to see it.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
But anyway, who do you guys want to spread some
left to? Who do you want to shine a light on?
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty, Oh, Shane,
who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
I want to shine the light on.

That's what I found up for.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
The Oh my gosh, what's the name of it.
Speaker 10 (03:09):
Trendy pups grooming, So that trendy spelt regular underscore pups
p U p s underscore grooming. What I'm gonna try
and stay the area.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
What's the most dangerous dog?
Speaker 10 (03:19):
I would say probably a pitfull?
Speaker 5 (03:21):
All right, Oh Shane, I would love to see some
videos of you, you know, at work. I love dogs.
I just was telling my homegirl this morning she should
get a dog.
Speaker 10 (03:28):
Well yeah, well I page you flooded with them, you know,
but I just, you know't thank you for giving me
the opportunity, you know, come on to I just want
to shine the light on all the entrepreneurs out there,
you know, just for waking up every day, relying on
our own ideas and hunt, you know, trying to chase
our dreams so they can come through.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Well, thank you, Oh Shane, I love what it is
that you're doing.
Speaker 10 (03:45):
All right, thank you.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
That was shining light eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you can
leave a message and we can shine your light for
last word. And when we come back at yet and
so let's talk about Diddy's argument about these freak off video.
According to his side, they're saying that they are consensual
what the tapes are are showing, and that undermines the case. Kim,
(04:08):
you're an attorney, Kim Asaro, sir, you're a lawyer. Bar Yeah, okay,
you're a lawyer. We're going to talk about it when
we come back. It's way up, they says.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
Rooms from industry shade to all the gossip out angels felt.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
On this way up with Maino Kim Osorio.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Hey, good morning, and let's get into the et So, Kim,
you're a lawyer and I love saying that. But Diddy's
arguing that the videos of his freak offs that they're
using in the case against him prove that he's innocent.
There's a new letter they filed yesterday. They said the
nine videos they've showed show private sexual activity between fully
consenting adults in a long term relationship, and also show
(04:50):
Cassie thoroughly enjoying herself. And they said that Cassie is
evidently happy, dominant, and completely in control.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Oh wow, interesting.
Speaker 8 (04:58):
I mean I would have to see the tapes because
each side is going to argue their point.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
So what is the prosecution saying?
Speaker 9 (05:04):
Like, you know, it's clear that that Cassie enjoyed usself is.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
What they're saying.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
What the defense is the defense is saying, right, everyone
always has their argument.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
They said.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Also, the tapes were not secretly recorded as alleged, and
there were not any miners or other celebrities involved. And
they also said that Diddy's team says Cassie kept the
tapes herself and handed them over to the government, disputing
the claim they were seized during the federal raids, and
so they're saying that evidence undermines the core of the
government's case.
Speaker 8 (05:32):
Yeah, that's that was really interesting to me because why
was she hand that over She handed them over them.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
What did they find in the raid? I thought they
found videos in.
Speaker 9 (05:39):
The race supposedly, because that's what we keep hearing it allegedly,
But we ain't heard about no hall core evidence about
them actually having no real evidence on disupposed miners with the.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
Sex dungeon or whatever like.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
But there, you know, there are people who did come
forward and say that they felt they were talking about
this oil allegedly. I'm just but that's the other side
too as well. But we don't know what other videos
there could put.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
We don't know until this trial.
Speaker 7 (06:11):
Yeah, video everything else come out what it is?
Speaker 4 (06:13):
All right now?
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Cartie B went on xpaces and was basically and I
saw when she was doing this, she was basically talking
about offsets and it feels like she has just been
fed up, hadded up to here.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Do you guys know.
Speaker 11 (06:28):
That my kids didn't receive no Christmas gifts from somebody
in particular. Mothers want to make a scene like I
was keeping my kids away from them. You love your
kids so much, and you're about to meet for Christmas,
but you came to New York to buy your other kids'
gifts on purpose to Spike me.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Your little games that you do for Spike.
Speaker 11 (06:47):
That doesn't bother me, No.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
More chance, all right.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
She also said that she's just ready to be divorced.
Here's what she said, you want to talk about.
Speaker 11 (06:56):
You haven't accepted the divorce because you're not going to
be on my terms because you just want to see
the kids.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
You want to see the kids.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
You would just call your daughter for the first time
this year yesterday. You're newborn. I ain't lessened after you
and your mama robbed me. But you're gonna stop playing
with me, and you're gonna sign these divorce papers.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Cho So when you get.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
A divorce, everybody has.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
To sign, right, both parties.
