Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hello, everyone, welcome to the almost on his podcast today.
It is the Almost Famous podcast. But I am joined
by the ogs Trista and Bob because Ben is away
for two weeks in Italy and who better I'm who
better to break down the Golden Bachelor with than these
two golden alums. You guys are golden because you're wonderful
(00:31):
and you also happen to be you know, a little
bit more on yeah, a little bit more on the
you know, you're a little more on the vintage side.
I think so Vintach is fine to say, right.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Uh, you know, whatever, it is, what it is. I
what I like to say is that we relate more
to the Golden Bachelor than I think maybe we do
to the twenty somethings on Bachelor and Bachelorette.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
These days, you guys are a little more closer. You're
a little closer to the age group in this new cast,
but you're certainly nowhere close close to it. That being said, guys,
let's talk about the ages. There's no fifty somethings. It
starts at sixty. I think this is a surprise to
(01:19):
a lot of people. What do you guys think?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Do you think I didn't think it would I didn't
think it would start under sixty.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Oh I thought we were going to get fifty somethings.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, I did too, I gotta be I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I actually thought it was going to be.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
I was looking for a couple outliers, you know what
I mean, like a few forty five at fifties, and
I was shocked, pleasantly surprised actually.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
When it was me too, me too. I didn't want
to call fifty somethings golden.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
No, thank you. Yeah, I'm fifty two.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
You're right, that would be way too young for this shop.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, you know that sooner, you know that, soon people
are going to say stuff like, okay, but what about me,
like where's the middle aged bachelor bachelor at we've already
met in fifties definitely want their own show now too.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
We have talked about it. So we had Deanna on
the ogs and we talked about how her and I
went to the mental hall and how she, you know,
was talking to the producers about hello, she's single, like
she would like a middle aged show. Yeah, so yeah,
for sure, I feel like it would be a great,
great show. I mean, I don't know if you hear this,
(02:29):
but and Bob probably hears it too as much as
I do, but you might not. Just that, people come
up to me and they're like, oh, I watched during
your season, but I stopped watching that. And they were
older people, so they're in their probably fifties, sixty seventies maybe,
And I feel like there's going to be a resurgence
of those people because they stopped watching after maybe me
(02:50):
and Ryan are were somewhere around there, maybe after Bob,
and I think they're going to watch again because, like
we just said, I think they relate more to what
Gary and these women have been through in their life
and how they have kids and grandkids and whatever, more
than the twenty something's coming right out of college, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah, sure, yeah, I've heard that a lot too, actually,
trist And it's funny because I always say the same line,
which is, oh, I either you know, set the bar
so high you couldn't watch anymore. I completely there's probably
no middle ground in there, and it's you know, hopefully
it's neither of those. But yeah, I do hear that
a lot. I think you're right I think it's going
to be I mean, my my, uh, you know, for
(03:33):
what it's worth, My mom and her friends are all
very excited about it, and you know, they're talking about
it and asking me a bunch of questions. I'm like,
I don't know, I don't know anything. We'll have to
wait and see.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
So I'm excited for it because social media hyperu on
the show is unlike a Bachelor or Bachelorette season that
we It's been years, it's been years since we saw
this kind of excitement. And to add in, everybody's pretty
excited about Joey, So I think we're on an upwards
trajectory with the friend. I think that this show, though,
might get like some seriously crazy ratings in comparison to
(04:06):
our past few Bachelor Bachelor at seasons.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
I totally agree, I really do.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
It's so interesting, indifferent.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yea, yeah, well, and the conventional viewing platform. I mean,
at the end of the day, you know, the one
thing that's made it, you know, so sustainable over the
years hasn't been the weekly viewership on ABC. It's really
been the streaming and all of the other platforms where
people have actually been able to watch the show and
I think you'll probably see a resurgence in the traditional
ratings around this show because a lot of a lot
(04:35):
of the people watching it that will relate to it,
you know, don't know how to get online anyway. Totally,
I feel terrible saying it, but it's true.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
No, it's I think we're going to get a lot
of first time viewers, people who have never watched the
show before, and a lot of returnees and then basically
anyone who's still currently watching the show. Christriss that you
actually have an episode that you've already filmed of the
Golden Bachelor. Ben isn't here to express his jealousy, and
(05:06):
we can before we dive into the cast and like
all their bios, I would love to get a little
teaser from what you witness in person.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
So I can't talk about what I did. Everyone will
just have to tune in. But I am. I did
get a chance to meet a few of the ladies,
and I am. Let me just say this will be
what I say. I am so excited for this show.
