Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Welcome back
to the almost Famous OG podcast. I am your host,
Bob Geinny here and.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Tonight, I am so excited. We're doing a Bachelor in
Paradise recap. We have one of my favorite people on
the show with me who's gonna be talking through this.
And she lived at my friends a Golden in Paradise.
It's been amazing, our dear friend Kathy Sports.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Hi Kathy, Hey, Bob, how are you tonight?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
I am so good man.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'll tell you what I loved watching you in this episode,
you and my boy Gonzo, and I really enjoyed watching
you guys, and it was interesting to me. And I'm
so excited to get your take on this because I
was watching you guys as you know, I love you
because you're my friends, right, but also I'm watching you
guys as kind of like the voice of reason at times,
(00:49):
and then honestly sitting in silence, like almost in shock
and awe of what you were viewing going on. I mean,
this was kind of a major turning point for Paradise.
It went from all fun and games and kind of
happy go lucky puppy dogs and ice cream. And then
this episode we started seeing some strategicy. We started seeing
(01:10):
some people kind of burying themselves, which wasn't great.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
For a few people would take a good old fashioned
politic and yeah, the.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Parliament, Paradise, Parliament, whatever it was. But how was it
for you?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I mean, you're living it obviously, so you to watch
it back. What was the difference between what you were
feeling in that moment and what you're feeling watching it
back today.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Well, honestly, it feels very much the same. I was
a deer in the headlight watching all this politicking going on,
and people would come in and say, who do you
want to go home? What do you think? And I
just kept thinking, We've got two strands here. We have
love and we have money, and we mixed the two,
(01:51):
it gets really interesting. So for me, I didn't really
want to be part of the politicking. I just some
of those young girls are really good friends. So Keith
and I were really trying to stay out of the fray.
But it certainly did feel different because now people are
(02:12):
just fessing up, I'm no relationship, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
For the money. And I said I have to clear
my name here.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I had said in a previous episode that was televised
a couple of episodes ago, that I would never take
money from the kids, that I would self eliminate if.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
It came to that. But I was having so much fun.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Doing the challenges and getting so for me, it was
just this is so fun and interesting to watch.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Sure, I can only imagine, and you know what, when
it's fifty thousand dollars, you know, maybe not.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
But when it's five hundred thousand dollars, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
I'm taking money from everybody, right, I mean, at that
point it's interesting. If it came down to it me
or somebody else, I want the money too.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I have to be honest, you know, call me, call
me Teresa. I am I have. I have a lot
of life left to live. But I'm not like these
young kids getting life started. And so I really honestly
say it tonight and said it during Paradise. I was
not taking money from kids just and Keith. Keith is
(03:17):
a great guy, and he and I both agreed on that.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, well you could tell you guys, I think you know.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
One of the things that I saw in tonight's episode,
again largely probably because it's you know, because I love
you guys, but watching the show and I was, I
felt like you were just sort of letting people air
their stuff out. You guys weren't even really commenting on everything.
I know some of that's probably editing as well, but
you guys were, you know, we're sort of listening and
kind of letting everybody say their pieces, and they're pulling
you aside. You're like, okay, and you'll take the walk
(03:45):
with them, and that had to be kind of interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
It was.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
It was interesting.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
And watching it back tonight, Oh really, Brian, let's and Parsa,
let's get rid of Kathy and Keith?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Really?
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yeah, yeah, so that those things are always interesting. But
I knew here's the thing. There's there were two brains
going on during that episode. One was who's in love
and who's a strong couple and who's good strong a
couple regardless, and then like Jonathan full of you know,
(04:16):
fest up, I'm here for the money and I don't
want to go home, and I were.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Just there having fun because we love the young ones.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
So you know, yeah, no, I loved it. I loved
watching you guys kind of open the episode too. First
of all, I loved, you know, the one thing about Paradise.
With this many seasons under its belt, it definitely did
a revamp, but it went back to kind of the
old intros, which were kind of like the cheesy threes
company style thing, which I love, you know, I always
found that kind of kitchen and fun for the show.
(04:44):
But it opens, we see people eating breakfast, we see
people working out of course, which are two standards, and
then we see you guys, basically you and Keith going
through and you're kind of, you know, talking through everybody
and giving your feelings.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
You know, Jonathan Lea not a couple just like Gus.
You know, what do we think of that? You know?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
How is this thing going to be all about people
who are in love? It became interesting to hear Brian
basically kind of realizing that his head was on a
chopping block and he might well go home tonight. And
then Hannah comes out, she greets everybody, she's on the
walkie talkie and she's basically saying, Okay, this is it
the next relationship task. Treasure hunk, right, and basically one's
(05:25):
gonna hunt for the treasure, which is the partner in
a giant treasure chest. And then the other person has
to basically listen to the walkie talkie commands and find
specific things that will help unlock this chest.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Now, how is that for you?
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Because you made a really funny comment, by the way,
You're like, next time I'm in a treasure chest, if
I got some cocktails, I'll do this, but I'm not
doing this otherwise.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
It was really easy.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
A lot of the couples were saying, you know, are
you better giving directions? Keith just looked at me and said,
there is no way. I'm claustrophobic. I said, not that
I loved it, but you know, going in the trunk.
