Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome back to the Almost Sayings podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Today it is me and Leanne May from the Secret
Lives of Mormon Wives. She is Taylor Frankie Paul, our
new bachelorette's mom. So we're going to get all the
insight as to what we can expect from our new
lead from her.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
We're so excited. Thank you. Welcome Leanne May to the podcast.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Hi, thank you for having me.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Thank you so much for being here.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
So I heard that you guys used to watch Bachelor,
but it's been a while. Did was this something that
you guys did as a mother daughter thing?

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Actually no, I don't think we ever watched it together,
but we didn't discuss it like a few times. But yeah, no,
we never watched it together.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
When was the last time you watched regularly?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Probby the Colton season? What season was that?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Like, Oh, I don't know what that was, but that
was towards you know, that was a great era and
you know, like that's kind of when a lot of
people started falling off after say, Hannah Brown season. Huh,
Hannah season was so great, but then like the COVID
hit and then Matt James nobody knew who he was.
He was fresh, you know, a fresh pick. I just

(01:19):
feel like that's when it started to sure turn a
little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Yeah, now we we. I watched it your season. I
watched it like, uh ben Nick, you know, so those
are like the seasons I used to watch. So I'm
excited to watch it again, and obviously with my daughter
being on it, I'm excited to watch her.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Like, is this the most wild thing in the entire world?
Your daughter is the bachelorette?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I know, yes, I'm so excited for her. She actually
gets to go date, which is going to be so
nice for her, just because she really hasn't dated, you know,
like multiple people at multiple times.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, how do you think she is going to deal
with dating, say, thirty men at once.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
I don't know, but I would love it, so I
would hope that she would. I got married really young, too,
so I'm excited for her. So I'm just like, she
kind of got married like younger for like I guess
in our world it's she was like an average age.
But so in the Mormon religion, people get married like

(02:27):
right out of high school. Yeah, right out of college.
You know or during college.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
You guys, you know I will be fully transparent. I've
only seen two episodes of Secret Lives I am. I'm
going to complete though the entire now it'll be soon
three seasons before Taylor's reign as Bachelorette, and I am
enjoying it.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I just started like two days ago.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
This is like my my bachelor slash like pop culture homework.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Now.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
The thing is from what I've seen and what I've
heard from future episodes that I haven't seen yet, is
that you guys have you have a very close relationship,
but like you have your ups and downs and you're
definitely not sure about like her man Picker.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Oh, she's not a good man. Picker isn't.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
So what kind of guys do you hope that ABC
has cast for her?

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Well? I have talked to the casting director oh all
the time. I mean we're on the phone all the time.
She's probably thinks I'm crazy, but and I might be
a little bit every now and then, But I just
want somebody who's like that believes in God kind of
you know, like believes in God or has some kind

(03:44):
of like belief other than you know, something like higher power.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Okay, So it does not need to be more.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
It doesn't have to be Mormon. No, I mean, obviously
I would like that, but it's not. That's not something
I guess. There's so many great people that aren't Mormon.
Like my father wasn't an LDS guy, and he couldver
like years later, but he was a great guy and
so and probably one of the best people. You know.
So a lot of the people that I meet are

(04:12):
outside the religion. So she's like, I'm down to go,
you know, go to some other religion or whatever, or
just just a good guy. Just somebody who's like, obviously
you still want him to be like decent looking, you know,
because you want that as a feel and I'm sure
she does too, but just somebody who's like really humble
and caring and puts her like in front of them.

(04:37):
And her husband was her first husband was like that,
So I guess she did pick someone, you know, good,
But yes, I think she gets she gets bored, so
that's the thing. It's just like, and then she meets Dakota,
who's just this crazy they're just chaotic, just toxic relationship.

(04:57):
So but those are the kind of guys she like,
really like, so I don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
We need somebody who's going to keep her attention for
a long time. I have to ask, because just watching
the first two episodes.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, why.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Do I feel like she just like had no care
in getting pregnant? Like it was like did she Yes?
It was like she was just like, oh, yeah, if
it happens, it happens, and she just it was almost
like she secretly kind of wanted to get pregnant out
of Woodlock.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Oh absolutely, like yes. I mean I got so much
crap for like just saying that that was stupid, you
know that word like calling, but I got so much
hate from it. But it was like they don't know
the history, they don't know what's going on, and so
when I said that, it's just like you barely know

