Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hello everyone, it's another episode the Almost Famous Podcast, and
I am sitting with two people that I'm so excited
that I'm sitting with both of them at.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
The same time.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
It is Justin Glaize and Susie Evans, And yes, I
will be grilling them about their relationship because there's no
way that this is a versus friendship, because I feel
like you guys are the new Ashley and Jared, which
I hate to refer to myself in third person, super awkward,
but also like this friendship is just too close, too fun,
(00:35):
too flirty, too good on screen to not be more.
What is going on with you too? I don't I
don't butter you up and then get to the hard questions.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
If you can't tell she jumped right in.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
I know, I can't say we didn't see that one coming.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Justin has done.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
I think, you know, maybe it's naivete, but I don't
think it's that far fetched for a guy and a
girl to have a platonic relationship. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
And so we're in the opening scene of When Harry Metz.
Literally I feel like we have this banter like constantly of.
Speaker 5 (01:12):
Like, Okay, I know Justin's like dying to date me.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
I don't mean to like basically I've been rejected time
and time again, like.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Basically, like I know it's this bit where he just
pretends like we're just friends, but like I know him
the one, like he's going to figure it out.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
But this is it, and this is it.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
You're seeing it.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Why isn't it happening?
Speaker 5 (01:40):
One day he's going to wake up and he's going
to realize, like I'm the love of his life. Or
maybe I'll start dating somebody and you'll like stand up
at my wedding.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I don't know there was a time, honestly, I do regret.
I think it's a couple of weeks ago where Susie
did try to kiss me. I was a little nervous
a lot. There's been times where she's like shot or
shot you know, and vice versa.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
You got to paint the picture. Where was it? Because
then up on the spot.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
So I was at her apartment and we had just
probably finished filming a bit, and I was sitting on
her cream sofa and I was tidying up while she
was editing something. And then I sat down. She came over.
She had her her cannon camera and she was scrolling
through the pictures and she was like, do you like
this one? And she played it real smooth, like she
(02:31):
was leaning in and like her hair was kind of
laying on like the side of my face and my
shirt was.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Like so you noticed that?
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
I did.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
And I was like, okay, she's got some game.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I was trying to kiss you.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
What were you trying to do?
Speaker 3 (02:42):
I was trying to show you a picture?
Speaker 4 (02:44):
So why did you like close your eyes and pucker up?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
You're you are so dumb. This is so funny.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
But you guys recently went on a date basically to
the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Chargers.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yes, and Susie not a Ravens fan, not a Chargers fan, Miami.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Fan, Miami fan.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
My family is like my dad's side of the family
is from Miami.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
So yeah, okay, so I get it. Yeah, that's why
I'm a Giants fan.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
So her dad was not happy about that.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
He was not but I take Susie and not one
of your guy friends if it's you know.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, literally, he asked me.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
I was like, yeah, I did, so I'll tell you
that's a great question. Ashley.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, I'm sure it is.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
I think I think we genuinely do enjoy experiences together.
We have very similar interests. This one's a bad example
because it was literally your first football game.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
But that is your first NFL game. Yeah, first ever. Wow,
that's so cool. It was really fun to experience together.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
I'm like, gave me new experiences, like yeah for.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
This one, and this is gonna be her first time
hearing this, so I'm sorry, but like she was the
third option for this one. So, you know, ever since
Rodney's been in his flourishing relationship, we don't see him
much and I get it. Know he's happy, he's moved
on from myself and Nate. We miss him dearly. And
Nate is in Toronto for a modeling shoot. So I
(04:09):
looked around and I'm like, I.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Really only considering his bachelor friends for this literal Yeah,
I'm like, oh, you don't have other friends.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
He had to make it a moment. This is a statement.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah, I'm not getting right now, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Trying to gaslight you.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Kind of working? Just kidding.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
So you guys are very aware of the speculation out
there and the comments on your Instagram videos as you
guys do use each other as partners and like a
lot of content, and the content is so good.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
We love it so entertaining.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
And you guys, I love somebody who can do an
add well and you guys do adds.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Really well together.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Now do you like the comments? Do you indulge with
the fan.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Frenzy?