But that literally is how we made the decision to go.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, I would Canyon and I would have had an
easy choice.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
She's super claustophobic, so it had been I'd been in
the box.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Yeah, and remember I had a nice bottle of alcohol
thrown at me.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
See there, there you go.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
I was taken care of.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Amen. Nice work. That's what you can do when you're
a golden in Paradise. You can make some demands.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
But it seemed like the anti was really kind of
raised in a couple of ways. Obviously, one with this
more challenging task, right, and then two they basically say, like, listen,
two women are going home tonight, right, which means two
couples are going home. And it's almost like a line
is drawn in the sand, because if you heard it once,
you heard it one hundred times in the episode. You know, well,
do we let's keep the real couples here, right, Let's
(06:46):
send home the platonic couples now that we don't love them,
they're great, but you know, that's what this show is
all about. And it is interesting because you're right, it
kind of hearkens back to like for Love or Money
and some other reality shows like that, where it was
kind of like, you know, even Joe Millionaire right where
it was like, hey, you come down to the end,
you get a big chunk of dough, you know, and
if you also find love good onya right, So it
(07:08):
was interesting and you said it. You were like, you
know what, I get it. I want to see the
strong couples survive. And Keith was like, I think the
strong couples, but you.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Kind of called it.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
You were like, well, however, what is the right way
to play this game at this point? You know, like
you were kind of seeing the forest of the trees,
which I love your insight.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
I just felt like the honesty started to prevail, you know,
people saying what do we have to do to get
the money? And not everybody, by the way, was saying
let's keep the strong couples. Some people were saying let's
get rid of the strong couples because their competition and
what there was. I like their competition because they're in luck,
(07:48):
or the competition because they're going to win the challenges,
which is it?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
You know?
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yeah, yeah, And I thought that was interesting.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
I mean Sean right away, you know, I think I
think he thought he was pretty savvy first, and then
when he kind of got the realization that he had
been outed, it was it was bad news for him,
but he was he was basically trying to play the
old Survivor game right with with some people who didn't
have any interest in playing it, and so when he
was talking to them, he thought he was kind of
(08:15):
talking to people that were agreeing with him. He just
was not reading the room at all, right, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
And I will tell you I truly Keith and I
thought we were going home. I had on my white
long satin dress and I was going to get engaged
in not and so well, I'm going home tonight. So
when they called my name, I was shocked. Yeah, I
really thought we were out. But I will say, someone's
(08:42):
like us, and they didn't see us as I say,
they knew Keith and I are good friends. We never put,
you know, pretended to be anything else, and we still don't.
We're still good friends. However, However, some people saw that
as a good thing, that we weren't a strong couple,
And in my head, I'm thinking, it doesn't matter if
(09:03):
you're a strong couple.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
What matters is are you good at the games?
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
And are you good at seeing through what's going on?
I mean, you know, like like you guys obviously were
you know, you read right through the whole Sean thing.
I felt bad for Alicia, uh, you know, in that
moment when she was kind of like realizing that, you know.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
But but she was kind of on board at first.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
You know, and so she kind of took when we
followed out tonight watching the episode, right, but but it
was like she obviously wasn't on board for that much
of the hardcore politicking.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
You could tell that, and.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
That is exactly what she was on board with the
strategy to win, but Sean took it to a whole
another level.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Just yeah, and he kind of got he's the reason, right,
I mean, and then and then it's kind of interesting,
like we're going to go out with integrity, and it's like,
you know, I've I've often thought this when people do
this on The Bachelor and the Bachelrette, they know they're
not getting a rose, right, They'll be like, hold on,
you know, Chris, hold on, uh, you know, Jesse, I'm
out of here.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
You know, it's oh, okay, you already know you're going home.
Brow you know. So it's like, is it really that
much of a move of integrity? You know? I don't
think so.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Well, I think honestly, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
I was just there, I mean, if being funny, I mean,
I honestly think Alicia. I don't think Sean thought they
were going home. I think Alicia knew they were, and
I think she really wanted to go out with integrity.
Sean I think was surprised.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, yeah, he didn't seem like, he didn't seem like it,
you know, But let's go back with it. So Jessin
Spencer win the challenge, right, and They're a really cute couple, man.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
I mean, I think they're really coming along.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
They I'm telling you, from the minute I stepped onto Paradise,
those two what you're seeing as who they are. They
are just in love with each other. They're cute, They're
just adorable. I mean I would sit in her room
and she would just go on and on about, you know,
how adorable he is and how much she's grown to
like him.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
It's just I love I love seeing young people fall
in love.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yeah, it is pretty sweet to watch at home too.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
So during that game, while you guys are playing it,
obviously you've got the walkie talkie, you and Keith, who
our great friends, are clearly having some trouble communicating. Uh,
You're like, hold the button down longer. He's like, I
can't hold it any longer. It's I can't hold any harder.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
For God's sake to be there.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
There were some issues with the walkie talkies. So yeah,
it wasn't it Keith and Kathy issue. The other people
were having trouble. Some of them worked better than others.
But I had said to Keith, I'm going to speak
very slowly because I've had kids and walkie talkies on
a ski mountain and against garbled very quickly. So for me,
(11:44):
who taught, I'm from Boston, I speak really, I had
to think about annunciation and I did, and God loved Keith.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
I knew we were screwed.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
When if you if you saw the episode where I
like the numbers that he's supposed to get.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Yeah, yeah, like I.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Transposed him or something. I don't remember what he said,
and he was I made EHD. I was like, oh
my god, that's what I said. Don't send a man
to do a woman's job.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
That was so good.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
And I remember one of the like one of the
signs said one, the other one said one, So it's like,
how can you mix up those first two? Right?
Speaker 1 (12:16):
It's one one?
Speaker 2 (12:17):
But yeah, no, it was. It was funny to watch.
And you guys have such a great bantern. I love
your friendship. I always have.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
And he is a very very very kind man. I
you know, to say that he's a girl dad. He
is just a really kind man and very empathetic.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
He really he is.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
He is.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
He's a he's a fun dude to party with, but
then he can also get really sensitive and yeah, he's
he's a sweetheart of a guy.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I really love him.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
So then round four comes up, right, we get through
the first couple of rounds. We got Bailey and Jeremy
versus Spencer and Jess. Yeah, neck and neck between these
two teams. Spencer and Jess get done first, they complete
the challenge. Bailey and Jeremy finished the challenge as well.
