Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing In with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast Hello everybody,
we are scrubbing in the heartbeat. I thought it made
me think of the video the Gray's Anatomy said.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Were you proud of me? But when I did that? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
But did you hear that I put the sound in there?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah? It was cute. The way you whipped out that
video was real.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Have a vision, it can happen quick, mart. Did you
say we went to the Grays Anatomy set?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
You know, I must have missed that, but I I
know you went. I do know that you went, that
you were going, and that was we did.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
You know. What's so crazy is like, I we have
so much to talk about today.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I know, Well, where do we begin with it?
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Well, let's just start here, since we found a way
to intro a topic. I literally can remember seeing images
from cake cutting episodes like the significant episode count Gray's
Anatomy always does like a cake cutting celebration, and I
can remember seeing them on like people dot com before
(01:17):
social media. I would check like people dot com to
see what the celebs were doing, and I would just
be like wow, how cool to be at a cake
cutting ceremony for Grey's Anatomy.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Flash forward to twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
So four hundred and fifty episode later, we finally made it.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
That's amazing. So was the whole cast there?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
In fact, they were not all there, however, a big
portion of that wow.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Like.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I'd say like seventy percent.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
And what's interesting is we've met I would.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Say ninety percent of that seventy yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
So they were happy to see you and they knew you,
and you felt welcomed totally, not like intruders at all.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
No, no, not what we belonged.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Actually, they're kind of like, oh, there they are again.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, like this makes sense.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
I think what can say, like the co star.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Like it's unofficial something.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Unofficial cast members. Yes, and that's what she realizes. We
have yet to be extras on the show.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
But I do think you don't watch anymore? I do,
you know, I'd.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Like to pick a bone with you, because just because
I do not watch it right now does not mean
that I do not have loyalty and love for the
community that this show has brought to me into my life.
So the next time you pooh pooh me, I'm gonna
pooh pooh you right back.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Wow, Well you can watch this Thursday when the new
season starts.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
I will not.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I'm actually I'm back in it. I am back in it.
Pretty hardcore, but it is exciting because it was so exciting.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
We got to see the post it.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
It was on set. Yeah, and they took a group
of us back to the props room with the prop
master and she was explaining, showing things about like just
how you know, the props work and whatnot. And she goes,
oh and this and brings out the post it that's framed,
you know, the post.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, that's a big deal.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Is a big, big deal. And the sparkly pager Tanya
got to wear that. Yeah, we saw just like she
talked about how like the blood splatter all that stuff,
you know, how they make They.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Had like every magazine cover that any of them had
ever got, got all over the walls.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah. It was crazy and it was filled.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
And then yeah, we watched them cut the cake and
then we sat and hung out and Camilla came up
and said.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Hello, came over running with arms wide open. Might I add, yeah,
we love She's so cute. The cutest.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
I think she appreciates you guys, because I do believe
that she and her co host, don't call it what
it is, Jessica Capshaw, were very influenced by YouTube and
this podcast.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Oh wow, well that means so much. I'm obsessed with
both of them.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
So I'm obsessed with both of them. And I keep
wanting to remind Camilla that she did say she would
invite us to a watch party at some point at
her house. And I don't know when the appropriate time
to bring that back up is.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, I don't know either. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
It's been years, so.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
But we Tanya made sure to run over to Owen
Kevin McKidd and tell him remind him that she that
we did have him on the podcast, and she did
tell him she didn't like his character, and he's like,
I videoed her telling of that. Yeah, he would say
to him.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Oh, I said, uh, well, I was like, oh my gosh,
oh hunt. And then I was like, what's his actual name?
