Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
with I our Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Today we have two special guests. We have Gary and
Jack from The Golden Bachelorette. They're here because this week
you've seen them on the episode of the Bachelor and
they were part of prom. Guys, we're so excited to
have you here. And Gary, we're very happy to have
you out in our almost name As retreat in Carmel, California.
(00:30):
So before we start talking about this week's episode, we
got to know about your flirtation. It was a Cathy
that you are getting a little flirty with.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Oh no, oh no, it wasn't him that that was
our other brother was Keith.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
But it was all innocents, no real flirtations happening.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
We were all just becoming closer friends. But our producer
is saying that perhaps you.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Were holding hands with Kathy at some point, not.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Speak.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
His journey back was for an interview. They were both
late for an interview, and.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
You know, no, that was what's not dying mistaken.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
This is too good and his sound is too bad. Hey,
if you couldn't quite make that out. He was denying
the fact that he was holding Kathy's hand during our
Almost Say Miss retreat. He says it was some other friend,
but our producers say otherwise, Jack, you have said that
(01:46):
you would do a Golden Bachelor, a Golden Bachelor in Paradise.
In a split second, you'd say yes. So who would
you be looking for to be there? From the Golden Bachelor?
Do you have your eye on any particular ladies?
Speaker 6 (02:01):
I think Christine is absolutely beautiful.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Hey Jack, what about what about Susan?
Speaker 7 (02:07):
Susan and me talk all the time, but you know,
we didn't have when we met, we didn't have a
great I mean, we had a good connection and she's
a great lady.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
We just again, we talk all the.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Time, Okay, who who was into?
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Who?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
There?
Speaker 3 (02:25):
It was Susan trying to get with you? And then
you're like, h not really my vibe.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
No, I don't think it was either one.
Speaker 7 (02:33):
I think I mean, Susan's a great lady and she's
got everything going out there and I mean she's all
over everywhere. But I think it was and we're both
I mean, it's not like I'm not interested in her
and god, I got to move my thumb and yeah,
she's just a really nice, nice lady. But do I
(02:55):
you know Christine is is beautiful and I really like her.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Are you possibly talking about Christina? Yeah, the blond haired Basedina, Yes, Christina?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Okay, Christine.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Is that something between you two that you call her Christine?
Or have you just never met her before?
Speaker 4 (03:14):
No?
Speaker 7 (03:15):
No, no, I've met her, but you know she corrected
me because I don't know.
Speaker 6 (03:19):
I called it Christine.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yes, and he continues to do so.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Even after your recent correction. Christina.
Speaker 7 (03:28):
I tend to screw up a few things, but it's okay.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
We still love you, bro, We love you.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Where did you meet Christina in person where she corrected
you on this?
Speaker 7 (03:40):
We were in Hollywood, not Hollywood, but yeah somewhere, said,
I think it was the Men's Tell all.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
Somewhere in there.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
And you got her number?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Oh yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
We talked and we text back and forth.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yes, And do your plans to meet up again?
Speaker 4 (04:00):
We do at some point in time.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
We don't have anything right now because I'm in Florida
and she's in California.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Gary.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Anybody on your list besides perhaps Kathy, that you would
like to see in a Golden Bachelor in Paradise.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Well, there's a couple of three, but you know, Nancy was.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Pretty Nancy love Nancy.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
All of our favorites is Nancy.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
And I gotta tell you she sat next to me
at the men tell all, but she wasn't feeling well and.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
I said, I wonder if that's is that me?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
But I tend to find out she was really not
doing so hot physically. But we took a picture together
and it was it was pretty special. So Nancy's Nancy's amazing.
She's a good Christian lady, and she's great person. As
(04:57):
you saw on the final episode with Joan and Chalk
and was it the counselor for Joan, just seems like
an overall great.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Person, stunning inside and out.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
It seems yes, Okay, Well, even though I would love
to interrogate you guys about your favorite ladies from the
Golden Bachelor and who you'd like to you know, maybe
like cuddle up.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
With, I am here to talk about your behind the.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
What you've seen, what you saw behind the scenes on
The Bachelor this week.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
So you were part of.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
The prom Rose ceremony cocktail party. Who did you think
Grant was hooking? Grant was hitting it off best.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
With should I go first? Jack? You want me to go?
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Yes, You're always the better speaker.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
No, come on, come on, man, I love you for that.
But nah, I think uh.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
I thought it was gonna be Zoe because they seemed
like they were really hitting it off in a good way,
and she's seemed like, you know, just such the a
good fit for him.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
So for me, I thought it was Zoe. Okay, Jack,
you know, I thought it was Zoe.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
But then all of a sudden, he had all that
conflict and everything, So I don't know if I don't
know if that's going to be What did you.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Guys particularly see about the Zoe interaction that stood out?
Speaker 5 (06:23):
What I saw was just the personality with what she
was bringing to the table, and and it seemed as
if Grant was kind of leaning that way even though
he has to spread his his love with all the girls.
I thought that him and Zoe were well, it just
(06:44):
it just seemed like there was a potential connection there.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
This is really great insight. Do you think otherwise after
watching the first few episodes, have you been watching?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
I have been, Yeah, yeah, I have been too.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Okay, So what's your take on Zoe's future?
