Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast am on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back George Nori with you. Peter Panagor's with
us authors book As Heaven Is Beautiful A Dye taught
me that death is just the beginning. Two time near
death experience or himself whose indes reshaped his understanding of
consciousness and the divine. Peter has dedicated his life to
exploring mystical truth through extensive studies. He was on with

(00:28):
Richard Sarah, my colleague, about two years ago. Peter, Welcome
back to the program.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
George, thanks for having me. I'm glad to be here.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Looking forward to this. What were your indes like what
happened to.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
You In the first one, I died from hypothermia while
ice climbing in Alberta, Canada, and when I crossed over,
I had a very extensive experience that included a life
review and a state of union and a consciousness understand

(01:00):
that I had always been this higher self and never
really had been a physical human being in terms of
the reality of my existence, that I had temporarily been
a human being, and that this higher consciousness self which
was like this in one stage of my experience was
like an orb of plasma, where my consciousness was myself.

(01:22):
There was no separation between my being. This I call it,
I could call it a physicality, but there was nothing
physical there. I was in a place of no thingness,
where there was no no moth, there were no molecules.
I had didn't have a physical body, but I had
a nature of well created order. I was being created

(01:43):
by the Creator, but I had had an everlasting existence.
And that's that's how it sort of began. And the
second near death experience, I died of a heart attack
about ten years ago, family congenital situation, and I didn't
go so far. I came out of my body in
the ambulance. The same angelic being that had met me

(02:05):
the first time came in a more like a plural form,
speaking to me telepathically again saying welcome, We've been waiting
for you. And as I began to leave, as what
happened during the first experience, I had an opportunity to
see a portion of my life as it would be

(02:26):
if I died, and as it would be if I
didn't die. And so I was given this opportunity both
times to make a choice and Both times I had
to do with my family. The first time it had
to do with my mom and dad. My sister had
run away when I was fourteen, vanished from our point
of view, and it destroyed my family and emotionally psychologically.

(02:50):
It was terrible, which is why I wasn't back in
the Boston area for this spring break. I was running away.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Did she ever come back?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Sort of back in about two thousand and five, she
showed back up again and then within and began re
establishing relationships with us, But then she died of a
heart attack. The same thing me in two thousand and seven. Uh,
fifty four, I think, yeah, it's a it's a family thing.

(03:23):
Took my grandfather on my birthday in fifty nine when
he was in his fifties, and then nearly took my dad,
but he was life lighted and shot up with then
an experimental drug for decoagulant saved him, and then it
got me. So it's a it's a runs down the
family line.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, it's hereditary. Take care of yourself, Peter. This experience
you had with your NDE, how long do you think
you were dead?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
The first time I was did for a long time.
I don't know I was. I was trapped on a
cliff in the middle of Alberta, Canada, in the Rocky Mountains,
at the top of a climb, and my partner, my
climbing partner, Tim, we never discussed how long I'd been
dead because I never told him because I didn't understand

(04:13):
what had happened to me, and he was an atheist.
I knew I'd been in the presence of the divine,
but the length of the experience. If I began to
tell you the whole experience, George, it would last I'd
have to talk for forty five minutes, speaking really fast
to cover most of it. So it was a long
time from my point of view. On the other side,
I don't know how long I was dead. On this side,

(04:35):
the second time was rather brief. I was in the
ambulance and the although I was given a choice to
come back or not, the paramedic who was in the
ambulance with me, I think, shot me up with something.
I don't really know exactly what happened, but she was
communicating with the cathorization lab saying we're losing him. So
it was a brief amount of time. The second time,
for sure.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
After you came back, Peter, did you experience any change
with yourself your person? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
It was this odd combination of still being me. I
still had my memories, I still had my you know,
physical advantages and disadvantages, mental advantages and disadvantages. All those
things were the same. But I became a different person.
I was like people call them walk ins, meaning like

(05:23):
a soul that enters a different body. Well, I entered
the same body, but my soul had changed. Had I
became an observer of my life. I was as if
I was above my body, looking through my eyes and
feeling with my hands, like an avatar and a game.
Except for that, I could feel and see everything from

(05:45):
two locals. I lived a sort of one foot in heaven,
one foot on earth, one eye in heaven, when eye
on earth and I when I didn't tell anybody. I
should tell you, George. I kept this a secret for
except for the exception of a few people. Why why Well,
because it was I didn't want to be crazy, George.
You know people at this time, this was nineteen eighty,

(06:07):
I didn't really know what had happened to me. There
was no I had no catorgization for this. At the time,
and I knew that everything around me, I could see
and feel and hear and taste and smell light emanating
from everything, and I knew that I couldn't do that before.
And I knew that most of the people I ran

(06:29):
into couldn't see what I was seeing, ninety nine percent
of them. And because I could see that, they couldn't
see it, And so I didn't want to be I
didn't want to be locked up, frankly, and I was
afraid that if I talked about this radical change that
happened to me, because I was hearing people's thoughts and
like emotional thoughts, I would be in proximity to people

(06:51):
and their emotional state of being so penetrated my body
that I couldn't tell where I began and they ended it.
It was crazy making for me, and I, as I
was living inside of this body, I always one hundred
percent of the time unless I was asleep, was aware

(07:11):
that I was inhabiting a body, and that was really weird.
So I kept it a secret for close to twenty years.
I told my wife, I told my best friend, and
I told a guy. I had to tell because I
had this other mystical experience Kundalini awakening, shocked descendant kind
of thing at a car rec scene, and it was