Like I was like on the spot and I couldn't
remember his actual name. Kevin, Hi, Kevin, it's Tanya. I
don't know if you remember me, and you were on
our podcast many years ago when it was on Zoom,
so we didn't actually meet in person, but you came
on and we were talking about how we didn't like
your character because he cheated on Sena, but then we
(05:00):
loved you so much that we ended up loving in
because we loved you so much. It was like, ah, yes,
what you guys. Wait, my hands were going and I
posted the video. Robbie is like a lot of hands. Yeah,
it was like a lot of hands flying around.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
She gestured over towards me, and so he looks at
me kind of confused, and then he goes, oh, like
I think when she told him and I told you,
I did it like your character or something? Yeah, it
clicked or he pretended like it clicked. Whatever the reason
he seemed to acknowledge it. So whatever. He's so nice.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
He's just like everybody says, you still don't like the character.
I mean, you've never really come.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Around got better. So yeah, that was great. And then
we Jason George like came and he was like, hey, like,
only real press allowed in here, only real press a lout.
So he said hey to him and hugged him. And
then first guest of scrubbing in before Tanya pre t
(05:59):
our era.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, returning, we've had him many times.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Well yeah, but he was he launched it for me.
He launched it for me. So anyways, we were like
on our way out and Chandra Wilson, who plays Bailey.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
That's the first person I was gonna ask about.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
So she was walking by. So we had turned around
because I was like, Tanya's eating a pretzel and I'm
like tap her, like get her attention, and Tanya's like
chasing her, but won't.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Say I like chasing her, like literally chasing her with
the pretzel in my mouth.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
She was this close to her, so she was hovering
over her.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I didn't want to touch her because it felt and
it feels inappropriate to tap.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
I don't like raising her.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I don't know, you know, it's a weird world these days.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
So when we turned around, Jason George was walking towards it,
so I caught eyes with him and I was like
like pointing at her, like help, and he goes, oh, Chandra,
have you met these two? They have the best podcast
in the world. So then we go on it.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
So then we have like backtrack and we're like, actually,
we have met you one time before, remember ten years ago?
We were at Paley Fest. We were in scrubs.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
She remembered, she did yeah again, Okay, she's nice. She
was very nice.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
About you guys.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
She for sure remembered.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
She was like, it was like a light bulb, you
remember when you go to Paley Fest. It was the
last Pailey Fest that they did.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I do think we're probably memorable and we're.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
In scrubs, acting out scenes while their other press has
like videographers and like people with glam with microphones.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
That's true. Our scrubs didn't match. There were two different blues.
We certainly were not professional, so we would be if
she did remember as memorable, that would be what she
remembers from. But she was like, well, how do I
get in touch with you to come on your podcam?
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
So we said our people were touching because she goes,
I don't have social media or did she said she
have some? She said something I like kind of blacked out,
but and we were like, our people will get it.
We'll get in touch with you, don't you worry.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah, but she did say like she acted interested, and
Jason really like hyped us up.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, but I was very I was like, we know,
this is not you know, whatever you want. Remember, I
was like, if you can, if you have the time,
we really appreciate it. Like I was trying to be
very like respectful.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Right because they're just going to work. They're not going
like you know, idn't.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Be demanding or like rude or.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, but there was fans. It wasn't like a like,
it wasn't oppressive. There were other content creators there. That's
how we got invited. So it was a really really.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Cool How about Amelia Shepherd? Was she there?
Speaker 2 (08:37):
She was not there, Mark, and you know what I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
In the finale of last season, I was getting a
little concerned of who I wasn't seeing because I was.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Like, there was a big somebody dies. May did they
confirm that there's an explosion?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
We know that Ellen wasn't there.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
About doctor Richard Webber, he was.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
We were a little intimidated to go say hello, but
Antonia did pass him and point to him on the
way to go say I to Kevin McGinn and they
have a video, so it was really fun.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Yes, my biggest regret was not going up to her.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
I know, but she but by the time she was
done with press, she like grabbed her bag and looked
like she was having to rush somewhere, and it just
didn't feel like the time to stop him.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
My only regret from that, well, I had two regrets.
