Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya Red and I
Heart Radio podcast. Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in. It's
about like a really long time since we've scrubbed, because
we scrubbed a lot in a few days, and then
we didn't scrub for a little bit. So it's been

(00:20):
a minute and we haven't scrubbed in your home in
l a And in a long time. So it feels
right again. It feels nice. Um. I have Becca's gift
here that I got for the fifth anniversary, so I
jumping right into that. I'll give you that, okay later
a little bit later, because there's a lot to discuss. Okay,
So where do you want to start? Well, are in
depth with our significant others? I mean where do we begin?

(00:45):
First of all, so much love from our scrubbing in
listeners and community and um, and then also hello to
our new listeners because I think we have some new
people who have joined into the scrubbing and community. So welcome,
You're so happy you're here. But what did you want

(01:05):
to discuss specifically? You just I felt nice, It felt nice,
It felt like we've come a long way. It felt
like it kind of felt like our next chapter. I agree,
it felt like a turning page. You know, like the
first few years we were kind of just like finding

(01:26):
our footing and you know, uh, doggie paddling in the
in the in the in the dating world, you know,
like trying to keep afloat doggie paddling, trying all the things,
more so me than you. Um. And then we had
like all these nicknames, and now they have names and
they're real humans and they have voices. Like giving them

(01:48):
a voice felt very significant. It did, it really did.
I mean it was really cool to have both of
them come on and get to like for people to
get to kind of know them in their personnel. He's
a little bit more because really all they know is
like our side of the store, our side, and then
whatever they see on social media, like they don't get
to hear them talk or or have their like opinions

(02:10):
or whatever their versions. So it was really fun to
to have both of those things. Yeah. And I was
actually talking to a friend of mine who's a scrubber
over the weekend actually shout out and um, she was
saying she was like, it felt really cool to hear
about like the trigger event from Red Stars perspective. Because
like you don't want to touch too much on it
because you're trying to be respectful of his privacy. So

(02:31):
it's like nice to hear kind of what actually happened
versus kind of what I imagine happened. So that was
nice to hear. And well, you said it in uh
Hayley's episode, but you were like, there's always three sides
to every story, like one your side, his side, and
the truth. And I think obviously from our perspective and

(02:54):
like my perspective and then listeners perspective, everyone's like, it
was so angry about that, are you? You know? But
then hearing his perspective and what he was going through,
you have a little more empathy. Like I think giving
them a voice was great because all the things we
talked about this podcast, they got a chance to empathize
with them. So that was really fun. And thank you

(03:14):
everybody for the nice messages, and um, you know, I
feel like I did Barbara Walters some justice because I
gotta really you know, you did amazing. Thank you. Yeah,
it felt good. Yeah, if you really channeled it could
be an Emmy Award winning episode, the Haley one, you know. Yeah,
I don't know if they do that, but they should.

(03:36):
I thinks, no, don't they do podcast for something not Emmy?
I don't. I don't believe. So there is something with it.
Emmy's like a big time award show that does podcast.
I feel, yeah, a golden globe. Perhaps, I don't think
that's right. I don't think that's right. Oh is it?

(03:57):
I think you could be it? Yeah, or maybe it's
maybe the Grammys for a spoken word, But I think
they do. It has to be like a whole thing.
Like I don't think they do specific podcast episodes. But
you know what, this is something that we can really
hammer out the details and kind of we can figure
that out, because I think we should maybe present it
to the board and and and and apply to be

(04:17):
considered for your consideration this award season. Hello. We are
Tanya at and Becca Tilly, and we have a proposal. Yeah,
we would like this episode to be considered for your
consideration for this upcoming awards season. Thank you very much. Yeah,
it was really fun and you did such a great
job of asking questions that, um I felt like people

(04:40):
really wanted to know about. Yeah, thank you so much.
I feel like I missed there was one people really
want to know about some Mario Kart fight. So I
feel like I missed on the Mario Kart fight. You know,
people were messaging me about that too, and I remember
talking about on the podcast. I remember we actually did
get in a fight about I didn't realize it was
such a resonating hot topic. So I apologize for not
Maybe next time I'll bring that one up. Um. And

(05:01):
then also I think we also need to address we
were getting a lot of dance about the newly Wed Game. Um,
I just wanted to let everybody know, you know, uh,
Becca did lose, and and she not so great with
the losing, So therefore you don't get o God, that
is not why, although it was, I would never but

(05:22):
it was such a hard pill to swallow, and I
like had to really channel my inner piece to get through,
like to go to sleep that night. It was horrible.
I don't know. I mean, if a tree falls in
the forest and no one's around, does it make a sound?
If Becca loses the newly Wed Game and no one
gets to hear it, did she really lose? Well, they're
going to see the clips. Unfortunately, because we're not, we didn't.