Speaker 7 (07:21):
So when you don't sign, what happens.
Speaker 8 (07:23):
Then you just kind of you can get married in
one day, but it takes nobody, can I mean, even
if even if not divorces take long whole legal process.
Speaker 9 (07:36):
If the other person doesn't sign, nobody has nobody can
make them sign, right, No, you.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
Can't force anybody, but you know, get married because Jodge
can say, you know it's done, depending on like you
know what what is that.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Let's let my lawyer get it together and we'll discuss that.
But Carti B did say she feels better after all
of that, and she is going to be in court
with Tasha K for a two day court battle. So
that's gonna be February twenty fourth and twenty fifth with
their legal battle with this defamation lawsuit. All right, well
that is your yet when we come back about last night,
what did we do last night? I was outside? Okay,
(08:15):
here's Jeremiah Ja Coole with planes.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
It's way up, so about last night? He said, I
went down last night.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
I just want to point out it's only January fifteenth
so far, and there's a lot of activity in twenty
twenty five.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Manos, here's years thoughts off right, Kim O Sorry, who's here?
Speaker 5 (08:36):
Oh Sorio? Oh Sorial? Not sorry, oh Sorio, oh Sorial.

Speaker 4 (08:43):

Speaker 8 (08:44):

Speaker 7 (08:47):

Jess and the boy want you to come on his show.
That's the show where Jim Jones's first episode went viral
and has spawned a lot of responses and back and
forth and even the teasing of a disc track. And
so I went there with Gigi and Jordi Joor from
lip Service. We had a lip Service episode that was,
by the way, quite entertaining. The show Harlem is coming
(09:34):
back on Prime and so we had Jerry Johnson, who's
one of the stars of the show. She plays the
character Tie on there. And when I tell you, she's
got a fascinating story. Recently got engaged. She's polyamorous. So
you guys are gonna lie when now you wake up.
Speaker 7 (09:51):
I have not been sleeping.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
As soon as I say that word nice, you don't.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Hear a lot of women, you know, claim that. So
that's great.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
And then I went to to the The Just and
the Boys show. They did tell us it was gonna
start at seven. It did not, but I will in
their defense say they fed us well, and they actually
had pomegranate and Kiwi. I've never been someplace where Kiwi's
just on the table like, enjoy some Kiwi, enjoy pomegranate.
Jim Jones was there, Mano showed up. We saw Lola
(10:19):
brook She's so cute and like, I think she is
so pretty. I love her style, bigatality, big music. She's
got a huge personality.
Speaker 7 (10:28):
It's right, so little right right, the biggest gator.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Good things in small packages. So yeah, so that's what
I did last night. Anything any words may know.
Speaker 9 (10:37):
No, it was all good. I was happy that you
came over there. And then we was bobbing and we
did some shots and.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
They gave us Brooklyn chop House.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
Brooklyn you went.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
I seen you go back for three. That was impossible
because you finished everything.
Speaker 7 (10:52):
Wow, not it wasn't.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
But anyway, when we come back. Tell us a secret,
but make it real, all right. Eight hundred fifty one fifty.
Call us up and tell us a secret. Anything that
you've done in the past that you've never told anybody,
or barely anyone knows, or it could be something that
happened recently.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
We won't judge you.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
We're not gonna judge. Mayno, No, I don't And I
just want to be clear.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
People be mad that I don't judge people, but they
love that Mano judge. The whole point is that we're
not supposed to judge people, right, kim We listen and
we don't judge.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
They like your judging.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Tell us
a secret. That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one
fifty this way.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
This is a judgment. Freeze all, tell us a secret.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Everybody calm down, It's time for tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Mano's here, No, Maya.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Kim Osorio is here, kim Oh, kim Oh is in
the building with us.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
Are y'all gonna be able to not judge?
Speaker 9 (11:49):
And I know care I would judge, though, like I
speak from a realistic standpoint, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Judging Okay, so that's your definition we judging.
Speaker 7 (11:59):
It's not judging. It's like, hey, all.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Right, well let's get into it. Let's see how this
goes today. Hello, anonymous caller, tell us your secret.
Speaker 10 (12:05):
A couple of years ago, I was with my son's
mother and left her with my sneaky link and got
engaged to Wait, you.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Were dating your son's mother and then got engaged to
your sneaky link. Absolutely, so then really you were with
the sneaky link.
