Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with I our radio.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hey guys, welcome to the Almost as podcast. Today we
are recapping episode five of Bachelor in Paradise and guess
who we have doing so with us. It is one
of our favorite Bachelor in Paradise alums, taj Wan Hawkins. Yeah, Tajwan,
you're a Paradise icon. I mean when people think about you,
I guess people think about like how you just were
(00:28):
so hot all the time, Like physically you actually felt sweating.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
So hot personally like both like how much would you
have loved to have a C like these people are having.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
The second I heard that they had a C, my
jaw hit the floor, kidding. I would have done so
much better.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
This would have been a time for you to thrive.
You should have. So you were on Paradise twice, you're
on season six and seven. If only you had skipped
one of those, then you could have been perhaps on this.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I know my timing was bad.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah. One of the reasons you're here today is because
you do have some very strong opinions about Paradise right now,
and that's what we're having about Paradise right now. I
think that's what everybody needs when it comes to Paradise.
We don't need this like lukewarm, wishy washy. Yeah, I
don't know if it's good or not. I feel like
at this point you have to make a decision. Do
you like the new Paradise or you don't? I say that,
(01:26):
And as we've been known here recently, we're hypocrites because
there's parts of this new Paradise I do enjoy, I say,
but there's also parts I really dislike. So how are
you feeling towards the whole season now?
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Overall? With the new season unpopular opinion? I think it
needed a shake up, like it was time, and I
feel like it was overdue. But I do miss the
nostalgic pieces of Paradise. It's just like you miss the
entrances coming down the stairs, you know, you miss all
(02:01):
the chirons and the funny bits. I don't know. That's
kind of where I've landed. I think it needed to happen,
so I think it'll take the rest of America some
time to get used to it.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Here's the part that nobody's talking about that I really
want the two of your opinions on before we break down.
This episode which you're going to break down this episode
of Paradise. We've already been confirmed that when there is
the next Bachelor, whoever that may be, the same production
team will be doing the Bachelor, which means it's probably
(02:33):
gonna look very similar in a lot of ways, with
the high def cameras and the editing and the cutting.
Are we excited for that or do we feel like
The Bachelor should not change from what it was?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Actually I feel like the Bachelor could use that shake up.
I'm down for that. I think Paradise people just like
never had any complaints about Paradise. Nobody was there like, oh,
Paradise is tired. But I'm loving it now. I'm just
telling you you we had our complaints earlier on the season,
but this episode marked like my like three episodes totally
(03:07):
in It feels far more familiar again to me, the
flashy style editing was is just coming across more subdued.
I don't know if I'm just used to it or
maybe because the storylines are evolving more, but I am
finding myself watching it the way that I used to.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Yeah, I think it takes some time to get used to.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
I'm not I'm not.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I don't like it, So I don't like it. Why
what's distracting you? Is it just like the slow motion sexiness?
Speaker 3 (03:35):
It's a slow motion, it's the editing. It's location. Really
for me, I think is even when I think it
was Jonathan pulled somebody away to have like a one
on one conversation at some point, like early on in
this episode, and probably Cat, they had to walk like
it looked like twenty minutes to find any sort of privacy,
(03:58):
Like they just kept walking and running in to people
along the way if you remember this, But it just
felt like this, this whole resort isn't set up for
a Paradise vibe to me, and I don't I liked
Paradise being what it was. I have said this and
I'll stick to it, and I'm not mad at the
show for trying something new. I think it's always a
(04:18):
great thing to do, and it takes some courage and
it takes some guts. I miss beautiful people sweating and
being uncomfortable all the time. I miss it. It's something
I enjoyed. I think the fans enjoyed it. We like
seeing the Tajuans like go down being a beautiful human
and sweating her brains out for five days, being like
(04:39):
I hate every second of this, and we're like, it's relatable.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's really everything takes place in the same set, you
know how. Sometimes you'll go to a Broadway show, not
sure if you guys frequent them, but some some have
sets where like it's constantly in motion, and then sometimes
it's a set set and that can get kind of
boring to watch, and I feel like that's kind of
(05:04):
what's happening. And I'm also feeling that the resort is
looking a little cheaper, like even where the rose ceremonies are,
it's just not lush. It looks like it could be
like just like a Standard. I mean, I love a Hilton, okay,
but like it looks like it could just like be
a Hilton.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, I miss the bunk beds. Like it's too it's
too posh. It's too posh. I'm looking at the food
they're eating. It's just they're they're having they're enjoying themselves
