Speaker 1 (00:00):
But this is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous
podcast with our radio issuer Is and it's the end
of the season. It's been a massive season for Colton.
We've got a really big podcast, Ashley ready for our guest. Okay,
So we have Rebecca and Garrett here back again, and
they started out the season with us in Park City
(00:20):
and now they're ending the season with us. Well technically
at the ending of the season. It is next is tomorrow,
but you know what I mean, they're here last week
and it's so mind boggling that it's been an entire
season weeks. Guys, it's been eleven weeks since we saw you.
It's crazy. Time flies when we're having fun apparently, I mean,
do you have an aged a bit? Actually? Are you?
(00:45):
I'm thirty in two weeks, Garrett, and I'm thirty one now. Wow.
So to start this season out with Almost Famous Podcast,
we had Easton travel all the way from Los Angeles
to Park City to set up a mobile studio, which
we've done a couple of times this season. We brought
in Becca and Garrett and Ashley and I were already
there for our the watch party, and we pulled off
(01:06):
a great episode in Park City. I thought it was
so much fun. It's definitely one of my favorites. But
now worth In and I have to tease this. Actually,
this is big for us. We have Tasia in the
building tonight as well from Polton season of The Bachelor.
I shall be coming up about twenty minutes. Believe in
our show is like popular enough to have like one
of the biggest stars from the season on it. The
(01:28):
second basically she gets off stage at after the final Rose.
Tonight was considered after the final Rose, sort of kind
of right part one, there wasn't really part one. Is
there really going to be a final Rose? That's my question.
I don't know. I'm on it, I know I'm back.
I'm back tomorrow night for another show. Really, Oh yeah,
so I guess there is. You're on your on Tomorrow Live,
(01:49):
on Tomorrow Live. So I guess there's another final Rose, Like, yeah,
there's another final Rose live taping. But is there going
to be like a rose presentation at the end of
all this, Well, let's ask our guests Becca and Garrett.
You were there tonight, Garrett famously, I think this would
be famous set up on the panel. I don't know
if you saw this actually, and this guy, I'm telling
(02:11):
you he assault of the Earth, and so I feel
like I want to pick on him because he's so lovable.
But he's sitting up there and his belly button is
popping through his shirt. Oh yeah, I'm sitting right across
him down. So make sure you go back. If you're listening,
make sure you go back and watch it. Garrett has
a very beautiful belly button. It looks very like clean shaven.
(02:32):
It's very clean. Yeah, because I gotta ad hernia surgery.
No no, no, So I got an awesome scar under
the belly button, and I'm like, hey, why can't I
just show it off like TV? It was finally his moment.
That's hilarious. What Jason said tonight really resonated with me
when he was like, sometimes you just have to chase someone.
(02:54):
You just have to just kind of do everything you
possibly can to get the person. And if at the
end of all that that doesn't work out, that's one thing.
But if you leave it with any what IF's, like
what if I tried that, what if I did that?
Then you're just gonna be wondering about it for the
rest of your life. So it's best. I think in
(03:16):
the situation that Colton does go back to Cassie and
kind of just begs for more time with her. So
what I mean, Beck and Garrett as we brought up
and is actually just brought up. We don't know what
happens next. So let's assume that he goes back to Cassie, right,
we kind of ended episodes. Assuming that he goes back
to Cassie, what does this look like? Is there a
(03:37):
final Rosmart night? Is there in an engagement? Is are
they engaged now? Like? What do you both think happens?
I well, let me first start by saying I agree
with Jason, there's not even in a relationship and in
other things in life, you have two at points, exhaust
yourself to get an answer, because like you said, Ashley,
or like Jason said, you're always going to have the
(03:58):
what if. So if you don't get to that point,
you're still going to have regrets. So I think in
Colton's case, like he of course loves this girl, he
wants to go after her, he wants to do all
he can to make it work, and and if it's
a no at the end of it, we'll find out tomorrow. Um,
then at least he has an answer because he, like I,
I can kind of put myself in his shoes to
(04:20):
be like God, like, what if I didn't try that,
What if I didn't put all of my effort into this? Um.
I think, just from what I saw play out so far, UM,
a relationship is a two road street, and so you
both have to be on the same page and communicate
well to figure out what the next step is, whether
it's to break up, whether it's to keep going, And
(04:41):
so from what I saw, I feel like it's kind
of leaning towards not the best outcome for Coulton. UM.
But again I can't fault him for trying, and it
just is kind of up to both of them. I
think it's up to Cassie to be articulate and to
be able to explain why if she wants to break up,
why she wants to do that, because I think it
(05:01):
left a lot of you worse wondering. And then I
think it's up to him to accept that and move
on and be okay with that or you know, Yeah,
as far as what we've seen over the past couple
of weeks, I think it has she's just got that
into him like written over everything. But it's just like
the last thing I can say, because after in Paradise,
(05:22):
Jared wasn't into me at all. And if I didn't
choose to befriend him and to grow our relationship that
way after the show, who knows where we'd be today.
It's such an interesting point. I mean, Garrett, you know Colton,
and and we're gonna bring intation later on the podcast
to talk to him about this, and and just what
she knows about Colton where she thinks this ends up, uh,
(05:43):
and and how maybe Cassie could have handled this better,
how she handles it best from me on out. But Garret,
you know Colton, how do you think he responds? He's
just been his heart's been ripped out, kind of feels
like it's been ripped out, stomped on and then ripped
out again. And he's going only off is to go
after this girl. Yeah, what do you think happens next?
(06:03):
How do you think Colton handles this? And how would
you have handled this? That's it's a tough situation, I
think because obviously on the show, you don't get to
have friends or family or the people that you normally consult,
so you've got to think about it on your own
and really soak it all in and really just follow
(06:25):
your heart and go after what you really want and
what you think would be best. But like Becca was saying,
it's a two way road and you've got to find
like a fifty fifty. I get that he totally wants her,
but if she doesn't feel the same way, then I
don't know. I really don't know how that works out
(06:47):
for me, because, like I told Becca when we were
on the show, if I wasn't into her and she
was into me, um, I would have to in that
relationship kinda and not have her continue to chase after me.
And it was like the same thing where if I'm
in Rebecca but she's not into me, I don't want
(07:10):
to just continue to keep chasing and chasing after something
that she's not gonna feel the same about with me.
Does it not feel a little unique this season because
Colton has been broken up with so many times? I
mean it is, and it does did not feel unique
because he had been warned by some of the women
that had either broken up with him or had he
(07:31):
had asked to go home, that hey, some people aren't
here for the same reason you are, and then that
prediction comes true, and so we're all sitting there going,
you know, Cassie hasn't had an easy week. She's been
the media is blown up around here. You know, there's
a ton of criticism. Uh, you know, I don't think
any of that's ever deserved, but I do get it.
Fans of the show are going to criticize how you
handle yourself on the show. And so if she's been
(07:54):
being criticized on the show for not being ready, and
then that comes becomes true, all the viewers are gonna
go eight. It's been right in front of your face
the whole time, right, You've been warned about this over
and over again. These women have left and told you, like,
the person you love is not here for the same
reason you are. And then it happens like, how are
we supposed to as viewers? And then I want all
(08:14):
of you to respond here because we have been a
party show, how are we supposed to kind of forgive
and forget if they do get back together? Like doesn't
just just feel confusing at this point? Yes? And I
think what I always try to keep in mind is
what we as viewers are watching is two hours every
Monday night. There's so much more that goes into filming
and conversations and time with the person that we don't
(08:38):
get to see. And you know, everyone judged me or
the guys on my season based upon one little thing
that they said or some action that they did, and
it's like, there's so much more to that. And so hopefully,
because I do wish the best for Colden and Cassie
and whatever happens, like hopefully they on the show had
more conversations than just what we're privy to see during
(09:00):
this you know, this awkward, weird, crazy breakup on the
TV show. Um, But that being said too, I think
it comes down to communication. And so of course Colton
was being warned from multiple people about some of the
girls not being ready. It's also up to the girls
too if they aren't ready, which I think Cassie did
(09:21):
to a certain extent. You know, she was saying, I'm
not ready to give him what he wants. If he
wants an engagement, I don't think I can get there.