There's behind them, so it's kind of like they both
actually finished a challenge, right, which is pretty good. Says
(13:05):
a lot about them and their relationships.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
We got one key, Yeah, I'm going to go with
that's really good.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then back of things at that night,
So Jesse points out that the challenge was all about communication, right,
and obviously that's an important part of relationships. And I
didn't let I didn't let Canyon watch that part because
I didn't want her to, you know, to.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Come at me for anything. I'm just kidding. But yeah,
the winners were Spencer and Jess.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
They went a date and it's basically their first first date.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah right, yes, And what I liked.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Was she makes the statement that I, I, you know,
at the end, and I'm spoiling everybody's, you know, opportunity
to watch the show. But at the end when she says,
you know, I hope this is both of our last
first dates we ever have.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
That's pretty That was pretty strong man. That was nice.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
You know.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
I think when remember I've been around a few decades,
when you beat a couple that you just look at
them and you look at their eyes. And from the
get go, from the minute I got there, they didn't
have to say anything. They really just just.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Have this spark.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
And when the girls, when we would be sitting in
the bedroom, Shoe was just so cute about talking about them.
And you know, I don't you heard it at the
end of the night, I don't know whether I can
move in with him yet. And in my head, I
didn't say it out loud. I'm thinking, yeah, money, you'll
be moving.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
It's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, yeah, Well, you know it's funny.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I mean, yeah, we'll get to that because I want
to talk about a couple of things at the end
of the episode that I thought were interesting. But you
know Leah, and Leah thinks that she and Jonathan are
on the chopping block, which, to be honest, they kind
of were right. I mean, especially if you were listening
to what Sean was saying to everybody, you know, you
talk to jus and you were pretty upfront, you like,
I really want to stay. You know, I really am
having a great time. I want to stick around.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
You know, a lot of people were being a little
more kind of hidden about their motivations, but you were
just you were just putting it out there and I
and I thought that was actually pretty great because you
were leading by example. Right in my opinion, knowing you
as I do, I felt like you were kind of
like saying, you know, hey, I want to stay, So
I'm just going to tell everyone I'd like to stay.
I mean, is that is that what you were thinking
going into that?
Speaker 4 (15:10):
I you know, I don't know whether the world will
believe it or not, but honestly, I was having so
much fun. I did want to stay. But I wanted
to stay to see the love connections and the couples
growing in the relationship. And I mean, who wouldn't want
to stay at a beach in Costa Rica, right? I mean,
I just I loved watching love and everything else developed
(15:36):
on that show. I loved it. I loved I personally
loved the challenges. I want the next challenge was I
loved the Keith. I mean it was like and if
you're if you're if you're really being honest. The couples
wanted to stay, who were in love, The couples wanted
to stay who wanted money? And there was also an intersection.
(15:58):
Some who were in love wanted money, some just wanted love,
some just wanted money.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Yeah, and some were just having so much damn fun
they just didn't want to go home, and that would
be Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
I was gonna say, yeah, how is the.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Food, by the way, I mean you know, I was wondering,
like it was the food pretty goose. I've been to
Costa Rica now twice and both times I just loved
the food.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Well, so I've been three times different parts, and I
was really worried that I was going to be eating
plotinus beans and rites every night. Yeah, every nut. And
I have to say the food was great. The resort
was fabulous.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
It was great. I mean I loved it.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
I have nothing to compare it to, but thank you
for air conditioning and no bugs.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yeah that was the new thing, right, I mean that
was the new thing.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Although it looks like and you know, coming episodes we
might be seeing some bugs.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Well there are some. I'm not going to spoke for anyone,
but I found out that you know, bugs, bats. You
saw the episode where I went nuts.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
But I'm scared out the bats, but I hate him too.
I'm bigger than they are. Bats.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah, yeah, bats scared the hell out of me. And
you can't squish them like you try, and they have
like a vertebrae that doesn't break, so they just like
come bounce them back.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
It's crazy. I tried using a tennis racket.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
I never want to get one again.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
We'll have to strike that because we don't want Peter
getting mad at us. But yeah, I've taken I've taken
a tennis racket to a bat more than once. So
and let's just say it didn't hurt him at all.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
But that was fine.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
So we got okay where we're at the show.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Now we've got Alicia and Sean, you know, unallownge share
talk about the upcoming vote. Shawn's thinking that Shawn saying
the might have a target on his back. His dad's
in politics, which he thinks gives him a leg up,
and he wants to form an alliance. The chatter amongst
the group is that Parisa is now saying Brian's her boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yeah, and Bailey wants to keep other people.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Around that are actual in love, like her and Jeremy
and you know whatever. And then Sean basically goes around
to talk to anyone who I think will talk to
him about aligning with him, right, and Brian starts hearing
the chatter, which he seemed remarkably close to your guy's table.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Like did you got did no one just see him there?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Liked it?
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Was it just that we didn't see him because he's
it looked like he was like two feet away.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
I don't think there was anyone really too worried about
who was listening to whom about because.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
It was like yeah, yeah, you know, and he's like,
hey man, but I will say And one thing I
thought was actually kind of cool was as much as
Sean kind of was coming off poorly in this episode,
when Brian confronted him, he owned it. He's like, yeah,
I think you guys are one of the stronger couples
and you're a threat to me and I.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Need you to go home. You know. I was like, wow, Okay,
I wasn't expecting that.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
And I would say Sean and Alicia are one of
the couples that at this point in the in the
show are definitely forming a a love connection and by god,
give me some cash.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah, yeah, they wanted both things right.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
One of the things which I loved and I'm sure
you probably enjoyed this too, was as Brian's kind of
confronting him. Yeah, he's owned in some of it, I guess,
not all of it. But then then he says, no, man,
I was even talking about you, and it says three
minutes earlier, and he's like, yeah, we got to get
Brian and priests the hell out of here.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
And then they go back and say four minutes earlier.