(05:35):
Like you know, I think when when this concept first
kind of came about, I heard like people in the
press or whatever on social being like are you kidding me,
like they're gonna have grandma and grandpa joined this. These
are grandma and grandpa. Grandma's obviously Gary's grandpa, but these
are Grandma's. But they are with it, like they are
(05:56):
gorgeous in person, seen my personal again, they have had
lives that are you know, pretty outstanding. Like I, I'm
here for it. I am so excited to see these
ladies and what like transpires you know on the show.
(06:18):
Other than what I got to be a part of.
I am just and I was trying to get the
ones that I met, you know, on social like get
in touch with me after the show, you know, I
know you can't phones, and they're they're all kind of like, well,
we don't know how to do that. I'm like, well,
hopefully someone will help you with back.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
I really want to.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I want to connect with them on social and I
know that it was it's really you know, not their thing,
but I am so so excited, so excited.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
How was Gary, I'm assuming you met him?
Speaker 3 (06:50):
I did so. I met Gary at the mental al
for Chance and and actually we're talking about social media.
I don't I think I shared this story on Oge's
but I walked into the makeup room and he was
sitting there. Gina had just finished with him, and I
was like, oh my gosh, Gary, hi, how are you, Like,
(07:11):
how is it going? And you know, of course so
pleasant and so sweet, and and I said, how is
social media? Because I think he had just done an
interview or something where I heard him talking about how
it's really daunting because he knows nothing. And I was like,
how's social media? And he goes, oh, are you part
of the social media crew?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Oh? And then you had to say I'm just the
first bachelor at.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
I was like, oh, my name's Christa and I was
on the you know, the first show and then was
the first bachelor. And he jumped out of his seat
and came and gave me the biggest hug. And then
later I think I posted this on my on my
social account. So later we went to I went to
his room to like, you know, take a couple of
(08:01):
pictures with the rose, of course, and I walk into
his dressing room and he is He's just the sweetest
and kindest man, like just so wholesome, but also so
fun and so funny, and he was like, let's dance,
and he grabbed my hand and started singing at last
to me and was like dancing did you puss us?
(08:23):
I did in a in a carousel, So it was
like the last I think I did. Maybe I didn't. Anyway,
it was just the sweetest moment, and so yes, I
have had the pleasure of meeting him. I gave him
some advice when I was there, and I'm hoping that
(08:45):
he takes the advice. It was basically, and I would
tell this advice to anybody, but basically, choose the person
that you can't see living your life without, because that's
some That's the best advice that I ever got during
my season. And obviously it's worked out this far, so
hopefully he'll heed that advice and it will turn out
(09:08):
to be a successful, you know, show and relationship for him.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Afterwards, when you were there for what we'll presume was
a date, did you like sense any drama amongst the cast?
Speaker 3 (09:23):
You guys, this is what I think will be so
different about this show is that twenty somethings they're like
all for the drama, you know what I mean, Like
they're just they don't care about who you are, and
and it's it's been a thing, you know, for years
I'm not here to make friends, right, I've always hated
(09:45):
that term, like cause why not, Like why don't you
want to make friends? Yeah, it's a fun environment, so
why not make friends? And obviously we are all from
different parts and we're friends, you know, so like why not.
But anyway, I think that their age, like they're just like,
why would we want drama? We are here, you know,
(10:06):
to meet Gary. And I think they truly get it
that it's just what it is. Like they do not
have social media, they don't want to like and maybe
I don't know because I didn't meet all of them,
maybe like some of them are there to like promote
their businesses or whatever, and they've heard you know that
that's that can be a benefit. But I truly feel
(10:26):
like it they're there for what the show was started for,
and that is to find love. And that's why I
think even more than you know, us being able to relate,
is that people are going to watch because it kind
of is back to the feel good part of the show,
and that's just to find love.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
I gotta tell you, guys, I'm a big fan of
just even the photo of everyone with a little bit
elegant right.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
The black addresses the backgrounds.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah, I love it, I guess in the video in
the video, yeah, I mean everything about it so far
has a different, what I think is more of a
classier take on the show. And I feel like it's
it's basically almost announcing right from the jump, Hey, this
is going to be different, guys, we get it. It's
not just about the age difference and things.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Of that nature.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
But we're going after, you know, a totally different feel,
and I hope it rubs off on future airings of
the show when we go back to, you know, the
normal contact because you know, like you said at Trista
and because I'm driving, I was muted and didn't want
to say anything. But I was there to make friends
when I went on Trista season or Batchel and and
(11:37):
I've made great friends, not just with Trista and Ryan,
but with so many guys that were part of the
cast that I remained close to over the years. And
it's like that was such a huge thing for me,
and I do I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
You know, at the end of the day, you hope
that the worst you can walk away with some friends
and at the best you walk away with the love
of your life, you know. So I feel like that's,
(12:00):
you know, that's something that I'm really looking forward to
with this season. And after looking at the photos of
the ladies and especially at the group photo and and
everything else, I mean, it seems better right now already
than where we're at after the first you know, rose ceremony,
when everyone's on land up and ready to go, It's
like it's already at a different starting point for me
as a fan, and I'm really excited about that.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, that group photo was so vanity fair slash, you know,
Kardashian Christmas card. Everybody looks so classy and they're definitely
not going for like a real Housewives vibe at all.