Oh not stopping her because she was quick. She was quick,
she was bubbly and bouncing around. To me, she didn't
seem like she was in a rush. But then once
she finished her press, she was was gone the link
of an eye, and I was like, dang it, why
that regret? And then.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yes, yeah, but but I think what where she was
very much like being talked to by everyone, you know,
like press, and then also the cast because I'm sure
they don't see her a lot, right, and so.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I don't know that there was ever a time for us.
She was never never available. She was never available. But
that was my second regret, not going up to her.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Yeah, it was really really fun.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
But we did hear some insider info that she's amazing
to work for, like she's just like a girl, Like
she's a girl's program.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, Sean rhymes anytime we are ready to have you.
And then what was so cute is the actor who
stands in for Camilla for scenes. She came up and
said hi, and she used to be Haley stand in
for Hailey was on a show called CSI Cyber and
(10:42):
she was she wore a blonde wig and was Haley standing.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
That's awesome, I know.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
So she was really sweet, really sweet.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
You can make a career as a stand in huh.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Oh yeah wow.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
And she said when when she's not stand she said,
when she's not Oh well, she got her, she loved
she did like a dad joke reaction. But she was
saying when she's not doing standing for Camilla because like
if they only have a couple of days a week
that they're working, she is just like an extra on
Grey's Anatomy, so they work all week.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, so we learned a lot, Yes.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Doctor Nick Marsh, Scottie Speedman, was he there?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
He was not?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
He was not, But you know who was there? Another
regret of mine link.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Oh yeah, Chris Carmack.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah, he would have been a doll to talk to.
I feel he's great.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
We've had him on the podcast is one. I wonder
if he'd remember.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Also on Zoom. Yeah, so less memorable Zoom, I feel
like is less memorable. Yeah than an in person, right, exactly,
earn shake your energy.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
In person is unmatched, unhinged. It was really fun and
we were I mean we were on this we were
on set, you know, we were on the lot. So
the second time, yeah, been there before, were.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
On our way there beca stopped at the gas station
because she needed gas, and.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Well, I could have tried to make it, but I
was trying to be respectful to you, not being not
making nervous.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
No, I'm not. I'm not worried about the gas stop.
I'm worried about the fact that she thought she threw
a credit card in the trash. So she pulls the
trash can out and starts rummaging through.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
It, and this is a gas station trash.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yes, thank you. I got a lot of an ideal
situation for me either.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I'm sorry you're horrified, but I needed to buy my
credit card. By the way, I got very lucky because
it was nearly empty except for a few things other
than what I threw in there.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
It was like a fresh Your credit card was in
the trash.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
It certainly was not. After I rummaged, I couldn't find
it and I felt my pocket and was like oh,
I was like yeah, But it was more like the
swiftness at which you just went straight to the trash.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
You didn't even look in your car to find like
some sort of plastic covering for your hands.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
There was no time to waste there.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
It was just it was like a lot. I was like, wow,
this this was a lot.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
It was I'm sorry it was a lot for you. Yeah,
it was a lot for me as well. But I
was just glad I found it. At the end of
the day, I got what I needed, which was my
card and gas.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
I also have to extend an apology to you. It's
a very serious apology. I missed something over the weekend
and I'm going to tell you what it is when
we come back. Oh did I do it good?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah? It was good.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
And we're back.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah. I was waiting for a text from you. It's
been three days, three days late.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah. So I had in my calendar October third, three
month anniversary of Becca's engagement. Be like, I had to
count that on my fingers. That's sad. And there's a
lot going on that day and I did not send
my happy three month anniversary text to you and Haley.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
So so this is the beginning at the end, right right, I.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Feel like you miss one. You missed the rest right.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
No friendship, it's going to start to fall. I think
it's all falling apart. I think this is.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
I just meant the text. We're going to stop.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Yeah, so happy three months.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Thank you? Oh she's laughing. Thank you so much, thank
you so much.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
It's did you guys celebrate? Did you wish each other happy.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Three We missed it ourselves.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
No, I know.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
It was a busy day. It was a busy My
head was somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
It's a busy day. And then Saturday, I went to
Las Vegas to go to Rice Festival, which I have
wanted to go to this forever, like I always see
it on social media and ever since I saw Tangled
in the lantern scene, I was like, I can't believe.
