Vice President J. D. Evans is casting a tie breaking
vote to kill a Senate resolution that would undo President
Trump's trade policy. The Senate on Wednesday rejected a resolution
that would have revoked Trump's emergency order allowing him to
impose lobal tariffs. The vote was tied forty nine forty nine,
mostly along party lines, with a handful of Republicans joining
Democrats in support of the resolution. President Trump is hitting

The High Court heard arguments Wednesday as Oklahoma's Saint Isidore
of Seville Catholic Virtual School is seeking to join the
state's charter school program. The school is opposed by the
state's Republican Attorney General, as well as public and charter
school advocates, who argue this would threaten the separation of
church and state by allowing taxpayer money to go towards

religious education. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of
the school, it could allow other religious schools to apply
for public funding as well. I'm Brian Shook.

Starbucks opened a new type of store in Brownsville, Texas
this week. A large three D printing machine made panels
for the store's outer shell using a concrete like material.
Windows doors in a porch were then built to complete

Congressman kwaisium Fume and Jerry Nadler, as well as Congresswoman
Robin Kelly, initially signed on as co sponsors of Congressman
Street Tenadar's resolution, but the trio went to the House
floor on Tuesday asking for their names to be taken
off the legislation. It's a move that may signal many
in the party currently don't want to go down the
path of trying to remove the president from office. Spokespeople
for Kelly and Mfume say the lawmakers initially signed on

to the effort because they assumed it had been reviewed
by leadership, but changed their plans after learning it was not. Now,
Congresswoman Jan Schakowski remains as the only co sponsor of

President Trump's global tariffs may mean fewer toys under the
Christmas tree this year. The CEO of the Toy Association
told The New York Times earlier this week that because
of tariffs, the industry is facing a frozen supply chain
that's putting Christmas at risk. On Wednesday, Trump appeared to
acknowledge that there might be a toy shortage this year.