And let's mention that the music that they've put to
these promos shares, do you believe? And then the Golden Hour,
(12:43):
Oh my gosh, they're so perfectly placed and they get
us excited like an old school bachelor promo.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Agreed. I love the video promo with like little snippets
of them putting on jewelry and like, you know, cleaning
their glasses and like putting on their hose like it's
it's sexy. But it's so classy and I am again
I'm totally here for it.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
All right, I know we had to break down the
cast list. But one more question, Trisa, just since you've
have a little bit more firsthand experience with the team,
do you know why the producers chose him and how
they found him? Well, I guess it's pretty obvious why
they chose him, but how do they find him?
Speaker 3 (13:24):
So his daughters nominated him as.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Like the lead because I remember, you know, the old
casting call, which was a couple of years ago. That's
at the earliest question.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
I do not know that answer, but I do know
that his daughters nominated him. So whether it was to
be part of the cast or the lead, I don't
know if they knew back then if they were going
to do a bachelor or bachelorette. No, they did. They
knew they were going to do a bachelor first, right.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
They knew they were going to do a bachelor first.
But yeah, so so it was basically kind of like
send him any any older person, right.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yes, it was his daughter's and I'm so thankful they
did because I truly feel like he was a genius
cast like for the casting directors. I think he is
just as I said, so wholesome, and I personally think
that everyone is going to want to root for him
(14:23):
because his story is so heartbreaking and you want him
to find, you know, someone to share his life with again.
Maybe not replace I'm not maybe not not replace his wife,
but have start this new adventure with someone for the
remainder of their lives, which you know, hopefully they have
(14:46):
a lot longer to live and they're going to be
together for at least twenty thirty years, you know. I
just I think he is. He's good looking, he's really
witty and care arismatic. Obviously he was singing at last
to me and dancing with me the first time I
(15:06):
met him. And he's so fun Like I just think
he has such a fun personality. He loves his friendships,
he loves his family, and I don't know, I just
I think it was a genius cast move for the
cast characters.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Yeah, I'm so happy they found him. Okay, so this
is what we get, This is what we're gonna do,
This is what we do. At the beginning of every
season of the cast list is announced. For those listening
at home, go to the roster that we're going to
use which is the ABC dot com Golden Bachelor cast.
You just type it into Google you want, guys, it's
(15:47):
just the Goldenbachelor ABC dot Com. Okay, so we're gonna
go through each of the ladies. They're only twenty two ladies,
which I also kind of like, we're not gonna be
overwhelmed by them. I wonder if that means it's going
to be a shorter season.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
I would say, like after Charity season, like since it's
following Charities, that it's shorter, do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (16:07):
I can't imagine Charities was at an episode shorter. I
kind of enjoyed it. I kind of liked it to
be more fast paced and like just getting to the
good stuff.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Really I agree, I agree, And wasn't it was it
two hours long? It was Charities?
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, I was two hours long?
