Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome back to Coast to Coast AM. I am Lisa
gar and my guest is Michelle Welch. Your latest book
is called a Psychics Handbook, Methods and Advice for Communicating
with Spirits. We were talking before the break about a
being that came over your husband that was an honorary
not a friendly, well intentioned energy. How do you remove

(00:27):
that or uninvite that frequency, especially if it was attracted
by someone else who might have been in alignment with that?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Right, First of all, I don't believe he was in
alignment with that, and I don't want it, But could
he have brought that? When we're ill? Sometimes we're in
a week in state. So I do think we need
to protect ourselves a little bit more if some of
these little nasty, insidious spirits since some sort of weakness.

(00:58):
As far as I have an interesting story of somebody
I read for it and I got permission to talk
about this just the other day, Lisa. So she brought home,
She came home and she was taking a shower. This
answers your question a little bit what we do about it?
She contacted me. She's I've done readings for her for
a long time, and her shower just that glass, that

(01:19):
tempered glass or whatever just shattered. Now, normally I don't
like to put fear in people. And I'm like, okay, well,
it sounds like you need a new shower door. I mean,
I don't know, you know, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Just going to assume.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
But immediately she sent me a picture, and immediately in
the photo, I sensed something in the photo. And it's
not like me to just go dark to the darkest
thing immediately.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
That is not how I operate usually. But there was something.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
And I've never given this message, but I said, there's
something with the.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Lotion or face cream you're using.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
And she said, OMG, and she oh, oh my goodness.
She gets back, she goes, I just got a.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Brand up scream and a brand new lotion. I'm just
brought it home.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
And I said, well, now I'm not saying that everything,
but everything has energy, right, And so I said, well,
how much was it? Because I really feel like something
came in with that. She didn't intentionally invite it, She
didn't intentionally bring that in. But and I note that
sounds maybe bizarre. But everything has energy and can pick up,

(02:28):
so we need to clear it right, and we're not.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
All the time.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
We don't need to all the time be using Sage
twenty four to seven, but playing uplifting music potentially, or
singing or humming or things that keep us lighter in
our house. And so she was, I said, you can
put some of the Florida water in it if you want,
because the ones that I know of don't have carcinogens

(02:50):
in them, so I don't want to, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
But you have to be careful of Florida water.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And so she's like, no, I'm just getting rid of it.
And so she didn't invite that home with her. And
that's I believe the only time I've and are such
a reading. But I do say when you bring things
into your house, clear them. I mean, if you don't
know where they're from, and how can you clear it,
You can just hold them your hands, or even play
a singing bowl around it, or just the music. There

(03:15):
were the tones we were talking about earlier. There's so
many ways to just even if we didn't invite things
in our house. Now, some people I think get and
even people I warn against this when I teach. Some
people so badly want to connect with something and I
don't know why, Okay, you no, like it's like you

(03:36):
really want to be like this, But they so badly
that they might fall for connecting with maybe something that's
not in their best interest. And I don't know how
many intentionally do that. Not that many that I would
work with that or I know, but maybe, and so
we would then need to do an internshiptic clearing of them,

(04:00):
saying they're possessed.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I'm not going that far.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I'm just saying that we can bring things home with us,
little icky and even little hitchhickers on our body and
when we're ill, like even when I go to the
dentist and I use the nitrous or whatever they put
that up the stuff because or if you take medications
or if you're put under, try to take something and

(04:22):
tell the doctors and nurses always take black turmaline or
shungaie with me. And definitely, whatever your form those people
who are listening, whatever your form of intention setting, our
prayers are just for your safety because you're not really
in control of that conscious self when you're in those states.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
How believe that's helpful?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, it's really helpful. How would you know, though, How
would you know if it's an illentent? Like she wouldn't
have related to the shower door to the face cream ever.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
No, never, And you don't always text someone to know
right away. So I believe the best way to know
is this every single day.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
That's the best answer I can give.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Every single day, maybe multiple times a day. Do the
energetic body scan where you check how do I feel emotionally?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
And do it in your home. It just becomes a habit,
just like.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
If you're going around saying mantras and positive things and affirmations,
becomes a habit just to say, how do I feel
emotionally right now? How do I feel spiritually? How do
I feel mentally? How do I feel physically? So we
can you know that's your energy, and you can mind
and manage your own energy. Then if you perceive something