What do I have to do to experience that one day?
(15:20):
And then I saw that they do like this lantern
ceremony at Rice Festival in Vegas. I'm like, that feels doable,
but it's just never worked out. And then Jojo and
Saint Sprits were gonna be there and she was like,
would you want to come to this? And I was like,
I've dreamed of coming to this. So it's a three
day festival this is the first year they had music,
(15:40):
So it was the lantern ceremony and then there was
like DJ sets Calvin Harris. So Friday was rufus Dasoul,
Saturday is Calvin Harris, and then Sunday was John Mayer
were the headliners. Friday night looked like desert storm. Yeah,
it was like really intense winds when you're in the
(16:00):
is it mojave Mohave deest hovey?
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Jojo said Mojave And I was like, what, JoJo's from Texas.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
I'm from Louisiana. Mojave desert And so the winds were
like super super intense on Friday, and they had to
cancel the lantern ceremony because they were lighting with fire
like it was literally a hazard. But the winds, like
people were gray from the dust. So I sent her
(16:30):
a video of it and I was like, hey, I'm
just checking in. Am I canceling my trip? And she
was like, no, tomorrow is supposed to be so much better.
So I went and it was an out of body experience.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yeah, it looked crazy.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I can't even explain. It's like there's something about feeling
so small and something so big. Yeah, and like infinite
and like all the land, like twenty thousand people releasing
lanterns at the same time. It was just the coolest
thing ever. Other was perfect and everyone's like, are those
are those bad for the environment? They're all they're one
(17:06):
hundred percent biodegradable. And then they have clean up crewise
picking them up. So when you like.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Enter the festival, do they give everybody lanterns? Say hey, here.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Thing you get like this huge like square like kind
of cushion and then the lantern is it's opens with
the zipper. The lantern is in there. It comes with
the marker for you to write like all your intentions
like what you want to like release or put into
the world. And then and Matt is so you can
like sit down on it in the in the dirt
(17:35):
if you want to. It was so thoughtful and handing that.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Out to twenty thousand people feels like an expense. No,
not expense, feels like a lot of time.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
You do you just when you went through security, you.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Just got it your that's part of the entrance.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, like you get it with your ticket. But it
was amazing. So if you ever had the chance to go,
definitely go. It was really cool, but I will say,
like the festival life, like one day is all I
have in me these days. Yeah, I don't know that
I could surpass one day, and even the one day,
I'm like, my feet's still hurt. Yeah, but yeah it
(18:16):
was amazing.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
You know, the festival life isn't for everybody, is it
for you? No?
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Well, I mean I could do it. I mean you
have to put into perspective. We went to a nearly
four hour Taylor Swift show and danced and stayed on
our feet the whole time, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
So it's like, if you have an artist that you
love and that you're like dying to see, like Cotela,
this year is gonna be like so so.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Different because you have to walk so much more when
you're walking into an arena to see a show. It's
not like you're parking a mile away. And I think
it's differently.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
You could walk to where you're going at a festival
and just PLoP down and stay there, stay put, like
you have.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
That option to the bathrooms. You have to walk to
the other side.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
I'm just saying, yeah, you know, if you really want
to see an artist, which when they announced Coachella, and
it was like Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carper.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Wow, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Gonna be a fun weekend. I don't know that I'll
be there, though, I can't wait to hear about it.
But speaking of music, shall we just jump into it?
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yes we shall?
Speaker 1 (19:19):
The Life of a show Girl has reached our phones,
our hands, our ears, and our eyes.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yes, shall we review? I don't even know where to start.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Let's just start of like your first like, what did
you think about it?
