Speaker 1 (00:00):
iHeart Podcasts bring you the ultimate Summer of Love Tree.
This is Famously Available. Hey, it's Ben with another episode
of our new favorite series, Famously Available that is all
about finding love for Mercedes Northup and Deanna Pappis. Today,
I'm handing over the hosting duties to another Bachelor National alum,
(00:23):
Rachel Rekia. She's jumping in to take over and find
out what kind of guy exactly is Mercedes type. I
also sent them off to the Bottle Rock concert to
maybe see how Mercedes does out in a setting where
she can mix in mingle. I can't wait to hear
how all this went down. So take it away, Rachel.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I'm Mercedes. Well, I'm so excited to do this with you.
I know we have so much a chat about him
because I feel like we dated the same exact people.
Our types are so different, So are you going to
give into it? And with that being said, we are
here at the iHeart Verbo podcast house and we are
absolutely loving this Italian inspired villa. Mercedes, what's been your
(01:09):
favorite part?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I love the pool. The pool is stunning. I know
we cannot wait to dive in now. Literally after this,
we are going to be by the pool for.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Long time, truly like stepping into a dream. This is
just one of their amazing properties you can find on Verbo.
Check out their twenty twenty five vacation rentals of the
year and book your next getaway on the Verbo app. Plus,
you can earn rewards with their one key program. It's
a great deal. Okay, Mercedes, Today we're going to do
a deep dive into what your type is. You're putting
(01:40):
yourself back out there and there's a lot of bad
guys in the pond. So what are you looking for? Like,
what is the age range you typically like today? I
like to go a little older.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I love that, yes, because I feel like men's brains
are like behind like.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Six years genuinely are.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
But plus no.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Literally, so I definitely like a little older. I would say,
like thirty to thirty five. It is like kind of
what I look for, ready to settle down, ready for
kids hopefully.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
But then again, I'm like, do I want kids? Yes? Okay, yeah,
me too, like tooang to like look for like a
guy who wants that as well? Do you like younger
at all? Have you ever tried dating you? No? I
haven't ever.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
No, I mean like I've maybe talked to like a
couple youngers, but I'm like, I don't even take them
seriously because I'm like, there's just no way I love
a younger guy.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Actually, I'm literally dying because we have like these same
ex boyfriends on the show.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Literally. Yeah, No, I'm definitely older. If I had to, Okay,
I choose for sure.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Older, could have been married. Would you ever date someone
who's been divorced? Yeah, if it's like a I don't know,
it's so hard.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
I guess it just depends on the situation, like if
it's like still messy and they're like in it still,
because you know, like after divorce sometimes you can still
like have ties to everything.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I feel like it's ever really over in that situation,
like especially when it happens young. Yeah, like I know,
what did you do? First of all? What did you do?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Read?
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Say?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Where was that? Seriously? No, actually I need to know
what happened because that's like a huge thing. I've thought
about that before.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah, because they're like, yeah, why didn't it work out?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Like what happened?
Speaker 6 (03:25):
What?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
No, I definitely would have I wouldn't be open to it,
but I would have to know, like a lot of details.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
What about if they like had kids and we're doing like,
would you date someone that I already had kids? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah, just because well okay, because my mom had me
and then my dad dated her and I'm like, oh
my gosh, like he was like the best thing that
happened to me. So I feel like I would definitely
love that.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah. Yeah, and I love kids. Yes, I can see it.
I can see it. Okay, we obviously want to get married,
we want to have kids. All right, let's get down
to like situations. So if a guy said his last
relationship ended because he cheated, would you still date him
he cheated?
Speaker 6 (04:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
This is a tough, tough no. That actually is really
tough question. Have you ever been cheated on in a relationship?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Not that I know of, but I have like a
feeling that we all seriously yeah, not that I know of,
but I don't know. I feel like the saying like
once a cheater, always a cheater is kind of like
real it literally is. Yeah, So I'm like, Okay, if
you're gonna cheat on her, then you'll probably cheat on me.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
And like what was she doing that? You felt? Because
there's always a story, Yes, Like even when my situation happened,
Like when I got cheated, I was like, oh, because
she was acting this way then I had always want
to blame. They always want to blame. So it's like,
what are we going to be doing when they cheat
on us?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yeah, you know it's always there's always a story to it.
