thirty year old African American entrepreneur and she's the founder

(02:26):
of Virtue fin Precision Solutions. So what it does is
it helps low income families in all fifty states she
launches during the last tax season. They provide comprehensive virtual
tax prep services, credit repair, and essential financial education to
meet the needs of the community, all while you're at home,
so you don't even have to go in you know,
some people may never go in to do that, but

(02:47):
if you can just go virtually and make that happen.
She wants to make a difference in the lives of
those that she serves. So she also is trained in
and dedicated to helping low income families, families affected by
the recent hurricane. Is that it's essential workers small business
owners who want to maximize their deductions because sometimes when
you go to certain places, they also just do the

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Don't want to dig deep and try to help more.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
So I think that's an amazing thing. So shout out
to Tabiya Shannon. Now, Nick, who do you want to
shine a light on you?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
My daughter wants to do it for me.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Okay, okay?

Speaker 10 (03:23):
I love my mom everything day and every single night,
every day. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
That is you love your mom and you want to
shine a light.

Speaker 11 (03:34):
Yes, I love that.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
What's your mommy's name?

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Nick? Okay? What's your name?

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Ayana?

Speaker 5 (03:43):
A Yanna? How about are you Ayana six?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Six? Okay? You're a big girl.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
All right, Well, thank you Ayana. Shout out to your mom.

Speaker 12 (03:51):
Nick.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Y'all are so cute.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
Thank you have a good big guy.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yeah, that was so cute.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
That's where my heart that was shining light eight one
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty if you couldn't
get through. And when we come back, we have your
ET man. These allegations metha Man and Busta rhymes, what
is going on?

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Will tell you what?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
The two of them both are facing right now and
metha Man is denying these allegations.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
We'll talk about it.

Speaker 9 (04:16):
It's way up they say in the rooms from industry
shade to all the gossip out and Angelus spieling that
et all right, it's.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Way up at the Angela Yee, my girl Jasmine is here.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, it's not just brand on my own brand.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
So listen to this. Let's get into this et kit cutting.
His house got broken into.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Apparently the person that did that also made some food,
used the bathroom, took a shower.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
And what did they clean up after themselves?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
I doubt it.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I doubt it, but they said he was discovered Wednesday
around five pm when a shirtless man was seeing on
his security system hanging out in the kitchen. That's when
deputies rushed to his estate caught him red handed. But
he had already done all of those things. He was
taken into custody and booked for felony, burglarly and burglarly
and theft. I can't say a burglary and theft of utilities.

Speaker 13 (05:05):
It's I'm laughing, but it's not funny. That's scary. But
it is funny though, because he just didn't break in it.
No one got hurt, Yeah, yeah, no one.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
And I think he was unhoused and that's you know, yeah,
it sounds like why he did that, all right? Well,
meta man is denying these allegations of assault at a
gym in Staten Island.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
The New York Post reported this.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
According to this report, he was involved in a scuffle
at Crunch and met. The man punched another man in
the face seven times with the closed fist.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
They said.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
The victim is the ex boyfriend of his twenty eight
year old daughter, who allegedly dated her more than a
decade ago. This man allegedly refused medical attention at the scene. Now,
if you recall Shy who is his daughter, has been
on this show before.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
She's an artist.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
She's amazing yep to By the way, here's what you
have to say about dating and her parents.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
Okay, my dad, he's not like you can look at
him and be like, oh that guy, like he's mean, scary,
but he's really not like he just he'd be like
what's up and go about his day. But then at
the end of the day he'll pull me asout, like
what's up with that? Who's that going on?

Speaker 7 (06:07):
And all of that.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
And then my mom is the same way, but she's
more like forthcoming with it. She's gonna check you in
your face, like what you got going on?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Spinning round?

