Mel Owens’ season of The Golden Bachelor is almost upon us, so it’s time to lock in some predictions before he hands out the first roses.
Ben and Ashley are putting together their first Bachelor bracket to predict who will go to hometowns, who makes it to the fantasy suite and beyond in Mel’s season!

They have one for every season bracket. We have filled
it out so I have week to week who will
be eliminated. But today we'll just talk about the big
ones like your final four is your fantasy this week week?

Now, Ben, well, it's very nice to have your bracket
out because you can see everything so clearly with this app.
It's really really nice. Anyway, So Ben, I was thinking
we could like take this seriously and see, you know,
who gets further, who gets more points along the way,
more accurate predictions. We could do it financial. Our producer

mentioned that, but then she also said possible you can
give something to each other. The winner obviously gets a
gift from the loser. So Ben, you know what I'd want.

one of them from contention because of that. No offense
and no you know, just just as for compatibility reasoning.

when I was just doing first impressions. She's fifty eight,
so to me, because the cutoff is normally sixty. I
think they put her in here for a reason. I

think that they think they're that compatible that they needed
her to get in at fifty eight. Because the only
other person, like I said last week, you weren't here
with me though, was Kelsey's dad. He was the only
one in his fifties during last season, and he made
it pretty far, and he made it far, but we
know that they wanted him because of multiple reasons. Being
Kelsey's dad was definitely a big one. Maya also is like,

she's a college sports consultant from Malabou, California. They legitimately
live within like an hour or hour and a half
from each other. Coasty people, West Coast people, and she's
looking for somebody who loves sports, someone who's athletic, fun

and flirty, and they both have kids, and I just
think this is possibly the one, or at least the
show saw her as a good possibility as being the one.
Then I chose Carol because Carol's similar vibes. Carol is

a family manager for baseball. She's sixty three, she has
like a youthful vibe. She's got three daughters. She went
back to work becoming the full time manager for her
pro athlete nephew, who is LA Dodgers first baseman Freddy Freeman.

She also returned to college recently and is a thriving
in her late student life.

And I'm like, Okay, this just makes sense.

Again, California girl who is really into sports with kids.

Then that was your final two? Yeah, my final two
is Nicole and Mileen. I just think based on what
we know so far, I feel like they both will
be wow factors for him. They're both gorgeous. All these
women are really pretty.

I will say I agree that those two are to
me just based on these two pictures, like the Hoddest.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, well they look like they're like twenty five years old. Yeah,
And so I think they just stand out to me
because I I mean, I think Maya is a great choice.
I do see what you're doing there. I like your philosophy.
I'm going just based on because I know nothing else
about the coming yet other than the pictures and knowing
his comments and knowing where I think his focus lies.

I hope he wants to get married from this show.
I think this dude is out for a good time
so far from what I know, And these two look
like two people that are also out for a good time.
So that's why I'm going with them.

if I were to take that approach, I would have
gone with the same people. My winner is Maya because
again I think that the casting saw them two so
much together that they said, oh, you're fifty eight, It's okay,

My winner is Nicole. My winner is Nicole. I think again,
based on everything I've said, I also just get the
feeling when I see her that she, I mean, here's
what's going to happen, going to go home on night one.
I'm putting so much on my weight in this, it's
gonna be over for me off to night one. I
honestly just kind of feel like she's the safe bet

from like, personally, I think, if I'm going to have
kind of a horse to ride through this competition, I
want somebody that I believe is going to at least
be there till the final four. And I think, based
on everything I know, about him and her. I think
she's like one of the sure bets for Final four,
and so I'm going to ride it to the championship

hoping that I'm right.

