Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing in with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Happy Monday, Happy Monday.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
We have the judge from the Tenderfest in our presence,
in her merch her Tender.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
The world's largest chicken tender festival.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Thank you, Yes, a judge from it.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
I know.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
How did we get a judge from the world's largest
chicken tender festival.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
You would think that that would be Easton based on
all of our reputations, but the one and only Tanya
Rizzy rad Yad Hey.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Can you yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Also, first of all, welcome back Easton. We've had a
few weeks missing Easton. He's been, he's in. You have
to know something about Easton. He is in high demand.
They steal him away from us and what we We
have been consistent Monday's at twelve for as long as
I can remember, but they don't years since Yonder.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Since the Yonder years.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
But Easton is in high demand. But he's back.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
It's great to be back. Thank you for having me.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
So.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Tanya, you were judge at Tenderfest.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
I like the hoodie, but I got it because I
don't have any orange for my Showgirl era and it's orange.
This is orange?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Is that orange?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
I think it's very orange.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Yeah, thank you, ma'am.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
It's not red at all.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
This sany also thought it was red this morning. I
could see of blood orange, yes, or redish orange. But
it's very orange.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
It's very orange.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Well that's that's an interesting conversation.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yeah. Is it blue or is it black? Is it
still gold or is it white?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Okay, so this is your Showgirl era purchase? Was a
Tenderfest sweacher?
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
So I think I have a question that probably a
lot of people have had.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Who know you and follow you, know your brand, who
you are, what you like, what you eat? How does
one Tanya rad be called on to be a judge
for such a sacred event.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
My culinary palette? Of course, as one would know as.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Someone I always is talking about fried chicken tenders.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
If you would notice of all my gluten free food suggestions,
you would you take note that I would be called
upon such task.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
No.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
One of my husband Robbie's yeah yeah, best friends. His
name is John Turshan. He throw he like runs the
event and so puts it on He puts it on. Yeakay,
So that's kind of how I was.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
How many has been going on?
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Just four?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yeah, but we've gone every year and the kids love it.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
I scored some some cool like stepm on points by
being a judge this year, so thank you, John, appreciate it.
But it was really really fun.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
So you go and you just try chicken tenders.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yeah, and like it's basically there's tons of like chains
and tons of like chicken tender vendors, but then there's
only four that are up for like the judging, and
they're like these are these world famous chefs that are
like making these like really good chicken tenders. And you
score one to five and then they count all of
our boats and then they crown the winner.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Did you have a strong favorite? Yes?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Is it?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Who won?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Oh wow?
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
There was two people that I like, really enjoyed a
lot of sauces. The chicken to batter ratio was also high.
The juiciness of the chicken was also delicious. H See,
I know what I'm looking for.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
So you got dip, you got dips to dip them in?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Correct?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Who was the winner?
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Tim Hall.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Told?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, he got me when he said he brought rosemary
from his garden. I was like, from your garden and
I give you a six.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
What was your dip of choice or did you dabble another?
Like a few different ones.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
I dabbled in them all. I have no idea what
one of them was. It was covered in sauce, but
it was delicious sauce.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I don't know wh I feel like there's the sauce ruined,
like I feel like the tender, the sauce shouldn't factor into.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
This, you know.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
That's what a lot of people argue. Yes, I'm arguing, yeah,
but some people say that knowing the right way to
sauce up your tender is and believe it or not,
they were all sauce so different.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
But there's all there's marinating sauce. There's like sauce on
the tender itself, but then there's dipping sauce sauce.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
By no, it's all part of the experience in your mouth.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I was.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I watched her content on her stories on Instagram, and
then I it's.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Been a strange.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Amount of time thinking about if they were allowed to
have dips with the tenders. Then it felt like it
would unless they were their homemade dips.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Is that how Yeah, Okay, I think that's a.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Good question because otherwise you're ranking the dips, you're not ranking.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
But if they're able to create a delicious tender with
a delicious dip to a company harmonious, Yeah, yeah, then
that's that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
I have a question. How many tenders did you sample yesterday?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Four?
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Four?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Did four?
Speaker 2 (05:28):
All?
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Four?
Speaker 3 (05:29):
What the best part is?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
I clearly don't know what I'm doing because I'm like,
I'm leaving maybe this much of mine. These tenders were huge.
