Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's Almost Famous podcast, and I'm back today bringing you
all the latest happenings in Bachelor Nation. Today producer Heather
is going to join me to break down all of
these headlines. We're very lucky to have Heather with us
today because she is the one that puts these together
for us, so she is an expert in all things
Bachelor Nation right now, Heather, do you feel ready?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Ben?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
You give me too much credit?

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I would say yeah, I feel motivated and ready and
lots to cover today in Bachelor Nation, That's for sure.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
There is some of the things I'm most excited about.
It's going to be talking about not only new life
being brought into Bachelornation, but also the New York City Marathon,
which is this weekend. And I am increasingly impressed with
people that run a marathon, and I might have to
commit to doing it next year because I've been vs

(01:00):
the last two years of those who do it.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Literally was going to be my number one question for
you is if you've ever ran a marathon or you
have any desire, especially when we get to it. What's
kind of been made public after I'm wondering how you
feel about that?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, it's I don't know if I could answer and
have a desire. We'll kick it off with this. The
New York City Marathon was this last weekend. It happened
on Sunday. We had a ton of Bachelor Nation stars participate.
One of them who has done it consistently and I've
always admired him as a person. I've gotten to know

(01:37):
him personally. His story had multiple dinners, and I've just
enjoyed sitting with him. He's rumored to be dating Caitlin Bristow.
We cannot confirm or deny that rumor, but Zach Clark
has I think, given me a very calm, not direct,
but a very consistent sales pitch to do this. If

(02:01):
you know the story, Heather, Zach Clark runs an incredible
rehab clinics in out East called Release Recovery, and running
has been a big part of his journey to recovery,
and he kind of brings in people that are a
part of his program to run it with him year

(02:22):
after year after year, which I think is so cool.
Like I think there's nothing cooler than when you find
a healthy habit something to like go after. But he's
brought more and more people from Bachelor Nation and kind
of his fear into the running world. And if you
sit with him for five minutes, you're going to be
convinced that running is the best thing ever and that
you should do it and it's cool. He's made running cool.

(02:45):
I don't know how, but he has. So let's break
this down, Heather. We had we do have a long
list of Bachelnation participants that did the New York City marathon,
So take it away.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
So first one, Joey gars Day, uh, you know, was
out there also talking before the marathon that he, you know,
was feeling a little bit nervous and he was out
there running with Tanner or Ted am I saying that right, yeah, Anner.
And and then you know, obviously we had grocery store,

(03:20):
Joe was in there, Taysha Adams, Tyler Cameron, and Matt James.
You know a lot of the New York kind of
Bachelor Nation people that we tend to see a lot of.
But what really caught my eye was that this article
also released their running times.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Does that for somebody who's contemplating being marathon runner? Does
that deter you a little bit, or I mean, what
I love to see here is clearly Zach is Uh
is a front runner in this Bachelor Nation group, which
I love that he is so passionate about running.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
And he's a front runner.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
It would make me a little bit nervous if I were,
you know, Tyler Cameron looking at the time.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
He got beat by Tasha by almost an hour. Yeah,
I mean Zach Clark beat him by over two hours.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Maybe he stopped to take photos or you know. You
know what's so funny, I actually saw a TikTok that
somebody was doing a caviar stop. You could take a
caviar bomb on the side of the marathon.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It just I mean, honestly, to not like go into
like potty jokes. This isn't a joke, but like that
sounds very dangerous, Like your body is already freaking out
on itself and you're taking like I saw Matt James
eating a piece of pizza and I'm thinking, I know myself,
Like you're not running ten more miles with a pizza

(04:48):
pizza in your gut, right that.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
That sounds like bomb dot com. Like you're definitely not
holding that down.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
There are some good I mean, so Zach Clark kind
of goal he posted of three hours and ten minutes.
He ran it in three hours and twenty seven minutes,
which is still so impressive. I think that's like averaging
just over seven minutes a mile for twenty six miles.
There's like I was texting with the guys that ran
at last night and I was just telling him, Hey,

(05:18):
congrats and you guys, what are you doing to celebrate?
Joey and Tanner did the they called the party run,
I think is what they texted me, Like they they
stayed in the group that did stop that would like
talk to fans keep going. Zach, I think was a
little more intentional in his efforts of running. He tried
not to stop. I did see a lot of videos

(05:40):
of Matt James stopping along the way. He posted a
lot of them himself. Yet he still ran in three
hours and thirty one minutes, which I'm not shocked. He's
an incredible runner. Yeah, you can just look at him
like you can run fast for a long time. To
close this up, congratulations to everybody. One thing that did
come out of the race was there was a sighting