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Oh it still was okay.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yeah, but I assume just for their filming schedule that
it needs to be shorter. But like, either way, I
like the fact that the cast is a little bit
more condensed, and they seem like so high quality. When
you look at all these little pictures here, you're like,
it's such a good looking cast. Everybody looks like they've
just taken such good care of themselves, and I just
I just love these ladies already.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Actually, I so agree with you.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
My mom is seventy eight, okay, and I literally am
so protective of this generation of women and men. Just
I just have so much mad respect for my elders
and especially like my parents' age and stuff, and I
just I feel like the people that they chose to
be on the show, I hope that they are treated
well by the Bachelor fans like I'm sure they will be,
(17:08):
but man, I will just be I'm going to be
beside myself if it's just like a shred fest online
all the time.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
I just hope it's not.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Because these women I've not met any of them, but
I absolutely, like, I already adore them, and I'm going
to be so protective. So I just hope the guy
that people are respectful and appreciative of these people putting
themselves out there at the stage in the game, and
you know, are just I mean, I'm just I just
think it's such an honor to have people like this
(17:38):
on this show right now, because there's not a there's
not a person of the bunch that seems like they're
a joke by any means. Right, They're all coming in
there and there's no stunt casting or no you know,
obvious person that's going to stand out as a you know,
like like do less seasons, you know. Yeah, there's nobody
coming in here trying to just distir the pot. You know.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah, guys, Bob's traveling right now. So is that the
most reliable sound wise? So we are going to go
back and forth Tristan and I through this cast list.
If there's anything that we'd like to like make up
per what Ben does, usually we will, But if not,
I just want to be sweet to these ladies because
they seem wonderful and they're all our moms or grandma's.
So Trista, let's start with Anna.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Okay. So Anna is sixty one. She is a retired
nutritionist from Summit, New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
She's traveled to over twenty countries. She has three daughters
and loves hiking and skiing with them. And the Adventurers
don't stop there because when she dives with sharks, she
goes cageless. She also likes spending her sundays at the
local farmer's market, and.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
I love that she put forging for mushrooms.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Forging for mushrooms, Okay, I saw this too, and learning
about new herbs and plants. Does she sound like someone
who may want to smoke a little doobie with him?
That's my ben take.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Well, wait, she's New Jersey. Is New Jersey? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:04):
I think so?
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yeah? Okay, or she's just a chef.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
I don't know. Forging for mushrooms interesting.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
I don't know anything about mushrooms because I hate them, so.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
I'm not a mushroom fan either, never gonna buy some
at the grocery store. So her going out of her
way to find them very interesting.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yeah, right. Next up is April. She's sixty five, she's
a therapist, and she's from Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
All Right, so she is like the Zazagabar, right. She
just seems like the little over the top extravagance luxury lady.
I just imagine her just like living the luxury life
by the pool in Florida. Y. She says that she
talks to her family daily and make sure to end
every conversation with I love you. I feel that she
(20:06):
has been dating since losing her partner and it's been
really difficult, and she enjoys spending time with her kids, grandkids,
loves dancing to Taylor Swift, watching Bridgerton, and playing with
her two dogs. So I would like to hang out
with this lady, I mean right, she is, we all would.
(20:26):
She wants to write a best selling book. Finding pennies
brings her joy. That's awesome. And she's a secretly hidden
tattoo of her nickname, which is Presh, which just further
continues this Zaza goabor thing for me.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, but it's spelled zaza. Right, So have you you've
heard of the word, right, yeah? So I honestly, Lisa
Levinson and I back on bachelorette days. She I swear
she coined term and it's used all the time now,
and we used to talk about how it's spelled. And
(21:06):
I think it's spelled zs oh something. But because of
Ja Jac, because it's like the ZS, I don't anyway.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Well, thank you, because I wouldn't have no idea how
to even google the word. I know, I'm pretty sure
I've tried to do it before. All right, let's go
on to Christina.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Okay. Christina is seventy three and I wonder if she's
the oldest. She is the oldest.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
She is. I thought there's like a seventy five.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
No, no, wait, there's a second page. Seventy five is
the oldest. There's two seventy five year olds, so she's
the third oldest. She's a retired purchasing manager, and she's
from Sierra Madre, California.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
She says these are her go go years, not her
slow goo years. And well, the biggest fun fact that
the Internet is buzzing about when it comes to Christina
is that her first ever concert was the Beatles in
nineteen sixty four. Yeah, so that's a cool fun fact
to have about yourself. She also loves a good dude
(22:15):
ranch and prefers to drive stick ships. So this is
our badass bitch, I think.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Totally right, I can. I mean Sierra Madre. I don't
know anything about it, but it seems like it's very outdoorsy,
and from what I remember, I believe that Gary is
into adventure, and yeah, I don't know exactly, but I
have a feeling that he likes a good adventure and
being outdoorsy. So who knows. Okay, Edith, she is sixty.
