Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. All Right,
Hi everybody, this is Trista.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I am filling in for Ben and Ashley with some
breaking news exciting Bachelor in Paradise. They just released the
first wave cast of Bachelor in Paradise, and I have
producer Maddie here to talk to me about our thoughts
(00:28):
on this cast, reveal kind of who we're shipping, who
we're liking, who maybe we're missing, and some things along
the way as well.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
So welcome Maddie.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Hi, Hi, everybody. I'm so excited to get into the
first batch of Paradise.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yes, so exciting. I can't wait, can't wait for the
season to air.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
I can't wait to.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Hear more about more people coming because I feel like
it's not always just first wave, you know. I would
love to have Ashley on because she's, you know, expert
all things Bachelor in Paradise to know if there's like
some statistics on how many relationships come from just the
(01:15):
first wave and how many relationships come from like the
second third, you know, more and more as we go.
I'm sure we could go on to Bachelor data on
their Instagram account, and I'm sure they have all this information.
But yeah, I'm really excited that we have just a
sneak peek of who's gonna be there and their vibe
kind of walking in. It's kind of a whole new vibe,
(01:39):
I would say. You know, it's very like the music
in the trailer was very island, and not that that's
any different, but our producer Heather pointed out to me
that in this trailer they're not using this song almost Paradise,
which they have used consistently I feel like from the
(02:02):
beginning of Bachelor in Paradise, right, So it's kind of
a new vibe.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Right totally. Do you think that we're going to get
a new theme song or are they just sort of
teasing us for the big reveal in the first episode
that they're going to drop the og theme song again.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I don't know. It's a good question.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
I feel like it's very It was very and yes,
it was always on the same beach, right, So this
is different because now it's in Costa Rica, so you know,
it is a different location, but they always did it
on the beach or in the you know, the resort,
(02:40):
the Bachelor in Paradise resort in Mexico, and and and
so it's new. They're walking into new, a new place,
and it just, I don't know, it looks more like
high definition. I'm sure it was high definition you know before,
but it just has i don't know, kind of more sophisticated.
(03:00):
I feel like the intros back in the day were
very always very silly, like someone was, you know, naked
and covering themselves with the palm.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Leaf or you know, whatever it was.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
All all of the intros are most of them, I'd
say ninety nine percent of them were very like silly
like Three's Company, you know, and if you know what
that is, you weren't even born when Three's Company was around.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well, I'm silly and the cheesy, and I hope that
they bring back those intros. I think that we're sensing
more of that, like you said, polished professional vibe, but
let's bring back the fun. I'm excited to see what
this crew has for us. I hope it's entertaining. Like
we said, we've only gotten the first batch and that
(03:46):
did not include any of the Goldens yet, So I'm
excited to see who they bring down. I hope there's
some surprises.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yes, they're always there will be for sure, there will
be surprises. Who knows when they'll come, but there will
for sure be surprises. So let's go through the cast
and let y'all in on who is actually going to be.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Part of this first wave. So let's start it off.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
We've got three girls from Grant season, which was the
most recent recent season, and that's Alex with an E.
I love that she spells her name with an E.
At the end, Bailey, who I loved from the season,
and Zoe and Alex was the one for those out
there who might not know them by name, who had
(04:33):
the date in the mall which they were playing on
the piano. It was really actually really cute. I love
her too. And Bailey is showing up to the beach.
She said her tagline was I'm trading the bob for
a bikini. And she's got these long braids in her hair.
She looks phenomenal. I love the braids. And then Zoe
(04:56):
is the one that, Oh, in the beginning, he was
the one who was interrupting people. She caused a little
bit of drama in the beginning with the interruptions or
multiple interruptions. And she was the one also that they
I think they first announced her on the after the
(05:16):
final rows for Grant.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
So what do you think about those three so far?
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Well, I have to say my favorite from Grant season
was Alex. I love that her tagline plays into her
intro to Grant. I left my no drama lama at home.