Speaker 9 (12:21):
I mean, I don't know where you stopped sleeping with
your son's mother. You're still sleeping with your son's mother.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Still even though, but you did get married.
Speaker 7 (12:30):
No, you didn't get married yet. What's the punch in
real time from?
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Okay, so you're getting married. Did your children's mother know
you're getting married?
Speaker 3 (12:42):
She knows, But.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Did she know she was a sneaky link at first?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
She knew a mayor too.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Oh my gosh, I don't know if this marriage gonna work.
Speaker 8 (12:52):
But but you're choosing each other, so it might work
because that's who you really.
Speaker 7 (12:57):
How about you put them together? Oh my god, tell
us how that how that worked out?
Speaker 10 (13:01):
You know?
Speaker 12 (13:03):
For?
Speaker 13 (13:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (13:04):
Amazing?
Speaker 5 (13:04):
All right, Well, thank you for calling hey, ans calin,
how are you? It's a no judgment, Zombie Mano and
kim O, sorry are here? What's your secret?
Speaker 13 (13:16):
Brother?
Speaker 7 (13:16):
We had a three a while ago and I kind
of liked it a little.
Speaker 10 (13:20):
Bit more than I should have.
Speaker 7 (13:21):
You had a threesome with your brother?
Speaker 10 (13:23):
Yeah, we got another dude and then what we kind
of enjoyed each other like we will each other first.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
What do you mean you you and your brother have
sex with each other and another guy?
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (13:38):
Before he no no no need.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Wait your brother before you even had this threesome right.
Speaker 10 (13:47):
Each other's first. It's really not interested. It's more like masturvation.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Because that's your twin. What this can't I don't think
this is you lying.
Speaker 7 (13:57):
First of all, you're calling a pair, you're playing games
on the radio.
Speaker 9 (14:00):
I'm if you don't get your dumb ass off this
radio right now, talking crazy. I'm not judging, but I'm
saying he sounds crazy right now. I don't even believe nothing.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
This is CapMan, But what makes you believe it? I
won't believe it. I don't believe it. This is captain.
If it's true, this is horrible. This is a horri
fying this is despicable.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Then you hung up? How do you top that top
each other?
Speaker 5 (14:23):
All right, well that was tell us a secret, and
that's questionable if you ask me, I don't know what
was that when.
Speaker 7 (14:30):
Yeah, I got to retire from this man because.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
It's like I can't wait for it.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
No, this is crazy.
Speaker 9 (14:36):
I feel like people now trying to outdo the next
outrageous story by calling up with another horrible, despicable, outrageous
story that's even more animated.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Like maybe okay, but anyway, when we come back, we
have your yeet and let's talk about Dre. Since we
have a lawyer here with us, we can talk about
Drake with during this legal action against Universal Music Group
and Spotify.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
All right, it's way up to blow.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
The lid off this spot Let's get it.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
Angelus feeling that ye te come and get to sea.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
It's way up at Angela ye feature ring man O
Kim oh Sorio like sound esquire. Now let's get into
these stories. Iggy Azila, she was talking on live She'm
on Twitch, and of course they asked her about her
ex boyfriend who is also her child's father, Playboy Cardi,
(15:27):
And here's what she had to say.
Speaker 8 (15:29):
Oh, someone saying tell Playboy Cardi to drop.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
I don't speak to him, my love. We haven't heard
from that man in over like six months.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
We don't know where he is.
Speaker 8 (15:38):
We don't know a care.
Speaker 5 (15:40):
She said that they are not co parenting. She's been
raising their son. You gotta think any man that string
might not see there for a while. I just don't
understand how somebody just does not want to see their child.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
I don't understand the ghosting of it all.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Just that is, if you.
Speaker 9 (15:56):
Wear then you gotta understand like, no disrespect. But if
you if any people are.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Doing that in different countries.
Speaker 7 (16:03):
But this is America.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
This is America, all right.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Drake has filed a federal defamation suit against Universal Music
Group after he withdrew his illegal action against UMG and
Spotify over not Like Us. So he officially withdrew that
where he was accusing them of scheming to illegal, illegally
inflate Kenjuck Lamar is not like Us. But they did
file legal paperwork right saying they were withdrawing that petition.
(16:30):
But at the same time, he's now suing Universal Music
Group for spreading the false and malicious narrative that he's
a pedophile, Kim, can you break this down?
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Wow?
