Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. We're here today to
break down a big announcement in Bachelor Nation. The Golden
Bachelor cast has been revealed. I have an incredible co
host with me today, specifically chosen not only because of
her talents and her wonder and awe, but also because
of her experience on The Golden Bachelor. Susan Knowles is

(00:27):
co hosting with me today.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Hello Susan, Hello dal how are you hey? Everybody? Thanks
for listening. I'm so excited to chat about this.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Susan, are not going to be easy on you, because
here's I thought about prepping for this. Here's what I want. Okay,
if you listen to the Almost Famous podcast for any
period of time, you would know that I am a
massive fan of the Golden series. Like a massive fan.

(00:56):
I think it is the best decision The Bachelor has
made in years. I was a massive fan of your season,
of the women that came off of your season, then
entering into Jones season and meeting some of the guys
from that season. I just think it's such a heart warming, genuine,

(01:17):
authentic experience to try to find love and then also
teach us as I guess we're calling us young'ins, teach
us so many things.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I agree. I agree, and we are real at this age.
You know, we don't have to try to be somebody.
That's the best part of the Goldens.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I think, well, we're gonna have to convince some people
to watch this season. I think because of who they
chose as their bachelor, mel Owens was chosen as the
Golden Bachelor. I have a theory, Susan, that if I
was in charge of the Bachelor franchise, I would have
gone away from the attractive Golden back to maybe gone

(02:01):
as far as like, Hey, I'm finding my eighty year
old dude who is just wanting love so bad and
is wearing eighty come on, seventy five, seventy he's wearing overalls,
he's wearing suspenders. This guy's meeting at McDonald's in the
morning for breakfast with his friends.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
There's another show out there. I think it's some country
one in the woods or something.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I just would have I don't want the Golden to
turn into what the Bachelor ended up doing, which is
where everybody would go on to become influencers, and everybody
was just so attractive that they weren't relatable. And Mel
obviously came out publicly. He was scrutinized for I haven't
met him. I'm not going to. I don't. I'm not

(02:47):
holding any judgment towards him as a person until we
get to talk to him. But he is a very
attractive man who said publicly, so I can only take
his words that he was going to date younger women.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Sometimes regret things we say. I've been trust me one
hundred times in my life at least that I've said
things and that's not how I meant it. And I'm
really hoping I have met Mel. And one of the
things I said to him when I said welcome to
the family and he said thank you, thank you. When

(03:19):
he looked really good and he had his shades on,
and I said, would you like? He said, do you
have any advice for me? I said, I do. First things. First,
take the shades off. I'm going to look in your eyes.
It was a whole different feeling for me, and what
I said was be true to yourself, don't get caught
up in the show or what some producers are trying

(03:40):
to tell you like this one, you don't really stay
true to yourself because this can work, but you have
to be real.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
So am I getting on board with this season? You
are a wise counsel, a trusted counsel. You have met
this guy, I don't know anything about him. We're going
to break down the cast members today here in just
a second, we're going to fly through the list of
incredible cast members that he has joining him on his experience.

(04:09):
But Susan for the listeners and for me, who's now
a skeptic of the thing that I was most supportive of.
Am I getting as a friend? Would you tell me
let's get behind this season.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
You have to, you absolutely have to. You have to
give him room to redeem himself. If you will, I'm
almost certain he'll apologize and he'll share why he said
what he said. Hopefully he was kidding. I mean, we
all know that it's a known fact in the world
that older men like younger women. I mean, that's just

(04:42):
something that's written. Look at me, I'm an older woman
with a younger man. So both ways we can all
do it. But let's give him some grace and let's see.
I wish him a lot of luck because I looked
at these women who to me, because we we were
the first, I think we were a group that was