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Okay, Okay, that's true.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
So it feels like he'd be a chill person. And
he's already released a statement denying this. If you look,
there's no arrest that was made.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
So I saw a mug shop, but it was from
AI so it was fake.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Yeah, yeah, so yes, that's that all right, And he's
not known for doing things like that. You know how
some people be like.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
It sounded like a good stand.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, Bust Rhymes turned himself in for assault after an
alleged altercation.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
This happened January tenth.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
They're saying he got into an argument with his with
Dashio Gables over being on the phone during work hours
and the lobby of his building in downtown Brooklyn. They
said the dispute escalated into violence when he ended up
slugging him several times in the face.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Oh no, it's slugging. So you know this came from
TMZ who uses that word, right. They said.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
He took off after the alleged assault, and that's when
Gables called nine to one one. He was rushed to
a local hospital to be treated for an eye injury.
So Buster Rhymes did turn himself in. He did get
a desk appearance ticket from misdemeanor assault, attempted assault and harassment.
All right, well that is your ut. When we come back,
we have about last night, Jasmine. You got into New
York last night, I did, and you were with me

(07:26):
as I was getting ready for this is going to
be a big week for me coming up today in particular,
we'll talk about it.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
It's wing up. But right now, let's hear some Drake
before we talk about his lawsuit later. It's way nice.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
So about last night, Yes, I went.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Down last nice way up with Jasmine Brand on my
own brand.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
Listen, last night.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
It was a night finally I had a lot of
running around to do. So you don't have a coffee shop.
Buffy uplifts people, where's it in Brooklyn? It's in Brooklyn.
I'm bet for the Gates.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
People always tell me I don't talk about it enough.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Okay, so let's talk about it.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Let's talk about it.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Because we had gotten our liquor license and now we
are going to we just installed the bar.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Hold on excuse me, liquor license a big deal.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
It was a process.

Speaker 12 (08:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
How long did it take for you to get Maybe
like a year. It's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah, it's a big deal to even be able to
be eligible to get one. And so now we are
going to We just installed the bar, so we're finishing up.
There's a couple of things that still have to be done,
so we're going to be kind of testing it out.
But now we'll have something that's open in the evening.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Also so I can have an espresso martini, the.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Best espresso martini that you could ever have, and also
the best hot tiddies because we.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Do have our own routies and everything.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
So I'm just I just want this to be like
a nice, high quality experience for people.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
You know, the bar area is not that big because
it's really a coffee shop.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
But from four to six we're going to have a
happy hour and then after that it's going to be like,
you know, like a lounge.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Type of fiel.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Wow, that's really big.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
I told Dan to have his birthday, but he told
me no, Ye a hater.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
But yeah, So we'll be testing it out and that's
basically what I've been focused on aside from being here.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Also, we'll be in Detroit.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
We're going to Detroit tomorrow for the Auto show and
for the Big Show.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
So we'll be out there over the weekend. Martin Luther
King weekend, what.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I tell So, we'll be there and we're going to
check out our building.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
We had it.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
We had a zoom about our building yesterday. When I
tell you, it's been NonStop activities happening. We had a
zoom about our building, which is pretty much done. We
have one last inspection, and then we had a meeting
with our management company for the building yesterday for Detroit.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
We were both on the goal doing the meeting. I
was all on the train.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
You was in the car.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
I was bringing glasses and I was bringing the bar
over like the led bar over to my new location shop.
When I tell you it was not going on a
lot going on at once, but everything is starting to
finally come together. That was really my goal for twenty
twenty five to tie up all the.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
Loose ends that I have.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yeah, you know, stop doing things that aren't serving me
or a stressing me out too much because work being
an entrepreneur is stressful. But there has to be some
type of light at the end of the tunnel, at
the end of there or some days that lights. All right, well,
that is about last night when we come back, is
tell us a secret?

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Oh, y'all been.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Wilding out here.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
I just want to say eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty your secrets are getting me in trouble
because it's a no judgment zone, and listeners and people
on social media who not maybe don't listen to the
show all the time and don't understand what it is
are furious that you're not judging that I'm not here.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Yes, so stupid, you did know. The point is, it's
a no judgment zone and you're anonymous.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up,
tell us a secret. That's eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one to fifteen.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
It's way up at Angela. Ye, I'm here, Jasmine brand
is here.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
I'm not just any brands on my own brand.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
And it is a judgment free zone. Disclosure.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Our producer Dan, it's his birthday and I had navy
going who runs our bords running and say there was
an emergency, right, And he came in here like he
didn't know what was going to happen, and we were like.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
He was so irritated, y'all, I thought the station was
on fire.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
All right, We want to hear your secrets.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty fifty anonymous call,
I tell us your secret.

Speaker 14 (11:21):
I've been married to a man for ten years and
like women.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
Did you like women before you got married or is
this something you discovered yet?

