Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rev An iHeartRadio podcast.
Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in. Yes, and we have
a special guest today that is very much in the
center of what everybody is talking about because she is
an American TV personality. She's a podcast host, a fashion blogger,
(00:25):
a model, and she's an author. She's actually a two
time New York Times best selling author, so I'm excited
to ask her about that. And she is best known
for starring on Bravo's reality TV series Vanderpunk Rules. She
got married to her prince charming beau Clark back in
twenty twenty. She has an adorable two year old daughter,
and she's expecting her second baby. She really does it all.
(00:49):
Please help us welcome the one and only Stas Schroeder Clark. Hello.
I didn't realize you didn't know Tanya. No, I don't
think we've met properly before, but I know of you,
and I'm so excited to be here, so thank you
for having me here. We're so excited, I mean all,
(01:09):
I have never known so much about Vander pump Rolls
than I do right now. Yes, at this very moment,
just like I think my unborn child knows all about
scannable right now. Yes, while yeah, scandabal well that's what
everybody's Oh wow, sorry I'm behind. Um, well, congratulations you
(01:33):
just announced your pregnancy. Yes, thank you so much. Are
you having like differences like in just like between this
one the in the first you know what? Not? Really
I had a pretty easy pregnancy the first time, except
I was just like maybe a little depressed because I
was stuck at home. It was during COVID twenty was
a rough year for everyone, and so like I felt
(01:56):
very isolated. Um, all my symptoms in are the same,
but this time I just feel really excited that I
can like walk out of my house curiously, you know,
in my car, go do things, just like go out
to dinner. As a pregnant person is fun and new.
So yeah, you're like very different experience than the twenty
(02:16):
twenty pregnancy. Yeah, so now I have fomo like a
ton more. Like I highly recommend being pregnant, you know,
during a pandemic, because like there's no missing out on
anything and everyone else is at home. But is it
because are you just tired more tired and you like
don't want to go out? No, it's just that, like,
do I really want to go out like late at
(02:38):
night to something when I can't drink, I can't let loose.
It's like, no, I'd rather be tucked into bed, you know. Yeah,
so a lot with no pregnancy would rather be touched
often correct, And you think that, but like when it's
like totally just like taken off the table for you,
like you don't have a choice, you can't drink alcohol
and like you have fun, then it just becomes a
(03:02):
little harder to deal with because it wasn't your choice. Yeah,
I could see that. Yeah, that makes sense. It's a choice.
I still have the choice of, you know, if I
want to rage or not. Yeah. I just drank the
other night, and I'm like, I'm never drinking again. I
felt terrible yesterday. So I'll be on that for like
a week or two. Then I'll be back at it. No,
I'm still on it. I'm still on my like no
(03:23):
alcohol thing. How long have you gone? Well, so it's
like not really no alcohol. I was like day limited alcohol.
So before I would drink every day, like you know,
like the dinner, I'd have wine and things like that.
Of course I miss it. So now I'm doing it
only on special occasions, which feels like I'm not drinking anymore.
(03:46):
I think that's just like super healthy of you. I
mean the hashtag balance, thank you. That's where I'm very
I'm a very balanced girly right now. When you like
think about your like beginning, vander Pump rules day and
now you see your life now, are you like? Who
is that person? No? Real talk all the time. No really,
especially because I feel like it's it's having like a
(04:08):
little renaissance right now. Yer Pump rolls. So a whole
new wave of people are watching from the beginning, and
I kind of like shudder a little bit and just
get so embarrassed because those people who are watching don't
know what I'm like now, and so much has changed.
I mean, I was twenty three back then. I'm thirty
(04:29):
four now and my life is very different. It's it's
just wild when people message me thinking that what they're
watching in season one right now is who I am, right,
It's crazy. Where do you think that shift came from?
Just like years? I think aging, But you know, like again,
I was twenty three years old, so I had to
(04:50):
you know, that's eleven years to grow up a little bit.
But also I mean, I think stepping away from Vanner
pump rolls, I got married, I had a baby, and
not that I chose to step away, but meaning like, um,
not being on it for so long, you have to
find a way to not miss it. You have to
find a way to say goodbye, and like with that
comes leading a totally different lifestyle. And you know, hitting
(05:13):
like what you feel like is like a rock bottom moment,
like it really does make you like shifty and everything
about your life. That is funny thing about people watching
it from the beginning now and they're like, I can't
believe you said that that was weird eleven years ago.
It is interesting because I feel like we talked about
this a lot, and like we all kind of like
(05:35):
attach ourselves to something, whether it's our career or a
relationship or something. Right, so like you, you you attach
yourself to van Erpunt rules. When when that ends, you
have this sort of like existential moment where you're just
like who am I? What am I? And who do
I want to be? If you feel like that kind
of made you shift? And then also like did it
(05:56):
make you kind of now change your views on how
you're going to attach yourself to things moving forward. In
twenty twenty, I mean I was forced to like just
look at my life and look at who I am,
and what do I value, what do I stand for?