a little too much for my liking.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
No One, Yeah, we want them to struggle. But what
I liked about this episode, because let's get into this episode,
is we saw a lot of behind the sort of
like behind the curtain moments where the guys were talking
in their rooms and we saw that we were talking
to Hakeem today earlier and he said that every bedroom
has a camera, and there was one really interesting conversation
(05:55):
that happened between was it Brian and Jeremy, where Jeremy said,
I love a moment like this. I wish they would
do it more often. He goes, I don't want to
say what I'm gonna say with my mic on and
then he like tried to like say, I don't know,
like what, I don't know whether they caught it on
a different mic that's like maybe also in the room,
(06:17):
but they had it pretty clear that he said I
should have given my rose to Susie. I'm like not
that interested in Bailey.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
He messed up.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
That was a big moment.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, it's a big moment, especially because rumors on social
media right now are that Jeremy and Bayley are together
somewhere and like vacationing. What mm hmm, it's happening right
now as we speak. This is the rumors spoiler alert,
they might make it and now she's having to watch
his back being like you really liked me.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Huh, I'd be very upset.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Very was the case, very upset. All Right, here we go,
We're gonna start this thing out. It is uh. Before
we go, though, uh, Tajuan, I want to talk to
you about your real estate career. You're co hosting with
us today because you have strong opinions on this year paradise,
and we need those strong opinions from you. We want
those strong opinions from you. We want you to share
(07:10):
as honestly as you want to be honest. But you're
also very successful right now in the Denver real estate market.
I want to give you a second to shout that
out for anybody looking and wanting what's going on.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
Yeah, there's so much happening. I feel like you see
so many different headlines in the news, and like it's
really hard to keep up. I would say, if you're
in the market to buy or sell, just give me
a call and I'll help you out. I think the
biggest thing right now is calling me to negotiate seller
concessions for you so you can get into a home.
So that's a really big thing that we're seeing right now.
(07:46):
So it's been very busy. I've been negotiating contracts all day.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
So where's the best way to reach you?
Speaker 4 (07:53):
I would say, just go to my Instagram and click
on the link in my bio has my I phone
number email information there and you can get in touch.
That's the best way.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah, it's a it's a wild time, especially because it
feels like most people under the age of thirty right
now will have a very hard time finding a home.
And you need a good agent to find a home,
to help negotiate and to help navigate the process. If not,
you're going to be a thirty eight year old person
wanting to find a home that will never have owned
(08:26):
a home. And that's a dream I think of all
of ours. So yeah, we should reach out. Find her
on Instagram. But today she is a co host of
the almost famous podcast It's Day nine of Paradise. The
Men have the Roses and Faith Martin shows up to
the beach, which is still one of the most confusing
things that ever happen on Paradise to me, because now
we have six golden women and three golden men and
(08:51):
the men have the roses just to remind everybody.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, I guess they like don't want the golden to
find love, especially, it doesn't make it also a moment
where they had go on the date with Kathy and
like not wait for Captain Kim to come back. I
was like, do they just want us to see like
ladies out on a lady date because it'll be more interesting,
or like do they really not really care?
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Can ladies give ladies roses?
Speaker 2 (09:18):
So true? Why couldn't they just wait? I guess the
horseback riding actually had an appointment time anyway? All right,
so yeah, Faith comes in, but the and she says
that she might become the hoe of the season. She's
looking forward to kissing many guys, she says, but it's
then disappointed to see only three, and everybody wants Gary.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
He's a hot commodity.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
I know, Hey, what about cute little Keith? Why is
Keith not being a hot commodity?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
I have no idea. I feel like, especially for the Goldens,
this is a different environment. I feel like we're used
to seeing everyone else. This is like they're playground, and
now that the Goldens are here in Paradise, I feel
like they don't know what's coming.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
The other side of this is the women, and the
Golden women seem to be having a lot better time
with this than the Golden Men. I mean, the Golden
Men seem like they want to be there. I'm not
saying they don't. They definitely want to be there. But
the Golden Women are kind of like diving headfirst into it.
They are our biggest partiers up to this point, which
(10:28):
is very obvious when it comes to April and Dale.
I mean, Dale takes a body shot off of April.
Everybody seems cool with it, so there must have been
more conversation behind the scenes. Nobody's threatened by April, but
she's just since day one, she is part of my
friends and she can quote me on the question on this.