(05:48):
this guy and you want to get pregnant. And now
she was pregnant.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
But that's all was so weird about it, is.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
That like she definitely didn't feel secure in that relationship.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
She did.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I didn't even think it was I don't think she
thought it was going to be long term. But she
was just like, yeah, if I get pregnant, I get pregnant. Yeah,
so I guess like she just loves having children. Yeah, oh,
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
She's a great mom, that's for sure. And she doesn't
mind having obviously kids because she still wants more kids.
And I'm just like, you want another you know, another
baby daddy, But she's she does.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
All right, so another baby daddy? Are we thinking?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Like, if you between you and the casting director, do
you want him, her possible fiance after all this, to
have kids or not have kids?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
You know, it really doesn't matter. I think that he
can relate more if he does have kids, just you know,
you know, if he has kids, he already knows how
it works and what the plan is, and maybe possibly
he would want another kid, you know. But I really
want her to be like very sick here and know
what she really wants this time. I just hope she

(06:57):
doesn't keep repeating that's toxic. I don't know, mess of
her life.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
We all hope.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
So we also, I feel like she's grown a lot
since the first season of Secret Lives as well.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
She has, Yes, she is getting better. She's had a
lot of therapy. She's just gone through so much. Her
life has just been such a mess for the last
few years, and so now I think that's probably why
she got pregnant. She's like, well, what's one more kid?
What's the big deal? You know, Like, but then she
doesn't think about it long term, and so I'm hoping

(07:33):
she goes in and really like find somebody that's great.
But then you don't have that much time, right Ashley,
because you're just in there for so many weeks, and
it's like, is that really possible?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I always think that the main show is harder to
find somebody than Paradise because it's just eight weeks and
you have such little quality time with these people, whereas
like in Paradise it is a shorter amount of time,
it's like three weeks, wow, but you're spending day after
day with the person that you're dating, like twenty four

(08:07):
to seven, So it is different. But we are wishing
her luck and I'm so curious, how are they going
to film this season? Because the only other single mom
Bachelorette that we've had, Emily Maynard, they actually worked with
her and filmed in her hometown in North Carolina. They
never filmed in California. What is the plan with Taylor?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
She'll be in California, so that will film a couple
weeks there. I think they'll be some I'm thinking a
couple weeks here is the plan, but I don't know.
And then I don't know where the others.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Okay sitting, So a little bit of both.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Yes, uh huh. And so her son will be with
her majority of.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Time, the oldest one or the youngest one the baby.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Yeah, so the other kids are in school, so that's
just not going to be realistic. And so, but yeah,
they are going to allow her to see her kids.
That was a stipulation for her to go on. And
then the baby will be with her some of them,
like some of the time.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Will there be a nanny with her or will you
be with her?

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah, so a nanny and myself will be like traveling
back and forth. But we're kind of just trying to
see how it's gonna all work out. And so at
least the baby can see her every now and then
at least, you know, so that's the plan.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Will the baby's fathered Dakota be around.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I'm hoping not. I said that he will mess the
whole thing up for her, like he will sabotage her
whole experience, and so I'm just like, if you can
just keep him away for at least those weeks, there
might be some like hope of her like focusing in
on this, this whole process of dans.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
How do you think he would sabotage?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
I don't know. I just think, well, I guess if
she can't have contact with him, he might not be
able to. But if he was to, he wanted to.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Be there, he wanted to be there with the baby.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Yes, And so I'm just like, no, like that will
not be good just because she will not be able
to enjoy her time there, and it just wouldn't be good.
I think that never be a disadvantage if she was
to do.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
That, perhaps like a distraction for her.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Oh, very distracting, yes.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Because is there still like I know that they I
know that they have had a relationship in which, like
they're still obviously seeing each other a lot because of
the baby.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
But isn't there a lot of love still there?