(06:01):
of Kelsey Anderson, Serena Pitt and Caitlyn Bristow at the race,
two of which are confirmed to be married or dating
a runner. Caitlin Bristow is the one that's not confirmed
to be dating a runner. So maybe she is just
a big fan of watching marathons.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
That's what I think it is. Yeah, yeah, it's a
marathon fan.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
She just loves to see people run, and so she
went to New York City to witness one of her
favorite events every year, which is the New York City Marathon.
Because well, there's no way that she's dating anybody in
this group.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
No, I'm not going to see her, you know, lasen
up some sneakers for next year or anything.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
You don't think.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
I don't think. I actually don't think that would happened.
The winner of the New York City Marathon ran this thing,
and like he's he set the record at like two
hours and nineteen minutes, which means he averaged like a
five minute mile for twenty six miles. So outside of Bachelinnation,
I think we just need to like take a moment
of silence and say, well done. That's insane. I don't

(07:04):
get it. I don't think I could sprint a mile
as fast. As I could and make it to five
like I know I couldn't and go to get it
at five minutes. So to do that for twenty six
miles is absolutely ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Yeah, the running is not my forte. I don't know her.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
No, it's it's wild. But congrats all who did it
accomplished no matter what your time was, We're proud of
you here. Definitely it impressed with you here. Other headlines,
Bachelor Nations, Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs announced baby number two.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
This was a cute announcement. Did you happen to see
it on Halloween? Like their son and like mixing up
something spooky or something's brewing is what it said. And
also since then, Becca has posted a little baby bump
picture of herself. Really cute, really happy for them and
their family brewing.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
It's those are two people on big fans of and
it's been awesome to see their relationship not only just
blossom and continue to be awesome, but then also to
bring new life into this world. So congratulations to Thomas
and Becca. I haven't seen this until I read the

(08:27):
rundown of the headlines for this week, but a very
interesting story to kind of for all of us to
pay attention to, but also to support if you can.
Former bachelorette Michelle Young details health struggles. This comes kind
of following their honeymoon trip. There wasn't really pictures being

(08:47):
posted from their honeymoon, and Michelle explains why, and honestly,
it's heavy.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
It's heavy, and it's scary right when you kind of
get into this, so she said, and so many of
you have asked about honeymoon photos. Jack and I love
the time we got to spend in Venice and Positano.
And then she says, but sadly, we had to end
our trip seven days early because my health couldn't keep up.
She continues, for the last eight months to a year,

(09:15):
I've been battling with extreme fatigue, brain fog, panic attacks,
heart palpitations, hypoglycemia, and pots like symptoms. After a number
of tests came back normal, we thought it could be
stress or anxiety with the wedding, But she's basically found
out that she's been severely exposed to mold, which is

(09:40):
really scary because it's not something that you see in
the air, right, like this is something wrapped in walls
or insulation or something wherever they were. And that's what's
really scary about it.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
It's very scary, Heather. And this is you know, there's
some thing things out there that we just take too lightly.
Right now, lime disease being one of those. Right We've
talked about it here, people suffering from lime disease. It
is a just an incredibly difficult disease to deal with,

(10:15):
you know, mold exposure over metals exposure. Now, the good
part about the day and age we live in, there
are ways to help and kind of you know, cleanse
your body detox from some of these things. But mold
is very scary. It's something that everybody should take very seriously,
especially if you live by water. If you you know,

(10:37):
if you're in the mountains like me and Colorado where
it's super dry, not as much of an issue. There's
other issues. But if you're living by water and you're
feeling some of these symptoms, please go get checked out
and kind of note it to ask your doctor about
mold exposure. So we're again, let's go out. Let's support Michelle.

(10:58):
This is obviously goodness, Grace. I can't imagine going on
your honeymoon, getting married and then having to cut it
short due to this like that just feels defeating and
so let's rally behind her. So maybe they can go
on a second honeymoon, which will be just as sweet
and just as awesome, but she'll be feeling better during it.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
And the silver lining is that they did just recently
move to a new house, so fingers crossed, you know
that that also helps her situation and it looks like
in her detoxing process, she's also going to be you know,
gluten and dairy free for a while.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Joan Vasso's Susan Knowles, Kathy Swartz, and Nancy Holkauer reunite
for a Golden Bachelor girl's trip. This is very sweet
and let's just say, from the almost famous podcast these
for our friends like when you're around them, This isn't
for show. This isn't because they want to get their

(11:58):
names out there. They really enjoy their time together and
to be a fly on the wall, it would be
X rated and also absolutely ridiculous if somebody were to
watch that just as a TV show.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Can I say I felt a little bit of fomo
when I saw the social clips from this because I
have hung out with all these ladies and they are
a good time, you know, so I loved it. We
recently saw Ray Ashley had her girls reunion trip with
the guys for the girls from Chris Soul's season, and
now seeing like the Goldens doing it too, I'm like,
you're never too old for a girls trip, Like that's