(10:50):
It just feels like she's trying to get a lay.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
No, you're right, I just want some action.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
She's a little discouraged, she's lonely. She just she's out
there saying I'm gonna wear a bikini, I'm gonna look
good and faunt my stuff, and if anybody's interested, I'm
more than happy to be there.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Oh that's funny, Ben, I'm gonna be honest. I don't
know if I like the Goldens mingling with everyone else.
It feels like something just that should be separate. It
feels wrong.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Honestly, I've been saying that the Goldens are bringing like
a levity and making it actually feel like more normal
paradise to me. But I understand like wanting a little
separation there. My biggest the storyline that intrigued me the
most here during this episode was Dale and Kat and Jonathan.
(11:45):
I just don't understand. Dale just looks like a really
bad guy right now, do we not agree?
Speaker 4 (11:51):
He does. He's saying things and then not unsaying them,
and I feel like honesty is the best policy and
he might crash and.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
With Kat, it's going to catch up with him. I mean,
he's caught on camera saying the things he said, he
didn't exactly and they're.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Re airing that. They were like, you know, bigger rot,
and they're showing it because they want to get him caught.
They don't have to do that, they so often don't
they can. This is just a demonstration on how the
edit can be. Like they didn't have to show and
they could have left it up to us to speculate,
(12:28):
but they wanted us to know that he really did
say these things.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
But I'm in agreeiance. Why not just be honest, like
This whole thing gets easier if he's honest with Kat
from the beginning, where it's a hey, I'm into you,
that's clear to everybody, but I'm not settling down with you.
I am still open and interested in other people. However,
I am loving every moment we get to have together
(12:52):
to get to know each other better. But instead he
says these things like, hey, we've turned into the corner.
Were committed, it's all And then as soon as another
pretty girl walks and he's like, okay, all right, I'm
I have no commitments here. It it's questionable to me
and I don't know Dale. But he says things like
(13:13):
I know I'm going to be a great father, zero
doubt you're gonna be a great father. That's a wild
thing to say, Like you like I am a dad.
I never once told anybody, Hey, I'm gonna be a
great dad. I said. I hurt so sure, Hope to God,
I'll pray to the Lord above. I'm gonna work my
damnedest to not mess up this child like dad. Like
just to go into any situation be like you know
(13:34):
what I've got it. I don't know what it's like.
I haven't been there. I have no experience with the matter,
but I'm going to be great at it. It's a
wild statement.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
My alert went off. It was like Ben Higgins is disturbed.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Ben Higgins is disturbed when he said that, because I
was like, way to self describe and then like somehow
see into the future and then also think incredibly highly
of yourself and then say that you think incredibly highly
of yourself.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
It is the that right there was like, hey man,
I don't have any doubt. I don't want to tell
You're not gonna be like I don't have that ability
nor desire to tell you. But to be so confident
in something so difficult and unexpected.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
He's like a walking resume. Honestly, Yes, he's trying to
pitch himself in this like certain light, thinking that's what
you know. Kat wants to hear. Everyone wants to hear.
But it's like, you got to make that connection, and
I think there's a disconnect.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Yeah, I help needy kids, I want to be a
great dad, I'm empathetic, I have great family. Like it's
like it is it's a walking resume that anytime anybody
does that, it makes me just take a step back
and be like Hey, maybe maybe some humility is necessary
in this moment. Also, on top of that, when you
(14:53):
are we'll say like it is when you are lying
to the person that you're most intimate with on the
show currently, which if he did right, we can all
agree he lied. He said I never said that. Yeah,
we have him on camera saying it, so I think,
you know, even it's a little white lie and things
got weird. I'm not blaming him for trying to get
(15:14):
out of the situation in the best ways possible. I
just would say it might be a time to check yourself.
So maybe ask yourself self, reflect, go internal and say,
maybe I need to understand that I am not who
I claim to say I am at every second.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Yeah, and the way that he describes who he wants
to be with sounds to me like he just wants
somebody to obey him.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah, that's going to go so well in America. Yeah, obeying. Hey, Jessica,
listen to me. Watch what happens.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
There's a lot to say already. So then let's talk
before we go further into them, because they do come
about again later in the episode, Leah and Jonathan. Leah
(16:11):
comes in, She comes in, did she come in with Faith, yeah,
or did she come up with Nancy last week? She
came in with Nancy last week. Yeah, but she has
the date card for He's just still give out.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Jonathan and Leah have absolutely no chemistry. He does not
like her. Are we all in agreeance for this? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
I was giving friend zone.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
The most friend zone. He kept spitting out his freaking
coconut if he had a true coconut in his mouth,
which is fine, like just like go like this. I
don't know, it's like use your finger for a second.
