 16 (32:41):
Like, what can we do that represents us, that stills
paying nods to the culture and paying homage to everybody
came before us. But also it's showing love to the
melting pot that is New York, that is telling that
story through food, and that's where two girls in a
cookshop Jamaican tacos and diasters street food came from.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
And so tell me how you even started it, like
clients you had cut for people who went to my
cousin business. Yeah, it is good to know how you
guys said it, because sometimes people are doing things that
they don't even realize could turn into a business.
Speaker 15 (33:10):
On thousand percent.
Speaker 16 (33:11):
Thank you for accing that, because honestly, everybody think it's
so pretty in the front, it is lonely as hell.
Speaker 15 (33:15):
No, I know it is desolate.
Speaker 16 (33:16):
We got kicked out of a spot and I someday
I'm gonna say this man name. We were there and
people were coming in to buy the food and we
were using the Wi Fi and then we had to
wash dishes and before we even could start, he's like,
y'all need to get out.
Speaker 15 (33:28):
Y'all taking up too much space.
Speaker 16 (33:30):
They're not coming here to support the bar, and it
was just so alienating because we were there. And so
now I'm there with my child. She's like ten, and
then we didn't have a car, so we're doing everything
by bus by uber. So it's like almost two o'clock
in the morning and I'm in the middle of Williamsburg
with my kid. Got to keep a straight face because
I'm with my child. She can't see me sweat. So
to have that happen before we were even able to
(33:50):
really get going, I could have really took that as
like a hit, but I really just took it as
a challenge right now.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
So wealth Wednesday, I'm with my guy Manoh, and we
had talking to the owners of two Girls and a
cut shop, Shelley Flash and Ja Time Flash. How is
it working with your daughter and what are the boundaries
that you guys have to set for each other?
Speaker 4 (34:06):
Because that's a good I love.
Speaker 16 (34:09):
She's a gen z, so she should got me answer
the boundaries questions. So I suck at that. But because
I mean, I just came from the culture like we
putting it in work, So I suck with boundaries, but I'm
learning them now and like, working with my daughter honestly
is the most rewarding and mirror moment that I could
ever ask for, because she's gonna keep it a buck
with me, She's gonna keep it so real and honestly,
(34:31):
she's made me find more value in myself and in
what we're building. Like there was a time we got
hired as big company booked us and it is in
the money, and she's like, we ain't leaving this couch
until until it clears, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 15 (34:43):
And I was like, no, no, no, they're gonna pay.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
They're a big company. They go, she said for who
She's like, do you know how hard we work?
Speaker 15 (34:50):
We ain't here sweating.
Speaker 16 (34:52):
And so to have somebody talk to you like that
would say with their whole heart and their chest with
so much love because she sees the value before you
see the value in yourself.
Speaker 15 (34:59):
And she also taught me how to I didn't know
how to dream. I wasn't raised that way.
Speaker 16 (35:02):
But she's like, mom, She's like, I could be anything
I want to be because of you, So you could
be anything you want to be. And so it's like
working with somebody that literally has your back and loves you,
wind Loser draw. That's the best thing you could ever
ask for, because I know, even if she ain't in
the kitchen with me, she always with me and she's
never gonna make us look crazy.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
All Right, it's a Wealth Wednesday and we are talking
about the business behind the business with Taton Flash and
Shelley Flash, the owners of two Girls and a Cookshop.
We have more with them when we come back.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind.
Speaker 7 (35:30):
Sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
What's up this way up with Angela Yee and happy
Wealth Wednesday. My guy Mano is here and we have
the owners of two Girls and a cook shop, Jaton
Flash and Shelley Flash here. Now I want to talk
about finances because that is also something as Black women
we know as entrepreneurs we get the least amount of
fun bring, but we do so much work and we
(35:58):
are the ones that are starting up the business is
how has that part been for you? And how did
you manage to fund your business to get it started?
And when did you say okay, it's time to get
into a kitchen and then what's the next step.
Speaker 16 (36:08):
Absolutely shout out to go on the unbeaten path. And
I feel like a lot more people are getting into it,
which is grants and pitch competition. So some of our
funding has come from that. But honestly, I was fortunate
to have an actual career prior to where I had
a salary job.
Speaker 15 (36:24):
I worked for the state, Okay.
Speaker 16 (36:25):
So every time my mother would always say, Shelley, buy it.
If you have to rent it, think of how you
can own it. So it's like from a path from
a pan to you know, a tent. She's like every time,
instead of going out there to forever twenty one, she
and whatever, go buy yourself a piece of equipment.