And now that I'm you know, at that point I
had you know, I didn't have Vanner pump rolls to
keep me in that sort of lifestyle. Like it really
(06:19):
was the world is technically my oyster for me to
make decisions based on what I want. And you really
do like a lot of like soul searching to figure
out what your priorities are. And you know, having a
kid that changes you no matter what. You're like no
longer living for yourself. Like I look back and I'm
just like that's so funny, like rip, like waking up
(06:39):
and just like thinking what do I want? And when
you have a kid, you're happy to do it, like
you're happy not to live for yourself. But with like
living for somebody else comes just like priority shifts, and
then along with priority shifts, then like what you're interested
in shifts, and so then therefore like where you go,
the things you do, that all changes and you kind
(07:02):
of just like become somebody else, whether you like it
or not? Yeah, when you what year was it that
you left in or pump rolls um twenty twenty, twenty
twenty yeah, And then so when when that happened, was
there a sense of like, oh my gosh, I just
lost this um like group of people are like being
involved in this like world that like did you feel
(07:24):
like you needed to get the gossip and like what
was going on? Or did you feel like you were
able to fully remove yourself? Now I tried. I tried
to stay away from it for a really long time,
like that was what was most healthy for me. And
even now, like it's been kind of hard, not gonna
lie to like see all of this vander pump Rolls
(07:45):
stuff come up and it's everywhere, and I'm DMed about
it all day long, like I'm gonna need you to
weigh in. I'm gonna need you to weigh in, and
and like at first I was like, oh, this is
like interesting and crazy that this is happening, and then
it kind of was like I'm having a little like
triggered moment where I'm like, God, I used to live
in this world for so long and now I'm like, well,
(08:06):
I'm not even being paid for this, and I'm living
like this is unfair. It is unfair when you heard
the news where you like, oh my gosh, I can't
forget where I was. Where We were literally at my
house and I have been cleaning out my closet because
I'm turning my like my extra room into a nursery obviously,
(08:30):
and so I'm like, well, I have to get rid
of like half the stuff that I own, like I
don't have that much space for it. So we were
literally photographing my clothes that I'm like going to give
away or sell. And I was like, holy, holy holy,
And that's that's where I was. I'll tell my grandchildren
wait for Okay, can you watch Friends at all? I mean,
obviously I don't watch it like religiously, but you know
(08:53):
the gist. Yeah, could you explain the vander Pump rules
obsession drama through the eye of the Friends cast? Do
you get what I'm saying? That sounds like something like
a professor would ask his class. I don't even know
where to Friends because it was hard for me to
understand because I was to me, I couldn't keep up
(09:14):
with the Vanderpump Rules. So like so and so is
Ross and so and so. Yeah. So I'm like, but
why do we, like, why are we not more mad
at this guy because he had a girlfriend and the
girl didn't have a Well, we are mad at the guy. Oh.
I felt like the girl's getting a lot more because
the girl always does, which every situation in the world,
the girl always does get annoy he but no, Tom
(09:36):
is the bad guy? Okay, okay? Has he always been?
Has that undertone been there? Like the potential of him
to be this person was. I think you should start
over and you should commit to Vanner Pump Rules and
watch him season one and you'll see for yourself because
I always felt like it was there. I mean, he
never liked me, so we always yeah. Yeah, so this
(09:59):
kind of like to me when I saw this happen,
I'm like, I knew it, Like, yeah, I knew it.
You're always pointing the finger at other people, You're always
always like a potster. It's not that he's a potster.
He just loves to hold everyone else accountable for things
and like things that like, you know, seven years ago,
you were constantly dark passagering, like you need to be
(10:20):
held accountable for that. It's like he was always holding
people accountable for weird and so now it's like, oh,
I think that that's something that someone does when they're
the ones that should be being held accountable for something
like much more grave. That's true, like when you're always
like pointing out what other people are doing and you're
(10:42):
like never at fault. That's a red fly. Right yeah,
but did did any like they were together for nine years? Right,
like yeah, Arianna and Tom and so all, yes, yes,
it is. Well, I'm like I see all their names
and I'm like, who's who, and it's strucu. The friends
exercise I thought would be very helpful confuse me even
(11:04):
more like that. No, think about it. It's like it's
like Ross and Rachel being together, or no, let's do
Monica Chandler because they were more stable Monica and Chandler
being together. And then we always said that, like Katie
and Tomer, Monica and Chanler. It's just so funny to
hear you say the friends reference because like since the
beginning we used that reference, but now the cast has
(11:26):
changed that we would the same the same way that
like the same pairing doesn't exist anymore, right, right, Yeah,
So I would say that like Tom and arian are
like the Chandler and the Monica and Chandler's Tom and
he just hooked up with Phoebe Phoebe, I mean no,
(11:49):
didn't hook up. They've been having an affair. Yeah, Like
no there, Like I'm sorry, but I just have seen
tiktoks of him and like him performing. I don't know,
I didn't know he was a singer or whatever. And
I have the worst itch, So I can't believe that
Raquel is with him, like like that's my man, and
(12:11):
I'm as stick beside him. How I don't know? Um,
so when when they got together, we're are you friends
with Arianna? And we're like, who's like the friend? Like
who are your friends from the show? Well, I mean
we were all friendly with each other and Tom No,
but like we were, we were all we hung out
(12:31):
in the same group, you know what I mean. It's
it's a really aub weird web, this like group of
friends and like what it is? Um? I mean Katie
Maloney is is one of my best friends. She's the
godmother to my child. She was my maid of honor.