The spit constantly was like also screaming friend zone. I'm
not trying to be like sexy and turn you on
right now. And then oh, there were just some awkward
(16:56):
moments where like she was over laughing and then he
would look at her like, oh god, you're really over laughing.
It wasn't that funny. They do not have it. I
do think that Jonathan is still trying to play for
Kat's a Rose or like for that kind of relationship
right now, but it is like not gonna be Leah.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Well, that's my question to both of you is if
he's not into her, what is he into Because he
has been friend zoned throughout this whole entire season, and
since he got friend zoned during his time on The Bachelorette.
Is he picky or is this just his vibe and
he doesn't know how to flirt? What are you guys reading.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
I think it's the vibe. The vibes are off.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
His vibe is off. Yeah, I think that he's super charming.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Just let's be clear, Ashley has always.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Been like I've always been like, he's so cute.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah. So, like she's coming at this trying to protect
what she has said and stated, I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
I've met him. I think he's a nice guy. I
think he's agreed. I have nothing wrong with the guy.
But I think his vibe is, Hey, I'm here to
be like a friend, and I don't know how to
initiate a flirtation towards anybody because I'm way more comfortable
just being liked by everyone in like this friendly type way.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
I feel like that can happen too, Like a lot
of times you want to go in and be friends
with everyone in the group and be supportive, you know,
and people are going through the things and their connections,
but at the same time, it's like, are you there
to find love or are you just there for vacation
and to hang out with your friends.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Well, my inside sources say that he is an absolutely
no way ready to have a relationship. So maybe it
was just his way of not getting in trouble.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Maybe, Ashulely, can you elaborate on that, please, There's not
much else to say.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
I just hear that, like he's definitely not ready to
settle down.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Sure, well, when you have a body like that, it's
gonna be hard to slow things down. We're not feeling
it with the two of them, but we do have
a date that happens that I am excited about and
confused by. Gary is the hot commodity on the beaches
of Paradise right now. The golden women are flocking towards
(19:20):
this man, even with a margarine in his hand and
a casadea in his mouth. They're saying, that is the
man I want, and I get it. He's a nice
guy and he comes in with a big personality. Nancy
and Gary go on a date. They participate in a ritual.
These people are both people of the Christian faith tradition,
so they mentioned that this is uncomfortable for them at
(19:42):
some level. However, they're both willing to try it because
goodness gracious, as you get older in life, why not
try something it feels like to me? I mean, I
think that drink was just pretty much like pure chocolate, right?
Is that like it's the it came from the chocolate plant? Right?
Speaker 2 (20:00):
No? No, it's a different kind of play. Oh, cocow
like the cocoa what I like to think of it,
Like that's the chocolate being Yeah, yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
A raw chocolate. And yet they're acting like they just
took ayahuasca, Like they just simply went in and took
like the sam Pedro ayahuasca. We're tripping our balls off,
having the best time ever. I'm confused. Did they really
take it edible? Did they do something extracurricular here? How
(20:31):
is chocolate in a drinking form? Am I missing something?
Speaker 2 (20:38):
You are missing something?
Speaker 5 (20:40):
The line where the woman says that they can't have
penetration here, what does that mean?
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Like?
Speaker 2 (20:49):
I know what that means?
Speaker 5 (20:54):
Is this like something that often is a desire when
people take cocow?
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Does anybody know that? Y? Do you have any background
or like scientific evidence that like chocolate in its rawest
form made into a drink all of a sudden makes
us so excited for each other that we are tempted
to have sexual relations on camera in front of millions
of people at sixty plus years old.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
It honestly should go on the list as an aphrodisiac.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
I've never heard of it.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Never, No me neither, like you always hear about oysters, right,
But anyway, they're tripping guys and then they come back
and of course there's some very trippy thing happening. It's
a compatibility, a chemistry test. It's a compatibility a chemistry
test where we all dress up like sexy birds. It
(21:48):
is a little weirdly erotic in like a demented you know,
weird dark sort of what's the Tom Cruise movie.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
There's movies that have play this.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, yeah, do I shut? I do I shot? Yeah?
I think so. It is interesting. My takeaways here is
that it made Jill feel very very bad because her
guy Sean seems more into April and Ali Aliisha. Do
(22:21):
we say Alisha or is it al just Alicia?
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Right?
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Are some people saying it weird?
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Probably?
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Yeah, okay, Alisha. She walks in in the midst of this,
and he's all into that too. Dale's all into Alicia
and Jill is just like Wow, I couldn't be more
friend zone here. Nobody wants to like pick my feathers,
so she decides to leave, and it's actually a really emotional,
really relatable moment to a lot of girls out there.