And I'm like, no, you just you're just a cheater.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yeah, can you like be loyal for one moment? Sorry,
like I'm being a little bit negative, but men just
they they need to be put in their place a
little bit. Yeah, especially with this dating pool and the
dating pool that me and Mercedes are in, especially like
spin on reality TV, Like they you know, they're interesting.
I feel like we could go on about that. Okay,
(05:16):
do you Oh, I feel like you would? Do you
like you have with tattoos?
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I do?
Speaker 2 (05:19):
I feel like? Yeah, I like imagine Mercedes type is
like rip from yellow.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Sea, Yes, literally to a tea and he could like
throw you around, Yes, exactly like that.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
If you're ripped from Yellowstone, please hit up my friend Mercedes.
We are on the lookout for some cowboys here at
Bottle Rock tonight and with tattoos.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Yes, Okay, this is a good one too. Does height
matter you A short key? I know.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Actually I've dated a couple like not short. I would
say like five eleven, which is that considered short?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Tyler was five eleven? No, he was he. I don't know,
there's no I feel like me and him were like
same height, not same, but I could wear heels.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
He probably be like, yeah, well when I wore heels,
we were like the same height. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
So I'm like, and I'm five seven, Tyler, how tall
are you?
Speaker 2 (06:12):
He's like, I'm fully engaged. Nothing And I don't blame him.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, you know graduations by the way, you know, right, No,
they're Yeah. But so my first ex he was like
five eleven, so he was a little shorter.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
So I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
I mean, I definitely like love like a tall man.
Like when I see a tall man, I'm like, whoa
like you like get bumped up a little bit. But
I don't think if.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
He was shorter, I'd be like completely cut him out.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I feel like with a tall guy, I'll let more
red flags, like saying whip through the cracks because he's tall,
And it's like, how are you supposed to get a
guy he's tall and perfect? Literally he can get away
a little more. If you're six five, that's so.
Speaker 7 (06:54):
True that every inch you are above six foot the
more more so true.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
And you cheat, I mean, don't, don't. Don't do it again.
Come on.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
But if you I love and't do it, you're out.
It's drinking.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
It has to be perfect. But not taking wooden date
because he doesn't matter a guy of course not. Yeah, okay,
So what are the biggest red flags you won't tolerate.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I feel like if they like talk like crap about
their family, Like, I feel like that's such a red flag.
Like if you're like especially like your mom or something.
I don't know, unless the situation is weird.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
No, it's so true.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
I feel like, ex yeah, honestly, just talking about anyone.
I feel like that's like if you have like a
negative like vibe about that, and.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
I'm like, like, that's a red flag.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
But I don't, like, have you ever dated a guy
that like didn't have a lot of close friends kind
of one them?
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, because I went on his friends later on, but
you didn't have like friends from childhood.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
And I'm like, that's right, it's.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
A little weird. Yeah, that's kind of something I look
for and I'm like, Okay, who are your friends? Like,
what are your friends like? Because if they don't have
a lot of people that want to be close to them,
and like, what's wrong with you? Yes?
Speaker 3 (08:17):
No, And like your friend group like tells so much
about you, especially as you get older, Like if you
look at your friends, you'll know, like what the that person's.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Like, because you really are like kind of a mesh
of like the people that you surround yourself with. Yeah yeah, no, genuinely,
I could think of so many red flags though, been
on TV? Would you date someone else who's been on TV? Yeah?
I think so. Yeah. Yeah, so that's not a red
flag for you yet?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
After she goes on farmer has a wife. If we
don't find her husband, I'm at Bottle Rock. That's where
she's going next.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Okay, who's your celebrity crush?
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Okay, this is kind of a hot take. Okay, I
want to hear it. Wait, I see it.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
I think she's into the funny guy I am. I
think he's literally so funny, Like I genuinely have like
a crush on him.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Oh my god, we soun like all personality.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Yeah, I mean he's I know, it's his personality he's
it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Sometimes guys can be like like you first see him,
you're like, Okay, they're not that cute, and then they're
so funny or they're like and then they're amazing yes,
and you're like, oh wait, you're hot.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
No.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I feel like because when I like first like started
like because I didn't even know who THEO was like
two years ago probably, and then he likes all the
podcast Sometimes I just like wanst to see him on
like TikTok and stuff, and I think.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
He's so funny.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
But then like I feel like i watched like three
tiktoks and I'm like, oh my gosh, like I love.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
It now, like you we slid into his DM.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
No, I'm too scared. Why he lives in Nashville though,
THEO if we were.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Listening to this, please slide into my friend Mercedes. Wait,
we're doing that later after we have three glasses of wine.