They were like to size my face.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
They were.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
I was stressed because I'm looking to my right, looking
to my left, Chef Simon to my left. These are
huge chefs and they've eaten like a little bite, like
a bite or two of their tenders, and the seventy
five percent of mine is gone. I was like, so
you're supposed to take but I'm like, the sauce is
different on all sides of it, so I have to
(05:58):
try from every side. And of course, yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I thought you said like a hundred, like I felt
like a judge at a food competition. You did one
hundred different.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Tenders narrow down those?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, so you only got the cream of the crop.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yeah, I did have. I did have a Raisin Caine's
one and a popeye is one though as well.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
All right, what where did those rank on the list?
Speaker 4 (06:17):
They weren't involved in the judges.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
In your own list?
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yes, I actually really enjoyed the Pope's one, no shame. Yeah,
and I like a Raisin Canes. I've always like, I've
told you I really like raisin canes.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know raisin canes. You can go
and this has turned to tender podcast. You can go
to Raisin Knes and get them naked without any batter
on them.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
So if you were are you watching Love Is Blind
season nine?
Speaker 3 (06:46):
No, but I've been here. Okay, here's my thought. Well,
we'll get into that later.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
We'll get into okay, because I want to talk to
you about your weekend because everybody, there's been so much
scuttle in the Facebook group about your weekend. Oh really, yeah,
so much, so much scuttle. There's so many questions, Hey,
what's the quo?
Speaker 3 (07:00):
I haven't even looked at it.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Oh, well I can ask you that.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
But yeah, we went.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
To It started because Caitlyn reached out to a group
of us from season nineteen, Christ's season of The Bachelor,
and she was wanting to do like a TikTok trend,
and so she had reached out like, hey, can you
send me a video? Blah blah blah, and so we
just started talking and the conversation led to should we
(07:26):
do a weekend together? And then it was like should
we all get together in Nashville? And we just all
booked our fights and did it.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Like there was it was a lot of.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Questioning of what was going to happen. It was just like, Okay,
I'm free this weekend. Me too, me too, me too?
Booked fights and we went and Caitlyn was able. We
all were able to stay with her at her house.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
It's her house, massive, it's insane, giant, it's beautiful, wow,
because that was a lot hown one two.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Six of us, six of you.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
And so we all stayed at her house, which was
fun that we were all together, and then she like
planned a whole week. She was like, I booked a
private pilates class in the morning. We went and had
brunch at Restoration Hardware Friday night. When we all got there,
we all dressed as a witch and it was just
the six of us and a few of our friends
that live in Nashville came and said, hey, but she
(08:19):
had like a sushi dinner for like chefs come and
make sushi. She had a bartender making drinks.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
It was so thoughtful and fun.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
And it was so fun because I've seen, like I've
obviously seen Caitlin, I see Ashley at like weddings and
different events, but having us all in the same place,
we haven't been in the same place since the show,
so like literally eleven years since we were all together,
and it was just so fun to sit together and
everyone in such a different place of life. Obviously there's
(08:48):
marriages and kids and engagements and I'm with a woman now,
you know. It's like there's all these changes that have happened.
But it was just so wholesome and like cozy and sweet.
It was lovely.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Okay, did you share a room with somebody?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
No?
Speaker 4 (09:01):
No, you had your own room. Yeah, excuse me, miss Bristo.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah, we all had our own room. Whitney stayed with
Caitlin in her room.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Are they best friends?
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:12):
I feel like they are the closest.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I mean, I feel like we've all Yeah, probably the
closest in terms of like seeing each other and like talking,
I would assume yeah, but yeah, so they stay together
and then the rest of us in our own room.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
I need to like catch us up on every girl girl, Carol,
I know what's going on with Ashley.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah, so act Ashley is married to Jared's two of
the cutest kids I've.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Ever seen in my life. I'm like obsessed with her children.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Jade is married and she has three kids, and they
live in I think Kansas City is where they live now.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Big cheese fan, Huh, yeah, they are, Well.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
He's from there.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
If you don't know, they got married, they got engaged
on Paradise and then married. And then Whitney is married
with two kids, and she lives in Chicago and she
just opened her own fertility clinic.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
In Chicago. And then Carly is she lives in Nashville
as well. She has two kids.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
She recently just announced she she was engaged and they
just broke it off.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
But wasn't she married to somebody from Paradise.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
She was Evan, That's who her. She had two kids
with him and then.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
They split up years ago that but everyone just was
like thriving and seems.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
So it was just it was like really good for
the soul. I loved pilates. I've only done pilates.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
I've only done a type of pilates called lagree and
it was so hard that I hated it. And I
was like, I don't think I can ever do this
again because it was so hard that I didn't even
feel like I was working out.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Anything. Yeah. So I loved plates.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
But I am barely slept last night because I'm so
sore with every movement.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
I just love how I've been trying to get you
to do pilates with me for like two years now,
and Caitlin Bristow says, jump and you said how high?