I'm also a baker the idea of taglines in general
as a Housewives fan, I have to say some of
the rest of the casts are not my favorite. But
we can get into that taglines.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
You mean some of the rest of the cat yes,
got it, y yep.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
I think some of them were trying a little bit
too hard to be funny, and some of them, yeah,
missed the mark a little bit. Just in general, it
seemed like they were just listing what they were looking
for on the beach instead of really making it at themselves.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I don't know that we can say that they came
up with these on their own.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
I agree. I think, actually, yeah, rule.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
So let's not like, you know, blame them for maybe
a bad, bad tagline, but I think that, yeah, the
ones that we like, I think are going to stand
out more. It's the same as when they did the
intros on the beach on previous seasons. There are some
that I was like, oh my gosh, that was so
(06:31):
cute and so like memorable, and then there were some
that I was just like, really, that was kind of boring,
you know. So there are definitely going to be taglines
that we like and taglines that we don't. So I'm
not a real Housewife viewer. I mean I've seen it before,
but not consistently. So this is a thing that the
Housewives do every season.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
This is a thing and they base it on the
events of the most recent seasons. They change every season,
which is kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Don't know why they're choosing to bring it to Paradise
because it's not part of the regular Bachelor show, but
I think it's fun. I think they're trying something different,
and like I said, I think some of them, I
think some of them worked. Maybe we can get into
which were our favorites and not favorites once we get
through the rest of the cast.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yeah, I do want to say, we said Alex and Bailey's,
but Zoe's is here to Here's to shooting your shot again,
which I think is a little catchy. I mean, she
did talk about how she was shooting her shot when
she did those interruptions on Grant season, so that factors in.
But okay, so moving on from gen trans season, We've
(07:44):
got a lot of guys. We've got Brian, Hakeem, Ricky,
Jeremy Spencer, Sam m and Jonathan Who.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I mean, he was pretty much a shoe in.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
I feel like anyone who watches the show probably could
guess that he was going to show up. He was
definitely one of the ones that I thought would be
on the show. Who were your favorites from this batch?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Ooh, that's tough. I've actually met Jonathan, have you? I
have at Ben's baby shower back in December. He was hilarious.
He has the perfect personality for it. He's so personable,
he's so charming. I think he's going to be very
popular on the Beach. I have to say I'm also
a Hakeem fan, probably because of his infamous reaction pases
(08:33):
at the finality the women. Ye know, he's always like
in shock right. I was also a big Spencer fan
during the seventh season. So those three I hope go
really far and I hope they find someone on the beach.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Okay, so taglines, We've got Brian, who said hey, hey, hey,
I'm trying to fallen love here, but I think it
was He's got a big accent, right, yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Like if we could hear him say.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, true story, because I'm not gonna try. We've got
Hakeem's tagline is I'm here for sparks, the kisses, and
someone who gets my humor. So that's one of the ones.
I feel like they totally could have. They could have
honed in on those, like visuals like the big eyes,
(09:31):
like saying something like his big eyes or his reactions
or something like that instead of I'm here for sparks,
the kisses, and someone who gets my humor, because aren't
we all?
Speaker 3 (09:42):
I love him, and I think that that was really generic.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yes true story?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Oh yes, Actually maybe that is hinting at his season
on Bachelor in Paradise, Like maybe there are some sparks
going on for him in Paradise and some kisses and
we'll get to see some of his humors, so that'll
be fun. Let's see who else was from that season. Jonathan.
(10:09):
His tagline is I'm just a medium king looking for
big love. Okay, tell me what the medium king is
because I don't remember that from previous season.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Okay, he refers to himself as a medium king because
he's not the tallest. He's not sure, but he's not
super tall. I would say he got it five seven,
five eight. So maybe he's looking for well, actually, I
don't want to say that he's looking for someone who's
more petite than he is.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
No, I mean maybe maybe he isn't, because he does
say looking for big love, so maybe that means a
taller woman who knows. Okay, I love that. That's so
cute and that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
And does he play up that medium king thing on
his social does that something that he's kind of known for? Okay, yes, okay,
we've also got Brian came, Ricky, Jeremy and Spencer.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Ricky's is ola.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Oh he said his tagline in Spanish, like, it's very
clear that he is fluent in Spanish, and I don't
know a woman out there who doesn't like a man
who can speak another language.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
So I think that'll be fun.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
I hope he's fluent in Spanish and that he didn't. Yeah, true,
because they're so true.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
He could have and then there would be no connection
to why he said what he said. But hey, either
way and then it either way it's cute, and either
way he sounds good saying it, so I like it. Uh, Spencer,
no more shallow waters. I'm ready to get deep. Okay,
talk to me about the shallow waters thing. Where does
(11:53):
that come from?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Okay? I don't know off the top of my head either,
but I'm wondering if they're also hinting at his season
of paradise. Maybe he has a date where they go swimming,
they have a little kiss. I'm thinking that that's what
they could be referring to here.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Maybe he's referring to shallow waters like he didn't get
to hang out as long and get as deep into
a relationship with Jen as he would have liked. Maybe
that's it too, Who knows, but we'll find out, of course.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Okay, So.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
There are some wild cards, and this one has been discussed,
I know on Almost Famous with Ben and Ashley Dale,
Claire Crawley's ex fiance, who you know, I think has
kind of laid low. I think since they broke up.