(05:04):
so different, h and every one of us, you know
what I mean. Now that people actually saw the show,
and those that are going to be on the next one,
on mel season, I hope they're there for all the
right reasons too, because once the show is out, then
you catch on, you know what I mean, who's doing
this now and not now? And go for the right reasons.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Let's see what you think of the cast members today.
Again we just mentioned Jesse Palmer will be the host.
Mel Owens is your Golden Bachelor. We have Susan with
us today, one of the cast members from the previous
season who has continued to light up our lives in
the best of ways. We're going to start with this Susan.
I'm going to read their name and where they're from. Okay,

(05:47):
you give any other thoughts, kind of give the color
commentary if that works.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Okay, Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
We got Alexandra from Miami, Florida. She's sixty seven. I
will give the age as well, because I guess that's
important here.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, and she's sexy and she loves Bob Marley. I
think she's going to be a fire. That one.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
We got Amy. You can go on ABC dot com
to follow along with the pictures and kind of the bios.
We got Amy from Shorthills, New Jersey. She is sixty
three years old.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Amy reminds me, from what I've read of me, a
little bit like I love when she says she has
a built in bullshit detector. She's bold and bubbly, and
she used one of my lines, I feel like a
kid in a candy store. So I think I'm gonna
like Amy, And.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I feel like at this age you do have like
that's just a skill set you have, it's built in
who we are. You've seen too much, You've done too much.
The next one is somebody I'm confused by. She should
not be human. She is not from this world. There's
zero chance this person actually exists. We got Andra from

(07:02):
Los Angeles, California. She's seventy seven years old. And if
I saw on the street, I would say, you're forty
maybe No way?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Does she look seventy not even seventy seven? And isn't
she related to someone?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Is that true? Who?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
She's a twin? Actually?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Someone that was on our show. I believe if I'm
not mistaken, it's Sandra's sister.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
No way, way that is true.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
And look at Sandra. She don't look like she's seventy
five or seventies.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Who are their parents? Goodness, gracious, you're right. I'm looking
at that now. She's one to look out for. She's
going to rock his world if he ever thought he
was going to date younger, because that's what's better.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
No, she's got her together.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yeah. Next we have Carla from Los Angeles, California. She
is sixty two years old.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
She likes Safari. She's going to be a lot. Why
are right?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I think so? I mean she I think from the
video that we watched too of these women, they just
seem confident. And I do think the note there is
that you open up the door. You're the season that
you were on, open up the door for these women
to walk into it without kind of the hesitation of
what is this thing? They know what they're getting into?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yes, yes, And you know what I loved how they
showed them in all colors. It was bright, it was cheery.
Everybody had their own color. When we were all you know,
very formal, very dark, we all had black and sophisticated,
and that our true personalities came out. But this is
showing personality right off the gain.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I also want to comment on the video that we watched.
I'm just amazed at these women. They are gorgeous, like
they they are stunning, incredible careers. Really. You know, we'll
keep adding some notes that we saw through the video,
and I want to hear your thoughts and opinions too,
But just an incredible cast of people and I'm really