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I didn't though.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
She was trying to do a workout with a personal trainer,
and I was like, I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
I don't know if I want to do that.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Yeah, and she said, we'll do pilates. It's kind of
like choose your own adventure. You can go as harder
as easy as you want. But I never felt like
I had a choice to go easier. But I guess
there were springs.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
That I can't address. Yeah, So but I was able
to get through it.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Without much struggle, so I felt pretty accomplished. But I
did get the shakes, so that was tough. But I
would be so happy to do pilates with you. So fun,
so fun. And then Saturday we went and made I
made a hat at like a Nashville one of these
like places where you can make your custom hat. And
it was just so fun and girly, and everyone you know,
(11:57):
was just browsing doing their thing.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
And then you all driving one car. Did you all
fit in one car? Does Caitlyn have a big car?
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Yeah? She had, well, so Carly It's car.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
It was Carly's fortieth birthday weekend and so her family
was in town. So she was amazing because she was
like splitting time with us and her family. That was,
but so she wasn't with us for like the pilates thing,
and then she would like come and meet us. So
Caitlyn had enough room for five of us, ah see,
and so we would We just went around and then
(12:29):
we went and had drinks before dinner and went to
this amazing spot for dinner that she was able to
get us into and it was just so fun at
the best time. Yeah, it was, it was. I got
home and Hailey's like, oh, are you exhausted? I was like,
I mean, I'm just traveling. I feel tired, but like
my I feel very like lifted. Yeah whoa, Yeah, I
was one of those trips. I didn't feel like drained
(12:50):
or anything. Like we just showed up. Caitlyn took care
of everything so nice, and everyone was just so willing
like we all just shared caught up. It was just
a cup filler.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Who do you miss the most? Like who did you
love catching up with the most?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I mean I really genuinely felt like it was I
haven't seen Carly and Jaden so long, but I haven't
seen Whitney.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Whitney and I were like so close coming off the
show because she was in LA for a little bit
while Chris was doing Dance with the Stars and so
I it was really good to be around her and
like laugh and have like like good happy conversation catching up.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Did you guys FaceTime Chris souls at all?
Speaker 3 (13:32):
No?
Speaker 6 (13:33):
No, no, like hey bro, no no no, no.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
No videos said to him, no, no wow, nothing nice.
I like that.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Actually yeah it was not about him. Yeah that's right.
So yeah, I was elf.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
I said I would be alpha ba for the witches
thing because I didn't.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
I already had all the stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I had the green paint, and I thought, I've done
this a few times already, so like it'll be easy
to pack and I won't have to like think about
something else. But dang, putting that green paint on and
trying to feel cute, like everyone looked cute and I
was just look.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
In my green paint. That was tough.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Yeah, I'm trying to get Robbie to do that for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
So Jade and Tanner did.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
They all dress up as Wizard of Oz characters and
Tanner was Alphabet and it's so funny.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
So I feel like Robbie should.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Do that, you think. So he was not so keen
on the face paint as well.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
I have some good stuff you can borrow it. I
have a whole thing.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Okay, great, But yeah, it was a wonderful weekend. What
were the scuttle in the Facebook group about it?
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Just like those questions? Let me see if they had
any other questions that I did not answer. But why
don't we take a break and then I'll come back
with that.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Oh great tease?
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Thank you? Well? Seems like the Chicken Tenders still got
(15:10):
me drunk because I could not find the scuttle break.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
That she teased does not exist on the Facebook group.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
I know I saw somebody post something this morning because
I saw it and I was like, ah, yes, I.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Remember just plowing this up. That looks so fun. What
they drink the scuttle? But yeah, it was a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
I hope you know, Oh my life and yours too
is about to change.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Because the artist way, did you get it? I've had it?