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Were set the scene where you were at nine o'clock
on Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
So I fully listened to this album at any moment,
any spare moment I had over the weekend, and I
lived with three boys, so that was challenging. But I
did it with headphones respectfully. That's nice, thank you. That's
what I thought too. I I'm trying to think of
like my initial reactions. People kept messaging me saying that
(20:00):
they wish that I had recorded myself hearing Wood for
the first time, and I really wish that I had
because my face was like my jaw was on the floor,
like fully just on the floor, Like.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Where were you, who were you with? What were you doing?
Speaker 2 (20:14):
I was at my house, Sophia and Pow came over
and we literally were just watching or sorry, we were
listening to the album and reading the lyrics at the
same time. Oh wow yeah interactive yes, yes, yes, yes, okay,
what about you?
Speaker 1 (20:30):
I was at home with Taylor and Haley. Haley was
reading the lyrics on her phone and we were just listening.
Ah yeah, yeah yeah, but the lyric I do is
a good idea.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yes, you get more out of it, I think.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Okay, yeah, Mark, Where were you?
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Wife Utah with college friends, girls weekend, oldest daughter at college,
youngest daughter and me at the dining room table playing
Sorry the board game? Are you familiar with the board game? Sorry? Yes,
we're big fans. So we were playing that and we
decided that's what we're going to be doing as we
listened to the new album. So we listened to Taylor
on just kind of random shuffle and then nine o'clock boom,
(21:06):
we did the countdown and everything play. There we go.
That's where we were.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Okay. Initial thoughts, Okay, my initial thought, so going into it,
I was expecting very much nineteen eighty nine, so I
think right off the bat was expecting to have like
a style or blank space, and I didn't have one
of those. Like I had moments of like I love this,
Oh my god, I love this, but I didn't have
like I need to hear it to get immediately. So
(21:33):
that was my initial thought.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I think a lot of people had that initial thought.
I think a lot of people thought it was gonna
be like nineteen and nine Part two, when in fact,
to me, it felt more Lover Part two interesting the
Levers one of my favorite Tailor albums. So I was thrilled.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Wait, people thought it was gonna be you were saying
it was a.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Lover I feel like, yeah, yeah, it was like more
Lover vibes.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I don't really, I didn't get lover vibes. Really. I
felt like it was like very new, Like I didn't
feel like it was really reminiscent of anything. You felt
like a new era to me, Mark.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
I don't. I don't know from eras. I just enjoyed
it is that. Yeah, that's fine. You liked it.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
You didn't have a did you have a song?
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:17):
I think Opalite is a smash. I think it's a
great song. I don't know, you know, I think I
can predict hits. But then I'm always wrong lately, so
I think opal Light is a huge song. I think
it's phenomenal. I love the Fate of Ophelia. I love
the title track. I really enjoyed Ruined the Friendship. I
thought that was a beautiful song. I liked a lot
of it. I we just had it on shuffle all
(22:38):
weekend long. It was wonderful.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
I did too, the more I've listened, So the more
I've listened, my initial favorites were Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite and
Isn't It Romantic?
Speaker 3 (22:50):
I like that one too too.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
The more I've listened to it, those are still there.
But I also love Fate of Ophelia. Honey and the
Friendship are like and I also love Father I did
not love Father Figure out.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
I love Father Figure and I love it to me.
I thought the first four were like, yeah, smashing, I
was like boom yes, boom yes, boom yes, boom yes.
My only skip of the entire album is L two.
The only skip me too. I skip it. However, as
of late meeting last night, I found myself going one
(23:27):
to four back to back, and then skipping to Honey
and the Life of a Show Girl straight to a
lot in between that I love, but I ruined the friendship. Yes,
I like ruin the friendship.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
I like Wood actually romantic, I love.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Actually romantic, and I love Canceled. However, I'm really in
a honey into the life of a showgirl mood right now.