Speaker 5 (04:57):
I think yeah, I think, I think I do. I
think it's funny to like banter back and forth. And
I mean we both like tease each other online. Like
I just saw a comment on my way here where
somebody was like, oh my gosh, like wife her up
or something, and you were like, yeah, she wishes, Like
I do think it's funny. I also think, like on
(05:20):
a serious note, like if either one of us, we've
always sad this where it's like if either one of
us were to get into a relationship, like our dynamic
would certainly have to change.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, that's what Jared and I always use to say.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Yeah, interesting, Yeah, actually it actually has come up.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Well, she had a relationship over the summer, well.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
She did, but it was actually you can speak to
your experience, but after her relationship over the summer, we
were both single. But I was sort of talking to
somebody and you know, we were doing you know, tiktoks
and little fun bits per usual, and the person that
I was talking to, like it was pretty displeased by
(06:00):
kind of felt some type of way about you know,
our content, and it was like, you know, I guess
insecure about our friendship. And I was like reassuring, like
we have not done anything, like we're friends. It's like
a funny bit with like fans whatever people that comment.
It's like a running joke. But we did have a
discussion like, Okay, if I if either one of us,
like you said, were to answer into a relationship, it
(06:20):
sucks because we're such good close friends, but like that
part of our really like dynamic would have to change
that they would no longer be joking about dating obviously,
if either one of us were in a relationship. But yeah,
I was, Yeah, it was. It was interesting to navigate.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
And I think before I didn't really know about that
until that literally that one night that he told me,
and I felt and I felt bad and sad, like
I didn't even know you were really talking to anybody,
like I just I just didn't know, like, you know,
we just like talked about it, but I definitely would
want to be sensitive to that, and like even not
(06:55):
like not just not joke about it, but like I
just would want to be like considerate of somebody in
that sense. But I also think it was different when
Andrew was a part of the bit and it was
like very blatantly like transition, who is it going to
be yes to?
Speaker 3 (07:08):
It just really is.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Just yeah, he's bowed up and let me let me
clarify when I said it was like literally maybe like
a week and a half into knowing this person, you
know what I mean. So it was it was like
very early stages of talking to somebody, like we were
not dating by any means. That would be super disrespectful.
So just want to clarify that it's only somebody who
I had just met. And was like, are you sure
you don't have a girlfriend. I was like, what are
(07:30):
you talking about? She was like that girl you do
the TikTok. I was like, oh my god, no, Like, okay.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
You don't have to be that aggressive about it.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Well no, but I was just like I was like
I didn't even think twice. I didn't even think about it,
you know, But yeah, it was it was very interesting.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
So if you one of you got into a serious
ish relationship and the relationship had to change, how would
you feel? How do you think you'd feel or would
would somebody suddenly develop feelings? Because like that's what happened
to Jared. Susie jealous too, but Jared was the one
who turned to.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Be jealous in that moment. Maybe I just need to
get a boyfriend.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Then I already tried that.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
And I always say that people come to you for advice,
like how do you get how did you get Jared
to turn around?
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Like?
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Come around?
Speaker 2 (08:24):
And I'll always be like the real telling thing is
if you get into a relationship and that guy, if
he doesn't care, he's never gonna care.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, girl can get a boyfriend.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
That's so funny. I think if I, like, I do
think it would be sad. I've said this to you
before not to get emotional. And I know I'm literally saying,
like joking like, oh, you know, just make up one
day and he'll realize it's me.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
But I do think like.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
The reason why we wouldn't like cross a boundary or whatever,
it would be like if we were to cross that boundary,
we couldn't just go back to being friends and then
like we can't have anything casual, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Again, not to keep relating to myself, but that is
exactly what how Jared felt.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
That's that's it feels true because I'm like, Okay, you
can either come. It sounds so dramatic, but I'm like,
right now, you come into my wedding someday, but if
you kiss me, you probably can't come to my wedding
unless you're my husband.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Yeah, yeah, unless you're in bragular nation, which it does
get a little weird.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Because that's true.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Well, Jared had Caitlin in the audience, who he kissed
anybody else, No.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
I feel like and I feel like it's kind of
different when it's like show based, you know what I mean,
Like when you start a relationship on a show or whatever,
like kiss off camera, right, like we chose this in
the real world, if that were the case, you know
what I mean, Like, that's where I feel like we
would both want to be like, yeah, we would either
like lose the friendship over it, or like they would
just like change everything.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
So which is sad. Yeah, it's like, you know, it's
gotten to the point where you know, like my mom
sees all of our stuff and loves Susie and I'm
in the DMS with her dad, you know, and it's
just like it'd be such a life change.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's tricky though. It is tricky navigate.