Not a good look.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
No, I did not reflect well, Bob.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
There are some people that handled the truth carelessly in this.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yes, there are. That's a really nice way to put it. So,
I mean, it was crazy you even say in.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
There more than once you're like, I can't figure out
what the hell Sean's doing at this point. The game
has changed, you did say, And this is where I was.
I was saying what I liked. Keith was saying he
thinks the couple in love should stay. You're saying, you
know what, I disagree with you. I think the couple
that plays the game the best should stay. And you
know that is if you really think about it. Yes,
Bachelor in Paradise in the past has always been a
(20:02):
show where you're hopeful for a love connection, right, but
there's still there's still some stuff going on that isn't
so above ward. But in this one, by introducing the money,
they definitely have taken this show to a new place.
And I got to be honest, I think I agree
with you. I think once once you put the money
out there, it's a different game. Yes, love, you're hoping
(20:23):
love wins, right, But I remember, and Heather, you might
need to help me on this one. But I remember
back in the day when they first did they did
the Bachelor Pad and they introduced money on that show, right,
And so this was prior to Bachelor in Paradise. Bachelor
Pad went away, I think after two or three seasons,
but there was a season where the couple gets to
(20:45):
the end, and I don't know this.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Might happen in Bachelor in Paradise. I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
The couple gets to the end and they have to
choose the love or the money, and the way that
it went was if you both choose love, you get love. Right,
if you both choose money, you get money. And if
one chooses love and one chooses money, the one who
wins the money wins it. And some guy and that's
why I can't remember who this was, but this guy
(21:12):
basically flips his sign over and it's money. The girl
flips over and it's love, and he takes the money.
And it wasn't this much. It wasn't five hundred thousand,
it wasn't that much. But whatever it was, it was.
I remember it being scandalous, like crazy scandalous. And I
can start seeing, you know, you start seeing cracks in
the armor right when you're getting to this stage in
(21:34):
the game and people are starting to get there if
they are in love and they both choose love, and
they think, man, we're gonna both be in love and
come off the show and maybe not have any money
because I don't know what the plot twist is yet.
Then it's like interesting, how much do we love each
other or do we you know, or she in love
with me, I'm not with her, or vice versa exactly.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
And I agree with you, Bob.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Once you introduce money into the to the mix, you're
going to have you're going to have that that discourse.
It becomes a strategy of figuring out what's the best strategy,
right the love do we say screw the money? And
that's what I was trying to say to Keith that
I feel like people who are in love are going
(22:17):
to be whether they go off that night or at
the end of the show, if they're in love, they're
walking away in love. And to me, that's a gift.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
It is.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yeah, and if you can walk away not in love
with five hundred K, that's also a gift of a day.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yeah, that's a gift for shore.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Well.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
I think Keith and I were just we weren't arguing
with each other. We were just sort of showing the
two sides right to the decision.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
And I think the show is that's what we're seeing,
where you know, Jonathan is saying I want to stay.
He is no interest romantic interest in Leah, but give
me some cash, right Yeah?
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Okay, So it was Nick Peterson and Ree and the
difference was you either said keep the money or share
the money. She said share, he said keep.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Wow. I thought it was Lover Money.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
That was a different show obviously, So this one was
you know, keep your share. So yeah, So I mean,
I'm wondering given the fact that you know, Bachelor in
Paradise replaced Bachelor Pad, right, and for the longest time
it didn't have that twist. Now they're bringing that twist back.
I wonder if that if that comes with it, I wonder,
I mean, who knows.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
It might be you and Keith standing up there and
you could tell me but don't do it. Yet, don't
do it.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I could not tell a lie. So I'm just gonna
zip it.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
There you go. So let me ask you this.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
You and Keith are sitting there having this debate, which
I know wasn't an argument, But what were you thinking
in that moment? Oh, we're we're not as aligned on
this topic as I thought we would be.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
And did that matter to you?
Speaker 4 (23:47):
It didn't matter to me because one of the things
I love about Keith he's very insightful, and he's very respectful,
and he has a great sense of humor. So there
was no argument, and it was sort of like, oh, really,
because here's what I think, and it was just a discourse.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
It was not an argument.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
So I think he appreciated my point of view, and
I appreciated his but I think we both thought that
we were going home that night, and I remember Keith
saying to me at some point, you know, there's a
chance we might stay here tonight because Keith were chatting
with the guys, the young guys, and on Rose night,
(24:29):
I mean, and so, I mean, I loved them all.
I cannot tell you how much I love these people
there there. Did you see my Dale with his arm
around me? I was like, yes, how do I get
rid of Cap? That's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yeah, I mean it was interesting, you know, it's it's
so fun.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
It's so fun that it's you two left too, Like
of all the Goldens, I feel like I was I'm
closest with the two of you.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
So it was fun to see you.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Guys still there, still, you know, still mixing it up
and being I think in a lot of ways, you know,
obviously being peers with these with these with these younger people,
but also I feel like they kind of you could
tell they really look up to you guys, they respect
you guys, and so I think there there's that kind
of kindness as well, like it's not such a dog
eat dog world. And you know, you said something at
(25:18):
the tail end of the episode, which I thought was
great because you said, you said, hey, now we just
need to win a challenge next week, which I.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Think could be foreshadowing. I'm just saying so.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
So yeah, so we got a couple of things going
on there on a tantric date, right, Spencer and Jess
looking very connected.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
That almost went rated r we were we were at
PG thirteen at that moment. It kind of took a turn.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
But they are start they are start talking about they
start talking about a little strategy as well. You know,
like Spencer says, I think we're the strongest couple. Jess says,
the money could kickstart our future together.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
You know, way did you hear Jess?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
So then you know, put the last two and pull
them back in and say whoa, whoa, whoa, we're.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Here for love.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yes, she's like that, we've are aready found what we
came here for, right, which I thought was a really
sweet thing to say.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
And Spencer said, I'm falling in love with you, and
I've fallen in love with you, and Jess says the
same back that she wanted to say at first. So
it is very sweet to see that you know, Jade
and Tanner had become friends of mine over the years,
and they fell in love on Bachelor in Paradise, and
it was always so sweet for me to know, Like
I didn't know them before I went to the wedding.