We'll be like the Oh my gosh, have you ever
had a celebrity guy slide into you? DMS? Definitely have Yeah, maybe.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I mean I feel like in Nashville there's just like
like singers and stuff, but no, no one.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Like huge Okay, no cowboys.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
No, I don't think I would date another singer. I
will say that because I dated a singer.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
What was it about.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
They're just just not Yes, that's a red flag for
me because they're like up and coming, like the fame seeking.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Sort of a thing.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yeah, and they're just like very.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Just so focused like on themselves and nothing else matters.
Because like when I was sating my ex, he was
like obviously like trying to be a whatever.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
And I told him, I'm like, you're trying to make it,
make it nash literally.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
And I asked him, I'm like, okay, so like five
years down the road, if you're if we're still like
where we're at, where we're at right now, like and
I'm ready to be married and like start having a family.
He's like, oh, yeah, no, that's not happening. Like I'm
gonna do my thing forever until I make it. I'm like,
so you'll be forty and still try and he's like yeah,
I'm like okay, yeah, No, he's just.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Like putting himself first him. Yeah, Like there has to
be a give and take, and you're just not feeling
that with the country singers.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Yeah, And I feel like they're all like that, so definitely.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
That's where they go to, like this you make it
or you don't.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
I know, yeah, it's a crazy And.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
What would you describe like physically, like what do you like?
You like nice teeth? Eyes?
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Like what is it about? I love good teeth. That's
like the first thing. I look at his teeth, Like
I really pray attention to that. And then I like
dark hair, like dark features, and like pretty eyes like
and I like eyes, yes, And I just like I
love a pretty boy, unfort it so unfortunate, but I
love a pretty boy, a pretty boy but also a cowboy. Yes,
(12:04):
I know, like I need you to be able to
go home to Isla and like be on the farm,
but also like you need to be secrety.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yes. I feel like my type is like I love
the pretty boys and I'm trying to like get away
from that because that type has not been working. So
we need a pretty boy who also thinks he's not
Like I also don't want him to think he's prettier
than me.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
True, and no, I know it's so unfortany like these.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Guys want you to chase them and like pay for
dinner and like they want to be princess baby girl. No,
you cannot be. There's baby true, but don't they know
it's so true. There's an epidemic. No, princess baby girl
running around is in Natshurville. No, it's so scary. It's
truly what is going on out here? I don't know. Okay,
(12:53):
if a guy mean flirts, is that a turn on
or a turn off?
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I think to pens mostly probably turn off.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah, I feel like it's only okay when we do it.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Yeah, Like I'm like, what what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
You can't believe me?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Yeah, like that's crazy. Yeah, No, I feel like that's
a turnoff for sure. Definitely not unless we're like, yeah, no,
actually there's no excuse.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah no, we're done with that question. Okay, Like this time,
I'm actually really excited to hear your takes. So, guys
who cry, do you think emotions are hot or does
it give you the oh my gosh, she hates it?
Oh I hate it. I hate it so much like
you hate it the emotion.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
I know that like meme where it's like the girl
with the broom and you're like they're they're like, we
don't know how you Yes, Like.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
I don't know, I just don't know how.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
To like, like I'm like, why you're in aries? Yeah? Yeah,
so you're very fiery, so you can't deal with like.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
No, like I feel like I'm like with my friends,
I'm really good at emotions, but like guy or like
guys that I'm talking to or like yeah, like it
happened on the like there was someone that cried on
my shoulder and I was.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Just like who was there there?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
It was, Oh, why am I forgetting his name? That's
so bad. The first guy that Kyle wanted to.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Do with will well yeah, no, which was so sweet,
like Angel he is he's very emotional and he's so sweet,
like I love him.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
But I was like, this is just not for me.
So you want to be like or do you feel
like you're emotional like.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
It's a partner, Yeah, but only when I get really comfortable,
like not out of the out of the gate.