So I will say, like, at least she acknowledge that
and and not took herself out of the setting per se,
but at least said like I'm not going to keep
going along with this and just do it for the show. Um,
I just wish there was more context to what we
(09:43):
did see play out, like more reasoning of why she
was leaving, other than just you know, I don't know,
I don't know, And that's kind of what I felt
like I was hearing was a lot of I don't know,
is but if you don't know, that's okay to not
always have the answers, but um, for at least Colton's
sake and just for me as if you, like, I
want to be able to understand more why this is happening.
(10:05):
I think that Cassie naively thought that if she were
to break up with Colton that he was going to
end up with Tasia or Hannah g Like. I really
just think that that was kind of like her way
of being like, it's not me, but go enjoy one
of the other two. It's gonna be fine for you.
So I think if she finds out, and which she will,
that he dumps Tasia. So sorry that I'm saying this
(10:27):
in front of you and and Hannah Ge, maybe she'll
be like, Okay, wow, this is like he's a lot
more serious about me. Than I ever thought, because it
is hard to gauge when you know that they're solar
people involved. It's like, to a certain extent, you have
feelings for all three people at that point. And I
think us being on the show, realized that, like, we're
(10:47):
not idiots. We realized that we're not the only one
and done person, and so you have to keep that
in the back of your mind. And I think maybe
she just didn't fully grasp the overall feeling and an
harmony of his emotions for her. The headlines this week
are saying that, you know a lot of myself and
(11:09):
others includive just slamming Cassie and and I hate that
those are the headlines, but they actually catch people's attention,
and that's not what I mean by this. I think
that it could have been handled so much better. I
thought the breakup was uh confusing at best. And I
think as a viewer right now, I sit there and
I listened to or watch this show, and I still
can't quite fully process what's happening. Like I still don't
(11:31):
get it. I don't know if it's it's just not
clear storytelling by the show in general, but there's something
missing I'm watching this breakup happen and and all I
can say is, either Cassie is is really struggling to
communicate that she wants to break up with Colton, or
she really still loves him and she's just not knowing
how to express it, or she's scared. And if that's
the case, I hope on this next episode we see
(11:52):
that play out, because when I watched the breakup, it's
so flippy floppy, like there's I love you, this is
the best day ever, goodbye, I still love you, And
it's like, what do you love him? Do you not?
Are you into this? Or you not? And then you
see tonight's episode and you see him torn apart and
feeling as you saw talking to Chris Harrison, which I
think is is a huge signs feeling like he knows
(12:13):
something more that he knows Cassie still into him, where
when I watched shows like that, girl's down into you
at all. Okay, So that's what was such a surprise
to me. When he's talking to Harrison and he goes,
I think she loves me. I think she's scared. It's
like I think I'm thinking, like we must he's either
blind and seeing what he wants to see or we're
(12:35):
not seeing a lot. Yeah, because the thing that confused
me was a lot of viewers think that at the
end of it, you have to get engaged, and you
have to be engaged, and she clearly made it. She
clearly made her point up that she wasn't ready to
get engaged. And then Colton says, we don't have to
get engaged. I just choose you and I want to
be with you kind of thing. But then she just
kept saying I don't know, I don't know, I don't
(12:57):
know if it's gonna work out. How many times did
she say I'm confused? So that's like, to your guys point,
it's like, is she breaking up with him? Or is
she want to stay with him? I mean, and you've
gotten to know him pretty well. Is he blinded to this? Is?
Are we not seeing it all? I mean because of
your time with him and because of the kind of
the details of his life that you know. Do you
(13:17):
believe he's blinded and she doesn't really like him? Or
do you believe he's actually reading the situation correct and
she does still care? Oh God, this is a hard question, Ben,
I'm I would say I think it's half and half.
I will say, like Colton, he he came on this
season hoping for an engagement. You know, that's you come
(13:40):
on the season hoping to find your partner, somebody that
you can share your life with. And I think just
because of all of his breakups, you know mine with
him included, he kept saying like, I I want somebody
who feels the same way that I do, Like I
want to feel like I'm good enough for somebody. So
he went into this like all in sorry, everyone balls deep,
like ready to do this and hopefully for a wife.
(14:01):
And UM, I think that freaked Cassie out a little
bit because she I do think that she cares about him, Um,
from what I've seen to a lesser extent. But because
of that, I think she thought like, Okay, he wants
an engagement, he wants a wife. And knowing how I
was in his position, you know, you give toasts throughout
(14:21):
the season, you give speeches to the group of guys
every week, and at every roast ceremony, UM, and you
kind of project like what you're hoping for, what you've
learned from that week, and for me, UM, at one point,
I said, uh, like I see my partner, I see
my husband in this group of guys. And I remember
leaving that being like, oh, that's like a very bold statement,
(14:42):
like to say, I see my husband in this group
of guys. But I felt it and I meant it,
and I noticed throughout the season Colton had said that too,
So he of course is like again all in, like
ready to do this, ready to find someone, ready to
get down on one knee. I just think the timing
scares Cassie, and I think after what her dad had
out of like if you if you aren't ready to
(15:02):
commit acent to somebody, then like what are you doing?
And I think, Um, for him and her, they both thought, Okay,
it has to edit an engagement. That's what Colton has
been talking about. That's what he's been wanting this entire time.
So if you can't give that to him, then remove
yourself so he can find that. Um. But that's weird
because that's like her that Cassie thinks that an engagement
(15:24):
is more important than being with the person that he
actually loves, Like, isn't that weird of her to think
he should be thinking like, Oh, if he loves me enough,
he'll be okay with not getting We'll make it work
in whatever way. And like throughout my season, at one
point I even said, I think a couple of times, like,
you know, I am falling for a couple of guys here.
(15:44):
If I'm not ready to get engaged, that's fine, Like
if I can just end up with the person that
I choose and that they choose me, and we can
end up together, and you know, if an engagement comes
down the road, that's great. Um. And I think that's
at this point now with Cassie. That's what he's saying,
like if if I choose you and you choose me,
let's do this together, we don't have to get engaged.
And I think I think it's just a miscommunication. And
(16:06):
I don't know if that's something that they had talked
about at any point um or if she just assumed,
Like I mean, it's hard because there's so much going
on on every day and there's so much you know,
thought are going around you that I'm not articulate articulating
this very well at all. But I don't think he's blind.
(16:27):
I think he realizes it, but I think he's kind
of turning his cheek to say, you know, we'll get there,
we'll get there. I'm willing to do what it takes
if you're willing to say you want me to, like,
let's do this like so, And I've never met her,
and so that's why it's really hard to say any
of this because I haven't had a conversation with her.
I don't know her how she is or how she acts.
(16:49):
So I feel like I'm not the best person to
be asking about this. Yeah, so we do have somebody
that's a little bit better to ask about it. We're
gonna take a break. Bring on, Tasia Garanbeck. Can you
here on for a few minutes today? Sha, it'd be awesome. Hey,
before we get to Tasha. The season's almost over. We've
had a blast um. I feel like we've done a
decent job ash of not talking about the virginity topic, right,
(17:12):
I mean, we haven't talked about a ton a little bit.
