Minutes, President Trump is stripping Harvard University of its tax
exempt status. Trump made the announcement in a post on
True Social and added it's what they deserve. It comes
after the White House asked the IRS to take away
the school's status last month, after Trump threatened to stop
funding at top schools to pressure them to get rid

of DEI programs, among other things. White House National Security
Advisor Mike Waltz is in line to be the next
ambassador to the United Nations. That leaves a big hole
in President Trump's cabinet.

We need somebody with good experience and great credentials, and somebody,
most importantly, who has the President's trust.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Senator John Cornn of Texas says that China is eyeing
a takeover of Taiwan. If that happens, he says, the
US needs someone experienced in national security at the President's
side in Wallace's abbat. Since Secretary of State Marco Rubio
will fill that role and tell a replacement can be found,
it's not the first time that's happened. Secretary of State
Henry Kissinger did the same thing during the Nixon administration.

Last month's jobs report is better than expected. The Labor
Department says one hundred and seventy seven thousand new jobs
were added last month. Senior business correspondent Christine Roman says
vomiting cargo shipments will likely change those numbers.

And what that means is that companies have just halted
their orders. So if you're a small business and you're
having them to sell, right, you're going to start laying
people off because you're not going to be getting ready
for back to school, for the fall autumn season, for Christmas.
So you'll be watching the small and medium independent retailers
and companies to see how all of this is going
to affect them. That's where I'm looking first.

Jehan diddy Combe says he has rejected a last minute
plea deal ahead of next week sex trafficking trial. During
a pre trial conference on Thursday, a federal judge asked
the former rap star if he rejects the offer being
made by pro prosecutors, and he replied, yes, I do.
The deal included a lighter sentence in exchange for a

London courtroom this morning, charged with rape and sexual assault.
A forty nine year old British actor and comedian is
facing accusations from four women for alleged crimes that happened
between nineteen ninety nine and two thousand and five. He
denies all the allegations. A settlement has been reached between
the City of Chicago and actor Jesse Smollett Lisa Taylor

The former Empire star was convicted in twenty twenty one
for staging a racist and homophobic attack and then lying
to police. Smollette's conviction was overturned by the Illinois Supreme
Court in November. The City of Chicago filed a civil
lawsuit in twenty nineteen against the actor, claiming they spent
one hundred thirty thousand dollars on overtime during the initial investigation.
A status hearing involving the settlement to set for May
