Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hello everyone, welcome back to the Almost as podcast. It
is Ashley holding it down today. So we got Heather producer.
Heather being my little sidekick. I always have fun with her.
So last week ABC gave fans a glimpse, a glimpse.
They're not necessarily confirmed suitors for Taylor Franky Paul, but

(00:28):
they might be in the cast, probably gonna be in
the cast. So we wanted to, you know, do a
little judgment, go through this list of guys, not like
we normally do where we're like, this is age hometown
bio judgment. No, we'll wait for the official cast list
for this. I wanted to go through a couple of

(00:49):
these guys because because I mean, let's see who we
think is Taylor's type, you know, like, are these guys
worthy of well?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
How worthy?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
You know, we don't know them, so we can't call
them worthy, thanks, know what I mean, Let's just judge
a little bit, a little lighthearted judgment in this episode.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
It'll be fun. Don't take anything too close to heart.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
We're literally judging a book by its cover on this.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
One, exactly exactly, and the cover.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
We have basically other covers, like we have chapter one
for Taylor, which is her her ex husband Tate Paul,
and then we have chapter two for her and that
is her ex boyfriend Dakota. We're going off of those
books and judging this new book the cover.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I'm trying to make an analogy here.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I don't know if it's working, but we're basically saying
who's on the cover of Taylor's third book based on
these pictures. I will say the age range is really great.
It's refreshing. There's a lot of mid thirties. Obviously Taylor
was probably like, listen, I am not dating any one

(02:00):
below twenty seven. I want to say the youngest guy
on this list is about twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Majority are in their thirties.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Love that for her, But we're gonna go through and
see if my picks.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Are of age.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
So the Bachelorette, the official ABC Facebook, put out some
of these pictures and they wanted to get some reaction
from the fans. And here's my reaction, here's Heather's reaction.
And Heather has some good little tidbits that I can't
wait for her to get at because she is a

(02:35):
she used to be in casting.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Are you still in casting?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Yeah, I'm still in casting.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
So she still does casting for reality TV. So some
of these guys actually have familiar faces for her. All right,
So if I'm going just based on what Taylor's exes
look like, Dakota and Tates, I have picked five guys

(02:59):
in this list or her, Doug, kat Casey, Brandon, Lou
and Michael.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
And now I will go through those guys.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Did you have any other people that you thought that
perhaps should she be into.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
There's one that I'm rooting for, Richard. Richard from Charleston,
South Carolina. I think that that guy is super foxy
and is giving dad energy.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
He's thirty five.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Okay, I was going to put him on my list,
but then I was like, uh.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
He may not be like hot enough, so let.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Met like the hottest in the bunch.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Wait, okay, hold on, maybe I just went by him.
Let me go to Doug first. So wait, no minute,
let me go to Brandon first. His alphabetical order.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Guys, they put him in alphabetical order so you can
be checking it out on US Weekly or on the
Bachelor at Facebook.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
So Brandon is twenty eight, He's from Milwaukee. Wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I again just kind of picked him because he looks
like her type. And then Casey is cute, he's got
a good smile, he's thirty, he's from Nashville, Tennessee.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Casey is the one that fans in uh.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
When the day this was announced, fans were like, oh,
Casey is a dead ringer for Dakota.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Okay, both these guys, both her exes, have light eyes.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
The fact that like Tate and Dakota both look so
freaking similar in the pictures that like we have in
front of us, it's nuts. And yes, this guy he
has a Dakota look. I think this guy's cute him Dakota.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Really, I think he's got the muscles are off display.
So my guess is probably personal trainer or something in
the fitsiness industry, because those guns.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Are, yeah, they are huge guns to be just to
like go to the gym like a couple times a week.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
That's not that's not the muscles you.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yet, alrighty, So then I was thinking Doug, Yeah, Doug, Doug.
He's twenty eight from San Diego. He's cute and again
has that look. You can definitely tell who they cast
for Taylor because like, these guys have a look. They

(05:19):
have get a little bit of a couple day. They
have a beard but very tamed. They have lighter eyes,
good smile, good hair.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Very nice smiles, very nice smiles.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
For sure.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Doug's got a nice uh, Doug's got a nice neck.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
It's got like you know what, You're not wrong?

Speaker 4 (05:41):
You know, I will say, so I have the tidbit
about Doug.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Oh you do?