Speaker 15 (11:29):
I liked women before I got married, but I could
not be with a woman in public because I'm from
the South and my mom and my dad they just
don't play that type of stuff.

Speaker 14 (11:39):
I couldn't be out and open with a woman. And
I want a kid. So I married a man.

Speaker 7 (11:44):
I love him.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
I will never.

Speaker 14 (11:45):
Divorce him, but I just can't stop thinking about women.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
You think you'll ever act on it or have you?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (11:52):
I tried to get him to get down with me,
but he's not going for it. He doesn't want any
type of three sims or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
So he knows you like women as well.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Well, No, he doesn't know.

Speaker 14 (12:02):
He just thinks that I want to have fun, but
he doesn't know that I constantly think about women.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
You should have married me, No, because he would have
loved that.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
But I don't know if you answered this directly. Have
you been with a woman sexually yet?

Speaker 14 (12:14):
YESIP with one. It's just never panned out because I
couldn't be out in the open with that.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
You think your life will ever feel complete if you're
not with the person, like the person that you want.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
To be with, if you're not free to be who
you are, I don't think so.

Speaker 14 (12:29):
I think it's purely sexual for my husband. Okay, I
think the love part that I have for my husband
will never be painted by what I really want.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
Well, maybe you need to just watch some porn in yourself.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
That I do. Let.

Speaker 14 (12:44):
I'm scared he's gonna get in my history, my brows history.
I think he would go crazy if I told him
that I.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Hate that you have that secret to yourself though, that
you have to keep lots you can't be yourself.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
But she loves her husband.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
She said, it's just I don't like I like women
and women.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
Okay, but not look like me. But I talk about it.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
See now, everybody, what's your Instagram? But thank you for calling.
I appreciate it, and good luck with that. All right,
Maybe one day he'll come around. Maybe not all right,
all right, she said, he'll go crazy. All right, Well
that was tell us a secret eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
could leave a message and leave your secret that way,
And when we come back, we have your yee te.
Speaking of women, let's talk about Ari Fletcher and Tiana Williams.

(13:29):
They both have children with Gee Herbo, but now they
both are cool with each other.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
We'll tell you about their link up. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Oh, she's about to blow the lid ab off this spot.
Let's get it. Angela's feeling that yee te, Come and
get your tea.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
It's way up at Angela, yee.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I'm here with my girl, jazzmin brand on my own
brand yea tea time. It is so nice when people
can blend their families together effectively and get along, especially
for the women and for the men to who are
maybe they have kids and yep, it's it's the best
for the kids.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
It's the best for the kids.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Well, people are going crazy because Ari Fletcher and Tiana
Williams have linked up. They did a special episode of
Ari's cooking series on her YouTube channel, Dinner with the
don and they got a chance to discuss a lot
of their issues.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Hopefully this helps other people that might be going through it.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
They discussed when Ari's son that she has with you,
herbo yo son had an issue basically accusing Tiana of.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Well you're here. Here's what they said.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Okay, so did you put your hands on my son?

Speaker 5 (14:30):
You know I did not touch her son.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
They don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
We had a conversation. She said that she wrote my
birthday my image. I want your image.

Speaker 11 (14:40):
Can you imagine to have child abuse for you?

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Did you think that I was lying? I don't, but
full transparent.

Speaker 11 (14:48):
I thought like maybe he was getting like coached because
she didn't mess with me.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
So Ari put some recordings online of her son back
in twenty twenty two, your son who accused Talana throwing
a pillow at him, causing him to fall and never
helped him up. And Tina then shared you know, sweet
moments that she had with him on Instagram.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
So it turned into a whole thing.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
And I remember those days too.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
It would be sensitive issue as they should be very well.
Already gave her side of things.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
So your sign came home and I was just asking him,
you know, like about you know how it was when
he was he was going out in La and you know,
I was just checking on him and then he had
like a mark on him while like a what was
it like a scab or something.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
I mean, I'm like, I'm asking that he got that,
and he was like, oh I did that.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
And if the kid tells you something, you know, people
are like they're not lying, but kids do sometimes just
make things up.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
Especially Yeah, yeah, I know because I was a kid
at once.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Now.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Tanya also gave her side of the story.