They kind of had to invite me, which I felt
(26:25):
bad for them, But I had so much fun once
I was there, and now I consider that my friends.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
But it's nice to watch people have a love story
that you can really get behind.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Yeah, that, Bob, is why I wanted to stay. I'm
not kidding.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
I love Remember I have kids that are just slightly
older than these than these, and so it was just, Yes,
it felt great. Keith and I talked about that, how
it felt great that they came to us for advice
and asked us. That really felt great. But just to
watch love growing, it was just I loved it. It
(26:59):
was so so warm. It warmed my heart.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
It was sweet and you could tell you could tell
that the producers liked them too, right, because the producers
were showing all of that for us.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yeah, I was gonna say. The other thing that would
have warmed my heart more.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Is if you know mister mister Wright sauntered in rode
in on a horse, swam up from the ocean.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Any of those great.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Any one of these, I guess right, we still could
have a James Bond moment where he's coming through the
through the ocean, the rolling waves.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
So we get back to the show.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Cast members are now talking strategy, and I think Sean
kind of almost forced everyone's hand on this because he
was being so open about it that I feel like
people were almost like, are we supposed to be doing this? Like?
Because and I think I would feel that way too,
Like if I wasn't thinking that way and all of
a sudden, this one dude is and I'm hearing my
name in the mix, I'd probably be like, hey, So
(27:49):
we see a montage of the girls talking strategy and
then uh, you know, of course.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Which we knew. I knew was going to come.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
At least I thought that Andrew would tip off Spencer
that Sean's wants to wants him and us out and
because their strongest couple, right, And then Alicia walks in
on Alex and Bailey whispering about her and Sean, and
this really upsets her, right, And so that that kind
of is the kickstart of that evening. Part of the
show where the cocktail party starts, Wells kind of recaps,
(28:17):
you know, what's going on. Obviously, he's very happy to
get rid of four people because he's just sick of
sling in so many cottails.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
And I loved it what he said about Keith's.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Let's get Gonzo lot of here, man, this dude's breaking
my bar tab.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Keith aka Gonzo may have been the guy to close
the barsing.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
I just say, that's not a surprise to me. I've
hung out with that guy. I get it sewn and Spencer.
So Sean tools Spencer for a chat. He basically realizes
that he is he is made a miscalculation right, So
he tells him about his Parliament of Paradise and how
he thinks Spencer and Jess are his main competition.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Wanted to be honest.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Spencer says he's gonna make Sean feel comfortable and then
he's gonna slit his throat in this game, which I
thought was pretty good, uh, parsaid Hannah. Priesa tells Hannah
that if her and Brian are pinned against each other,
they'll just leave Paradise together, which you know I would
hope that would be the case, because even though you know,
I get it, like Brian isn't everybody's favorite at this moment,
but I still feel like they kind of have something there,
(29:18):
you know, they seem to have something kind of special.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
And you would know better.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Than me, obviously, But you know, the Jeremy and Brian
chat with some Matthia music going that was great, editing
the Godfather, the Godfather, He's like afraid, Oh yeah, he's definitely.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
I'm waiting for the dead horse to show up at
the PLoP in the bed.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah, exactly. So he swims with the he swims with
the fishes or whatever. Jeremy says, He'll forgive but not forget.
He recognizes.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
It's good that Brian apologized, and I think that's cool too.
I mean, Brian was probably doing a little strategy as
well in that moment, but he did own it. But
you know, it's also kind of one of those things
too where you gotta wonder, like I get, you know,
I get that that Brian, you know, maybe should have
been a little more tac full about how yet process situation.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
But if the dude really said.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
That, and and and you know, wouldn't you want to
know that if you were the woman dating him.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Are we talking about what Brian told Bailey. Yeah, oh,
I'm with Wells on this one hundred percent. And yeah
it caused me some you know, some hate mail. But
I just I'm with I'm with Wells, I'm with the team.
I'm with team Brian. I think he was trying to
do a favor for Bailey, but I also think Bailey,
(30:32):
as I said earlier, I don't think Bailey was really
interested in receiving for me.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Yeah. Yeah, she didn't seem to. I mean, we saw
that he said it in last week's episode. You know,
I actually thought Brian kind of redeemed himself a little
bit by doing what I thought was the right thing,
especially given how you know it played out for him
earlier in the season when when Prisa showed up and
he was all of a sudden kind of like.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
The bad guy. But but yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Mean it's kind of interesting. You know, he told the
truth and now he's apologizing for telling the truth.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
So, you know, I don't know. I mean, at the
end of the day, I'm going to chalk.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
It up to being young and dumb.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
I don't know, Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Yeah, So Alicia is upset the conversations are happening behind
her back. She's really emotional about it, questioning her friendships,
upset with Sean about not just relaxing on this whole thing,
and he didn't listen to her, tells him that people
are questioning if Sean even cares about her, and she
informs Sean that Kat is not his friend. So this
becomes a thing now where Kat, you know, basically Cat
(31:45):
and Dale chat. They seem to be in a really
good spot. We'd be my boyfriend. He's saying, you know, yes,
I love me some cat, which.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
I guess is a yes.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
But he does say we are now I'm officially her boyfriend.