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Oh right, that's right. So Bose as we like to
call her.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
First of all, before we get into the artist way,
I just have to say we obviously every now and
then have guests that we speak to and they're all like, wonderful.
We always have good conversations. But I went home after
our conversation with Bosma and I was like telling Haley
about the podcast and what she said. And I can
say I rarely do that when like coming home from
(16:06):
the podcast, but yeah, I mean sorry, but like it's
stuff that I probably already talked to about her with her,
if you do something funny or someone does something funny.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
I do a full debrief every Monday.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Anyways, I was so just I don't inspired.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
I don't even know what the right word was. Conversation
with her.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, So if you haven't listened to that episode, if
you're like one of those people who's like, oh I
skip guest episodes, don't skip this one.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
That's what I do. Yeah, as a podcast listener.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Well, I'm trying to say, don't do that.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
Yeah. So she suggested we read this book, The Artist Way.
So I downloaded it, downloaded it, ordered it on Amazon
that day and I received it and Becca said she
would do it with me. So today's the day that
we start. Are you ready to start today?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Well, you're, oh, because you're supposed to do morning pages.
So I feel like tomorrow we should start because you're
supposed to do in like it's supposed to be the
first thing you do, Like there's some there's a purpose
for it being the first thing you do in the morning.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Well that's going to be a pickle for me tomorrow.
But sure, sure we can start tomorrow. But so between
The Artist's Way and my Weighted Vest, I'm going to
be a new woman and come twe twenty six.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
You just wait, I don't know anything about the Weighted Vest.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
I'm going to start wearing one now.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Just in life?
Speaker 4 (17:25):
Yeah, why why stop on my walks? Why not wear
it everywhere?
Speaker 5 (17:29):
So?
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Do you have what on under your shirt?
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Unfortunately I do not, But this would have been a
great sweatshirt to wear underneath.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, but if you did like wearing it to work? Yes,
if you're just gonna sit here for three hours, four hours,
five hours, why wear it because you walk to the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
No, But to be honest, I think this could be
bad because what if you you just you'd have to
be so locked in to your core and your posture. Yeah,
you'd have to be like sitting up the whole time.
That's right, And if you.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Did this, it would probably call scolios or something. Think
about it. If you're like this and then you had
added how much is it? Twelve pounds? How do I
know that?
Speaker 4 (18:07):
How did you know that?
Speaker 2 (18:08):
I see everyone ordering their twelve pounds weighted best really
tick talk and Instagram?
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Yes, Oh I thought that was so revolutionary.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
No, no, but I'm proud of you either way.
Speaker 7 (18:21):
It's a cool look, like remember when fifty used to
wear the bulletproof vest everywhere?
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I thought that was so cood.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
It adds some, It.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Adds some grit, some grit, my judging of the tenderfest
and my weighted best like swag poppin Yeah, pop spicy.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Okay, so yeah, artist way and you're weighted best. We
are I.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Saw the Woman in twenty twenty six nonstoppable like the
c song.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Taylor Swift announced she had another announcement this morning on GMA.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Do you know how many people have been coming at
me and my dms about this Taylor album? I'm like,
I cannot get into another fight with somebody about this album.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Why are you fighting with people?
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Because people are saying it's bad, and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Why do they feel they need to reach out to
you who love it?
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Yeah? Well, you know it doesn't start off nasty. It's like,
I'm so happy for you that you got your jel
Pen glitter album, but I'm more of a tortured poets girl. Yeah, well,
I have to like send out my dissertation of why
this album is so amazing?
Speaker 1 (19:34):
So you're escalating this?
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Oh yeah, Like how more poetic of a way to
start out an album than the Fate of Ophelia, where
she's talking about her now fiance saving her from this
like doomed fate that she was living into this Elizabeth
Taylor and you know, like I have this and I
did some more digging on Elizabeth Taylor so I could
really speak to that song. I mean, I'm just tired
over here as a swiftie. I think you can I
(19:57):
need a little break, take off your.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Weighted best and shut it down, because I don't think
you have to go so hard for it.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
I'm going hard.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
But the thing about the.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Album, music in general, it's it's a it's subjective, yeah,
not objective.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Subjective.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Objective would be like this sweatshirt is orange.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Don't you are so rage bait? You are really walking
rage baits?