(05:45):
We decided not to release it. As like a podcast,
but we're going to release the clips so you can
have a visual aid while you watch a little taste
of it. But it just what we had. We had
some unforeseen errors happened, and we didn't want to post
it not with like great quality, you know what I mean,
because it was so highly anticipated. So we're gonna try
and do it again and give it to you guys, right.

(06:05):
But for the record, Tanya and Robbie beat us pretty badly.
I think I would say that's not it. It wasn't.
They definitely beat you, but it was like a blowout.
It wasn't. There were some questions where like I my
competitive side could have started a fight with Haley because
I was like you know better, Like I felt, I

(06:28):
was just like you know better. But I had to
rein that in as it was, you know, just a game,
friendly little game that we lost. So we'll post what
we can some of the questions and stuff on Instagram
so you guys and kind of see what went down.
But we'll definitely do it again. We just we also
have to get like the four of us together drunken.

(06:49):
The alcohol element adds a fun layer to it. I believe, yes,
I mean Haley. The only thing was that Hailey was
because she had a show and off she wasn't so
she was like, you know, sober, and we were all irresponsible. Yeah,
so maybe we'll just maybe she can take an edible

(07:11):
or something if you don't want to drink. Maybe that'll
give us a better shot. You know what they say,
what the second cut HiT's different? I think the actual
thing is the first cut is the deepest. So but
I appreciate you trying to switch it around. All right, Yeah,
so shanava um and we are going to switch gears.

(07:34):
What do what did you just say means happy New Year?
Oh yeah, I was gonna switch gears to our weekend.
You switch gears in the most that that transition was
like your TikTok transitions. Yea, the transmission just fell out
of my car. Yeah, speaking of before we getting to

(07:57):
the weekend, Tanya's TikTok's and els the transitions pain me.
I just want everybody to know that even if you're
not good at something, it does not mean you cannot
partake in the party. I'm not good with these things,
but you know what, I'm still showing up and I'm
still having a good time, and that's all that matters. No,
I mean, it's that's what I'm saying. It's like you're

(08:19):
having a great time. You're you're doing the most. It's
just it's it's harder than it looks these things. Yeah,
it is, it really is. And and imagine like spending
so much time trying to get a transition right and
then the algorithm just like screws you and no one
sees it, and you're just like, for what, that's the thing.
I don't waste my time on them. I just it's

(08:41):
a hundred degrees out here. I don't get my stomp down.
But I'm gonna post it anyway. Well, maybe I don't
know if I have the time or patients I have
the time. I don't know about the patients to do that.
But maybe you could send your footage to Crystal and
she could, Um, yeah, I don't know if anyone would
know that, everyone would know it wasn't you though, you've

(09:03):
exposed yourself. But speaking of wait before so, Crystal posted
the clip of us knocking on the door and Robbie
was so offbeat on the knocks, but Crystal put the
sound to Robbie being on beat and so Hailey looks
like she's offbeat, and people were like, wow, you would
think as a musician that Hailey would be on beat.

(09:23):
So I was laughing and I showed Haley and she goes,
what the heck? She was like, Crystal screwed me. She
was like, Robbie had no rhythm, and she said the
beat to Robbie beat looking like he was on key,
and I was like, yeah, that was pretty dirty, but wow, well,
honestly respect because he needs the help. And the TikTok,

(09:47):
the TikTok of us walking in a line when I
need a mood boost, I just go and I I
let it replay so I can watch you go across
the screen. It is the highlight of that whole weekend
was that TikTok. For my favorite parts. When we're filming it,
Robbie was like, don't do it. Don't He's like, be
more cool, babe, don't be so hokey. And I'm like,

(10:09):
you don't gonna tell this girl what to do. She's
gonna be who she wants to be. Well, I couldn't
see so because I was in the front and I
was facing forward, so I didn't see what Tonan did.
So all I hear was babe, don't just be cool,
don't be so hokey, and she goes, do you know
who you're dating? So I didn't know what happened. I
just knew she was smiling. So when I saw the video,

(10:31):
I was dying laughing because hokey was the perfect work.
Yeah right, he nailed it, Yeah, he nailed it. Um.
So anyways, thank you for all the love, and I'm
so happy. All love the episodes and yeah they're fun.
They were great. And then a lot of transpired since
you know, we got that Don't Worry. Did you see
Don't Worry darling over the weekend? No, I haven't, but

(10:51):
I've I've seen a lot of reviews and TikTok's they're great,
I've gotten I've seen different mixed ones. I've not hurt
anything good. Really, I heard people. I've heard people say
like it was incredible and they left the movie like
feeling like shocked by the reviews and like what Rotten
Tomato said and all this stuff. And then I've seen

(11:13):
a lot of people like giggling, I guess, at is
there a scene that I guess like a sex scene
in there where they the girls just get like Farrell
over Harry Style. I don't know. I mean, I'm going
to see the movie obviously because as a Harry Styles
fan that's what we do. But um, my expectations are low. Yeah,
I'll see it too. I was just nervous. It was scary,

(11:33):
so I had to wait till because he has like
a psychedelic thriller that looks intense. But but this is interesting.
The the tumatometer or the tomato meter has it at
thirty eight percent, and that's the critics the critics percent,
but the audience score is se Yeah, the audience just
loves Harry. That's a big difference. Yeah, that maybe true.