Like she's like I adore her. Um, but I'm friends
(12:52):
with like some of them, but not really all of them.
I don't know, it's like kind of I've been out
of it for so long too, so I've kind of
just stayed friends the people that i've three years is
a long time, girls, world, Yeah, it's a long time.
And when you're trying to like take a break from
a to If I'm not going to be paid to
(13:13):
be on this show, why am I going to like
insert myself with when like half the cast I don't
really get along with as like real friends, So why
would be Yeah, why would I be there? You know,
like the group? Hey, guys, I know it's been a minute.
How's everyone doing anything new happening? Would you imagine I've
(13:35):
been offline for a minute, just chucking it? Yes, it's dassie, Yeah,
I just wow. The I guess when you are the
two like most hated people, like, it's easy to stick together,
right because you're like, who else am I gonna? Well?
I I mean I personally feel like they have to
(13:58):
stick together. Like if I was there publicist, like I
would be like, what's gonna happen now? Is you guys
are going to get married? You're gonna have a baby,
because like honestly, like really like does like you can't
hate on a baby, like no one can hate on
a baby. You guys are gonna go do charity work
in another country for a good year and then you're
(14:18):
gonna come back. Like that's that's what I would tell
them to do it. They have to get married, now,
you know what? I do want your take on that
I found so fascinating. Do you did you say the
TMZ video that Raquel she was like in front of
a nail. So I saw that, and then I saw
Spencer Pratt. I know I saw that. Dude. This is
what's so annoying. Again, It's like, I'm not getting paid
for this yet every time I go on TikTok, my
(14:40):
whole algorithm, I have to like quickly get out, Like
I can't watch anything vanderpump Rolls otherwise TikTok's gonna know
that I watched it and then only show me vanderpump
Rolls and like, get have it, get out of it.
But Spencer I had to watch because I think he's
so funny. I don't know if you saw it, but
basically Spencer was saying I didn't want to step in.
I didn't want to say anything. But she has to
go and get this coincidental TMZ video outside of the
(15:03):
nail salon where she's looking, you know, not her best,
and he was like, basically, you screwed yourself out of
your contract for next year because she gave all that
like spilled and it was like kind of uninteresting, but
she kind of spilled and spoke to like this TMZ
camera when the reunion was that night. Okay, so I
will say I could not agree with everything he said more. Yeah,
it was weird. Why but why would she do that? Um?
(15:27):
I feel like I know and I don't. I don't
know why does anyone? No one's I'm not under a contract? Okay,
well I know, um because it was paid so like
she worked with so she got paid for it. Okay,
that's what That's what Spencer alluded to pay for that
though like TMZ, I don't know whether it was TA
I don't think it was, but honestly that would be genuine.
(15:51):
Um yeah no, but that I don't know why she
thought that that would be in her best interest when
I would think that keeping her job on this show
would be in her best interests. So maybe the money
outweighed Maybe they paid her a ton more to do
that than they would even for another year contract. Um doubt.
I doubt it. Really, it's that much like she's like,
(16:15):
this is my this is how much. I mean They're
like okay, no, no, yeah, but I mean I would
imagine um that like Bravo's angries because the reunion was
literally the next day and yeah to go. And it
was so obvious that that that was planned because I
every week, we all kind of know what it's like.
(16:36):
Of course, pap Rozzi are following her so like they
could catch her where. She like that absolutely, but normally
you're like, I'm sorry, I can't really talk right now.
I'm sorry, I have to go, Like I'm sorry, Like right,
you have that option, yeah, you don't have to sit there, right.
I found it so odd. I'm like watching it, like
what is going on? I was like, I feel like
I'm in the twilights though. It was it was really strange. Yeah,
(16:58):
very strange. It felt like she was doing like a
sit down interview, but I'm sitting down on a curb.
It was so weird. It was weird. It wasn't like
here's a little I'll give you a little something so
you can post it. It's like I'm gonna give you everything.