Like those two back to back just do something to
my insides. I love them back to back and so
I've just been finding myself since last night doing that,
said back to back and then back to number one again.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
What do you think about wish List?
Speaker 2 (24:04):
I like wish List. It's probably my second least favorite.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
U huh huh. She said that was her favorite. It's
her favorite, which makes sense. It's not like her dreaming
about her life.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah with Travy, Yeah, Travy.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Yeah. I would say, well, what's really killing me right now?
Are the edits? There's fan edits to ruin the friendship,
to like really sad movies, yeah, right now, And that's
going around, so it's affecting me more in a different way. Canceled,
I found was really interesting.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Reputation vibes.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, I feel like Elizabeth Taylor and Canceled have reputation vibes. Yes,
it's so interesting because I feel like she put out
this all these titles knowing we were going to try
and guess what they were about. And they're so not Like,
they're so different than I think what people thought they
were going to be.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I agree, like everybody that ruined the Friendship was going
to be about Blake Live. I got it right. I
thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I don't know if he knew it was high school.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I did not. I did not go that.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
I did go that far.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
I didn't go that deep. But do you know what's
so funny? So I was like, okay, I listened to
the whole album, and because I know Robbie's favorite Taylor
album is Reputation, I was like, I know what his
favorite song is going to be, so I know, right,
So I made him listen to the album top to
bottom so that he could really pick out of the
whole lyrics Christo, no just listening by it, and he
(25:29):
would listen to the full thing. I would like, give
him like a minute and a half taste of each one,
and I'm so convinced he's going to pick Canceled, and
he picked Elizabeth Taylor. Wow Wow, But Canceled was his
number two, so he was close.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah, you had an idea. What did you think about
the line pledge allegiance to your hands?
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I don't think you understand, Like, especially right out the
gate the number one song. I always love track number
one on every Tailor album, Like I know I'm gonna
love track number one I have. It is scientifically shown
for me, number one on every album I love. So
I knew I was gonna love it, but then she says,
I pledge allegiance to your hands.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Come on, yeah, it feels it really felt like a
Tanya album. Yes, Like the whole time I was listening,
I was like, I feel like Tanya is going to
be obsessed with this. We're in the right word because
like someone like me, Wood doesn't really hit much for me,
you know, Oh my god?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
And did you see the theories about how it's like
song number nine and then the song is like something
twenty three and then there's something to do with this
stuff that you do something with the number nine, meaning
like nine sixteen, Like what do you know, like his
Wood is nine? Yeah, that's that's what I'm saying. Yes,
(26:55):
it's all so good. I loved Wood, so, like, where
do you right Wood? If I knew how to write music.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Right, what was your song that you're just like that.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Right, pledging allegiance to the hands, like literally never felt
more seen. And it's like, I don't think there's ever
going to be a lyric to top that.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
In this one that sing all least.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
You could hurt me so bad, everything was seen nothing, just.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Like I actually love that lyrics just.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Like that, like the lyrics, it's just like that everything
turned to nothing, just like.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
If you knew the podcast, that's a song that Tanya
wrote in Miles on the Kiss staff May didn't do
a song.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
I wrote the lyrics just a long time ago though.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Yes, and James blow from Big Time.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
A part time just like just like just like that,
just like.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, I mean I think if Taylor's looking for a
fresh new songwriter, we should center those samples.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Yeah, regular Max Martin over there exactly.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Honestly, I don't even have to do about that lyric,
Like too bad it came out now, because had this
come out six months ago, that might have been our
song instead of Invisible String. I pledge Agents to your hands.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Oh I thought you meant your song.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
I was like, wait, what, no, our wedding song?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
So then Tanya, there's like in the music video for
Fate of Aphelia, Taylor does what I would consider kind
of like a TikTok dance. Yes Choreo wants people to
It feels like she was like, this is going to
be a trend, so let me just jump on it first.