It's a important talk about the times, but I feel
like we've stayed away from it. But in memory of
this season, we have to make one more virgin joke.
All right, go for it. I don't know who's puting
sleeping with these days. I don't know if he's sleeping
with anybody. But he is. I hope he's sleeping on
a sleep number mattress. Actually, as you know, I've been
sleeping on a sleep number bed for years now. Actually
(17:35):
I have had it a sleep number bed since college.
What kind of twee are you? Oh yeah, I haven't
told you the story. Let me tell you the story
real quick. So my grandfather had parkinson Is. He's six
ft five. He's passed away last year. But because of
the Parkinson's it's important that you know. He rolls around
a lot at night. And so to get a sleep
(17:56):
number bed, there's two separate settings you can have, so
that once I could be firm for him and then
at the time my grandma could be on the other side.
And it's big and it's wide. Well you know, Parkinson's progressive,
a place where he no longer could sleep in the
same bed and all those things. And so when when
that happened, guess what happened, Mr No that they already
had to sleep number. Mr Grandson me sleep number. I'm
(18:18):
not mad about it. And I know why they got
to sleep nuver because it is so comfortable. The new

ladies and gentlemen, kids of all ages. This season's favorite contestant,
the beautiful, the confident, the one and only. Tassia is
in the building. Tassa lean up in there. I can
hear you, Tassia. Welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. Thank
you for having me. Ashley is a big fan of you.
(19:49):
I'm a big fan of you. We've watched you tonight
go through a break up. This we actually, I do
a podcast and I kind of feel like called in
depth yes, where we take people from the franchise or
people in life in general who have gone through something
difficult and we just want to hear their story. So
this isn't an in depth episode, but I hope that
(20:10):
you welcome Becca, Garrett, ash and I as fans of you,
just to ask you some questions that we've been wondering
and get it from the source. My first is, let's
go back last week. Um, if we can give a
quick recap, I'll try to summarize your season and a
few short notes. Right, you had a great chemistry with Colton.
You guys experienced some some huge things together. And one
(20:30):
of my first notes that I've talked about actually is
I'm so glad it was not the Bachelor this season
because I hate jumping off of things, and you jumped
off and into things all the time. Are you kidding me?
I'm afraid of heights. Really, that's my biggest fear. So
did you do that as a bonding thing? I bought
my experience. I don't know what came over me, quite honestly,
but I was a daredevil and I lived for it.
(20:50):
Can we do a trust fall after this with with you? Yeah,
we'll post on Instagram. We need that. Yeah, used to
remember that? Please try as fall? Um. I mean when
you're on these dates then, did you feel like you
just had to do it to impress Colton or the
show or you had any option? I honestly, I would
never the one thing that got me. I would have
(21:12):
never bungee jumped. Okay, yeah, skydiving over bungee jumping for
some reason, I agree, and I did both of them,
and I would do sky diving any day. Bungee dumping.
I'm glad I did it, done and done, never happening again. Um.
That being said, yeah, I kind of feel like I
had to do it, But at the same time, I
came into this entire experience wanting to do the absolute
(21:34):
most and have no regrets. So I don't know what
came up with me. Honestly, I blacked out and I
just jumped. As you can tell, I jumped the wrong way.
I was gonna ask you that my first quote, I mean,
the question was it's being criticized on social media and
on a show I did last week that your form
on the bungee jumping was not okay, like it was
very dangerous. Why you jumped out? Um? I jumped like
(21:56):
feet first, pencil, and then I with you're supposed to,
you know, like to dive into a cool You're supposed
to dive like that, she penciled of like feet first.
I legitimately blacked out, Like when I tell you blacked out.
I don't even remember getting whipped. I don't remember anything.
I remember bouncing back up at the bottom and be like,
oh my god, so cool. Great when you jump like that.
(22:18):
I just said, oh no, oh yeah that and he's like,
oh no. I was like, oh gosh, up for a girl.
It was not good. It was not good. But your
your dates continued, Your your chemistry with Colton Um kind
of catalyzed to the point of the fantasy suits, and
(22:38):
I think that's where we want to start is the
fantasy Yeah yeah, yeah, me too. Oh god, Ashually, we've
talked about it last week. I gotta start this by saying,
Um and Beck and Garrett please chime in here and
ask any questions you want. We had some women from
the show on last week and they love you, So
I just want to say that is coming into this,
we're big fancy because these women sat down and we're
so supportive of you as a purse in and that's
(23:01):
why we have some questions because we're protective of you.
Right now, Okay, that means a lot. Okay, So you're
like so into Colton going into the fantasy suite. You
were talking a lot of induendo. Is that I'm saying
it right, Okay? And then the doors open, you'll let
the cameras in the next morning, and I feel like
your vibe was so off. Why, Um, come on, she
(23:24):
knows something. Something happens, whether you tell us or not. No,
it's just I feel I felt that there are other
relationships I probably weren't more progress than mine. Okay. Is
that because he wasn't like making sexual moves? I mean no, uh,
I feel really right now. I know I'm so sorry. Okay,
(23:47):
let's give it a good laugh. I'm not saying with
Fantasy Sweet Week, like the editing like the for me
they did it too, were like I think my pajamas
are like a towel or something before. So yeah, it's
just not no one needs to see that. I think,
like I'm just leave about that. That just yeah. If
(24:09):
I have a question in the beginning of the date,
like when the day started, could you tell something was
already off? Um, I couldn't tell until actually we got
into the Fantasy suite. So was it his mood, Like
was it a communication thing? I think it was just
like his energy and his vibe and you could just
(24:30):
tell when something's on. Do you think he was just
extra nervous. Who's very nervous? Um? And I think he
just didn't want to do anything he was going to
regret in a way, just because he did also care
about to other people. And I don't know, it was
just like my womanly instinct. I just kind of took
it for what it was and I wasn't gonna pressure
in any which I kind of get like if I
(24:51):
was in his position, you know, there are three women
I wouldn't want to cross the line with anyone knowing
that too other people's hearts were on the line. So
I get it from that stand point of being nervous,
being like, this is new territory. What do I do
when I still have two other dates? Um, but still
to like there's no rule book. It's not like, Okay,
(25:12):
you have to lose your virginity or you have to
sleep with somebody, or you have to stay up all
night talking like there's nothing so so much as you
talk quite a bit, like a couple of hours as
you sleep, Um, honestly, maybe like half hour. It happens
every time. I'm honestly, I've never been in or fantasy
suits now, Um, but no, I mean every one of them.
(25:40):
You don't sleep because there's so much build up, and
I'm gonna I need to. I feel like I need
to protect Colton a little bit here because for me,
you know, I went into my fantasy seat with Kayla,
who was third on my season, and I did it,
and I knew she wasn't the one, And I was
going to ask you, are you upset that Colton still
invited you into this fancy sweet but my my, in
(26:01):
my head, I desired to spend an evening with her
so bad, not sexually, not physically, because we had such
a great relationship that I felt that if I sent
her home before we spent that evening together, we would
be falling short of what we already had. You feel
like these are your girlfriends and boyfriends at the time,
even though you know at the end it's not gonna
be with them, And you're like, I can't imagine saying
(26:23):
goodbye to you on a date with two people around
watching with cameras if I'm gonna say goodbye to in
my head, this was my rationale, and it was I
don't know if it's wrong or right. I would love
to hear what you think, Tasia, but my rationale was
I need a night with you just so I can
look back on this relationship that means so much to
me and know that we had this time together, Like
I felt like that was the closure maybe we both needed.