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yeah, But music is so subjective, and I think it's
so it's such a personal thing of what you connect
to and you connect to. I think anyone can listen
to this album and if they know you and know
who you are, they're like, I know, Tanya's this.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
You know.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
I've always had this issue with critics. Now art, all
art is subjective. Yeah, but I get movie critics, I
get the quality and not quality. I get TV critics.
I've never understood music critics and food critics because I
feel like when it comes to music and food you
like what you like.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
It's hard being a food critics, so I mean I
can speak to that it is top mark because our
palettes are all Because.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Like I don't like Cilantro, so I go to a
place in Cilantro. I want to give it a bad
review when I'm sure it's excellent food. You know, like
everyone's different, yes, and music, some people like, you know,
artsy stuff, and some people like Barbie Girl by Aqua
and that's okay. Everyone like what you like Barbie Girl.
Objective critics didn't love it.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Objectively and respectfully. I feel like that's a crowd pleasing.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
The critics did not enjoy Aqua.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
It is interesting.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
That's interesting you bring up Cilantro because I will go
to someone will be like, this place has the best
salsa and all I taste of Cilantro, but they love Cilantro.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
I think it's the best.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
The life of food critic. That could be my next memoir.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Or your next song title. What if this.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
Becomes like my new hobby food critics. Yeah, I would
love that. For I thought about dabbling in when I
was going like hard when I started my Hashimotos journey
and I went hard on my gluten free, and I
was like, there's not a ton of information out there
of like restaurants and like different yummy places that you
can eat that are gluten free. And I had this
like alter thought to become like a gluten free food critic. Girlly,
(22:17):
it's tough. I don't know if that life's cut out
for me, but I might try again.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
This could have ignited I think the hardest way could
open the pathway for that.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
It could.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Shonda Rhymes was on call her Daddy. Yes, Okay.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
I don't know if anyone else feels this in the
room or listening, but every time I think of Shonda Rhymes,
I imagine her having this like stone cold persona where
she's like really intimidating and like doesn't feed into like
the fandom and the excitement of the storylines. But when
(22:57):
I seen these clips, I didn't listen to the whole thing.
But I seen when I've seen the clips of her,
don't call her daddy.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
What did I say when I see these When I've
seen these clips.
Speaker 6 (23:09):
When I've seen the clips, that's right, right, Yeah, when
I've seen she's so giggly, giggly, it reminds me of
She wrote a show from a place of being just
like wanting to create these love stories and like the drama,
and it came from a place of like me wanting
to write fan fiction or something, you know, like you
(23:30):
wanting to write fan fiction about falling in love at
the Tenderfest.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
You know two judges.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
By the way, if you're listening in your single, food
festivals are the place to go. I'm just gonna throw
that out there.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
No one, I don't know many.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
There, Yeah, tons, so tender at Tenderfest. Tender the dating appenders.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
In Yeah, honestly tder.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
It made me think, like when I was single, I
never thought to go to a food festival and like
there's a whole well there and embarrassment of riches.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Did these men have rings on?
Speaker 4 (24:14):
I could not tell, but I might say no, oh wow, okay.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
So Shonda Alex asked all the questions that we would ask,
you know.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yea such as well like who.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
She said, if she could switch lives with any character,
she would choose choose Christina Yang. And then she said
Owen or Burke and she said neither, which is what
pretty much happened with Christina.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
And then Sandra Oh originally auditioned for Bailey, which I
could see to an extent with no way, I'm saying,
without knowing Bailey or Christina, I could see Sandra Oh
playing the Bailey ca character.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Like really, well, she's so Christina.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
And then she saw Ellen Pompeo and Moonlight Mile, which
I feel like I've seen that before.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
But I can't.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
I'm like having Light Mile.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
It was I think Jake Jillenhall is Oh movie.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
And she was like, I want someone like that girl
from Moonlight Mile, and they were like, you might be
able to get her, and so that's how she got
Ellen Pompeo correct.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Two thousand and two romantic drama Jake jillen Hall, Duftin Hoffman,
Susan Sarandon, Holly Hunter, and Ellen Pompeo in a supporting role.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
And then she said her hardest death I saw this
Dinney Duquette.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Then why'd you do it?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Why did you do it?