(22:51):
I'm sure it spoke to my twenty something soul.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
They gave her a lot of They gave her a
lot of screen time for this. Yeah, and I think
it was beautiful. Ji's great. I will agree with you.
This bird dancing thing was like funny but like very sensual. Yeah,
are we the only two that are like feeling this
way almost.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Dark like twisty sexual too? Yeah, like people are putting
on like a facade. They felt like they could like
do a little bit more, Like Andrew.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Was there with like giving black Swan Like it really was.
Everyone was kind of playing into being birds and it
was kind of nice to see like everyone was kind
of letting loose and having run together.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
It was a great date. It's so much better than
the five like sinces dates that we've had so far
this season. To mix it up and make people dress
up and to have a good time together. There there
really wasn't like a standout performance. There was definitely couples
that felt like to me connected the most during it.
(23:57):
I was surprised the winners because I did feel like
Alex and Andrew, if you're looking for the most compatibility,
it seemed like they really stood out above everybody else.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
To this point, I really want them to do well together.
Do you know what was a red flag to me?
I think this was in the last episode and not
this episode.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I get all mixed up when I watched them the
same day. So she said something along the lines of like,
I go to bed every night and I can't wait
to wake up in the morning.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
To see you last episode.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Okay, and then he kind of made a face when
he was in an interview like like holy shit, that
was intense, and not like holy shit, this is so
cute and exciting. It was more of like, eh, I'm
not there yet.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Rachel explains it to me she was co hosting last
week's episode. She knows Andrew, and that's just who he is,
that he is like into a but hesitant. It's kind
of his demeanor towards any girl. What's he just doesn't
dive in head first. It does feel like Alex and
Andrew have a very strong thing going, but Brian and
Parisa win the date, then something happens. It feels like
(25:11):
this is one of those moments where we're not getting
the whole story.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Oh, I think I know what's going on. You tell
me your theory first.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
I have no theory. I just said I don't know
what's going on.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Yeah, what's your theory? Actually?
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Oh, my theory is that he was getting very tired
of production being around and he wanted to have a
conversation off camera. And he was like, Oh, when we
go to the room, it'll be like us time. And
then when they were like no, no, we're going to keep
the cameras here for the pool time and then like
you guys will get the bedroom time by yourself. And
(25:45):
I think when he found that out, he was like,
I do not want to have a conversation. I want
to actually talk about things that were not comfortable talking
about on camera. I yeah, I just think that he
was annoyed. I think he was annoyed at the production
at that moment, because that's why she like, what's your
favorite color? Because they were like, you know, chat a
little big get to know each other a little bit more,
(26:05):
and then he was like, holy shit, we already talked
about this.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
I think he did a really poor job of handling
the situation.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Well, me too. This is not to excuse him at all.
He has made me nervous since day one. There's something
about him that makes me uncomfortable. He seems he could
be like quite grouchy, and this further made me feel
uncomfortable with him.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
I just felt for Parsa like it just came off rude. Yeah,
And when you're trying to establish a connection with someone,
you can't go about it in that way, even if
you are annoyed, Like everyone's annoyed, right, there's cameras, you're
it's it's uncomfortable, and you're just trying to get to
know people. So I don't think her questions were misplaced,
even if it's a question of what's your favorite color.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
I'm with you. I a counter person agree. I think
you signed up for a television show. If you got
five minutes off camera, that is a gift when it
comes to your agreement to be on a television show.
So the fact that you have one on one time
with your girl in a pool and that they're saying
later on, when you guys close that door, we're not
going to come in there and follow you. You got
(27:17):
to give it what you got in those moments to
be supportive of the situation because you're not promised anything
when it comes to this show. We all know that
you don't have a loane time. This is a rare
gift to expect it is crazy.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Well, I'm just coming up with theories here, and I
also want to agree with you guys that if that
was indeed the situation, that he did not handle it
well at all. He and Jeremy I got red fox
with them sometimes.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Really why Jeremy, Well we do should we lead into
the Jeremy thing or is that later in the episode?
Speaker 2 (27:55):
No, it actually is right there right now.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
I mean, why does Jeremy give you a red fla Ashley?
Is it because he's talking about other girls when he's
with us with another girl and she doesn't know that
he's talking about other girls? Is that why you're nervous?