(07:33):
such a bizarre Things happened over the next three days
that were so out of the ordinary that I had
to tell him so that my wife I had just married,
and just told this to within a couple of months,
so that they didn't do an intervention and bring me
to a psych word. And that was that was on

(07:54):
the table, because it every time a person has a
near death experience or some kind of radical self shattering
mystical experience, there's a psychological and emotional lag time for
integration because the world. When I say the world, I
don't just mean the exterior world, I mean the interior

(08:14):
world is so radically changed that it's very disorienting, and
lots of people, lots of near death experiencers, end up
with severe depression. I was quietly suicidal for close to
twenty years because of this. This isolation that occurs is
one becomes so attached and connected to the other side,

(08:38):
to the divine light, that it makes it very difficult
to exist in the world.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
You actually missed it, didn't you.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Oh my gosh. It left me with longing. I cannot.
I can't put it to words desperately. Is that normal
for many of us? Yes, It's sort of like if
you were if if you found yourself one of the
greatest richest billionaires on earth, and you had absolutely everything,

(09:06):
the best clothes, the best food, the three hundred million
dollar yacht, that kind of stuff, and then the next
day suddenly you lost everything and you're living in a
cave and your clothes are rags, and you're filthy and
you have nits. That's kind of the paradigm there. It's
so so radically better, so radically enlightening, so unconfining, so perfection,

(09:32):
divine energy of illumination. But the weird thing was so
it left me with this longing. But that same longing
is what drove my interior spirituality. Because I missed it
so much and wanted it so badly, I changed my
entire future. I was going to go to grad school

(09:52):
and architecture, join the family business. I even got into grad.
I even had to apply because my family's like, well,
you better apply for this, So I did, and I
got into a school, but I went in pursuits of
mysticism instead, So I went to Yale Divinity school, and
with the permission of the Dean of students, not telling
her why I was doing this. I studied mysticism, global

(10:15):
mysticism for three years, and contemplation and interior journey in
order to give myself some sort of set of parameters
to figure out who I was now, because I was
to answer your question, I was a different person and
people knew it. It was leaking off of me. Even
if I kept my mouth shut, it was still leaking
off of me and my behavior attitudes.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Now you've had a couple u OFO experiences as well.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Yes, one not so long ago in my backyard, just
an order passing over the top of my backyard is
with a buddy of mine sitting next to a campfire,
This big, huge orb passed between the clouds and the
oak tree. I don't know how high up it was,
but it was moving against the wind, and it was
a big gale blowing, and it was moving against the

(11:01):
wind at a steady pace without any form of propulsion.
But the real thing happened to me back in nineteen
seventy seven, when I was just out of high school
and I was a camp counselor in Ohio, which is
not where I'm from. Make a long story short, I

(11:22):
borrowed the camp car to go to the roller rink
one week as the trusted rifle instructor. The director let
me take the car. Took four or five guys to
go to the roller rink. The next week, on the
same day, I said the same thing, but I lied
and we didn't go to the roller rink. We bought
some three point two beer and we had some cannabis,

(11:44):
and we went up to this park at the top
of a hill. And just as we were about to
listen to the music and pop a beer and light
the bowl up, the whole parking lot was illuminated like daylight.
I was driving. I was like, oh my gosh, guys,
it's the cops were busted. So I said, let's just

(12:05):
give ourselves up. Let's get out of the car slowly,
put our hands up, and so we get out of
the car. We all have our hands up, and we
turned to look behind us, expecting to see a cruiser,
and there was no cop there. And so we all
looked up in the sky above us, maybe a quarter
mile wide, was one white disc uniform in color twice

(12:26):
the height of the trees, perfectly silent, and I had to.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
I had to.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
I looked straight up. It's like what And then I
looked way out to the far edge and almost got
my head to level before I could see the stars again,
I'm like what that. So then it just kind of
drifted off like a balloon, very slowly. We got back
in the car. We scooted down this serpentine road on
this one hill in the whole area, and we chased it.

(12:53):
And so we're in this old ford chasing this disc
that was somewhat ahead of us. I looked down at
the speedometer. At one point we were doing eighty six
on this back country highway and we got to this
intersection where the road turned at a right angle over
a bridge into the bigger town next door across the river.

(13:15):
And we're doing about ninety when we get to this,
and it's about, I don't know, an eighth of a
mile ahead of us or something. And it made that
right angle turn without descilaration. It was going ninety at
one point, and then it was going ninety at the
other on this right angle, and we went blowing by
this intersection. I slammed on the brakes. There was this
cornfield down below us with like knee high corn I

(13:38):
hit the wheel left well, rocketed off of the embankment
into the cornfield, spun the car through the cornfield, re
aimed at the road with the bridge on it leapt
over the embankment and landed, and it was waiting for us,
maybe half a mile ahead. And it was up way
up above the trees at this point. And as we

(14:00):
approached it, we're all hanging out of the car looking
out the windows. As we approached it, it shot off
into space so fast beyond site. It left a light
trail behind it, just like that, and we were stunned.
We didn't have any explanation for any of this, but
we are all there together. And I kept that a

(14:22):
secret until the Pentagon came out back in like ninety
seven with those videotapes from San Diego with the UFOs
off at the Pacific. I thought it must be safe now.
The made pardon the tic TACs, Yeah, yeah, the tic TACs,
And so I made a little video about it, and
I put it up on my website, my YouTube channel,

(14:44):
and the guys who were in the car with me
contacted me and we had a conversation about it. I
hadn't told anybody, and they hadn't told anybody, well, they
had told one person, but we discovered that we still
saw what we see.