(26:44):
Do you do you wish you would invite you into
Does that rationale make sense? Or you upset that even
happen To be honest with you, Um, I mean Colton
kind of said he already knew he wanted to be
with Cassie, and at this point I didn't know that, um,
if anything, because he didn't actually verbalize anything to me,
It's just I just could read his body language. It
(27:05):
made me more confused, and it made me kind of
wonder what was going on. But then I was like,
but we just came back from the fantasy suites. Obviously,
we just came off of hometowns which were amazing. Um,
maybe I was reading two into it. So I was
just like, I'm just gonna try to take it for
what it is, and I'll see him at the Rost ceremony. UM.
And I could see how you're trying to defend him
(27:27):
as well, that it is nicer to have a little
bit more time rather than just saying by at a
row ceremony when you do have a strong connection with somebody.
So I understand that. But at the same time, it
only hurt me more. I think, which and if I
can tryme And I sent Jason home before our overnight
because I at that point knew that my other two
(27:49):
relationships were stronger, and I wanted the alone time just
because it would have been the first time away from
cameras throughout the entire season, like it would have been
our first conversational loan, like our first time alone, and
I knew that, like Jason is so funny and he's
such a great guy, and it would have been a
fine night. But I was like, if I know at
the end of this you're not the one, I can't
(28:10):
drag you through an entire night and just have feeling
to grow potentially more if we're not on the same page.
And so for me, I made that decision to send
him home because I would have wanted that same respect
I think given to me, Like had anyone else know
they didn't want to progress relationship and other relationships or stronger,
I wouldn't have. I wouldn't have wanted to go through
that entire night knowing my heart was invested more than
(28:33):
somebody else's, right. Do you know what I think is
really interesting? You know how he told Hannah Gee that
he kind of thought it was going to be her.
He said, I think it was I thought it was
going to be you, And then he said that his
date in Portugal with Cassie changed all of that. So
what if the dates really were a reverse What if
(28:53):
Hannah g did go first and did have an overnight
do we think it could have changed anything? Could her
dad have gone that well that he may have at
least been tossed up between Cassie and Hannah gy I
do you think? So, what do you think Tay show?
I mean very much So. I mean I think Hannah
(29:17):
Gye needed hair time with Colton, and that being said,
it could have changed everything. I think they did have
a strong connection just as being a girl, you know,
amongst everyone else. You could see that during our dates
and whatnot. Um, so yeah, I think it would have
changed a lot. We we are humans, right, So there's
this there's a formula here that we have to recognize.
(29:39):
And if you you're a fan of a fan of
the show, you've seen it year every year, every year
that the first date, the first overnight is gonna be
just based on us being humans with short memories forgettable
by the last date, no matter if it was the
best day or not, your first date with somebody is
going to be trump on this show because you're gonna
spend another night with somebody else, and that's gonna be
(30:01):
that's gonna get in your head and you're gonna start
processing that and then the third time that's gonna be
the thing that sticks with you, which ultimately in real
life or on the show, is gonna be the best
or most important date in your mind? And so for you, Tassia,
you were the first date. And I look back on
this and I think of all of your time with Colton.
I think of then that night that you spent with Colton,
(30:24):
and that the fact that you're saying, you know, yeah,
it was weird that he had already mentioned Cassie. I
think that's the part here that I'm not processing that
before your day even he already had felt like Cassie
was the one, And so knowing Colton now and spending
time with him, like, is he confused at this point?
Is he keeping his head together? Is he emotional? Um?
(30:46):
Is he has? He changed moods? Like? Are you seeing
a mood shift in him as as more stresses bringing on?
Like what kind of shift are you seeing in Colton
towards the end here fantasy suits? Yeah? Or just from
your fantasy towards you know, the end of this week?
I guess on the show? Oh? Um, yeah, like I said,
(31:07):
I saw a shift as soon as the door closed
to be in the fantasy suites. Um, he just kind
of started. Do you think he was like putting on
an act? The entire time with you just know, but
that you just think it was because he was like,
oh man, I'm alone with this girl now and I
don't and I'm thinking of Cassie. Yeah, maybe so fortunate.
I know, it's so sad. I mean, it's I didn't
(31:30):
realize it. Then again, okay, you know, it didn't make
sense until I saw last episode and obviously today, but
um yeah, looking back, I think he just kind of
already knew. So it would have been nice just to
not have asked me to get to the Nasy suite. Yeah,
he would have preferred it. You know. Let's move to
the breakup. I do have some criticism mccleton about the breakup,
(31:53):
and we've been supportive him all season, and I think
he showed his heart. I think he's a gunny Batcher Batchett.
He's fallen short at times. I thought to break Up
with You was really hard to watch because what we're
hearing is you consoling him, and that to me did
not feel right. And I'm interested for everybody sitting around
the table, including Utahsia she watched that back or you
remember that moment? Am I watching that incorrectly? Or was
(32:16):
that your I mean he's crying and you're going it's okay, No,
it's not okay, it's not. Yeah. I don't know. I
think that's just I know it was so tough for him. Yeah,
I think he was feeling a lot of guilt, Like
he felt so bad. He was he was breaking up
with a girl who loved him, and he was shaking
so bad. The last thing I was I felt to
(32:37):
do was just like yell at him or just like
try to criticize him or even beg him that I'm
supposed to be the one that he's supposed to be
fighting for um. And honestly, I've been in a position
before my last relationship where I understand how hard it
is to be admitting truth and knowing you're wrong, and
(32:58):
I don't know, just having complete heartbreak. So my natural
instinct was just to console him and just to be
there as much as they could. I don't know, I
just felt bad. He's a good guy. Are you looking
at me like that? I mean, I'm looking at you
like that because it is. I mean, you're you're obviously
very sweet and he is a good guy, right, Colton
(33:20):
is harmless. Like there's one thing that we can all
agree upon Colton Underwood is absolutely harmless, right, Yeah, like
there's there's criticism, but but but being harmless doesn't mean
that you're always going to do this correctly. And I
still think it feels weird that he goes to you
and breaks up with you, that he knows there's somebody
(33:40):
else out there that you, guys, spent the evening in
the fantasy sweet and it's big of you than to
look at him and go, you know, you've brought this
pain on yourself in a sense, like this could have
been a lot easier if we didn't spend the night together,
like this could have been a lot easier, if if
we didn't share in these memories for so long together,
if you knew it was Cassie two weeks ago, this
gets a lot easier for you if you don't bring
me along the way and instead because of who you are.
(34:03):
I think he's bawling, shaking, and you're going, no, it's okay, No,
you're right. I did have all those questions, and in
a way I did for quite some time. But I
think I've moved on and he I hope he's happy,
and I hope he's with the person he wants to
be with, and I hope everything works out for him.
(34:24):
So yeah, I did have a question as to why
he brought me the fantasy suits when he knew all along.
I I was wondering, you know, how Hannah Gy was
even going to feel about all that. It was just
a lot. It was a lot that whole day. I
don't really like to belive it, to be honest. So
when he went to your room and he said it's Cassie,
did you know that Cassie had broken up with him?
(34:47):
No idea, Okay, So you were like, oh, he just
decided and he's letting me go nicely right now. I
honestly thought that they had gone to the fantasy suite.
Maybe they had been intimate, and he knew the she
was the one and that was it, and he made
up his mind already. I didn't know what to think.
