A top advisor to President Trump says the administration's tariffs
are working. Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press, Peter Navarro
pushed back against concerns the White House didn't have a
plan for implementing the tariffs, saying they were issued with
a specific goal in mind.

President Trump says he'll be announcing teriff rates on imported
semiconductors this week. Trump made the announcement sundown board Air
Force One, adding there'll be a certain amount of flexibility
for certain companies. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik said Sunday that
semiconductors wouldn't be included in certain tariff exemptions announced Friday
for electronics like phones and computers. Trump's reciprocal tariff's current

include one hundred and twenty five percent on Chinese goods,
which Beijing has matched on US imports to that country.
The US now has its highest number of measles cases
since twenty nineteen, details from Lisa Carton.

On Friday, the CDC announced there are now seven hundred
and twelve confirmed cases of measles across twenty four states.
That's one hundred and five more cases than last week.
Officials are warning that the number is likely an undercount
due to delays in reporting. Currently, eleven percent of this
year's measles patients have needed to be hospitalized, and the
majority of those were children. Roughly ninety percent of the