(12:48):
Maybe he hasn't, and maybe I just I'm not in
the know, but I feel like he's kind of laid low.
So the fact that he's coming back is really really
I think going to make people emotional in one way
or another, like they're either going to be really excited
to see him, or maybe they're gonna have the opposite reaction.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
How are you feeling about Dale?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
I was shocked to see his name on the cast announcement.
I really was, you know. I think it's interesting. He's
a little bit older than most of the other contestants.
We'll have to see if he's really able to gel
with the group. I think it would be really interesting.
Also if he's prepared to get engaged right now. You know,
heage declare very fast, and I wonder if he's ready
(13:37):
for another quick turnaround like that. I also have a
really crazy theory that I want to put out there.
Yes please, if Dale could possibly be thinking about being
the next Bachelor and he's going on Paradise to sort
of reintroduce himself to Bachelor Nation and test the waters
(13:58):
and put himself out there X I all move. I
don't know. I'm really excited to see what happens though,
and I do have some ideas of who I think
he could be paired well with.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
So we'll definitely get into that.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
But I want to go back to what you just said,
and that is that he is thinking that he could
position himself to be the next Bachelor. I think that
is so smart, and I think there is definitely some
possible validity to that. But yes, I feel like he's
been kind of under the radar for so long. And
(14:36):
you know, the breakup after he and Claire left the
show engaged was definitely dramatic, you know, one of the
most dramatic things to happen in Bachelor Land, but I
think it was It was really dramatic. So and I
(14:57):
don't think people looked very highly on I know that
if you're friends with Claire, which I am, I definitely
was kind of siding with her. And yeah, I think
I'm wondering what she will have to say about it. Actually,
do you know if she's had anything to say about
(15:18):
this yet. Maybe we need to have her on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
We should ask her what her thoughts are. Maybe once
it starts airing and we start to see what he's
doing down on the beach, she can come and way, yeah,
but I don't think she said yeah publicly, so that
would be.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Okay an idea to ask her.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yeah, Yeah, we need to have her on the podcast. Okay,
let's see we've got oh. I wanted to get into
his tagline because he said something about football, and I'm
just going to leave it at that. It was about
football and nothing about how he had been on Bachelorette before,
(15:57):
that he had been engaged before, Like there was nothing
like that, and I feel like they could have like
poked fun at at that at himself. I think that's
always a really attractive feature when someone has some humor
about or you know, kind of admits to things that
(16:19):
they've maybe done poorly in the past or maybe not
made the best decisions in regard to So I feel
like they lost an opportunity there to have that tag nine.
Not to say that the tagline is everything, Like obviously
he'll be on the beach having lots of conversations, probably
with lots of women or maybe just one or two.
(16:40):
We'll have to see, but hopefully he'll get into you know,
what happened with him and Claire and take some ownership
of things that he's done.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Totally, and I think they really threw it back with
this tagline. They're almost giving him a clean slate. Yeah,
a little bit of acknowledgment that you see it's a
major veteran from Bachelor Nation.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Yeah, totally. Oh this is a good one. Bachelor Season
twenty seven alum and Bachelor in Paradise alum Cat who
(17:26):
actually got engaged, didn't she last season of Bachelor in
Paradise John Henry?