So when did you find out that Cassie had broke
(35:07):
up with him? Um? It was I don't know what
I was getting sent home, Okay. So it was while
you were still on set. And so when they're all
searching for Colton in the middle of the night, in
the dark after the fence jump, like a lost dog,
you have no idea this is happening, Like, are you
just asleep? I had no idea. You know, it's so
(35:29):
crazy is that night? And maybe this is a little weird,
But I could not sleep, and I just remember opening
my prayer journal and I wrote a prayer for Colton
because I I felt like something was off. Isn't that weird?
I don't know. I just you're very connected to him,
didn't be. I'm emnarested to hear your thoughts through this
whole thing. You've now got to no taste a little bit,
(35:52):
you know, Colton, Well, you're the only one in the
room that knows them both. You know, you probably know
them both the most at this point, right too, So
I mean, what do you think of this whole thing?
Because it is a little heart wrenching. I okay, this
is something I always think about. And you know, Colton
(36:15):
had the choice to wait to break up with you
and Hannah ge at the next Row ceremony, or he
had the choice to end thing sooner, just like I
had the choice throughout the season if I wanted to
send somebody home early or keep them through the Row ceremony.
By all means, Row ceremonies would be the easiest way
to break up with somebody because you go into it
(36:35):
and everyone standing there as as strong of a connection
as you can have with somebody, Like you go into
it's still being like there are multiple people here, I
could potentially go home. So in that setting, to me,
it's so much easier, um because you know you're breaking
up with somebody, but it's kind of in a formulated way,
(36:56):
per se um. So to end things early you have
to really think about it. And I think that, you know,
Colton may or may not have done it in the
best way, but he did it in the way that
he felt was right for him. And I can't fault
him on that because I guarantee going to your door
early and going to handed G's door early was much harder,
(37:19):
much more heart wrenching, and a lot more difficult for
him to probably do just being in his shoes, knowing that, like,
you know, I could show up a few days later
and have all of these beautiful people standing in front
of me, give out two roses, say my goodbyes, knowing
that I'm going to say goodbye to one or two people. Um.
So it's it's tough, and I do feel because like
(37:41):
watching his breakup was not only Cassie last week, but
with you and Hannah too. It obviously brings up memories
of my breakup and just knowing, like, you know, you
really have to feel what's right and to hopefully be
in tune enough with yourself to make that choice and
to cut things off early. Um, So it's not easy.
And I know that he probably didn't do it in
(38:02):
a way that most people appreciated watching or like, I
think that it left a lot of people wanting more
or like knowing more or having more answers. But he
did hopefully what it was right for him, and I
know that had not that could not have been easy
on him. No, I agree, And you're right. At the
Rose ceremony, I feel like you kind of mentally prepare
that you could be going home, Okay, you have that,
(38:24):
like you have a little doubt in your mind, whether
you're like I'm confident in this relationship, you still know, like, hey,
I'm gonna be standing up next to two or three
or more women knowing that a certain amount of us
are going to be going home, So you just like
it's just you know that, so you kind of have
a little bit of hesitation or doubt at some point
being like this is the setting word somebody's going to
(38:46):
say goodbye. Yeah, I think I was just really shocked
and blindsided. But to harp on what kind of like
Garrett was saying earlier, I'm glad he kind of told
me when he knew he didn't want to pursue me anymore,
as opposed to having me continue to pursue him and
him not or him know that he didn't want to
be with me. Yeah, I was going to say, is
(39:06):
it did you have like some sort of relief, Like
I know, initially the shock of it and you're blindsided
and stuff like that, and it sucks really bad, but
just to have the relief of knowing, like because you're
putting all your effort and energy into the relationships, and
but to just know, like it's hard on him to
break up with you. It sucks that you're going through it.
(39:27):
But at some point did you feel like relief like
I can move on. I did everything that I could
possibly do. I have no regrets, and yeah, I laid
it all out there. I jumped out of a plane
for that guy. I mean, more than to do first
on that bunch of that I could have died, but
you know, um yeah, I laid it all out there
(39:49):
and I was happy with what I did. So I
have a question. Yeah, so when he knocked on your
door that day to end things for of all, what
were you thinking? Were you like, oh, this is room
service or who? Like did you think it would be him?
I just want to know what was going through your mind. Yeah,
I want to know this too. Are you a fan
of the show, because I think that when you see
(40:12):
the Bachelor at your door during the top three weeks,
it can only mean bad news. It's bad. The knocks
on the doors are always best. They always, especially even
the date cards, when you hear those hard, pounding knocks,
so it kind of drops a little bit and you're like, oh, yeah, happening,
like immediate anxiety. Um, but no, I was actually looking
at photos and shooting, you know, some be roll and
(40:36):
then the door. Someone knocked at the door, and I
was like making a joke of it, was like, wouldn't
that be so funny that it was Calton? And then
like nobody was moving, and so it's like, oh my god,
I gotta got to open the door, and I guarantee
you it's him, and it's not going to be good.
Then I did, and I just saw his face and
I was just like, all right, Yeah, we could see
(40:57):
it in your It is what it is. We gotta
pause for a second, um, because we have some special

on Single Parents on ABC, it's a Bachelor theme episode
with guest appearance by Chris Harrison. Tonight on the Almost
Famous Podcast, we have J. J. Philbin and Layton meast Or,
(43:55):
two stars of the show, calling in now. Layton, I
kind of feel starstruck through the microphone with you right now,
because I've just watched so many years of Gossip Girl.
I am so excited that you're on an ABC show. Now,
are you a Bachelor fan? I am, and I'm especially
Bachelor fan now because I have been to the mansion.
(44:16):
I've been, you know, in scenes with Chris, which is
like huge, and I feel like now I'm like part
of the family, Like I know all the secrets, and
I know all the stuff and behind the scenes, and
and I feel like I don't know. And I also
very much not disappointed that it's very true. You know,
I feel like I get it. I'm part of this
(44:38):
part of this. Now you're part of Master Relations. It's official. Well, yes,
that's very cool. Um, did you get to you went
to the Bachelor mansion this episode, right, and you saw
a wet driveway, a wet driveway just like it is
on TV. We went in the hot tub. Um, we
(45:00):
sat on the steps in front of the front in
front of the front door, and Chris opens the door
and it's like, would you guys like to come in
and like talk about your love lives? And the best
thing is like the wishful filment of our show is
like we all have like families and past lives and
all kinds of stuff that's been going on that kind
of causes just sort of drama that whether or not
(45:20):
we want it, it's there. But we're also single, which
is like a really fun element of our show because
there's like chances for love connections, but of course we
all are totally like screwed up in our own ways,
so we can't really see love when it's staring at
us in the face, or like when a relationship is
good or bad, Like we can't really figure it out.
So my character has like in desperate need of some guidance,
and he's like the perfect person to be uh giving
(45:44):
breaking it down for me and happens to be doing
it in the hot tub and kind of knows like
just what to say to kind of get to me
and like make me understand um, sort of my my
shortcomings as far as love and what I can do
to fix it. We got j J. Filman and Layton
Measter on the line. Layton and j J will also
be at the Live Bachelor finale tomorrow Tuesday on ABC.
