Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Golden Wedding. Yes, we are here, We are excited,
and I am with one of the best people in
the world. Well's Adams.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Hi, Ben, how are you? I'm ecstatic? Are you? I'm ecstatic?
That's good.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
We get to go to a wedding tonight. We've been
too many weddings together, way too many weddings a lot
over the last few years. I went to nine this
past year. That's your problem. You have so many friends.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
I'm taking no more friends. We are not accepting any
more friendships. And we're only allowing married couples to be
our friends unless they're getting close to.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Like divorce something you've spoken about.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
If they're close to divorce, we're not taking them in
because there's a chance there might be another wedding and
we can't do it multiplies.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, how well do you know Gary and Teresa? I
don't know Teresa very well. If I'm being honest, I've
never met her. I've met her and I think now twice.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
She's very love I met Gary because we did a
like a premiere night. Because BP and Golden Bacheler premiered
the same night. So we went to like a party
and I got to hang out with him and his.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Two daughters, who are really, really cool.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
So I'm very excited to celebrate the nuptials of Gary
and Theresa.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
You know, it's kind of the give of getting married
on national television in the Bachelor world, where people who
have been on the show before get invited even if
you don't necessarily know them.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, and I've been around Gary multiple times now.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I did a whole shooting with him that never got aired.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
We did a whole day together where we went to
watch parties, was never on television.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Wow, really they cut something good. It was good. In
my opinion, it was fantastic. Yeah, I believe it.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And and so you know, I got to spend that
day with him, got to be with him last night
at the bar. And so one of the deals with
kind of the Golden Wedding or the Bachelor weddings in general,
is it's reunion. Like we're seeing people here who we
don't get to see that often. Like I can see you,
I could see Dean and Jared n Ashley, but other
than that, there's a lot of people here I don't

(02:13):
see very often.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, and that's always a lot of fun. I think totally.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Caitlin Bristow came into the bar last night and never weird,
always exciting, very weird because you dated each other on TV. Yeah,
she's sweet. Yeah, she's in the headlines right now. It's
been a rocky week, a lots going on in the world.

(02:40):
Is everything good with you and Jess fantastic?

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Thank god?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, yeah, so Caitlyn was here, she's you know, obviously
so many people somebody people are speaking about. Also, we
have to play golf today with Chris, who is married
to dez Yeah, that's exciting.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
He's so cool, so cool.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
So by the way, like so we played with Chris
and then Jason, and there's a bunch of people here
that were like before my time and that like I
didn't watch the show then, okay, and so it's lovely
to meet them. But like I have no perception of
like I didn't watch Dezra season.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I didn't watch Jason was a Bachelor, right, I didn't
watch those seasons either. I mean I was young, yeah,
like very I mean I was Jason was the Bachelor Easton.
Can we get a year that Jason Mesnik was the Bachelor.
I mean it's it's gotta be two thousand and nine.
So that's yeah, fifteen years ago, give or take some months.

(03:40):
You know, I was eighteen years old. Yeah, I wasn't
watching the show. Oh yeah, but it's so nice to
meet them. And we were talking with Jason on the
ride back from the golf course and he was like.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah, I've got a kid in college. Whoaah yeah from
the show.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Right.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
He married Molly who's on the show, and so like, now,
I guess that kid, his kid is going to be
on the show in like four years.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And then they came in they can join families back
in the day, Jason had had some kids before. Oh
really yeah, so they you know, brought the family together.
And now that you know he has a kid in college,
which is wild to think about. I don't even have
a kid that you know of, I know of.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I have a dog. And then Joey, the next Bachelor,
played golf with us today. Do you want to say
his last name?