I sometimes think like this probably prevents us from finding
something serious. Yeah, you know, like I think that anyone
could see my social media and think that you're my
significant other and so like if that's how people are
meeting people like I could, I think it would prevent
(10:38):
us from finding somebody to an extent. So I don't know,
it's like a tricky thing to navigate. We're you know,
leaning in and having fun with it. And I think
sometimes like we see each other as uh coworkers a
little bit, like we truly work together and we truly
like help each other with content and like ideas, and
like he's helped push me so much with my creativity
(11:00):
and my like film and video and photo stuff, and
like I feel like I've encouraged you to really pursue
your passions. And we we like technically work together a lot,
and that's super important and special. So I don't know,
it's like it is tricky to navigate because I do
think I constantly feel like, oh, I'm like so uninterested
(11:22):
in dating, and like I felt that for so long.
I'm like, maybe it's because I have like a really
great platonic friendship that kind of emotional needs and.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Like I was joking earlier about you'd be in the
third option obviously.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Yeah, think you.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
But it's it is so it's like Susie's so easy
to be around and hang out with that it's like
I choose to spend a lot of my time with
her because we do have so many similar interests and
she's so nice and encouraging, and it's like those things
where you know, not that our relationship is based on
like content, so like we talk about a lot of stuff, right,
but it's that person where it's like, you know, if
we're in a silly goofy mood, like hey, you want
(11:54):
to like films some real quick, and it's like some
of my friends will be like rolled eyes, like you're weird,
but it's like you don't want.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
I think, Jared, oh god, okay, really, what did you
just say? You said you're getting fulfilled? Yes, I used
to say that, like Jared was my boyfriend who didn't
touch me because we used to just like we one percent,
Like we would call and like talk about our days,
and it was just one percent. That section of my
life was fulfilled, except there was nothing like physically happening.
(12:23):
And then what you guys just said about like there's
nobody else that will do like those silly skits with
you same here, okay, And I'm just gonna throw it
out one I'm gonna move on to another topic. I
could just make this entire interview about this, because it's
really interesting and you guys are really open about it,
and I love it. But there's also something juicy I
(12:44):
do need to ask susday. So, but one more question
about you too. Have you really never.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Kissed really never kissed?
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Oh, Justin definitely, He's like, you know, I remember that
time one time I thought Justin was gonn kiss me? Though.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
Remember when, Okay, I told you this story about a
guy that said it was you were building help me
build furniture in my house and I just kissed a
guy that said I know what I like, I know
what I like when I see it or something like that,
and he was a friend first, and he kissed me,
(13:20):
and I had just like it was the night before
and you literally did the exact ending like jokingly making
fun of him, but you literally came running from you.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Like I thought you were doing. We do play and
I didn't know that that was the name of the
game until you said it was chicken. You know what
that is?
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Like, you're gonna get you.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
See whoever backsaw first?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Yes, you just might just like you think you're dating.
I think it is a bit. And you know what
that does.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
It builds up the anticipation and then like there's more
sexual tension at least all the sides of the couch
that I'll paint.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
That picture for you, all right.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
So to wrap this, let me ask Susie her my
juicy question for her.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
So we Ben.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
And I recently we did roast Clayton a little bit
when he had his paternity tests come out and he
was not the father.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
We definitely had some fun with the Mary jokes, and
then we.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Also thought okay, and then we also just thought like
his video was quite cringe.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
What was your take on it? I know that I
know what you said, you know, I know you said
you were like happy. Yeah, he's like relieved from it all.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
I think, honestly, I hope that like the truth prevails.
That's how I feel because I feel like I had
a bit of insight before everything. Like I had seen
him at a brand event and we caught it before
going because we knew we both were going to be there,
so like kind of one of those things, let's get
(14:56):
ahead of it and like, hey, let's like catch up
before we go so it's not awkward when we see
each other.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
It had been a while and.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
He told me this and I felt just like devastated
for him because I was like, you can't catch a
break and I I don't like I said this publicly before,
but I'm like, I don't think he's a liar, and
like I really felt like he was being targeted by somebody.