Speaker 8 (16:38):
Sure, sure, let me break this down because you like
loser energy like, but yeah, it's I don't know now.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
He says that the label was doing everything it could
to pump up Not Like Us because it knew it
would devalue his music and brand. If you guys recall
this suit and it gave give them leverage and future
contract negotiations. He says he's got bought receipts to show
just how far the lab will went. He also says
that Universal Music Group attached the label chart topper to
Not Like Us despite knowing that title was based on
(17:06):
fraudulent data. And you know the super Bowls coming up,
so we're going to see what happens with that.
Speaker 8 (17:15):
I mean, if he has receipts, look he's talking about
he has like proof that the label did this, then
I understand the decision.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Like, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Yeah, see what it is is.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
People thought when he dropped that initial lawsuit, that meant
that they had come to some type of agreement and
everything was good. But apparently they said he was merely
clearing the way for this new federal case.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
So it's big.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, it's a.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Big to change legislation. And you know, there's.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
Also no direct evidence in this lawsuit that they're going
to try to stop Kendrick Lamar's performance at the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
There's no way can KENJ you do this so.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
Well, there's no evidence that people think that, Like a
lot of people are like, oh, the super Bowl's coming up.
He doesn't want him to perform that at the super Bowl.
That's devastating, That's what some people are thinking it is.
But there's nothing in that lawsuit that says that. But people,
you know, that's the speculation.
Speaker 8 (18:06):
Maybe they're trying to stop him from doing that song, right,
or or telling the super Bowl you gotta bleep that line.
Speaker 9 (18:12):
But that's the song, right, So that is the song
you want to You know that that people going to
want to hear because you're.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Not people are doing all kind of the continue or
you could change it.
Speaker 9 (18:24):
I understand what's Drake coming from, Like how you're gonna
call me, Like how you're gonna be allowed to call
me something that's not even been confirmed. I'm not I've
never been accused of that, Like how y'all allowing that
to spread? So falseness so wildly like that I'm saying Ataphoul,
I will say in this.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
Rap out they both said a lot of untrue things.
Speaker 7 (18:43):
But that also this is a hit.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
That also clears the way for like, now what when
there's a rap at all? You know you know what's right.
But anyway, that is your yeete. When we come back
under the radar, these are the stories that are flying
under the radar. If you thought you could just go
to Starbucks and hang out, guess again, it's.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
Way up in the news relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
It's way up at the Angela yee, I'm here with Manoorial.
We need to do something that's like off the air,
like the banter in between. All right, well let's get
into this under the radar. And now Starbucks has a
new rule. If you are not buying things, you gotta
get out, all right. They had a policy that anybody
(19:25):
could hang out at the cafe, use the restroom without
making a purchase. They wanted to improve the overall experience.
But they have now reversed that policy that was put
in place. Remember they had that huge pr disaster with
the guy who was a customer. They would't let him
use a bathroom. It was or was he there too long?
It was something they handcuffed them black men like it
was awful. So now they are saying, however, if you're
(19:50):
not buying something, you gotta go.
Speaker 8 (19:51):
I spent too much money on Starbucks, but I gotta
go to the bathroom. Y'all gotta let me in.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Right right.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
That's the tough thing too, because you know sometimes I
do have to go to the bathroom too.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
What happens when you got to do number two? When
you see Starbucks? Do you not go in?
Speaker 5 (20:04):
And don't go in after mano if he's right now? Okay,
but that's tough, you know, limiting restroom access at a
time where a lot of times there's nowhere to go
to the bathroom, Like what are you supposed to do
if you're outside walking around doing things and you have
to go. It was nice to know I could run
into Starbucks. A lot of places have like the lock
(20:24):
on the door, like you got to go get the
key code and you got and if I'm working there,
I'm also not trying to beef with you about going
to the bathroom, right, Like imagine you're an employee. How
dangerous a situation could be if somebody needs to use
the bathroom and you're like Siry, you can't let you
buy something.
Speaker 9 (20:40):
It's nobody will gonna stop me from doing this. Number two,
you gonna need to break the national card in here.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
I am.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
I would love to see this go viral if you
can imagine.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
All Right, and President Joe Biden, Tonight is the night
he's going to be delivering his farewell speech from the
Omahafice Joe, and they're going to talk about all of
the things that did happen, like job growth, lower prescription
drug costs, investments, and clean energy to fight climate change.
A lot of things didn't happen, but they did try
(21:10):
to initiate policies and a lot of stuff did get blocked.