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Yeah? He and Bailey seems so strong right like we
would put them like top tier of compatibility in chemistry
right now, But apparently it's like all an act to
him because he and Brian in their room. He says,
like I mentioned earlier in the podcast, I want to
say something, but I don't want to talk with the
mic gun. I don't want to win with Bailey because
(28:31):
of Susie. Was this the bird compatibility test? Or is
this just like in general doesn't want to leave with
with her in general? Yeah? I thought so, okay, okay,
So in general I don't want to win with Bailey
because of Susie. She's a great girl, but I efed
up not giving Susie the rose. And then Jeremy tells
Brian that he called Susie in the interview room, and
(28:53):
he says that if Susie were to come back, he
would give her a rose. And he also Joe that
he would.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Propose her goodness and Susie would say no. Just to
be clear.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
And then in the other room, Alex and Bailey are
talking and Bailey says she's ready to get engaged. She
feels a really strong connection. And then she said that
she feels love for Jeremy, and it's like, oh my god.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
They're on complete opposite ends of where they stand.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Is Jeremy batting out of his league here? Just with Bailey,
like completely, no matter what.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Taj want, I'll let you do.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Yeah, yeah, I'm just like we all agree once that
Bailey is a catch here.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
She is a serious catch. So but but also everyone
is a catch, right, So like everyone comes in, Susie
comes in, there's Bailey, and it's like, who do you
go with? I think everyone's a catch. But Jeremy is
saying one thing to Bailey and then saying another thing.
So I think she also thinks that they're peachy Keene
(30:03):
and everything's fine and doesn't seem like they are.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Would you be fired up? Okay, let's just play the
scenario out that those two are still together to this day,
they make it to the end. You're watching the season back.
If you're Bailey, are you upset?
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Oh? Oh I'm fuming?
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yeah? I would think so.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
If they're together right now and he didn't warn her
about this, which he may not have because it's on
like the room camera and he thought.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
He was, you know, holding his mic to his chest,
thought it was gonna be lost footage.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, what a fun episode to watch together on vacation.
Be awesome. It'd be so fun to be a part
of that. I mean Bailey. Here's the thing. Bailey is
on her own if an insanely desirable person on the
beach to so many people, she has locked herself up
(31:06):
with a guy who thinks who she thinks is totally
committed to her, and he cannot get Susie's name out
of his mouth at any point. It has been confusing
to us from the very beginning that he has not
told Bailey that, yeah, he called Susie and that he
still had somewhat of a feeling for her. It is
(31:28):
odd to me and this and this is where you
two need to come in and help me. I've always
said in Paradise you should date around. It's what it's for.
Be careful settling down too quickly, but at some point
you'll want to because if it's the right person, it
makes sense. Why has he not told her? Does it
(31:49):
feel like he would lose everything he's built to this point?
Is he trying to win? What is the motivation to
not letting Bailey know that he has still had he
still has feelings for.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
He wants to eat his cake and have it too perfectly.
But yeah, that's the only thing that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, he wants to stick around he wants to get airtime,
he wants to see who else walks in, and he
wants to be certain then he'll get a rose every
time there's a ceremony where the girls how the roses?
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Is this a common like trait of people in Paradise? Like,
do you see this path often?
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Super common?
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (32:26):
I think because the person that you were hoping was
going to be there might show up next week exactly,
and you want to be there next week to meet them,
so you kind of have to tread lightly.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Was I talking to Jade you guys on the podcast
and I'll just tell you really briefly. You can listen
to the podcast episode. But she was saying that it
would be smart if they were to mix it up,
if they were looking to it for a way to
mix up Paradise. You put all of them in at once,
and then there's no like entrances because that way, you're like,
if the person's not there, they're not there.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
When you have a forty extra rooms at a resort
wide open with air conditioning, you have the ability to
put everybody in there at once. Why not?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Sure? That's different.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
That makes it different, makes it a lot different. Hey,
as we kind of wrap up this episode, obviously we
have the dal kat Alisha like scenario happening. We've talked
(33:30):
about a little bit on what we feel about Dale's
behavior so far. I just I think we all agree
right that honesty would be his best pathway forward is
to be honest with everybody instead of saying to one person, hey,
we're good, we're committed, but you know right away going
to the prettiest girl that just comes into the beach
(33:51):
and saying, hey, I'm also not that committed and I'd
love to be into you. Where does this spit him out?