Speaker 6 (14:31):
No.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
So you need someone like that's going to be there
to support you. You don't want to like be the
one like coddling all the ashes. But once in a
while was fine. She's like you can cry once a
year and I will tell it no more after that.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
No, And obviously like I would like, I'm good with
the emotions, but I just I feel like I have
to be like connected really deep to be like, oh
my gosh, like let me like take care of you,
you know, totally, not just like if it's like a
crush your cry and I'm like, oh, if it's again.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Like you like he's like so emotional because he was
like he's like yearning, he's crying. No, Okay, next question, Okay,
are you looking for someone who identifies as religious or spiritual?
I know you are religious, yes, so is that something
you are also looking for in a partner that's really
important on the same page for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
And if they're not, like I just want them to
be open to religion, like they don't have to be
like practicing or anything.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
But if they're like, okay.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Like I respect to you, like I respect what you think,
and they're like open to whatever, then I'm okay with
that too. It's not like I need like someone who's like.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
The same exactly. Yes, what if it was someone who
wasn't religious but like fully supportive of you and like
was like I'll go to church with you, I'll like
bring my kids up in the church wherever you want,
but like I personally am not that religious. Would that
be something you were okay with or you feel like
I'd be okay with that?
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, just like open. Yeah, that's actually really big. I
think that's a huge question. I always forgot to ask
that on the show too. I know I always forget
to ask that too. I was like, oh, I should
have probably right about that. That's really important. Okay, what
kind of hair do you like and a guy short,
long color? Would you ever date a bald guy? A
(16:15):
bald guy? Would you?
Speaker 4 (16:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
One of the girls from our show, she's about to
get married and her future husband is bald and it's
actually kind of hot. Yeah, I think it can beard. Yeah,
I don't think.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Yeah, I feel like I mean, it would.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Just be depending on how he rocked it.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Yes, for sure, he would have to have the vibe. Yeah,
oh my gosh, Yeah, for sure. I used to love
a man with long hair, Like if you had a
man bun.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I don't see that in college. In college if you curling, no,
I literally.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
But like seriously, for you had a manba And like
same with the six five, Like if you had Amanda
and you could do whatever you like I'm like, this.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Is the most shocking vision you. Yeah, I cannot see
you with the longer guy.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
And I still do like kind of like not like
long as long as I did in college, but like
a mullet like one of those like ough.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
I was gonna ask, okay because the mullet and mustache
is like so a thing. But it like kind of
like started in like Nashville like that like the country.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
Says Riley.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, I'm kind of into it. I'm so into it.
Is it still in? There? Are the guys like changing now?
Speaker 3 (17:18):
No, literally everyone looks the same in Nashville because everyone
has the mustache in the hair.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Wait, I love that. Maybe I need to come to
Nashville just because I just want to look at them
like truly. Okay, when it comes to making moves, do
you like to be bold and take the lead or
do you like men who are more forward.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
I like men who are more forward.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Me too.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
I like feeling like a little princess that's been like, you.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Know, pursued. Yeah, I feel that we want to be
pursued so bad and like it's just not like when
I go watch at the bars, like I cannot tell
you it had to be like over a year ago,
last time someone came up to.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Me, Oh, I know, No, it's actually crazy. No one,
none of the guys are not coming up.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I know.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
That's why people said, like I need to go like
to meet people, because apparently they go up to you.
Yeah they do, which is like what why is that
happening over there but not here? Like what did we
where did we go wrong? I think culturally?
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Like, well, so I was in England like last year
with my friend Jill, and we would just be walking
by a pub and guys like start trying to talk
to you because I think they just it's like normal
for them to talk to everyone. Yeah, and it's not.
I think here guys are like afraid to be rejected.
It's not as like normal to just talk to everyone. Yeah,
which I wish it was. It would be so much
easier to meet someone, and it's just way more fun.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Like I want to go out and I want to
meet people, like even if I'm not like we're not
like date like trying to date.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Just like just meeting a friend.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yeah, it's not like even that doesn't even really happen.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Do you feel like in Nashville, like cause there are
like a lot of bars. Is it still hard to
like meet a guy out in that scene? Like guys
are just what are they doing? Just sitting at the
bar drinking a beer?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, and like, well, okay, because Nashville's also starting to
get like very like clubby a little bit, so like
it's like tables now too.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Oh my gosh, I could not do another club. I
think I'm over the moment.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Yeah, you know, I just moved to East Nashville, which
it's like more like that Bari which that is like yeah,
more chill, like they're just.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
Like drinking beer, chilling at the bar, playing pool or something.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
But they're not coming up to you. No, are you
on like any of the apps?