We're gonna sit and shot. I know. I feel like
at some point the photographers parted like okay are you Yeah.
(17:41):
I just feel like with her apologies, do you feel
like they were sincere? But do you do you have
an opinion on her as a person? Not really, I don't.
I don't know her that well, so whatever, I don't
have an opinion on her either. So the sincerity you
you You're just like, yeah, probably the thing is m
(18:02):
was just a post, so like, how can you judge? Yeah,
the sincerity of something. And I mean in seeing her,
you know in that video was was I don't know,
I didn't really know her. Yeah, yeah, it was icky.
It was icky. I was like that Spencer private. It
really got me thinking. I was like, yeah, I've never
(18:23):
seen someone have a full conversation like that and answering
every question. No, never, I agree. Yeah, Um, I do
want to switch to the topic really quick, because you
have two of something under your belt that I've been
really wanting my whole life, a New York Times bestseller,
and I want to know how it feels to be
(18:44):
a New York Times bestseller. Um, I'm not gonna lie
it feels great, Like it really does. Like at the
end of the day, like I know how lucky I
am to be in this position because I was on
this show for so long. But then it's like anyone
can put something out anyone else, anyone can put out
a book or put out a podcast, and to see
(19:06):
that it's received so well and it does so well,
like that makes me feel like I'm not here just
because of luck. Yeah, And so that gives me a
greater sense of purpose. I gotta tell you, going through
the process, I have so much more respect for people
that write books now, Like I always knew it was hard,
and I always thought it was hard, but like going
through the actual process, I'm like, kudos to you and
(19:27):
the fact that you did it twice. Oh no, it
sucks you. And I'm working on my third one. It
sucks your soul, it really does. And then you second
guess everything, and then you also you grow and you change. Yeah,
and I'm like, actually I want to change that, or
like I don't feel that way anymore, but I did
feel that way at a moment in time, So like
should I keep it there? It's like a time capsule,
I don't know, and then it just keeps you awake
(19:48):
at night. It's it's stressful. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's totally
a mind trip. I will say that for sure. Yeah.
And it's like also, and I feel like maybe you
feel the same way. It's like, you work in entertainment,
so you you know, you're constantly posting and sharing up.
But something about being in a book feel so permanent. Yes, truly,
like so finite. It's it's there, it's done. You have
to answer for it. It's it's not like, oh, well
(20:10):
I said that on a reality show or I said
that on a podcast, but like did I mean it? No,
you thought about everything that you've written over it, and
you've checked it again and other people have checked it
AGAs well. Which are you writing a third book now?
I am? When's that one coming out? Well? I'm working
on it right now. Okay, so no, the date is TBD,
(20:31):
TVD yes, And what's it going to be about? I
kind of don't want to get into it. I no, No,
I don't want to get into it because it's it's
at the early stages, like the really early stages. Okay,
so it's like not totally conceptualized. No, Well, in my yes,
in my brain it is. It's still a how it's
still in the same format, it's the same type of
how to book, like a basic bitch how to book,
(20:53):
but it's it's something that I don't feel like people
would expect from me, like a how to thing. And
I feel like, honestly, if I'm gonna announce, it's gonna
be on my podcast, not y'all. I was like, give
it to us, to us, give us up that headline, QUI, Um,
I wanted to talk about you, um, your husband, and
how y'all met, because when you actually you know, we
(21:16):
we know, you know, how we have a connection. Are
Louisiana roots? Yeah? Wait, hold on, it's my first boyfriend. Yes, yes,
my first boyfriend, Brock. That's how. How was that? How
we met at? Like I think we met at an
event or something and somehow we started talking about it
and we really like a connection. He went to high school.
(21:36):
Oh I thought you dated him too. I was like,
WHOA so crazy? Like how small the world? I know?
But um, I was going to ask you about when
you met bo, Like, was there a moment when y'all
met that you were like, oh my gosh, this is
the this is the guy. No oh no, honestly, and
I think that this is its something that's like important
(21:58):
to talk about because so many of my friends, like
who were still single, they they're like, oh, well, I
met this person, but I don't have that like feeling
or like I mean, I had that feeling of being
attracted to him. But we dated very casually for about
six months. Like I did everything differently with him that
I had done before. Like I feel like every other
relationship I had it was like we met it's passionate,
(22:21):
it has to be passionate, or like it's not the
right thing, and it was so intense, and every single
relationship I had before him was so unhealthy. So I
wanted to take everything slow and and I really just
like got to know him as a person and I
didn't put any pressure on it. And then eventually, like
after we decided to like commit ourselves to each other,
(22:42):
I was just like, God, like, this is my best friend.