(46:09):
J J. You're actually the creator of Single Parents, Uh
that stars you know yourself and Laton Mester. Is that correct, yes,
called creator with Liz Meriweather amazing And because of your
desire and love for the Bachelor franchise, why did you
choose then to create an episode so Bachelor focused on
(46:33):
a show that you helped create and love so much
because of the with The Bachelor and our show is
about single people trying to find love and you know,
trying to believe in a fairy tale, trying to believe
that it does exist. And it just felt like a
perfect way to like mild my two loves, which is
(46:53):
single parents and also The Bachelor, I mean, getting Layton
and Camery, like their characters to talk to Chris Harrison
and to be like, you know, to express all of
their doubts and frustrations. And we do think of him
as in our writer's room, as a real guru, as
the person who you know, you go to for for
council um and and for faith and right and so
(47:16):
it really was like it actually made sense for us
story wise, and it also really made us laugh. I mean,
we're huge fans of the show, and selflessly, I just
I really wanted to go to the Mansion and I
really wanted to meet Chris Harrison. So we're yeah, did
you make Marcel the owner of the Bachelor Mansion? No?
I didn't. I mean I definitely was in like negotiations
(47:37):
with him and was like very aware like the time
crunch and like things that were going on that like
around our shoot dates, and was like on the edge
of my feet, like so nervous, but like it wasn't
going to work out. But when I found out that
we were going to be at the Bachelor Mansion with
Chris on Valentine's Day, I was like, well, I can
(47:57):
die now. But feels like the fires that you shot
the episode. Yeah, it was only like a month ago
that we thought the episode. The fires had happened in uh,
you know, the fall, and I was aware that the
fires were like encroaching upon the mansion, but in something
like divine intervention, the mansion had been spared, which felt
(48:18):
really right to me. I was like, yes, that makes sense, um.
And then when I got there, you know, it felt
even more right because it did feel kind of like
this hallowed ground. Um. It had been pouring that whole day.
It continued to pour it with an all night shoot,
as Layton was saying, and uh, you know, so it's
the driveway was super wet. The place had like there
(48:39):
was a mist that was coming up out of the
hot tub. It felt very fairy talist, which is what
we were sort of going for in the episode. It's
it's funny. I think we just passed over something that's exciting.
You literally rented Chris Harrison on Valentine's Day. I don't
know how it was my date on Valentine's Day. It
(49:00):
was a dream. I mean, my husband like stepped aside
because like I completely understand, like I would do the
same thing. And then I mean, so Chris opens up
the door of the bachelor mansion and he's obviously an
actor at this point, like he's acting to play himself,
which is unique. How was he as an actor of
(49:21):
himself of himself? Did he nail it? Nail it? He
nailed it. He really a He had like huge monologues
and was great. He was really good. Like sounds like
they were throwing all at him or he had to
like you know, kind of improvise and stay different like jokes,
just kind of come up with stuff on the spot
and stay different I don't know, variations of lines and
(49:43):
was just killing it and like really making me laugh
and actually like he can kind of the emotional moments.
I was really like, Okay, so this is why you host.
That's why I think why you do this, because like
you're really you're killing it. I sorry, Chris, Like Chris
had said, like it was the same way that when
he kind of like walks into a scene in the
Bachelor and I just immediately feel better. I'm like, whoever
(50:04):
is stressed out right now is going to be less
stressed out because Chris is here, Like I felt that
way in our episode, Like he just had like he's
so calm, he had such a command over what he
was doing, and I was like, he's in his home.
Jump the fence. They said, where's Chris, where's Chrisma Chris.
(50:25):
You know when I saw like Colton jump the fence,
I was like, somebody get him, Somebody wake him up,
find him, Find Chris. Like you guys all obviously haven't
been on the show, because when you do see Chris
Harrison come into a room, you normally think something that's
going to happen. I feel better. I always feel like
he's gonna like make it all okay. Well, Chris told
(50:46):
me that he thinks that he thinks a latent sense
that he was like freaking out, So she said, let's
have ten minutes. Yeah. So we so we had done
like a little thing here and there, like throughout the day,
like had done like an interview, and we'd done a
rehearsal and maybe we shot like a little snippet up
the scene. But then we had this massive scene that
was starting like of course in the middle of the night,
(51:08):
like two am, and we were shooting in the decuzzy
and it was creezing and raining outside, but somehow there
was like a break in the clouds um, and I
was like, we should we should go through the lines
because I didn't know, you know, I didn't know that
he was a freaking professional actor. I was like, damn,
he like he knew all his lines. And I think
it really more for me. I was like, can we
(51:30):
just run this because it's like three or four pages
of dialogue and he totally didn't like like a lot
of monologues and stuff, and he was just really good
and super connected and super funny and um, so he
really didn't need the rehearsal. I did more than he did.
The uh lean and JJ, I gotta mention here, you're
We're in studio right now in Los Angeles after the
(51:50):
part one of the after the final rows, we have Tasha, Becca,
and Garrett in studio with us. Uh, fans of the show. Uh,
And I wonder are you ends of them? Because you're
fans of The Bachelor. I'm I'm total fans of all
you guys. I'm a little bit starstrectnoy that you're like
on the other side of the line right now, really
(52:14):
stealing lots of things, Like it's it's a lot to
have all five of you like on the line at once,
Like this is kind of big. I'm trying to cool
but and before we let me let you go. Uh.
There's a funny part in the episode where a kid goes,
what's a virgin? Well, would your answer v to that
(52:34):
to a kid either one of you? Oh the virgin? Uh?
I would say someone who hasn't found love yet, not cut.
That's a really nice answer. Hey out there listening Single
Parents on ABC Wednesday night. It's a Bachelor themed episode
with a guest appearance by the beloved Chris Harrison. Also
(53:00):
and JJ will be at the Live Bachelor finale tomorrow
in the audience. Are you guys excited to be in
the audience. Yeah, I can't wait, super excited my first
road ceremony. Will make sure you come say hi. I'll
be uh, I'll be sitting somewhere around there. Um all evening.
Also Single Parents airs on ABC Wednesday nights. Everybody listening
(53:25):
tune in late and j J. Thank you so much
for joining Almost Famous podcast. You got a great show
and I look forward to meeting you tomorrow night. Thank
you so much. Thank you guys, Bye, Thank you, Thanks
for having Thank you. All. Right, we've gotta get back.
Let's get back to you. We're gonna get back to
the grilling fest, right, but not really. I think we're
gonna light it up now. I think I have some
fun questions that we kind of like to wrap every
(53:47):
show with. Were you a fan of The Bachelor beforehand?
You know what? I actually started watching Ben season and
so yeah, and he still chows to go on now wait,
get there were some speculation in late August or early
September that Ben could have been the Bachelor. You know
did how do you feel about that? Do you want
(54:08):
it to be Ben? I mean that space, I'm not
looking at him. It's always a fun part of the
podcast because it was fun when I was single too.
For actually was actually kind of funny to put people
in weir positions because for a while I did think
about it and uh, and it went I mean this
(54:29):
year for the first time. I don't know if if
it would have been for sure me or not, but
it's the first time I even considered it again. And
there was a thousand reasons why I would have done it,
in a thousand reasons why I didn't. But Tachi, I
will say that watching you back this season, seeing how
you handled yourself and so you're seeing how you handled
the break up and jumping out of bungees, which I
(54:51):
think was one of the like I still am upset
with you for that. It was one of the most
stressful segments of this season. Watching you would have done
to you before are the job I would have never
done it. I would have finished this season then and
there you want to see me run for like, just
try to make me bungee jump not not not even
a good idea, But you handed yourself with so much
(55:13):
grace and so much poise, even up to the very end.
And I think that's why you know, the women last
week were so encouraging and supportive of you as a person.
So great job, You've made it. You're done. Oh my god. Okay,
well now that Ben wasn't the Bachelor, and Ben isn't
going to be on Paradise because he's a taken man.