So I don't want that storyline to like be like
peppered so much throughout the entire thing, Like make it
be a night one thing is kind of what we
were talking about. But I also feel like it is

of like cringe. So I don't know, it might be
hard for me to get on board, but we'll see.

and flirty, and they both have kids, and I just
think this is possibly the one, or at least the
show saw her as a good possibility as being the one.
Then I chose Carol because Carol's similar vibes. Carol is
(10:48):
a family manager for baseball. She's sixty three, she has
like a youthful vibe. She's got three daughters. She went
back to work becoming the full time manager for her
pro athlete nephew, who is LA Dodgers first baseman Freddy Freeman.
(11:13):
She also returned to college recently and is a thriving
in her late student life.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
And I'm like, Okay, this just makes sense.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Again, California girl who is really into sports with kids.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Then that was your final two? Yeah, my final two
is Nicole and Mileen. I just think based on what
we know so far, I feel like they both will
be wow factors for him. They're both gorgeous. All these
women are really pretty.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
I will say I agree that those two are to
me just based on these two pictures, like the Hoddest.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, well they look like they're like twenty five years old. Yeah,
And so I think they just stand out to me
because I I mean, I think Maya is a great choice.
I do see what you're doing there. I like your philosophy.
I'm going just based on because I know nothing else
about the coming yet other than the pictures and knowing
his comments and knowing where I think his focus lies.
(12:16):
I hope he wants to get married from this show.
I think this dude is out for a good time
so far from what I know, And these two look
like two people that are also out for a good time.
So that's why I'm going with them.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Okay, yeah, yeah, So you took a different approach, and
if I were to take that approach, I would have
gone with the same people. My winner is Maya because
again I think that the casting saw them two so
much together that they said, oh, you're fifty eight, It's okay,
come on over, Ben.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
My winner is Nicole. My winner is Nicole. I think again,
based on everything I've said, I also just get the
feeling when I see her that she, I mean, here's
what's going to happen, going to go home on night one.
I'm putting so much on my weight in this, it's
gonna be over for me off to night one. I
honestly just kind of feel like she's the safe bet
(13:09):
from like, personally, I think, if I'm going to have
kind of a horse to ride through this competition, I
want somebody that I believe is going to at least
be there till the final four. And I think, based
on everything I know, about him and her. I think
she's like one of the sure bets for Final four,
and so I'm going to ride it to the championship
(13:30):
hoping that I'm right.
Speaker 3 (13:32):

I never made an app like an app. I never
made a bracket before today, and it's pretty fun.

Yeah, I enjoy it it. We've always judged people completely
unfairly based on not knowing them in their pictures. That's
just been a thing we've always done. But this kind
of makes me judge them even more because I'm trying
to win here, and so it's not just like fun
and games. I'm going to say this now. I want

to be put on the record for it. I think
Carla is a dark horse that we need to recognize.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Oh yeah, I have her going a couple of weeks in.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
She's a former model.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
This is kind of fun because you do get to
learn a little bit about them. They have their bios
in here, or they have like brief descriptions on the
girls here with their photos. I think it'll make it
watching the first episode and like following along easier.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, so you fill out something like this and uh, Carly,
yeah she could.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Get far Ashley prediction. Do you think this is going
to be a good season?
Speaker 3 (14:45):
See, Heather and I broke this down a little bit
last week with headlines, because one of our headlines was
that Mel said that when he got to the Mansion
night one, he had to face a whole bunch of
flak from the women who are like, so I'm too
old for you, Like what do you think about?
Speaker 2 (15:00):
You know?
Speaker 3 (15:04):
So I don't want that storyline to like be like
peppered so much throughout the entire thing, Like make it
be a night one thing is kind of what we
were talking about. But I also feel like it is
something that I'm not going to be able to shake
out of my head for a little while, just because, like,
I'm just not sure that I like him. We know
(15:25):
so little about him, but what we know is kind
of like cringe. So I don't know, it might be
hard for me to get on board, but we'll see.
We again know nothing about him, so maybe he'll be
great on TV.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
We don't know enough yet. Let's give him the benefit
of doubt because we are going to be watching this season.

remember them. I am excited for again. Go down and