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Shonda?
Speaker 2 (25:43):
She said, I went back to the writer's room and
cried for an hour, and then she said about.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
She could have like she held the keys.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
And then she said she she joked about the ghost
moments from Denney and said I was just grieving, like she.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Was having her own decision to kill him, like she
had the choice. Yeah, you know, it's like ordering a burger.
You want ketch up or mustard or both. She did,
she said, neither.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Kill it. What's happening? What are we doing? Kill it?
Kill it, kill the burger.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
You know, like she could have changed Anny's fate. She
could have like I had a miraculous thing and is
he could have married him. I mean that he could
have had a long stint on Gray's Anatomy and Shanda
killed him off.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I know, but it was so memorable.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Maybe he wouldn't have been a memorable Maybe he would
have like ended up cheating or doing something.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
That we hated him for that chance.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Our friend Brittany, who's watching the show for the first time,
she just experienced double O seven moment when George.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Spoiler alert spoiler alert, when George.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Died and and you don't know, he just was a
guy that got hit by a button and then he
runs on Mary's hand.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Double O seven dark, so dark classic.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
We haven't talked about the season premiere of Gray's Anatomy.
Am I the only one who's seen it?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Or you're the only one?
Speaker 1 (27:07):
But when I was so excited to talk about it.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
I've seen clips that I know what happened, so I'm
down to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
I know somebody dies, yeah, somebody else bummed.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
We'll get to that perfect death. Why, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Okay, well we're gonna get to that in a minute
because I'm upset about it. Yeah, but basically, she I
just it made me feel like she is just a
fan who were like her, like just creative thoughts and
made it into a story like a doctor show of
doctors falling in love and drama love it.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Maybe we could have her.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
It made me feel like her, not that we could
get her. We could have a great conversation with her.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Definitely. She's a giddy girly.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
She's a giddy girly. Okay, so you didn't like spoiler alert?
This is actually a like what's.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
It called real real time?
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Oh yeah, it's happening now, So it is a spoiler.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
It's fresh, it's a fresh spoiler.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Why was that a perfect Okay?
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Well, there's so much I loved about it, But I
guess I shouldn't get any details because there'd be a
lot of spoilers.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
No, get into it. I'm fine with it.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
I don't want to be spoiled, you know, I'm kidding.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
The scene where Link but he dies, The scene where
Link kind of says goodbye to Joe was phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Did Link di know?
Speaker 1 (28:37):
But but he's fading. He's not doing well and Joe's
on the phone and he called it to say I'm
doing well. But then as he says to face, like
get a dog to protect my girls, and he says
to Fage, You're like, wait, what what? Hello? Hello, Hello
the phone? What's happening? It was awesome?
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Where's Link? Why is he nearly dead?
Speaker 1 (28:56):
This is why this is I'm gonna start my own podcast.
It's gonna be a rewatch.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
I'm sorry. I had to pack and then I left
it all week Busy Lives. I don't know when did
you watch?
Speaker 4 (29:08):
Yes, we all have busy lives.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
There's no point in doing this if you haven't seen it,
is what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
I want to talk about it because I want to
be spoiled.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
There was a huge explosion.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
I knew that that happened last season.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
He was close enough to it to be very affected
by it. Oh okay, yeah, and he was not doing well. Okay,
he had sub linguinal injuries or something like that under
his collarbone.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
It was bad, okay. But the doctor that died was
she doctor Beltran.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Well, she was crushed by a piece of equipment that
fell on her and she was talking Millan how to
keep this young boy alive.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
To do the surgery about herself? Yes, and then she died.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
And then Beltren died, and it was really nice. It
was a really good death. It was. And the reason
I say that it's a good character to die is
because it's a newer character. We're not that emotionally attached
to her. It's fine. I bet what really happened That
actor got another job and she's going to do a
different show, like you know. It just felt like, yeah,
if you're gonna kill off a doctor, that's a good one.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Which she has not watched nearly nearly even close around
Doctor Beltram.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
The last episode I watched which I really enjoyed was
when Joe and the other guy were in the shooting
in the convenience Communist. But then it like stopped for
three months on that cliffhanger, and then I never got
back in. So what happened on the what happened in
the what.
