sharply lower after a relief rally lost steam. The major
averages surged to start the day on news that the
US was in tariff talks with trading partners, but then
plunged in late trading after the White House confirmed it'll

Chinese imports starting tomorrow. At the closing bell, the Dow
Jones Industrial average fell three hundred and twenty points to
thirty seven six hundred and forty five. The S and
P five hundred lost seventy nine points, and the NASDAK
dropped three hundred and thirty five points. President Trump has
signed an executive order that aims to revitalize the coal
industry in the US. Coal is the single most reliable, durable, secure,

and powerful form of energy there is on earth. Today,
in a ceremony at the White House today, Trump said
he is ending what he called former President Biden's war
on clean coal. He said Biden put thousands of coal
miners out of work during his time in office. The
White House said the order will reverse policies that slowed
coal production in the country. Trump noted European countries are
moving back to coal energy after switching to green energy

like wind. The Menendez brothers resentencing hearing is set for Friday.
Lyle and Eric have been serving life sentences for the
nineteen eighty nine murder of their parents in their Beverly
Hills home. Last October, then District Attorney George Gascon recommended
re sentencing for the brothers, who claimed they were sexually
abused by their father and that their mother was aware,

But the new DA plans to ask a judge to
withdraw the resentencing request, claiming the brothers have shown no remorse.
The entire hearing may be moved after California Governor Gavin
Newsom sent the case to the parole Board. A former
MLB players reportedly among the dead after a roof collapse
at a Dominican Republic nightclub, Octavo d'otel, passed away from
his injuries after being taken to the hospital. At least

six more were injured in the early Tuesday incident. The
sister of retired MLB star Nelson Cruz reportedly was also killed.
The collapse happened during a performance by a popular singer.

A bipartisan bill introduced by Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley would
give Congress more control over tariffs. President Trump says he'll
veto the bill if it passes, but Grassley is holding firm.

down during an assault. Deutsch is alleged to have taken
the child to Texas and left her with a friend,