And I was just like this is so bizarre, like
(15:22):
so wild, and like how is how is this like
happening to you again?
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Kind of like it's public. Wait, but what do you
mean again? Because was there something like very similar in
the past.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
Yes, So like when we literally the day before he
was moving to Virginia, I was flying into Scottsdale. I
was filming a wedding in California first, and that was
flying Scottsdale to drive with him across the country, and
some girl posted on TikTok that she had slept with
him the night before, and I and then but she
was like very nonchalant. She was like it's a former
bachelor or whatever. And then in the comment she's like
(15:56):
it's Clayton eckered. And then everyone's freaking out and it
like makes headlines whatever, and she went down like to
like to the grave, swearing that it was him.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Until she slept with before the Bachelor, No, the night before.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I was supposed to go like I remember the story,
but I do need the details were from yes, yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
So like then as in like I'm filming a wedding
in California and Clayton had supposedly like slept with this girl.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
The night before.
Speaker 5 (16:21):
Yeah, And I remember thinking Gabby and Rachel were on
their cruise for bachelorette and everything else, like their room
for a third like damn, like they still got room
on the cruise or something. Because I was like, yo,
I just put everything on the line for this man
and he's just slept with this girl.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
I was.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
I was like distraught, and then location services everything like that.
I basically was like, give me your evidence. Because like
this girl is swearing to her grave that she slept
with you last night, and like, I don't want to
be that girl. That's like, oh, I don't believe the
woman that's dming me and like, hey, girl, like I'm
so sorry to say this. I didn't know he had
a girlfriend or whatever. So like that made headlines that
(17:01):
wasn't pretty traumatic for him coming off of the show,
which was tough for him, Like he just.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Had a tough go at it, and it's all been public.
That's the thing is.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
I'm like, if somebody really cared, they d m you.
But for someone to go on TikTok and blast you,
it's like that's for clout. You know why why why him?
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Easy target?
Speaker 5 (17:22):
You know, he was my target of many. I'm just
saying he was the butt of many of my TikTok
jokes for a long time, you know, and I like
adore him. I think he's a wonderful person. And like
at one point, I like we were contemplating. He was
like maybe somehow my this is so much team I
seamen did get into that crevice and somehow I do
(17:43):
have two twins on the way, And I was like,
I'm gonna be a great auntie and you are going
to be a great dad, and like I will support
those children, like you know what. I was like, I
will be like I will think the world of them,
and like you know, we like had this conversation because
we're like, well, maybe this is a freak accident or
something of this girl went in Turkey based it herself.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
That's what I was saying. I was like thinking, I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I remember in college thinking like what if I sat
on a bed that a guy just done? And then
like somehow it seems through my does it touches air?
Speaker 3 (18:14):
It's got like seconds or something.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
It maybe fifteen, but like I look it up, you
can put it in your mouth and then put it
in a baster.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
And then because it's all about the temperature.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Oh that's a long time. Yes, that's crazy.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
I look at that and oh god, I can't go
to details. But I was like, there's a scenario in
which that could have happened. And the way that that
went down that.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Night, we know we know that there was some moral
Yeah exactly, like it's come out, so it's like it
could have happened, And.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
So in my brain, I'm like you never know what crazy.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
So that's why I was like, maybe she is pregnant,
but like I believe you that you didn't have sex
with her, and like it's just a lot, but I
just hope. I honestly said this on a podcast recently.
I wouldn't mind being the person that like does a
documentary on this because this is not the first time
she's done this to a man.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Oh okay, well, Susie is going to do the documentary
because you're so good at.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Storytelling, so let's do it. Maybe not fair?
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Wait, really, can you be like the on screen host
on screen?
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I can see that you.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Don't want to do the hosting. No, I would love
to do like the producing Wait wait.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
I have this idea, and I'm not I would get
in trouble if I said the origin of the idea,
but we should do like crime stories that came from
the Bachelor, like not like from the Bachelor, but like
from contestants and like their backgrounds juice.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
So yeah, wait, there's another. I was like, I need
the origin after this is.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
I'll tell you.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
I'll tell you what I think people might be Like,
I know exactly what actually is thinking because I've been
thinking a bit for like eight years she's been on
the show Anywaykay bye guys, this was so much fun.
I appreciate all the juice that you just asked