Speaker 11 (15:50):
Okay, you know what, I think that's them from what
he wanted to go out with his dad every time
his dad went out, and I feel like every time
he would just be like, you're leaving me here. But
it was late at night, So I don't know if
maybe that was like a way to make him be
able to.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Like be with his dad.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Only Okay, he's manipulative. He's smart baby, He's a smart child.
He's gonna be a genius in life.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
All right.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Well, the other things they discussed during this conversation was
how Tina got with you her but right after Ari
gave birth to your son, and sometimes y'all could have
got along, but it's just beefing over a man. Different
things being said, no one knows the full story. So
now that they're older, she explained that she has accountability
because she could have did things differently and played a

(16:39):
part in the drama, and Ari admitted, you know her
part too. So nice to see that they don't have
a contentious relationship. People are sure of it at all anymore.
And what a great way to monetize on YouTube. All right,
Well that is your ut when we come back under
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
and the headlines. They're flying under the radar, but you

(16:59):
definitely need to know about them. There's a polar vortex coming,
ladies and gentlemen. It's going to affect a lot of us.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
It's way up.

Speaker 9 (17:05):
Position in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
It's way I put Angela Yee and Jasmine Brand is
here with I'm I'm my own brand. Happy birthday again
to Dan our producer and also to beat at today's
birthday too. Oh cool guy, entire times as well, all
the capricorns.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
All right, well under the radar.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Most of the US is going to be having a
life threatening cold polar vortex next week, and they said
it's a perfect time to hop on a plane and
go somewhere south. It's a potentially life threatening cold due
to a disrupted polar vortex. And they said it's going
to dip to the south and move into the US
this weekend and into next week. These are the types

(17:45):
of weather systems that even bring cold air to Florida.
And they're saying in Atlanta it's going to be extremely
cold too, and you know, they're not used today.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
They just had snow, I know, which was a big
deal for them.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
And the temperature is going to drop into the teens
in Atlantaesh, you guys, please be safe and be careful.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
I'm so nervous. I'm already cold.

Speaker 13 (18:04):
Now, you know what, I'm more nervous. I'm thinking about
do I have groceries? And I'm not gonna be able
to go to the grocery store before all this, you know, Oh.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
My goodness, All right now, all of you people on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
The Supreme Court ruled today that a controversial ban on
TikTok may take effect this weekend. They rejected an appeal
from TikTok's owners that claim the band violated the First Amendment,
and the decision followed warnings from the Biden administration that
the app post a grave national security threat. Now, yesterday
we saw that Biden had said he was willing to

(18:35):
leave it up to Trump, yes, and let them take
responsibility for that. But you know, the Supreme Court acknowledge
for one hundred and seventy million Americans, TikTok offers a
distinctive and expansive outlet for expression, means of engagement, and
a sort of source of community. But Congress has focused
on national security concerns and that was a deciding factor
on how it weighed the case. They said, it's they

(18:56):
have to address a well supported national security concerns regarding
TikTok's data collection practices and relationship with the foreign adversary.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Okay, so if it's if it's sold by then we're good.

Speaker 5 (19:08):
Maybe by Sundays.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
But you got today's They said it's valued at three
hundred billion dollars.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Oh goodness.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
I don't know anybody with that type of money because
I would have been tapped into them.

Speaker 15 (19:19):
You don't.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
You don't know.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
Why would bed like, Jasmine, I have somebody I need
you to get it.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
I'm like, please, you know, I say, not a problem,
not a problem.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
All right, So yes, just get ready for that because
your content you're not even gonna be able to log in,
I know. So the main thing if you have things
that are just on TikTok that you don't have anywhere
else that.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
You're gonna want to keep, get it off there. Make
sure you get it.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
People make money off TikTok that it's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yeah, but what did we do before TikTok existed. People
are going over to different apps now and trying to
figure out how they can use I'm not.

Speaker 13 (19:52):
Saying it's not possible, but I'm just saying, just think
if someone took your platform that you make the most
money off of it just sucks.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Yeah, it's you know, it is what it is.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
It's part of this part of the game.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
You know, think of all those people that were linking
up on MySpace.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
People were making money like or maybe they were on.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
The monetization thing is a real thing though. All right,
well that is you're under the radar. We got the
Way Up Mix at the top of the hour.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
Plus Rory Wood Junr.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Is gonna be joining us. His stand up special is
on Hulu right now. It's called Lonely Flowers. You know,
I watched it twice already.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
It is so funny.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
I love Roy Woo Jr. I think he's so smart,
so funny, smart, funny. I wanted him to be the
host of the Daily Show. And unfortunately, or maybe fortunately
because it looks like great positive things are happening. But
we're going to talk about it with him.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
It's way up, just like the like they Angela Jean,
like they Angela.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Jean and she's spilling it all this is yeaty.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
Well, it's way up with Angela.