Speaker 4 (19:16):
I'm on Riah, but r it's just not oh my, I.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Can't get on right what I've been on the waitlist
for Riah. I've heard three years. Are you serious? They
hate me?
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Oh my gosh, wait, what have you tried?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Like I heard Hinge is good.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
I had Hinge for like two days and it was
a very scary place.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Brown met her and she told me, Yeah, she was like,
you need to get on Hinge, meaning to do it.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
We okay, maybe I should give it more timey.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Maybe I'm probably gonna send you into like a spiral.
Speaker 7 (19:44):
She's gonna meet the worst right of her life on
Hinge and it's gonna be my my ice on Hinge.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Actually, did you before the show? Oh my god?
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Maybe we But like where else do I know people? No,
it's crazy. I don't know dating shows not it. Maybe
it could work when she goes on Farmer's Wife, but
next time, hine you guys, I'm riot her don't like
talk right.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
No, And it's like you match with people that are
like in London or like I live in Nashville.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
It is speaking of a guy international texting, phone calls, FaceTime.
How are you when you communicate?
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Go to I like calls. I think calling is fun.
I like FaceTime too, but also like FaceTime.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
You need to tell me when you're in a.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
Facebook exactly, like it cannot be a random FaceTime.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
No, I have literally see just my eyes, like I'll
be like, yeah, what's up? Genuinely, do not call me
without letting me know. Okay, this is a big one too.
What's your love language? I feel like quality time?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Yeah, like I like to spending time with you, and
it could be like just random things like going to.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
The grocery store. The grocery store. Yeah, just like everyday things.
I also love.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Okay people hate when I say this, but like gifts like.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
If you but not like if they're thoughtful.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Yes, but it's like, Oh, I was walking on the
street and I saw this bookmark and I like got
it for you. I'm like, that's so like that makes
my heart like so happy. I'm like, oh my gosh,
you thought, like the little thing.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, it's a thought.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Okay, So wrapping it all up because I feel like
we've like gone over so much. What's the biggest thing
you're looking for right now? And a partner? Like if
you had to design your perfect partner, what are you
looking for?
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Someone who is just like nice, easy going?
Speaker 3 (21:38):
The bar is so low, no, the bar, so let's
give a little bore the perfect guy.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Perfect guy besides just being a good human. I don't
know someone who just I don't know, has a house
and a car and a job.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah yeah, someone who like has their life like on
the right track for sure.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
I honestly though, like when I think about it, I'm like,
I just want someone who like is again on the
right track. Someone who's nice, has a good family, wants
kids and his cue and a cowboy.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And is that too much to ask for people? No,
it's not. We gotta find him, and we're gonna find
him tonight at Bottle Rock. I feel like we have
a good idea of the kind of man you're looking for.
And we're about to head out to the concert, but
we'll keep our eyes open. We're gonna go meet some
people and have fun and we'll check in with you,
guys after we've had five glasses of wine and let
(22:38):
you know how win. Thank you for listening. We just
got back from Bottle Rock. We are multiple glasses of
wine in We have so much to discuss, but right
(22:58):
now we are live from the iHeart Verbo podcast House
at Bottle Rock, and again, this place is so incredible.
We're in the Villa Montabella, one of Verbo's vacation rentals
of the year in twenty twenty four, and it is
everything you could dream of. I also cannot wait to
go to sleep here tonight. Seriously, the wine Cave is
(23:18):
insane And if you want your own amazing vacation rental,
download the Verbo app. And check it out. They're twenty
twenty five vacation rentals of the Year. Trust us, you
won't be disappointed. This place is amazing. Bottle Rock has
been amazing, and I feel like we have so much job.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
So much talk about where should we start? I don't know,
should we start with?