Speaker 7 (30:24):
Was it caused the explosion?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Well this, well, a mom had brought a gas tank
an oxygen was it oxygen or like something.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
That was oxygen, and she was like, I will.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Release this and blow up this if y'all don't basically
do the surgery that my son needs. Even though they
were saying like this is this could kill him, she brought.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
It has gotten and they refused and she blows it up.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
No, they didn't refuse. They find out that the tank
was they it was. It was open, but it was
empty or something didn't.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
I thought it was empty. But the reason it was
empty is because it had basically emptied itself out into
that room and so it was easy to ignite.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Wow, Yeah, it's really good. I also really enjoyed the
new intern who was injured in the blast and got
to be worked done by the Meredith Gray. That was
a great little plot line. And I like, uh, well
there's a whole bunch of them. Yes, well some of
them you've met before, because somebody slept with one of them.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Oh yeah, that's right. He was at the kick cutting,
which lovely. Uh you want to know him, It doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
It's not as much fun as I was hoping it
would be. But I really really thought that was a
very strong season premiere.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
I'm very excited about it, even with being spoiled.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Are you still going to watch it even though it's spoiled? Yeah, yeah, No,
that's really good. The new intern part is really good.
I enjoyed that.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
I'm excited. You gotta ease back into it.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
I'm gonna do what I want to do.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
If it doesn't have love in the title, she's not watching.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Let me tell you that's so true. Let me tell you.
This weekend, all I did was binge Love Island Games
and Love is Blind Season nine, those two shows. I'm
caught up on Love is Blind season nine and I
finished Love Island Games. And let me tell you, fantastic programming.
To all the producers out there that produce these shows,
(32:27):
excellent casting. You are just amazing human beings, top notch content.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Tell me about Love is Blind, because this has been
a very controversial season. It is so bad, but I
want to talk about it.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
But why it's bad and why it's good After the break,
(33:07):
all right, we are back. So I've heard a lot
of controversy about Love is Blind season nine because people
are just saying the cast is like unhinged.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
That's literally what it is. They are unhinged. It is okay,
you know when they're dating in the pods, to me,
that's like the best content and the first look when
they see each other, the first look is the best,
the best these pods and this first look is just
like jaw on the floor, like my jaw was on
the floor of the first few episodes. But there's actually
(33:40):
one couple that I'm obsessed with that I think are
like a really good couple. The rest of them is
just total like Mayhem and Madness. They did an excellent
job casting this season. And there's a guy that shared
his like you know, they like live with each other,
his morning smoothie with like his fiance. He blends up
(34:04):
chicken breast cooked boiled I'm assuming it's boiled cooked chicken
breast with water and crystal a crystal light packet. He
blends it up in the blunder and drinks it. That's
his that's his morning smoothie. I was like, I would
literally divorce someone for that.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Is that what makes the season controversial?
Speaker 4 (34:22):
No, no, no, no, But that was like the most
disturbing scene of them.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
The chicken tenders would have been blended as a drink
for you this weekend pop culture though, probably why does he.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Just eat the chicken breast for breakfast? Like, why don't
you just blend it up with a crystal light packet.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
A crystal light packet adds an element of like darkness
to it.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
It's kind of sinister.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
It's like my dad did. Did he just crack bodybuilder? Yes?
Speaker 7 (34:52):
See, you we do crystal light creating powder and then
just like cracked two raw eggs in there, and I
thought he was It was insane, but it's a great
way to get protein.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Is this guy like a bodybuilder type? I guess, I mean,
does he look like he's nice?
Speaker 5 (35:07):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I saw I heard that there were
some homophobic undertones to one of the guys talking about
like asking his partner about having.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Gay kids, or like if his kids are gay or something,
which one I don't know.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
I think I missed that out.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
I didn't see any of that.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
You could probably show me a photo of the.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Cast and I could probably tell you.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
Yeah, wait, let me just see if I think it's
who this is?
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Who it is.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
I don't know what he looks like for all though.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Oh shoot, and then there was a guy that like
went through he was in foster care, and they were
saying like he shouldn't like it's like he shouldn't like
they most reality shows they do really extensive testing and
like background checks, so they know like kind of what
how much you can handle. And being on a reality show,
especially on Netflix, to me is like prime time prime
(35:58):
Like there's so much any opinions and evaluations probably that
go into it. And so I've heard people say like
he should not have been cast on the show, and
like he and the girl he chose like fully have
trauma bonded.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Yeah, but there are some scenes that are hard to
watch of him because you're just like what is happening? Yeah,
So yeah, it's a little hard.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
To watch, but it's good. It is great tv.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
It is great TV. So the last three episodes they
only air them on Wednesdays, So this Wednesday is one.