(22:43):
She's a retired realtor and she's from Downy, California. Another Californian.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
She's also a mom and grandmother. She is retired realtor,
but she's still kind of like keeping up with that life.
She's building an adu in her backyard, which I had
to look up what this was, but it's basically like
a little like it's like a guesthouse in your backyard,
and she's the project manager. She also doesn't do cold ever,
(23:09):
which is like, I mean, the guy does live in
Indiana and he loves this very sentimental lake house. Let's
see how that goes down. And then Edith makes beautiful
hand painted birthday cards as well as loves going salsa dancing.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Okay, that's amazing. I yeah, the cold thing. I used
to say that, you know when I think there was
even a clip of me on one of the shows
being like I really don't like cold weather. And hello,
hied to Colorado and have been living for twenty years.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
What we'll do for men? Okay, yeah, Next exactly, says Ellen,
because we I also live in a cold state for
my husband.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
We do what we do, We do what we do. Okay.
Next one is Ellen. She is seventy one, and she's
a retired teacher from Delray Beach, Florida.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
All right, she is super friendly looking. She looks like
a retired teacher, you know what I mean, Like she
has that friendly teacher look. I wonder what grade she
is used to teach. So, like many of these ladies,
she loves playing pickleball. There's like a joke in one
of the promos that they just all love playing pickleball.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Me too, by the way, I love it.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yeah, I have never played, but I do enjoy bouncing
that ball around the house.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
And then, and I'm sure Dawson does.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
That's what I mean. That's why I have a pickleball
loose in the house if anybody was wondering. I love
the fact that she admits that she enjoys watching TV.
She also likes just remaining healthy, playing bachi ball with
her girlfriends. She dreams of going on an African safari,
loves dancing despite her left two feet, and idolizes Michelle Obama.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Okay, love it. I mean, who doesn't want to go
to Africa on Safari?
Speaker 2 (24:56):
I do. I would be worried, but again another adventure.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Yeah that's true. Although I don't know, I feel like
there's a way that you can say that they're an
adventure like I'm you know, I'm kind of in between
an adventurer and not. And I definitely would want to
go to Africa.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Yeah, okay, so far reason in between, Bill Listen, Cageless
Shark diving is the USA for sure.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Okay. Next up it's Faith and I just love her name.
First of all, she's sixty, and I believe that's the youngest, right,
is sixty.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
There's a couple.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
She is sixty. She's the high school teacher and she's
from Benton City, Washington, and having high school students, I
can tell you it takes a very special person to
be a high school teacher.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
You know. For sure, two sons, four grandkids, and she's
a woman of many talents. So she is still teaching.
It seems radio hosting.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I want to know about that.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah, okay, guess. But she also has on her bucket
list that she'd like to dive with sharks. She also
wants to ride a motorcycle and get a tattoo, and
she's trying to find someone, of course, that will do
all that with her. She loves riding her horse, Liberty,
through the mountains and hates technology that doesn't constantly work.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Don'miol I mean love? Okay. Jeannie is sixty five. She's
a retired project manager and she's from Still Springs, Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
M She's a certified scuba diver. This is where I
really question Genie though. She says that her favorite color
is neon, and I'm like, girl, that is like a
shade of Colorson is not a color. It's a shade
of pink and green and yellow. She dreams of going
(26:52):
to the super Bowl one day, and she loves taking
active like Zoomba lessons, walking dogs is anything that's active
for her. And uh yeah, she's got great role models
in Oprah, Dolly Parton, and Princess Diana.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
I mean those are some pretty good role models. Okay.
Next is Joan, who only gorgeousness.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
She is, yeah, gorgeous. Like I don't want to like
rank anyone, but I will say that she's like one
of the ones that my eyes goes toward. Okay, she's
gonna be She's gonna be quite the hotter.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
And then I'll tell you when when we come to.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, there's another one. I know. It's when you're talking
about I think, yep, she looks like Michelfeiffer or something.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
I mean she doesn't have blonde hair, so maybe not Joan.
She's sixty years old, a private school administrator from Rockland, Maryland.