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
So that is a huge one for me, considering she
was engaged and is coming back to a beach, not
the beach that she got engaged on, but to a
beach on Bachelor in Paradise to try again. And I
love that her tagline taps into that. She says, I'm back.
You know what they say, cats have nine lives. I
(17:57):
love that tagline. That might be one of my favorites.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
I thought it was so and it's funny, and she
takes then it herself that she tried to try again.
You know, I had really mixed feelings about Cat last season.
It's hard. She was the main character of Paradise, I
would argue, but her time was really tumultuous. She also
wasn't the nicest and so I'm really interested to see
(18:24):
if she comes back this season as the villain or
if she's gonna play it more low key since she's
now an alum and she's gonna be one of the
more seasoned members of this cast.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yes, I totally agree, And I have to go back
to the tagline for one second and say that the
end of it, she it went like a you know,
a cat with his claws out, and I was like, Oh,
that's perfect. Like the little audio right after she says
her tagline was actually perfect to like kind of get
(18:58):
into what you were talking about. That she wasn't maybe
the nicest on the last season of Bachelor in Paradise.
So I just hope that there's some kind of redemption
and maybe she learned a little bit from watching herself
on Bachelor in Paradise last time.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
We'll see if she comes with the claws out this
time exactly.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Let's see, we've got from season seventeen justin Glaize, We've
got from Joey's season Jess and Lexi, who I love.
We're going to come back to her in just a second.
We've also got Kyle Howard, who was who Katie Thurston
sent home on week two, and I think that covers
(19:42):
all of the cast members. I will say Lexi was
one of my favorites in the beginning of Joey's season,
and when I saw the cast pictures, I am gonna
put it out there now. I have no idea if
this will happen. I'm usually pretty bad at this, but
(20:04):
I would ship Lexi and Sam M from jen Trans season.
I just feel like they would look they just based
on looks period. I think they're both gorgeous people and
just based on looks. I don't know too much about
them and their personalities, but I would say, just based
(20:27):
on looks, I would ship Lexi and Sam and then Alex.
We said it already Alex and Jonathan. Who else was
I think? Who were Off the top of your head,
who are you?
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Who are you shipping?
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Okay? Wow? Sam M? Are we talking about the same
Sam M with the tattoo sleeves?
Speaker 1 (20:45):
I think so? But wait, tell me remind.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Me of such a hot take Trista. He I was
going to pick him for villain. I wasn't even going
to give him a ship, but what physically very attractive objectively, however,
his behavior on John's season, I'm not going to give
(21:10):
him a ship.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Okay, wait, will you remind me of his behavior? Tell
me and the rest of the viewers if they can't
remember like me because they don't have a brain like me.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Okay, I need to actually look up his line.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, I'll say it. Okay, So Sam's tagline for this season.
Sam's is I'm a Southern boy with a shy streak.
So there's not much there. Like, that's pretty short. So
tell me what he was known for. I'm sure I'll
remember it once you say it. But I feel like
at this point, I've been around for twenty three years.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
How many seasons?
Speaker 2 (21:51):
How many years have gone by since two thousand and two? Yeah,
twenty three years.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
So it's been a while, and.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
There's so many people on this show. I just cannot
keep them all straight. So please, Maddie, remind me of
Sam and his wrongdoings on GEN season.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Samm was just really known for being a little bit
full of himself, so got it he I would say
this was a tagline. His line from GEN season was
keeping the main thing the main thing, and the main
thing was himself. And then after GEN season ended, he
(22:30):
announced that he was starting his own podcast.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Oh interesting, Well, we don't need to get into that,
but that is so he may be one of the
ones that people say are not there for the right reasons.
Is this what we're going, Is this what we're assuming, So.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
I think we might be able to assign him the
villain role.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
I'm sorry, Hey, don't be sorry. This is your opinion,
and you never know.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Like I feel like so many times on Paradise and
even on Bachelor or Bachelorette, people become villains who I
never would have guessed would have become a villain. And
some people who I think are going to be villains villains,
like get.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
That redemption story.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
So we never know, you know, we'll have to wait
and see what actually happens. But I think that's interesting.
Another thing is that Kat was a little bit of
a villain last Bachelor in Paradise, So maybe we ship
the villains together, you know what.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
I don't hate that. Let's see what happens there. I
think they could hit it off. They have similar personalities.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
I got to.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
See Lexi though, actually go on a date with Dale.