Speaker 4 (04:27):
No idea, I mean either I'll call him Joey G.
Not even gonna try.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I mean it's like garoppolo Joey G. Yeah, yeah, he
uh he's really awesome, super sweet guy. I'm beautiful green eyes.
He's he's really hot.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
He heard it here for as looking dude, I'm just
happy that I beat him in golf today.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
You just I'm throwing that out there. You played great,
just so everyone knows if.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
You want people to know, Yes, Wells is really good
at golf, and he beat me again. I beat you,
but more I'm moreover, I beat the like the young
stud the yeah, the new country club tennis pro at golf,
and that makes me feel really good and so well,
from here on out, he's gonna have respect for you,
which is such a big deal. As he should, Yeah,
he should. Don't mess with me. Joey g Dean and

(05:14):
Jared and Tanner as well along with Adam Gotchak. We
all played golf. It was a great morning. So as
we get less than fifteen minutes away from this wedding,
we are on the verge of walking down the aisle
on live television to celebrate Gary and Trees, so which
we said, nobody here will at least you and I.

(05:35):
It's odd that we're here. We don't know them super intimately. Yeah,
but we are part of the same Bachelor family, and
so it is a reunion of sorts and we're excited
to be here and celebrate them. What are you most
excited for tonight?

Speaker 4 (05:52):
The drinks? And I happen to know who the band is.
I'm excited for the band. It's the Dan band, who
like if you've ever seen wedding crashers or I think
they were all some star skiing hutch you know you
know what I'm talking about. Yeah, they like add cuss
words to some beautiful love song. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

(06:15):
It was in the rehearsal thing last night and I
got to see the damn band perform and I was like, Oh,
this is gonna be really really fun. Okay, yeah, so
the band, the drinks, yeah, the community, the company, and
the love do you get I mean, you've went to
nine weddings this year.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Do you still get emotional when you see? I get
emotional every wedding.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I will say that, Yeah, I am a softy. It'll
be interesting because I saw how the wedding's gonna go.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I don't know if I will.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Be as emotional as I as I normally would be,
but I think that, yeah, I think I'll probably score
it out a couple of tears.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, I always do.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Like weddings are such a It's one of the things
that always brings something out of me.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Did you cry at and Kaylen's Oh yeah I did too.
Did you cry at Harrison's Oh goodness, yes, yeah I
did too.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Did we go to any other wedding together this year?
This cry at my wedding? Oh dude, I was bawling
at your d Oh. Yeah, Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Your wedding was very emotional because I mean it was
a beautiful setting obviously. Yeah, There's been a lot of
time in between leading up to the ear wedding. Yeah,
And I just think it's cool to see a friend, yeah,
like make this commitment to somebody else and to know
what that means. Because I've been married for two years,
so I had been married when I went to your wedding,
and so to see, like friends make the commitment too,

(07:34):
to know the good and the bad and also but
the beautiful that comes from it all is emotional to me.
I don't know how tonight will be because Gary's, you know,
in his seventies.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Teresa is in her sixties or seventies.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, but I think I'll be as emotional as ever,
we Wills are getting the Hey, let's rap because we
have quick Yeah, we have ten minutes to be checked
in ready to go walking down the aisle. And so
when somebody listens to this, they'll know that you and
I are getting prepped to walk to close out. What

(08:08):
is your going to be? Your like mental? You're a
good golfer and so you have a swing thought. What
is your walking down the aisle thought?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Today?

Speaker 4 (08:15):
I want to get some WD forty for that door.
My swing thought for walking down the aisle? Well, I
have to do some like like Bartender bit, so I
want to get done with that, okay, uh, and then

(08:36):
I think.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
It will be.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
I think I want to be the shoulder that you
cry on tonight because I think that you and I
are sitting next to on another we're dates. Well yeah,
because both of our wives didn't come to this. So no,
I'm excited. I'll tell you this, man. I have been
so incredibly impressed by Gary and like his ability to speak.

(09:00):
He likes such is such a natural order, and so
I imagine the things that he's going to say are gonna
touch a lot of people like they have on the show.
And I know that like obviously like their vows will
be very amazed, amazing. But I do know at the
end of the ceremony he is going to give some
big speech to everybody, and I don't know exactly what
he's going to say, and I'm excited for that. So

(09:21):
I think that my swing thought is just to like
be really really excited for what's to come present.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yeah, okay, should I take off my shirt on live
television night?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
I would love that? Okay so much?

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Let's do it, all right? This has been the Almost