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
She she so loves him and I believe that he
truly loves her. And you'll actually I can't talk about it,
but in the season three you'll you'll see a lot
that went on with him that came out and just
it was not good. And so it made all of
us just, oh my god. I don't know, it's just shocking.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
But yes, well, now that's an ABC Hulu relationship here.
Obviously that's one of the reasons that they cast her.
It makes a lot of sense business wise. It also

(11:20):
from a producer's perspective, makes a lot of sense for
Dakota to pop in a bit because it's gonna make
things sloppy.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Do you think that they're gonna involve in the storyline.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
No, if so, they haven't told me about it, and
they probably won't because they know.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Like probably not.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
They know how I feel, you know, about that whole relationship,
and so they probably are not gonna tell me. So
if so, I will be shocked to what I see it.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Oh, you're gonna be like no, no, no, You'll be
there and you'll be like pushing it away.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yes. Yes.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
What was his initial reaction when he found out she
was a bachelorette.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
I guess he was pretty shocked. And I think he's
and like, don't I think he doesn't want her to
go on it. I know he's done videos saying that,
you know, let's like otherwise, But I think that he
doesn't want her to go on it. Obviously he still
loves her. I just don't feel like he loved her
enough or at least I mean, he wouldn't have done

(12:18):
the things that he did, so I don't know, but yeah,
I really I was rooting for him actually, you.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Know, yeah, yeah you would.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
I didn't like him at first, and then I grew
to like him because he's one of those guys that
you just like. He has that charisma, he's a good
looking guy. He's just he's kind of manly, you know,
he came from a farm. He's just like I don't know.
I didn't like him at first, and then I grew
to I just gave him a chance, and then he
just proved me right. So I'm just like, oh, man,

(12:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I get it. I totally get it. I have my
sister's boyfriends.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
There's been people that I definitely didn't like and then
I evolved to love them over time. And it's like
crazy where you look back and you're just like, wow,
I can't believe I used to think of you like.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
This, and now I think of you like that.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Anyway, So I just need to talk a little bit
more about what you're talking about. With casting director conversations
like this is so interesting to me that you've even
had a hand in this.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Have they showed you pictures?

Speaker 4 (13:19):
No, they haven't. They haven't showed me anything. But I
send them guys that I would like her to be
said up.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
For through what, like guys that you find on Instagram.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
No, one's like yeah, Instagram TikTok, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I wonder if they will like take your advice and
find these guys, Like are you searching for them or
are they coming into your dms and saying like I
would love to date Taylor.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
No, they haven't come into my dms at all, but
I have just I just know her type. But I'm
trying to like weed amount to like they look somewhat decent,
you know. Obviously some of them that have I just
know those guys that are just like good looking in
their body and they're always showing it. I'm just like you, No,
you're not, you know kind of guy. But yes, I

(14:03):
send him to one of the casting directors. I mean,
they have like a couple of them because the show
is like, yeah, I think it's going to be so good.
I think their ratings are going to be so high.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Seriously.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
I'm hoping they're the highest, of course, because I'm the.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Mom, right, so the high isn't quite some time.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Yeah, yes, and so I'm excited for it. So I
don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
So, speaking of that, what's the reaction been. We know
that it's been mixed. There's a lot of old school
Bachelor fans that have been like, oh, we want people
to be picked from the franchise. Then there's some people
who don't love the fact that there's like sort of
a double standard, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
We her the assault, yes, was all over the show yea.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
And a lot of people say that if it were
a guy with that past, he would never have been cast.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
What what have you and Taylor dealt with over the
past month or so? Emotionally?

Speaker 4 (15:02):
It hasn't been that I guess that bad for like
when all of that happened to was it over two
years ago? Yeah, it was really really messy, and I
had so many people come into my dms and just
so much stuff happened. I haven't felt like the hate.

(15:22):
I've seen it online like when I'm wreaking comments, but
they haven't come to me directly this time. Obviously, nobody
was there at that time, they don't know like the
true story. Like I used to even believe like everything
the news had, and you know, there's just so much
that's so not like a lot of lies, like with

(15:43):
even police and with the news, they don't portray everything
that's correct and so and then they make it out
to be like way worse than it really is. Like
she didn't ever like her, her kids were never like
her or anything like that. How like them said just
just like certain things like you know we I mean,
people don't know like yeah, they're like half of the

(16:06):
stuff that really happened. They don't ever go and like
retrack you know, journalism, I guess, and it's just it's
not as real as people think that it is. And
so I kind of like learned a lot throughout that
process with like the whole criminal because I never have
experienced anybody ever going to jail, and my own daughter,
like going to jail was like huge for me, so

(16:29):
and just it was emotional and we just yeah, we
got through it, and I'm just glad that, uh, that
they're giving her that chance, because I do think that people,
great people make mistakes and obviously you know she I mean,
if there wasn't a gun or like weapon or stuff involved. Like,

(16:49):
I think they just took it overboard just because of
she already had millions of followers before you know, all
this happened when she got arrested, And I think that's
why they, like, you know, she was an influencer here
in Utah and they just took it to the extreme.
I mean, I've talked to plenty of people and even
some judges that have said, like, most people don't get that,

(17:14):
like they usually get like a slap on the wrist,
but since she was an influencer, like, they took it
to I guess like the worst that anybody can possibly get.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Interesting.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Oh yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
So would you say the reaction when you guys did
announce that she was going to be a bachelorette?