But he's going to talk about emerging stronger, more prosperous,
and more secure than we were at the beginning of
him taking office. So you know, the Monday of the
twentieth is when Donald Trump.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Gas was definitely cheaper. I hope it doesn't go back up.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
I can't guarantee nothing.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
All right, Well, today's also a Wealth Wednesday, and we
are going to have Rashad the Laalen Troy Millings Earn
Your Leisure here for their new book, You Deserve to
Be Rich.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
This book came out yesterday.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
I hosted their book launch in Brooklyn, right fully, so
one of my friends hit me from Atlanta. She was like,
it's like church in here, because I guess their next
stop was in Atlanta, and she said it was amazing.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
So shout out to them.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Their book, You Deserve to Be riches out and of
course we got the way it makes at the top
of the hour, Happy Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Sure, she's about to blow the lead ab off this,
but let's get it.
Speaker 6 (21:58):
Oh yeah, angels, come and get the tea.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
It's the way you put angela. Yeah, I'm here with
Maino Kimo, Sirio Kimo. By the way, Kim, as we
get into this et is featured on this documentary on
Peacock that's about Diddy. It's called The Making of a
Bad Boy. It came out yesterday, and this is one
that people have been talking about because I'll be sure
is on here speaking out Kim. Tell me what you
(22:24):
thought about this process and the finished product.
Speaker 8 (22:26):
I thought they did a good job with the doc.
I mean, there are so many docs in development right
now on this right, It's a story that everybody wants
to hear about, So I was intriguing. There were a
lot of things in there that I found out that
I didn't know. Let me just say I was speaking
as a journalist on the culture.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Like I do. So you know I've been doing.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Let's not forget she editor in chief of Resource, first
woman ever to do that, but also a journalist throughout.
I've known you as a journalist since we both started
out right.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
And that's why that's how I was speaking.
Speaker 8 (22:55):
I think people that this is a real sensitive issue
in the community. So I think when people see it,
they're like, oh, what what are you doing on this?
It's not gossip, it's journal I'm actually just speaking about
a very big story and you know that we're all covering.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
All right, Well, I'll be Sure is speaking on here,
and he talked about how Diddy, you know, Albi Shaw
used to day kim Porter. They have a son, Quincy together,
and then people are you know, know that did he
raise Quincy? It was even rumors that he adopted him, right,
And here is what Albi Sure had to say about
kim Porter meeting Diddy at.
Speaker 12 (23:28):
One point I was working on Kasey and Jojo on
one of the soundtracks. Sean came by the studio. I
believe he may have been with Misa, and I was
in the studio with Kimberly and we had the baby
with us at that point. He walked into the studio
and he looked over and he saw this really beautiful
girl and she was holding this really beautiful baby, and
(23:49):
he said, hey, I wish I had a beautiful girl
like that.
Speaker 8 (23:52):
Whole staff watched it happen, and Sean had no shame
in his aggression towards Kim.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
All right.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
And he also said it was guy code, like you
don't go after your home homeboys.
Speaker 7 (24:03):
Woman.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Obviously wasn't his homeboy, right and clearly, I mean clearly
it wasn't that now in retrospect, so I mean. And
then he also had this to say about his son, Quincy, who,
like we just said earlier, people look at it like,
did he adopted Quincy.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 12 (24:22):
There's no adoption, there's no letter to my father and
all that all crafted by a publicist. And if you
haven't noticed, his name is still brown. People thought I
was asking things of that nature. It was basically instructed
by Kimberly. I was told that he wasn't too happy
about anyone who had a relationship with Kimberly. That was
(24:42):
very much under it. Listen, you promise on our son's life,
you know, just stay out of the way, don't don't
get involved being told please don't do that, tough guy,
mout brn.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
You will get killed.
Speaker 7 (24:53):
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
And you know, I know that he does feel like
the coma that he was in previously could potentially.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
Have been he didn't want to go back. What want
to go back to that?
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Well, he's saying potentially it could have been, you know, yeah,
And he's not the only person that said that.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
People spoke.
Speaker 7 (25:11):
What was he diagnosed with that ended him in the coma?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
I mean, listen, there's a lot of different theories. I
don't want to misspeak about.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
What actually got it. But he let somebody take his son.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
I think from what he's saying, and I want to
understand this properly, is that kim Porter felt like she
was in danger and that he was in danger and
basically was like, look, I'm just asking you to please
just stay out the way. And he also did say,
and he said this to me personally, that he and
Quincy had did have a relationship. It just wasn't public
(25:42):
because puff would have been you.
