latest views this hour. In just four minutes, Wall Street's
closing was stocks sharply lower one day after President Trump
announced sweeping global tariffs. The S and P five hundred
finishing correction territory as the White House announced a baseline
tariff for eight of ten percent against most countries that
will go into effect on Saturday. Kristen Welker has.

More the Dow tumbling more than sixteen hundred points, a
decline of roughly four percent, the SMP faring even worse,
falling roughly five percent, and the Nasdaq sliding roughly six percent.
It was the worst day for the SMP and Nasdaq
since March of twenty twenty, when markets were rocked by
the pandemic.

At the closing bell, the Dow was down sixteen seventy nine,
the SMP lost two hundred and seventy four points, and
the NASDAK dropped ten fifty. Chief Economic advisor at Alliance
Mohammed l Arian says the White House is all in
on these tariffs. Despite the down markets.

Generational flooding is how the National Weather Service is describing
potential weather in the South and Midwest. More than fifty