So he does say that up to the camera.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Bob, I thought exactly this same thing.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
I thought, well, you know, as an English major, he
did not you say the word yes, And then afterwards
he said, but we're boyfriend and girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
I thought it was a very sweet moment.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
I mean, I love me some pancakes, but it doesn't
mean I love you know you know what I'm saying, So.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah, I agree with you. So then so Alicia finally
pools the women.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yeah, they sit down her friend the close friend group
of hers, I should say, and she basically confronts them
about talking behind their back. They say they weren't plotting,
they're worried about how Sean is acting. I thought it
was actually a pretty above board conversation from what I
could tell. Right, Alex wants the plutonic couples to go
(32:39):
priests says they're all on the same page. Clearly that's
not how the vote went down, but I think it
was because Sean again still grinding, you know, just grinding
the room.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
I'm sitting here, you know, you know when you go
to the amusement park and you're hitting the ball to
make the horse go up the thing, I'm in my head,
I'm going keep going strawn because my horse is just
going right exactly.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
You're like, dude, keep burying yourself. I mean, I think
if he would have stopped when Alicia told him to stop,
there may have been a chance for redemption, right, But
then his ego gets in the way, and he's like
cat cat indicated that we're not like, if anything, he
should have kept his mouth shut till the end of
the vote, you know, if nothing else. But he goes
confronts her. She, you know, basically is like, that's it.
(33:24):
I'm not gonna be disrespected anymore. She gets up and
goes to tell Dale, Dale, I don't think most of
the dudes there should be messing with Dale.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Right, Dale's not happy you do with Dale. Yeah, he's
a little bit of a beast.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
And he gets up, he walks over, He's like, you're done, stop,
you know, and and basically, you know, I think that
was pretty uh noble of him to do that, and
to go over there and say that, you know, and
and basically just tell him, like, hey, dude, quit picking
on my girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Let me let me just say one thing about Dale.
He was and I had he was the oldest of
the young crowd. Yes, and he was the oldest of
the old crowd. And he and I just forged a
great friendship. And I will say my feelings on Dale.
I'm not only is the easy on the eyes, but
that guy has real leadership. He gives you that aura
(34:16):
of I'm a leader, I'm thinking things through. And I
really think the other young people really listen to him.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
I really do think yeah, yeah, I mean, and it
could be a nice redemption arc for him, right, because
I mean, when he was you know, Claire's choice on
the Bachelorette. He didn't look so great after when they
were breaking up, right, that was kind of a rough
time for him publicly, And so you know, this.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Could be this could be a different view of Dale,
you know. I mean, he might have just not handled
that situation so well. I don't know, but you know,
so anyway, Jesse commes and says, Okay, guys, cocktail party's over.
It's time to cast the votes.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
And I thought it was a weird vote voting thing
at first, that you guys are passing around the iPad
and then and I was like, man, that's gonna be
strange because I wonder if people can like see who
the person voted for previously.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
But no, huh, you couldn't say we were sitting strategically
so that you voted and then you went up and
handed just as the show showed, you got up and
handed the iPad to.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
The next the next perton.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah, so you were told who to hand it to you, Like, okay, Kathy,
you vote, you handed to Keith or whatever.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Yes, I knew I was handing it too, and but
we didn't. To be clear, no one knew.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
So let me just say my feelings were tonight when
I saw a couple of those girls voting against me.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yeah, well clearly, you know you know what though, and
we all know how editing works. You know, that could
have been that. It couldn't even been next week. I mean,
I don't know if that you're right, I feel better. Yeah, hey,
believe me. When I was a bachelor and like he
made out with thirty six women, I'm like, there's not
even thirty six women on the show.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
And I was wearing different ties and everything that was
it wasn't the same roaskit ceremony night.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
But you don't think about that stuff, right, So, so
Jess is the first name it's called. She of course
gives her rose to Spencer, and as we mentioned, says,
I hope this is the last first date that either
of us ever have.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Then Alex of course gives her rose to Andrew. Then
Bailey gives her rose to Jeremy. No surprises so far, right,
Kat gives her rose to Dale. There still no surprises.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Then Kathy gets the call and you come up and
you give her rose to Keith. And this is when
people start unraveling, right, because in their minds it was
Kathy and Leah are going home tonight because they're the
blatonic couples. And and in fact, you know, Brian and
(36:42):
Parisa clearly hadn't won over everyone the way that they
thought they had, right, But she's kind of all upset.
And then all of a sudden, here comes the announcement
of Alicia basically saying that she and Sean came to
find love, they found it. They're out of here. But
Sean just still can't get out of his own way,
can't keep his pie hole shut. And he basically said,
(37:02):
you just voted off the strongest couple, and Dale, I
love you, but Kat, don't call me crying after this
one ends, which I thought, you know, I get it.
In his mind, he thought it was this great, you know,
walk off thing. But when you're saying that you're you're
you're gonna play this game with integrity and dada, you
can't take pot shots on the way out the door.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Hold on, I think Alicia is the one that said
we're leaving with integrity.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yes she did, that's true.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
The royal we. I didn't hear it out of Sean.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
The purjoritatively, Yes, of course, the royal wi.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
She was speaking for both of them, and couldn't you know,
once again, couldn't get him to.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Listen uh to her wisdom because she you know, I
just have to.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Say one thing that when we were talking about who
to vote off, because you know, the control party, it's
it's really like you know, uh, speed dating, except you're voting.
You know, it's talking about who you're putting off. I
kept saying to them, They like, oh, I can't vote
off Parisa.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
She's my friend.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
And I finally looked at them and said, hey, friends,
you are going to be voting off your friends this
right next week, just newsflash, it's coming, and they look
it's coming.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
They looked at me like, huh.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Yeah, well, I mean there again, right, the voice of
reason there again. It's like, guys, it doesn't matter whether
it's this week or next week. It's happening because otherwise,
what are you going to vote yourself off? No, so,
at one point or another, you're voting one of your
friends off of this show, right, So good good advice.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
In the moment, they don't you know, no one wants
to think about from the moment. They want to think
love will triumph all There'll be five hundred thousand for
every couple, We're all going to walk away Kumbaya arman
ar Nope.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Not nope.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Trust me when I tell you the show ain't that generous.