Speaker 7 (25:44):
Know, who knows.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
I mean every situation is Yeah, I can't speak on
what that man's situation is. But if and Kim, have
you ever had to beg a guy like please, just
I'm just begging you from me for our family, like
just x Y and Z just do this, and.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
Yeah, don't I don't know what. They can't come around
and you can't.
Speaker 9 (26:03):
You can't come around our son because my new guy
is it's gonna.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
Hurt you and me.
Speaker 8 (26:08):
Well, I would never do that to my kids. But
you know, we don't know what the situation was.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
So scary.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
It's just hard because ken Porter is not here to
tell her side, so we can't send.
Speaker 7 (26:18):
He's definitely telling his side down.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
I mean he's.
Speaker 7 (26:20):
Allowed to do that absolutely.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
All right, Well that is your yet when we come back.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Man, No, I know you've had a lot of things
you want to express today and you've been in the news.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
A lot lately.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
So's nobody's still my son.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
Let's talk about it. It's way up girl.
Speaker 6 (26:32):
Everybody since whether it's relationship or career advice.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Angela's dropping facts sho.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
You should know this is as what's up?
Speaker 5 (26:40):
Its way up at the Angela. Yee, I'm here, Chimosorrio's here,
Mano's here. I ask ye time eight hundred to nine
fifty one fifty. We have L on the line.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Hey, L.
Speaker 10 (26:51):
How you doing good?
Speaker 4 (26:52):
How you doing?
Speaker 10 (26:54):
I'm good?
Speaker 4 (26:55):
What's your question today? Please?
Speaker 10 (26:57):
Okay?
Speaker 14 (26:58):
So I'm messing with someone younger than me, okay, and
he needs a lot of guidance and I was already married,
you know, got to be like I am comfortable in life.
Speaker 10 (27:08):
So I wanted to know I leave him alone? But
should I can? Like you don't guide him a little bit,
like you know, mold him.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
I want him, mold him?
Speaker 7 (27:16):
Well you want him?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Yeah, what do you want?
Speaker 10 (27:19):
You know what it is? He's do a little bit
in the streets and want to hang with the friends
a lot. He's not out of that mold yet.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (27:27):
It's like, no, sometimes you have to do some problem
with me.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
Oh my god, man, who knows you well? You said
you were married before. How serious is this relationship to you?
Because it feels like you want to mold him. First
of all, you can never really mold somebody to be
the person you want them to be. But how like,
how seriously are you taking this or are you just
trying to have fun?
Speaker 14 (27:53):
That was the thing that was supposed to be fine,
but you know, it's like he was like, no, I
want you to be my girl, but I don't know.
I'm like the first battye he ever got me.
Speaker 9 (28:01):
I'm not okay, Baddy, better be like that so sudden
right now?
Speaker 7 (28:06):
You better be like that we checking Instagram pages. Better
be like that.
Speaker 10 (28:14):
Oh no, I am don't do that for me.
Speaker 15 (28:16):
But I feel like he's cashing out like.
Speaker 10 (28:18):
He's doing as far as taking care of me. But
it's just a you know, like free Tom.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Should I teach him how.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
To do that?
Speaker 14 (28:24):
Because you know he's only like twenty three.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
Like the way a person acts is not always about
their age. Sometimes it is like their mentality to maturity,
because you could be a very mature twenty three year
old or you could be thirty three and mad and mature.
So it's not even necessarily just about that. It's about
his ambition. It's about you know, you also want to
feel secure like somebody's got you, even if he hasn't
achieved and accomplished at the age of twenty three everything
(28:48):
that you have, So don't put too much expectations on him,
because trying to mold him into something you can't.
Speaker 9 (28:55):
Do that, right, Just get you a couple of different dudes,
though him for what he good for.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
Get you another guy, Get you a couple of different guys.
Speaker 10 (29:04):
Oh no, yeah, I'm definitely outside.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Don't give me.
Speaker 14 (29:07):
But you know, he's trying to fake on my body.
He's trying to keep me closed. So I'm like, I
don't want to be too close.
Speaker 10 (29:11):
If you you know, you can't be who I need
you to be.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
All right, Yeah, just don't take it seriously. But you
also listen, there's also nothing wrong with you giving him, like,
you know, just some advice like X, Y and Z,
right right.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Do you have any kids?
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (29:26):
Okay, so you're already raising your kids. You don't want
to have another one to raise.
Speaker 10 (29:30):
That's exactly what I'm saying. I feel like I'm raising
a third child.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Right, Well, you know what it is.
