Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing In with Becka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hello everyone, we're scrubbing in.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
We're back again.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
Back.
Speaker 5 (00:17):
Would you like to introduce our guests of honor?
Speaker 6 (00:19):
We're back with my fiance, Haley Kio.
Speaker 5 (00:25):
How fun is it?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
It's really cool fun. Yeah. It feels like fresh and new.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
Yeah, you know, so.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Tune in next week and the same thing, and I
will keep asking it until she's your wife.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
So well feels elevated. Yeah, yeah, right, it's.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Just like an upgrade because I will say I'm not felt.
Speaker 6 (00:48):
I'm not against being girlfriend or boyfriend for however long
it feels right. But at a certain point when we
say girlfriend and then people are like, oh, how long
have you been together, and it's like, oh, seven years,
it kind of felt like, do I need start saying
partner to make it feel a little more like elevated? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:04):
Yeah, long term, yeah, long term.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I don't want people to think it was just like
this random summer fling.
Speaker 6 (01:10):
I was, yeah, right, right, right, So fiance feels really elevated.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, okay, So we asked the scrubbers to submit their
questions for the newly engaged missus and missus and Mark
is gonna start asking those now.
Speaker 7 (01:29):
I mean, scrubbers always come through and they're very sweet
and they're thrilled for you. They're so excited, and some
of them have said, like, you know, we want every detail.
If it takes ten episodes, that is fine with us.
Just keep it coming. But this was a nice one
from Jen Touton. Jen said, I'd love to know when
the subject of marriage started becoming more of a possibility.
For so long, it seemed like it wasn't a huge priority,
and then I noticed subtle shifts when the subject came up,
(01:51):
and I would love to know their trajectory.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
I don't know, it's just been like a slow burn
for us. I feel like, yeah, I.
Speaker 6 (02:00):
Think I would say last year, when we officially moved
in together, there was kind of that like, Okay, we're
planning our future now together because because we both had
have had commitment issues in the past. I think when
we officially decided to move in and like merge our
life officially together, it felt more like, Okay, we're we're
(02:22):
in this, you know, we're doing it. And I also
think that just like getting through some things, like where
Haley like would have to leave for work for long
periods of time, and we were able to like navigate
that in a healthy way, which I really had a
hard time with earlier, earlier in our relationship.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
It just made it feel like, Okay, we can we
can do this.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yeah, Like I.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Feel like we've been through everything.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
That can go.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I know, I feel like there is something to be
said about like, and no shade to anybody that gets
engaged after like six months of dating, Like everybody has
their own story, but there is something to be said
about spending so much time with someone because I do
feel like over time, that's when you like really learn
the ins and outs of like being in a relationship
with somebody.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yeah, what life is going to look like together?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Like you've always been together for a decade.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, yeah, that's more than some people like our marriage
staying married, you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (03:13):
Yeah, true, Yeah, Yeah, we've we've you know, like we've
worked really hard at our relationship and also it's been
like the easiest thing to work.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Like I've I've always just wanted us to figure it out.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
We want to be together, and so when whether it
was like family stuff or work stuff, or just personal stuff.
Like I felt like we always were like there was
never a moment of let's just throw in the towel.
It was how do we figure this out so that
we can be together and it be like a healthy
and beautiful relationship. And we've done that, and I think
(03:46):
that it just kind of started to feel more comfortable talk.
I think marriage to me has always felt like a
daunting experience. Like I think I've always just been like,
why do you need that? You know, I never was
someone who like dreamed about that part of my life,
and so I think my focus was always if that's
(04:07):
what Haley wants, I'm so happy to do that because
I just know I want to be with her forever.