Is that somewhere near you in Roman?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah? Yes? So like I want to hang out with
her because she's well one kind of around my home
and she also loves listening to Elton John, hanging with
her dog, cooking delicious meal, all those things I like
to do as well. She lost her husband of thirty
two years to pay greatic cancer, so this is definitely
going to be like one of those stories that I
(28:07):
think is going to be quite highlighted. She loves dancing
after a few glasses of wine. She enjoys historical museums,
and she likes big, juicy burgers. So like, yeah, this
is my girl.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
So up is Kathy. She is seventy. She's a retired
educational consultant, which I'd love to know.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
What that is.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
She's from Austin, Texas, which I love. Austin, TeX's great,
great city.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
So for many years she worked as an educational consultant
where she helped students apply for their dream colleges. Actually
I had one of those. My parents got me one
of those. And he was not helpful whatsoever. Oh he wasn't. No,
I did not like. I did not like going to
see that man. And I also like, did not agree
with the kinds of colleges he wanted me to go to.
(28:59):
And I ended up going to someplace that he wouldn't
have been like totally a fan of anyway.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Okay, maybe she's better.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
I'm sure she's better. Such a side note. Okay, So
she loves the outdoors kayaking, hiking, skiing, and she has
been to three continents but wants to go to all seven.
She has two adorable geriatric cats, and Kathy is obsessed
with Christmas. It's very sweet.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
I love it, the cat lady who loves Christmas. Okay, Leslie,
she's my other I catcher like. I think she is
a stunner. Those cheek oones, her eyes. I just she's stunning.
Leslie is sixty four. She's a fitness instructor and she's
from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Okay, so she goes beyond fitness instructor. She also loves
to figure skate and dance and she's run ten marathons
and is looking for her running buddy for life. When
she's not the gym, she is a mom to three
kids and a gladma to three grandkids. I love it.
(30:10):
She's a former aerobics champion, and Lady Gaga and Post
Malone at are the top of Leslie's Best Concerts Ever list.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
She's my favorite book. I mean just from that bio.
Even if you took away like what she looks like,
she is amazing. Okay, Maria is the next one sixty
years old. Sixty years young is what we're going to say.
Health and Wellness director. She's from Teaneck, New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
She's got three kids in their twenties. Her career in
health and wellness is extremely important to her, and she's
also really passionate about helping families affected impacted by autism.
She has never gone paintballing, but really wants to try.
So people there are yeah, people are out there are
saying like, please put Maria on a paintballing date and
(30:57):
her out. Her favorite indulgence is a glass of one
hundred year old gren marnee is it great Mornee or
Mariner marnee grandmone Right. And she also loves Valentine's Day,
which is just like an adorable fun fact for somebody
who's supposedly been single for a bit.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yeah, that's true. Hopefully if they end up together, Gary
steps it up on Valentine's Day. Okay, Rina, she's sixty
years old. She's an educator. We have a lot of
teachers and educators in educator from Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
She's super pretty too. I mean they are all very attractive.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Gray.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I like the grace with like her big thick, healthy hair. Yeah, yes, Dame.
So she's a mom to two kids, and when she's
not spending time with her family, she likes well, like
so many of them, spin class, hiking, cooking, going for
long drives. I appreciate that she has not one, two,
(31:56):
but three master's degrees. She refuses to stand in lines. Wait,
like it just says Marina doesn't stand in lines. So
Marina need to know, Like, are we talking like long
hour hour long, like amusement park it's getting into the club, yeah,
(32:16):
or are we talking like grocery store lines of two
or three people?
Speaker 3 (32:20):
That's literally where I was thinking, like target, like you
have to stand in line.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
I think it's probably, like, you know, amusement parks. Yeah, yeah, totally.
I mean unless she goes to clubs and she's like,
I refuse to stand outside. I have to have the
door open to me. You know.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Well, I don't know about you, but I stopped going
to clubs a long time ago.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
The same.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
Yeah, Okay, Nancy is the next one. So cute.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
This is Nancy. She's the one I think looks like
a Michelle Fivers. You were pretty, You're right right.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
She's sixty, retired into your designer from Alexandria, Virginia.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
She she is also near my home. She's got a
golden doodle. She likes playing golf. She's a mother of three,
and she I think I think she may have also
lost her husband, because she says even she believes in
love stories, even having a great one, she believes that
(33:20):
she can have another one. Nancy loves a good rom com.
She's a dancing machine, but only at weddings. And she's
a big Bruce Springsteen stan as she calls herself, Ah cute,
very cute.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Cancel a bunch of concerts.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I heard, Yes, I did hear.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Yeah. Natasha sixty pro aging coach and midlife speaker. And
she's from New York, New York.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
She is looking for a romantic, athletic, and emotionally available man.