(55:33):
Right now, who do you want to see in Paradise
from a past season that you think has a possibility
of popping up? You? Guys, not gonna lie. I haven't
even given this any thought. Really, like, you don't have
a Bachelor crush. I'm mean, let's think you've been watching
for since Ben's let's talk. Let's talk to this with you.
Let's take a second. All right, let's give me some names.
(55:54):
I think Peter Krause has been talking about you on
either Twitter or Instagram that he no, of course he's not,
but he just thought that you were super hot. But hey,
Peter is my neighbor in Minnesota and Wisconsin, so I
ever want to meet him? Okay, let us know he's
coming over. He's a great friend. What about what about
(56:16):
I mean, is not going don't cross him out? Yeah,
don't cross Dan out. He's definitely a possibility. Days ago.
He likes a bungee jump, not bungee jump sky he's
adrenaline junkie. Okay, just because I did on the show
(56:37):
doesn't mean a junkie. I mean he's cute, all right,
He's cute. I'm not getting enough anywhere. She's not. He
didn't hit the spot, Okay, Blake, Hortsman, Blake. Oh, she's
into it. Okay, Yeah, he's cute him tonight, I did.
I mean, and then there's a whole new crop. I mean,
I feel like, if we're gonna let's let's wait a
(56:59):
couple of weeks here, let's maybe bring um some contestants
potentially going on Paradise back. Let's rank what potential guys
are already that already exists in the Bachelor world that
could be a paradise. I mean, I'm gonna put Dean
and Blake up there, very very call Dean right now.
Let's call Dean right now and see if he'll he'll
get on the Bachelor in Paradise, and if so, will
he take Tashia on a date. It sounds like Dean
(57:21):
is already on the line. Hey Dean, heyy so Tasha
has you know, bungee jump? She's skydived at your skydiving place,
the place, the Paris skydiving, that that she's familiar, she'll
meet you down there possibly if you guys mutually seemed
to be into each other. Are you are you trying
(57:42):
to right now? She's on the line, Oh hey, oh
my god, I don't they incredibly awkward A little bit.
We have zero confirmation first off, of Tasia will even
be in Paradise, but we're just saying there is the potential, right,
I mean, her time on Colton season is now done.
(58:03):
She's done it well. She pursued love to the best
of everybody's ability. She found somebody that she was hopeful for.
And now obviously, just like we're doing this franchise, we
start looking ahead right away, moving on and sing Tassia,
if you end up in Paradise, Dean, is there a
chance you would be there? I mean, it's funny because
(58:23):
I'm literally watching she just got dumb. Uh, I'm watching that,
and at the at the reunion show, I was like,
holy cow, she looks amazing. Yeah, okay, Dean, you didn't
ask my question. You think she looks amazing? So the
attraction is there? Is there a chance of being Paradise?
I don't know, man, I think I have to sit
down and have a conversation to s about that before
(58:44):
I can really find wise. I need a vision father
of the franchise. Well, I need to sit down and
talk to Ben a little bit. I'm really nervous about Dean.
I love Dean so much, like I love this dude
like my brother. And I'm really nervous for Dean for
one reason, Tasha, you don't and like I would set
you up with with him in a second. I would
be so excited about that idea. But last week we
(59:05):
had some another a really great group of women in
on the podcast as well, and they said in live
and all of them like Dean, we know how what
happens with Dean. Like I'm nervous that this boy, this man,
you have so many women going after him that we
won't be able to protect him. Like he's such a
bighearted man, he has so much love to give. And
(59:28):
I can't watch another black box of Dean. Yeah, and honestly,
those are all my girlfriends, and I don't know how
I feel about going after another guy with all my girlfriends. Again,
you're on the Bachelor. Oh my gosh, you guys. I'm sorry.
I got the stress. But Dean, I do want to
ask you if if Peter has made any comments about Tasha.
(59:48):
Has Peter commented on not that I know of, Because
I saw a Twitter and Instagram, I thought you maybe
knew more. I don't think he watches the show, so
I would be surprised. I don't know. I think also
I forget his name now. Uh, Dean, we love you, dearly. Uh,
let's talk soon. It sounds like we've got a lot
to talk about, Dean. I will say what you texted
(01:00:10):
me last week. You said you wanted to catch up
this week and I haven't heard from you since. Man,
you ghosted me. I got in today, Dean, give it
a break. Man, Hey, I love you dearly. Dude. We'll
talk to you very soon. And uh, anyways, if you're interested,
there's a lot of women out there just saying, you
know what, that Dan guy. He seems pretty cute. But
I think they could all probably do themselves a favorite
stay as far away as possible. But I appreciate it.
(01:00:30):
I love you guys so much. I love you so much.
We love you so much. And um, we are going
to move on with this interview with Tassia right now. Tasha,
what was your favorite memory that didn't make air? Oh?
That didn't make air? Um? We actually okay, so a
(01:00:50):
little bit got shown is when we were getting chased
by the bat in the mansion. Did see that? I
remember the great because they have the doors open all
the time. Yeah, but there is like a bad problem.
There is like multiple did you guys see the rat?
What is there a rat? Yeah? It was well fed too.
(01:01:12):
I would have screamed, but no, there was bats and
there was a ton of bees, and um, yeah it
was I hate bats, like I hate hate that so much.
Then I look at them on Instagram and I'm like, wait,
they're actually kind of cute. They look like little mice. Yeah,
they're or like when they're curled up, they're like they're
(01:01:32):
like squirrels with wings. They're really not that bad. But
then there's something about them flying so like they can't
do there's like this just there lack of coordination that
freaks me out. I think wells have oftentimes have rabies,
so we've got to stay away from that. Yes, I
have two final questions for you, and uh and I'm
(01:01:56):
gonna ask one senator but Ashley, and then I'm gonna
close you out here. The last one is one for
you just riff off of this one is and I
do wanna. I don't want to just assume things. And
so once you have to answer it, is there a
change that you go to paradise? Um? Never say never,
but wouldn't you? Honestly, I've actually have never seen Bachelor Paradise,
(01:02:16):
so I don't really know what takespect. But it's all fresh.
I mean tonight is like, yeah, it's just a lot
to think about. I get it. I just you know,
we'll throw it out there because it's obviously we're a
podcast and we're talking about the Bachelor, so we have
to do you guys think I should go? Yes? Okay,
I don't think it is beautiful there. I think it's
do you guys? Yeah, Beck and Garrett do you think
that she should go? I mean I would say, if
(01:02:37):
you're ready to find love or other friends, then yes,
it's like a month long vacation. Yeah. I mean he
doesn't want that. I say, think about it, but then
go have a hell of a time. Okay. I'm a
big fan, and because I sit next to Ashley every
week for two years now or a year and a half,
I don't know how long. So it feels like I'm
(01:02:58):
a big fan of Paradise and Ashley speak to this
from experience, But I've seen friends from my season of
the show find their wives and now have kids. And
I've seen Ashley, my co host, find her future husband,
and a friend of mine from the show, I've seen
real love come out of Paradise, And so for me,
I'm like, why would you not give it a shot? Honestly, Like,
(01:03:18):
it's such a fun vacation for a month that also
has led to so many incredible stories of actual love,
which if we're all really being authentic and honest here,
isn't that where we do the show, it's very true.
I mean, I guess if my heart's in the right
place at the time right now, I just kind of
a little overwhelmed. Youve got a few months. Yeah, I'm
actually kind of excited to just be single and be
(01:03:38):
me for a little bit. So yeah, do you girl?
Live it up? Thank you? I little y show. What
does your dad say, Slash think about Colton today? Good question.