So she wants to do the traditional you know, give
each other rings and have a big celebration and have
a wedding, I'm so happy to do that.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
But I think when when we got engaged.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
I was like, oh, I really this feels so exciting
and important, you know, so.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I know it's I was actually I didn't I because
I knew how you had felt about like marriage, and like,
I feel like you and I are very different, you know,
I mean, like I look forward to it like my
whole life, right, I was waiting for that moment, and
like you were always like very chill about it and
like not sure, and I'm like I knew the minute
you got engaged it would like all just come like
(04:49):
flooding into you.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, and that's all I mean. I just I'm excited.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
I think it's so fun that as women, and not
that men and women can't do this, but like that
we both get to have the moment of getting proposed to.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
So I will do that though relationships.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
That said, I know.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Other I know straight couples can do it, but like
it's fun that we both get to have it.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Yeah, yeah, that's actually a really great thing.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Is I never did that and now I kind of
feel bad.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Just grab his anniversary and.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Yeah, I can surprise him. Yeah, oh that's a little detail.
Speaker 7 (05:30):
You took that to a weird place.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
I always do.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
Tyler yems. Now we mentioned in the last show that
you know, there's really been no thought given to the
actual weddingven Tyler's worrying how long you would like the
engagement to be, and then they also added, I like
many scrubbers cried when seeing the posts. So thank you
both so much for sharing everything, and congratulations from all
of us.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Emotional. We're just going to rye this engagement out. But
in a couple of years.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
I mean, Haley is a big career year next year,
and so I think.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
With my film and stuff, yeah, with her movie.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
And so I think that it would be like within
the next couple of years. But I don't think we
feel I mean, obviously we do everything on our own time.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
So I don't think we feel rushed at all. But
I'm excited to like get to the point where we
start planning it.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
Yeah, take the time to think about it, think about
how we want to do.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
It, where we want to do it for us Yeah, yeah, oh.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Say I we didn't mention this before the other podcast,
but like again, I was trying to be respectful of
you being present and in the moment and not asking
like a million questions, but I kept being like, when
are we announcing this?
Speaker 5 (06:40):
Like when's this happening?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
And I knew we were doing the podcast, whatever day
we were doing the podcast, and you guys hadn't announced it.
So I was like planning on just like coming in
and just doing like a regular old podcast and like
waiting for you to like announce it when you wanted
to announce it again, not me, not being pushy.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
So when you announced.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
It, I was like very psych It was it was
like this like crazy like rush and then like Haley's
coming on and I was like, oh my gosh, it's
like so exciting, and I was like, I can't wear white.
And it took me so long to find out fit
where I'm not wearing white, and now neither one of
them are wearing white shirt on with another shirt covering it.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Fly.
Speaker 8 (07:18):
I really don't have a lot of traditional but I
also don't have a lot of white, so I have.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
Something to pass down.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
But yeah, I was like, you're fine, you can. White
is still your color, Tanya.
Speaker 7 (07:29):
So they should wear mostly white for the next two years,
and that's what it takes.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yes, good, it feels good.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
So no rush is the answer to the question year
It could be two even more.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
And I also just have to say, like, you know,
we posted and like obviously we know, we know just
based on how people have responded to our relationship that
people are going to be excited. But it always feels
very overwhelming to have like the love and support for
our relationship because we've been together so long and it's
been a journey, and you know, we came out publicly,
we had so much support. But like this part, like
(08:03):
moving into this next chapter and having people respond like
like that.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Like Tyler, is just a reminder of like how much.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Joy there is, you know, the love always outweighs the
hate always true, so true, always always speaking of when
you announced it, has your phone? Have your phone just
been like going bonkers?
Speaker 5 (08:26):
We haven't when we've been here. Oh, even better, you're
gonna have got some texts.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
Yeah, we've got some texts and calls while we were
getting ready, and yeah, it's been fun.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
It's so fun to have like people feel excited.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
You know.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
Yeah, I texted you this morning when I found out,
and I was not expecting a reply, but I go
on right away.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
I think.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
Was something something I've known about myself for so long
is that I don't like a ton of like direct
attention on me. So I get a little overwhelmed in
these types of moments.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
But I'm trying to let myself just like.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
Accept it and embrace it and you know, not get
overwhelmed by it because I have always felt like I
couldn't fully celebrate myself. I don't know, like I've always
just felt that, like, oh, I just need to like
play it down. But I'm trying to let myself celebrate
and be excited.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Let it. You deserve You deserve that, all of it.