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Was it positive? Was it mostly positive?

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Did she have a good day that day or was
she overwhelmed by critics?

Speaker 4 (17:38):
You know what she was? It was very like sad
because that morning we were so excited, you know, when
the announcement came out, and then the whole thing like
with Charlie Kirk came.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Out that happened the same day, didn't it.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Yes, it happened the same day, so we were like
so excited in the morning and then after like twelve
o'clock when we heard everything and this is in Utah too,
so yeah, it was even more. It was she turned off,
like she turned off her phone and she was she
couldn't be excited about it, just because like, how could
you be excited about anybody, regardless of what side you're
on that this happened. And his little kids were, you

(18:12):
know there, and that was just devastating for anybody to
go through. And so our whole family was just like,
oh it was It was just sad, so one emotion
to another. So yeah, it just yeah, she couldn't be
She didn't want to post. She was just like, this
is this is not the time I wouldn't you know,
so and she like honored him, you know, and so yeah,

(18:40):
but that was kind of Yeah, we were super excited
until that, and it was actually a heavy week I
think for the that whole time. Yeah, now it's getting
to be more real. I'm actually meeting with the producers
today and so like I'm excited to like, uh talk
to them. Yeah, so they they flew in for the

(19:01):
day and I get to hang out with them.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Oh, are we preparing for packages, like for inter packages
and like getting some like lifestyle like family life footage
before going into the shoots. Yeah, yes, yes, Okay, So
you said that you're gonna be shooting in California and
then Utah, is she gonna be starting at the mansion
and then taking the guys that she actually is serious

(19:27):
about home?

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Yeah? I think so. Yeah, I think that. I think
that's the plan. I don't even know if I haven't
signed anything, but I don't think.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
If you haven't signed anything, we're good.

Speaker 3 (19:47):

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Visit Hotel Portafino dot com to book, or call eight
zero zero four six eight forty two ninety two. A
lot of single parents on the Bachelor franchise have had,
you know, storylines over whether or not they're going to
have the lead meet the kids. What is Taylor's plan

(20:38):
for having the suitors meet her kids?

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Does she have one?

Speaker 4 (20:42):
I think she does. I think she's going to obviously, Yeah,
the guys that she really likes or thinks that she
might have a relationship, she will have them meet them.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yes. Is it like going to be a top four thing,
like a hometown situation or you think that she had
introduced more than four guys?

Speaker 4 (21:00):
No, I think probably the the the last few for sure. Okay, yeah,
I haven't really talked to her about it, but yes,
I would. I know that she wants to introduce them. Yes.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Do you see her being engaged at the end of this.
Do you think that's going to be a natural thing
for her to be able to.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Do with her?

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Probably with me there was a whole different story, Like No,
I would think that.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
No.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Like but her, she she likes them fast, and so
it's just like I'm like, please take your time, you
know with these guys. I don't know, We'll see. It's
just she jumps into everything so quickly. I just I
don't know I would think that by her age, because
she's thirty one. You know, she would take her time

(21:45):
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
But I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
She doesn't listen to me. I think I should start
talking saying the opposite, and maybe she will. I'll be like, yes,
let's get married, Yes let's have some kids, and then
she might not do it.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
That's what I need to start doing psychology.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
We definitely hope to see you a lot on the
show because you have such a funny way of talking
with her. It's so honest and unfiltered, and the fact
that she's so spontaneous is gonna make for a great season.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
She's I think she's gonna be.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
All over the place mentally, which is gonna be really
difficult for her and you as her mom, but also
really entertaining for us as viewers.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Yes, I'm just like, oh man, they might not let
me because she might be too messy, and I'll be like,
I will want to come through the screen. So yeah,
they probably. I don't know. Who knows.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Oh so funny.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Have any past bachelorettes reached out to her to give advice?