(11:53):
If it's just if it's just um, what do they
call them, stylers, Harriers, Harriods, the inn Anyway, it was
just a super fans. You're right, that will excu the results.

(12:20):
So that came out over the weekend. We had our
iHeart Radio Music Festival. There's a lot of also hot topics.
Maybe we'll say the hot topics and we can debrief
o our weekend because I feel like it was a
big weekend for you. You guys made your red carpet debut.
We did, and we you know, we've given I Heeart
all the exclusives of our relationship, the podcast, our red
Carpet debut, It's all for I Heart. Um. Yeah. Well,

(12:43):
so Hailey got back from tour on Wednesday of last week,
and so when we were talking about I Heeart Festival,
I was like, you know what, that's gonna be our
first weekend together that she's back. So I don't I'm
gonna skip I Heeart Festival this year. So we weren't
planning on going. Well, then Amy reached out for Haley
to present, and I was like, that's really cool, Like
I definitely, I mean, let's go. So we flew out

(13:05):
on Saturday, and it was Haley's first I Heeart. I
think Haley's first I Heeart. No, she's done Pride stuff,
but like her definitely her first festival. And we flew
out and we got there and went to the event
and she had the best time. Yeah, it was so
freaking fun, like and I don't know if it's because

(13:29):
I think last year people were still still a little
like people were scared of COVID, So I think I
don't know, there was it seemed like less of a
crowd than there was this year. Um, but it was
so much fun. I had like such a blast. Well,
so what was that interview that y'all did together that
you interviewed Haley? What was that? So it's funny. I
wasn't supposed to so obviously get like a schedule of

(13:51):
the whole weekend. It gives me like the my call
times where I need to be and wanted to be doing.
And so I have like my whole schedule for the weekend.
And my girthy chunk was Saturday during the day at
the daytime stage, So I had all my stuff during
the day on Saturday and I had no responsibilities at night.
So I was like, you know what, I'm gonna throw
my kicks on. I'm gonna be comfortable and I'm just
gonna go and like chow down on food, drink some alcohol,

(14:12):
and like have fun. And that's what I wasn't planning
on doing. So I showed up to the festival and
I was like excited to hang out with you guys,
Like you guys got there and we just came in,
met up with you and whatever. And then they texted
me and they were like, hey, do you want to
do a Haley Kiyoko interview, and I was like, I
mean not really. I looked like I look like bad
and I've had a couple so it's probably not ideal.

(14:33):
But they were like, we really want you to do it.
Can you be here in two minutes? And I was
like all right. So I go to the broadcast room
and got to interview Haley for like the national broadcast,
which was really fun. It was really cool. I didn't
know that was happening, so because I knew Tony wasn't working,
so I was like, oh, this is cool that she's
doing this because I knew she was like off duty,

(14:53):
but um, it was really special and fun to see.
But it was really fun. It was funny because Haley
what I've always talked about Vegas because normally I go
for the whole weekend. It's like debauchery, debauchery, yeah, drunkenness, drunkenness,
and we're all like hanging out and it's like a party.
But this was more like we got there, she did

(15:14):
all we did all press and and interviews and then
she presented and that was it. There wasn't like a
lot of hangout time. So she was like, I wish
I could have hung out with everyone more like I
wanted to hang out and watch the show with Robby
and Tanya, and I'm like, I know, we'll have to
go back for the whole two days. But on the
carpet we had practiced our poses because we didn't know,
like what how to pose? I need a tutorial because

(15:37):
I don't I can't do anything. I don't think we
did to be honest, but I was like, we get
on the carpet and she changes her pose. I was
like like leaned over and I was like, you're you're
switching up the post. I don't know how to just
saw a little panic in your eye. I was like,
what's happening over there? I could be the post. She
she switched it up on me and didn't give me

(15:58):
a warning, So we don't up nice. They were fine,
we we there's always room for improving. And then there
was like this backstage photo op that was like a
pretend Elvis chapel. Get what get married? Did they tell?
So when we showed up, they were like, we can
actually get you married right now if you want. Like
they have like some like I don't even know what

(16:19):
it was, what you need and whatever you need to
be married. They had it there and they were like
do you want to? And and Robby and I did
it Friday night, and I was like pretty tossed and
I was like, babe, what do you think? He was
like no. And then then but then I walk in
and I know, and I'm like, Okay, that was the
better call because there was like two people there. There

(16:41):
was like an Elvis and then there's like two people
there and you have to interact it. You have to
do this like snake scene where you're like breaking up
a wedding. I was like, yeah, this is not it,
this is this was not it for us, But the
pictures were cute. Yeah, the photos were cute. We did
it too. And then Hayley posted a TikTok of us
like walking down the aisle and said like what happens
in Vegas? And everyone's like what and I'm like, no,