And Tanya sends it to me this morning and asks
if I could teach her, so send well wishes my way.
(29:21):
That could take a while.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
I knew.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
It does. The album has very mixed reviews, though it's
very interesting because it's funny because.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
He would go ahead, well, I was just gonna say, like,
there's a lot of people who are uh, have opinions
about the lyrics and that like that.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
She basically like phoned it in essentially, and they were
expecting like Folklore and Evermore and Torture Poet's Apartment. But
I'm like, we got those albums, Like she just released
those albums. So if you want to go listen to
that type of music, go listen to type music.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Literally, the haters are so annoying.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
And it's gonna happen, Like you knew that was gonna happen.
She could have put done anything and people would have
hated on it. Because there are certain people that have
to do that with something that is so popular.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Well, and it's like sure, in different seasons of life,
you gravitate towards different types of music and lyrics, and
like a sad song feels like the most amazing thing
that you could listen to in a certain time. And
then you turn around and there's songs on this that
feel like this is what I want to listen to.
I'm and to listen to her having a great sex
(30:31):
life and being happy and daydreaming about her future.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I feel like this album is very happy and hopeful,
like she's obviously in a very happy place in her life,
and I to me, it's one of my favorite albums
of hers, and so it just shows me, and I
feel like it shows the world that you don't have
to be this like tortured in pain person to create
art and be successful, Like you can be happy and
(30:54):
hopeful and healthy and still be on top and great,
like I love she did it. First of all, she
did so many interviews. I couldn't even keep up this weekend.
It was like headline after headline after headline, Like I
was like, huh, so much. And she did this interview
and somebody was like asking her, like fans are worried
that after you get married you're gonna like give up
(31:16):
singing or whatever. And she was like, that's such a
shockingly offensive thing to say to someone, Like that's not
why people get married so that they can just like
quit their jobs. Like I love what I do, why
would I stop making music?
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Yeah? I feel like she loves what she does.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Yeah, but there is this thing like when you find love,
then you're just you're just like done well.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
I think because I think music is this thing that
people seek out when they're feeling all their emotions, and
I do think people write. I mean, some of her
best songs, in my opinion, are breakup songs, and I
think when you're when you're so inward and feeling so much,
of course what's gonna come out is going to be
(32:00):
very relatable and sad, and people are going to gravitate
towards those. But I also think I think that being
able to create songs about being in a happy place
is I think she she gets to do whatever she wants.
She Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yeah, somebody messaged me and they called it like a
jetter jelly glitter, jelly pen album, and I was like,
that's exactly what it is. It's the glitter Jelly Pen album.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Yeah, but I just think it's I think it's fun.
Like the opinions of it. It's like, if you're listening,
the thing is, even if you're hating, you're listening. That's
all it is, is another stream.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
For It's really true because in the old days you
have to go buy it. You don't have to do
that now to get full credit for your listening to it.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
You know what. Also, I noticed that was so interesting
about this album when I was like watching it on
the TV, because we like, what did we whatever mirrored
it to the TV. You know, I'm talking about at
the end of every song because we read read the lyrics.
Oh now, oh now they're all on there. The night
that it came out, it said written by and it
(33:04):
was only Taylor Swift. But now it's Shellback and Max
Martin on there. So my bad.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Okay, cool. Thanks.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
So it's a it's one of your favorites, you would say, like,
where do you rink it in your big question?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Yeah, it is one of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Actually, like is it in top three?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Definitely? Top three?
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Yeah, I love this album, like I literally love it and.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Life it's a very Tonia album to.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Me beyond and like Life of a show Girl is like, oh,
it's like the perfect ending. It gives me chills. Also
the storytelling of it, you know, like this is show
business and like being a showgirl and then like kind
of passing the baton to Sabrina, you know, like it's
just ugh. I love this album. I'd say top three.
(33:51):
I don't know how I would.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
What are the top three in no particular in no particular.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Order case a Life of show Girl, the reputation. I
loved that album and Lover?