(05:37):
to be a little off, then you might need to
address it.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
And I do address it. I'll say what do you want?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Like out lapped, But for her and somebody who hasn't
studied it as much or maybe just as do.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I believe that it could be that somebody could have a.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Super wonderful being around them, and they don't aren't even
aware that they have a super wonderful being around them.
But the best way, in my opinion, is for everybody
just to always be mindful of their own energy would
be the best way.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
If we need to clear and protect and and do
things to take care of that, sure, we've got all
kinds of ways to help with that.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
And again, I don't want to spread for your That's
not what I'm about. But it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
She got rid of it, and it was much better
in there, and I said some intention setting, I lit
a candle for her for peace and with her permission,
and it's gone. But it's the first time in a
long time I've seen anything like that in a picture.
And I guess I tell the story too, because there

(06:43):
are there are beings that are have mal intent, and
then there's and I don't believe in any way she
tried to bring that being in.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
How you get rid of those though? So with her,
they're not they're not that.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
If that album is a pretty pretty serious one, you
can do what I really don't underestimate using tools to
help with what I'm trying to do. Like Black Sage
is known as my ward and you could if you can.
Now not everybody can light candles or incense in there.

(07:21):
If you're renting or you have your an apartment, you
need to check your lease because you can't always light
you know, sage or incense.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
But even whatever you believe.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
The person dealing with it believes it doesn't have to
believe be what everyone else believes. Like you know, if
I'm saying uh I read for people like ah that
are in Abu dabi things like that, they're not necessarily
going to believe the way I believe. So I say,
play uplifting music. You may need to sage, and you
really may need to do a clearing.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Here's the thing though. The other thing to take an
account is I.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Get contacted by people who say stuff's going on in
their house and I think there's a there's the land.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Well, I don't think there is the land.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
There's the spirit of the land and things that have
happened on the land. All of us are walking on
in a sense the bones of our ancestors and things
may have happened on that land that we don't know about.
And then there might be the structure on the land,
the home or building and then things within the home

(08:29):
or building. So you really need to be aware and
do energetic hygiene, spiritual hygiene, cleaning up and clutter, just
playing and you don't have to spend a lot of money,
but sprays if you can't use incense, playing singing bowls
or those frequencies we were talking about would be a

(08:50):
wonderful way.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
You are in Texas right And I think I heard
a story about during these floods that happened that some
of the areas underneath that were washed away found fossils
of dinosaurs or imprints and so forth. You saw an
enormous amount during those floods. How are things there right now?

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Well, I you know.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
I think I told you that I knew one of
the families that lost not not really well.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Energetically.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Is that what you're asking? How people are doing or
they're doing better? I mean, but there was a lot
of loss, and and you know, I think anytime that
there's that kind of loss, you want to look at
the human factor of it and not who's to blame.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Get to that.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Later, Because they lost a lot of these people lost
their children and people were just swept away in an instant, And.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
I don't think we should go straight to who's to blame?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
And so that believe there was so much support and outpouring.
There were red ribbons that everybody tied on the trees,
not red, excuse me, green, and just a.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Whole bunch of love and support and love sounds.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
One of the things that I think is so important
lately is it's so much easier.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
To love and support each other than to.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Argue constantly over and just find a common ground like that.
Tali Ama says, you know what, let's start with something
we can agree with instead of everything we disagree about.
And I believe that did help the people in Texas,
especially the ones that the one I knew.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Is there a ritual or something that you can do
to like we were talking about removing spirits. Do you
think that there's something that you can do in the
area or areas like that, or if maybe someone's had
difficulties with their house and difficulties in their year something
like that to remove the spirits, Like could you help

(11:03):
remove the spirits from the Texas floods? Could you suggest
something that we could do to remove negative energies maybe
in our homes or our families using some of these
things like black sage and Florida water and black turmalin
turmaloi turmaline. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Absolutely. First of all, we want to make sure that
it is again, do the energy body scan, right. We
want to make sure we're minding our energy. We don't
have to be perfect, that's the first thing I say.
But then I'm a real big believer in transmuting energy.
So black turmaline absorbs energy, it deflects it, and this