He just goes this guy, That's what my dad says,
and he just he thinks he's awesome. But um, and
(01:04:00):
he still friendly believes that you don't mike relationships, and
he says, I told you so so. I mean that's
that loved that expression. So good. My dad said his
favorite hometown was yours. Really yeah, he thought he really
thought your parents were sweet and genuine. They're pretty cool,
aren't they. They seem to be cool. I mean they are.
And I get my spunk from my dad, and I'm
(01:04:20):
as modest as my mom. So very nice. Hey, uh,
I have one last final question. I need you to
just riff on. But before we do that, Ashley, can
you tell all our listeners out there about Article? Did
you get your article furniture? Would you order? I ordered
a lamp? Um? Here's the thing. My lamps are very
(01:04:43):
old in my house. I don't spend a lot of
money on my decorations. Did you go to like a
thrift store to get it? Um? And so I had
to replace it just so it looks a little nicer inside. Okay, nice? Well.
Article dot Com has a whole bunch of beautiful, well
made furniture. It's based on scandinavi in simplicity. It's beautifully

I got my new rug in this week. Why did
I need to get a new rug? Well, my dogs.
My dog is going through adolescents and I didn't know
that there was such thing as teenage dog gears, but
it is, and she's peeing everywhere. They say it's very
common for like dogs around eight months. Anyway, so I
(01:05:48):

Speaking of home decor, Jared and I, as you guys know,
or at least Ben here knows, we are working with
(01:06:56):
Creton Barrel for our registry. And I just updated some
items because, like I mentioned, the dogs are peeing on things.
I'm like, okay, kind of get that. I'm I gotta
get like a new we gotta register for a new
rug for that room. We gotta register for some new
pillows from that room. We have a dog trainer coming
this week. So but I don't want, like, you know,
(01:07:18):
peace soaked items in my house, especially when Jared I
are married. Because we're married, I want our place to
be the cutest place to unwind and relax, especially our
bedroom with daylight savings time. I have been sleeping in
a bit like this morning. I didn't realize that I
slept until eleven, and it kind of affected my work day.
(01:07:39):
I had a lot to cram in, but um, getting
one less hour of sleep it wasn't fun. But getting
to spend it in some really soft comforters and sheets
and blankets from Cranton Barrel that was that was pretty fun. Um. Well,
today Jared left me because we're thirty six hours apart
(01:08:01):
right now. It's very sad. He's at a viewing party
like in Palm Springs. I know we have very bad
separation anxiety. Anyway, let's go back to the bedding. It's
super soft, premium cotton and it makes me feel like
I'm sleeping on a cloud. Jared too, and our our
dog that likes to pee on the bed um. And
(01:08:24):
I'm very excited right now that when we wrap up
this podcast, I'm gonna go home, get back in those sheets,
get in the bed and then have to wake up
at six and for access. But whatever, at least I
always have a place to look forward to get back into.
And if you guys are engaged and you need to
set up a registry, I highly suggest starting your crate
and Barrel registry. I'm talking to you Garrett and Becca.
(01:08:51):

how would I buy these glasses? You would go to

Thank you so much for coming on podcast. Thank you.
Um before you go looking back in your time now.
Uh it is over and just for NYM out there listening,
it's fresh. We just watch it tonight, but it's been
a few months. Um. You just saw Colton this evening.
(01:09:35):
This wasn't easy on you, but you held yourself, like
I said earlier, with grace and poise. How do you
explain your experience on the show. Was it worth it?
And do you regret anything? Um, I don't regret anything.
I think I, like I said earlier, late, it all
(01:09:56):
out there and because of that, I think I agree
tremendously and I am now what I used to call
with some of my friends on the show is tage
a two point No. UM, I'm just doing everything in
life bigger and better and I'm in a really good headspace.
I I'm really striving to do the most with my
(01:10:17):
life that I've been given. Um. I feel like I've
gotten a second chance and I'm just I'm excited for everything. UM.
As far as my journey, it was hard. There was
a lot of emotions. UM, it was a roller coaster.
But I'm so happy I went on the show without
a doubt. You've mentioned a prayer journal. Yes, UM, I'm
going to assume that you were one of faith. We've
(01:10:38):
talked about tonight, uh in the dressing room before we
were out on the live show. Is one of the
common themes that we hear from people that go on
the show and that come off the show is that
they feel like they've lacked identity or purpose because you
have this massive explosion of attention and love and support
from fans, and you have this relevance and celebrity that
is unwarranted and also unexpected, and it last a while.
(01:11:01):
You know, we're doing this podcast for two years now
and we love every second of it. But but actually
I talked about often as well as it's humbled. We
we've been humbled over the years at how new groups
come through, new bachelor's come through, new groups of women
and men come through, and slowly but surely you get
pushed behind. So for you, as a woman of faith
and a woman that has is brand new and fresh
(01:11:22):
to this, what purpose and what identity do you want
to be? What do you want to display moving forward
with the platform that you've been given. Um, honestly that
God is everything. I would not have been able to
overcome half the things I did if I didn't have
my faith. While as on the show, UM, I didn't
(01:11:43):
have my parents. I only had me, myself and God.
So I prayed a lot and I think that that's
where my light and my joy came from. And UM, yeah,
So I hope that I have that platform to show
others that you have it deep within yourself as long
as you have faith and you stay ground in. It's
basically ta, Yes, you're beautiful. Thank you, thanks for coming
(01:12:06):
on the podcast. I appreciate you guys. Thank you for
good job. Don't we have to do sermons with Ben
serv series HIGs. I will say, Ben, you kind of
remind me of my uncle Gary, who is a pastor,
a miracle of Uncle Gary. Remember like N. D. M.
C used to be in the tub and like do
his own little like yeah, he would do it on
(01:12:27):
his little BlackBerry, Yeah, in the bath the bubbles, and
he used to have like dear God like I do
remember that, Yes, it was so good. I do remember
that you should have like a little that's one of
those trays that go across the bathtub with a glass
of wine, bullet pop work from crane barrel. Can you
imagine if that was actually your career? Is I'm making
(01:12:50):
a show by sitting in the SuDS in a bathtub,
in a warm bath, drinking wine, eating and just sunking life.
Sign me up. I have made would not complain um Tassia.
Thank you. Garrett and Becca, you're one of our favorites.
Were on the dry here and I said it to
him and Ashley and I've talked about after we left
(01:13:11):
last time. You guys are salt of the earth, like
you are what I would dream for Bachelor couples to
be coming off the show. You have spread so much
joy and love, and you've been on this podcast twice
this season. We only have one more episode left of
Colton season, and so this is kind of our conclusion,
and I feel like it feels weird to wrap it
(01:13:32):
because it doesn't feel that long ago. It doesn't feel
long ago. And I gotta say I've enjoyed every single week.
Oh my gosh, it's been awes. I've been looking forward
to getting every screener we get. I'm like, oh, yeah,
get the part out what happens. It's truly like giddy over.
We got excited again about the Bachelor. But it does
ash and we meet most people to come off the show,
I think, and it always affects me differently. Maybe it's
(01:13:56):
a little faith in humunity or faith in what you know,
our identities and purpose have been in for a while.
When we meet people like Tasha and Garrett and Becca
who sit on this podcast, and I leave being like, oh,
there's a good community of people out here who came
off the show, like we're gonna be all right, like
the this isn't all drama, This isn't all just fun
and games, like this is real and we're okay, such
(01:14:16):
good people. We're so blessed to have this circle. That's
so awesome. So um. One of the reasons we can
put on this podcast is because of Sleep Number. You'll