Speaker 4 (22:44):
I think so I think I know she's talked to
like Hannah Brown. I think she's talked to a couple,
but I don't know, like all of you know, she
she has so many she gets so many dms anyway,
like and I'm sure it's like intensified like so much
just since you know that they she's come out and
said that. But yeah, I know, like she's taught. I

(23:07):
think she's talked to Nick.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Okay, yeah, she and Nick are friends. He will need
great help. I know.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
I love I love Nick, so I've met him too,
and I love him and his wife. I'm just like
it's I don't know. I wish he was the host,
to be honest, or Chris. I wish Chris nothing against Jesse.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
I just don't we all we all, so many of
us wish Chris were the post that would be great.
And Nick is just absolutely killing it with what he does.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
So I love Chris. I wish they could have brought
him back, But you know, obviously I don't know, and
I don't I have nothing against the new guy. I
just don't know.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
He's great because he's great, But like obviously there is
so much heart and soul that we're missing after Chris,
and I think that you speak for a lot of
people there. Yeah, all right, Well, I also think that
you'll probably be at Dancing with the Stars a lot
after this, because I think that having Taylor probably on

(24:03):
that show is.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Probably gonna happen after.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
This, and then of course whoever she ends up with
is gonna end up on Secret Lives.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
I love that element to this whole thing because I
think a lot of people are so interested, interested to
see what happens with the relationships once they get off
the show. And it's so great that in your case,
we're gonna see their relationship, them moving in together, planning
a wedding, navigating all of life off the show on

(24:35):
Secret Lives.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
It's so perfect. I love this.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Oh that's awesome. Do you have any advice that you
I can give her? Because I'm like, you were like
you're like I would have loved like you're you went
in you know when I watch you because you're a virgin,
right yeah, yeah, all of that. Like I'm just like,
to me, you are like valued yourself.

Speaker 6 (24:56):
You know.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Thanks, And I just I love that because I I
think that you're a great example to so many people
and so thank you like, you know, like I think
with not your generation, but just like the younger generation
is like hookup culture. Yeah, and I just like feel like, gosh,
you just like give so much of yourself, you know,

(25:16):
to these guys or vice versa. Like the men too,
and it's just like, I don't know, I just wish
more women, especially women though, like value their theirselves more
and just like didn't give it up that quick, you know,
Like I don't know, just stuff like that. It's just
there's so much more, Like sex is like so much,

(25:38):
I don't know, there's just so many like it's a
connection that you give to somebody else, and I just
like somebody you just don't know or that great or
I don't know me.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
That's all my feelings back in my twenties was just like, yes,
I hated cook up culture.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
I couldn't understand why I was living in the.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
Midst of it. I was like, I do not belong
in this decade. I'm like, can we go back in
time and I can date then? Because I was very uncomfortable.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Yeah, but I love that about you. I mean that's
I'm like, you're beautiful and you're just like held yourself
and that's commendable.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Thank you. Actually that brings me to another question. Fantasy suites.
That's why I can really get messy, you know, because
like I think that the best situation is that you
know who you're gonna pick going into fantasy suites, right,
because then those leads usually end up just sleeping with
the one person that they know they're gonna pick.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Because when you go into it and you and.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
You sleep with everyone, uh huh, it can get really messy.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Oh I bet yes, I will be so pissed if
she goes in and does that. I will you, I
will be so mad. And I know, I mean she
doesn't care, like really what I think, but she does,
but she doesn't. It's just weird.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
That's why your relationship is so funny, like because you
guys are very close, but you are, like I don't
get you.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yes, yes, I'm just she says that she's she She
always says how you wouldn't buy a car. I hate that, saying,
like you unless you test drive. And it's like I
didn't have sex in with my husband until I got
married and I already had her right, so like I
tried it that way first, and then obviously I marry.

(27:27):
I've been married twenty nine years, so that is so
not true. Like our relationship is like a great relationship
and we I don't know. I just think that that's
not true about it.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
And you know what in Bachelor World, because it is
very weird, it's so much different than regular world.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Yes, utilize the thing. In my opinion, if you.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Have to test drive a car, right, make it be
the person you're gonna pick, and you know what, you
can go it through it and you can sleep with
no one in the fantasy suite, which is probably the
best idea. And your test drive is after the show. Okay,
you're not getting married in the last episode.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Yes, I agree, you're still engaged.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
And to be honest, even if you're engaged, a lot
of those people who leave the show engaged think like, Okay,
now we're starting to really date.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
Yes, yes, because too like right, it's not it's not
reality like going on these exotic dates. You know, that's
not always what happens to all these people who date now,
So it's yeah. And I think that this season with
Taylor is going to be a little different because she's
like not your high maintenance kind of girl who has