I think that. I don't know if you remember, but
from Joey's season, Lexi is very ready to get her
married life started. She's spoken openly about being scared of
having reproductive about how she wants to try as soon
as possible and be a young mom. I think that
(23:59):
that could be a great pairing. They're not that far
apart in age, and they seem like they could be
on the same level of maturity in terms of actually
beginning a serious relationship after Paradise.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
I love that ship. I actually have to say something
really funny.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
So I was looking at I was looking for the
trailer on our almost famous Instagram page, and I came
across when the caster was revealed, and I looked at
the comments, and someone put, honestly, I would like to
ship anyone who was there for clout. We all missed
(24:36):
the seasons past that had people there who genuinely wanted
a connection. And someone said, I don't think shipping means
what you think it means. So for all those people
who are maybe listening, shipping means putting them together in
a relationship in your in your like dreamland of who
(24:56):
you want to have a relationship out of this show.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yes, thank you for clarifying, Yes, we're not shipping them
off the beach.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
No, but that would actually be kind of funny to
actually ship them and maybe put them and ship together
and leave.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
There was a fan boat that you could sort of
kick people off the beach. Oh every week.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Oh that's a brilliant idea.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Kind of like in Hunger Games when they send the
like the drones or helicopters and.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
They drop like supplies.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
You could actually the opposite, like the fans could all
chime in.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
And have someone like your time is up, so so sorry.
That is hysterical.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
I love that that A Big Brother does that too,
where they where they have the fans kind of chime
in and like win different things along the season.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
They should do that.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
They should have like fan interaction, like not physically there
because it tapes obviously, but they should do that somehow.
I don't know how they could do that, but I
would love to see a little fan interaction.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
So I'm also getting to the point. Oh Love Island
does that with fan interaction.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Oh, I love that. I think that's genius. Okay.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
So Dale said in a statement why he decided to
go on Paradise, and I think it's interesting. He said,
I wanted to give up control and just see what
was out there. I'm really head down with travel and
working projects and things like that, but I definitely realized
that there's more out there. And sometimes you have to
(26:55):
remove yourself from certain situations to get more clarity on that.
So I'm interested to know what kind of clarity he
wants and if he's truly looking for a relationship. And
of course this is taken completely out of context, so
(27:18):
I haven't read the entire interview and everything that he said,
but I wonder if he spoke at man maybe, you know,
if he spoke to actually wanting to walk away from
Paradise with a relationship or he just wanted to see
what was out there.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
I think he's keeping it intentionally vague. Ah. You know.
His follow up was that he said, I think the
biggest thing now is that I feel really clear about
what I want. But he doesn't saying what he wants to. Uh,
he's not letting us know what he wants. He might know,
but we don't know. And he says, yeah, I'm not
only going to take a different approach, and he thinks
(27:58):
the framework and the setup of this show is a
lot different.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Very interesting, So I wonder, and that might be him
leaving us hanging, or might be like the actual marketing
team producers who are leaving us hanging because they want
us all to tune in and find out what that
actually means. Okay, who do you think other than Sam
(28:34):
would be a likely villain? I feel like there are
so many people on this show, like Justin and Hakim
and Alex and Lexi that are definitely not going to
be villains. In my mind, I can't see them being villains.
But I feel like Zoe could possibly be possibly be
(28:55):
a villain, or maybe she gets a redemption story.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Who do you think?
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Oh, I feel like it's it's a tough call because
I can totally see her being a villain unintentionally. I
think that's her biggest step is that she just doesn't
She didn't understand that when she was interrupting that it
made the other women upset with her, and I feel
like she could do that again and unintentionally become the
seasoned villain. So we'll see if she's learning fro mistakes
(29:21):
and if she's from any of the community communication that
she had with the other women on Grant season. If
she hasn't, then I think she could set herself up
for a lot of conflict.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
You're so right.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
I feel like that's part of why it drives me crazy,
because people either want to do that on their own
and interrupt conversations, or they have producers who are saying
like you should go interrupt that conversation and either say
no or to the producers who's asking you to do that,
(29:55):
or have the wherewithal to know that that can be
taken as really rude, especially if you do it multiple
times and you've had time with him already, which I
know happened with her and Grant, she already had like
one on one time on at least one date and
then interrupted again. So I just feel like there's just
(30:21):
a part of all of this that you know, treat
others how you want to be treated in life in general,
in the Bachelor, in Bachelor in Paradise. Okay, who do
you think is going to be the crier of the
season out of this first batch at least?