(11:46):
is my first book, but it also transmutes. It's said right,
So schorrel is what it's technically known as. And so
I got to thinking during the pandemic, I got to thinking, well,
if black turmaline can do that, so can we and transmuting.
Since everything's energy, let's go into that. If a place
doesn't feel right, Okay, something's going on and we detect

(12:10):
maybe it's with the house changing the form of that energy,
or if somebody's being rude to us or something. We're
connected to everything and everyone, so if it's a memory
that we want to then we can change.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
The form of that energy. But it takes a lot
of practice.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
So the tools are helpful in the meantime, and I
always tell people when they ask me, what you know,
should I do oil? Should I do affirmation? Should I
do crystals? Should I do candles? I'm like, what would
you enjoy because or music? Because they all kind of
lead us to the same result. You don't have to
do all of it. And so as far as the flooding,
I believe in a lot of blessings and blessing the

(12:48):
land and honoring the land, not what happened.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I'm not saying saying thank you that these people were.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Harmed, but going in and not always thinking that we're
going to re move everything. So there's a place a
suburb in Dallas and a lot of people it's a
historical landmark, and a lot of people had the home
and the area and this is a suburb, and many
paranormal groups had come to try to clear the land.

(13:19):
A husband and a wife lived in the house there
in the home and they had come and tried.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
To clear it didn't work, and there was also some
activity in the house.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
It was kind of funny, actually, the husband's electric toothbrush
would always turn on or kind of get moved around.
And so we said instead we're going to honor because
it ended up being a well, not a technical trail
of tears, but definitely some Native Americans. And then there
was also a slave cemetery on that property, and so

(13:53):
we honored that land instead of clearing that way and
paid honor and put us had put flowers on these
hymn stunts. There were just little rocks or little you know,
not it was sad it's and make it prettier and
go out there and clean it up and say you
know this, I'm sorry what you went through, this was
your And then for the Native Americans, honoring them instead

(14:14):
of just assuming that we're going to always go in
and clear it all out, because it may be that
they were there first and all they want is a
little you know, to say acknowledgement.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Of course there's going to be times where we need
to clear, but all a lot of people had gone
out there trying to clear the land, and uh immediately
we were like.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
No, that's we need to honor the land, right Uh yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
So so first you know, determining what what where our
house sits or where, and then even going into a home,
you know, is it or or is it a thought
form of fear that we're creating because we keep putting
a lot of energy into fear and fear and fear
or is it uh in breaking it down into what's

(15:00):
really going on in this home instead of always jumping
to a conclusion that's bad or that it's good and
determining the energy that way.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
But as fur as I would say, it depends on
how much you like ritual. If somebody really likes ritual use.
And I've talked to she one of my really good friends.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
She's a medicine woman with the Lakota, and so we
always run things by her. You know, we don't want
to appropriate anything and with our stores, and so we
would run by and the chief of her tribe would
would say, we love it that you honor us, but
you also can use the sage and the clearing. That's
not appropriation for the at least according to him, it

(15:44):
was like, use whatever you need to do, as long
as you're honoring what you're working with. And so, but
if it's something really that someone's intentionally brought in because
of anger, I will tell you at least one time
I did that a little bit wasn't Here's what happened.
I was pretty angry. It's in my book, and I

(16:04):
got permission to talk about it. And I was angry
going through a divorce, right, So I got all these
candles and I just started lighting these candles and putting
herbs in them, very irresponsibly.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
This is a long time ago.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
And my mentor told me, you're grinding for from candles
for a year. Oh and she grounded me from candles
for a year. Because I was so angry. I brought
something in and I never really saw it. I brought
something into At the time, I had moved into an
apartment and I've been through a lot, but I was
stealing with anger and needed to process that anger. And

(16:40):
so I created this thought forum of sorts with all
that anger and all those candles. So she's like, first
of all, you're not going to work with candles for
a year. And here's the funny thing.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
I was like, but I have my mind's eye candle.
I said, I can do that. I put my candle
in my mind's eye and she's.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Like, no, you're not working with candles, but just watching
energy and the Again, what's love to one person and
right to one person.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
We've seen this in our country.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
We may not all agree with this is high vibe
or this is low vibe, but knowing where we're at
in our energy and then using tools if we need
to sage.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Black sage is known as mug ward. It's quite potent.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
And actually think about churches how they use the incense
they for blessings and for clearings.