(17:02):
absolutely not. But we actually like so I was really
good about like when I was working, I was working,
and then when I wasn't working, I was really enjoying
the show. We spent a lot of time with Kristin Cavalari.
We spent like a good chunk of time talking to
her and Robbie was like, I didn't realize she was
so cool, Like how cool and chill and fun she is,
and so I was like, yeah, she's really cool and
chill and fun and we love her. Um. And then

(17:23):
we spent a lot of time with Teddy and Edwin
like dancing to that, and then we got to see
Marion Morris perform our song The Bones. We were like
super close to her, and so that was like really
emotional and fun. Everybody was just really good. I don't know,
there's just like a fun energy. Um, I agree, it
was like a really it was a fun. I heart festival.

(17:45):
I have to tell you, I'm obsessed with the guys
from Big Time Rush. I had to interview them for
this thing that um you got to I got to, yes, sorry,
So what we were doing, like, uh, we were doing
something with them at the festival, and so I didn't
interview with them to like promote it, and I ended
up really enjoying the two that I did the interview
with Kendall and Logan and I told them and then
theyre I was like, I really want to have you
guys on the podcast. I just love you, and then

(18:08):
we just really hit it off. And then at the festival, um,
we ran by them in the hallway and they were
like freaking out of a Robbie we were there like,
oh my gosh, we see you all over her Instagram
like no, and Robbie felt so like cool. He was like, Wow,
those guys were so nice, and so I want to
have them back on. They're done with like tour and
stuff in like October, and I want to have them

(18:28):
on because there's two of them to maybe do like
a mini mantal. We need a new mantel because Kendall
waited eight years to propose to his girlfriend and I
was like, there's a lot to unpack there, and not
forbid this happens to Tanya. I just wouldn't like there's
just no chance. Um, But I really liked them, So
I want to have the two of them on. But

(18:50):
in October. Okay, great, well mark our calendar when they
really have like the time, because I want them to
come in. I wanted to be like a thing this dude. Yeah,
I get it. Back to twenty nine. I also need
to talk about Easton at the podcast party because all
the ladies were posting their photo booth photos with Easton

(19:10):
and the scrubbers were freaking out. And then when we
were talking about the festival, Alison was like, you know,
I know everyone loves Eastern like I always hear it,
but watching it, I felt like, Wow, I felt like
I was dating the popular girl in school. Cute. It
was really nice to see everybody I don't get to,

(19:32):
you know, it's always zoom at these things, and we
get to a lot of really fun podcasts here at
I Heart Radio, So it's really fun to see everybody
in person. But who was the cutest the cutest? Uh,
we're freaking out over the One Tree Hill Drama the
Drama queens. Uh they there's like this photo booth and
Allison and I did it, but I didn't want to.

(19:53):
I don't wanta bother any of the talent to make
them take a picture of me, you know, so we
kind of went out fire ourselves. But then the drama
queens were like, Eastern getting picture with this, and it
was it was really fun. They were really sweet. They
made me look cool. Uh, Eastern is being modest. If
there's one thing I know about Easton for as long
as I've known Easton is that everybody loves Easton. That
is that is period, end of story. If you can

(20:14):
be the biggest celebrity in the world, you can be
the drama queens and be Ryan Seacrest. You could be
all these people, or you could just be Random's at Disneyland.
You can be just me, my family, everybody. Everybody loves
Eastern It's you're so sorry. Uh. One thing the thing
that really got me though, this is like a pinch
pea moment, was I I am a huge Boy Meets

(20:36):
World fan. I'm such a Boy Meets World fan. I
grew up watching that show. I love it so much,
and I'm lucky enough to work on the Pod Meets
World podcast. Uh, and it's so fun. And at one point,
Wilfred l who plays Eric Matthews, Corey's brother, and Wright
Strong plays course friend Sean Hunter. They came up to
me and like, Hey, we're getting a table over there
if you just want to come hang out with us.

(20:57):
And I was like, yeah, what's the table? Like at
a club they were we were at like this pool
at the hotel and they had this party thing and
there was like cabanas with like tables, and so he
brought me over and it was just the it was
like the four of us and Alison and I and
uh writer and Will and we just like talked about
music and and just talked to it. It was it

(21:19):
was like I was hanging out with someone. It wasn't
like I was. Sometimes I feel like it's like a
pity thing, like, oh, Eastan's off by himself, staring at
his shoes, Come over here and hang out with this.
But it just felt really cool that that was a
fun moment. But it's just so fun being able to
like hang out with everybody. I'm sad you guys weren't there.
Uh you know, Scrubbing In is uh my favorite podcast

(21:40):
that I work on. Let's get that video on tape
blast because you know, one of our other producers, Danielle Romo,
not to call anyone out, but she heard that was
maybe not her favorite one. Well, she was not here.