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, I do?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Dog is the one you have the tidbit on?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Yeah, So, like I.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Was saying, I have been a reality TV casting director
for many years. Full disclosure, I've never worked on The Bachelor,
the Bachelorette, but lots and lots of dating shows and
I actually have dms going back to twenty twenty three
with Doug trying to get him on TV.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
You wanted to get him on TV or he wanted
to be on TV.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
I wanted to get him on TV.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yes, because you could tell he looks like he should
be exactly.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
He's very attractive and for anybody wanting his Instagram handle,
it is underscore toned bone.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
But that's judgy, like what toned bone? What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Owned bone? I have no idea Doug Mason. Why that
is your Instagram handle?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
But it is?

Speaker 5 (06:43):
And so I won't say what shows I hit him
up for, but they were all dating shows, and he
responded to me every time that he was single, so
I know he was single going back to twenty twenty three,
but I will say that he turned me down multiple
times because because he was focusing on his acting and

(07:09):
his modeling career.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
So he just wants to be I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
What had changed from twenty twenty three to now that
that is no longer.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Oh there's two things, f boy.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Or his career is not going well enough now and
now he needs a boost, okay. Or he loves the
fact that Freaky Taylor Taylor Frankie Paul is famous.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
And he will immediately be dating a famous.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Girl who will have a continuing reality show after this.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
Or maybe he saw the light and realized that going
on a dating show does not kill.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Either of these other versions of your career, Doug.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Maybe somebody finally showed him the light that I could
not over messaging. But yeah, I'm definitely very excited to
see him on this journey because as soon as I
saw this list, I went I know that guy, I
have seen that guy multiple times in my DMS, and

(08:16):
so that's the way it goes sometimes with shows.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
And yeah, I'm excited to see Doug on the show.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
All right, so am I? I think he might be
my front runner right now. I think Doug and Brandon
probably Right now, I'm going to continue down our list.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
We have Lou Lou w e w. Oh wow, I'm
just like sick.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
We have a Lou l e W Lou. He's thirty two,
and I was initially like, I don't know. He's a
nice looking, handsome man, like there's no doubt that this
is a good face. He needs to grow his hair out.
He has hair, but it's like sut and not a

(08:57):
good look. This guy could be really cute, actually if
he had a few inches on top. So I was like, eh, Lou, okay,
I could see that being her type. So I was like,
you know, he's kind of borderline. But then I saw
Salt Lake City, Utah, and then he got on my list.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
He's a hometown guy.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I think that makes it for an easier process, so
he's going further than I would think. What do you
think about Lou w l e W.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
So, first of all, Lou Yes, handsome guy when it
comes to his facial hair.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Not really something I like in the sense personally of
when it's like scruffy on the neck because it's hard
to tell, but you can see where his chin ends
and his neck begins and it's like scrush on the neck.
Not really a fan of that, scruff on the face,
not on the neck. Anyways, I digress. I think the
Salt Lake City angle is interesting. Yes, I think that

(09:58):
that could be a great signed for a relationship. It's
a little bit concerning to me as a fan of
the show, which I mean secret lives of Mormon wives,
that there's no way you live in Utah and you
don't know who Taylor Frankie Paul is. You don't have
some sort of preconceived notion of who she is or

(10:19):
what her background is, or you don't already know her
or know her ex or know somebody connected to her.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
This is definitely a guy who knows like one of
the exes.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I would say, thank you.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
This is what I think is like producers are probably
being messy, producers being casting people, being like, let's put
somebody in that maybe like went to her high school
or somebody that knows her sibling or like worked for
her mom or something.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
You know what I mean. It's like, so there's.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
That that I'm just like like, uh, but I'm excited
to see it. I think Lou out of the Utah
guys in the bus, I think that he's probably the
one that could be the front runner of those guys.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah, he was the only one from Salt Lake City
that I put on the list.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
And also, just to be nitpicky, I don't think that
this color shirt is doing him any favors. I think
he really should have done something like darns or skin
tone exactly. That's why I'm like Lou Net for a
casting photo. For the actual bachelorette photo, he will probably
not be in that color.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
He will be in something else.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Wow, Halloween is around the corner, and your favorite podcasters
serving up episodes that are so good it's actually scary.
Sex and the City meets Severance when Adam Scott joins
Kristin Davis to discuss the haunting relationship between Big and

(11:52):
Natasha on Are You a Charlotte? And nine one one?
What's Your Emergency? The new episode of Call It What
It Is? Of course, Nashville co star Kimberly Williams. Paisley
joins Jessica Capshaw and Camilla Leddington to talk about her
health scare, her superstar Hubby Brad Paisley, and her memories
on the set of Father of the Bride with the
legendary Diane Keaton. Oscar winner Rie Larsen is a work