Speaker 5 (33:59):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Wait? He says to her, Hey, I want to go
on the date with you. He like literally looked at her,
I want to go on the date with you, and
then denies it tokat. And then he also said to
the guys, I really want to go on a date
with Kat and I really want to go on a
date to watch Cat's Sweat, And we get this confirmed
(34:21):
in the flashback footage and it's just like the greatest
TV Like, I love it. And then the fact that
like Jeremy was trying to make it seem like Jonathan's
being a liar title tale in that moment and not
saying like, yeah, well dude, you did say that he
was defending down, trying to cover up his ass, and
we all know that Jeremy may not be wanted to
be trusted.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Is this Dale's first time in paradise?
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (34:45):
It shows Yeah, watch.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
What do you mean by that? Though?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Oh he's going around. He's like, you know, there's someone
new coming down on the beach, and hey, I.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Go on a date with you.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
But then is it he's denying it on the other end,
Just say you want to go on the date, say
it loud, say it proud, and then go enjoy your
date and come back and mingle.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, I'm with you. It's paradise, Like, why have we
gotten so committed so early? But I'm only saying that
he is loyal to one because he's saying he's lid
to one. If your words tell somebody, hey, I'm into
this and we've turned a corner and we've got it
and it's I'm debting it or whatever that word was
that he used.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Oh my god, it's so cringe and so gross all
the things that he says. Oh, he said, I want
my woman to be on ten toes like my my
family the women and my family are on ten toes.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
I'm like, what is that like?
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Standing tin toes down on business on business?
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Yeah, standing standing, still standing strong. Okay, Well, I don't know.
He's just like so critical of Kat already that I'm
just like gross.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
But Alicia makes an amazing decision. She sees all this
playing out, and we don't get to see all the
conversations that had. But we have to give Alicia credit here.
She doesn't choose to ask Dale on this date because
it seems of a conversation she had with Kat that
made her go, hey, I'm going to not step on
the toes of Kat here. Even though I might want to,
(36:21):
I fully want to, I'm not going to do it.
It does. I have to give her credit for the
decision she made to bring Sean on this date. And
this date does turn sensual fast. It feels like the
two of them are drinking kakau leaves or whatever it was.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
There was a lot of tongue action in those kisses.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
They liked each other, they're into each other.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Well, so we thought, until he comes back, sorry my alarm,
So we thought until she comes back from the date,
and she's like, well, actually, like Dale's still number one.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
She entered on a classy note, Like anyone in that position,
you don't want to up all too many feathers pun
intended right like. I think she made the right move.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
I think so too, But I think there's a lot
of story to be told, a lot.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
To come, a lot to come. For the preview of
the rest of the season, we don't see a rose
ceremony this episode. We kind of get the build up
to the rose ceremony. It does to my shock to
everybody listening. It is my shock that no other Golden
dudes came to the beach. It has to be a
casting issue. If they had one dude sitting in that
(37:32):
resort waiting for his turn, they would have sent him
to the beach this week. They didn't. I don't think
we see any other Golden men come to the beach
for the rest of the season. I think after this
week we get the whole money thing happening, and no
new or later rivals happen. We have our lockdown cast.
If we gave our predictions, take a few minutes based
(37:53):
on the previews, we saw, the couples that exist, the
scenarios that are happening. I want you to name your
top three couples that you think could make it to
the end of the season from what you know right now.
Golden and Youngin's.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Including this is tough man, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
I asked it.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
I feel like Jess and Spenser will make it to
the end. Will but I think they will. I think
that Paradise is all about testing that connection, and I
think their connection is strong and it seems like they
can make it to the end. I think Gary will
(38:34):
be there. I just can't tell who he's going to
be there with.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Leslie is my guess.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Okay, Leslie, He's still on to her. And then I
would say third couple. It's up in the air for
me at this point. Like what we'll see who comes in,
you know, over the next few weeks. But there might
be a couple that we haven't seen yet.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
I don't think anybody new comes in.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
I don't do you think we're done with entrances. I
think you might be right, because it seems as if
it's shifting from like the are you finding people to
now we're going into the competitive zone and we're going
to test those relationships.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
I don't know there's any new people That's why I
think this money thing completely changes Paradise.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
That would make sense because I feel like this is
a really big pieces. This has never been done.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Yeah, so it has to be Andrew and Alex. I
mean I think, yeah, if we had to pick a
third couple there, I think we'd all agree Andrew and
Alex would be there. So right now we have Spencer
and Jesse, Gary and Leslie or somebody, Nancy somebody else,
and then we have Andrew and Alex, which this next week,
(39:41):
my prediction is Nancy. Nancy doesn't go home.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Nancy can't go home. Everybody wants Nancy.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Yeah. I think Faith, April and the Natasha.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
Natasha, Yeah, I think those.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Three go home, leaving us with the Golden Cast. And
then when it comes to women, Jill's already left. Who
would who else would go?