(22:00):
What did I tell you. I'm totally kidding. She loves us,
but I give her a hard time because I heard
some rumors got tense fast. I will say that the
but because I had obviously said I wasn't going because

(22:21):
I didn't know Haley was going to be going, but
I plan on not going, and then you know, so
funny what And so then I see all the photos
because they had sent me the invite, but I thought
it was something different I didn't like for some reason.
When I looked at the invite, I didn't realize it
was like what it was. So then I see the
photos of the best literally this is, and my stomach drops.

(22:45):
I'm like, Tanya, why didn't we get invited to this?
Like she messages me and she's like, they hated it.
They hate us, they hate us. And I was like, Becca,
we were invited to multiple times, like frantically pull up
the invite and I'm like, oh, yeah, you're right, I'm good,
I'm all good. I was like, not just once, multiple times.

(23:08):
So yeah, I had like a many like situation while
I was waiting for Tanya's response, which actually was like
a whole night because simly at like one am and
I go to sleep, and but I was up early
this I probably message you back at like six am. Yeah,
I wasn't up at that point. So anyway, so you're
really panicking overnight, which is not a great place. Yeah,
I think, yeah, it's okay. But anyways, it looked really

(23:32):
great and I'm just glad that that I know we
love you so much, but it was cool, like to
see this everyone freaking out on like Sophia Bush posting
you hellow, Hillary Burton, that's our girls guy, that's our
guy's girl. Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Oh yeah, I know that.
I don't know that he's my guy, but yeah, we

(23:53):
do would love to have her on the podcast because
she also was on Gray's Anatomy and broke up Callie
and Arizona's relationship. I know, so funny. Uh. Something that
I think is because I never watched One Tree Hill, Like,
I didn't know it was a I found out it
was a show because I was a fan of Janner
Cramer's music. I didn't know who existed, but I I

(24:14):
was in that was in therapy a few months ago
and I was talking about work in a positive way
and my course, yeah, I was like, I love I
work all the time and I love it. I'm so happy,
And my therapist was I was telling her about the
drama Queens and again in a positive way, and my
therapist just stops and goes, wait a second, do you

(24:35):
know do you know Sophia Bush? Do you know Brick Davis?
And I was like, I mean kind of I can't say,
can you can you tell her? I? Can you tell her?
I say, hid like a boundary and it got weird
and uh, I did tell her that, and she was
delighted to know that my therapist like stopped the session

(24:57):
to a grinding hall to professor love. Uh and Sofia
was very sweet about it. But that's the power that
One Tree Hill has. I think it's you know, it's
actually get to do a video saying, oh, actually, you
know what I forgot to tell you. This was also
a really like cool moment. So Friday night after the festival,

(25:18):
we um robbing and I went with a couple of
friends to Delilah for to eat after because I don't eat.
I don't eat at all when I'm working because I
don't want my breath to smell in case I'm doing
interviews whatever, So I don't eat, and so I'm starving
by the end of it. So we go to Delilah
and we sit down and guess who's sitting seated right
behind the table behind us. Mm hmm, give me a hint. No, yeah,

(25:40):
not the only but that was a risk that I took. Guess.
So they sit down at this table, and it's so
I haven't seen Sam Smith since pre pandemic and that
so now it's been about three years with the pandemic
and post and so it's been a while. So I

(26:01):
was like, I don't know if Sam's going to recognize me,
but we've we've always had such a bond because I
was one of the first people to interview them, and
so I was always going to their shows and I've
kind of been like in their face, you know what
I mean. So I go up, they sit down, and
I go up to the table and I'm like, you

(26:23):
did so great. I don't know if you remember me,
uh and and they go of course I do, and
gets up gives me a giant hug. Yeah, And I
was like, you did so so great. You were my
favorite performance tonight. Um and da da da. Robbie came
over and was like you were so great, dada da
And we had like this moment with Sam Smith and

(26:45):
then went back to our table and we were eating
and then the rest of the night Sam was up
dancing just having like the best time. And that was
like a really like fun moment, fun memory of the
weekend for me. I do too. I'm a fan, and
I'm really you know, I do try and try really
hard with the pronouns, and it's hard. It's hard, and
I think effort is really like what people ask for

(27:09):
and it's like you do your best adjusting, and I
think that's the respect that they ask for it. But
I will say, out of all the years I've known
Sam Smith, right now, it feels like they are living
their best life. Just no, like just did not care.
Was having a grand old time dancing. Just it was

(27:32):
really fun to see. Also, Delilah's like the best, not
the vaguest Delilah and not like nothing else, it's the best. Um,
all right, maybe we should take a break and then
we'll talk some hot topics. Talk some hot topics. We'll
be right back. Okay, we are back in. Tanya has