(12:15):
in progress. Sophia Bush finds out why, and Walt's right
over to daniel With because Danielle Fischel has fellow Dancing
with the Stars contestant Dylan Effron on to talk about
the ballroom, the leaderboard and more. Listen now on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I want to go off what you were saying. I
do think that this guy.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
May have had a past, maybe not a past with her,
but like he hasn't been able to date her before,
so he will.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
On the show to date her, so I'll see.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Or how do you know that producers aren't going to
be ultra messy and be like I went on a
date with her.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
It was amazing she didn't call me back.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
The fact that they don't do that more often.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Come on now, that would be so fun to watch
for people getting out of the limo and be like, whoops.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
Dating shows where they did that, where they did oh,
the same thing with Love Island this last season two.
They didn't do this on purpose, but two people that
ended up matching up had met at a club before
and had like this ship's passing in the night kind
of relationship where they were friends on Instagram but actually
never met up. So anyways, some of the Salt Lake

(13:28):
guys or some of the Utah guys in general, I
just feel like that's going to end up being a storyline.
It's gonna be we matched on a dating site, you
didn't end up going out with me, or we know
people in common, or we went to high school together,
or something like that's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Gotcha love it all right? Last guy for me kind
of looks like Tanner Tolbert kind of looks.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Like Tanner and Michael Garifola had a baby. And he's
thirty six from San Diego, California. It's Michael definitely has
the look that Taylor likes and he's thirty six, and
it's that's awesome. I even one of the comments underneath

(14:13):
the photos was like Michael she's gonna pick him, who's
thirty six on this list?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Usually love it.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
I fully agree that Michael, I think is a front runner.
Like this guy looks like a stud. First of all,
I'm really the facial hair good. Notice the neck, it's
like it's coming in the scruff, but he's like also
taming it, like he knows not to have it go
down the neck.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
But the hair looks really good.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Great hair, And like love the smile, like the crows feet,
Like we are all annoyed that it works so well
for men. And this guy's got the very attractive smile.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Crossfeed.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Yep, he's got I'm really into the shirp of collar.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
I know.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
I know me too, And it says high I could
live in Salt Lake and we know that. Like they
picked this photo on purpose because they wanted us to
think that this guy gave cold weather vibes.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Agree, I will say though it's giving headshot vibes.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Oh one thousand percent. This is a headshot. Now is
it a headshot for like his lumber company or is
it a headshot for modeling? I feel like we could
he has he owns a company in which he uses
his hands.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
I think he's a guy who does brawny paper towel
commercials or something.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Probably right, I'm just being hopeful.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Yeah, I mean, but we're into it.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
We're both aligned in the fact that we think Michael
is going to be a front runner.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Anyone else who I missed that you think is going
to be a front runner?

Speaker 5 (15:49):
I think, just based on the articles that have come
out that I think who is Lana del Rey's ex fiance,
I think he's going to stick around for a minute.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Clayton. I don't know if he's going to go far,
but I think.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
With a celebrity connection, he's not going to be going
home in the first couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
And to be honest, like his face looks like it
could be her type two. It's definitely a cast for her.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
This is so funny.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I guess normally we don't know what the leads, like
real type is, but in this case, we have two
serious exes that have been in the public eye and
they both look so similar.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Well, I can also say I don't know how many.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
People on the casting team normally work on a season,
but I can tell you that almost everybody that I
know in Los Angeles worked on this season. No way,
some capacity. I'm not even kidding that. I stopped counting
after Like I saw six of my colleagues working on
this show.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
So they're no way you are coming with the tea.
I love this.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
So many people that worked to make this season happen,
not only from because they were casting men and women simultaneously.
That's what when we talked about they kind of did
the switch up and they instead made the season for Taylor.
They were already in the process of casting women to
be on a season of The Bachelor, so they were

(17:29):
reaching out to guys and women at the same time.
So so yeah, like they had already a bunch of
people that they had been speaking to by the time
her announcement came out, and then they stayed on and
were casting for a couple more weeks after the official
announcement of her being on the show. Obviously, the team
knew it was her before the announcement was made, so

(17:51):
they were kind of casting to her liking already before
the announcement.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
But yeah, a lot of.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
Really really hard working people on the casting side have
been putting a lot a lot of effort into this season,
which is one reason I'm very excited to watch.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
For sure, they definitely want to be successful in the
terms of like they want her to end up with someone,
because they're going to want to document it on Secret
Lives exactly. And in addition to that, the more people
that are her type, the crazier of a season they're
going to have. Could you imagine if you walked into
a room and there was like six guys that were like,
so your type, because because wow, that's a lot of

