Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back to Coast to Coast George Nori with
Jody Cook, our cryptid researcher. His website is linked up
at Coast tocoastam dot com. Jody, how big is dog
man standing up?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, most of the reports that we get he's right
around seven feet. There have been some estimated up to
about eight feet. Smallest was about side of a human
bust six feet.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Now, looking at the images that you sent us, you
can kind of depict that it does have the dark,
dark features, but kind of explained to us what it
looks like.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Well, it definitely has a body like a canine, typically
like a wool or a German shepherd is style. A
lot of the descriptions that we get, the characteristics of
the arms in the hands are a little bit different
from your domestic canine. People have always described hands being
(01:02):
four fingers, one being like a thumb, but the fingers
were much longer and the hand part was much longer.
The arms were more human, they were able to be
at the elbow, but the basic body in the leg
structures are definitely K nine.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
How many different kinds of cryptids are there anyway?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
You know, there's a lot. I mean, it seems like
every week a new one comes along. But you're always
going to have your basic main cryptids, your dog Man,
You're big with, Frogman, Mothman, the rake. These are the
ones that seem to be more frequent as far as sightings,
but in general, there's probably hundreds of them out there,
(01:54):
you know, because like you say, each week, it seems
like there's something new that keeps coming up and being
being that that's quite different from any other cryptid.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Are any of them kind or care free? Demandkind? Are
they all evil?
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I can't say they're all evil. I think Bigfoot is
probably the most gentle out of most of the cryptids.
But I don't think like a lot of these cryptids
are really out to do bodily harm other than like
dog Man. I think a lot of them will try
to scare you to get you out of the way
(02:34):
and get you away from them, But if the situation
came to the point where you're just not going to leave,
they'll they'll probably hurt you.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
What's one of the what's one of the strangest stories you've.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Ever heard as far as cryptid. Yeah, oh jeez, one
with I guess the most unusual is like the basquatch,
which is a bigfoot with bat wings. Uh. We've got
a few reports of those coming in and those are
(03:09):
in the Pacific Northwest area. And you know, people in
the report just I you know, take a gorilla or
a bigfoot and put bat wings on it, and we
think they're intrigued and they're swooping down at them trying
to grab them. And that's like the most unusual cryptodite
(03:30):
report to have ever received, other than individuals that were
out in the west seeing what they claimed to be
like a dinosaur.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
There was a report there was a report years ago
of the thunderbird that one of those big birds. Yeah,
so swooping down picking up a kid and trying to
take it to a nest. Have you heard stories like that?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Oh yeah, there was saying there's a park here in
Cincinnati where there was a festival going on and a
thunderbird was sided there and one of the ladies that
witnessed it drew the picture and it actually came down
because they thought it was a plane at first, and
it came down over the people, but it didn't try
(04:20):
to grab anyone, but it was basically knocking them over
just from the wind of this thing flying over and
they're like, well they thought it was a plane, a
small plane that they realized it wasn't. It was a
large bird, which was a very unique story with multiple witnesses.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
How is their habitat?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
What is it like dog man habitat?
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Have we ever stumbled across one?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Well? Here here's the thing. Some of the reports that
we've got where these things live in dens. Underground is
I think the most common way they survive. There's been
some structures that have been found that were above ground,
but it's definitely canine if you look like as far
(05:12):
as like a wolf or a fox or something like that.
They all live in boroughs, so this is not unusual
for them to do it. Now, there's been some areas
where we've got reports or these things we're living in
abandoned homes and very secluded areas where they have found
what they like a nest area where it would be
(05:35):
at where people who have seen these things inside these homes,
abandoned homes.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Jordy, have you heard of David Politis. Yeah, you write
stories and investigations on people disappearing in parks. Right, what
are the odds of things like dog men and other
cryptids quickly swooping down, picking up people and taking them away.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
I think the odds are good. You know, there's a
lot of cryptids out there that could hurt you, and
you know, people just don't disappear into stayed away. You know. We,
like I said, we're working on areas that have had
dog me insidings, missing people, their attacks, and we're trying
(06:26):
to make a big map of this so we can
coincide everything together. And we believe a lot of these
missing people and a lot of these attacks that you
hear about are definitely they're cryptied. But the possibility of
missing people who are in an area that is known
cryptids to be coming up missing, that's the possibility. That's
(06:51):
what happened.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Well, they don't the people don't shout. Normally, if you
get snatched, you scream, but for some reason they're quiet.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Well, here's the thing. You know, if you a lot
of people when you're out in the woods and stuff,
and you know you see a deer, normally you're up
on the deer before you see it. Same thing like
with rabbits and squirrels and so forth, because they're they
blend into the environment. You know, there's time to I'm
sure people literally walk by cryptis and not even know
(07:25):
it because they blend into the environment. And and that's
how they would snatch you. You know, they're gonna they're
not gonna come directly at you. You're they're they're gonna
come past you, and they're gonna be you know, in
that environment, and you're not going to see them. And
by the time you notice, you're already notched up.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
What are the odds of some nutcase dressing up like
a dog man? That's a great, great way to get shot, right.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Great way to get shot? And it is. It has
definitely happened. I mean we've reports in where people were
dressed stuff trying to sit there and make you believe
that this is a real dog man, are a real
bigfoot and it's just like, you know, that's not what
it is. But it's also very very dangerous, you know,
(08:12):
to do, because you deal with people, especially you know,
individuals that don't know about this stuff, and then if
they see it, they get frightened and it could cost
you your life.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Are the dog man sightings a lot.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Oh yeah, it's a lot more now than it was
day twenty years ago. And here in the United States,
what we did on our website, you can see we
have pie charts on number of sightings throughout the seasons,
number of sightings throughout the years, number of sidings throughout
(08:52):
the time of day. And there's so many sightings that
we are receiving that we're constantly changing our data. So
like here in the United States, there's like certain pockets
in the United States where majority of the sightings are
(09:13):
the Northeast, and that's from Minnesota going all the way
down to Kentucky and going all the way up to
New York. That's the biggest pocket of dog Man sidings.