I like that. She also enjoys the farmer's market, taking
walks around Central Park, and spending time with her fifteen
year old granddaughter. She'll be taking dance classes, yoga classes,
listening to Janet Jackson around New York City, she says,
(34:06):
and she also wants Bell Bottoms to make a comeback.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Oh my gosh, I remember reading that. That's the cutest
thing ever.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
So cute. I mean, also, Natasha, I guess what they're
kind of coming back. They're pretty bad, yeah, and they're back.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
I agree. What the Janet Jackson thing? That is so
funny because I looked just said the same thing to somebody.
We were talking about concerts, and I was like, god,
Janet Jackson came. I would go and people were like,
Janet Jackson, how old are you?
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Why janed? I think she's on tour right now, and
like Caitlin Briso and stuff went there. I'm freaky liber
I don't find a love for Janet Jackson to be
a dated fact whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
I know, right, I will say it's it's interesting because
I think a lot of these women have a lot
in common, like the shark shark divers I do the
farmers markets. So I wonder if they're using that and
they're going to put the use that for dates, like
if they're going to go to a farmer's market and
they're going to go shark diving and you know, I
(35:14):
don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Well, it's it's telling to me that they keep up
with their health because like they're eating fresh and they're
all active.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Yeah, and I think he wants that. I think they
probably took notes because that's what they usually do with
the leads, is see what they're looking for, and those
are the kind of people that they cast. So I
think they listened, you know, which is good. Yeah, Okay.
So Pamela is a seventy five year old she's one
of the oldest two or the oldest retired salon owner
(35:44):
from Aurora, Illinois.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
It says when she's not at the salon, she loves
to read on a hammock while sitting at cocktail. I'm like, yes,
that sounds like a great life. Yes. She has two kids,
three grandchildren, loves a backyard barber, you can't get enough
judge Judy in her life, and loves to cuddle.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
I got enough, Judge, Judy, that's a goodness. I don't
know if I see Gary liking that, but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
She just wants to kind of like sit on the couch,
you know what I mean. She's a relaxer.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Netflix.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
We don't see anything about her wanting to work out,
but like I also respect, you know, yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Hey, you be you okay, Patty. This is Matt James's
mom and she is seventy and she's smoking hot, holy cow,
like gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Matt.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
Yeah, he gets it from retired real estate professional and
from Durham, North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
So she's been single for almost thirty years. Like I'm
sure she's dated in there, but you know, like she
hasn't had I guess it's been thirty years since she
was with Matt's dad says her heart is open and
she hopes to share her positivity and zest for life
with a partner. She's an avid sailor. She loves body
glitter and encourages you to also apply body glitter, and
(37:04):
she can't start her day without a cup of coffee,
which you know that's pretty normal, but body glitter. You
got me there, girl, Body glitter.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
I don't know about that one, because my daughter wanted
to apply it everywhere. For the Taylor Swift concert. Mind you,
she had all these jewels all over and those looked
really cute. But the body glitter, I was like, eh,
I think that's a little too much.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
I remember like for instant concerts, like getting ready to
feel my prettiest, like I would just slab on a
ton of glitter. It's like a roll of glitter on
to my cheeks, just the center of the cheeks, like
my cheekbone. Like I thought it was cool. It was
very strange.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
I mean, it's not strange. It's just life.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
It's just childhood.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
So she continues to be passionate about her work. She
even went back to her dental practice after initially retiring
because she missed it so much. I cannot imagine missing
being in other people's mouths. Watch, but she really does
like she loves she loves it. She's gone on multiple
dental missions around the world where she's volunteered to serve
(38:05):
developing nations. That's amazing, that's really really cool. She also
has a bijon named Libby. She would love to be
Jennifer Lopez for the day, I mean, I know. And
then she's a go karting enthusiast.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Okay, Renee is our next, and she is a woman
after my own heart because she was a former cheerleader,
or for football, a former Chicago Honey Bear cheerleader. She's
sixty seven and she's from Chicago.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Okay, so maybe I don't know what Chicago. You know
what the Bears call there? Okay, the Bears called the
cheerleaders honey Bears. Okay, yeah, because it says NFL team
like former NFL team. But she's also written two books,
and she's got kids and grandkids. She loves planting, spending
time with her cat, attending fitness classes, going for walks,
(39:11):
and oh my gosh, the most romantic thing she's ever
done was knit a homemade blanket so that the man
could always feel her warmth and love around him. She
really wants to meet Harry Styles, and she loves taking
her kids to the zoo. And Renee doesn't enjoy the
(39:34):
taste of fishy tasting fish, which yeah, most of us
probably don't.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
No, I hate that.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
That's gross. I know it's so gross.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Yes, okay, Next, it's Sandra. She's seventy five. She's a
retired executive assistant from Doraville, Georgia.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
She won't be having her first time on TV because
she has been on Well Fortune before. Yes, she's hoping
to hit a jackpot again, but this time with love.