Speaker 2 (23:41):
I don't know? Okay, So on the way to Bottle
Rock though, actually was development in mercedes dating life. So,
like you know, any single girl, We're here at this
gorgeous pool and we both posted thirst trap.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Obviously you gotta do it. You gotta post the thirst
you and the.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Goal is to get the swipe up, and it's always
from one person. Yes, and we got you know, the
one person.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
We succeeded there, but then it was kind of downhill
from there.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
So basically what happened was Mercedes got the swipe up
from this guy that she has been kind of interested in. Again,
like she's a single woman, yes, and and anything is
up for grabs at this point. But he swiped up
and he did flame emoji O the flame yes, yes,
and so she just what did she just like I
(24:38):
just liked it because I'm like, what do you say
to a flame? You like? Respond?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
To that. Right, if your guy listening to this, don't
do a flame. It's you got to like say say
something more at least just like shoot your shot. Yes,
but they love the flame emoji. And then what did
he write back?
Speaker 2 (24:53):
And when this is all happening on the way to
the way, Yes, yeah, what did he?
Speaker 6 (24:57):
So?
Speaker 3 (24:58):
I just liked it because I was like, what do
I say to that? And then he said are you
staying there? Are you staying there all weekend?
Speaker 2 (25:03):
No?
Speaker 4 (25:03):
Because I can't open his most recent message.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Oh okay, So he said are you staying there all weekend?
And then I think I was like, I'm coming home tomorrow.
And then he said are you coming to Nashville?
Speaker 4 (25:14):
And I lie, okay, so and I say, yes.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
He's going on to Nashville. But we were telling him
she was so when he asked her out, she could
say she wasn't available. She's so busy, busy woman with
multiple plans and if you want to get on the itinerary,
you have to get in the schedule. And what did
he say back? I don't remember what he said, see
(25:40):
you there?
Speaker 4 (25:41):
Oh yeah, see you there or see you here? And
I was like, see me where?
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Like what do you mean, so I didn't reply, and
then he did it again and he was like when
when are you getting in town or something like that.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, and so Kaylin who is married, so we trust Kaylens.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
She's got the ring, so she has all the insight
on how to how to command down.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
She said, he's being sassy, so be sassy back. And
Mercedes said, I missed the part where you asked me
on to date, yes, which I think was a great response. Yeah,
it really was.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
And then he said, oh yeah, I did forget to
do that or something and I'm like okay, and then
which was like so weird. And then I said the
schedule is filling up and then he was like okay,
like meet me here tomorrow blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
But so we got the response we wanted. It just
took twelve hours and four women and there's several classes
of wine. But that, you know, that is modern day
dating really, not that it's stuff out here. While we
were there, because Mercedes is single, we all had our
eyes open.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Yes, I had three wing women with me. It was
it was really amazing.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Every single guy we saw were like Mercedes, this guy,
this guy.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
But literally everyone like had girlfriends. I feel like there
was a lot of couple people there. Bottar Rock is
definitely an older crowd.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
It's definitely more of like a relationship type vibe, I
think for sure. But we did need someone. We did,
and Mercedes did get his number.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
I did.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yeah, actually, Genevieve, I think.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Yes, woman, she did. She went up to him and
she's like, are you single? And he's like yeah, and
she's like, oh, I have the perfect person for you.
And then she took me up to him and he
was really nice and really cute.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
So tell us about him. Well, first we saw him
and Mercedes kept running away. No. I got so nervous,
and I'm like, Mercedes, I'm going to go up to him.
She goes, give me three minutes, and then she goes
to the complete opposite side of the venue.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
No, I really did.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
I ran away, but eventually I got a name. But
then yeah, and then I met him and he was
really nice. He lives in San Diego. What's his name, Christian?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Right? Yeah, it was. Did you ask how he was? No,
he was younger, because I want Mercedes.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
She wants the younger man so bad.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
I think sometimes the younger guys when they're with an
older woman. Not older, yeah, but like they're like, you know,
they try harder, and I think someone really needs to
try hard for you.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
Yes, no, I agree.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
I think I'm gonna I would give a younger man
a chance after after you're convincing, I'm down, I'm down
to give it a try.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
I'm giving you the worst advice ever.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
You guys exchange number? Yes we did. I haven't texted
him yet. Should we text me right now? Should we
text him right now? What should I say?
Speaker 6 (28:36):
Like?
Speaker 3 (28:36):
We should say it was it was so nice to
meet you. What are your plans this weekend?