There's still I'm still pretty convinced there's going to be
some type of loophole that five hundred thousand. I'm still
not all the way there yet. So then you know,
this is a ten this moment. Dale takes one for
the team, right and decides he's going to break wind
to get everyone to laugh, and then blames it on
(39:07):
old Gonza, our boy.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Gonza's like, I.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
Didn't I didn't do it to be fair to Dale,
you know anything. I mean, it's a bodily function and
Keith could handle it. You know, it was a little white.
But that was before the last rose.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Right, yes, yes, it was. The last rose was a
big surprise, wasn't it, Because you've still got another potential
couple that is technically a couple. And Leah gives a
rose to Julias the call, which she's shocked by, and
then gives her rose to Jonathan. Now do you think
there's any chance that had Alicia and Sean not walked off.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
That they would have gotten a rose?
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Because I know Jesse said, you know, they weren't getting
the rows anyway, but I would say that too if
I was hosting, even if it wasn't true. Do you
think there was any chance that they might have been
safe and they just and Sean.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Not a chance. Okay, that's my thought. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
I didn't see how people voted, but I was not
surprised when when they went. You know, I was surprised
that Alicia said, we're going to self eliminate, but I
was not surprised that they I don't think they would
have gotten the rose. As I said, I was surprised
that I was still there because remember it's now down
to the young people and one golden couple. And yes,
(40:31):
they love us, they want to spend time with us,
they want our opinions, and they don't want us to win,
and that's right. So I was surprised. But what surprised
me more was Jonathan when he when when Leon gets
the rose and gives it to Jonathan that he just
straight up says, great, you know, let's go. We got
(40:52):
to start being strategizing.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
How we're going to win.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
It's like he is underscoring the fact that he has
no romantic interest in layout zippity right.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Lay a crime. She wants to be married to wants.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
He did throw a liplock on her, though he did
throw a liplock who knows?
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Fair enough, who knows?
Speaker 4 (41:13):
But she sure spent a lot of time crying, saying
she wished she found her guy. And Jonathan is busy
talking about five hundred thousand dollars. And by the way,
should Jonathan win five hundred thousand dollars?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
You know he owes half of the dude, don't you.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Well, I would say to you, by uh, what's it
April for keeping her around? Yeah, yeah, I'd say half
of it to you too, and then of course half
the government.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
So he'll he'll be uh, you know, he might make
a couple like forty.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Dollars ninety five.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
You never know.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
So the previous for next week get interesting, right. You
see people with fly swatters freaking out. We know that
this is Kat's biggest fear. Maybe they just think she's
been spent too composed this whole time. They want to
see her go bonkers. Spencer feels like he doesn't you
can trust. And then we see Spencer and Jess talking
about moving in and Jess is like, I don't know
if we're on the same page with that, and she
seems all of a sudden, I mean, this week, I
(42:07):
hope it's the last first date we ever have. Next week,
you know, I'm never I don't think we're going to
move in. It's like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Well, I mean, to be fair, you can fall in
love with someone, but that doesn't mean the next step,
the very next step is hey, you moving in? I mean, right,
we can have a few months in between, right, So
I think I think, I think when you're young and
paradise is a condensed romance. That so I'm I'm guessing
(42:36):
there's a little bit coming and going I'm in love.
Whoa this is going fast? Boy, I'm really in love?
Speaker 3 (42:41):
Whoa this?
Speaker 2 (42:42):
Yeah, I'm gonna pump the brakes. I need to make
sure this is real. What are we like when the
cameras are off? I mean, that's how I felt when
I was the Bachelor. To be honest, I remember thinking
I was like, I mean, okay, yeah, but I'm not
taking a helicopter into a volcano on a date in Detroit.
It just doesn't happen, you know. So this is where
you actually say which I which? I love you say? Hey,
you know what, I know. I'm on borrow time now right,
(43:05):
my time is coming. I hope to win the challenge
next week so I can stick around a little bit longer.
And then we see the armor crack on Keith and
in the previous and he's like, I'm really homesick. I
want to go home. Yeah, And he is such a dad, right,
He's such a girl dad, and he loves being the
girl dad. And and uh, he's starting he's starting to
miss his family.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
Talks about that. I mean, he is close with his
his daughters.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yeah, he loves them to death. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
And that's a wonderful train about him.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Oh heck yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
I can only imagine though at this point. I mean,
you're you're thinking, Okay, we gotta play smart, we got
to stick around. And he's like, hey, I'm ready to
go home.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
I'm homesick. So that's got to create an interesting conversation
for next week.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I would think I would think, yeah, well you would know.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
I'm excited to see it.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
You're a smart man.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
I don't know about that. I just watch a lot
of TV.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
That's probably more than anything, but No, it was a
great episode. I feel like, and I hate to say
it this way because it doesn't it's not gonna it's
not gonna resonate, it's not gonna ring true.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
Because I've loved all the episodes so far, this.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Was my the first episode that I felt sincerely invested
in from a different place, like watching it today. I
got to watch it today earlier, and man, I couldn't
get enough of it, you know, Like I was like, what.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Is going on? It's like, this guy is gonna just
sell it's self distruct He's just oh my god, Like
I always wanted to jump in there and smack him.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Around a little bit and be like, Okay, first of all,
let's get a little rasor going right, Let's trim that
down a little bit. Secondly, you're not that savvy, bro.
People are watching you like they know what you're doing.