Let it in.
Speaker 7 (09:27):
Next question, Rosita Rodriguez Flores. We covered this a bit
in the last year, but this for timeline purposes. How
long ago did Haley purchase the ring? Because it wasn't
that long ago, right.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
No, I mean it was this year. Yeah, it was
a couple of months ago.
Speaker 7 (09:40):
Yeah, okay, quick answering that question, Let's see, Tiffany, did
Beca already plan to propose and have an idea of
when she wanted to do it?
Speaker 5 (09:51):
Wait say it again, did.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
Beca already have an idea of when she wanted to propose?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
If I did, I want to tell anyone interested.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Also, like, the whole thing with Haley is that the
ring is a very I need to find something very
specifically tailored to Haley, and we haven't gone through that process,
so I have to find a way to She was
very sneaky with how she got me to try on rings,
Like I had no.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Idea very in my head. Now, no, no.
Speaker 8 (10:21):
I think we just go and pick it out and
design it and then what I want exactly what I want,
and then we'll figure it out.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Yeah, she's she's not just any girl. She deserves something
that fits herself much.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Have you ever looked at you know, those rings that
are like they're like flipped on their side.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
East West, That's what I'm interested in. The East West.
Speaker 8 (10:47):
I want an East West. I don't know what. Yeah,
I think I don't so cool? Yeah, yeah, so we'll see.
Speaker 6 (10:54):
The cool thing about it East West is that if
you want to get a reset, it can be a
North South.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Nice act better.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
You can just stack timeless timeless. Yeah yeah.
Speaker 7 (11:05):
Next question Mark, Jimmy Lynn wants to be your wedding planner.
She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
We'll be shopping for what.
Speaker 7 (11:15):
This is from Hira Siduki. Scribers have great names, by
the way, great names. Are there any muffed halves you
already know you envision for your big day?
Speaker 5 (11:27):
Phoebe?
Speaker 8 (11:28):
Oh yeah, Phoebe and dress or tugs depending on But
she feels better.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
I think that what are Something I really noticed at
at y'all's wedding, Tanya was the just the people that
y'all invited was just so perfect in terms of how
everyone interacted with each other and we're celebrating you guys,
and how the whole weekend felt like that. And so
I think our biggest thing is going to be curating
(11:58):
our guest list.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
That I think was like the we were really intentional
about our guest list, Like we were obviously like it's
the people that were closest to, but like we were
just very intentional. And I feel like that weekend, it's
a game changer. That weekend, we couldn't tell like who
were there for Robbie, who were there for me? Like
it was everybody was there for everybody, and like everybody
(12:23):
on both sides were hanging out and partying together and
like that was like the best.
Speaker 6 (12:28):
Yeah, and so and I also felt like what we
learned about Haley is that she does not do well in.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Y.
Speaker 6 (12:37):
But another thing is the weather will be a very
specific choice I have.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
In Los Angeles. I'm very privileged to comfort and.
Speaker 8 (12:46):
So we will have to be very specific with the
climate that we choose.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
You don't think you're gonna do like a snowy wedding.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Not snowy, but it can't be.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
It needs to be neutral weather for me. Let me
tell you Mexico has some U so we'll be auditioning weather. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (13:07):
We never thought that until we were in Myerica and
I was like, I can't breathe.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Yeah, it was hard for me. Weather was my number
one Yeah, yeah, I was your dress and you really
want to feel it.
Speaker 7 (13:24):
By the way, and I was wrong and I admit it.
Remember I was like, Tanya, whatever, you can't control the weather.
And by the way, it rained like crazy that weekend
in southern California. Yeah, yeah, because that was pushing for
OHI personally. Could we take a break and.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
The questions do you want to tease the question?
Speaker 7 (13:44):
Let me tease it this way. We solicited four questions
before we put out the first episode with all of
the details, but some of them figured stuff out anyway.
So I want to reveal some of those really intuitive
listeners coming up.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
And we're back.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
Mark is going to read the question.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Haley is gonna is taking a bite of a cupcake,
so we're gonna let her enjoy herself.