Speaker 8 (20:47):
Yea.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
I'm here with my gir to jazzmine brand.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
I'm not just I'm my own brand.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
I just made up some coffee uplifts people coffee with
some once upon a coconut choate coconut water. Where can
you buy your coffee online Amazon on our target? All right,
now let's get into some yet. So let's let's talk
about comedians because We'reriwoo. Junia is going to be joining
us later. He's got a special in Hulu Lonely Flowers.
It's out today, done Rowlings. He was on Club Sha

(21:13):
Shay and he discussed a lot of different things when
he was on the wire.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
He could not stand it just out. But here's what
he said.

Speaker 8 (21:21):
I hated that when he was on the show because
they had these women called the String of Bells or something.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah, he had.

Speaker 8 (21:26):
Fans everywhere, right, and then I would meet girls and
they was like, what's you on the wife?

Speaker 1 (21:31):
And I thought it was about time to shine, right,
And he was like yeah. They'd be like, could you
introduce us to string the bell? I was like, I
was like, you want to string the bear?

Speaker 7 (21:39):
Right?

Speaker 1 (21:39):
But when they killed him, I was like, yeah, where
your man at now?

Speaker 5 (21:43):
I don't Shannon Shuf's laugh is crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
It's very stinking. I don't remember Donnelle on the wire.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
I knew him back then, so you know, he was
also on that show The Corner before that.

Speaker 13 (21:53):
I watched The Corner too. Here's show. Yeah, exam okay, cool,
that's cool though, that's fun.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
He's so funny.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
I know, listen.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I met it just the first season of the Wire
because my boy Hassan played Webey.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
And they used to be together all the time.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
That was a great show.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Listen, they're trying to bring up you know, some of
the actors are trying to do that themselves. And shout
out to my guy Jamie Hector, to Banga Kena. They
had some of the best people on that show.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
I love Jamie's character too.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Marlowe, he was hard.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
When I first met him, I was intimidated, like he's
not like that, right nice in real life. He's like, hey,
has a completely different person.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
He's a good actor.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
That's great, all right.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Now. Another thing that he talked about was that picture.
And I want to say, when this Diddy news broke,
I remember how excited Dinelle was to have gone on
this boat with Dave and with Dave Chappelle and Diddy,
and I think French Montana was there and it was
like a family that he had his son. You know,
he had all these pictures. He was sending them to
me and he was thrilled. But that picture later came

(22:55):
back to haunt him. The reason why is he is
literally sitting in between Ditty's legs. And so here's what
he said about that.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
But it was the fact that you're between the mad leg.
Though I wasn't in between him. I didn't even know
he was back there.

Speaker 8 (23:06):
I can't see you in the front, so I run
around the side I couldn't see and I didn't even
know I turned.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
It just so happened.

Speaker 8 (23:13):
You photo Bob, and you between the mad leg. That's,
you know what a photo bomb. And I was in
an awkward position. You don't got to say between the
some BLEVEs you need. You got the wrong word.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Play, You got the wrong word play.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
And I did tell Donelle thank god he wasn't invited,
because he would have stayed.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Donnelle definitely would. He would have had a time.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
And you know what he told me.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
He said that he was invited, and Dave was like, Noah.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
They know his friend, they know his friend.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
We're leaving.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
He's like, no, Donelle, some people can hear the things
you cannot and ain't nice when you know your friends.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
It's nice when your friends look out for you. You
need me to send him a thank.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
You cardew all right, well that is your you t
When we come back. It is a Friday, so we
know we got new music Friday for you guys. But
don't forget Roy. But Junior is going to be joining
us today as well. He's definitely one of my favorites.
I did this show on Facebook called Mastery of Comedy
and he's one of the comedians on there.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
It's way up.

Speaker 9 (24:10):
This is fresh out of the studio five. It's new
Music Friday, A way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yee.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Yes, it's way up with Angela yee. Jasmine brand is he?