(18:31):
guys to be your type in one room. I feel
like the normal bachelor bachelorette is probably like, holy shit,
I'm gonna actually say bachelorette because I do think that
women are tend to be pickier and have I'm just okay,
I'm also just speaking on behalf of myself.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
If I walked into a room and there were six
guys that were my.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Type, like, holy crap, I was truly expecting one if
I was lucky. So it'll be nuts if she actually
is attracted to six.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
And I know you started watching the show recently, so
you're kind of getting familiar with her.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
She falls hard and fast, and so that's what's.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Going to be so interesting because if they give her
such great options that are all similar and like what
she's kind of looking for. It is going to be
a very compelling season to watch her try and make
those decisions and make cuts and eliminations. It's gonna be
difficult for her. The other one that I'm gonna say,
because I don't think I mentioned it while we were

(19:30):
recording is Richard thirty five from Charleston, South Carolina.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Oh yeah, you think he's hot, So let me see
this guy.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
I think he's the hottest in the bunch.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Okay, hold on, hold on, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
We talk about the rugged look. He's got that ll
Bean catalog looking.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
All right, you know what it is.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
He does have a good face, totally understand what you're
talking about. But he doesn't have hair, And for me,
I mean he is not bald. Yeah, he just I
just like a guy who grows out their hair a
little bit. Anything that resembles a buzz cut is not
my fave. So would this guy cut that crows his
hair three inches? Then I'm like, yes, I get it,

(20:13):
I fully agree with that. But he has your neck
scraff that you don't like.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
Yeah, and also he needs to tighten that up. You
know what I'm going to say. I'm going to say
he he was in between, because like he's also really
light in general in the facial hair, which is also
not really my thing.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
I don't know, there's something about him. I think he
looks like.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
A former bachelor, doctor Travis Stork.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I see that, definitely saying.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
One of the hottest bachelors of all time.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah, he was underrated, right, And I do love thirty
five Charleston, South Carolina. I do see her with somebody
from the south to Midwest to.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
You know, I would cut ice.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
We always get weary when we see the southern California guys, but.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
That's close to Utah, Ashley.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
It's not a far flight southern California. Yeah no, yeah,
I know, but it's just like you know that they
always I always feel like they might be a little
bit more wrong recency. I'm also stereotyping hardcore well for sure.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
But you're You're absolutely right for the most part. It's
like these guys aren't from California. They moved to California
for a dream or a good looking face. I don't
know whatever it was that got them out here, but
I hear you. I think the East Coast, guys are
going to be at a loss on this show for sure.

(21:36):
I think that she really is going to take that
into consideration.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, alrighty well, guys, that was fun. Can't wait to
get these official pictures and say, see who's really on
the season, which I do believe is filming now.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
I think so too. I think it did start filming.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Yeah, well, I'm gonna have to I'm I'm gonna have
to stock her activity on Instagram. I'm surprised that she
didn't say audios, but I guess it'll be obvious.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
I know that they put out a notice last week
on Bachelor Nation to be a part of her upcoming
group date and Los Angeles, but that is not until
the first week of November.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
So you know what's weird is normally they start in
late September so that they can get done by Thanksgiving.
They usually wrap like days before Thanksgiving. I guess they'll
be going into Thanksgiving and just skipping that week.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Well, can I just say that if you want to
film Utah and it's peak time, I know, right, filming
in the winter when there's snow, because otherwise it kind
of just looks like womp. Womp on TV. So that
might be a factor in why that they're doing filming
kind of later in the year, is because if they're
filming in Utah, which we know according to her mom

(22:48):
that they are going to be, it'll make for a
much more beautiful background when Utah is looking snowy.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
See.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
I was thinking that they could not start filming in
September like usual because they decided it was going to
be her and like they really wanted to do casting
just for her, and they were going to have to
work around her schedule. So I do think that they
probably put themselves in a pickle and they're just like,
all right, well, it's going to be a weird month

(23:17):
of film in November December, when usually the industry is
like off.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Well, I think alsomber the Bachelor mansion renovation we know
just finished finished. I think that probably had a factor
in too.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yep, lots of things to think about, all right, guess
we love it so much, so so much.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Until next time. I've been Ashley, I've been Heather.

I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