Speaker 5 (07:03):
Well, it's starting to fade a little bit. It's starting
to fade a little bit now. Who it's just such
a coin toss, you just I have no idea. I
have no idea. They've done really well at holding our
at piquing our interest as to who he may who
(07:25):
we may pick.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
So I don't know, So, Caroline, I thought at one
time that that was going to be, but I'm not
sure on that either anymore. So, you know, it's kind
of you know, on our show, I think it was
more how can you say we had favorites right away?
Or I thought we had favorites right away, And I
(07:48):
think this one kind of bounces back and forth to
who the favorites were.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Did you guys know that Chalk was gonna be, like, say,
top three really early on?
Speaker 5 (08:07):
I say because because from that first one on one
date that Chalk had with Joan when they went to Disneyland,
I thought at that point that guy is in position A.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
He's in position.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
One, because I mean, when you win, guess where you
get to go.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
I'm going to Disneyland. So I thought he.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
And the fact that he was my roommate, so I
was pulling for him and Guy, both of them. So
it was great to see them both in the finale.
But yeah, I at first I thought it was going
to be Guy and then Chalk and then Guy, and
then I said, yeah, Chalk has this. There's there's something
about him that she absolutely needs and loves.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
So that that was my inition.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
So that's interesting because I know ever understood how Guy
was getting so far, but you definitely saw it in person.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Yeah, yeah, go on, Jack, your turn?
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Yeah go on, Jack? Why is this funny?
Speaker 7 (09:11):
So because I tend to agree with you also, and
I like Guy was a very nice man, but it
just didn't seem like he was the you know. I
mean again, I thought Jack was the you know, Jack
was the front runner.
Speaker 6 (09:27):
I thought Jordan.
Speaker 7 (09:29):
Jordan's you know, he's you know, in great shape, he's
good looking guy, he's got a great job.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
I thought he was. This would have been a second.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
And yeah, Okay, of the girls that you met there,
did one stand out to be just the nicest and
friendliest to you?
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Christina? Of course for me, are you talking about.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Get off of Christina, I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
I'm talking about women.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Oh, Jack, you're you're the best man. I'm glad with
Jack classic.
Speaker 7 (10:09):
Because it's because anything I say, you look better because
you speak.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Well, that isn't it. It's just you. You're great. That's
all I can say.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
I'm just glad that I get to feel your laughing
and being so gregarious with.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
You, and you know, and I miss you. That's that's
all that is. That's all.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
Good.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
But okay, So but for me, the one that I
saw again, I'm gonna stick with Zoe her person.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
She and I spent some.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Time together talking, however little time it was, but she
really made an impression on me as well, So I
gotta stick.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
I know, I'm stinking with Zoe all.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
The way through, Zoe all around.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
What can I say? Man, were you I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
You're just not crushing on her because she's quite stunning.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
I'm not crushing on those young girls. No, they they
still have a ways to go. So yeah, nough to
be our grandchi. Exactly, Thank you for that, Jack, Yeah exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Actually, technically possibly yes, because everybody had kids young, like
say you had.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
A kid at twenty five, then your kid had a
kid at twenty five.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Yeah you know, Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I don't
know about grandkids, but definitely grandkids, guys.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
It's not grandkids. Just to be quick, girl, math in
my head still not grandkids.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Right, No, not grandkids. I'm not that old.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, thanks Jack. All right, well, let me ask you
quickly if you saw anything about Latia, because to me,
Latia is the front runner.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Lati was a sweetheart. Yeah, she was a sweetheart.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Seemed very passionate and very uh just a fun, outgoing personality.
So yeah, I can see why she would be absolutely well, Tilla, Oh.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Haven't you haven't contemplated Latia as being a finalists Natia?
But I will now, Okay, I guess my final question
for y'all is was there anything that happened that was
worth mentioning that didn't make air? Gary will go with you,
since apparently you're the better one speaking.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
What didn't make air was just being back in the
mansion was in and of itself just a serren like
especially yeah, especially that I had the use of my
telephone because we were sequestered no tele communication devices whatsoever.
(12:54):
So being in the mansion with my phone and talking
with the guys around the fire place that didn't make
any of the edits, And then wanting to go and
be involved with the program, but being required to just
stay in the room we were in.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
It's like, I want to go out there and party
with these guns. Well, no, we were in the room.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
That we had to stay in while they began their
other their other things that they were doing, and I
wanted to be out there with them, so we had
to kind of hang back and do our thing. But
it was it was great being there. It really was.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Fast going back and not having the nerves but getting
the nostalgia.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Totally, totally, totally.
Speaker 7 (13:47):
And by the way, while I was there, I counted
the candles. Does anybody remember when I said seventy two candles?
Speaker 6 (13:54):
Anyway, there were seventy one and that was just a.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Guess, candles in the entire house during a cocktail for me?
Speaker 4 (14:02):
Or where are we talking on the one wall?
Speaker 6 (14:06):
On the wall?
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Yeah, And the funny thing about that is I'm looking.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
At Jack, He's standing there in school.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
He turns, he says, Yep, there's seventy one candles up there.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Jack, who cares about the stupid candles?
Speaker 5 (14:26):
But you know that was also spits a lot of
time sleeping at night.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
This is the best way to end that podcast. There
are seventy one candles on the wall. Thank you guys
for your information and your pure entertainment.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Hope to see you soon.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
On Paradise because maybe Paradise Senior Audition needs to actually happen.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
That's a beautiful thing. That would be a lot of fun.
God bless you, thanks for having me.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
God bless Ashley.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Bye.