Speaker 3 (24:20):
I'm not just on my own brand.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Happy Friday, Happy birthday Dan? Oh yeah, I producer Dan
and to be that happy birthday to beat at. Let's
get into some new music. So Mac Miller has a
posthumous album out. It's called Balloonarism. This was his previously
shelved twenty fourteen album. This has been teased during Tyler
the Creators Festival in la and so we knew this

(24:45):
was going to come at some point and in a
social media post that happened in November. His estate described
this project as being of great importance to Malcolm to
the extent that he commissioned artwork for it, and discussions
concerning when it should be released where had regularly, though
ultimately the Good Am and subsequent albums ended up taking
president precedents. Okay, all right, So here is the song

(25:05):
funny Papers on.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
The Signora Smile.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I randomly miss Mac Miller sometimes, yeah, because he was
living in Brooklyn.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
You were hanging out. Yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Now, Busta Rhymes has an EP out, the Awakened Dragon
Season the Awakening EP and here is a song featuring
YG Marley.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
I like this.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
It's called Treasure and Gold.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Understanding.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
When does he make things? Okay?

Speaker 4 (25:40):
All right?

Speaker 5 (25:40):
Why G Marley?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Also out today, Mick Jenkins has an EP five songs,
is called Type Ish, and he posted this project for me.
It's sort of it is what it is statement. As
I entered this next phase of my journey in music,
the focus is true independence. Even biz helps me accomplish
that goal like no other platform. I asked that my
true fans take this journey with me. So this is
direct to consumer. He said, we have a lot of

(26:03):
music content, events and shows coming your way, even via
even this year. All right o, and BPS Drifting Away
is out today. We got to get him up here.
Our logic, all right, Dan, Dan loves logic and this
is a hold on lots to put out Aquarius three
EP on your birthday.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
Wow, what a gift. Sorry, riff Raff. Welcome to Shaolin
is out today.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
And then single Centralcy featuring twenty one Savage gbpre stay
on the start court side at the next game the
other day with h Little Yachty and Tony Yayo nice
all right, also out today my guy Jay Rock and
two eleven. Here is black Dynamite.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Ship on my shoulder like our pride wave.

Speaker 9 (26:48):
To get bench on ship still try and ride the
wave invested in my fishing out of money, Come onway
all right?

Speaker 5 (26:53):
Well that is your new music.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
And when we come back, ask ye eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty any.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
Question you have.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Jasmine and I are here to help you out. Eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Dan for your birthday.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
We need to shake that. Here's some boss Mandy.

Speaker 9 (27:07):
Lo okay, everybody hat since with it's relationship for career advice,
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
You should know this is as D.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
What's up this way you put? Angela? Yee, I'm here
with my girl, Jasmine Brand.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yes, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
I feel like we give each other advice all the time.
We actually do eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Now we're here to help you out. And today we
have somebody on the line who is asking to remain
anonymous to.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Talk to us.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
What's your situation, anonymous caller.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
I'm raising my daughter, who is a product of me
cheating on my wife with her sister. Ooh, but I
lost both of them. I know, the baby mama and
my wife. Wow, so I really want to know. Do
I ever tell my daughter this secret? She'll be fourteen tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Oh wow, So both of them have passed away this
whole life. The woman that she thought was her was
really her aunt I.

Speaker 7 (28:02):
Lost my wife when she was an ado lesser.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Okay, she was.

Speaker 7 (28:06):
About two, no older than three. She thought that was
her auntie, you know, and that was my own wife
and I'm just an uncle.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Oh she doesn't wait, she doesn't know that you're her dad.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
No, she knows I'm her dad. Now I'm raising her.
So do I keep it from her?

Speaker 5 (28:23):
Does everybody else know?

Speaker 7 (28:25):
I don't deal with her family. My people they know,
but they don't deal with me.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
I feel like she might be too young to Yeah,
fourteen is a little young to grasp and understand that,
because it's hard for us, us.

Speaker 7 (28:37):
Even that for not just fourteen.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
I'm as ever, Oh take you.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
I do think, I do think at some point, but
I think later, I don't think why.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
She's But let me ask you this, what would be
the point of him telling her? Like, what would be
the point of that?

Speaker 3 (28:50):
I don't want you want to know who?