You know.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
I was worried about that.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
I will say to you, I have been known to
have an opinion or two about one or two things
in my life, and I was really proud of myself
that for the most part, I really tried to just
lay low and say, just just speak the obvious, like
you will be voting against your friends that and you
need to lay off your you're you know, you're going
(45:05):
at this a little too hard.
Speaker 3 (45:06):
I think you're turning people against you. I did say
that to him.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
So, yeah, well I think that was in the episode.
I think, I think, if I'm not mistaken, at least
I felt like it was. But yeah, I felt I
felt like you and Keith the one scene in particular,
when she had already asked him stop and he pulls
the two of you over, and it was almost like
the two of you were looking at him like, oh, buddy,
It's almost like you were looking at someone who was like, no,
I didn't have any drinks tonight, and you're like mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Okay, but you know, and I was like watching you guys, thinking.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
We see a line of empty glasses right behind you.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
And you're like, I doesn't us in a drink?
Speaker 2 (45:40):
You know, okay, all right, buddy, But no, I thought
I thought, you guys, you know, really did kind of
have that that wisdom that someone like that kid needed
to hear.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
And who knows, you know, he might he might be
watching that episode now.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
And being like, man, I really miscalculated while I was
doing there, or I like, he also might have watched
the episode and just doubled out, like, you know, these
people don't what they're doing, you know.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
You know, I don't know. I don't know they guy
you do, but I don't know.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
I could see it going either way. Frankly, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (46:09):
That's the thing about being on the show and watching
it back. I was like, oh my god, you know
you have a whole perspective when you're watching it back.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Well, you know, let me ask you this.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
So in in the show, uh and now watching it back,
do you think Alicia and Sean will make it on
the outside, Like, do you think they walked off that show?
We thought we came here to find love, and we
found it. We're out, And I mean, do you think
they can keep it together?
Speaker 4 (46:38):
I think they have a good shot. They're both from Tampa,
so you know, it's not like getting on an airplane
and flying to California from New York City every weekend.
So they they have a chance because they upon leaving,
they're going back to their lives and hey, I'm free
for dinner. It's not a two hour drive, you know,
(46:58):
it's right, So I think, yeah, they the proximity maybe
gives them a good chance, and they.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Look great together.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
They do well.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
I think she would look pretty great with anybody actually,
and he's he's a pretty good looking guy too.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
So yeah, listen, I just sat there marveling at the
handsome men and the beautiful young ladies on the show.
Just they're they're all not only are they nice, but
they're beautiful. So it just they're great people. They're great.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
This cast Golden's included all very beautiful people, and I
think I think you're right. I think it was one
of those things, like it was definitely it seemed to
me like one of those casts where you know, wow,
I mean, you know, you you meet these people and
you just see the sparks and you're like, of course,
you know, look at these two, you know, like I mean,
every single one of them, you know, looks like they're
(47:47):
you know, coming off the cover of GQ together.
Speaker 4 (47:49):
So it's do you think that people always like to question, oh,
you know, it's a joke, it's paradise, they're not together,
or they're not gonna this won't last. I think sometimes
magic happens.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
I do too.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
I mean, hey, there's I think I'm going to say
this out loud. I think there as many marriages from
Paradise as there are from the regular season.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
I think that's probably right.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
I know there are. Oh, I shouldn't say, I know.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
I'm more confident saying that there are as many marriages
on Paradise than there are from The Bachelor. Not sure
about the Bachelrette and Bachelor combined though, But I would say.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
I'm probably right on that. Heather fact check. But yeah,
I would definitely think that there's something to it.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
And it also could be that you know that that
is largely in part due to the fact that they've
all kind of been through this process before and now
you're on the other side of it and you're willing
to kind of give it another chance and maybe not
be as attached to the outcome at the start, right,
and also having eight people to look at instead of
(48:56):
one and you're like, oh, well, that dude's definitely more
my speed than that guy or whatever. You know.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
For me, it was a great thrill getting to hand
out roses.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Yeah, it's fun, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
I want just to be able to hand out a rose.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
Like I won Uh, Yeah, it's it's It is an
amazing place to be It is an amazing Uh, it's
just an amazing situation to be in. And I think
bringing in the game people, you're gonna have people just
like love on one side, money on the other side.
(49:31):
You're gonna have people who love bringing in the money
and the gaming aspect, and people who want to keep
it purely love.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Yeah. I I gotta be honest.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
I'm I was torn at the beginning, and I'm really
happy about the money aspect now because.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
I, uh, I don't know why. I find it more.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Uh, there's a little more like, a little more cunning,
a little more you know, strategy involved, I guess in
that regard. But also because I like seeing the fact
that we might see someone walk off this thing with money,
and you know, who knows.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
It could be It could be Jonathan.
Speaker 4 (50:07):
You know, here's the thing, it's we're doubling down here.
You we could see couples, a couple, two, three couples
walk off in love, and we might see a totally
different couple walk off with.
Speaker 3 (50:19):
Five hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
That would be awesome.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
How for a teaser?
Speaker 2 (50:23):
Oh my god, but you have four winners technically, right,
that'd be pretty amazing.
Speaker 1 (50:27):
Well, well, Kathy. I love you, my friend.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
Thank you for always making time for me, and thanks
for coming on almost famous to OG's and giving us
a first hand recap of your your most recent Bachelor
in Paradise episode.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
You were spectacular on the show.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
You and Gonzo also such a such a cute, loving friendship.
You know, I like teasing you guys all the time,
but I do love you both and so glad that
you guys found each other in friendship.
Speaker 4 (50:50):
We love you too, and I this was great. I
thoroughly enjoyed doing this. Give your gorgeous wife a hunt
for me.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
I will, I definitely will can. Thank you so much
again for joining us, and hopefully we get to do
this again soon.
Speaker 3 (51:03):
I would love to anytime.