Like it's not just like chemistry, it's not it's not
just like oh, like I just want to like hook
up with him. I did. I wanted all those things,
but like he became my best friend, and I felt
like that was the moment that was when I really
was like I can see my life with him, because
(23:03):
like we would that that friendship is there, that respect
is there, that like if all else goes away, we
still have that foundation. Yeah. Yeah, I do think it's
important to talk about because I think a lot of
times I will say when I met my girlfriend it
was like this, it was like instant like and that's great. Yeah,
but I think that a lot of people wait for
that and they're like they go on one date or
(23:25):
two dates and they're like, oh, it's not this immediate thing,
and they write someone off where it's like it might
be a slow burn and it might be that like
you are building a foundation that's deeper than like immediate
like lust or passion or whatever it is. Yeah. No,
I think it's so important. Again, it's like, oh, my
friends say that they complain about that that well, I
don't know. We've only been on a couple of dates.
(23:45):
But like I'm like, just give it a few more chances,
like really try and get to know this person. Like
you never know, like you really never know. Do everything
differently than what you've done before. That's true. Patterns. Patterns
are the they're the worst but they're hard to break.
Like a lot of people just like going to the
pattern that they're hard to break. Those patterns no where
(24:07):
they are. I get it. I get it. Would you
ever go on a reality show again? Yeah? I think so.
I think it's like in my blood. I just feel
like I've done it for so long. I mean that's
where I met Brock, my first boyfriend. I was like
on The Amazing Race when I was sixteen years old,
and I just like haven't stopped since, so like I
don't really know anything anything else. I mean, I haven't
(24:31):
done it in three years, but I feel like it's
like riding a bike. So yeah, if the situation was right,
I think so. I totally forgot about The Amazing Race
and I just didn't I was so ugly, and so
during COVID we got into like I guess we watched
a season and we're like, there's so many of these seasons,
let's just go watch them. And I was like, oh,
(24:52):
like I had a family friend that was on the show,
so we watched. I was like, oh my god, all
babies on the show. No. I was like, so want
to be goth, but wouldn't fully commit to it. So
it was like half in, half out. You couldn't it
was no, not the vibe, not the vibe. What would
be your dream show to be on? You know? I
(25:13):
have y'all watched Special Forces? It's on, Yes, I told
you about that. It's like an army like military show
where they like, like what you're talking? I could see you. No, no,
no way, that wouldn't be the one that doesn't sound
like that character. I have some you know, you know,
(25:34):
it's been thirty four years of building character. Enough character, Okay, fine,
what show would you if you were like, oh, that
would be a really such a dream show would be
like Stanley Jucci show Finding Italy. That's what it's called, right, Yeah,
if I could just go travel and like try food,
(25:54):
try food, like learn about and even if it wasn't
just food, it's like, well, I love Italy. My hu
has been is a dual citizen, so he he has
a right, so he has an Italian citizen citizenship, and
so my daughter will I have to like whatever? Yeah me,
but like I would just love to go and live
my life, like exploring Italy with my family and and
(26:18):
just like learning about everything. And if that could be filmed, cool,
that would be like a dream show. Bravo. Are you listening? Yeah, Bravo,
who fired me? Are you listening? Art for Sauce, a
tourism food trying show with the fam Wholesome Wholesome Show.
We're bringing some wholesome stuff to Bravo, No beca. Do
(26:39):
you know what I've realized ever since I watched the
Megan and Harry documentary. Oh no, I am no. I
love Megan and Harry. One of those okay, one of
those people. Okay, But what I realized after watching it
was like I am starved for wholesome television. Like I
am like it's all so just like backstabby and just
(27:00):
like women fighting and just like taking each other down.
And I'm like every moment that I saw them with
Archie or I just saw them just like loved up,
I was like, I'm I'm starving to watch this, Like
I want to see this on my screen. I want
more wholesome TV. I want to watch it come to
my house. We watched a lot of wholesome tells. Where's
It TLC? Yeah, no, next Level Chef, I watched Crime
(27:25):
Scene Kitchen, I watch What's the Physical one hundred um.
We watched The Mole. That's more like, I haven't heard
of any of the shows you just listed the one
the one she didn't list that is her main one
is low Okay, that's not wholesome. It's not Yeah, it's
not wholesome. That's why didn't mention it, but to say,
(27:45):
like Lego Masters, I also watched Legs also like dumb
is it cake? Which cake? Um? So yeah, just come
on over. I can give you a whole list of
what do you have because you have host your own podcast,
is there any like would you want to host? Like
is there anything interesting too in that to you? I mean,
(28:06):
I really enjoy hosting, but I'm kind of just taking
my career like one step at a time. I think
one thing I learned over the last three years is
is that I don't have to like have a hand
in everything. I'd be Like before twenty twenty, it was
like what more can I do? What more can I do?
Like this brand deal, touring, now, this this It was
just like everything all at once, and life doesn't really
(28:28):
have to be that way. So I kind of just
like take one thing at a time and like hope
that I'm doing a really good job of it and
just like slowly let things unfold, like's hosting fun? Yeah?