Speaker 7 (28:52):
You want that? You want to know?

Speaker 3 (28:54):
You don't want to know?

Speaker 5 (28:55):
You don't want to know?

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Well, both of them have passed away here, and so
it's not like there's a relationship that she's about to build.
I think what you're concerned about is how is she
going to look at you exactly?

Speaker 7 (29:08):
And I'm trying to be a role model for her,
especially if I'll be raising that that's.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
What the concern is.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Well, I think fourteen is a little young for that.
It might be something you end up having to revisit later.
Instead of right now. But I can see that this
is weighing on you, and it feels sometimes though are
burdens we put them on other people because that's his burden, yes,
and him telling her could make it a burden for
her and him.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Now yeah now, yeah, now you're putting it on her.

Speaker 12 (29:32):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
I feel like that's something that if you do decide
that you gotta I would talk to somebody, a professional first,
because I feel like there's a lot you're dealing with
and you need to deal with that internally yourself first. Yeah,
you know, like the guilt that he's feeling. Yeah, the
guilt that he's feeling is making him want to tell her.
But I think an expert should be the person that
talks to you about what that is, and also have

(29:54):
those resources for her because you don't know how it's
going to affect her. So you need to work on
yourself and then make sure that if you do, we
decided to tell her, the resources are there so she
had someone to talk to. Okay, if you can't just
unload it on somebody and be like all right, see
you later.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
You know, yeah, understood, all right, Well, good luck, thank
you guys, Yes.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
Thank you for your advice, and I appreciate it, and
I love your show.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I appreciate it because the last thing you want to
hear her hear about it from someone else too. That's yeah,
all right, well that was asking ye And coming up next,
Roywood Jr.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Is joining us Lonely Flowers.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
You know you're going to find out why he's calling
his Hulu stand up special Lonely Flowers sets out today
and you'll get to hear about how disconnected society is.
Right now, that's a lot about what this special has
going on. But it is so funny, you're gonna love it.
This interview is funny too. By the way, it's way
up and I beg we about to do this one.

Speaker 7 (30:48):
Of the most famous women in radio audio.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Men, we're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with
angela Ye. Please believe that what's up?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
This way up with Angela Yee. And my guest host,
Akeim Wedge is here with me. You know, stay for interviews,
but today Rodwood Junior is here.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Welcome, Thank you and.

Speaker 16 (31:06):
I'm serious, thank you for having me. Last time I
think we saw each other, you were hosting a Facebook
comedy show where you were giving young comedians an opportunity
to do their thing, and we was like Judges, yeah,
one of the mentors or whatever. And I think you
gifted us with a bunch of different liquors.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
Yeah, this is during the pandemic.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
And one of them was a bottle of white grape rock.

Speaker 16 (31:29):
And when I moved it to my place, I pulled
it out my liquor box and put on a little
liquor show and I'm like.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Do I pour it out because of puffet or does
it not matter now? And I can still finish?

Speaker 4 (31:39):
What do we get it?

Speaker 1 (31:41):
It was an amazing and I don't even know if
I can say that without here here what he got
the money?

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Well, it's all by Diagio also, so let's be It's
not like it was a brand that existed and he
became the face of it and has Okay, yeah, deli
On was his that he created, but Siak did exist
before that.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Into a year okay, yeah, but I thought about you.
I started to text you, like can I still drink?
There's nothing of the guilt.

Speaker 7 (32:06):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Right now, I'm with my guy ikem Wood's another comedian,
and we're talking to ry Wood Junior about his Lonely
Flowers who special. Well, without giving away too much of
the of the special, you did touch on a couple
of things you of course touched on, and it was
very funny how you addressed the Daily showing your mom
and oh, that's a true story.

Speaker 16 (32:27):
Was I tell you something about black families? Man, Black
families know when you're about to hit a lick because
because because what happened, the way went down, Trevor Noah resigns, right,
and then they do guest hosts for a year. I'm
one of the guest hosts, and you know, stuff's moving
and there my name's in the hat. It ain't happened,
and that's fine. But what I told my mom at
the time, we was like we was probably watching each other.