(09:03):
I am excited to watch them. Up next to you
have Carol from Villa Park, California. She is sixty three years.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Old and plays a tambourine. Baby.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
She's also the family manager for Baseball All Star Freddie Freeman.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Right, and loves bad money.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Goodness, gracious, what are we doing? This is amazing.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
No, I can't wait to really know them.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
You know, we got Cheryl, sixty six years old from Inglewood, Colorado,
right out here where I'm at. Okay, she is really
fun of fact. Yeah, but she has fifty motocross trophy.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Can you imagine? So you know, I used to own
a motorcycle when I was fifty. Yeah, I was out
in Spain, rant at something and came back and got
my license with that. That's I admire that. I can't
wait to get to know her as well.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I hope they have some like video footage I want.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
To see here or one of their dates.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, just running off and see if he really can't
keep up with somebody sixty six years old, he might
be a little scared. Next, we got Cindy from Austin, Texas.
She is sixty years old.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
She dated Chuck Norris. She went on a date with
Chuck Norris. I love this and wait, so a couple
of them are from Texas. We got a lot of
Textans here.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
We do have a lot of Texans. Yeah, and so far,
Cindy is sixty years old. Is our youngest that we've mentioned.
There's obviously somebody a little younger, but about the age range.
Her grandfather lived to be one hundred and five years old.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Know, God, can I just say to me going on
my show? When I was on, I thought, being golden
if you will, everybody had to be sixty five.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
That threw me when I looked and saw Joan and
this one and that one has to wait a minute.
You have to have social security before you can.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Be cold I think it's a very I think it's
a fair statement.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
It is now I'm looking at sixty Cindy.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
But we do have a sixty five year old in Debbie.
Debbie is from Denver, Colorado. She is from where I'm at.
I'm really loving about these fun facts because we're seeing
you know, obviously when you're sixty five years old, you've
had a lot of fun facts, but also some of
the celebrities they may have dated.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
The Robert Denaro, thank you very much. But she's got
a fear of heights, so I hope she don't have
to jump off of the bungee jump or anything, or
climb the wall like Leslie climbed down the Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
You don't tell the show what you're scared of. I
don't do it. Keep it to yourself. If you're scared,
put that last say the things that you're not scared of,
because you know she's going to be freaking out.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
How about her smile in her eyes? She's really pretty.
For some reason, I have a thing like maybe she'll
go far.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, just a guess to guess a lot of confidence
in it.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
At least get a date. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Diane is up next from Wasscilla, Alaska. I have no
clue where that's at. She's seventy one.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Years old and she wants to be Dolly Parton. I
love it the things you write down.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
In this life. She's done three.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Triathle triathlongs how about it? And these people are in shape.
He's an ex football player, so you know these girls
are standing up for themselves. There's another one coming.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Way do we get to her? We have Jerry from Rockville, Maryland.
She's sixty four years old.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yes, in healthcare business and loves to fish. Not one
of my favorite things.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
She's a CEO. She does not tolerate bad breath and
breath who does je? I just don't think it's a
thing like I think anybody's like, you know what, it's cool.
The only problem is on this show it's long days.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
You just have one of those mint things for your tongue,
that's all.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, the strips. We have Lily seventy two years old.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
She does not look seventy two saying seriously. And she
hates bad drivers. I love that, don't we all? And
she likes tennis.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, she plays for the USTA tennis team.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Yeah. Another one in shape at seventy.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
I'm just what we're saying.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Blows my mind. It just blows my mind.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Lisa sixty six years old. She is from Marion, Ohio.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
I can't That girl is the cutest thing I've ever seen,
the way she talks, and she's a swiftie. I mean,
she loves She's just adorable to me. I hope she
gets on there. I hope he picks her for something,
just because I think she's too cute for words.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Was a trender seeing so far are I feel like
she's one of the only well, yeah, she's one of
the only blondes that have come up on our list.
We have one.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
There's more, there's more, But do you?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
I mean it's always a good teller because I remember
when I was a bachelor, they do give you a
list of what are you physically attracted?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
What do you like? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, And I don't know if they actually care to
find that or not if it says anything.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
But well, did you say Brunette?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I forget, honestly, I forget. It's been so long, but
I married a brunette, so I guess that would have
been let's just say yes, I said to Brunette a
five foot one inch brunette was what I.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Was like, perfect brunette for you.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Yeah. Maya's up next from Malibu, California. She is fifty
eight years old. She is the youngest so far.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Yes, yes, wait a pro shopper, like, do you know what,
my kid, I got to meet this girl because that
is one of my passwords, pro shopper one.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Well this, I mean this, like, think about the date
that she could go on where he takes her to,
like the mall which you've seen recently, may have like
a shopping spree.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Maybe she could dress him too.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Dreams do come true.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Monica Bee from Huntsville, Alabama. She is sixty two years old.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Yes, and she loves Martha's Vineyard, which is a really
cool place, and feeding the ducks with her grandkids. Like
she seems like a nice family oriented, good mo mom.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
We haven't seen I mean, Susan, I'm kind of running
through these quickly, but we haven't seen grandkids mentioned.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Not too many of them say it, but I know
she does.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, she says it, which says a lot about her
and kind of where she's at in life. Yes, during
your time on the show, grandkids were a very common topic.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yes, most of us had them.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, most of you were missing or talking about or
sharing about so. And I think that's a wonderful thing.
Monica pe is next. She's from Birmingham, Alabama. She is
sixty years old.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Skateboarding that I love, but like that's awesome that you
can skateboard or snowboard. That's not my thing. And she
also likes to crochet. That's like the total opposite to me.
That must be on her downtime.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
It's a renaissance woman. She you can do it all.
She can do everything.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
And loves big hair. Well she should be from Texas
because when I did hair back in the day in Texas,
everybody I made a fortune. Does everybody wanted big blonde.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Hair, big blonde hair. Absolute gorgeous person that I'm announcing.
Next Myleen, who is a casino VIP host Las Vegas
de Bada. She's sixty one years old. Her picture, I
mean it looks like they put like a faint.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Stunning, stunning, stunning, stunning. I mean you gotta notice her.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yeah, I mean, am I wrong? In this picture that
we're seeing on the website. She's the only one that
looks like her hair is getting wind blown.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
I know, I know, it's like perfect great hood shock.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Nicole from Miami Beach, Florida, sixty four years old.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Oh yes, a yoga girl, right, she's going to be flexible,
she's gonna be she's anything like me in the morning
to shock the girls. What I used to do early
in the morning.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Is that what you do?