Speaker 3 (34:08):
What Red does not make the top three? When I
think of Red, I think of.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Your I do I know? Before it before? I think
it'd before Wow, I know because when you throw on
the vault, the vault tracks too. Like that matters as well.
From Lover, although we just have the one, but it's
a good one.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
What is the one?
Speaker 2 (34:26):
The uh? Sam? I think it's to all the girls
I've loved before.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
That one puts it. That one puts it at.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Number one, but three, but all the songs on that album?
But do you have a better top three? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:46):
No, I mean then I don't not for me, Like.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Were there nine vault tracks on Red?
Speaker 2 (34:52):
No, on Red. I'm talking about Lover Lover. I forgot
that you existed. Hello, Amazing, Cruel, Summer, Amazing, Lover Amazing,
the Man Modern Woman theme song, The Archer I could skip.
I think he knows Amazing, Miss Americana and the Heartbreak
(35:12):
Prince iconic. That's how she opened the era's tour. Paper
Rings Come on Cornelia Street. One of the best songs
of all time.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
I agree, it has amazing, five thousand cuts.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Everybody's lived this.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
I think you could do this for every album.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
I think The Archer is pretty good too.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
London Boy skipped too.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Oh my daughter loves London Boy.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
You need to calm down.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Okay, I think we're good.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, yeah, I respect it. I just thought Red would
be up there.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
It's number four.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Okay, we have to take a break. We'll be right back,
and when we get back, I want to talk about
kim Ris Tree.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Stay tuned. All right, So there are some new trends
(36:12):
in the dating world for twenty twenty six. One of
them is kim Riztree.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
What is that supposed to mean?
Speaker 1 (36:20):
It's catching unexpected chemistry with someone you didn't think you'd
be into because they have undeniable charisma. Riz. I love
that ris Tree. So you gotta be.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Somebody who's not your type necessarily, somebody you don't even
think of as attractive necessarily, but they're so charismatic.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
The Riz you fall for them. They have the risks.
I love it, and then they have love louring. Dating
for the plot means saying yes to experiences and singles,
and they're all about it. Thirty seven percent have gone
on a date just to see what happens. But even
though they're not looking.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
For love, I've done that love Lord guilty, she's been loveloring.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Yeah, okay. Curveball crushing. This is connecting with someone outside
their usual type. That kind of sounds like chemrastree curveball crushing,
like you like, have a crush on someone.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
You're like curveball.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
I never thought I'd have a crush on them. True
casting forget the filters and facades and get real. One
in four singles say they show up as their true
authentic self from the very first day, and more are
expected to hop on this trend.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
One in four show up is their true authentic.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
It's not great, so more true casting and status flexing.
According to these dating experts, situationships are out and defining
the relationship is in. I love that now singles are
proudly labeling their status, whether they're casually dating or greeing
to be exclusive or full on boyfriend girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
I mean to YouTube, curveball crushed both of you.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yeah, I definitely curveball crush.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
That was quite a curveball. No one saw that ball coming.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
No, Mine wasn't such a curveball Tonya's was not really.
But also you just like so my type.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah, in those hands, I mean, you can't.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Be the pledge allegiance, allegiance to your hands, your team,
your vibes.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah, okay, we will be back Thursday, and we are
so excited because they have a guest, which I know
those are rare because we're very selective.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah, I mean, you can't just let anyone on scrubbing in.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
No, no, no, no, it's exclusive. But we have Bozima Saint
John coming on the podcast. We're so we've been wanting
to talk to her for a while now.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
We know hers from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She also has a news show with Jimmy Fallon called
on brand. But aside from that, she's just a modern woman,
just a business woman doing the most. So I'm excited
to talk talk to her.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Yeah, I can't wait. So we'll be back Thursday with
her and hope you have a wonderful week. We love
you so much, love you, oh