(28:05):
the list of hot topics that she wants to get to,
so let her take over. Well, nobody's gonna care. Well. Also,
we never talked about the Adam Levine scandal, which we
can talk about or not. But but but no one
on on this podcast watches Love Island UK. But except
for Hannah, who's going to enjoy this. Molly May and
Tommy Fury are having their first baby, and it's just

(28:30):
like it's they're basically the King and Queen of Love Island, UK.
Couples like, you don't get better than those two, and
so the fact that they're having a baby's like a
really big deal. So what season were they They were
season five? Oh that's the one I tried to watch. Yeah,
you should have kept going. It's great. Are they married? No,
they're not married, but you know, people don't need to
be married have baby. No. I didn't know if they

(28:51):
had gotten married from the show. Thank you for education.
I had no idea about that, no personal experience at all.
It's interesting you say that because I was talking to
a friend of the weekend and she was saying that
her and her boyfriend were thinking wanting to have babies soon.
And Sisney was next to me and she was like, oh,
are you are you married? And she said no, And

(29:14):
I was like, yeah, that's right. But I don't think
that's like a like, I don't think that's an offensive course,
it wasn't offensive. She wasn't offended at all. It's just
kind of now the new norm. Yeah, the new norm. Well, um,
congrassed to Molly May and her love Tommy Tommy. If
Molly may were to ever do it at podcast again,

(29:36):
although I don't think she will because she did one
podcast and like got totally. She had a lot of
hate on it because she said, like one thing wrong,
you know how that happens, And now I think she's
just never going to go on one. But if she
ever does, space here Molly fingers crossed, fingers crossed. And
then the other story that I have been glued to
over the past two weeks. You may be listening to

(29:58):
this and I have no idea who these people are
because they are local news anchors in Los Angeles, but
the story is so wild to me. So her name
is Lynette Romero, right, Romero's the last name. The Lynette
Romeo and Mark Muster. They work for a k l
A Channel five here in in l A. And they
do like the weekend news. Lynette has worked for k
l A for like twenty plus years. One day out

(30:22):
of nowhere, they just post on Instagram, they like post
her photo and just say like she's you know, no
longer with us, not like in a like she's no
longer with us, you wish her well? Yeah, And it
seems so weird, like she's been at this morning you know,
people have lived with this woman, known her for twenty
plus years, and it was like seemed really really weird.

(30:44):
So then the anchor that she like did all her
weekend shows with the guy basically kind of went rogue
on the weekend news and like gave this whole speech
about like how they did her wrong, Like she's been
at this company, she's been here for twenty plus years,
and she deserved better than that, and kind of went
into some of his favorite memories with her and and
kind of gave her the send off that he felt

(31:06):
she deserved. And the listeners to like the viewers were
all like, what the heck? So I guess what happened?
And I've just been reading this. This is all through articles.
I don't know anything insider. This is literally just stuff
that I've been reading. But apparently, so then he gets suspended.
He got suspended for kind of going off script and
ended it up, but then ultimately got fired from his
position for that. And it's so apparently Lynnette left because

(31:31):
she was going to a competitor. So that's like, okay,
let's say me, let's say I am Pradio doesn't exist anymore.
But let's say I'm I work for the morning show
Kiss FM. For I've been there now for twelve years.
I would think I would hope if I ever choose
to leave that position, that there there's gonna be a
little bit of like a thank you for your time,
thank you for spending so much of your life with us.

(31:53):
I would be heartbroken if I left to go to Like,
even if I left to go, there's I don't even
know how to a parallel A competitor depends. It depends.
Patter left the morning show after twelve fifteen years, and
she wasn't going to a competitor. She was just leaving
the morning show, and we did get a big farewell
to her for weeks. But if you left to go
compete with the morning show with your own morning show,

(32:16):
perhaps on a competing company, not even in the same building,
but you went to a competing company, I don't think
you'd be getting a big farewell. From my heart, it
is I I'm like, I'm so I get so torn
because I'm like the human in me is like feels
so sad about it because I'm like, you spend twenty
plus years of your life and then that's what you get.

(32:37):
But then I'm like, I also don't think it was
right for him to totally go off script on live
television like that, Like that's kind of scary for an employer,
you know. So I'm like trying to think of like
what he could have done to kind of give her
some more. I don't know, I've done something on Instagram,
like a personal page. But either way, the what is

(33:00):
the question? Does it warrant him being fired? I don't know.
I can't. The only thing I can think of is,
if you're an employer, you're like, you don't want to
lose Ann. Could he go off script on something else
that's a bigger deal, Like, you know, could Times had

(33:21):
an article about how he maybe wasn't the most fun
person to work with in the first place, So right,
right right, other elements to this, this may have been
a last straw situation. And again I don't know what's
going on over there, but that's what they're saying. I'm
so invested in it, and I don't, like I think
it actually made national news like it's a local news.
The news report about it, like people care or interested

(33:43):
at least, because I don't know, because I could see
myself doing that, you know what I mean if somebody
laughed and didn't like you know, if like you decided
you don't want to do the podcast, and then they
were just like, Okay, no, it's just scrubbing in with Tanya,
and you don't you know, like I would be like, no,
I'm gonna do a full thing and talk about how
much I love her, and like I wonder if she
was going to start a different podcast called Scrubbing Out
with Becca Tilly, I would still do it. She finds

(34:05):
another blonde best friend co host, and her goal is
to take you down and beat you for People's Choice Awards.
I don't think you would. Okay, well, what Linda is doing,
so let's we don't know what is doing. Let's trying
to draw more of a parallel. She just got. This
is a parallel. She's going to a different news station
in Los Angeles. L A. Okay, but you're making the comparison.