Is it like my ultimate dream? I'm not sure, but
like if the right thing happened or came, you know,
maybe yeah. Yeah, you just announced your tour they did.
(28:48):
How do you feel about doing that whilst pregnant? Yeah, okay,
so that's I'm honestly most excited. I excited for that.
So at first I put off getting pregnant because I
knew that I wanted to tour the Spring and I
was like, this is horrible, but like, but we love
drinking so many apple sprits and we're on tour. It's
like a party, Like, you know, my husband's there, my
(29:09):
best friend Taylor, she tours with us because she opens
for me, and so like it's it's just really fun
to be touring. And I'm like, I can't do that.
What if I get pregnant. I got pregnant, and I
was like, you know what, Like, no, this is gonna
be a whole new experience this time. And I feel
way more motivated than I was the last time that
(29:30):
I toured, and I feel like I'm just excited to
challenge myself and like to be able to say like
I did it, prig it not pregnant, but doing our
live shows with a little a little drinking us too,
so I get of course, yeah it's fun. I had
(30:05):
a moment a couple of weeks ago where I went
to a show and it was like really late and
I didn't drink at all, and I was like, I
had a great time, did you? I can't see? That
makes me so excited because I think there's like this
this idea that we have to have that buzz or
whatever to like enjoy idea. It's like the fact for me.
(30:28):
For me personally, I'd like to calm down the nerves
because I do get really nervous before every show, Like
I can't talk to anyone, you know. I know lots
of people that tour and they're like, come to my
green room before the show, and it's like a bunch
of people. I'm like, how the fuck are you doing this?
Like before I go on stage, I'm like, no one
talked to me. I'm like, I get nervous because I
(30:50):
really care. Yeah, and so like drinking April spritzes or
like some rose like that helps. So now I'm just
I can't do that. Ye, maybe a mocktail and you're
like placebo effect kicks. No, mocktails are so lam just
on the best mocktail, it's like wasted calories. I'd rather
eat some cake too, What about cake with a mocktail? No?
(31:13):
Okay no, But do you like being pregnant? I thought no,
I so so I thought I did, like before I
got pregnant again. I think you just forget that you
don't like it truly. Yeah, like right now, last night
I said to my husband and I was just like,
this is so like not the vibe, and like I
can't wait to not feel like this again. But what's
the feeling? I think it's just like the not having
(31:35):
control over your body and like watching it just change
in so many ways, and and like well, like I know,
you know, my husband still thinks I'm beautiful no matter what,
and all that it's not my version of how I
like to look, and and that's just really hard to
deal with. And like I'm hungry all the time, and
it's like so it's like I can't deny this baby food.
(31:56):
You can't like diet, you can't. It's just a weird
It messes with your mind to like not have control
over your body. Yeah, well it's just not yours, Like
it's not all just based on what you want now
you know, it's like you're literally keeping this thing alive. Yeah,
and it's like getting dressed every day and then you
(32:17):
know you're constipated and then like it's just like all
of these things. That's it's a thing. Just like you know,
it's like a thing that I complain about a lot,
Like it's a lot not everyone. We all like, I
don't get sick. I've never thrown up because I was pregnant,
Like I've never that hasn't been my journey. But yeah,
(32:38):
like constipation has been a journey. That's not a journey
that I I've heard like after giving birth, like through
if you're like you know the medications and stuff, but
I didn't know what happened during this part. That's how
have you seen the girl at the list on TikTok
of like reasons why I won't be having a baby
And she'll see a TikTok and then stitch it and
(32:59):
write it down on her because it'll be like that.
It'll be like you can tear up to your buttle
and she's like add it to the that's funny. No,
TikTok hasn't served me that pump rolls right now? Well,
say mine is that? And you know my dog one
of Paltrow. Yeah, oh I'm so into that right now.
Right now, I just want to like say to everyone
(33:20):
every time I talk to someone and just be like, well,
I lost half a day skiing, so I lost half
Dave skiing the next time anything goes wrong, but I
lost half a Dames. Yeah, it was very into it.
I cannot stop watching her in the witness stand. So
you're like watching it the way I watched Amber Heard
and Johnny Dupp. Yes, okay, Like I was in a
(33:42):
in the car, like we were driving to like pump
Springs or something, and I literally had to have my
phone watching it live, like the whole entire trip. So
it's only when she's in the witness stand. I'm not
so keen on the other people. Yeah, just her. She's
pretty funny. I mean she's funny, like seeing her in
that position. Yeah, weird. The lawyer off here the questions,
(34:02):
Oh yeah, she was strange, very strange. Um do you
have any opinions of um just hot topics that have
come up? Harry styles and em Rada. Have you seen
the video? Yes, of course I was in the video.