The second biggest pocket is Texas, Louisiana, Alabama area, and
(09:34):
then you have California, well the Four Corners area. That
would be the third biggest pocket that's in the United
States of sidings of dog Man. But the largest majority
of them in the United States is the northeast part
of the United States. Like I said, from you know, Minnesota, Michigan,
(09:55):
going all the way down to Kentucky, Tennessee and just
going over the Ally eighty Mountains, going all the way
up into New York.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Has anybody ever obtained hair samples of footprints, samples, anything
like that.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, we have had several hair samples. We have had
we have castings of tracks, and we did this show
on TV about dog Man where we had hair samples
that was testing. It came back, like I said, an
(10:31):
unknown species of canine. But the lab when they sent
the hair back to us, what they did was they
put it in a sandwich baggie that still had the
crumbs from the sandwich that was in there. That basically
destroyed the DNA that was on the hair. And they
(10:54):
did that purposely, and they refused to give us the
documentation of the hair. Now they contacted us, they told us, yeah,
here is the hair sample. Hair sample came back with
an unknown species of canine that is not recognizable to
any other canine that's on the chart. And you know,
(11:19):
they's like, wow, that's great. Can we get the report.
I like to have the rest of the hair sample back.
Like you said, They sent me the hair sample back
and a sandwich bag that still had crumbs from the
sandwich and they refuse to give us the report. So
either they were told not to or they came up
with the data wrong. But the fact that the day
(11:43):
tainted the DNA and the hair tells me that they
knew they had something. And once it's in a database,
I think those database are being monitored and someone got
to them about it.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Who's monitoring it?
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Well, it's hard to say, you know. It's like, give
you an example our website. When we about a year
into our website being up, our internet or our website
provider contact us and asked us and said, are you
guys doing anything you're not supposed to be doing because
(12:21):
we're looking at your site. Okay, we don't see anything,
but you're having a large amount of activity from three
letter agencies monitoring your site, not just from the United States,
but from Canada, from Europe, and this is unusual and
they had concerns about it, and it's like, well, we're
(12:45):
not doing anything wrong. We have no idea what's swang.
You know, we're providing information, but there's nothing on our
site that that's dangerous or o've scene or anything to
that effect. But yeah, we we're getting monitored by the
three letter agencies.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Like the CIA, the CIA.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
The FBI, Homeland Security, the Canadian Defense Department, and so forth,
and if it's confirmed through our website provider. But it's
not something that just happened once. It's something that's still
going on today. Okay. So I did a lecture a
(13:32):
few years ago, and my wife is there and my
brothers and you know, a whole bunch of other people,
and two individuals walk in and they sit in the
back and they're in suits and they're writing down everything
that I'm saying. And after the lecture they came up.
My wife and my brothers came in there, and they
(13:52):
came over and they said, you know, it was a
really good lecture. I like what you had to say.
We're so and so they showed their ID they were
at the NSA and they said, you know, your lecture
was pretty good and I said, well you guys. Jokingly,
I said, you guys want to hit this information and
they say, no, we already have it. But he sat
(14:13):
there and said, don't be surprised if someone reaches out
to you and asks you information about the subject. And
I said, I had everyone in that room that verified it,
my wife, everything, and the identifications that they had looked real.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Why would these agencies want information on dog Man?
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Well, because here's the thing, We're doing their work for
them for free, okay, and if they can sit there
and get information on where these things are, what they're doing,
and are they dangerous. But here's my problem with this
(14:53):
whole scenario is why would the government even care other
than trying to take this particular cryptid and weaponize it.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
How would you weaponize it, Judy, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
I have no idea how you would weapon I give
you an example, the Exorcist. The whole bedroom from the
original story. It's sitting in a warehouse at Andrew's Air
Force Base. Why does the Air Force have the bed
and the dresser in the chair and all that stuff
that was in that room. Other than trying to weaponize it,
(15:34):
why did it on the military base? Okay? So if
they could take a some type of apex predator and
militarize it to their advantage to go in and take
out the enemy, I'm sure they would try to do it.
(15:56):
But I'm not saying that's what they're doing. They're probably
just as concerned about the safety of people on property
and they want to find out what this thing is.
I don't know.