(34:27):
I'm just saying if it was the same situation, I
don't think you'd be saluting Becca. Let me tell you
if Becca did that got another co host, another friend
of hers that is blonde, and wanted to take me
down for People's Choice Award. I would still give her
the credit that she deserves for the years she put
into this podcast, spending her life with me and the listeners. Yeah,

(34:47):
I would. I would rise above it. I'd say good
luck to you, here's some witches brew. But I would
give her her I would give her her what she
deserves on this show. I would. Yeah, I don't know.
I find that it was that if they could just
see like their their friends who did this together for

(35:07):
this long. Like, I think it's fair for him to
have words to say to honor her. But beyond that,
I don't have much of it. I don't have corporate bass.
I just can't. I don't either. I couldn't either, could never,
don't have it in me. You did bring up Adam Levin,
which I don't really like have anything. I've heard every

(35:28):
single opinion because is the one I'm invested in this,
So this one's fascinating to me him, Yes, why do
you know? Why? Why is it fascinating to you? It's
fascinating to me because and again we don't know what anything,
what we read. We I feel like we always have
to say that to make sure that nobody thinks we
have inside information working here or anyway, if he cheated

(35:51):
on his wife the Victoria's secret model with people women
on Instagram and he was really stupid enough to d
M them and it was really stupid enough too. Then
after it ended and it was dead and dormant and
he never got busted. He got away with this affair.
He then goes back to and says, Hey, I want
to name my kid after you. Cool. I mean, what

(36:11):
a moron? Come on, And that's what I'm fascinated by.
I'm fascinated by unhinged moron behavior because it's so foreign
to me because I leave a very button down, regimented life,
and that's what I'm fascinated by. But I think that
it's because and what's interesting is because he said he
didn't have an affair because he never took anything like
made not anything physical. So like I guess, you know,

(36:34):
he tried to say he didn't cheat because he didn't
like it wasn't physical. But I think that there's like
when you're a rock star, when you're like, um, you know,
we're just calling somebody from Room five rock star, But
Adam Vine is a rock star and you're used to
like all this attention. You're used to all the applause
and the applause and the applause, and then this pandemic

(36:54):
hits and you're not getting applause. You have a wife
who's probably like, Okay, can you wipe your but and
like help me in the kitchen, you know what I mean? Like,
you know, it's like that's realital like this like sex,
god seven, it's just not it. And he probably was
like desperate. I'm not justifying his actions, but I'm like,
it's that that psyche of just like he needs this attention.

(37:15):
He needs attention from women. If he's not getting it
on the stage and not getting it at home, he
needs it somehow, and like it's at his fingertips, it's
on Instagram and it's so crazy. And like I thought
the same thing too. I was like, why would you
DM someone and say you're gonna name your child after them?
But clearly she was ignoring him for however many months,
and he needed to say something like jarring to catch

(37:35):
her attention, you know what I mean? Yeah, but all
of it. I mean, look, I understand you want that adoration.
I get that, and you have it there and women
are freaking out of you and probably sending U nuities
and everything else, but to interact with them, to be
emailing them and saying, oh, you're so effing hot, your
body is unreal and all this stuff. I mean, that's unhinged.
It's so it's so funny because Robby and I got

(37:56):
we didn't into like an argument, but he was just
like lawyered no, because he was like, Tanya, how do
you not see that that that's probably, you know, like
he needs that attention. He's like, you don't understand. He's
like you and I are not that way, so like
it's hard for us to understand, but you can't see
like that that that's obviously what he needs that constantly.
And I was like, okay, sure, but then don't get married.

(38:16):
If you need that attention, that constant attention, then just
get that from all these different women, But do not
marry somebody. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
And he was like he was doing both of those things.
He was having his cake and he was eating it too,
but not now it's crumbling down. Presumably now that's over.
But what do you do if you're Bohotti in this situation?