Speaker 3 (17:41):
No, no, no. I used to like get a rise
out of the more quiet women. And they'd have coffee
in their hands out by the pool, six thirty in
the morning, and I would come out in my little
robe and I'd take it off and I skinny dip
every morning. Oh my gosh, you have to see them, Susan,
weren't you get Why are you crazy? There's cameras everywhere.

(18:01):
I said, there's no crew here to film. We're good
just to get a rise out of them.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
This is a story I've never heard.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
This is yeah, it was printed. Trust me.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
It's a beautiful It's a beautiful way to wake up,
especially with that chili pool. I mean it's like a
cold dip in the morning. Wake here.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Youre fig perfect.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yes. Well. Nicole went to culinary school. She's been a
vegan for nineteen years. She can do handstands in the splits,
so that will be a wild way. What you got, maw,
I'm next? You got Peg sixty two years old from
Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Can't we talk about Peg? First of all, she's got
the thickest hair I've ever seen on a woman. And
I noticed those things firefighter wait doing bombs for the
last few years. Like, this girl's going to be a
tough cookie. Nothing's going to get by her. I think
she's going to be real to the raw of sense.

(19:02):
I don't know if that'll hurt her or help her,
you know what I'm saying, Like sometimes, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I have this image in my head though, host Susan
I have to share it of her now or twenty
years ago being a firefighter. She goes and saves the
building and it's like almost like a TV show where
she takes off her helmet and she flips that big
old hair like it stop like jaws on the floor,

(19:30):
Like who is this human?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
She's hot, she's hot, but she's not going to take
any no, not that one.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I kind of we need that.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
I look forward to it. Yes.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Robin's sixty three years old from Napa California.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Yes, a wealth advisor and has her own vineyards. Now
I could be your friend. Yeah, a wealth advisor. Like really, that's.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Big, it's a big deal. It's it's very different. There
is one thing I think that does stand out for
this season. These women have like all very specific careers, careers,
and I'm assuming most of them are either stepping out
of those careers and retired or just taking a break

(20:18):
to come on the show. But I do think we
see a vast array of careers here, everything from advisors
to fire fighters to dnnists. I mean, come on, a vineyard.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Do you have your own vineyard? Come on?