Speaker 6 (14:26):
She was fading, she's not used to this life, this podcast.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
Yeah, you go away, you go into like a tunnel
for like I don't know what. We've been here for
like an hour and a half.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
I just want to shout out a couple of listeners
who gave us questions before they heard all the details
were really spot on, like Amalia Goudina, who said, who's
the first person you told? And why was it Tanya?
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Oh that's so funny.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
How did they know?
Speaker 7 (14:51):
How about this one? This is Ashley Hartwig?
Speaker 5 (14:53):
Really?
Speaker 7 (14:54):
Ashley Hartwig said the ad with ring comes the Airge
a couple of weeks ago. Anything to do with this proposal?
Speaker 4 (15:01):
What?
Speaker 7 (15:01):
Yes, Ashley Hartwig, I need the.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Scrubbers to help me better.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Like Swifties, they're pretty good.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
They're very in tune.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
Yeah, all right, let's get to a question, shall we.
Let's see I flagged a couple here, okay, Blair Blair Maples.
Will they try to plan a wedding around Tanya trying
to have a baby?
Speaker 8 (15:27):
Ooh, that seems complicated.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Yeah, here's the thing.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
In an ideal world, my friends are able to come
and enjoy our wedding.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
We will all figure it out when the time, will
figure it out.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
I can't plan around other people's Like I had to
answer that for you, because they're just you can't.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
Well, I have to.
Speaker 6 (15:49):
I've mentioned like I would, you know, I know all
my friends are going into the season of like having kids,
and that changes.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I mean it's like if you're pregnant, you can't.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Like like full you just like like you're uncomfortable, you know, so.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
A feeling. No, I don't know the feeling. But like
I've already had conversations with Robby about this.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I think by the time the child comes, the future
child but as far as I know, is not with us.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
Yet, correct, correct, I think that he or she will
be of an age where you will feel comfortable evening
about the time we have a wedding.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yeah, And like I already told Robby, Like I'm like
I already had all these Tanya has already booked her flight.
Speaker 7 (16:29):
Yeah, like I already childcare arranged already.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah, I've talked to you about this because I'm like,
we're starting after our honeymoon was like when we're like
actually starting, which is also a whole nother like trip
of like going from that shift in your mind of
like not having sex when it's like a risky time
to like having sex is just such a weird thing mentally,
(16:52):
But I've already had. We've been having these conversations because
right after you guys got engage, I was like having
all these thoughts and I was like, I just want
to Like I was like, to be there. I want
to be, like I want to be at everything with you,
Like I want to be in every dress thing. I
want to be, Like I just want to be as
involved as as do you want me to respectfully whatever
you want.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
You don't want me at all the dress shopping.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
It's like I don't have to be involved in everything.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Don't worry, okay, but like whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
But I was explaining to Robbie though, like I want
to make sure that I'm there for like every single thing.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
I really want to hear about your honeymoon. Are we
able to like, yeah, we.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
Can do that some other time.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
I want to hear No, it's fresh. Oh well, he
was fading.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
We can't keep her here for a bunch longer.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
She'll be okay, okay, No, I just want to know,
Like it seemed like it was so special because I
know you were like you're you're you were kind of going,
what's different to honeymoon? Like it's been months since the wedding,
like how is it going to feel different?
Speaker 2 (17:54):
But it felt like it did feel different.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
It was so different from any trip we've ever taken.
And I think because like what's so funny is when
we first left, I was like doing the Monica Geller,
like we're on our honeymoon, Like.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
Can we come into this? Can we get an upgrade?
Can we come into your lounge? No? No? No, Like
it was all like no. I was like damn, Like yeah,
nobody's you know.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
That happened to me too. I try to work it
as much as I could.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
But what's crazy is at our first hotel we were sharing,
we basically have like a it was like a pool,
and there was like two rooms next to us, and
we check in and I was like, is there any
way be an upgrade? Like happy to pay to have
like an ocean view or you know, it's our honeymoon,
so sorry, no space. There's like a ten year old
kid to the right of us. We're sharing a pool
(18:38):
with like this little girl laying out and I was like, Okay,
it's fine, this is grades our honeymoon whatever. Like I
was just like not letting anything like whatever. Those people
check out the next morning, and not a single person
checks into either room our entire stay. So because it's
not about I don't care about the size of our room.