(38:36):
Oh my god, I would be so grossed out. I
would have the biggest act towards him. Yeah, that's I agree,
Like it's I couldn't see him the same. I would
just feel like and it's like he's been it's been
so mocked at this point, like the memes and stuff
I us, but it just shows like his character, you know,
and like that's the character. Why would you want to

(38:58):
be with someone for the rest of your life for
that type of character? I just don't. I mean, I
guess what is that ego or ego, but to message
multiple women and just assume that they're not gonna tell
people or like leak that or release it like that
is a that is like a level of ego that

(39:22):
I don't think any of us can comprehend. You know.
What is interesting though, because uh, Robbie wanted to have
a conversation with me and he was like, I want
to talk to you about Instagram and I was like, oh,
like my posting too much about you. I didn't know
where he was going and he was like, you know,
um scrubbing in listeners do DM me from time to

(39:43):
time And he's like sometimes I respond, you know, with
like a crime. You know, it's always about the podcast
or something that they see, and he's like, is it
okay with you if I respond? And I was like,
that's so sweet that he that he asked, and I
was like, of course, like I was like, respond to
all of them. I love them, I trust you completely,
I trust them completely. But I thought it was sweet
that he even asked if that was okay, you know,

(40:05):
because obviously no, he's not doing anything or but I
like that he and he I just I just like
that he asked me that. I thought it was like,
that's great because I do feel weird about I. I
feel weird, and I'm sorry if that comes off as rude.
Sometimes I feel weird. D m ng uh scrubbing scrubber
is on Instagram. It's m a woman. It's just it
is exactly the face of it. It's a woman. So

(40:26):
if they ask a question, I'll try to answer it
or something like that, but I don't try to have
a whole conversation going good, Yeah, it's weird. Um. Yeah,
I was like, I love you, but we love them all,
love them all. Yeah, And he loves it too. He's
like they're so funny. They're like sending like stuff about
the fantasy football, you know what I mean. And so
he thinks it's like it's all funny and he loves

(40:48):
it and he is like he is totally engaging and
having fun with it. But I thought it was sweet
that he asked. Elis and I had a similar conversation
because I get a lot of d m s too,
and I feel I feel bad like not answering them.
Uh but um, I was like, they're they're all there's
like when one dude that messages hasn't hear, I'm like,
it's all women, is this like? And she's like I

(41:09):
don't care. I don't care. Um uh one person and
then I don't respond if they're mean though, Like one
person messaged me so mad about the bachelor people that
were at the music festival, like they were like, uh, who,
who the hell is this Genevieve person? And we weren't
interesting bachelor people there, and I was like, I don't
have anything to do with things, like we're talking to

(41:29):
me for I don't care. Uh. So I left that
one on Red but everyone else has been very nice
about that one on Red. Easton doesn't control who comes
to iHeart Festival, exceparate that person we didn't find a
person who doesn't love East. And there they are. Yeah,
I won't say their name on here, but there their

(41:50):
avatar is a cat. I'll be able to look out
watch out for um. Well, I think we have to
I think we gotta go. I don't think we have
time to do an email. We don't, we don't. But
it's okay because we have just have a little bit
of time left. And I have a present for you.
All right, what is this for? And look at the deck.

(42:12):
This was for our five year anniversary. It did not
come by the time we left for San Francisco, so
here it is now. You can read the card later.
There's a card in there, but just for the sake
of time. Oh this this is so cute. It's like, well,
I'll describe it and then maybe Cristal show. It's a

(42:34):
it's a prayer for my friend. It's like a little
piece of it's like a framed well, it's on a
piece of wood, because wood is what you give your
significant other after five years of marriage and we are
work wives. Yeah, five year anniversary. It says a prayer
for my friend. I thank you Lord for giving me
such a wonderful, true friend. You knew how much I'd

(42:55):
need one, and you knew just who to send. A
true friend who is always there with willing, helping hands,
a shoulder I can lean upon in a heart that understands.
Bless my special friend who gives such love so willingly,
and bless me too, Dear Lord, I pray an equal
friend to be. Oh that's sweet. Five years, I I

(43:20):
feel so. It's like crazy that it's been five years.
And I love like the journey that we've all been on,
like from the start of the podcast of like me
starting out and like having monologues with Mark and Easton
and Amy to like bringing you on, like I would
just like go on a monologue because I talk when
I feel like I need to fill silence. But anyways, um,

(43:42):
and like our dating life and and falling in love
and going through that journey and like all of it.
It's just so cool that the span of five years
is documented on this podcast. It's really cool and I'm
so proud. So I'm really grateful for all of you too,
And the next five years we're going to be super cool.

(44:02):
It's a new era. It's it's scrubbing in two point Oh,
I don't think. Actually, you know what we do need
to update our like photo and stuff. We really do. Yeah,
we haven't done it for like that. I'm not that
girl that's on the cover photo. I don't even recognize her.
She's not her. I'm not either her. Is she? She
can't come to the phone right now. She can't come

(44:23):
to the phone right now. She she her, her, her,
her her her she Megan Sellion, nobody anybody got me? Um.
We love you all. We love you all. Shana Tova.
To anybody celebrating the Jewish New Year, you say shena

(44:45):
tovatvava and we hope you all have a great week,
great week. We will be back next week with more fun,
more fun, and we love you so much. Love you.