Speaker 2 (20:33):
I think it's going to add to the cast conversation
when we're hearing how they come into each situation.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
I want to know, is mellow wine lover.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
I don't know many people that aren't true.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
This is the true. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Roxanne from Austin, Texas. She's sixty three years old.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Sixty three. I thought she was only sixty two.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Well, either sixty two. The website says sixty three. My
notes here say sixty two, So let's say sixty two
and a half.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Okay, whatever. I just when I look at her, she's
going to be a hopeless romantic. I think she's going
to fall for him. I mean these are guestimates, of course,
but as I read their profile, look at their pictures,
and just the way she looks in her picture, she's
going to fall in love. Well.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
And she has an interesting note here where she said
she sold everything and moved to Costa Rica without knowing anyone.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Is that crazy?

Speaker 2 (21:26):
I mean it's crazy. She also has entered into a
poll dancing competition. She's fiery.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
You gotta love it.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I'm next. Susie sixty two years old from del Mar, California.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yes, a real or a real estate person right.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yep, yeah, realtor and also graduated from college at thirty
years old as a mom as.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
A mom, well somebody else Andre she got her master's
degree at sixty one years old.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
That's the stories I love too.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
I mean that's impressive.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
When I was getting my undergraduate I remember I had
two classes with somebody that was probably in their sixties,
and I remember back then just being like kind of surprised,
but also looking back now as I'm out of school, like,
how cool is it that somebody said, you know what, No,
I'm going to go get myself an education and start

(22:25):
my career in my sixties. I think it's awesome. It's
absolutely incredible. Terry is seventy one years old from Houston, Texas.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Another one from Texas, a cosmetic dentist. Yes, my implant.
She could have saved me money probably, But and she's
very interesting as well, like Ege and every one of
these women have their own thing. And as you said,
they all talk about being a grandparent. But they're very

(22:55):
positive in what they think about life and who they are,
where they come from. Do you know what I mean?
They're not like melting into the background. No, he's got
to run for his money.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
She's also she trained herself to be a ventriloquist at
nine years old. Have you ever tried that?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
No, you should wait. I talk to my big I
would be the worst person to do it.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Tracy's sixty two years old from Lafayette, Louisiana.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Tracy, Oh, she's an interior designer, a real Southern bell.
Did you see that picture.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah, she's known for her big hats, and she's wearing
a hat in this picture.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Yes, I love it.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
She is an interior designer. She enjoys again offshore.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Fishing, these women are fishing.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
It's you know what. So that's the cast, Susan, here's
the interesting part of everything.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I'm just looking at all their pictures like.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
I did too, I was like, this is ridiculous. The
video is absolutely incredible. But what are your overall thoughts
on the cast at Like, as a whole.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
This is going to be interesting in what way? Because
I don't think there's anyone that's really humble. I think
they're all big personalities and like I said before, true
to themselves, and they're going to step it up a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I think they're gonna step it up. And I think
what I loved about your season was the confidence that
each woman brought into the house. It isn't this, oh
my gosh, I'm never going to find love one day
for a lot of you. It was this is a
second chance at love, and it is. I have my
own things going. I don't need this show. I don't

(25:01):
need what the show is going to give me. But
it's a cool opportunity and it's cool to mix things up.
So I think the confidence is going to be there.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
I'm hoping that when we left our show, my best
message of all was letting people know that life is
so full of possibilities. Over sixty doesn't mean you're dead.
It's the best chapter. It might be the last chapter.
Hopefully it's a long one, but it's the best one
because we don't care anymore. We've experienced so much. And

(25:30):
then after watching us, now the next group coming in,
I think they're going to be even bolder and wilder
if you will. Yeah, you know they're not going to
be afraid.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah, I want to see who this skinny dipper is
this season in the mornings. That's pretty bold, Susan. We
always do this yere at the almost famous podcast before
season starts. Can you give me your top three that
you think will be there at the very end?