(12:36):
what's so fun about this, And I love that they
were kind of sharing it with all of us too.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I mean, is there anything more sacred than like breaking
bread and spending time with somebody else In a world
where we're so disconnected, where we feel like our communities
have been shattered, where we don't know where to reach
out for community and friendship, these intentional gatherings are so good,
Like they're so good and they're fun to witness, and

(13:02):
I'm with you. There was a moment when I saw
on social media. I was upset. I was like, why
wasn't I invited? I should be there?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Do you do that with any of the guys from
your season when you were on or is that something
you've thought about? I know you do your golf trips
and stuff like that, which are obviously very fun, but
would you guys ever do like some kind of bonding
weekend like this?

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yeah? I mean one hundred percent. The golf trips are
similar because there are people from the Bachelor world that invited,
and I'm planning one right now where there's even more
Bachelor friends invited because I now know they play golf
because they've kind of reached out since they saw the
first one and they're like, why I wasn't I invited.
I was like, I didn't know you played.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
You know our season I think had friendships, but we
also had uh we weren't as close as others, And
so there's only a few people that I know personally
that I could invite to this that I know I
would enjoy being like that we were still friends. It
wouldn't be weird for me to be like, I haven't
talked to you an eight year, but please come on

(14:02):
this trip with me. So there are a few, but
I've I think there's some seasons that we look back
on in the Bachelor world where they're iconic because of
the depth of people. I would actually say that the
cast on my like my season of the Bachelor, has
that like kind of iconic, Like you could name ten
of them right now and they'd probably all tend to
get together I.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Very much could name ten of them right now from
your season.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Yeah, it's just like there's some that stand out and
there's others that don't. But this, you know, the Goldens
are awesome. Jess Edwards reveals when she'll be moving in
with Spencer Conley and where they'll be living. They met

(14:50):
on Paradise. We got to watch their love story blossom,
even though not too often because they were such a
solid couple that they're never shown, but being with them
at the reunion that we did at the Almost Famous podcast,
we could tell that there was something special there and
they'll be moving in together. Heather tell us the details.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
She just did a little post on Instagram and said
lots of questions about the move. We're looking at places
in Lower Greenville and M Street. My main want is
a very walkable area to lots of things because that's
something I love about where I live in San Diego.
And so she's talking about Texas. They are moving to Texas.

(15:32):
She also revealed that they won't be moving to a
new home until the new year. Spencer's current lease isn't
up until January, so we have some time, and I
will be getting a storage unit for a few weeks,
she shared, So you took the words right out.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Of my mouth.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I mean, we absolutely saw the love between them at
the reunion firsthand, and I think that they are one
of those Bachelor Nation couples that I think are seriously
going to go the distance.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
They're so cute.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, and it's fun to hear these updates for no
other reason other than we just know they're still doing
well and they're still together, you know, so when they're
planning this stuff, we know that there's a future in
front of us, and we never doubted it, just like
we really never doubted that Zach and Katie would still,
you know, be going strong. They're going strong. They're dishing

(16:20):
on kids. They're also talking about if Bachelor Nation will
be at their wedding celebration. Also, Heather to add in here,
I was just with the two of them. They are
just such a great couple to be around. I know
that they are building a home, so they're planning that
out because they've shown on Instagram that they're picking out
different furnishes, making it their own. Just a lot of

(16:44):
fun stuff happening in their relationship.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
Yeah, and not to be confusing at all to anybody.
Who might be listening being like, what are you talking
about wedding celebration? They're already married, so if you'll remember,
they had that really tiny, intimate wedding. But I was
actually kind of surprised to see that they are going
to be doing another wedding celebration with a bigger group
of people.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Are you like a two wedding kind of person? Do
you think just like call it an anniversary party, call
it a birthday party.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
I don't know, Like I thought that.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Was kind of interesting to have another wedding celebration, maybe
so far out.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
It seems to be a new trend because people get married,
you know, in Italy or someplace overseas, and they can't
invite too many people to it, or they know that
people couldn't afford and so they don't want to put
the pressure on them. This has become more and more popular.
I look at my wedding night as the best, most

(17:43):
fun night of my life. But it was a big party.
We did it in Nashville. I think I would have
a hard time. The only thing I would have in
like like personally for me and this would be I
would have a hard time getting as excited a year
later than I was that night, because an anniversary for