There's three left. I don't know how they if they
didn't want a week or maybe the next one's too,
But I am chomping at the bit waiting for the night. Yeah,
like it's really good.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Oh oh okay, Well maybe I'll tune in I might
someone else told me to watch, so you're not the
only person. Yeah, but I just I was seeing like
not good things about it, so I wasn't really like,
oh that's how I want to spend my time.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
If it's a love show or a competition show, sign
me up. And when it's a love competition show, it's
like like Love Island Games was like everything I wanted
it more like I was like, give me more.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Okay, this is a PGE podcast.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Okay, should we do There's a few like past Banya
updates and quest.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
She also wanted to play that we haven't done in
a really long time.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Mark.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Yes, the birthday Game.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Oh I love the birthday Game?
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Can we play it a little bit?
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Absolutely sure? You want to end the episode?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Are you guys ready to play the birthday Game?
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Okay, let's see let's find some good birthdays going on today.
Oh look at this Kate Walsh, Kate Walsh from Graves
Anatomy starting Addison Montgomery, Montgomery, Thank you you are. How
old is Kate Walsh?
Speaker 4 (37:52):

Tilly Actually it's just turning fifty not fifty eight today.
Speaker 3 (38:07):

(38:31):

forty seven years old. Becca gets to win our apologies
to mister Raymond. I think I was.
Speaker 2 (38:41):

by Kate Wall, so I just went hire on my

Tanya may have an advantage here from the classic musical
Synergy Club. It is John Mayer's birthday on Thursday. How
old is John mayor an Tanya, you go first on
this one?
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Forty five?
Speaker 1 (39:45):
He's forty five. He is not Becca.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Oh shoot, I'm gonna say he's forty seven.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Forty seven and Easton, I think he's fifty one. He
is turning forty eight. That's another went for Becca. She
is running away with this game.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Damn. It's a whole centergy club.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Okay, his age, his lyrics, and his musical ability.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
All right, well here's a great one. Everybody from Gray's Anatomy.
Her name is Katerina Scorsoni. Katerina Scorsoni, doctor Amelia Shephard
turning what age? Becca?
Speaker 2 (40:26):
I would say that she is turning forty five?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Okay, we're going to go to Easton.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Now.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
I mean you have to google without it.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Oh, you can get her age.
Speaker 7 (40:39):
That's the whole I just want to see what she
looked like. I wasn't googling anything. I was writing something else.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
I forgot.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
We're playing the game.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
She's forty seven.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Okay, forty six.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
What did you say? Forty five?
Speaker 5 (40:54):
Five?
Speaker 1 (40:54):
Yeah, she's forty four.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
That's gonna go forty four scoring.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Becca has four, Tiny has one. Easton has nothing. Also,
Thursday is eminem Eminam's birthday. Easton? How old's he turning?
Fifty three? That's right, you're on the board. We're gonna
keep clicking right along. A couple more days left in
this week? October eighteenth, Oh zach Efron, Tanya hold is
(41:19):
zach Efron.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
Zac Efron is turning thirty nine?
Speaker 1 (41:22):
He is not Becca.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
He's turning thirty eight?
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yes, yes, Lego so close Easton? How old is Neo
turning this week? Good old Neo, We love us some Neo.
Speaker 7 (41:36):

Speaker 1 (41:38):
He is fifty two? Fifty two years old?
Speaker 4 (41:43):
Tanya, he's forty nine, forty nine, beca she he's got.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
A only that's my love? What'd you guess?
Speaker 1 (41:56):
Fifty one?
Speaker 2 (41:56):
And you guess forty nine? I'm gonna go, oh, forty six?
Speaker 3 (42:03):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Sure is wow? And I don't see any point continuing
this game. Becca has six Tanya and Ethan tie for one.
Tanya wanted to play that game, I guess just to
boost because she always wins that game.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
I still like it, I like it regardless.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
Yeah, I just like playing the game, you know, very