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Who? I think? Debbie Okay, I think maybe Terry. I
think it's a lot of Texas people. Robin Robin just
what she does, she's very interesting. I think she might
be one of the finals. I love peg But and Lisa,

(26:20):
I love them, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Yeah, I mean, I'm with you. I think for me,
I'm gonna be watching Nicole because she can do handstands
and I think that's gonna be too.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Or Miami girl.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
I think Myleene will be interesting, and I'm gonna put
Debbie in there, So Debbie, Myleen. What about Lily Pacific Palisades,
retired elementary school teacher.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Dancing queen.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah, you know, here's the truth of this, Susan. I
look at this and I look at people like Diane
from Alaska like I need to see their personalities because
I think there's gonna be like I have a feeling
mel even if he meant what he said in his interview,
and maybe this is the thing that most fans should

(27:11):
go into the season interested in. I think he's going
to be humbled that his thought and opinions were wrong
because I think these women are going to give him
a run for his money and show him something that
he never thought.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yes, I also wonder about the drama. Do you think
they'll be drama? I think some of them women are
going to be outspoken, like like my peg, like being
that firefighter's she doesn't know how to soften the blow.
I'm just wondering, Like I remember Kathy and Teresa at
the zip it in the whole bit.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Yeah, the drama looks different during the Golden like the
zip it thing in any you know Bachelor Bachelorette season
is nothing. It's it's not even shown. So I do
think there's always going to be drama because it is
going to be a bunch of people in a house
and it just gets a little annoying for everybody, and
there's gonna be a moment where somebody speaks up. But

(28:08):
I don't want the Golden to ever be drama focused.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Oh gosh, that was the best part of our show.
We really didn't have drama. We were genuinely happy. Whoever
got the date, we were thrilled for them. I mean
a couple of them were a little wishy washy in
the end because they all were, a few of them
falling in love. I remember the night before we went
to the peer and a couple of women in my

(28:35):
room and I was like, are you really in love?
And they're crying, Like what am I going to do?

Speaker 2 (28:39):
West?

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Did I watch the show? You gotta tell them, you
gotta tell them who's going to be like the mommy
in the house. Like like I was like, took care
of everybody. I cooked. I don't know, I'm looking at
all these professionals. Nobody said how much they like to cook.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah, I don't know. If we have any Italians on.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Here, maybe that's the problem.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, I think that's the big deal. Susan last question
for you. We will be recapping every episode of The
Gold and Bachelor premierees on September twenty fourth, so listen
in here to the almost fon this podcast as we
get into actually knowing these cast members. But Susan last
question for you in relation to this season. Do you

(29:22):
think Mel's going to get engaged at the end of this?

Speaker 3 (29:25):
You know, I have my doubts. I do. I don't
know why, but I have my doubts. But I hope
he leaves with somebody.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
It feels like there's a lot of a lot of
things that need to be crossed over and healed before
he can actually say, yes, I'm going to engage this.
It felt like he came into this a little hesitant
and not really knowing what this whole experience was.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
The mouth and yeah, like I said, I'm sure he
was just teasing, like not teasing, but there's something that
got I say and people say, I hope that's the case.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Yeah, I'm giving him the benefit of doubt here. I
don't think it was a good move. I think it
was probably one of the worst things he could say
as the Golden Bachelor. I think it was like did.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
You read the tablet? Like the comments like get a
new one, give the guy a break. He made a mistake.
You know. I'm always up for the underdog, like give
somebody a chance.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
To give him a chance. I'm hoping for a love
story is what I'm hoping for here again. September twenty fourth,
The Golden Bachelor will be airing. We are excited about
it here at ALM Listeners podcast. It might not seem
like it, but I am excited about it. I am
just more hesitant going into this season as I was
any of the old former Golden seasons. But I am

(30:46):
willing to give this guy a benefit of the doubt.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Don't be hesitant. This is going to be good. These
girls are gonna shine.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Trust Susan, she knows what she's talking about. Until next time,
I've been been Thank you.