Speaker 14 (29:34):
I'm gonna just have my phone and then I'm gonna drop.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
On tell me about it.
Speaker 7 (29:38):
Listen, d M men, we'll talk about it.
Speaker 10 (29:41):
I'm gonnaree of you.
Speaker 14 (29:42):
I'm gonna say what's up.
Speaker 10 (29:43):
I'm like the side girl. You're gonna know it all right.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Listen, Mano is ready to be molded, right, I'm.
Speaker 7 (29:49):
Ready to be molded. I'm very molded me And is
anything you want? Good?
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Locke?
Speaker 7 (29:57):
Right, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
I appreciate you all right.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through,
you can still leave a message and when we come back,
earn your leisure. It is a Wealth Wednesday. That is
Tory Millings and Mishad Belau joining us. Their book You
Deserve to Be Rich is out right now.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
It's way up kind of dream of wealthy and I
don't mind sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially,
mentally and physically.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
This is Wealth Wednesday, on way up with Angela.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Ye, what's up?
Speaker 5 (30:27):
Its way up at Angela yee for a Wealth Wednesday
and Stacey tisda My partner's.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Here with me.
Speaker 16 (30:31):
Happy Wealth Wednesdays everybody. It is National Financial Wellness Month
and we are bringing you what Forbes calls the cultural
kings of financial literacy. They need no introduction.
Speaker 7 (30:43):
I like that. Earn your lesia, Yeah, I like.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
That and blao, thank you guys for joining us.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
Thank you for having us. It's a privilege and an
honor to.
Speaker 16 (30:53):
Be amongst you, and we are celebrating today because yesterday, yeah,
it's you Deserve to be Rich came out or so
for you. This is awesome, beautiful, it's really really a
great book.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
I got a little advanced copy in and managed to
read most of it.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, I did you know?
Speaker 5 (31:09):
We do Wealth Wednesdays and there's topics on here that
I'm so familiar with because we also like similar to
what you guys do. We definitely are also always trying
to make sure that we are giving whatever financial information
that we can to people, bringing on experts.
Speaker 16 (31:24):
Straight off the bat from the title of your book,
you Deserve to be Rich? Why the word deserve and
what did you want to convey with that?
Speaker 17 (31:31):
Yeah, I think a lot of times people, you know,
coming from working class environments, you don't feel that you're
actually worthy of riches. You think that it's out of
the rum of possibility. And a lot of times we're
put in situations where we think that the middle of
the road is the end journey. So the first thing
(31:52):
we're going to talk about stocks and real estate and
credit and all that stuff. But the first thing that
we had to do was actually get people to understand
that they actually are worthy of being rich. That it's
not an impossible dream. It's not something that's so far fetched.
It's not something that's only for entertainers and athletes like that.
Every average day person that comes from any background can
(32:14):
achieve financial freedom for financial success. So read wiring the
mindset of people is extremely important.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
It's well to Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Stacy Tisdale is here of course, and we are talking
too Rashabalal and Troy Millings aka Earn your Leisure because
they would say, like, you know, money can't buy you happiness.
A lot of times people equate money with being evil
and not something that you should aspire toward. But why
shouldn't we aspire toward that? And why shouldn't we feel
like we deserve to do that?
Speaker 15 (32:44):
Yeah, I think it goes back to like the first
line of book. I'm always interested when people open it
and see the first line is the American dream is
a lot right, because we've been told, you know, it's
the white pick defense and it's the big house, and
it's the two and a half kids, which is impossible,
and it's the dog, and you realize that dreams aren't monolithic, right,
and so people fall into that happened like, this is
what I have to do.
Speaker 7 (33:05):
This is what I have to do. I have to
work harder to obtain it.
Speaker 15 (33:08):
And if you study wealth, people work smart more than
they work hard. But it's a mindset, right, Like we
have to see it and we have to believe it,
but we always have to be around it. And in
our communities too many times we are not around it.
Speaker 7 (33:19):
Right.
Speaker 15 (33:19):
We don't have close proximity to what wealth looks like.