We had the pool, a private pool for just us.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
The whole is amazing cool.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Yeah, so it ended.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Up being like epic, But that wasn't even it. Like
the first part of our honeymoon was like very white lotus.
We like made friends with everybody at our hotel. We
saw them at every beach club. People were sending us
like cakes. Like Robbie got into like there was like
a girl woman there celebrating her sixtieth birthday with her
four daughters, and so of course I went over.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
I was like, are you guys about to rep party?
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Like no, it's our mom's sixty.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Talking to the girls about like la the mom like
newly divorced.
Speaker 5 (19:33):
Her and Robbie like have this like moment where they're
like she's like crying. I'm like, what are you talking
this way about? Like sending us like cakes.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
We met this other couple they like sent us caviard
or table we like it was. We just ended up
making friends with like everybody at our hotel, like exchanging instagrams.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
Like it was like so cute and so fun.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
And then the second part when we were in Willow
was like very private and romantic and like they triple
upgraded us, which I've never even heard in my life,
which was like then they came out and they're like,
we're doing to.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Triple upgrade you. I was like, I don't even.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
Know what that means. It was great.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
We had like a palace, which we didn't even need again,
like yeah, don't you just need like a nice bedroom
in a full length mirror and a nice bathroom.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
But yeah, it was.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Like just so spectacular and like never have felt more
like connected, Like there was so much like sexual energy
to that was like so nice.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
It was very rated PG I wouldn't say R.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
But then he posted a book to balance it out.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
I was like funny, yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Well but there was.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
It was like very like there was just like a
lot of like sexual.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
Energy the whole trip. It was like amazing.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
And then we watched our wedding video and we wrote
letters to ourselves for like our one year and our
five year wedding anniversary.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
So it was really really special, very intentional.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
Yeah I love it.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah, it looked amazing.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
It was the best. My only complaint was I wish
would have been gone longer.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Me too, Me too? One week international.
Speaker 8 (21:17):
It's not is if you can afford it, it's like
you need to go longer. We'd be on the plane
and people would be like, you're flying to MYERCA from
Los Angeles and you're only going to be there for
a week. And I felt like I was like, do
we need to extend our trip?
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Everyone?
Speaker 1 (21:31):
So, especially after like getting engaged, you were like in
this like you were in like a paradise, yeah, and
in your own bubble, right yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
And you kind of just want to like live in that.
And we had.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
It was such a long trip, but it was actually
really getting home and getting to Phoebe and like knowing that's.
Speaker 8 (21:48):
Where we're started building our paradise at home, which is
like important to put energy into.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, a lot of construction happening.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
Yeah, you know, like every everything can't last forever. It's true,
you know what I mean, It's got to end.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
You gotta go home.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
Yeah, that's what I kept telling myself.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
I told her because she said she's like I don't
want to go, and I go, this is this is
why we're able to like go to these places and
appreciate it because we don't stay for too long.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah, but I could do like a couple more days
silver lining here.
Speaker 7 (22:17):
But in both your cases you have to go back
to reality. But in both situations you return into reality
that is more beautiful than the reality you left.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
What he kept saying, they don't cry, this is the
start of our lives, the end of our honeymoon.
Speaker 8 (22:32):
I'm like, well, it's like that, what's that classic saying?
That's like building your paradise at home. So yeah, always
trying to get away, and it's like it's something that
you're proud of and that you want to be at.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
You know you want to and it's true.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
I feel like we all have those lives that we've
made for ourselves at home that we don't need to
get away.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
Yeah, but it's nice. It sure is nice. Nice to
get a nice crisp tank.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
We took time.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Oh wow, I've never taken a helicopter in my life.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Scary, it's beautiful, but it is getting on is a
I felt scared and scared.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Pilot looked like a teenager. I was like, this guy's
flying our helicopter.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
It was one of his test runs to pilot.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Pete from the back like his little brother.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Yes, but twelve.