(28:38):
to go on these like crazy adventures to like, I
don't know, to impress her. I guess like she's like
that type that's like, let's just go for a hike.
You know. Yeah. I'm like, she's like the ring doesn't
like is not anything? You know me, I'm like opposite.
I'm like, no, you choose the best ring. I don't know.
We're so obvious. It's so funny.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
That's one of my favorite things so far about watching
Secret Lives though, is that the girls are wearing like
sweatpants around and talking on couches like that.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Is more realistic than a lot of other reality show.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yes, I know it is. They're they're they're so funny,
those girls. Yeah, it's it's fun to see and it's well,
you've been on reality shows and and uh yeah, it's
it's not like so many people think it's fake and
her life is so real on this show. It's it's real.
It's unscripted. It's real. Like I say what I want. Yeah,

(29:33):
people ask me, do you do they tell you what
to say?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I'm like no, really, Okay.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
That's good to know because I was wondering how her
transition from Secret Lives would go over into Bachelor, Like,
is she going to be very aware of production? You think, like,
is she gonna be like, oh, they're making me do
this or they're making me do that?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Like is she going to have she's gonna have to say?

Speaker 4 (29:56):
Is what I is?

Speaker 3 (29:57):
What I think you think that she's going to be
like more in a direct in our director position because
of her experience.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
I do, yes, So I think I don't know, we'll
we'll see. Obviously they can say something and then when
you're you know, you're signed up, then change it, you know.
But she's so good at capturing like an audience and
so too it's like they might just let her just
be who she is. Who knows. All I know is
like I hope she doesn't like show up in crocs

(30:26):
with a dress or something like I just am like, please, Taylor,
Like some of the shoes that she wears, I'm like,
that does not go Like she just doesn't care and
it's just funny. She'd rather be comfortable. And it's just
like I'm glad she has like a stylist who's like gonna,
you know, do her whole wardrobe. I'm just like, at

(30:46):
least for that part, you know.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
I hope that they recreate a lot of home dates though,
like what it would actually be like for her to
be at home with the kids, having her new fiance,
just like, yes, making dinner and in the midst of
all the chaos.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
That is right, it is chaos too, chaos.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
How old are they all?

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Indy just turned eight, and then Ocean's five, and then
the baby ever, he's eighteen months. Okay, so it is.
It's crazy. It's a crazy house. Yeah, but she thrives
in chaos, and so I don't know.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Good, that's great. She's going to need to continue to
thrive in chaos throughout all this. Yeah, all right, Well,
we are so excited for her. I really do think
this is a great network decision. There's going to be
a lot of people interested in the crossover is going
to be amazing, and we're just hoping for the best
for you guys.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
Yeah, well I we are too. I'm hoping the best
for her and whoever she married or not Marus but
find hopefully she does find someone. I'm rooting for them,
so definitely.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
And before I let you go, what was the reaction
of the mom Talk group when she got this role?

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Was you think there's some secret jealousy.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Oh absolutely, yes.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Who's the most jealous?

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Oh, to me?

Speaker 4 (32:06):
For sure? To me, I think mostly like Jesse and
Macy and Mikayla. Those three are probably like and jan
like you. They were so excited for her, and I
think the other girls were excited too. I just think,
you know, like, why didn't they pick me kind of thing?
Because they're single, you know too, so they could have

(32:29):
picked some of the other girls that are not married.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
So she's been the star from the beginning. She's always
been the center of Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
She's definitely the star of the show for sure.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
And it all started because of her release of the
Yeah tea.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Oh yes, yes, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Okay, Well, if you guys need any advice from somebody
who was not the lead, tell her to DM me
or I'll give you my number or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
It's just I obviously have.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
Never been the puzet. Okay, she would love to d
I mean, she would love to call you probably.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Thank you. That's so sweet. That's really cool to hear. Yeah,
all right, well, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
I'm sure we will have you on after you guys
are done filming.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
Yeah, yes, I'm excited, but thank you. I feel honored
that you asked me and tell Ben hi to I will.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
He would love to have been here for this and
he is the master of all lead advice, so please
please chat with him too. All right, Well, until next time,
I've been Ashley and that has been lean May Bye.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