(32:48):
Ain't gonna even lie. How much left on your house?
That's what I call my mom, call how much left
on your house? Like it's time you finna get your
paid off. And then I found out they wasn't. They
wasn't gonna rock with me like that all my mama
back and I'm like, yeah, you need to go back
to work together.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Jeorce, we take it back. I played off the Lincoln
though I got Lincoln money but I never want to.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
Take away from the fact that it has to be hard.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Everybody thought it, that's a shoe in and that can't
be easy for you when you're also probably thinking, Okay,
everyone's saying it, it's a natural.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Even like people were printing it, like people were saying
it in printing everything.

Speaker 16 (33:22):
But I'm blessed enough to have failed enough to not
be surprised by anything in this industry. I did you
know how radio is radio cutthroat? I got fired found
out I got fired on Twitter when I left Birmingham.
I've been at that station ten twelve years. But that's
the game, man, you know, I ain't mad about it.
I was on a sitcom on TBS. We had a

(33:42):
season four guaranteed on a handshake. Boy quit the network
the next day. The new dude came in canceled everything
but Conan O'Brien. So that's the game. But I think ultimately,
when Trevor Noah put in his resignation he was still
at the show that whole year, where he was still there,
wasn't it for me? Maybe I need to figure it out.
Thankfully got the Saturday Night jokes on CNN. Now, so

(34:05):
what have I got news for you. That was a
blessing to come down. But I don't think that that's
something I could even been able to receive had I
not already taken the leap away from the Daily show,
but to go and have the time now to sit
and do stand up on a regular basis. I sold
a book that's coming out at the end of the year.
I've sold three TV shows. All of this motion happened

(34:28):
after I jumped out the plane.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah, I can read some of them. You'll get an
audio book from your favorite celab And then I know
one that's bad. I won't say, I said off air,
but it's beautiful life. But then they get them in.

Speaker 12 (34:47):
There dropped one.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
It is bad. It was, but after we air that
I would let y'all know. Lord, you can hear the
veins right way.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
Junior is here, So is that Kim Woods.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
We have more with both of them, but in particular
Roywood Junior, because Lonely Flowers is out on Hulu right now.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
It's way up. Turn me up here. We grew up there.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
This is way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (35:14):
Is way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
I'm here with my friend Akim Woods and fellow comedian
Roywood Junior. As you're working on CNN on your show
there on, have I got news for you? Sometimes some
of the stories are so ridiculous. But do you also
feel like we're like a joke to other countries? Because
I know sometimes people will say that they're like America
feels like to other people outside.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
Of this country, They're like, what is going on? And
I saw you were in London talking to people, so.

Speaker 16 (35:37):
I can say, this is somebody from Alabama. So I'm
prefacing when you leave America, other countries talk to you
the way people here talk to me about being from Alabama.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
I get that because I grew up in Florida. I
got that a lot be in Florida. Yeah, that's a.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Great I could do that.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Everywhere. I mean, the Klan ain't at that chasing us
own horses yet come we don't see.

Speaker 16 (36:09):
But you know, it's still it's still some pockets a
decent But like, whether you want to or not, when
you leave America, you become the damn PR spokesperson for
the country immediately.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Well, I just want you to all to know that
not all Americans and n actually Kamala it was not
a landslide.

Speaker 16 (36:25):
Kamala was actually within four points of the margins, and
I was there's a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
That don't stand there. We don't have eight dinners, we
just have wonderers.

Speaker 16 (36:33):
Yeah, I just be like, man, I get on stage
when I'm in London or Canada, somewhere from America.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
It is what it is.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
Right now, I'm with my guy.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
I came with another comedian and we're talking to roy
Wood Junior. Now, you also went viral New Year's Eve
and a very hilarious that was moments that went so viral,
but it was so true.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Does anyone want to shock?

Speaker 16 (36:56):
The last black man to drink on this network got fired.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
I'm gonna keep it. I'm up right now.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
I love a Dolomit. But like the thing was, I
ain't been here but ten episodes. Let's just be real.

Speaker 16 (37:07):
My relationship with Seeing It is ten episodes. I'm not
gonna get that familiar that fast and be on the
acting the food because then if something goes south, that'd

A couple of years ago, when I was living with
my baby, we were together. She went to Virginia with
her mom for a week and I invited two girls
over and had a three soom in their house every
day for a week straight. I did it in our room,
in our bed, in the living room. I let the
girl smoke weed in the house, was getting drunk. We
was having fun for a whole week. So about the
mom got black.