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Who else would go?
Speaker 4 (40:12):
Well?
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Alla say is like with Kathy, Oh, Kathy might go
home because Keith might want to give his roast to
Nancy because obviously he really wanted that. Now I understand
that Nancy and Kathy are such good friends that Nancy
didn't want to go there. As far as the Youngins, though,
I think, like did Jill, it's gonna be between Kat
(40:33):
since since Jill left, is gonna be between Cat and
Alicia on who leaves?
Speaker 3 (40:39):
I think so yeah, Well, I mean, but who's Sean
giving it to?
Speaker 5 (40:44):
Go?
Speaker 4 (40:46):
Yeah, Sean is probably gonna give his rose to Alisha?
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Are we even out? Are we getting even out? Oh? Leah, Leah?
But then she.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Has no connection? Maybe Jonathan, but.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
Like, oh but Jonathan has the rose?
Speaker 4 (41:03):
Right?
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (41:04):
So yeah, Now I think Leo will probably exit stage left.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
Yeah, I think Leea's out. It's going to be an
interesting ending to this season. Still a lot to be scene.
We're into it now, Let's be clear. Even though I'm
not like completely down with the edits and the transformation
of Paradise, I am enjoying watching it, and I can't
always say that for uh Paradise. I'm enjoying watching it.
(41:32):
I'm enjoying watching the dynamics form out. I wish there
was more Golden men. I want to see the Goldens
stick around for the competitions, whatever they may be. They
can't be physically, like too physical, because you're asking. I mean,
kim bal had a heart attack just thinking about the
rose ceremony. Like goodness, gracious, Like we got to keep
these people in order.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
Oh, you know what I really wanted. I wanted one
of the really hot guys to be there for the Goldens.
You know, like, let's be honest, these are all sweet guys,
but we wanted a hot one who Kelsey's dad or Jonathan.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
Kelsey's dad's in relationships launched.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
No Jonathan's on a relationship anymore.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
Yeah, maybe that was part of the problem and why
we're so limited with the Goldens.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Yeah, we've rooted for these guys to find love and
they found it and they were.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Like come on, yeah, come on, you had to wait
to have the paradise before we leave. My final thought is,
if you guys remember when Jeremy was confiding in Brian
with the mic SCENEA blah blah. Brian was like gun
ho on revealing this news to Bailey, He was like,
I don't feel right keeping this, And then in the teaser,
(42:43):
Brian says he could turn Paradise upside down. Could it
be that he's hinting at the conversation with Jeremy Because
Jeremy and Bailey are getting further and further in and
with the money prize, Jeremy is trying to make that
relationship go other than he would have ever intended.
Speaker 4 (43:02):
Yeah, I think that's it. Yeah, Brian is gonna mess
everything up for those two.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Interesting. Well, it would be even further interesting if they
truly are in on vacation together right now.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Yeah, here's an interesting thing that just happened in Bachelor Nation. No,
Sam McKinney just posted a picture of him holding Ali
Joe from this season of Paradise closely at dinner and
sharing a bunch of picture of them kissing. It looks like.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
They've hard launched.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
They are hard launching a relationship.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
Look at that.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
We love a hard launch.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
We love a hard lunch from Bachelor Nation.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Oh, the caption says, sometimes you got to do it
your damn self.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Yeah, good for him, it's Tajwan. Thank you for coming on.
We appreciate you again. Make sure you go to the
Instagram page if you are somebody looking for any type
of housing needs in the Denver area. You are a
Bachelor in Paradise legend. As much as I would love
(44:13):
to say I wish you were there, I don't think
it's the same with you. In air conditioning, I love
the heat, you love a meltdown, We love a meult.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Down, a smelt.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
It keeps us going here. It's how we've kept a
job for ten years. This has been the almost this podcast.
This has been day nine of Paradise meeting. Some of
these couples have been dating for a week, which is awesome,
really really great. We'll be back next episode breaking it
all down. In between then we are heading out to
an almost famous event starting tomorrow morning. Ashley is holding
(44:51):
the bench down and I will be talking to a
few of your favorite bench down. No, you'll be sitting
on the bench doing nothing. You were you were absolutely
worthless right now. I will be flying uh to make
sure this happens. Uh. So stay tuned for all the
great content coming your way. Until next time, I've been Ben.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
I've been Ashley, and She's been Tjan.