She says that anything by Luther Vandros puts her in
the mood. She is very proud of her high credit score.
(40:14):
And Sandra has thirty two favorite NFL teams because she
loves them all and just like all those fun facts
about her just make me love her so much.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
I love Sandra. Oh my god, that is really cute bio.
Such a cute but because I feel like everyone everyone
has kind of been the same, Like, you know, you
say the same thing. It's like, oh us when I
filled out my bio for it's the same, Like you
just say who you are and we're all kind of
the same.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
But Sandra, I mean that's a perfect bio. I love her.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
She also likes thrifting and I love thrifting.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
Oh, yes, done, Okay, Susan. She is sixty six. She's
the wedding efficient just like Ryan and you.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Yes, oh she's okay, she's sixty six. Okay, the oldest
is sixties is seventy five?
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Okay, wow, Yes, she's sixty six, wedding efficient and she's
from Aston, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
She's the one that is being compared to Chris Jenner
all over the internet. And well, her fun fact is
that she dreams of having lunch with Chris Jenner. So
I'm assuming that there's like some inspiration going on with her.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
Look that is gonna happen. You have to make that happen.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
I know. So Chris is a fan of the show.
She's I would assume would definitely be watching this show.
Oh and could you imagine if she makes like a
little cameo appearance. That would be so.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Cool fun I would love that.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Yes, And like they just did the Hulu crossover. The
Kardashians just talked about it on the show.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Yeah, and they just did you see that whole spook.
I'm sure you did the whole spoof that Kim did
saying that she was going.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
To get next exactly.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
Wrote I wrote Milty, and I was like, is this
really happening?
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Like That's what I'm saying. They're very bond to the
show as of currents, So let's see. She also enjoys
going to concerts. Her two favorite concerts in her lifetime
have been The Rolling Stones in Pink Floyd Amazing. She
also has kids and grandkids, loves going to the beach
with them. And oh she also has a pair of
(42:20):
Pink Go Go boots.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
oOoOO those are going to be coming out this season.
I have if I had to put my money down. Okay, Sylvia,
it's sixty four, she's a public affairs consultant and she's
from Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Okay, So something striked me about Sylvia when I was
going through the bio. It seems like she's never been married.
Sylvia has always dreamed of getting married and is looking
for a man who's a good listener with a romantic heart.
She's a total boss girl and has been very professionally successful,
but now she's ready to shift her focus over to romance.
(42:54):
She has some fun fun facts here because she says
that she loves any excuse to put on a cost.
You enjoys lifting small weights, and Sylvia has a famous
pistachio cake that she.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
Makes ooh yums that is hysterical that she put in
a small weights.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
So Amasic and our last Lady.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
Our Last lady is Teresa. She's seventy. She's a financial
services professional, and she's from Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
So she's got kids and grandkids. Like many of them,
she is ready to find love after loss. She hopes
to meet a partner who will be her best friend
in this next chapter and we'll appreciate all the little
moments with her. She likes playing board games, reading romance novels,
in hula hooping. Her fun thoughts, I know, and I
(43:56):
was just trying to visualize this seventy year old hula
will being much better than because I can't get that
thing around my waist more than twice.
Speaker 3 (44:02):
Yes, something you never knew about Ashley.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
I I find anyone who can to be quite the talent.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
Okay, yay, I'm talented. Then they are most definitely going
to have a Hulu whupit the house.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Then to see this yeah yes, and then Her fun
facts include she loves to sing alone in the car,
she taught herself about the stock market, and she loves
seventies rock, both soft rock and hard rock.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
So cute. Oh my gosh, they are, like, I really
think there's just such a stellar lineup. I am already
invested in a few of these women and really.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Excited me too. I don't want to do what Ben
usually does and pick a top three. Let's get to
know him a little bit more first episode before we
do that. They all seem sweet and beautiful and interesting
and we can't wait for this season. It's gonna be
here before we know it. We will hopefully have you
back then, Trista, when you are on for your date,