(18:04):
us since then has been very quiet and calm and reflective.
It's not that like blowout party bash, but I'm sure
they can get up for it. So it's just different
strokes for different folks. I also just don't see Zach
being the type of guy that wants more than one party.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
I think life gets in the way.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
I think these are well intended thoughts of like, yeah,
we'll do the small thing and then we'll do the
big thing. But it's like then, it's like you said,
building a house, starting a family, you know, something, a
work opportunity comes up, and that wedding keeps getting you know,
pushed to the background. So I wish them well if
they want to have that second celebration, I think that's great.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
I love a good wedding. And says that.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
They're going to be having bachelor alum from six different
seasons coming to this, which is very fun to see.
But you know, if they end up pushing it off
and life gets in the way, that's okay too.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yes, that is okay. I remember, like Kenny and Mari,
he did like three or four celebrations for their wedding,
which was wild. I remember they came on and talked
about it. I have to go back and listen to
get the details, but yeah, they did a bunch interesting
headline this week. I saw this one pop up and
I thought it was another one of those AI like

(19:20):
stupid things, and it kind of was. It ended up
being that, but it was also just a ridiculous headline.
Charity loss in response to pregnancy rumors and claps back
at body shamers. First off, absolutely crazy that Charity Losson
has body shamers. That's just right there. We should note
this is a fake article. But also this is kind

(19:44):
of falling a little bit, falling into that trap that
we've been talking about of these fake headlines coming.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Out literally fake news, I feel every single week. So
Charity shared a fake article on her Instagram story about
her and Dowton expecting their first child. She wrote, as
we know, nothing on Facebook is real. She followed up
with comments on one of her recent posts that said,
when did Charity have her baby?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
No mention of it?

Speaker 4 (20:11):
And I read you were pregnant and you were photographed
looking like you were. Charity responded saying, I am not
pregnant and do not have a child. News to me, truly,
I am curious what photo. It's probably Ai And then
she later found out it was a photo of her
in Dotton that she had posted, writing this is the photo,

(20:33):
and she clapped back and said, I am now on
my way to eat my body weight in k pot.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
So I love that.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
What is k pot? By the way?

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Is it the one where you drop it in the
pot and you cook it like you are given like
raw me the veggies and that, and I think that's
what that is. Yeah, But I love that she ended
it with a sense of humor. But I think going
back to what we've said or you've said week after week,
it's like, don't draw the attack to these articles because
that's what makes more of them pop up, right, And

(21:04):
it just feels like every single week we're responding to
some sort of fake headline that people are feeling they
have to address, which is just awful.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
And it's dangerous long term. Yes, for so many it's
like the Boy who Cried Wolf. When are we going
to ever actually know if something's true or not.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
When we see it not on Facebook? That's the first two.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
That's a good point. Final headline of today is one
that hits so many of our hearts. Some of us
can relate to this, some of us can just feel
for the people involved. And I think it's only fitting
here at the Almost Famous podcast to say that we're

(21:48):
deeply thinking about Noah and Aaron erb they shared an
emotional tribute after losing their mom. This was hard. I
watched and looked at everything they shared. It was such
a beautiful testament to who she was, and it came
from a place of love. But it's also heavy, heavy

(22:10):
to see, and we feel for both of them.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Yeah, I mean, this is the kind of stuff that
you don't want to read in headlines at all for anybody.
Noah wrote in his post, I think some people are
created so beautifully inside and out that God gets a
little jealous and takes them back prematurely.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Mom.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
I've interacted with more people than I know how to count,
and I can say I've never met someone quite like you.
He goes on and leaves a really beautiful sentiment, and
then Aaron also posted online and said Heaven gained the
most beautiful Mama Sea. I'll never fully comprehend the amount

(22:53):
of sacrifice and love it took to raise all twelve
of us. You were a friend to everyone you met
and went out of your way to make people feel seen.
Absolutely beautiful tributes. My heart goes out to them. As
somebody who lost their mom around the same age that
these guys are, it's really really a difficult thing to process.

(23:18):
And all I can say is that your life is
different after you lose somebody that significant. You just it's
never the same, It's just different. And so we're wishing
them all the best in their grieving process and for
their family. Because she sounds like she was an incredible woman.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
It definitely does. So we are thinking about you here
at the show. And that's been the headlines for this
week again, as every week, it's a roller coaster ride
of headlines from new life to life passing on to
New York City marathoners completing something that they will talk
about for the rest of their life. I think that's

(24:00):
the cool thing about something like that is you will
tell your grandkids I ran the New York City Marathon
at one point, and so congratulations to all of you
who did that. We'll be back next week and this
week we have more content coming your way, some really
great interviews, some breakdowns of the Golden Bachelor, along with

(24:21):
some other shows that are out there, like Famously Available.
Make sure you tune into that to get up to
speed on some of your favorite Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants
who are out there dating for some the first time
in a long time. But until next time, I've been been,
and I've been Heather, We'll talk to you seen everybody.