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Hmmm? I think just from Joey's season, her tagline is
I don't kiss a smoochy pooh ah oh.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
No, remind me how that came up, Like I remember
her saying smoochy pooh, but remind me if you remember.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
I remember it a little bit of context. It was
as big as she maybe thought it was to make
it a whole tagline. I remember asking for a smoochie poo,
but it wasn't like her thing Like, she didn't intro
herself to Joey saying can I have a smooth chiepo
That would be weird. No. I give her a being
(31:26):
on that tagline though, for trying and for trying to
be unique. Again. I don't know if this was production
or if this was her, but it gets a bag.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I'm pretty sure it was production who set those taglines.
They might have talked to them about it, but I'm
pretty sure that that production was like, Okay, this is
what you're gonna say.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
He was a big She was a big crier, I
have to say, And I think it was hard because,
you know, she had a big conflict with Maria and
Joey's season and they really went at it. And in
some case I think that her edit portrayed her as
a villain when she maybe was not necessarily the instigator
(32:08):
and she was trying to resolve it. I really thought
she redeemed herself at the Women Tell All. Actually, so
hopefully she doesn't cry on Paradise, but if she does,
it's a guy.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
You know what, there's worse things I mean, look at Ashley.
She was the biggest crier of bachelor in Paradise history,
and now she's happily married with two beautiful boys. So
you know, there are worse things than a crier on
the beaches of Paradise.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
So true, and I would love to see Jess get
together I think with Hm looking through our list, Spencer
or maybe even Jonathan.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Ooh, that's a good one. I like that one. We
also did not mention.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Let's see where is it. I just saw this tagline.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Kyle, you may not remember me, but after this, you'll
never forget me. I'm like, that's actually really cute because.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
He's playing into being sent home week two. I love
it totally.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
So we'll see if he actually is someone who will
be memorable and is able to, you know, forge a
relationship on the beaches of Paradise.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Trista is there? Since they haven't announced the Goldens cast,
is there any yes I want to see on the beach?
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Oh my gosh, I love my Goldens. I just love
my Goldens and I'm sad that they didn't announce it yet,
but obviously it's coming because there have been you know,
there's been talk about it, and obviously they announced a
few people who were coming, or maybe it was just
Leslie and.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Gary.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
I think it's just lostly. Gary confirmed her right now, Okay,
got it.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
I Jonathan Rome, so I'm hoping to see him. I
think he's perfect for Paradise. He is the kindest man.
Bob and I had the pleasure of interviewing him on
the podcast, and oh, I just love Jonathan, so I'd
love to see him. Nancy is one of my favorites
from Golden Bachelor. I would love to see Nancy. And then,
(34:23):
of course I'm pretty positive ninety nine percent sure that
Kathy will be there because she can't not be there.
You know, Kathy is good television. She's great television. I
know she's amazing. So I think Kathy and Nancy would
be great to see them.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
And oh gosh, he's one more.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
I feel like, not unfortunately for them, but Kelsey's dad
like would have loved to see him, but I believe
he's in a relationship, so I'm pretty sure that he
will not be on the beaches of Paradise.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Would have loved to see him.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
So yes, I feel like, just in general, I love
that Paradise is still going strong because there are so
many amazing relationships to come out of this show, and
I love the entertainment of it all. I love throwing
them all on a beach. I love that Hannah Brown's
there this season with Wells and Jesse of course, and
(35:26):
I'm really excited to first tune in. It's going to
be premiering on ABC on Monday, July seventh at eight
pm Central, so you guys can all tune in and
of course come back to Almost Famous. We will definitely
be talking about Paradise on the pod, and Maddie, I
just want to say thank you for joining me today
(35:47):
on this breaking news story and talking all things Paradise.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Thank you for having me. This was so fun.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
You'll never your love