So the first thing and to get wealth is well,
somebody gotta get rich, right, we all say, like you
only get somebody, just do it once and then we
can become wealthy and we can make it sustainable, we
can make a generational But it starts with that mindset, like,
all right, let's debunk everything, let's retrain, let's rethink, let's
start over. So that's what this book feels like for everybody.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
All right, earn your leasures in the building.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
You deserve to be riches out right, Now, let's make
it a New York Times bestseller.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
We have more with them when we come back for
Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
We had a dream of politically wealthy and I don't
mind sharing my wealth dogs.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (33:58):
His Way Up with Angela Yee. I'm here with girl
Stacy Tisdale. It's a Wealth Wednesday and we're talking to
my guys Rashad Balau and Troy Millings Earn Your Leisure
and y'all talk about viral questions that happen on social media,
which is always a fun thing because, like I said,
this is a really relatable book for anybody. Right, So
one of those questions that you guys had on there
is about co.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Signing, right.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
I got to ask y'all, like, if a family member
did ask you to co sign, because that's a hard thing,
you know what I mean when it comes to family
and money, would you tell them no?
Speaker 15 (34:27):
I mean, I've learned, and this is again something we
talk about, like becoming the CEO of the family and
understanding that knows a complete sentence.
Speaker 7 (34:34):
The education around it is important. Right, So if I'm
gonna tell them.
Speaker 15 (34:37):
I'm gona tell them why I'm telling them though, right,
because it might not even be a great decision for you.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
To even have this, this being don't want to be
an enabler.
Speaker 15 (34:43):
Right, you may you can't afford this, right, or your
credit might be the issue why you need the co
sign So let's deal with the issue, right, why is
your credit in shambles?
Speaker 7 (34:52):
Right?
Speaker 15 (34:52):
Like, how can we improve that so that the next
time when you try to get this loan or whatever
it is, you won't need a coat signing you're doing
it so so like the definite advance is important, that
the education of why you're giving the answer, I think
it is equally as important.
Speaker 17 (35:04):
Like even loaning money, you shouldn't ask to borrow money
from somebody if you know you can't.
Speaker 7 (35:08):
Pay it back.
Speaker 17 (35:08):
But also you shouldn't loan money to somebody that you
can't pay you back. It's irresponsible on both on both
people's decisions. So if I'm gonna do something for you,
then I'll do it out of love and I'm not
expecting to get the money back. If I get it back,
then it's a blessing. And then if somebody is continuously
asking you for money, then that's that's your fault for
actually having that type of energy around you.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
And you guys are very explicit in this book also
about not trying to shame people for being in the
situation that they're in.
Speaker 15 (35:35):
That's why I think it's important that conversations that had
early on.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
It's a Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Stacey Tisdale is here, of course, and we are talking
too Rasha Balal and Troy Millings aka Earn your Leisure. Well,
listen you guys, I'm of course excited about this. You
deserve to be rich, master the inner game of wealth
and claim your future.
Speaker 16 (35:53):
Their book came out yesterday. Everybody should get it. One
final thing and the book tour is happening.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
This is the.
Speaker 16 (36:00):
Week that some of those January first resolutions.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
Start to get a little fuzzy.
Speaker 16 (36:06):
What advice do you have for people to stick to
their financial resolutions?
Speaker 7 (36:10):
Use history as the greatest lesson.
Speaker 15 (36:12):
Right, if you created a resolution in twenty twenty four,
how did your year go?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Right?
Speaker 7 (36:16):
Did the goal as a plan?
Speaker 15 (36:18):
If you know that's happening, it's a historic lineage of
you not sticking to your plan and your life has
been in the same position it's time for correct.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Don't give money to people who don't have any.
Speaker 7 (36:27):
And don't give money you don't cott what was.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Your face of advice?
Speaker 7 (36:30):
Face to six your resolution?
Speaker 17 (36:32):
You gotta break your goals up into different time frames
because it gets overwhelming if it's just one big goal,
like if you have a goal to make one hundred
thousand dollars, like, that's not really a goal, that's a wish.
You got to break it down the smaller goals and
that makes it more attainable. Our yearly goal is okay,
but a monthly goal is good, a weekly goal is better,
and a daily goal is the best. Conquer the day
one day at a time. That's real. That's real, like
(36:53):
one day at a time. Sometimes we get ahead of ourselves.
Then we get frustrated. That's when you quit, I'm gonna
lose fifty pounds, no pathway to do it, and then
you just missed the gym, Like I just I need
I need to work out for one hour every day.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
Yeah I can't.
Speaker 17 (37:06):
I can't control the results, But odds are if you
work out for one hour every day, if you stop
drinking soda, if you if you just conquer the day,
you're gonna see results in three months.
Speaker 16 (37:15):
All right, thank you guys for normalizing the wealth conversation
in our community.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
Honestly, I check them out on the book tour and