Speaker 15 (36:41):
And that was the best advice I got.
Speaker 16 (36:42):
So I slowly, like bought pieces of equipment, bought things
for my business, and that's how we invested directly into
it ourselves. And then you know, I get the confidence
enough to do pitch competitions and I wont like three
so far, and then honestly I got.
Speaker 15 (36:56):
A Sh'S so many people that has helped us along
the way.
Speaker 16 (36:58):
I have to shout out one million black women with
Gome sax low re organization of them.
Speaker 15 (37:03):
Love them.
Speaker 16 (37:04):
They have taught me how to not be scared of
the numbers and understanding the numbers, understand their data.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
Points right now.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
So both Wednesday, I'm with my guy Mano and we
are talking to the owners of two Girls and a
cook shop, Shelley Flash and to Time Flash and so
you so you took some of the cause they do
offer like courses and education.
Speaker 15 (37:22):
I went through the entire program graduate.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
You said that people have to know that these resources
are available and to take advantage of that, because some
people will be like, I don't have time.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
I'm too busy trying to do my business. But you
can't afford not to do those things.
Speaker 15 (37:34):
I can't they follow me.
Speaker 16 (37:35):
I can literally send people and I will DM them back.
I can send you for free lawyer services, free marketing.
It's like, I'm tired of people saying that they can't
have it or they don't know where to find it.
You need shout to Pinky Cole. You need the triple
as attorney, accountant and assistant. Okay, So at the end
of the day, it exists. So I could if if
anybody hits me up, I'm all about free because I
(37:57):
understand how hard it is and for you to find
not necessarily the value in it, because you know it's
important to get your book situated, or to get an
attorney or get an IP or trademark of those type
of things.
Speaker 15 (38:07):
But I will put you in the right division to
get a pro bono.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Oh, that's amazing, a thousand percent and they'll work with you.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Sometimes people feel like, well, because it is expensive, like
these services, they're not thinking about businesses that only have
three four people working, right, and so you want to
get the bookkeeping. But it's also like, ooh, this costs
a lot, mom to be able to hire somebody or
to hire a service to do that.
Speaker 15 (38:29):
It's so it's not free.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
But then it's also I don't want to get these penalties,
and I want to make sure that we're on top
of everything that we need.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
To do it.
Speaker 15 (38:34):
And I have an amazing circle as well.
Speaker 16 (38:36):
I feel like a lot of times you need to
network laterally and the people that have had your back
continue to have your back. So it's like my account
and my cousin in law, my cousin, it's like you know,
and then also I have another person that I lean
to for hr resources that handles the entire eastern seaboard
of the state. You know, that works with different like
ADP and different payrolls. Okay, so I lean into my
(38:56):
friends and my family as well and what their gifts
in their their services are because I'm just like, Okay,
I can't afford you for you yet, but I can
give you a little something here, okay, you know, and
then I can get advice from you or you can
help me out with this.
Speaker 3 (39:07):

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Tapping it gets your voice heard. What the word bit,
here's the last word on Way Up with Angela.

It's a holiday season. Guys.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Whatever you're doing, wherever you're going right now, I don't
care where you are. Traffic is a little unpredictable, so
just make sure you give yourself enough time. Nobody wants
to be stressed in the airport. Nobody wants to be
stressed on their way somewhere. So just give yourself a
little extra time, right, And I do want to thank
for this wealth Wednesday. I do want to date two
girls and a cookshop owners, Jatan Flash and Shelley Flash
(40:18):
for joining us today.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
That was amazing. Plus we had some food.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
Man, I'm just mad they didn't have the tacos with them.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Listen, they wanted some traditional It was amazing. All the
food is good. I'm actually heading out to Atlanta. Jingle
ball out there is tomorrow, so I will be outside.
You hear me outside, you know what that means. I'm
going to toast on Lennox. I'm going to the grill,
so look out for me Atlanta. But again, this is
your show, so you have the last word.
Speaker 13 (40:46):
So my girl hels off her Man in jail all
three years. He comes out of jail and gets her
present and he just starts with all these herds. He's
cheating on her and he's putting my girl through it.
So he gets with this new girl and she thinks
she's a Sugarhnynetee and it's all for what I did.
I downloaded a fake app and it changes your voice.
(41:09):
And I called her phone and I asked to speak
to my girlfriend. When she back to the phone, I
was like, Oh, that's why she was doing this is
this is me? And he hunk up the phone and
a couple of days later and she broke up with
that girl. That's my little revenge that he's still riven
all about.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Angelay is way up, the way up.