Speaker 7 (23:22):
I was like, okay, good, everything from fight Lessons is
still fresh in his brain.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
Yeah, Buddy got us there and it was good.
Speaker 7 (23:30):
Blair Maples also is requesting a live podcast as a
bachelorette party, which I think is a great idea. I
don't make those decisions, but a lot of scrubbers have
mentioned doing a live show to celebrate this.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
We have time to plan for that.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
Indeed. Uh here's another intuitive listener, Katie Hall. Did Tanya
stop asking about it so much because she knew it
was coming? No, Robbie, she stopped asking so much. So
pretty goody good observation. Here was a dookie is back.
Remember her Invisible String is the Agars song? What Taylor
(24:04):
Swift song would Becca and Haley used to describe their
relationship and their engagement.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
You gotta shake this one?
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah, I know, maybe daylight?
Speaker 6 (24:16):
Oh you know, it's like I used to I used
to believe love would be black and white, but it's.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
Golden, beautiful. I have chills.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
I love you are in love.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
It's my time to show Welcome to the podcast.
Speaker 7 (24:46):
Let's take a break and we'll do one more because
I got I have one is a really beautiful comment,
and one is a very insightful question.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Great insightful, and we're back question.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
Mark question mark good one. Kelly Summers. I thought this
is a really beautiful question. If Becca could go back
and tell her younger self about this proposal, what would
she say? And then she gave six heart eye emojis,
Well six what age? First of all, what age are
you envisioning talking to you?
Speaker 6 (25:36):
To be honest, I'm envisioning like young ishbeca like twenty one.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
At that age pre Bachelor, pre Bachelor.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
And the thing is is that it's so interesting because
I really would to change a single thing because sometimes
I think about how crazy it is that Haley and
I met. You know, you think about like how anyone,
I mean you think about how you met your person
and how all every choice that you just made like
that person. And I think about how Brittany, who's our
(26:06):
mutual friend who invited me to her party, I wouldn't
have met had I not gone on The Bachelor and
got invited to an iHeart event where she was one
of the handlers and became friends with her. You know,
it's just like all these things, and so I would
just tell her that life is going to be even
more beautiful and joyful and fulfilling than you could ever imagine.
Speaker 8 (26:43):
It's just like it's just like we had a moment
when we were out there.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
You were like, I cannot believe you said something like
that if you.
Speaker 8 (26:53):
Were to tell me I was gonna be sitting here
with engage with a half Asian woman.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
But I just was like, it is crazy.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Like I think about the person I was and like
and and how much like not to like be like,
oh I'm so brave, but think about like how many
it's like like things I had to unlearn to accept
myself and accept our love, you know, to be able
to share it and to even be ready and like
(27:30):
so excited to say yes to her. Like I think
about all the things that I had to do and
to the relationships that were challenged, you know, and how
I just knew. I I remember thinking, like going through
these hard moments, like I know that she's my end goal,
(27:51):
Like I know that everything that is hard is worth
it because it's her right. And so I think I
would just tell young Beca, like you have.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
No idea what's coming, don't go to the farm in Iowa,
and unexpectingly she is right around the corner.
Speaker 8 (28:15):
And I'm so impressed with Becca because she a lot
of people aren't open to like she when we met.
That was because I've you know, been through a lot
of different experiences, but like with Becca was different because
she was open, Like she was just open to being
open for something new and like not denying it.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
Like when we met, it was just like instant and.
Speaker 8 (28:37):
She just like, we'll figure it out later, but like
this is this is right.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
And I'm not going to question that. And like that.