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what's
on your feed. Oh that's on my feed. Yeah, no,
it's on my feed. Um how to say? I feel
like it's a good match. No interesting, No one likes it.
(34:26):
No one likes it. I can see that in the
comment section. No I like it, but you know, he
he um. She was his celebrity crush and that's what
makes me like it even more. It's like, okay, so
he like kind of manifests manifested her. This is what
I don't like about it. It's giving a tinty bit
of raquel because I saw that, like she hangs out
(34:48):
with Olivia Wilde and like they've all hung out together.
So I'm like, well, don't get Becka started on that started.
There was a blind item on Dumois. There was I
saw that too, So Dumas doesn't always get it right,
so we don't know that's true. That's true, like that,
I feel like they get it right pretty often. Okay,
but like I kind of just feel like two really
hot people that like could wear really cool outfits and
(35:10):
give us lots of street Style inspiration What's not to love? Yeah,
I was like shocked by my when someone sends it
to me, my feeling about it. I was like, I
don't know that. I don't know these people. I don't care.
Why did my heart sink? Like Harry Styles, I'm not
(35:33):
like I love him. I love his music. I think
he's so cute, but like, I'm not like I'm gonna
marry Harry stuff. That is so funny that you had
that reaction. And I don't even care that much, But
why did my heart? I gotta I gotta talk about
in therapy because like there was a it was an
unexpected feeling. I'm processing it. I love him a lot.
My love goes deep for Harry Styles. I'm sorry happy.
(35:55):
I just wanted to do though. So I don't know
if she's going to be that for him. I mean,
do you think that I don't know that this is
going to be like a relationship or you know, if
it does turn into a relationship, I could see it
being like the Kim and Pete thing. Yeah, where it's
like it's for like a chunk of time. It's fun
for everyone. It's exciting for us to like watch a
(36:19):
viewers but like, are they going to get married? I
don't know. I feel like she's making up for lost
time because she was married for like most of her career,
and so she's like, I could have been literally dating
all of these cool hot celebrities. I didn't, Yeah, and
now I'm going to now yeah. Or it could be
like the Emroda Pete Davidson. I forgot that. I forgot
(36:41):
that that even happened. Yeah right, She's just like going,
you know, she's like, who's hot right now? Great Emerda
is Pete Davidson. Yeah, she is the Pete Davidson. I
didn't come up with that on my own. I saw that.
I can't take full credit for that one. Um, when
(37:01):
you get asked about like um Vander pump Roule stuff,
does you're like, do you get just like h or
you like that was a really like this is a
fun thing to talk about for me because I'm not
in it anymore. Okay, it's a fun thing to talk
about privately, so like when my neighbors text me about
it or something like. I think it's fun, but I
do have a little anxiety like being here been talking
(37:22):
about it really publicly because I know that um, it
will then be turned into like a headline and it'll
look like I'm just like doing a press tour about
vander pump Rolls, which I think is like kind of
thirsty and embarrassing. So like this isn't like the normal
way I talk about it. I normally like just do
it like behind everyone's backs. Yeah, you know. Yeah, it's
like you're like text gossip. Yeah I get that. Sorry,
(37:46):
we made sure kind of you uncomfortable like talking about it,
you know how it is. It's like things that they
just everything always looks not how you intended it to be,
Like the headlines always just see and then people don't
actually listen, so they're like they just get a snippet
of like what it. Yeah, and then it's like Staci's
(38:06):
still thirsty because she's like doing podcasts now talking about
Vanner pump Roules. It's like that's not why I was there.
Were there whatever Harry Styles And yeah, I was there
to talk about Harry Styles. Okay. It is so one
of those things, and like it's I wouldn't even say that.
I am like, oh, I don't watch the show, but
I know so much about the show and the people
on the show. More than I ever have because of
(38:27):
it's like you almost can't talk about it, and especially
being a part of the show for so long, it's
like it's a it's a delicate like balance of like
acknowledging it and not letting it become like the only
thing that like people see when they look at me. Yeah, well,
I think you're I think you've done a really good
job with your separation from the show of you're writing books,
(38:49):
you're doing the podcast, you're a mom. I mean, there's
like so much that you're like separated, but you're not
like what, I'm gonna go deep on you here, Okay,
what do you want people to see when they look
at you? Oh? That is so so deep? You know,
we're the headline grabbing podcast. We're like the deep down.
Can't Yeah, oh god, I don't know. I mean I
(39:12):
feel like I want people to look at me and
and be like, you know what. No, Like, she is
a good person, and she's a great mom. She's a
good wife, and she's good at her job, and she
hasn't like totally lost her head. She's still like a
little like you know, like mildly evil, Like if you
had had to make her evil, you know, like you know,
(39:33):
just like still like somewhat edgy, Like I haven't like
fully lost it and turned like I'll live laugh love. Yeah, No,
I don't see you as love laffla, thank you, m.