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Okay? And then he doesn't have to know really read tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
No, they never have to know what our next move is.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Wait? What was his name? Christian? Why can't I find it?
I'm more sabes. You do not saving it?
Speaker 4 (28:56):
No, I definitely did he put it in my phone? Right,
there's there's.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Roll, the taps, There's little that happened while this is happening.
To this point, is talking to Mercedes full camera in
his face. So what am I saying?
Speaker 4 (29:15):
So nice meeting you tonight?
Speaker 2 (29:16):
This is Mercedes? Okay? Wait, Kaylin, because Kaylen is married,
she don't know the word that comes out of my mouth.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
No, Kaylan is so good okay, but it doesn't have
to be anything.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Ye, this is Merdes is so nice to meet you.
What are your plans this weekend? Send? I'm so scared? No,
just what do you have to lose?
Speaker 4 (29:40):
No, you're sorry?
Speaker 2 (29:42):
He was really cute it you sent it? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Wait, I have a question. Whenever you like send a text,
do you just want.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
To throw your phone? I do throw my phone.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
No, literally, whenever I send a text, I literally want
to chuck my phone and just like not look at
it for we.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Did he get your number as well?
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Or you?
Speaker 2 (30:00):
He just hit it on my phone? So he's fully
probably waiting and his friends are probably like, did she text?
Speaker 6 (30:06):
He was with his brother and his sister which was
his brother Yes, brother was was good.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
Looking, yes, and then his sister too.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
They were like, which is so cute a little family,
I know.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
I love that. And they're all from probably not, but
they probably live here.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
I think he said he was from here.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Well you talk to what what say?
Speaker 6 (30:26):
No?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
I kind of.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Blacked out a little bit, like I'm scared. I was
so scared running over actually was and like Mercedes if
they say they have a girlfriend and said, we could
just say, oh, it was for it's for work, it's.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
For a podcast. We're not actually serious.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
We're fully serious, like we're actually ready for them. No,
I think yeah, I think he said he was from here,
but he lives in San Diego.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Which is perfect as our friend Jess lives there and
Mercedes needs an excuse to come. You know, Jess, as
you know our new part. I know your.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
New boyfriend lives there now, right, so I guess I'm
moving to San Diego now and.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
She's married and she's gonna have a baby. Like that's
it's locked out. We're just waiting for this response. But
besides that, we had a great night. No, it was
so fun, so much fun.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Bens boone, I love him so many backflips and flips.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah, he was, and he sounds even better in person.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
And you know, he was dressed up like Marty McFly.
He was so he like we were talking about earlier.
He has the mustache and the mullet. We were talking
about that we wanted Mercedes to slide into Benson's DMS.
But he fully has a girlfriend. We asked chat GBT.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
We did and we found that out, so we're respectful
and did not do that.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
But exactly was looking good. I will say he was
looking great. And then we just hung out. We drank
some wine, had some food. We actually did see another
Bachelor alumni there as well. Matt James was there, and
he was very nice. He was nice. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
I had never met him before, but he was he
was really Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
He came over, he said hi to everyone. I forgot
I had met him one time at Dancing with the Stars,
but I fully introduced myself again and he was Yeah,
he was really, really nice guy. I forgot why he
said he was here.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
I know, I kind of forget too, probably running some
marathon or something. Yeah, does he run marathons?
Speaker 2 (32:16):
I think so wow? And he like, could you ever
run a marathon? No? I can't even get up off
his couch.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
Same. I wish I was a marathon girly, Like, I
feel like that'd be so fun, but I'm like, it's
just not.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
It's not for us. It's not for me. Here for
drinking wine and like that's way more my vibe, which
is exactly what you could do at this verbal this
verbal podcast house. And it's been absolutely amazing. We had
such a great time. Some guys DM slid in texted
(32:48):
mm hmm. And whatever is to come, you guys will
have to say too, Yeah, I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
I'm excited too, say he's married. Anything else to think?
So I feel like we hit everything. Tonight was just
really fun. Always saw Justin too, just.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Like, oh yeah, we saw Justin really good.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
And Genevieve running Away started playing. Literally, it was so funny.
Beast night ever.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Thank you about a rock. We're excited to see what's
to come in Mercedes Love Journey.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
Until then, I'm Rachel and I'm Mercedes