Speaker 8 (28:44):
I think that that takes a lot of bravery and
courage for you know, her journey of going on the
Bachelor twice and thinking that her life was going to
be a certain way, for her to be courageous enough
to go, oh my gosh, is my life actually supposed
to be this, and like wanting to chase that and
like and go for that, and like she said, challenge
(29:06):
so many things like growing up in Louisiana, and they challenged.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
So many things that she grew up thinking.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
You know, it's like it's just so crazy because like
you say, like courageous and like for me looking like
looking in like it was. I just felt like it
was never there was never a doubt, you know what
I mean, Like it was just like so in you
and like you knew like there was this like even
though there was chaos, there was like this calm and
(29:32):
this piece inside you and that decision and like that
is so telling, you know what I mean, Like that
that calm and that piece, like that you found your home,
you know, and like I feel like that was very
evident from like the minute honestly, like after your first kiss.
As crazy as that sounds, like it was very much there.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:53):
Yeah, we were watching The Queer Ultimatum and it's that show. Yeah,
it's the Ultimat on Netflix, you know, the ultimatum.
Speaker 5 (30:05):
Get married or like yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
Like someone in the relationship is ready to get married
and that the bridge is not. And our friend Taylor
was with us watching and so two of the girls
said I love you after spending like three weeks together,
and She's like, oh my god, this is so dumb,
and they're like, yeah, that was us.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
It happens quick, It happens quick.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
So crazy.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Yeah, all right, one more quick one, Carla Lopez, did
you know Haley at Tanya's wedding that you would be
proposing soon. Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
Yeah sure did one was your wedding March? Oh yeah,
oh yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 8 (30:47):
Yeah, I mean last year was like when you knew
here we go like I'm gonna have to figure this out.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
But it's also like how do you do it?
Speaker 8 (30:55):
Like how do you There's no rule, there's not you
can't just like how do you do that?
Speaker 2 (31:00):
How does one get a ring?
Speaker 5 (31:03):
How does one surprise or how does like get a.
Speaker 8 (31:07):
Like I was the most intimidated by the photographer part
because I'm like, I'm going to New yorka like I
don't know anyone in Marriorica, Like how how is that
gonna happen? So it just felt like the universe everything
was meant to be because y K was there.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
He like, he's such an amazing friend. He didn't even question.
Speaker 8 (31:23):
He's like I'm there, like I need to be there
to capture this moment.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
And as you've seen, the photos are.
Speaker 8 (31:29):
Just like insane cinematic, like crazy.
Speaker 5 (31:33):
So I'm so grateful for him.
Speaker 7 (31:34):
I love the rock with the tissue. That's such a
great Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
I hope at some point you post the photo with
like your stick figure drawings.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
So yeah, I know I'm.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
Going to post the evolution of my twice stick for
your drawing. Yeah, the plan's like the whole storyboard of it.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Okay, good because it's just too good.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
It's like full type A.
Speaker 7 (31:55):
Let's wrap it up with this one him channing Baylor,
She says, Mark, can you just tell tell her how
excited we are for them. Beca helped me feel safe
coming out to my friends and family. Also, we need
another live show tour. Twenty twenty was too long ago.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
Well, we just ago too out before global pandemic.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Yeah, we have a wedding to plan now.
Speaker 6 (32:21):
No, we always talk about wanting to do another live show.
So fun It was so funny because Haley was in
the audience for them, but for the ninety five p Yeah,
oh thank you.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
That's such pe That's so sweet, thank you, so sweet.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I'm so excited for you guys, thank you. I'm excited
just to see the outpouring of love. You're going to
just like feel so many things in this next phase.
And I just want you to know that like I'm
here and for whatever you need, And I want to
make this the most special time of your lives, and
(32:58):
I'm just really really happy for you both, but especially Becay.
Like I was like worried about you at one point
because I was like before you met Haley, obviously, and
I was like, is she ever gonna like find love
or like feel love and like the way that you
feel about Haley and with Haley, And it's like everything
(33:22):
you ever want for your best friend. And like, I'm
just so so happy for you.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
We love you so much.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
Should we do another one last cheers?
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Wrap it up? Let Haley go have some.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do with.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
One last time.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
For our newly engaged couple. Thank you so much for
having me. This was so special to get to share
it with all of you