I haven't really thought about it, but I think I
just don't want people to think that vander pump rolls
and drama is the only thing I'm good for. Like,
(39:54):
if I don't have drama in my life, then what
then I'm worth riving? Right, you know? A moment of silence. No,
because no, I do like a lot of self work.
I read like a lot of self help books, and
I'm always asking myself these like really intense questions. But
I find it interesting because I'm like, if you don't
(40:16):
know what you want people to see, how are you
supposed to like live that out. That's a good point, Okay.
I guess I didn't like fully mean the world word evil.
I kind of just meant like, yeah, okay, I'm still
cool and edgy. I'm still hip, all right, Yeah, yeah,
(40:36):
Like I still have a little bit of a dark side.
I like where you would do edgy. I feel like
he really leaned into that role. I love because I
love dark things. I love witchy things. I love horror movies.
I love haunted houses. I love spooky things. My daughter
like her first word, I'm you not with skull, Like
I'm not joking. She knew the word skull before like
(40:58):
any other word. Um, she loves halloween. We just like
I don't know. I'm just like I've always been like
really interested in spooky things. The semi goth girl from
Amazing Strong. Yeah she's come a long way. Yeah, Um,
what I wanted to say? Where can people follow you
(41:19):
on Instagram? Are you popping? Like do you like pop
off on TikTok or do you a TikToker? I um
and a TikTok observer. I post every now and then,
but like I'm really into TikTok. I love scrolling, I
love watching. But I'm not somebody that posts all the time.
It's like so daunting, Like people are like I'll tell
you how to do it, like you have to post
five to eight times a day, and I'm like, you
(41:39):
guys are working batch crazy if you think I'm gonna
do that, like your TikTok, like your Instagram stories, I'm like,
oh no, I overthink everything I post on TikTok, and
I spend so much time on it. I'm like, I'm
gonna make this montage of me and my daughter in
Paris to like a renaissance like music, and like literally
five people like it. I just spend six hours on that. No,
(42:03):
it is so funny when the videos like, do you
want to know how to grow your TikTok, here's what
you have to do eight times a day, Yes, every
day for one year. Yeah, and you might grow. It's insane. Yeah,
you might. It's insane. There's no Well, we appreciate you
coming on here. I'm sorry that we asked about vander Pump,
(42:23):
but thank we made you uncomfortable. You guys did not
make me uncomfortable. Get it like you. It's like you.
And to be honest, I feel like a lot of
people that are from the show have been like this
my moment to like get it out there. So I
think it's fair to not one. But it's not even
I think the thing is it's it's in reverse. It's
not like like you have other stuff going on, so
(42:46):
you do press you. It's just a byproduct of the
fact that you were from this show. And it's literally
everything I know and I think I'm overthinking it right now,
your person ourselves, but like I've had to learn to
overthink so it is. You did not make me uncomfortable whatsoever.
This was so much I really myself. But I swear,
(43:07):
if people think you're thirsty, then Mike, I think you're
doing all right. If that's like the worst people think,
you know what I mean, Like all right right, not really,
I don't know. I don't want like, I don't want
to be thirsty. Nobody does what I'm saying out of
everything else, Like there's worse things worse. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
there's worse things. Yeah. I don't think exactly that's true.
(43:29):
You could be doing sit down interviews with DMZ. Yes,
that's a that's a good point. You're gonna get that money,
the whole what did you say, like a whole year's
contract worth? Yeah, one interview too. I don't think that's
accurate anything. Um. Where can people find you on social media? Um?
(43:51):
On Instagram at stas Schroeder. I guess it's the same
on TikTok. If you want to give me a follow
and see a TikTok like once every three months. Um,
that's it. If people want to go to my tour.
It's Stacy Schroeder dot com slash the Mommy Deers Tour,
and they can listen to my podcast Stripe with Stacy anywhere.
And then I have a second podcast, The Good, The Bad,
the Baby on Patreon, so that's patreon dot com slash
(44:13):
stac Oh. Wow, Like I can love it really and
I feel so much safer there, Like I feel like
I can say whatever I want and like it doesn't
really matter because it's behind a paywall. I know. I've
been thinking Stacy's got my brain well, like I have,
Like I have my public one and then I have
a more private one, so it's like I feel like
(44:33):
it's the best of both worlds. Yeah, you're you're a busy,
busy woman, and thank you for your time. Thank you guys.
We can't wait to see what's next. And are you
coming to LA for the show? Yes? On my birthday.
Actually it'll be my thirty fifth birthday June twenty fourth
at the Ace Hotel downtown and so I'm just like
really going to lean in. Yeah, yeah, hopefully we'll be
(44:58):
there cheering you on. I would love to have sober
make it all around you. Thanks Jussie, thank you,
